Fahed (@/fahed-2) & Reem (@/reem-reem-0), fled south together with their children & their children's grandmother. Fahed's sister's family of 5 fled south as well, and the 13 of them remained together. But after 14 months of surviving hell as a unit (and nearly reaching their campaign goal) the family is now facing one of the worse decisions imaginable: who will be able to evacuate Gaza and who will be forced to stay behind.

There may be an opportunity for evacuation soon, but they're bracing for separation, with Fahed staying behind with his sister and her family. It's hard enough reunifying in Gaza, but with the border with Egypt between them, there's no telling when (or if) they'll ever see each other again. It shouldn't be a choice this family has to make: who survives, who may not. Their kids shouldn't be forcibly separated from their dad, nor Reem from her husband.

Fahed & Reem are some of the kindest, gentlest people ever, and their kids are dazzling, just absolute sweethearts. They've all lost so much and experienced too much, and somehow, kept finding a way to endure.

But right now, they might lose each other, so please: pitch in what you can, help the Shehabs stay together 🙏

Hello, my name is Jaber Mohammad Al-Dahdouh. I’m 13 years old, and I’m sharing my story of how war has taken everything from my family and me 💔😔.

I grew up in northern Gaza, where we lived a life of comfort and love 💖🏠, all thanks to my mother, Maysaa ❤️, who has a heart condition 💔, and my father, who worked hard to provide a bright future for us 🌟👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. My siblings—Shabaan, Hanan, Ahmed, and my youngest sister Ameera, our little darling 👧💖—were my closest friends, and we shared dreams 🌈, laughter 😂, and plans for a life full of hope 🌅✨.

I was a student 📚 at the Rosary Sisters School, part of the Union of Churches. My school meant so much to me; it was more than a building 🏫. It was my second home 🏡, a place where I felt safe and happy 😊💛, surrounded by friends and childhood laughter 👦👧💫.

But in a single moment, our lives were turned upside down 💔😢. The war destroyed our home 🏠💥 and my beloved school 🏫💔, and we were forced to flee south under heavy bombing 💣💥💨. We took refuge in the Nuseirat area, hoping to find safety 🤲. Yet even there, we were not spared; fighter jets bombed ✈️💥 the very place where we had sought shelter. I witnessed family members being taken from us in that attack 🕊️😭.

I share my story today as a child who has lost almost everything: my home 🏠💔, my school 🏫🌪️, family members 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🕊️, and even my dreams 🌠. I am reaching out not only to share the pain 💔 but to search for a glimmer of hope 🌄 to help rebuild our lives.

I humbly ask for your support 🤲💖 to help me and my family through this tragedy 🕊️. My mother, Maysaa, is unwell with a heart condition 💔, and my remaining siblings and I need your support to rebuild from the devastation 🌈🌟. Her husband, Ahmed, migrated a week before the genocide, but he cannot provide for his family, as he's still waiting for his asylum application to be accepted. His family is living in Gaza in the worst conditions, without access to proper food, water, shelter or medicine

They have a gofundme set up to help cover all the costs of repairing their destroyed home, migrating, and other things, the details of which you can find in the gofundme's description. the al manasra family is still fundraising to pay for manal’s life-saving operation in cairo and is still only about halfway to their complete goal. please help them. your donations have made it possible for this family to stay together once the border crossing opens, but please do not forget about them now that they are registered for evacuation. the reality remains that mohamed is being forced to pay out-of-pocket for medical treatment that every israeli is guaranteed for free thanks to imperialist extraction.
