EDIT: Ok it was nonsensical and full of holes like swiss cheese but now that i've calmed down this was always a goofy silly dumb game that cares less about taking itself seriously as it does being cool and fun, so while im disappointed and im allowed to be disappointed, im not running away with my expectations on this like others have. Tekken is still fun and will always have a place in my heart. And I do appreciate receiving some things I've always wanted regardless of my upsets with their execution flaws. They were finally able to make me feel like my favorite characters have closure on some level regardless, and that has to be commended.

my personal canon for post-starcourt stobin is that they're actually inseparable for the first month or so

im talking steve taken to the hospital for his injuries and the staff having to force them apart and call security. im talking they have to drag robin kicking and screaming to a different room because last time Steve left her sight he was dragged back lifeless and presumably dead (i firmly believe they intentionally used physical torture for steve and to use his condition for psychological torture for robin)

and steve waking up half-present in a cold plain room alone? might as well be back in the bunker. and if theres doctors trying to run tests and examine his wounds? might as well be Russian soldiers standing over him and touching his injuries. hurting him again. possibly planning to hurt Robin next.

and now hospital staff are trying to deal with two screaming desperate teenagers who keep begging for the other in between rambles of nonsense and they can't run tests or do their jobs or even get answers from them because all these two seem to care about is the other teen

so they don't really have any practical choices other than moving them to a combined room. and they still freak out every now and then but having the other in the room keeps these outbursts much shorter and doctors are able to actually run tests and help these kids as long as they're close together. And when Robins blood tests and everything come back ok and shes able to be discharged, shes given special permission to stay in the room at all times

and the two little kids that came in with them? they're not exactly freaking out quite like the teens but they're certainly not making things easy either. Ericas testing the willpower of any doctor or nurse she can speak to and both kids stay as close as they can at all times and refuse to leave the hospital. visiting hours over? they're in the waiting room, even convinced a couple to move so they can have seats closest to the hall that teens room is in. try to call their parents? good luck getting a full name or number out of them. once their parents do come get them they're showing back up in an hour, bikes lodged in the bike rack and back in their seats. they've been stopped for sneaking in several times and caught hiding under one of the teens beds even more often. eventually staff just gets tired of spending half their shift wrangling two middle schoolers and it becomes an unspoken agreement to just ignore them hiding in the room.

And once Steve is discharged its the same thing all over again. Robins parents were worried about her spending all her time in the hospital with the boy from her summer job, but given the cover story about the fire and the pair getting trapped inside they convinced themselves its reasonable to want to stay by your friends side while they recover

but now that hes out, shes asking if she can spend the night at his house? and his parents won't be there? absolutely not. except robins in no mindset to accept leaving him alone for this long let alone overnight so she tried sneaking out to bike over to his before he can get the dumb idea to drive over in the middle of the night post-concussion. but the buckleys notice shes gone either because she makes too much noise sneaking out or they notice the severe lack of Robin-trying-to-be-quiet noises into the night (robin my tism queen definitely has bump-into-shit syndrome in the middle of the night but she also doesn't make any noise sneaking around the base with scoops troop so i think it's a 50/50 weather she can use the adrenaline to sneak out to see steve quietly)

so they put two and two together and drive over to the Harrington house. steve answers the door and calls robin over, both of them looking sheepish but not exactly guilty. they talk on steves couch (yes Steves there too) and stobin does their best to explain their separation anxiety that gets the severity across without getting them sent to a mental hospital all while making sure not to break any ndas (which ends up being a long conversation with stobin trying to translate their experience in the bunker to fit the cover story well enough, which is very different when the real story is kidnapping and the fake one is a building fire)

eventually they reach an understanding of "we're worried this is kinda unhealthy but its clearly more stressful to try and separate you right now and we're definitely not going to be able to stop you" so they compromise to let steve stay at the buckleys for a little bit so they can at least keep an eye on them. at first they try just letting steve sleep on the couch (which they agree to because steve worried about overstepping as the guest in their house) but one or both of them have nightmares the first night and robin ends up on the couch with him anyway.

after a few nights they get the gist of the stobin dynamic: attached so strongly its concerning but nothing... flirty. anything they do is always completely innocent. hand holding with no heart eyes, banter with no tension, hell even sharing a bed they resemble little kids in a sleepover pile more than lovers. and especially after nightmares they'll find robin holding steve like hes just one of her old teddy bears.

of course theyre still cautious and have their suspicions that theyre secretly dating and just really good at hiding it, they're paranoid parents after all and robins never shown this much attention to a boy ever. but they do relax a bit with it as they're more confident theres no... funny business.. going on. or at the very least nothing thats going to leave robin hurt. they'll have their talks and robin will promise its "nothing like that", but they've grown to like steve so they're sure robin will come to them when shes ready.

now if only there was a reasonable explanation for the middle schoolers that keep showing up. apparently they were also trapped in the fire with robin and steve which helps make some sense of it, but they also sat with them in the hospital. surely if they're having nightmares about the fire they'd go to their parents? they hadn't really talked much with the sinclairs but they seemed like very loving parents and robin follows steve to his little dinners with mrs Henderson pretty often so its not likely that they can't go to their parents about nightmares, but they seem to prefer going to steve specifically. like ringing the Buckley's doorbell at 1 in the morning asking if steves there. and of course they'll let them in and show them to robins room (after calling their parents first, do they even know their childs run off?) where steve was sleeping in a pallet on the floor but is now a glorified blanket pile robins hugging. on her bed, of course. because god forbid theres 2 feet of space between them.

and the kid just joins them in their sleepover pile, dustin usually clinging to steves other side like a baby koala and erica usually finding a spot leaning against robin or occasionally making room in between them

and so more often than not the Buckley's have not one, not two, but three extra children in their house that isn't their daughter, all of them sleeping in a pile on robins bed like theres nowhere else they'd rather be

Anyway, I just saw a post about Lucy being dismayed after Yukino unlocks star dress so fast-

AND THE AUDACITY?!?

My thoughts have always been pretty neutral towards Yukino, if at times sympathetic because of her Games treatment. I like her, she’s cool, she’s a solid character.

But I’ve always felt like her character exists to just (in part) constantly One-Up Lucy?

For instance, everyone’s so proud of Lucy, she trained and in a short amount of time, managed to grow enough to unlock three golden gates and fight by their side. We’re real proud! We love her! BUT THEN? Yukino arrives and she’s got the MYSTERIOUS LEGEND KEY that I quite honestly believe has no reason to exist. (I’m trying to remember what was said about Her but it didn’t seem that important) (I’m probably gonna Google this after to find out)

There’s a few more little bits, but my main reason for this post is the StarDress nonsense.

Like ALL we hear from everyone, friend and foe alike, is how amazed and proud they are of Lucy for getting this strong, for unlocking her Star Dresses over all this time and training hard. They’re all acknowledging her improvement and it’s great to see! And then Yukino just…gets…hers? Just? Poof, done, there, let’s go.

I get that it could be for comedic affect or maybe to speed up the plot but would it have been so bad to give Yukino a bit of dialogue where it says she’s trained for this? I mean Yukino’s been an active Mage for longer, and while probably not having the same chaotic character building experiences as Lucy, she still must have been training for years? So wouldn’t it make more sense for her to unlock her StarDress because she also trained for it? No just because she suddenly decided to give it a go?.

Like it really got to me? How it was as if everything Lucy did hadn’t mattered? She’d trained for a year and now it’s as if that wasn’t significant? She’d gone through all that, and now what? Can any old Celestial Mage get a golden key and just unlock this power?.

And Yeah this seems a bit Anti-Yukino, but I’m not happy for her either. She went through a lot, with her sister, her guild, ect. And it’s like they reduce her character’s potential when Lucy’s involved. Like there can’t be two Powerful Celestial mages that trained hard to get here, they have to build one up and knock the other down in some way?.

I mean, they managed it with Sorano? Despite her less than stellar (ha) treatment of her spirits, she was skilled, and smart. She even knew information about them to use against whoever Lucy summoned, more than Lucy herself even knew about the spirit that had been with her since she was born?.

Makes me rage. I mean I’ve been a Lucy fan from day one because that’s my girl, so I did make this with her in mind, but I’m not oblivious to Yukino’s achievements and development (like when she MMA’D THAT DUDE!?) even if I find a lot of it…very Mirror Lucy-ish?. If that makes sense.

Anyway, I went on a rant, and I didn’t even mean to make it this long. I swear I’m not that heated about this, I just get swept away with my thoughts. I’m gonna go pretend I’m mentally healthy. Byeeeee~

But that would bring the question of then why is Closeknit not making any other moves? Well besides the one rn where they wanted a 2nd inversion to get people to join them. But what are they planning? Do they still have sunshine and nothing has come from that?

We should also be worried since Brachium has made a deal with a drove…just to follow one single order. What that order is, we don’t know. Could it have been the creation of Hush? His job is to free the sovereigns.

I know I’m here for goofy times but this is also something to think about…

takes a deep breath. ik it hasn't even been a day but we need to talk about the umbrella academy season 4. obviously spoilers ahead. and a long, long fucking post full of complaints.

this season got me shinji chairing so hard. what the fuck. six episodes that last barely an hour each and all for THAT ending? don't get me wrong, the ending itself is... not the worst possible outcome, ig, but like. plot holes so big i can fit five's ego in there and still have spare space.

yeah, let's start from there. what the fuck was that? a half-assed five/lila romance was the last thing we needed. call me a hater, tell me i don't know how to appreciate complex stories, idc. that sucked ass. not only is it creepy in so many ways, but it also brought absolutely NOTHING to the story. "oh but if that didn't happen then five wouldn't have accidentally wandered into the station's coffee shop and met himself" I DON'T GIVE A SHIT!!!! IT COULD'VE HAPPENED IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS!!!!!! AND FIVE KNOWS BETTER THAN TO THROW HANDS WITH HIS BROTHER OVER A GIRL WHILE THE REST OF THEIR SIBLINGS ARE FIGHTING THE DAMN BLOB OF DEATH!!!

moving on ig. i don't like how allison's past actions seemed to be simply forgotten. i know they acknowledge it a couple times and that it's been six years, but lord almighty she assaulted luther, got him killed, and betrayed her entire family for a father that never cared about any of them. i don't think i could forgive that so easily (i'm looking at you klaus).

about the plot holes. first off, i would've appreciated even just a slight explanation of what the fuck reginald and abigail are? are they aliens? are they robots? are they alien robots? also, side note, what the fuck did reginald even do to grace atp? did he create a robot in the image of a human lady or did he turn the human lady into a robot???? and back to abigail for a moment: ?????????? and also the obsidian hotel????? AMERICA EXPLAIN. EXPLAIN

more plot holes: the solution to the cleanse problem. five said that the only way to fix the timelines is to let the cleanse happen, aka absorb them, so that the marigold inside them is destroyed since that's what split the timelines, no? and they made a big deal out of lila leaving because they needed all of the marigold holders to partake in this. except that YOU EIGHT IDIOTS ARE NOT ALL THE OCTOBER 1ST KIDS IN THE WORLD. THERE'S MORE, THAT WAS LIKE 43 WOMEN WHO GAVE BIRTH YOU DUMB FUCKING CUNTS. WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER 35 KIDS. uhm. sorry about that. moving on.

did not like how jennifer's character was treated at all. no time to develop, no time to get us to know her. straight to the blob of death without even explaining what was going on. how did the durango end up in her body? who even created that anyways? how did she end up in a damn fucking giant squid? why was she talking about the cleanse? what the fuck? listen im sure the comics explain this and ik this show is supposed to be a bit... confusing and nonsensical, but this is info you can't just leave out. feels like lazy writing.

and how the fuck did the cleanse cult even know that this nonesense that a kid coming out of a squid was blabbering about was connected to them having dreams of other timelines? how the fuck did jean and gene know? what?

yk what, im also gonna throw in some more personal points of view in here. i did not understand a single thing about the timeline/universe/whatever they ended up in at the end of s3. is it a new universe? if so, why is everything the same and WHY is the timeline still fucked? and where's the academy in this timeline? does it not exist? why? why and how is abigail still alive? was she even dead in s1, on the moon? or was that a cryo capsule? if so, why keep her there?

and there's more folks! why did the timeline train not stop at lila and five's stop? that was random and never explained, and feels like lazy writing, again. or like an excuse to get a specific two people to mingle just to create an unnecessary and unwanted love triangle? perchance?

lastly, how can claire and lila and diego's children still exist if their parents were erased from existence? and since they still exist but their parents never did, how does it work? do lila's parents just look after these random kids? without reason? wouldn't not having existing parents at all create legal problems?

overall, i have a lot of issues with this season. it feels extremely rushed, and honestly quite boring in comparison to the other three. and the lack of explanations makes it so hard to enjoy because i'm busy being confused. im not so mad about the ending, i kinda saw it coming (my choice was between they all die or they get stuck in a loop), and I don't think it's necessarily a bad ending for a story like this one. i am a bit sad, yes, and i will miss these characters and regret the fact that they didn't get the lives they deserved, but i think it's an ok ending. not the best, but ok. but the rest of the season? ass. yet another show absolutely ruined by netflix's inability to see past money and actually produce a good ending instead of rushing things. peace ✌️

Bc like, the only way I personally can think to make that plot work at all, au or cannon, is by using that 'Lila has been a Senti the whole time who was made a long time ago with the purpose of stirring up shit and antagonizing Miraculous users and that how she's pulling everything off' idea that someone brought up a while ago.

Is the Derision prank being ignored or rewritten? I know you hate it and the episode, and Chloe being Heather Chandler levels of cruel and feared pre-Origins is not gonna be a thing in this, but the prank itself doesn't seem much worse than some of the stuff Chloe did in S1, at least to me, so im curious what you're gonna do with that

Lila may be put on a slight backburner for now. I will scrap the three moms plot, because that's just??? How the fuck does she pull that off?? As far as Canon, she was still a teen who was going down a dark path and in this AU she unfortunately didn't get help and has continued said dark path. How much she's done in the meantime is up in the air, but having her still as a con artist is probably on the table. That said, I need to hammer out her motivations and what she plans to do should she get the Miraculous because like. As petty as she is I'm not going to say she's still miffed about Marinette calling her on her shit.

Derision is.... kinda both? I have a rewrite for this anyway but short version: yes Chloé was a bully and pulled pranks. This was another prank. Gabriel is.... a bit up in the air. I am going with his Season 4-5 self so I'm not redeeming him. I can't /quite/ figure out a way he'd win that would have Mari and Adrien resort to using the Wish to stop him without having him use the Wish first and they reverse it. So either they reverse his Wish, or Gabriel's Wish in the first place included blocking all of the other Miraculous Users from being able to use the Miraculous so they can't undo his Wish. I'll debate on what to do with this one, and we also debate on Emilie and Nathalie's fates. If they reverse the Wish then Gabriel's probably alive but in jail and the Team would spend time finding how to fix Emilie and Nathalie(probably gonna be nice and fix them). If it's just Gabe gets the Wish and blocks them from fixing it, then he's dead but Nathalie and Emilie are fixed. Sill have to debate on /how/ he manages to get the Wish because I don't want Marinette to be a fucking moron but ya know.

I am working with the Sentikids plot! But I'm adjusting a few things!!

1.) Adrien, Felix and Kagami are Special and the other Sentis aren't Sapient Beings, so there's no moral issue over how many Mari killed or Felix making tool ones like Red Moon and OUAT. With this also comes the option to free them from their Amok's control.

2.) I'm having Tomoe be a lot better. She loves Kagami, though she did have her business deals with Gabriel. She's not as much a part of the supervillain thing past 'Gabriel has the Peacock and he can snap my daughter out of existence so I will do what he asks'. She's far from perfect, but her hands are tied for a while. And even when Felix gets the Peacock, not only is she unsure of if Felix is a threat to Kagami or not, but she's also in too deep and if Gabriel goes down so does she

3.) I'm bringing Felix's whole thing down a LOT of notches. He doesn't hate all of Humanity, he just hates the few in specific who treat him and the others like tools. So in Emotion, he only kills Gabriel and Tomoe, knowing Gabriel is like Colt and assuming Tomoe is as well when he finds out Kagami is a Senti. He does realize he's wrong later when he's eavesdropping and trying to find ways to get Kagami out of her situation and sees that her mother loves her. Their romance is also more slowburn instead of immediately hooking up.

Also an overall change: Adrien knows about what's going on and we have a proper reveal goddamn it!!

weird barely thought out rambling about my process here sorry if it sounds like a lot

so i guess i should say there was totally an idea of a plan in place for like. okay they’ll all get one on one time then i can get em all talking and explaining plot something and get stuff rolling.

but then it was like jennika reached through the screen and grabbed me and said NO. help mikey right now this isnt just flavour text you have to commit. and i said yep no you’re so right actually thats way more important.

and then i guess that happened it made me kinda look back over everything and everyone and decide WELL. maybe this is what the story really is, just a lot of overly emotional vulnerable conversations where everybody feels fucked up but they just kinda talk it through with each other, as good or bad as they are at it. maybe thats more important.

i guess the things i wrote just trying to flesh out the rest of it ended up being the story kinda thing. the aftermath of all these other things turned out to be more interesting than trying to get into some "real" plot.

like to be fucking real thats whats been so interesting to me. the 'worst case scenario' ended ages ago, intended to just be that part as a 'get it out of your system' personal thing of writing the most fucked up thing i could. but then it kept going with the effects of it still hang over the characters.

shredders dead yet somehow its like hes still the main antagonist because all the conflict stems from him. defeating him didnt end the story.

i guess i could say over and over that if i had thought it all through it would come off better. dont know if i would have implemented things like raph's comatose state or random forced pheromone bullshit, nor the speed up on the pregnancy period. feel like i would have put april and casey into the story better without dropping them the way i have. i could have written better set up, better payoff. but its not about being planned, its all a weird game of improv im playing with myself that has the unintended consequences of being too fascinating to stop. too fascinating to keep to myself.

and thats been what it is, the gross messy dramatic sappy corny healing process. its absolutely gonna be over 200k words by the end, which is. you know. NUTS. ive not posted my writing before all this nonsense so hhhhrgh you know.

Looking For A Melon Writer for a Canon x OC EXTREMELY Dark Dead Dove Beastars Plot

Hello there! As I sit here languishing in Beastars Hell once more, waiting (im)patiently for the second half of the Final Season, I find myself craving a very DIFFERENT kind of plot pairing. The dynamic I'm looking for is something akin to Jared Leto's Joker and Harley Quinn but with themes of cannibalism, implied suicidal scenarios, extreme violence, sexual violence, emotional abuse, blood play, and many other overall icky themes one might associate with toxic love between two EXTREMELY fucked up individuals. Seriously, this is NOT a plot for the faint of heart, shit's gonna get REAL over here. I know the overall universe of Beastars (especially the anime version) manages to skirt over the darkest parts of their lore and keep things relatively light, but we're diving head-first into aaaaall that inky black on this one, guys. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!!

social media is pushing their luck lately on all fronts. even when you understand their mindset these changes are risky - mainly operating under "social media is like a slot machine" kind of mindset, since thats effectively the same thing.

my point is: the best thing they can do is make it as easy as possible to use the website and develop addictions, any friction hurts this and this is why selling data is their strongest practice, *its invisible to the user*. ads, like promoted posts and such, are less intrusive. theyre just another post. ads, like how youtube does it, are very intrusive and frictional. ads still need to exist for data collection to be worth anything to the corporations, but from a social media companies perspective data collection weighs more on the scale.

but recently, theres been a few interesting developments. its not like ive been to shareholder meetings and can predict exactly what the baby eating ceos are thinking, but - i think they believe the addiction the average person has is so powerful over them that they can get away with putting more friction (or theyre just fucking stupid). the examples im talking about right now are twitters "$1 subscription" and youtube waging war on adblockers. twitters seems like just a fucking stupid descision but youtubes seems more calculated, but its still some big friction.

seriously the twitter thing is unbelieveably stupid friction if youve ever been like... on the internet without access to a credit card you know the difference between free and not free VERY well. the subscription idea will probably get dropped but if it somehow does go through like. every kid will not use it for certian, anyone who... yknow... evaluates the worth of the thing theyre buying even SLIGHTLY will quit, like... the only people that will remain are the blue checks who are not beating the nonsentient allegations. anyway.

i dont know how "normal people" use social media. i surround myself with people who are quite aware about the mass gangstalking of users and are generally above average in tech-proficiency. i dont know the social media habits of jimmy age 25. maybe jimmy will just deal with the friction, but the people i know are fairly averse to the friction and are just... using the sites less because of it. there doesnt really seem to be a stopping point in adding this friction until the site owners get burned somehow (unless youre twitter lol theyre gonna keep doing shit until the servers cant afford to be paid they have NO brakes). i guess we just have to see how much it takes for the lowest common denominator to get too annoyed with social media before sites stop their nonsense
