You don't wish your disability was worse or more visible, you wish your disability was taken seriously. Please stop confusing the two, I guarantee you would not get the support you need JUST by being more severe or more visible. Please listen to visibly disabled people when we tell you it isn't better on our side

#m/cc #mine #I tried extremely hard to word this nicely because I KNOW people don't mean bad and often even know there are unique challenges #and believe me I know the challenges of invisible disability too!!#I have invisible disabilities!#but as someone who has also been at least visibly 'off' since they were 10 I am SO SICK of invisible disabilities being hailed as like #a unique extra oppression that us lucky visibly disabled people don't have to deal with #there are challenges to invisible disabilities that visibly disabled people DON'T have to deal with!#but you need to understand that *the reverse is also true*#there are MASSIVE benefits to being able to lie about your disability for example #or not dealing with the overt ableism that comes with your disability being obvious to everyone #*I do not have the option to pretend I'm not disabled.* that is never an option I have #I walk weirdly. I use a mobility aid now. my speech and face are 'off.' I lean to one side #for a long time I wore sunglasses 24/7 and often didn't make sense. I sometimes can't speak or won't react to others #for the most part people will always know that at the very least something is wrong with me #and more obviously I have people telling me they'll pray for me; telling me I can't do things I'm already in the process of doing;#wanting to shake my hand to tell me I'm an inspiration for not killing myself; giving me dirty looks for existing in public #and yes. I'm aware that this is very much an in-community issue. I know the average abled person doesn't know invisible disabilities exist #that's why there's so much awareness happening for it #but as a visibly disabled person I get SO TIRED of constantly hearing 'I wish my disability was visible :'('#it's just 'I wish I had your disability!' but from other disabled people

recently i reread a bunch of my favorite sherlock holmes stories (norw my beloved) and felt compelled to create my own diagram for 221B

#sherlock holmes #there are so many great blueprints and maps out there and i thought it would be fun to toss my own hat into the ring #trying to be accurate to what is mentioned in the books #while still allowing for some fun artistic embellishments #was a nice challenge!#i ended up doing lestrades office too but of course you never do see that in canon so it was much more vibes~ based #i am going to color this and spruce it up some but we needed break here before diving back in #since i think the timelapse of this drawing is longer than some feature films 💀💀💀#anyway definitely open these images in a new tab and zoom in if you can bc these are really big

The love triangle WORKS because:

Patrick has Art as soulmates do, seeing and understanding each other in a way no one else can. In silent stares and sly smirks and shared beds and a complete mastery one the other’s psyche.

Patrick loves Tashi in the way being full only comes after hunger. Oil fueling fire, burning bright before burning everything around them. Feeling love for the first time and never knowing when its too much or not enough.

Art needs Patrick in the same way you have a side of the bed you always sleep on, a brand of detergent you always buy. Stability in the unpredictable, how Patrick knows when to push and when to pull. How he has the spare key to the lock box where Art hides his desires.

Art loves Tashi like a dog needs a master. Freedom in being directed and told, the security you get from being a devoted follower to a higher being.

(And once Tashi is dragged into their orbit like a stray asteroid taken off its course)

Tashi loves Art in the same way you hate all your wasted potential. An alternative future, a time machine that could take you to where your body has not betrayed you. In him and through him she’s given every path: as a wife, a mother, a coach, a puppet master but never a player.

Tashi wants Patrick in the way smokers ignores labels on cigarette boxes. The beauty of self-destruction and passion she’s lost. Constantly chasing a high that hurts so good you’d risk everything to have it again.

Tashi hates and loves them both in equal measure. Resenting them for taking the one thing she loved away from her and forcing her to live her own dreams through two diverging paths. Loving them enough to push them back together where they belong.

And yeah, because the third in their love triangle was always tennis🙄

It’s never overstated to me when people are like “work out bc it makes you feel better” bc it literally does. I think what I used to get hung up on is making the perfect schedule / wanting to know what I was doing right away. But it’s also okay to flounder at first and experiment w things and figure out what works for you and your body. The important thing is you’re starting out bc your body really will thank you for it later down the line. You cannot keep pushing it off it will add up

#“Work out not bc you hate your body but bc u love it” is the truest statement ever #I also don’t think a gym membership is needed bc I know straight up athletes who only ever do bodyweight workouts #It helps me so that’s why I have one but it’s by no means necessary #I still do at home workouts at times bc I think they’re rly fun and a nice switch up #And just playing around and finding out what works for me but what also challenges me #I don’t think I perfected it yet but I’m doing lots of research & experimenting w things & I also just love the endorphins it gives me #My friend and I are ab to start regularly biking through nature trails & I think that will be so therapeutic for me bc I usually just #Work out at the gym/at home. It’ll be a nice little addition #And buying cute workout two pieces actually motivates me to work out too they make me feel like a Pinterest girl fr

Oh my gosh I am so impatient 😭 anyways another little traditional comic test using my copics and stuff. This is where the dads meet a certain musician. Can you guess which one?

It’s funny cuz I wanted to buy a spiral sketchbook for this type of stuff and I got two for $10, plus they were 40% off. And then I got new liners cuz mine were dying for $7 and THOSE were also 40%. I spent a total of $12 which is a HUGE deal. Unfortunately the quality isn’t as good with the sketchbooks 😅 as you can see, the copics reeeeally bled into the lineart so that is gonna be a challenge, but it’s not biggie! It’s not meant to look perfect anyway! Maybe I need a thicker line but for now I must suffer

Anyways the dads are so silly to me. I love them. Leon is kind of a pain to deal with here, but you’ll understand why soon enough. He has a reason he’s acting this way 🤌

Or rather - I immediately had this and another idea but wasn't satisfied either way #I opted for this one because The Feelings and the bonus - additions oddly energizing!#I think it's that at first I was too strongly reminded of the one I made of Edgar cutting Scriabin's hair #Poses too similar! Feelings too similar! Not new or shiny or sparkly or anything!!!#But then the bonus came to mind and cute Scriabin is always nice <3 #And then the pose expanded as well! Different! New challenges!#I've been trying to attempt more fullbodies this year :3 I don't make them that often! It's good practice all round!#Anatomy and consistency and more dynamic posing!!!!
