Been doing some rebranding on twitter for the sake of trying vtubing for fun and have so much art for my boy Arimist already cause i was making assets please look at him
Arimist goes by any pronouns, i just default to he/him, he’s a sea bunny prince from a world made of 90% water, here to learn about humans and earth through video games (it goes as well as you would imagine)

SD-I
Some fanart I did of @inkyprince s character SD-I! I saw their profile on my toyhouse notifications recently as well as the PNGtuber during the stream and loved the design, so I doodled them as warm-up for today :D
(also I saw the "fanart is welcome" reblog which may or may not convinced me too hehe)

Hey! I would love to offer my help to small vtuber(s) who may lack the funds to create their own PNGtuber model.
Disclaimer: I won't be designing the character this time around, so the person you recommend should already have a design of some sort. And depending on how many people join I may need to limit how many requests I can take.
You can of course recommend yourself or others as well.

hi :3 I saw your recent Wreck It Ralph vid (loved it) and seeing your avatar reminded me that I wanted to do something similar for my own vids? I am. Really bad at wording things my question is what size canvas did you use to draw them? And is there anything I need to keep in mind when implementing my own avatar into my YT vid like yt compressing the video or anything? I hope this makes sense like I said I suck at wording things 😭
Ooh okay!! Good question :] also I'm really happy you enjoyed!!
I am an amateur so idk how useful this info is but Here (dumps everything)
The emotes were made in Krita (any art software will work)
The canvas size was around 1000 x 1000 pixels
Starting out, doing a basic emotion sheet works well. Watching other PNGtuber videos helps you organize how many you may need and what emotions are used the most (expect to make 30 or more drawings, which is A LOT at first, and might take a couple weeks, but once you have them you can use them forever!)
Also start your video even if you're still working on emotes! It helps to sorta do everything at once :)
This grid doesn't cover everything I used (it was a very messy process) but it might be useful so here :)
I think its also a good idea to make a "base" and then mess with expressions from there. This one had a lot of usability. (and also a lot of layers)
Later on I found it most useful to listen to the stuff I recorded, and then make a drawing for that moment specifically. You can then apply that "emotion" to other places where it fits
this is probably my favorite example because i based the expression off King Candy LOL. USING REFERENCES IS FUN !!!!!!!!! And I ended up using this one a lot !
Also expect a lot of rejected designs and struggling w drawing expressions because it's Hard. Developing the style you want takes a lot of time!! (I scrapped these 3 i made early on)
//
Exporting and YouTube processing was a little tricky but here’s what worked for me:
- I used Davinci Resolve to export the project. My video was made at 24fps, the same framerate as my footage. (The Movie) Earlier on, I kept noticing my audio was too loud and weird glitchy visual artifacts kept showing up. After trial and error I found these settings worked the best:
Main takeaway, i legit dont understand how any of this works but:
ITU-R BS.1770-4 normalization for audio is Good
Lower your finished audio track to -13.5dB. It will sound quiet, but YouTube likes this and will make it a normal volume (?? I THINK?? Do your own testing, my final video was kind of quiet but nobody commented on it so its fine as long as it's consistent)
H.265 encoding with .mov format (aka QuickTime) is Good
And that's probably enough infodumping for now. Its okay to feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start but making a video is SO FUN and i encourage it more than anything :))) Take your time and learn at your own pace! There are lots of great tutorials online.
I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY EXISTING QUESTIONS

Happy New Year! I want to be more like, documentative of stuff I'm doing this year because it really helped me confidence wise to see how much I'd done once I sorted my drawings by year. So in lieu of just posting sketches, I think project progress posts might happen at least for a while if they're fun. Especially if folks find it interesting or helpful to see someone else do stuff at a different pace than "and now here's a finished thing". So with that in mind! OC and Vtuber mo(th)del stuff after the fold (long post):
Character Designing
You might remember my previous sketch for redoing her hairstyle (her OC name is Fay btw because mildly self inserting). In addition to the hair, I went and redesigned her outfit and figured out a color palette.
So Fay here had a few previous design iterations, a lot of the monstergirl bits are hugely influenced by Juniper Actias, one of my favorite streamers not only because she's a monstergirl enjoyer but also because she streams so much of her drawing and animation (rigging) work for her models its hugely inspiring (link for her twitch, other links are in her channel bio). I've obviously made sure to distinguish Fay here from Juniper but the influence is at least IMO undeniable nor am I particularly concerned with it being so noticeable, I'm just gonna give credit where it's due.
Face wise I was inspired by this (horny) art of like a bile titan (Helldivers 2) gijinka where the mouth split open on these seams, and that was such a cool way to have mandibles and a fucked up mouth opening (here https://vxtwitter.com/Museumofendings/status/1769777921747456421) cropping the image to show the example here because the original is kinda NSFWcore
On to the outfit, I had an old outfit design, a few actually, and those are here:
As you can see, the color palette's kept a few things and lost a few others. The teal color (my favorite color) has stayed even though I never made a conscious decision for that, it just felt right. That orange was originally picked for matching to the type of moth she's inspired by (Death's Head Hawkmoth) (also yes I know moths don't have mandibles but I'm a monsterfucker sooo...). We went from primarily sashes (its a lore thing) to being an old labcoat design mixed with some of the sashes. Conceptually she's a necromancer and the magic in my worldbuilding is very scientific in vibe, so the combo of doctor and whatnot is fun. You can also see that her claws now take the shape of scalpel blades which is very intentional (inspired by GirlDM's villainess model, Twitch Link more links in her channel bio too). Semi related the claws themselves are lorewise bone that she's grows into those shapes. Very The Locked Tomb core necromancy where its not so much skeletons as much as it is just manipulation of organic matter which is much more expansive and fun. Maybe someday I'll do a loredump about my fantasy setting I write in, but for now you just get that.
Vtuber Model Time
So I make Vtuber Models. Not a secret. I love the process, I love how creative the people that design vtubers can be. Great examples I follow not already mentioned above that I'm pretty sure make their own models are BooBeeQueen, Syraxis, LobotomyBunny, and if pngtubers are more your vibe you gotta see Oceonax who has so many bespoke animations its insane. Additionally if you watch PorcelainMaid AKA Jowol, he's done so many super sick character designs for folks to adopt as vtubers. So anyways, I love vtubers as a creative outlet and for animation its really really fun to see my own art moving just because I'm making faces at an iphone, like below! with my current/most recent model:
This little dark academia cowgirl was fun to make, she's got lots of hand toggles I was messing with, and what I learned when making her was a huge step up from my first model attempt you might remember, the android girl (link to old tumblr post here).
When it came to the moth here I have, a lot of ideas, but to keep it so it actually happens, I'm going with very basic for now. In total our project is going to have: - Face and body movements, facial and mouth tracking, and one or two hand postures to toggle, just like the cow lady up there. - A non-standing pose, as I've only done front-facing models so far and I really like how both Juniper's sitting model looks as well as Matara Kan's sitting pose.
For the tracking we know how to do that but will cover it once we get there for folks that are interested, right now we're making art assets, which folds into the pose! Here's the pose we're going with:
This half-kneeling I think is dynamic, in character, and is (I think) unique and interesting while being able to show off the whole outfit! Not super well pictured are here secondary arms, but we'll get there once we start rendering the parts, since lineart for these things looks...
... A little bit insane. If we're honest with ourselves.
The reason for this is because the model requires each piece that's going to move to be an individual layer and self-contained part. As you can see, the legs for instance are made up of chunks.
Vtuber models are functionally paper dolls, and you use temporary transform tool style warping to animate and move. For that to work the parts of the art needs to be "cut" up into these pieces. Not here that the foot and calf are one piece, I might change my mind and make each foot its own piece just for more options! For now though we're doing it this way.
The face and torso are directly front facing, this is because it's far easier to make a straight on face turned sideways look good than it is to take assets from a 3/4ths angle look anything normal facing forward, and we have to keep in mind the range of motion for those parts.
For the chest you can see here all the lineart for each of the nine (9) parts!
We do this here because we want each piece to have different physics. The way that her breasts move will be different than the cloth physics for the scarf, which is itself different from the cloth for the hanging fabric, and is itself different from the chest strap there, which isn't going to have physics but does need to move independently of the chest for working with facing angles.
We've only just started the head, but you can see here that the hair is already at least seven pieces, and the mouth interior is going to be more than ten.
As seen there where teeth and alternative texturing on the mandibles creates already eight of them, and we haven't even made the cavity parts like the throat or the (I'm not sorry) anatomically accurate proboscis tongue.
So that's where we're at as of 01-01-25! Welcome to 2025 by the by (how hellish). At this current pace, this might be done by the end of january.
I hope if you read this far that you thought this was interesting! Thanks by the way! I'm happy to answer questions if folks are interested in making vtuber models or why I picked different character design things, yapping about creating is always fun! Lastly you can have a bonus little drawing of F4 (the android girlie) I did a weekish ago~

Now this is Pastra, (well, technically he is clyde)
This was the one that made me realize that a PNGTuber can be amazing. IT has my fav design so far, and its an example of how to play with creature-like features as an adventage.
To show and hide the mouth or eyes at will, and how he uses his body to highlight his monstrous but charismatic characteristic. Also, I love how Zack creates a different versions of itself for special occasions, like the last two for the bendy video.
next one is going to be less excentric, because it isn't a horror theme channnel.
Again, I'm gathering this as a personal reference, because I would love to work by doing PNGtubers, and because it seems exciting to create mine one day (even tho I don't have a YouTube channel :v). And I think more people would like to have them gathered too.

So ive made two other fankids for cpuk ships and they were pretty straightforward conceptually, but for a while i couldnt think of anything interesting for hackshifter- felt clunky and odd to take the straightforward route, especially when I already see the Machs as essentially already being their Troubled Foster Kids now, so i didnt really see a point to inventing a new bio kid for them and didnt see any obvious avenues to make an Interesting design for one anyway. But then we rewatched CPUK Orange a few weeks ago and the implications of a line from j0hn got stuck in my head again and i made a creature
This is MachIIIna! 3M (pronounced Em) for short.
So, the idea with her is, when j0hn 'duplicated mach 2's AI and ran chess sims with it,' j0hn realized he was left with a fully formed artificial consciousness on his desktop, and, not feeling right about just getting rid of it, retooled it into a virtual assistant, who then eventually developed her own identity personality and quirks working from the same Baseline as CM2K.
Personality wise, shes like if an evil (read: mostly silly) supercomputer was a bratty teenage girl. The inferiority complex she and mach 2 were designed with is still present, but due to the healthier environment this mostly manifests as normal resentment of annoying siblings and normal teenage insecurity. If she was asked to watch Machi she'd put him in front of an ipad to watch cocomelon so she could go in the other room and complain to her besties while she played the most toxic demoman in tf2 you can concieve of, not pick fights with a baby, is what i mean.
She has no physical body- shes entirely digital. originally she just looked like that face display in the top right corner, but then she stole one of her dads' credit card information to commission herself a bunch of pngtuber style visual assets for self-expressions' sake and thats what the rest of the design shown here is. Views mach 2 as something like an estranged twin and will readily label herself the evil (and superior, having no binding to the limitations of flesh and blood! shes not being serious shes just playing up the the whole 'murder robot master computer' thing as a bit) twin, and they would look extremely similar if she had an organic body. Shes very overdramatic and expressive like him, but unlike him she's not really overcompensating, shes just Like That. Shes a very Loud sort of person. Type of girl to use a fainting couch for effect if she had a body. She loves explosives and keeps ordering bombs when j0hns not looking
She's able to hop around between the controls for most of the electronics in the lab, and likes to take the Nuke Suit out of the lab for joy rides sometimes. She's begged more than once for j0hn to let her take saferoth's controls for a spin like a 16 yr old asking to drive their dad's car, to which he obviously always says no. LOVES hacking into Riley's security camera feeds and spying on people it makes her feel like an omnipresent god of judgement (only really uses anything she learns to gossip with Larry or her internet friends. Singlehandedly responsible for the leaking of like half of what ends up in squid jenny's kerfuffle gossip reporting. She has no ability to keep a secret and doesnt care to develop one)
She wants to do tom and jerry shit to zapmouse its just cuteness aggression dont mind her

ALRIGHT SO, lets talk about text boxes, in almost every game, at least any that have a good story, have a text box where you can talk to the npc's. usually its a box below the screen with at least a name and then text in the middle, but i've been thinking about them a a lot, since the type of textbox for my game would impact the overall vibe A LOT, i want every chapter of my game to have a different vibe, my plans all have different themes for each town and place they go to. meaning that i want my text box to be simplistic and not to attracting. So i went to toby fox! , i love toby fox and his overal vibe, his text boxes are very simple, it has a white outlining and just a general black and white vibe with a single image of the character you are talking too.
Deltarune does smth similair except more detailed portraits and those little thingy's at the corners. i do have to say, as much as i admire Toby fox, and love his music... i have never played any of his games because i am broke as fuck i have played a bit of a demo before but that was AGGES ago, but AS SOON as i have enough money i will try it out!
BUT i don't want to copy toby fox, so i will try and take inspo from other games i like (and also havent played because i am broke...)
That and i find the black and white vibe to be to simplistic for my maximalist mind. So then another game i LOVE the art is great i have also been listening to its music before i knew it was from a game (and i also havent played it caus i'm broke..) OMORI!!
Omori also has a very simple vibe to it but it has multiple boxes 1 portrait that changes a lot! and a thingy where you can see the name of the person you are talking to! i also remember from a random jaiden animation stream i watched where she played Omori, that omori has a lot of cutesy text animations where it moves at certain words to give of better vibes, tone and emotions to what the npc's are saying.
Then one of the games i haven't played BUT i have seen almost every ending is the class of 09, the game that inspired me to make a game, then learn how to code, and decide to work on a completely different game lol
class of 09 is way different then omori and toby fox games. it has a very clear vibe to it, the paper and all is great, but it wouldn't work for me. something i LOVE is something that isn't rly a part of the text box, but the thing behind it. the fact that you can see 2 full body drawings of the characters (the player and the npc for example, just 2 characters in this specific one tho) and basic actions, and movements gives them SOO. MUCH PERSONALITY. i love pixel art, but its hard to animate emotions into them, and especially in my artstyle. so i always thought i'd learn to make more detailed images of my characters with a bunch of different poses and smash them together like pngtuber. that way you can see the person you are talking to and it would give them so much more personality and i would be able to draw all the little things i want to add to the sprites, but can't because its to small.
i also have Stardew in mind (A GAME I ACTUALLY PLAY) as just as omori it has a portrait and a name, then a text part, it has a wood theming just like all the ui in the game, and that fits stardew Perfectly! butt i don't know what that would be for my game.
So to make a conclusion, i need to design a simple, but interesting ui, with a place for a name, text and an at least torso and up image of the person you are talking to! then i either need to choose for a single colour and outline, or i can go the class of 09 and stardew vibe, and pick a texture and a vibe that fits the game, but since every chapter will be somewhere completely different (stardew is always in the valley and class of 09 is in a school most of the time so their textures fit)
so what would be a good texture that fits the vibe of the game, has a simple texture that won't class with completelly different themes of each chapter, has a perfect way to show the npc in the frame, and just... looks good.
the theming around my game is fairly simple, a kid's soul shatters into pieces and they try and find the pieces to find out who they were and how to ended up in the spirit world, meeting different people who all have differen story's on how they ended up in the spirit world, and spiritis themselves.
i have thought about maybe theming it around stars, since it is a MASSIVE part of the lore and aesthetic of the game, in the spirit world, there is no sun or moon, and stars float around that give off heat and light to the world. so i could do a galaxy textured textbox? but i feel thats to themed.\
anyway what do y'all think!! this is a rlyyyy long post that i've been thinking about making for ages now! pls tell me what you think i should do!!

Hey I absolutely love your style!
I looked into your comms a bit and wondered if you'd consider doing pngtubers of giftubers? And it that's something you could do, how much would they cost?
hi! Thanks so much for reaching out. Yes I am definitely able to do at least the pngtubers, and since I have no experience with giftubers I am unable to say how well I can assist with that.
Cost would start off with the level of detail and number of images you'd be looking for. I have offered some "bulk discounts" to previous clients who were consistently working with me to create a bunch of merch designs, promo art, OC digital stickers/icons, so if you're on a really tight budget I might be able to work something out with you depending on your budget and what you're looking for.
This is old work for a client:
If you are seeking to monetize the commissioned work I will add a fee instead of asking for royalties.
I currently offer digital sketch busts at $50 each for personal use. Which is what I usually do for requests. Simple colouring flat or just quick cel shading, nothing elaborate. $75 each for a full body. If you wish for more detailed character and colouring than this, it starts at $100.
chibi is $30 each. Please understand level of detail cannot be high on chibi
since you'd be asking for a series of images we can talk about the number and bulk discount available for it.

really big fan of daisy! im in the middle of designing a lynx character rn and im v much having daisy as a point of inspo. what are some big inspiration/thoughts for her design?
whoa!!! thanks for asking :] so identity stuff but basically in high school I created 2 dog fursonas and for the longest time I kinda just. super aligned with dogboy online, but while exploring gender stuff I've also been trying to push back against parts of myself that I've just kinda accepted and run with since high school! so enter catgirl fursona ideation
I've been really into greens and flowers since like 2021 or so, for a while I was just taking a lot of pics of nature cuz it fit and it made me fall in love with weird greens. a lot of this manifested in grove, but I still wanted to keep the green and floral theming for daisy cuz they're nice, but I was thinking about something a bit less sparklefurry for her. I've also always been into the idea of piercings so the industrial piercing was like, an ideal thing I requested
now that I'm thinking about it, the idea really formed when I thought about the name Peat Moss for an idea of like a cat PNGtuber sona, and I kinda repurposed the idea. but to go with the theme I was imagining like, a grey coloration overall but with mossy green accents
the last inspiration piece of the puzzle was choosing a lynx specifically. I was kinda super into the catgirl vibes of Kuri from @coochiekrab, and I was also really enjoying some of the lynx designs crisstail had done, so I thought a lynx would be cute as a specific kinda cat. I think after having 2 general dog fursonas for so long, I wanted something a bit more specific instead of just like a housecat vibe, ya know?
I really was happy with the end design of commissioning grove as a character design, so I decided to take all these details to @immogoat who did the actual designing, and I sent over a few color palette ideas, kinda still internally focused on the idea of something muted/common but with a colorful accent. and overall, I really liked the options he gave me!! I think I was a bit torn between 3, 4, 5, and 8, but in the end I went with 8 (with some tweaks). I'll also say, the gauge piercing was totally the artist's idea and now it's one of my fav features of daisy!! overall, top tier design experience ^w^
and here you can see the color palettes I sent, with the top one being kinda unique and the bottom two being more faithful to the original Peat Moss character idea
