he might actually have trouble once he starts dating jeremy because of that. i wouldn't be surprised that jean's trauma causes overdependency on his part and that this strains their relationship. i feel like jean has grounds to be very insecure, with what being left behind at the nest not once but twice. plus, he has no healthy role models to look up to — except perhaps andreil, who are very peculiar themselves.

jean will probably have to learn how to be his own person, hopefully with the help of friends such as cat and laila.

i know that some people don’t want jean to end up in a relationship and want him to heal on his own instead, and i get this perspective at some point, however i think it’s important to remember that jean literally craves for his own person. that’s why he waited for nathaniel, his own partner, his unfulfilled promise, for years even though he knew nathaniel wasn’t coming. that’s why he held onto kevin for so long to survive in the nest. that’s why he answered renee’s texts even though he knew he shouldn’t. he has so much love in his heart even though it broke him so many times. he was never allowed to have anything or anyone. that’s why i think he needs to love and to be loved in return just as much. i believe love will save him in the end.

I have the impression that this trilogy is going the opposite way from the original trilogy.

All for the game... in other words, Everything is worth it for the game.

Not All for the game... not everything goes in the game, because it is a game. A game to have fun.

Trojan thinking goes, in fact, in the opposite direction to that of Kevin and Neil. Jeremy thinks it's "just a game" while for Kevin and Neil it's not. It would be super interesting if Jean achieved this mentality.

I feel like Jeremy thinks it’s Neil’s fault Jean was worse mentally when he came back than he left, so he hates Neil for that. Neil is upset Jeremy didn’t keep Jean safe.

Andrew dislikes Jean over Neil’s time at The Nest. Jean thinks Andrew is Neil’s rapid pet goalkeeper and dislikes him for not trying with exy? Idk

Here’s the thing, this dislike is so incredibly irrational. Jeremy didn’t know and tried to be a good friend to Jean. With Neil it was bad timing, he offered Jean an out, but they were trapped in the situation anyway. Jean literally kept Neil alive, gotten abused with him, and literally saved his life re:waterboarding. Andrew likes Neil and is also emotionally repressed like Jean, and ultimately they have a lot in common.

You know Jean destroys the monsters dorms? Consider Jean having another episode but Jeremy is there.

He hugs Jean. Jean struggles for a moment, but Jeremy doesn't let go because Jean is going to hurt himself and Jeremy would rather be hated than let that happen.

Then Jean just breaks. He falls to the floor and he breaks.

He cries tears he thought had long since dried up. He cries for the childhood he lost, the sister he left behind, the pain he suffered at the hands of monsters.

Neil and Jean end up on the same team. Jean just wants to strangle Neil every day of her life, while Neil pisses off Jean and her new team, and everyone says. "Could you check on your childhood friend, Jean?" and Jean shakes and drags Neil everywhere on the court when he reaches him.

They are the nightmare of the press service. Jean hit Neil in the neck on air and becomes a meme and the most viewed thing on exy news in history.

When Andrew comes to their house, Jean is hospitable. He makes French pastries for Neil and Andrew and locks himself in the room because he doesn't want to see whatever the devilish couple is doing. Andrew barely greets him but eats everything he makes.

When Jeremy comes home, Neil is not at all hospitable. He looks at Jeremy like he's an FBI infiltrator. Neil doesn't close the door. He sits in the middle of the couch between Jeremy and Jean, and calls Jean's room as many times as he can. On one occasion, he set the kitchen on fire (on purpose) because he wants Jeremy Knox to show his cards.

When Neil, in one of his attempts to prevent the couple from being alone, knocks over one of Jean's magnets and breaks it (accidentally), Jeremy grabs Neil by the neck and scratches his head with his knuckles. Neil screams in surprise.

Neil is stunned when Jeremy tells him:

"Sometimes you have a very bad attitude! You should reflect on what you have done."

When Andrew asks him if Jeremy has laid a hand on him, Neil tells the truth: "Jeremy... ruffled my hair. And he said I have a bad attitude."

Andrew doesn't know how to take that.
