I had the great fortune of finishing Camp Demascus before going to Queer Camp over the weekend, and while the absolute contrast of it made my heart soar, I thought I should share that so many people did happy flappy hands when I told them your book includes romantic co-stimming. You know what I love about Gyomei? And bear with me, because I'm not the best writer and it's so hard for me to be normal about this man and talk about him without stimming profusely - ANYWAY.

As a person who read the manga front to back and read about the descriptions of Gyomei's breathing style, movements and fighting style on the wiki, it is so exciting to see him animated, and it confirms all f the head-canon's I had about him fighting!

Sorry if I get a little nerdy or whatever, but I absolutely love, that I was right about one thing. ONCE HE STARTS, HE CANNOT STOP. Also, his weapon is NOT JUST DEADLY TO DEMONS! He is also a danger to HIMSELF! I mean, obviously, but just think about that! It's so cool! He has to simultaneously listen to the reverberations of his chain, get a mental image of his target and attack with INSANE accuracy, All while dodging his own axe and flail.

If you go frame by frame - yes, I did because I'm a nerd and have been waiting for this moment for like 2 years or whenever the Hashira meeting episode was first aired - you can see Gyomei using the chain as a BATTLING ROPE!! THAT IS SO COOOOOLL!! (calm down mod. deep breath) THIS MEANS, that he has to maintain a constant flow of momentum. And let's face it, he has the lower and upper body strength to do it! WHICH ALSO EXPLAINS WHY HE'S SO BIG!

I wondered, from the moment I read about his flash back or any of the little tidbits about him, why he wend from being thin to being extremely Jacked. One, it's because he believes a robust lower half is essential to maintaining stability, power etcetera - and he's right, because you're (supposed) to lift any and everything with your legs.

And, if you keep watching, he uses his chain, axe and flail as Nunchaku! Meaning the more momentum he has, the deadlier the attack. AND, you'll se him do a jumping side spin, which means he is JUMPING OVER AND DUCKING EITHER CHAN THAT HE IS USING. One, to not get hurt, Two, SO THEY DON'T GET TANGLED! Because you'll see him use his neck as well.

I IMPLORE ALL OF MY OG GYOMEI STANS - if you haven't already - TO GO BACK AND WATCH THAT SCENE FRAME BY FRAME. Because it is truly amazing and I just... Ahh~ I love him and his strength and resolve! And he did it so fluently! When we saw Tengen do some of the same (no shade because Tengen is fucking amazing too) He was screaming to the top of his lungs against Gyutaro.

Gyomei just did it, like he 'bout that life. UGHSRLGL;S I cannot. There are so many other things I'm missing, but that was the one that made me do the flappy hands, internal scream combo.

Autistic!L Lawliet x Autistic!Reader who are polar opposites

L has always been rather quiet, even as a child

He didn't start talking until about 6, and even then he only began talking because it communicated his needs more efficiently

He prefers quiet spaces and being alone, because it allows him to focus more

He also hates chaos or unplanned things. If he has time to plan something out to a T, he can make sure nothing will go wrong, therefore insuring the safety of everyone

This being said, he never thought you were someone he'd remotely like being around, let alone dating you

No offense, but you are literally everything he hates

And when he comes into contacts with the things that make him uncomfortable (such as chaos, loudness, etc) he can get panicky

He will quickly become overwhelmed and irritable, meaning the littlest things can make him snap

If he can't focus how can he save the world? If the world isn't saved by him than who will do it? Panicking isn't helping though, it's making things worse. Oh god, he can't stop! He can't think straight long enough to calm down!

And then kaboom, he basically just shuts down

The second he met you he was on his guard, knowing this likely wouldn't end well

He prefers to not work with people, but he can handle them as long as they're quiet

This is entirely out of the question

As you can guess, your first meeting is almost a disaster

Well, everyone else didn't know it was a disaster of course. They actually thought it went pretty well!

But in actuality, L was completely overwhelmed by you

Not even you actually, just the idea that you might overwhelm him

TLDR: He became overwhelmed thinking about how overwhelmed you might make him, so you essentially did nothing wrong lol

After this, he keeps his distance

Of course though, this makes for a bad work environment

So he nervously invites you into his hotel room and explains things to you

How he feels around you, explaining his autism (which he refuses to do under normal circumstances), and asking you to explain yours as well so he can formulate an arrangement for you to be around each other without causing him to panic

After this communication is had, working together is a lot smoother

He considers you a better acquaintance than the rest of his employees

Meaning he feels closer to you

However, when you begin dating your differences are just another quirk to him that he finds endearing

He loves to see you get excited and flap your hands, he loves to see you dance to your loud music, he loves all of it

If he isn't in the headspace for loudness though, he will of course inform you before going off to be alone

If you want to try to accommodate his preferences into your behaviors is up to you, but he is perfectly happy either way

He finds himself feeling safe around you because of your loudness

Like, you are a German Shepard and he is a hurt bird

He'll hide behind you with his big ol' eyes staring at his surroundings while you fight off anyone that might be too much for him

And being exposed to you all the time helps him expose himself little by little to things that would previously make him very uncomfortable

For example, he can now go out in public without panicking over how many people there are and how many things could go wrong for short bursts of time

And he is now fine with soft music playing in the background while he works rather than just total silence the entire time

He also likes that having you around means you can do the talking for both of you and he doesn't have to actually break his focus for anything

Kyouya has the highest amount of self control when getting feeling the zoomies out of his whole family....

during the start of fusion.

After he joined the gang, the ability to control himself began to slip further the more time he spends with them. He is seen stimming a lot more to have an outlet, usually wiggling his fingers and rubbing his hands. He cannot let the silly out, not in front of them.

While he was with Wild Fang, they'd have a strategy meeting in their team room and Kyouya is only half listening because he felt the zoomies kick in, and all his attention slipped away on trying to supress all of it. Until the meeting was done, Nile, Demure and Benkei left the room, in that moment Kyouya climbed on top of the table.

When Nile came back because Kyouya wasn't following them, they only see Kyouya crouching on the table, contemplating his life choices.

I’ve had multiple times at school where I’ve seen or thought abt something that could trigger an autism nuclear explosion but I was in a very quiet classroom so I couldn’t really do anything and just had one wrist going wild with a flappy hand while I was otherwise completely still. this is related to a post i reblogged earlier but i think many allistics (especially ones who are on social media a lot) are starting to view autism as “yay flappy hands, cute stim toys, i’m so socially awkward owo” and not as, like, an actual life-changing disability. i don’t know if this is because they’re unaware of our struggles or because they’re choosing not to acknowledge them out of privileged guilt, or maybe it’s a combination of both. but when people’s only exposure to autism is the palatable and socially acceptable version of it, i.e. merely a set of quirky traits, they remain unsupportive of us when we need their help the most. because to them, that’s not the “autism” that they’ve been taught about on tiktok; it’s something unfamiliar, scary, and entirely different. and i hate it. i hate how everyone is all “yay autism” until we actually show symptoms of having a harder time functioning in society than other people do. i hate the way the aspects of autism that *are* talked about are just infantilized. it’s so infuriating how the actual hardships that come with being autistic are almost never talked about, in favor of looking at autistic joy like it is an exhibit at a zoo.

Some random Journey to the West headcanons because the hyperfixation is strong tonight:

Sanzang is aroace (so even if he wasn’t a monk and celibate, he still wouldn’t be interested in any of the people or demons who wanna do the do with him)

He didn’t have many friends growing up in the monastery, so his first year or so of the journey was kind of awkward for him, since he didn’t really know how to interact with people

Wukong is autistic (it’s canon guys Wu Cheng’en told me himself) and stims by jumping around, wagging his tail, and doing the hand flappy thing. Sanzang is ALSO autistic and stims by rubbing the hem of his kasaya between his fingers and whispering certain sutras to himself (echolalia)

Bajie hates sour foods with a passion. He’ll eat literally anything else, though

Wukong and Wujing have been trying to figure out how to test if he’ll even eat things that are not food, such as leaves or loose strings they rip off their clothes. So far they have been unsuccessful

Wujing has the best singing voice (it’s super deep and absolutely lovely to listen to). Sanzang’s pretty good, but he doesn’t like to do it in front of other people. Long Ma’s not bad if he tries, but he just doesn’t really care to practice anymore. Bajie’s not good in any sense of the word, but at least he’s not tone-deaf. Nobody wants to hear Wukong’s singing voice ever again

Long Ma is super clumsy—not, like, “oh no I’m such a klutz I tripped over air and fell right into your strong masculine arms” clumsy, more like “I can’t take two steps without smashing into a wall or knocking over a lamp and I have bruises all over my body from it” kind of clumsy

One of the main things that Wukong and Sanzang bonded over (once they learned how to get along) was never really having a family before the journey. Sanzang hadn’t known anything about his parents until he was 18 (I think), and only had his mom for a little bit before she committed su*c*de. Wukong had never even HAD parents in the first place, he has no clue what a blood family is really like. Wukong’s one of the first people Sanzang really feels comfortable enough around to open up to about his past, since he knows the Monkey King will understand

The first time Long Ma turned into his humanoid form in front of the whole group, Bajie and Wujing freaked out because they forgot he could do that

They also screamed when he spoke in horse form for the first time

Sanzang is a history nerd, but only really for Buddhism-related history and that of his own town, since that was all that interested him before going on the journey west and it’s kind of hard to study when you’re constantly on the road (this one’s based on how he knew about the Spread Gold Monastery in the wedding ball arc)

Genereal hcs:

he was created by Medic in a lab. think green goo in a glass tube kind of lab

he also kinda looks like Medic because he used his own DNA to create Archie

Archie is about 3

his body was created to be ~20, but mentally he's about 13

the original Archimedes is still alive too, Medic just took some of his dna

he doesn't talk much, mostly because he doesn't fully know how to, but also he just doesn't feel the need to talk a lot. He can hold up a conversation pretty well if he wants to tho

he liked to listen to people talk, even if he doesn't really understand what they're talking about

he's pretty smart for someone who's had a bird brain for most their life

Archie is also Aroace and has Misophonia

he gets startled easily, and is afraid of loud sounds

for that reason, he often wears noise-cancelling earphones

he often listens to music too, partially because he likes to listen to music, and partially because it's a more fun alternative to noise-cancelling earphones

he actually sometimes pairs two of those up. no noise, just music

he stims a lot!! he gets flappy hands/ jumps around/squeaks when he's happy and rocks/clasps hands when he's uncomfortable

he plays DnD with Miss Pauling and the mercs

Archie also likes wearing dresses, he doesnt really get the concept of gender/ roles, he just wears whatever looks cool

he reffers to pretty much anyone by "Herr" (sir) or "Frau" (miss/mrs). With the exeption of Spy (in my hc hes genderfluid) for how her he uses both Frau and Herr, for Merasmus he'll use Frau, for Pyro he'll use Herr, Frau and nothing (as in he just calls her Pyro)

Medic:

his father obviously

you make a single hair fall from Archie's head, you're dead.

he's surprisingly a very loving father

he tries to teach him what ~little~ he knows about medicine/anatomy/healing

he infodumps about his projects to him a lot, Archie likes to listen

he teaches him how to read, write and talk, both in English and German

Archie assists him while he's working a lot; he isn't really bothered by surgeries, so he helps out in those too

Medic has so many of his drawings in his office

they talk a lot, he's mostly the one to answer his constant questions about everything (questions like "why is the sky") (Medic enjoys answering them a lot too)

they just hang out together most of the time, whether that's reading, watching a movie, going out for a walk, cooking, just talking and being around eachother in general

Medic genuinely cares about Archie a lot

Pyro:

Archie loves hanging out with Pyro

they make friendship bracelets for everyone

Archie and her play with plushies all the time

they don't talk much when around each other, but they understand each other perfectly

Archie is also one of the few people (besides Engie and Spy) that actually understand what Pyro is saying

they watch cartoons and horror films together

they draw together a lot too!!

Scout:

two dubious little creatures getting up to mischief. this is no good.

that being said, they do pranks all the time together

they get sugar rushes together and run around the base

they do karaoke together!! by that i mean they sing California Girls at like 2 in the morning

Archie, him and Pyro get together sometimes and draw for like 6 hours straight, listening to music/ watching a movie/ just talking

he shows Archie all the cool spots, like how to get to rooftops or good hiding spots in the base

Scout teaches Archie swear words "in secret." Medic isn't too happy about it

we stay silly :p

they watch action movies together

Scout used to make fun of him as a joke, Archie usually laughed along, but one day he was having a bad day and Scout pushed it a little too far and made him cry. He almost got killed for that

they do nerf battles together!! they usually get all the other mercs to play aswell, but sometimes it's just the two of them running around

Scout talks so much to him, because Archie doesn't interrupt him.

Sniper:

they've played like every board game in existence together

Sniper takes Archie camping, and they often hang out together in his van

Archie reads books with him very often, Mundy explains words to him and helps him read hard words

they also watch old movies! mostly comedies

for the two of the most quiet people on the team, they surprisingly talk a lot when they're around eachother!

they also play monopoly with pyro, miss Pauling and demo a lot! they all help Archie read the cards

he teaches Archie how to shoot from a bow

Spy:

Spy is too embarrassed to admit that he cares for Archie

Archie loves getting praised by him for some reason

he gives him headpats a lot

he's very careful not to smoke around him, he know Medic would kill him for it

Archie took his cloak watch that one time, Spy didn't have the heart to take it way from him because he was having fun

Heavy:

Archie was very afraid of him the first few monts, but slowly came around to liking him

they hang out a lot! probably not talking much, mostly reading books in the same room, it's their way of bonding

Heavy takes him on walks a lot

He teaches Archie how to cook too

he tries to be the best dad he can for him

teaches him self defence and how to use guns

he's trying to teach Archie Russian, but knows to take it slow, he knows Medic is trying to teach him two languages already, he knows it'd be too much pressure

you make Archie cry - he will make sure you feel as much pain as physically possible.

Demo:

him, Archie, Pyro, and Sniper play Monopoly a lot!

they mostly do arts n crafts together (carving shit out of wood, making animals out of wires n stuff)

Demo also helps Heavy teach him how to cook

Engi:

He's like a third father to Archie

they also hang out all the time

Engi takes him fishing!

he teaches him how to talk, read and write

he infodumps about his projects to Archie

he also teaches him how to code!

he calls Archie "birdie" all the time

he also calls him "kid/kiddo" / "boy" / "honeybee" / "darling"

(not in a romantic way, he just has a nickname for everyone)

Him, Archie and Sniper go camping every week

regrettably Archie doesn't hang out with him as much, because he is very loud

Archie really likes her actually

she stays with him when the mercs are doing contracts and stuff like that

like she gives him homework n makes sure he's making progress

She includes him in their DnD sessions! she also plays Monopoly with him, Sniper, Demo and Pyro

I may be seen as an animator I do enjoy taking time to render my work eventho I'm struggling to start the color (that's why there's not much of a finished color render piece lmao) but when I get the grip of it, I do enjoy the process a lot

It just take a looooooooong time to finish

On the animation side, I think My first tiny Littlewood animatic still sits strong and has a special place in my heart

Martyn also did a reaction to it and having his chat being excited for it made me beyond happy :)

My Thesis film with my friend was great don't get me wrong, but I watched them to check stuff too many times, with lots of stress, It was bittersweet for me and I wish we'd had time and mind to make it better

but it is what it is, We have limited time and even it was stressed af

It's very much worth it, My team was the best, I'm really lucky to have worked with them and I'm glad ppl like the message we put in our film :D

I am autistic as well, and also do flappy stims. I also run the risk of catatonic episodes. Tell Duncan he is a good boy. (BTW, I noticed I picked up vocal stims that make me sound like a parrot)

I was actually diagnosed a little over a year ago now and there’s been so many things that I’m like “ohhhh that makes so much sense now”. It’s not something that impedes on my life super drastically but also a lot of my struggles socially make so much more sense now.

It’s funny because the reason I actually reached out to my therapist about it is bc my boyfriend at the time and so many of my friends kept making jokes about me being autistic and I was like “wow these are funny except I’m not autistic (:” and some of them were like “no, we’re not joking.”

Got myself some stuff to celebrate and went out for some nice dinner with parents. Probably gonna properly celebrate next week ish with friends as that's when they're free. Woo! Also I just finished rewatching the rottmnt movie bc it is my birthday and I deserve it.
