I'm sure that it is a well-known thing, but I want to talk a little about it anyway!
Trial 1 voice trailers -> future (after murder)
Haruka: "Then what should I have done instead?! Tell me! Tell me so even I can understand!"
Yuno: "Hah... I can't be bothered."
Fuuta: "Everyone else was having fun, weren't they? What about them? Was it just me?"
Muu: "Fufufu... It's your fault... for doing horrible things to me."
Shidou: "(laugh) Not dead... Yeah, she's definitely not dead... I finally understand the value of what I've been robbing people of..."
Mahiru: "Is this... love? This is love...!"
Kazui: "I'm so dumb... Why did I have to dream?"
Amane: "Ahh! I'm so sorry...! I'm sorry...! I'm sorry for breaking the rules!"
Mikoto: "My life... It wasn't supposed to be this way..."
Kotoko: "...Fufu... This feels so good."
Trial 2 voice trailers -> past (before muder)
Haruka: "I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!!! Making you waste your life on someone like me...!! "
Yuno: "Nice to meet you, my name is Kashiwagi Yuuko! Well then, where shall we go?"
Fuuta: "Hahaha you think just because you’re a brat I’ll forgive you? You’ll pay for this"
Muu: "Hey..why don't you listen to me...? I'm telling you... Hey...HEY, I'M TALKING TO YOU"
Shidou: "You're in my way...hurry up and die"
Mahiru: "Ehehe...I love, love, LOVE YOU!! Don't ever let me go, ok!"
Kazui: "Hinako, I love you more than anything."
Amane: "Father is a very praiseworthy person. Once his virtue increases, he'll come back home, right? It's a little lonely, but I'm fine!"
Mikoto: "AAAHHHHHHHHHH!! DESTROY EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING!!"
Kotoko: "From the begin I've never asked for your understanding! My actions, one by one, are bringing earth closer to peace. Useless Weaklings should just shut up and let me protect them!"
Meaning that it is very possible to be like this:
Trial 3 voice trailers -> present (during murder)

Dad!Bakugo x F!Babysitter!Teacher!Reader
01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 15 16
It’s been days since Y/n started babysitting Kazui. After the administration suspended the class due to the villain attack, Y/n had to email every parent about what would happen and how can the children still catch up with their lessons, as well as mail them the day-to-day school activities. But for Kazui, instead of mailing Katsuki the manuscripts, she has Kazui’s daily school activity printed out and hands it to him personally.
No, she won't teach him at all. It may be part of her babysitting job but being his school instructor, she treats her pupils equally. That implies no special treatment for Kazui.
Although almost every day she can hear Katsuki lecturing Kazui whenever he sees him writing down the wrong answer. Sometimes she’ll catch him smacking his head which will earn him a lecture from her.
She remembered when she first did it in front of Eijiro. The guy was taken aback of course, but surprisingly, Katsuki behaved which made Eijiro taken back more.
“Did you just...- What?” The poor guy was confused.
Today, Katsuki’s on his daily pratol and you were working in the Dining area where you can keep an eye on Kazui who completed his homework and was just watching tv now.
All of a sudden you received an email from the school principal. Clicking it open, Y/n read the content. It was apparently an email about the new employee since some of the kindergarten teachers resigned after the incident. The principal is basically relying on her since she’s one of those who stayed.
“Another work, then.” Y/n mumbled but started responding to the email anyway. It’s not like she has a choice not to. But deep down, she wanted to leave her job as well, not because she was hired as a babysitter, it’s because of the workload which has been keeping her up till midnight.
And yes, Katsuki noticed this. He has very observant eyes, we all know that. He can see her strained smile whenever Kazui comes up to her to show anything he drew.
“Ah. I guess that’s it for now.” Y/n yawned as she stretched her limbs. Once done stretching, she checked the time to see it was almost dinner. Which means, he’ll be here anytime now.
“Time to make dinner, Kazui-chan.”
Kazui beamed once he heard Y/n. He always wanted to be a great good like his dad, so Y/n agreed that Kazui can help her or watch beside her.
“What will we be cooking today, Miss Y/n?” Kazui asked while rocking on his heels. A mannerism Y/n found out whenever he’s excited.
“Well, I always wanted to try something new. I just need to see if we have all the ingredients.” Y/n smiled as soon as she finished packing her things before proceeding to the kitchen.
Once she checked the fridge, “Huh. It seems like we’re missing one ingredient.” Y/n pouted. “I guess another dish, then.”
“Tadaima.”
Very uneventful, is what in his mind. Katsuki groaned as he stepped in and set his boots aside.
“Papa!”
Well, at least he got home unharmed.
“Hey, brat.” Katsuki grinned and picked up Kazui who dashed towards him.
“How was your day, papa? Miss Y/n is cooking dinner!” Kazui beamed while being carried by his father.
“What the hell? Again? I swear to God.” Katsuki tsked after knowing this. Careful, he put Kazui down and marched toward the kitchen where he saw you cooking.
“What did I tell you, hah?” He was pissed, alright.
By accident, you dropped the spatula you were using startled by his voice. You didn’t expect him to come home this early, way too early actually.
“W-what are you doing here?” You said while trying to use your body to cover the dish you were cooking from his view.
“What the hell do you mean? This is my house.” Katsuki pointed out, arms crossed over his chest with Kazui beside him, holding him by his pants. “Didn’t I tell you to not cook? That ain’t part of your job.” He groaned.
“If I didn’t cook us our meal, we won’t be able to eat supper and you’ll come home with an empty stomach.” You pouted while slowly picking up the spatula.
“I said you can order out. Didn’t I leave you enough money for that?”
“Well, I’m sorry but inside of ordering unhealthy food, I used the money to buy something healthy since Kazui is still a growing boy.” You said after successfully picking the spatula. “Besides, you should know this. You’re a hero. You need to maintain a proper diet and have a healthy meal.” You said before turning your back at him to focus on finishing your cooking.
Katsuki’s lips twitched at your response.
“Hey brat.”
Kazui looked up at him curiously. “Yes papa?”
“Take my bag to my room. Bring me a clean pair of comfortable clothes. I just need to talk to Miss Y/n.” Katsuki handed Kazui his bag without looking at him which he took, obviously struggling.
“E-eh?” Your attention was now focused on the struggling Kazui who was hauling his father’s obviously heavy bag.
“It’s alright. This is how I train him.” Katsuki said to you, but eyes still engaged on you.
“O-okay.” You responded still concerned.
“I can’t pay you more if you keep doing this.” Katsuki said out of nowhere when he heard Kazui reach the stairs. He doesn’t want his child to overhear this.
“I don’t care.” You responded to him as turned your attention back to the sizzling food in front of you.
“What do you-
“Look.” You started before slightly reducing the heat to prevent the food from burning and set your attention completely on him. “At this point, I don’t care about the extra stuff I don’t have to do. You are a hero and Kazui’s a kid. Both of you need something nutritious since, like I said, Kazui’s a growing kid, and you, for your diet.” You instructed. “You are a parent, and you should know this.”
Katsuki was outraged at your last statement.
“What the hell do you know about being a parent, huh.” He spat, taking Y/n aback. “You are not a mother, so stop nagging me.”
But you’re not backing down.
“I may not be a parent, but I know things about being a good one.” You responded calmly.
“What? You’re saying I’m not a good parent? Hah?” Katsuki dropped his crossed arms and took a step closer to Y/n who didn’t even flinch. “You know nothing, woman.”
Y/n even challenged him by stepping closer to him, almost nose to nose. “I know everything, Katsuki. I also know that you needed help.”
“I don’t.”
“You do. You’re just too prideful to accept one.” You said quietly, almost a whisper.
The space between both of you was enough for Katsuki to study your features. Your (e/c) eyes, your lashes, your nose, and your glossy lips that he’s tempted to touch with his own.
Screw it.
Following his thoughts, Katsuki wrapped his arm around you, taking you by surprise and pulled by your waist as he placed a finger under your chin, tilting your head upwards and as gently as possible, placed his lips onto yours.
He was right about your lips being soft and tender.
You on the other hand were still in shock. You didn’t expect this to happen. Never in your life did you expect Dynamight to kiss you.
When you felt him pull away, you were speechless. Your eyes were looking straight on his, as his to yours. As if everything around you was blurry.
Katsuki was the same as you are though. He was shocked by what he did. Hell, he didn’t even know why he did it. All he knew was your lips looked so glossy.
“Fuck.” He muttered.
“Papa. I hope this is okay.”
Kazui’s voice jolted both of you making you push him away, and him releasing you.
“I- That’s fine.” Katsuki said out loud as he glanced behind him. When he turns to look back at you, you were touching your lips, face flushed while your eyes stare into nothing. “I-“ he was trying, okay? He doesn’t know where to start.
“I-I’ll go back to cooking.” You stuttered and turned back to the stove.
“Y-yeah.” Katsuki agreed as he scratched the back of his head, slightly blushing. “I guess.”
It was finally time for Y/n to go back to her apartment and She was a glad about this.
After what happened earlier, the dinner was awkward. Both adults didn’t even glance at each other. Thankfully, Kazui was telling them stuff making the tension in the air light.
When Y/n finally got her things, a knock on the door caught her attention. “Who is it?” She called out. But before she could reach the door, it swung open, revealing Eijiro and Denki.
“Oh. Hey Miss Y/n!”
“Yo!”
“Oh? Good evening.” You bowed and let them in the house.
“Were you about to leave?” Denki asked while eyeing your things lying on the ground.
“Oh. Yes. I was about to.” You smiled at them as you closed the door behind.
“What’re you two idiots doing here, hah.” Katsuki’s emerged from the kitchen while wiping his hands dry. He did the dishes, okay? “And keep it down, Kazui’s asleep.”
“We’re just stopping by. Kaminari here wanted to visit Kazui and have a little drink with you, so I joined him.” Eijiro grinned at Katsuki and sat on the couch.
“Don’t you think it’s a bit late to drink? We have an early patrol tomorrow, morons.” Katsuki said while hanging the wet towel on its rack and joining them in the living room.
“Come on, man. We drove all the here to see you.” Denki pouted. “I wanted to see the kid as well.”
“Tsk. Fine.” Katsuki agreed. “After I drop Y/n to her place, and don’t wake Kazui, got it.”
“I’m sorry?” You were obviously not listening.
“I said, I’ll drop you to your place.” Katsuki repeated as he grabbed his jacket from the bracket near the entrance and wore it. “As if I’d let you leave this house at this hour, idiot.”
“I can just ride a bus.” You said as you watched Katsuki pick your things and left. “Bakugo.” You called, only to get ignored.
“You can’t change his mind, Miss Y/n.” Eijiro chuckled as he watched you try. “He’s one stubborn man.”
“Its not bad to try, right?” You slightly pouted.
“And you’ll only go unnoticed.” Denki smiled at you.
“Sigh. Alright. H-have a great evening to you both.” Once again, you bowed and left the house. “Bakugo!”
Eijiro and Denki were smiling like idiots as they watched your figure disappear from their sight.
“What do you think about her?” Eijiro suddenly asked as he stood up and grab himself a drink.
“Miss Y/N?” Denki asked not making an effort to look at Eijiro. “She seems really nice to me, way too soft for Kacchan.”
“You think?”
“Yeah, bro. She seems like a gentle woman to me. Completely opposite to, you know.” Denki said, this time looking at Eijiro.
“I think they look good together.” Eijiro said as he handed Denki his drink.
“Bakugo-san-
“What did I say about formalities?” Katsuki tsked as he placed your things inside the car.
“You don’t have to-
“Sigh.” He was obviously tired of your attempts.
You watched him groan and put both his palm over his face.
“God you’re more stubborn than Kazui.” Katsuki groaned.
“I-I’m sorry.” You murmured to yourself as you play with your fingers.
“Do you want me to kiss you again?”
“W-what?!” “Relax, it’s a joke,” Katsuki smirked at you. “Get in the car.”
-
Hello, my lovelies! I am glad to be back. I am once again apologizing for disappearing like that. But here's part 15. I do hope you like this and stay tuned for 16. Thank you for all your patience.

Am I the only one who doesn't think Shidou's gonna snap at Amane? Like ive seen so many people taking his "it's my job as an adult to teach you that throwing a temper tantrum isn’t going to make everything go your way" line as indication that he's going to hurt her in some way and like?? What, is he not allowed to be annoyed that she's literally threatening him? That doesn't mean he's gonna beat her up. He literally follows this by saying "If it’s a test of endurance you want, I’m happy to oblige." Aka "I'll continue as I have been." I don't think he's going to do anything to her. In fact, it'd be more in character if he let her kill him. Which, with the way he's making sure theres someone else to handle Mahiru + the kids if he's not there (Yuno / Kazui), it's totally possible he's preparing to die or be gravely injured by her.
I've seen a few people dismiss Amane's threats towards him because "if he can't defend himself against a child, thats on him" and I- Firstly, the victim blaming mentality on that one is baffling. Secondly, has Milgram taught you nothing about underestimating children?? And finally, Shidou still sees Amane as a kid, he's not gonna fight back. Do you know how hard a fight is when you're trying not to hurt the other person, who has a weapon and also will not hold back like you are? I'd imagine it's pretty difficult.
The Shidou hate has gotten so unreal its almost funny. Like the people saying he doesn't actually care about / value the opinions of children. As though he doesn't go out of his way to ask Muu how Haruka (a child) is doing because he's worried about him. As though he doesn't have two timeline conversations about how he believes children are hope for the future. As though he doesn't admit to being upset that Amane doesn't like him, and then proceed to get sentimental on her birthday. Not to mention that he says he specifically wants a child like Es to tell him he's guilty, instead of the law.
And people saying he doesn't care about Mahiru / is being forced to help her. Meanwhile he's literally risking his life to do so, and has no reason to listen to anyone telling him to if he didn't genuinely want to. Someone said something about his smoke break with Kazui showing that he didn't value Mahiru's health because he was... taking a break?? And that if she was in such dire health that he couldn't handle much else in the prison, he shouldn't be taking that break. Even though we've seen that Mahiru doesn't need to be monitored 24/7, and has Yuno to help even if she did. Because news flash, people need to take breaks in order to function? That's the point of the timeline, Kazui telling him to rest and not overwork himself.
I just. take psychic damage every time someone grabs a random Shidou line/action and twists it to make him seems like a selfish asshole. Like by all means, you can hate Shidou, I don't particularly care for him myself. But at least hate him for reasons that are actually canon to his character.
Its likely something will happen with Shidou in T3 that makes him seem more guilty. Thats just how Milgram is, he seems really innocent now so they'll sprinkle in a lil guilty to keep it balanced. But Milgram also doesn't switch up characters out of the blue, every new reveal is led up to. I'll be genuinely surprised and probably kinda annoyed if he ends up hurting Amane or Mahiru purposefully.

Milgram and The Court of Public Opinion.
this analysis will be about milgram's voting system, nuance and a whole lot of my own opinions mixed with eng fandoms translations, theories, and observations.
t1 = trial one / t2 = trial two
mv = music video
vd = video drama
voting and verdicts:
voting forgiven/unforgiven or innocent/guilty from the standards milgram sets for us (including es) isn't enough or easy.
being that milgram is set towards the court of public opinion and judgement can come from:
"sensibility, morality, ethics, legality, preference, taste, or sexual inclination..."
we end up arguing semantics, trying to find specifics in the crimes and making the best judgement possible. although in doing that the only conclusion anyone can come to is innocent when all is considered.
if we were doing it based on guilty and innocent then 5 are guilty, 2 are guilty on technicality and 3 are innocent
just in case you're curious, in guilty to innocent order as i just stated.
haruka, muu, amane, mikoto, kotoko, shido, fuuta, kazui, mahiru and yuno
it'd be over so quickly. but this... is milgram.
nuance/the grey area:
as the undercover song says, can you really judge them?
001. haruka did it for attention. with how he's coded - intellectual disability - and his mother being extremely neglectful after a certain age which prevented the possibility of his growth in intellect (understanding cause and effect/actions and consequences, along with many other things) it's easier to claim he's innocent. even more easier to forgive him due to this and extremely so if looking at it from his view point, albeit flawed. killing = attention = "affection", even if that attention/"affection" is negative it what he wanted. for someone, anyone to acknowledge him. he's innocent/forgiven because of his circumstances but if he's forgiven then he's being told it was his only option, and he was right, when the fault is on his mother.
002. yuno, as for now, doesn't have a reason. ofc in western (american specifically) public opinion or at least those who view abortion as a choice. she's been innocent from the start. this is her autonomy, her choice, even if she's 18. i won't deny she is so young to be doing sex work, or more specifically compensated dating, and yes it may be common in japan but that doesn't take away the age being factored into what she decided to do. it wasn't for money and she has a good home life. with how analytical and cold she can be, im assuming her desire to be loved in this way comes from somewhere and she's become jaded towards actual relationships. opting for the material and superficial. even without pitying her, she'd still be forgiven/innocent since t1.
003. fuuta was only trying to call out liars and scumbags. he is well versed in the court of public opinion, but he has never seen or experienced a result that lead to someone's death. looking at the undercover mv, then we can see he possibly doxxed his victim. if we take a nuanced approach here then we'd be looking at how he feels after the fact. he remembers the victims name, the fear in his eyes in his t1 and t2 mv, his voice drama after the first trial, him not approving of violence as a solution are all evidence of him feeling horrible. if he could go back, if he would've known. sure he did question why he's there instead of the people who actually killed the victim, but he also recognizes that he lead the charge. his innocence/forgiveness comes in the form of recognizing his actions were wrong. him being guilty/unforgiven is the action in itself.
004. muu is a love/attention reason. she's always been adored, admired, and cherished. she's always had her way. she also has never had to face heavy adversity. sure she was a bully, the queen bee, and a drama queen but didn't her school's culture allow her that? infact with us/es forgiving her, in the second trial song she claims as such, she'll always be queen. and for the t1 mv she says, "my 'im sorry' spells aren't working anymore." which leads me to believe that she's cried and apologized so many times that her old friends couldn't believe her. not forgiving her affirms to her that "two wrongs don't make a right" but forgiving her says the opposite to her. if she's to be forgiven/innocent the blame is tossed to the school, not her, but she won't see it that way.
005. shido is a love case, but for family. im thinking son because of a theory i saw, but either way when looking at it with nuance it gets heavier here. is taking from brain dead patients to save someone wrong? are the brain dead really dead? in my opinion yes, but that's the crux of the situation right? same goes for all the other inmates in this court of public opinion. he can be innocent from the view point that brain dead patients are already dead, and forgiven for his motive.
006. mahiru is another love case, romantic, and in a roundabout way she never committed a crime in the first place. from the voice drama and interrogation q&a slips, we find out that she's a sheltered girl and loves/idolizes soap opera and shoujo mangas. from her mv's we see she romanticizes everything, especially with her t1 mv. she's innocent because of not actually committing murder and forgiven because this is her first love, she wouldn't have known that it was toxic and messed up.
007. kazui did it in hopes of a dream, righting a mistake, being free. although he deeply regrets it, although he says he loves his wife? that love is mainly platonic. from his second trial mv, we see that he met her through his job - most likely police officer - so they had some kind of amicable relationship through their job. he only married her out of societal obligation, and noticing she liked him. not to mention in his t1 mv he says he messed up from the beginning. he is innocent because his crime is indirect, and forgiven because being gay isn't a crime and the regret he feels shows he never had negative intentions.
008. amane did it out of obligation. now, listen to me. i know she's literally 12 and was raised in a cult but notice how im stating the motive of each of these as they are from being stated in vd or pure observations from the mv's. now to any grown up it's self defense, but also imagine having gone through the worst hell imaginable all because you did something "wrong" stated by the adults around you. wouldn't the revenge be sweet? justice in its purest form. now take that and double it down with what you were taught. amane is not only forgiven/innocent because she was just a child, but because of the circumstances surrounding the murder.
009. mikoto (miko from here on) did it out of pent up stress an emotions, in turn creating john (koto from here on). miko is innocent without a doubt, and no i am not taking on the theory he actually did it til we get trial three. if koto was supposed to be his protector, and if he was born from a sudden explosion of pent up anger then (at least to me) it makes sense that he reacted the way he did. imagine being a corporate slave - no actually double it down, again, with growing up always trying to keep the peace. miko has a habit of laughing when he's upset. he laughs it off in hopes that things get better, his vd affirms this and even his mv after that. miko's smile that shifts to an extremely tired expression right before koto is born and a mirror shatters, right at the start. an intolerable stress from working so hard he grew grey hairs, cried himself to sleep, and yet continued to work, hold it in, and endure. the fault isn't on him or on koto. it's japan's work culture and the endure it mentality. koto is innocent/forgiven in the sense of motive. miko is innocent/forgiven because he's never killed to begin with.
010. kotoko did it to save the innocent. though she doesn't deal in nuance, much like fuuta. a key difference between the two is kotoko chooses violence because the justice system failed her. infact she's been hunting down the awful criminals of the world so much that she even has a covered bulletin board with pinned strings on it. on top of that, from the interrogation cards, we find out she dropped out of college and she was studying law. she'd be innocent for what she was seeking to do, in the court of public opinion, many would agree that awful people deserve a murderous punishment and she'd be even forgiven with that same reason. the nuance appears when considering the criminal, the crime and the reason. factoring those in then she can easily become guilty and unforgiven in the eyes of many, see the results after t1.
when it's all said and done:
they all had their reason, it all has a reason. who are we to say their crimes weren't just or fair? we're the judge, the jury, the executioner, and warden. in milgram whatever we says goes.
i'd love to see them all innocent, but at the same time do each of them deserve that? are their ideas being affirmed a detriment to them or their saving grace?? will they kill again?? will some of them be able to get the therapy and treatment they desperately need??? will they go back into society with an improved outlook on life or will they remain the same?
ofc i already have who i'd like to see forgiven and have already forgiven them myself, same as you reading this and those in the jpn fandom (where it originates)
anyway. moving forward please vote with this in mind, and check out the audio dramas i beg you all. i hope that there are nuance voters and voters with sympathy but with how amane was guilty in t1, i have a strong feeling it's not gonna end well. but if it does, you'll see me rejoice.

Concept that just popped into my head: Milgram characters doing "get ready with me" videos
Aw, this was so fun!! I always love your hc style of normal au/everyone's chilling, and tried to go the same route -- it was so cute to think about :D
Haruka: Puts on his outfit for the day and explains everything in great detail. He has lots of comfortable items and fun colors. At the very end he speaks off-camera and you realize Muu was standing there cheering him on the whole time. He gets a lot of encouraging comments, and Muu and Fuuta keep an eye on the account to delete any nasty ones that may come in.
Yuno: Shows her outfit, makeup, nails, and bag she’s taking with her. She tries out a variety of styles (not just sticking to the more feminine looks we see in canon). She gives a bit of a tutorial and tips as well as showing things off. Has a main account for her daytime outfits, and a more private one for her nighttime looks. Mahiru is the only one aware of the latter account.
Fuuta: Layers. Lots of layers. There will be three sweatshirts laid out in front of him and you wonder which he’s going to choose before realizing he’s putting them all on. He focuses most on his sneakers and sportswear. He plays loud music over the videos, not knowing what to say. Has gotten into comment-section arguments over those yellow socks.
Muu: Also does a full look at her appearance: nails, accessories, etc. She mentions where you can buy everything, and it’s unclear whether she was sponsored by these brands or is just excited to talk about them. (Whether they’re actually together or not,) she’ll have Haruka on as a guest a lot to show off couple’s outfit ideas. She definitely has the biggest following, and loves recommending Haruka and the others’ accounts.
Shidou: He doesn’t really know what he’s doing, but his account is getting tons of views so the others keep encouraging him to make videos. He’s just glad to be connecting with the other prisoners as they show him how to do it. He dresses in a mix of the sleek patterned shirts and dad fits, and both types of videos are equally popular.
Mahiru: None of the serious-faced flirts or little pouty faces – it’s all smiles for her. Every video is basically a full tutorial – she has captions and a voiceover giving commentary on everything. She has the next biggest following, and interacts constantly. She loves getting questions “what should I wear on an x type date?” “How do I dress to impress x type of person?” because she always comes up with the perfect outfit to help.
Kazui: A bit confused as well, though he does know a lot about style. His interro question makes it seem like he wanted kids – I think he’d really get into the account as one of those “Dad How Do I” types. He talks about matching things, clothes upkeep, shaving/hairstyling.
Amane: Also wouldn’t have made the videos without prompting from the others, but enjoys it a lot. She usually talks about practical things instead of “vain” fashion: she’s excited to show off a new raincoat, sturdy shoes, useful pockets, etc. Over time, she leans into outfits that are more cute and colorful, gaining confidence in them.
Mikoto: He started the account as something for one of his design classes, and got really into it. He likes to challenge himself with unique styles and clothing articles, making pretty much anything work. He keeps everything professional in case an employer/coworker sees, but isn’t afraid to add some flirting and flaunting in there. If he’s open about his plurality, he’ll have some special videos, “choosing an outfit for John today!”
Kotoko: Like Amane, she’s more excited about practical outfits. She’ll show off clothes that have good flexibility, places to store and conceal objects, and heavy duty materials. She’ll rate jackets, boots, and other “military-grade” things for what has worked best for her. She’s very attentive to the accounts that follow her – she does full background checks to make sure her info is being used for justice, not more crime. Mahiru convinces her to do a special where she puts all her piercings in and talks about why she chose them/what they mean.
Es: Experiments with a lot of new styles, trying to figure out what they like. They also just play music in the back, not having much to say about each outfit. They'd rather focus on their series of dressing-up-Jackalope videos, much to his dismay...

Hey um. How’re you coping
Coping is for the strong actually. I am a mess.
I mean, I did have as a theory that this exact scenario would happen if we vote like that but I don’t know I was like… « who knows ? Let’s goooo! Maybe, everyone is right?»
I am a victim of gashlighting and propaganda by this fandom./hj
Maybe Kazui will actually do something for once..? haha… What about Mikoto ? Amane is a child she won’t do much haha… LIE ! DECEIT ! EXECUTION !
I literally made a whole ass thread on Twitter explaining how and why Amane could actually manage to kill him… I even brought up the taser BEFORE THE PURGE MARCH REVEAL???? WHY DID NOBODY LISTEN TO ME ?????? (I mean, I still forgave Amane I am here to say that I was right all along not that forgiving her was wrong, nuance.)
These characters actually want me to beat their ass I am so angry and frustrated like ????
What are you guys forgiven for ? I knew not forgiving Muu was like a red flag but I am actually so happy that the writers proved us(them because I always trusted them) that they were ready to kill off characters.
I feel like now everyone will take the verdict more seriously. This is like my only solace.
But, right now ? I need answer. What happened to Shidou ? Haruka ? MY SHEYLA MAHIRUUUUUU.
At least, I am glad that Mahiru was able to leave this world while staying faithful to her own kindness and love. She could have turned into a bitter and angry girl but she instead choose to be thoughtful and caring of everyone despite her pitiful state…
I wish and pray for all the character to be DESTROYED BY HER DEATH LIKE I WAS if not then they deserve to be unforgiven. Except Muu, she dealing with Haruka I can overlook it exceptionally…
What happened to my milgram? Like ? Why them of all people ? What kind of choice led to that outcome… Kotoko’s action ? Not forgiving them ? Or Amane ? Maybe something that we didn’t even consider… Fuuta was really interested in « saving » people… what if..! Nah. Let’s just wait and assume the best of them right now :,)

Goodbye, My Danish Sweetheart.
Tumblr media
Hey I think the framing of this scene is really fucking cool and I wanna talk about it because I haven't seen anybody do that. yet so. yahooo!! let's get into it
BUT FIRST. Symbolism:
an empty chair can symbolise the absence or memory of someone dear who has passed away. This is very obviously meant to represent Hinako in this scenario
In my interpretation, this scene is Kazui saying goodbye to Hinako and apologising for the circumstances of her death.
The lyrics that play are:
"I’m sure nothing will change and we’ll laugh together and call each other stupid names, so many things I wish i hadn't known, I'm just a coward."
The first part of this verse sounds like he's wishfully thinking about what could've happened after he told her the truth - if anything a bit naively.
Kazui wanted (and still wants) to get the weight of his lies off his chest, but he wasn't ready to face the consequences of that confession, most likely making Hinako's death hit even harder.
Here, he bows to the chair before turning around leaving, a silent goodbye.
~
But what about what's going on in the background of this scene? Well!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Kazui leaves, these two scenes flash in the background. On the table in the first shot is our good friend the green apple, and Background Kazui picks it up, analyses it, before biting it.
So let's go for another symbolism refresher!!
Green apples can sometimes represent platonic relationships, like friendship, but in Kazui's case this takes the form of a sin - as not loving Hinako romantically is what he's lying about - making it a reference to the Garden of Eden story.
Going from that, biting into an apple can represent feeding into temptation.
My interpretation of this scene is Pre-Marriage Kazui indulging in his 'sin', which in my opinion is the fact he's gay.
Let's go back to that lyric shall we:
"I’m sure nothing will change and we’ll laugh together and call each other stupid names, so many things I wish i hadn't known, I'm just a coward."
So many things you wish you hadn't known huh.. Not knowing you were gay would sure make lying to your wife a whole lot easier wouldn't it?
"What I gave up a long time ago, why is it questioning me now? So many things that I should now have known, I'm just a coward"
Woohoo evidence for Background Kazui being Pre-Marriage Kazui!!!
I think this scene is the last time Kazui let himself be free before marrying Hinako. This could possibly have been when he noticed she had a crush on him at their work.
He's indulging one last time. Embracing his sin instead of hiding it away one. last. time. before giving it up for good, almost like a. goodbye.
~
So. I think this scene is framed this way in order to show the parallel of Kazui giving up his sin, and Kazui mourning Hinako's death.
As established, they both have a "goodbye, I'm sorry things turned out this way" atmosphere to them. Kazui is apologetic, in a way, that he has to give up on being his true self and he is apologetic of his lies murdering Hinako, so Milgram conveys this by showing the two scenes posed the same way in front of one another.
This framing also gives the scene a Beginning Vs End feeling that I think is really cool, and the use of Dark Vs Light colours only heightens that! (Though that's slightly off topic rip)
Conclusion? I love this scene it's awesome and amazing and super cool

Milgram Eeo Store Collab Art Analysis Part 2/4: Yuno, Kazui and Kotoko
Tumblr media
Pictured above are the forgiven prisoners depicted not using their umbrellas — Yuno, Kazui and Kotoko. My theory is that their choice not to use their umbrellas represents the fact that these three were either neutral to their verdicts or rejected them. In Yuno and Kazui's case, facing away from their umbrellas, they reject Milgram's protection, turning away from the comfort of believing in their innocence just because the audience tells them it is so. In Kotoko's case, she aligns herself beside her umbrella rather than allowing it to protect her — placing herself alongside Milgram's power instead of beneath it. In doing so, she refuses to take comfort in it, but she also hasn't rejected it entirely — because although she operates on her own terms, at the time, she wanted to be Milgram's equal and work alongside it.
Edit: I also can't help but notice the way Yuno and Amane, the characters who most vocally resisted their verdicts in Trial 2, are the only ones who were depicted wearing hoods. In the same way that wearing a hood often restricts one's vision and ability to hear clearly, they both turned inwards and away from those around them upon learning how they'd been voted, refusing to listen to anyone else and becoming distant.

My sincere hopes for T3 covers! (Though I can almost guarantee being wrong on at least two counts here)
EDIT: I'd written this up before Curtain Call dropped, but I think it'd be funny to post it anyway (also I still think they might get cover songs; they're not canon, please it'd be so goood...)
Haruka – Undead Alice Every time I ask for ideas to hurt myself, I breathe in happiness and breathe out poison The ideal junkie, doesn’t it feel good that only the two of us are normal? First and foremost, I just think his voice would sound good with this song. Secondly I think the juxtaposition of emotions in this song works for Haruka - love and hate intertwining until it's so so hard to tell where they start and end, knowing on some level that's not "normal" but ignoring it anyway because it's easier, because it's the only thing you know.
Yuno – Rookie Layerings on my skin What’s it mean, who was I with when I got this? Though Yuno has no literal tattoos, I do think that she carries the memory of what she's done physically, with her constant talk of physical sensations like warmth.
Fuuta - Ghost Rule That affected talkativeness of mine, Just digging my own grave, burning myself out My fave Deco song, with my fav Milgram prisoner? Yes please! The constant focus on guilt and regret, the cyclical nature of it all... Your own words ending up being your undoing as you seek approval and redemption even as you're fully aware that you're just lying and acting and projecting a version of yourself that was never really real.
Muu - Dilemma There’s nothing that can be done anymore, I’m too much aren’t I Who else am I supposed to love but you? Not knowing if you're meant to be angry at yourself or someone else; who is to blame in this situation? It might be easier to shoulder the blame yourself but maybe your simmering anger wishes to lash out instead.
Shidou – Cosmic Rendezvous Everything I thought I did for you, it was actually all for me To realize that now, I mean, how thick am I? Here, take all of my oxygen, so in exchange, please please wake up Thinking of Shidou with this song twists my insides and causes me so much emotional pain, it's a perfect fit. The themes of loss and pain inherent in "love" even when you try your best to move on. And yes, I do think it'd be funny to hear him say "fuck fuck fuck".
Mahiru – Aitai-liens Goodbye to “want you”, a Loversaurus I wanted you to be the hero of this story, you know An alien that destroys a planet because in her pursuit of "love" she only found negative emotions instead, even when pleading with the protagonist that she wanted him to succeed, which would imply either reciprocating her love or destroying her before she could destroy the planet. Who keeps seeking out this "love" even though it seems to end the same way every time.
Kazui – Relationship Scramble "Let's fall in love and do everything in the correct order." But in any case, we're just gonna let love consume us, hurt each other, then say goodbye, aren't we? There are other songs on this list I like more but this is the only one I yearn for this specific Milgram cover so badly. A relationship that falls apart despite trying so so hard to get it to work, simply because it was never meant to be. Scrambling after the gratification that's meant to be found in "love" but somehow never finding it, even at different times with different people. The shadow of a specific someone hanging over you like a curse, never letting you go. If that's not Kazui, I don't know what is.
Amane - Find the Light Gather together, for those singing voices will grow stronger as one Break through, grasping that color of tomorrow with this hand Probably the most unknown song on this list, I've liked it ever since I've first heard it. A story of desperately trying to cling to hope in a seemingly hopeless situation, tearing yourself apart to try protect the smiles of the ones closest to you. Despite everything, Amane is just a child that wants to see those she cares for happy and carefree, though she does have a unique way of going about it.
Mikoto – Chimera What do I want to do? Oh yeah, it's up to me What do I want to do? Oh yeah, I get to choose A song about falling prey to external evaluation and praise. A song about losing yourself and your identity. A song named after a combination of different things that make up one whole. A song that screams Mikoto, through and through, who lost his core so much that he ended up falling into Milgram.
Kotoko – Iiya/118 Even if you say, "In that case, we're accomplices" Well, I guess that's how it goes A codependent relationship, toxic for both sides but neither can stop the wheels from turning once they're in motion. Mourning the fact you're incapable of change and dying on the hills of the sunk-cost fallacy. Until it all comes crumbling down and you fall apart.

BURTS DOOR OPEN
HOLY SHIT HOLY DUCKING SHIT
im doing a drawing for kazui right now and I was like haha what if I threw in an ace of spades
and then got flashbacks to the one scene where he's talking to hinako with various magic tricks above him and GUESS WHAT FUCKING CARD WAD ABOVE HIM
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE GODDAMN ACE OF SPADES
so something I learned about while playing EXIT/Corners a long time ago is that the Ace of Spades is commonly regarded as the Card of Death
Now, what if this was a prediction of what was to come?
Kazui was explaining what he could do in this scene, with all the cards and magic wands and whatnot. He did not realize that lying would end in her death.
Kazui seems more content in talking/explaining instead of how you do the trick (A common phrase is, "A magician never tells their secrets."), which is why he never noticed the Card of Death from the get-go.
He never wanted to harm her, only impress her in some ways, which is why he's showing off his tricks/lies. But, when he finally tells the truth, he never noticed that Card of Death – he never realized she would die.
And, I feel as though this is probably a deliberate choice of MILGRAM's part because there's loads of detail into the A and the Spade itself.
Now, we can move past the Card of Death thing for just a moment and look more into the Ace of Spades.
While looking into this, I found a website that says the Ace of Spades means change.
Tumblr media
Now, I don't know how well it fits, but the words "inherent power each of us possesses to mold and shape our reality, irrespective of the external conditions we face" somehow remind me of Kazui. How he lied to protect his wife.
To make sure his wife felt loved, even when he wasn't sure of himself/of the marriage.
Unknowingly, he lied to protect Hinako even when he wasn't sure of anything, but, in the end, Hinako's death would always come to be.
It’s for the sake of true love, who wouldn’t lie for that?

Note
maybe i'm overthinking this, but Yuno's Tear Drop line
"Don't weigh me measure me against your morality"
makes me think of how pregant women have to consistently check their weight/measure their stomach size by doctors sometimes, or themselves
and looking at it from this lens makes me think of her talking to the client instead of just the auidence.
what do you think?
Well, before we get into the rabbit hole this has caused me to go down for several hours I do hafta tap the sign again,
Tumblr media
Content Warning: Filicide, murder (self-explanatory), child death (self-explanatory), an in depth run down of pregnancy, it's many side effects, and the procedures done over the course of carrying a child to term.
Heads up I was fine with saying it was pregnancy entrapment and moving forward with my day. Because I could not give one less of a damn about this child in theory or in the reality of the narrative either. However, I try my best to report facts-
It is a fact that children have an overwhelming place not only in Yuno's narrative but in the narrative overall.
There are no prisoners who aren't in some aspect related to children. Be it wanting to have them their selves like with Mahiru, Kazui, and Yuno. Being a child themselves like Amane, negatively impacting the life of a child or ending it like Haruka, Futa, Shidou, and Kotoko. Or just being related to one and focused on setting a good example for them like with Mikoto, Yuno, and Shidou when it comes to Amane (even though this is mostly projection on his part).
Very few prisoners are beating the we're bad with kids allegations.
The best we got is Mikoto who to his own admission through song lyrics and interrogation answers rarely visits home and doesn't call that much. So, his relationship with his sister now is estranged at best or nonexistent/incredibly infantilizing at worse. Since he may think of her more like his daughter than a sibling. Something that older siblings easily fall into regardless of how far apart in age they are.
So, I feel it's important for me to make this clear.
I mostly want to see Yuno kill a man twice her size- Because I believe in her. She can do it! Kill a client girl, please? Possibly the two responsible for this messy predicament we're about to go into in such egregious detail it's sidetracked my other work.
I have no stake in what happened to this child. This child is a side story to me.
However, I do care about honestly laying out the facts for people who seek to know more about them. As well as doing due diligence whenever someone goes out of their way to communicate a question to me. That is my biggest priority first and foremost. Regardless of whether something aligns with my interests or not I would like to motivate people to seek out more knowledge.
It's hard to look into something all on one's own collaboration is a necessary and enjoyable way to learn something new.
So, really from the start there's no such thing as overthinking. If you're engaging with the story in front of you in a way that inspires you to learn more and form your own opinions that's never a bad thing in my opinion.
So, anon you're asking me what I think about the fact that the line,
"Don’t weigh me measure me against your morality."
Can bring about imagery of prenatal care practices. Of weighing the mother and measuring their stomach. In this case taking Fundal Height Measurements.
What is fundal height? (Cleveland Clinic)
Fundal height is the distance between your pubic bone and the top of your uterus during pregnancy. Measuring fundal height helps healthcare providers assess if the fetus is developing correctly. It also can help determine gestational age (term to describe how far along the pregnancy is) and the fetus's position in your uterus. It's measured in centimeters with measuring tape. After about 20 weeks of pregnancy, your fundal height in centimeters should be close to the fetus's gestational age. For example, if you are 24 weeks pregnant, your fundal height should be around 24 centimeters.
You're also stating this is why you believe Yuno is referring to her client when she says this and not the audience or Es. This is the beginning of a good train of thought that's mostly being derailed by the overall lack of literacy around pregnancy. People around the world sometimes don't find out anything in regards to pregnancy until after they become pregnant. Some schools don't even teach health classes in that much depth or at all.
So, the likelihood of her client checking her on this isn't that high in my opinion. That doesn't mean that they couldn't have done this but these are usually things done during prenatal checkups throughout a persons pregnancy. Mostly in order to check if the baby is coming along healthily or if anything has gone wrong.
Which brings is to issue one.
Why would Yuno's songs have lyrics that allude to prenatal care as though she was going to it if the pregnancy was just an accident and she,
"I messed up. I found out."
Well would anyone happen to know what's murder and way too late to be considered an abortion?
Filicide
"Filicide, or the murder of one's own child, is an unfathomable crime." - "Parents may, for a variety of reasons, be compelled to kill their children. This article aims to educate mental health providers about the concept of filicide by presenting a broad overview of the topic, including a discussion of its history, definitions, classifications, outcomes, and the research surrounding it."
Source: An Overview of Filicide
Yeah that's why that content warning was there. Yuno wouldn't be the first prisoner in Milgram to kill a kid. I mean did anyone seriously believe that- This murder was smaller than the others?
"……don’t tell me, did this murder seem smaller to you than the murders of the other prisoners? Thought-provoking!" - Jackalope MILGRAM / Jackalope’s “Report on the end of Second Trial
That they could just decide,
"I wonder though, what decides the worth of a life?"
That just because the victim may have been a newborn infant they had less agency? Their life didn't matter as much?
"I'm disappointed. You don't seem to be taking me seriously, merely based on the fact that I am a child."
But it is true that a parents influence on adolescents is strong, isn't it? Compared to adults, you are a lot more dependent on your parents.
"I see. Then, are things that I as a twelve-year-old think irrelevant? Are you going to cast aside the feelings I know that I know I have in this very moment, purely based on the fact that I have not yet lived for a very long time? Judging these things based on someone's age will not take you very far."
...
"Do I, at age twelve, not have my own will? Does Mu-san, at age sixteen, have more of a free will than I do? Does Yuno-san, at age eighteen, have even more of a free will? Does Futa-san, at age twenty, have an entirely free will?"
Does an infant at the age of weeks or months have no free will or a claim to life at all? A mere baby? The age where a person is the most reliant on their parents and the people around them. The time in a person's life they are the most vulnerable.
If their parents just decide that they can't or won't-
"I ***'t be bothered."
Is that alright? I mean it's not like they're even a person yet. A baby can't comprehend what they're being robbed of.
"Judging these things based on someone's age will not take you very far."
The difference between an infant and fetus. A lot of people would say it's a big one. Even so there are many cases of filicide. More than most like to admit.
Oh, come on Gunsli- Are we so hard up for content in these trying times that we're falling back on theories from the very beginning of the series. Are you saying that Yuno threw a kid over a balcony.
Like,
"Oh, please?! Give me that baby and I'd yeet it off a tower."
I have no stake in this I'm choosing my peace. Don't shoot the messenger. I am simply saying there's a mountain of implications for this being the case. A mountain that has only grown larger over the course of Milgram.
This isn't even my theory people were saying this as far back as trial one simply based on this being her Undercover image,
Tumblr media
And the focus on staircases in Umbilical.
Some may still be asking what would even imply that even after everything said so far. Outside of these ridiculous accusations and subtle illusions to prenatal care being received.
There's nothing else.
I mean other than the fact she blatantly admitted the prisoner most like her is Kazui. All without ever saying he wasn't like her in some other aspects outside of the reasons they lie.
Q.18 Which of the other prisoners is most like you?
Yuno: Kazui without a doubt.
Tumblr media
Q.05 Which of the other prisoners is most like you?
Kazui: I suppose I have to answer Kashiki-chan, since she said all that.
And Kazui was intimately involved with and responsible for this-
Tumblr media
This was done to a whole ass adult. Yuno would have a lot less work to do if her victim was an infant. Since if you hold a baby wrong it can die. Its skull hasn't even fully formed yet.
Infants have soft spots in the skull referred to as the,
Fontanelles
Key facts Fontanelles are soft spots on your baby's head where the skull bones have not yet completely fused together. Fontanelles are completely normal and important for brain and skull development. The fontanelles should be completely closed by the time your baby is 26 months old. It's safe to gently touch your baby's fontanelles. If your baby's fontanelles are sunken or bulging, seek urgent medical advice.
It would not be difficult to kill one of the squishiest things in existence. This is why there are very specific ways one is meant to hold a newborn baby. Dropping one at all is a serious issue by itself.
Still Kazui and Yuno be like,
"I've never run into a problem that I couldn't be bothered with any longer that gravity couldn't solve!"
Plus, she's paired with the guy known to have literally killed a child himself. Then as I've brought up numerous times before... Her second song as is called Tear Drop. Tear as in to rip something up or out and drop as in to discard.
Something that here could imply the baby was torn out of her which is usually what happens during pregnancy anyway especially if she had to get a C-section. Yet it's also common during natural births for mothers to feel like the baby is tearing them apart from the inside as they're in labor/giving birth. Something commonly displayed across media. So, the name of her second song already implies to an extent that she went into labor at a point without even touching on the line highlighted that alludes directly to prenatal care.
So, without further delay let's have a health lesson courtesy of Milgram and Kashiki Yuno~
Definition of Labor
Labor is a series of continuous, progressive contractions of the uterus that help the cervix dilate and efface (thin out). This lets the fetus move through the birth canal. Labor usually starts two weeks before or after the estimated date of delivery. However, the exact trigger for the onset of labor is unknown.
Signs of Labor
While each woman experiences labor differently, some common signs of labor may include: Bloody show: A small amount of mucus, slightly mixed with blood, may be expelled from the vagina.
Tumblr media
Contractions: Uterine muscle spasms that occur at intervals of less than 10 minutes may signify that labor has started. These may become more frequent and severe as labor progresses.
Tumblr media
"I feel a little weird I’m still not used to feeling this way. - I can’t smile well anymore. It’s because of you."
Contractions: Uterine muscle spasms.
What do contractions feel like?
Contractions feel different for everyone. Some of the ways people describe them are: Very strong and intense menstrual cramps. A wave-like tightness that begins at the top of your uterus and moves downward. A squeezing or pushing sensation across your entire abdomen. So painful that you can’t walk or talk during one.
So the tingle can't be that. Labor would be too painful to be described that way. Hm, what else is there...?
Braxton Hicks contractions
Key facts Braxton Hicks contractions are a normal part of pregnancy. Braxton Hicks contractions feel like the muscles across your belly are tightening. Braxton Hicks contractions are irregular, usually lasting for about 30 seconds — while they can be uncomfortable, they aren’t usually painful. Braxton Hicks contractions don’t mean that you’re going into labour. If you’re not sure if you are having Braxton Hicks or labour contractions, contact your doctor or midwife.
"I feel a little tingle inside."
Or the most likely option is that the tingle being referred to is the baby kicking. Also knowns as-
Fetal Movement
Fetal movements felt by pregnant women are a sign that the fetus is growing in size and strength. The pregnant woman is usually the first to feel these movements, which can later be perceived by others. Women are often taught by their healthcare provider to monitor or be aware of the movements of the fetus. This can be a general awareness of fetal movements, or the women can be taught to count the number of kicks they feel in a set amount of time. Reduced fetal movement can be worrisome for both the mother and the attending healthcare provider. Decreased fetal movement can be a warning sign of potential fetal impairment or risk, and therefore, warrants further evaluation by the healthcare provider.
Your baby's movements (NHS)
You should start to feel your baby move between 16 to 24 weeks of pregnancy. If this is your first baby, you might not feel movements until after 20 weeks.
What your baby's movements feel like?
The movements can feel like a gentle swirling or fluttering. As your pregnancy progresses, you may feel kicks and jerky movements.
Check, check and check.
By the facts and Yuno's own statements in her song lyrics and elsewhere- She is at best 16 to 24 weeks pregnant.
In Japan, abortion is permissible up to a pregnancy period of less than 22 weeks.
Source: J-Stage
She's cutting it pretty close here and that's at the very beginning of Umbilical. She continues to carry the pregnancy forward throughout that song. Even after it's popped we're actually shown it's gotten bigger.
Tumblr media
The balloon looks to be smaller before it's popped as well.
Tumblr media
Shown by how even when Yuno is not applying much pressure to it the smaller ones inside still do not have as much space to move around in as the balloons we see in the one shown after this popping scene. Once again implying that this pregnancy is getting closer and closer to term as the song continues. Not only does this information display that.
It also showcases that Yuno-
For all of the audience talking saying she was just naïve and didn't know what she was doing and just made a mistake- In fact recognized she was pregnant and did things to make sure that pregnancy was viable and was probably looking forward to having a kid for a small bit.
Like she said in Tear Drop.
"“Poor naive little girl”? So off the mark, what’s it to you? It’s just absurd." - "Feeling magnanimous? INNOCENT? I’m so not that."
In Umbilical the audience is even shown her looking into buying baby toys reminiscent to Haruka's,
Tumblr media
One decently different from the one she receives in Tear Drop latter.
Tumblr media
This is something implied from the beginning of the series. It is implied not only through the scene in Umbilical combined with this statement,
Q.20 What’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought for yourself?
Yuno: I can’t really remember. Maybe a plush toy?
Which proves the one within Umbilical is more than likely not the same one in Tear Drop. Considering that the one seen in her second mv is expressly being gifted to her. She did not buy it for herself. Meanwhile the one in Umbilical is one she went out and looked at herself with seemingly no one else present.
Since none of her clients have really been outside or in stores with her often. At least not so openly in empty spaces like that. Yuno even states that she tends to go shopping with friends.
Q.12  Tell us your hobby.
Yuno: Going out shopping with my friends, I guess? Also I’m part of the theatre club, so occasionally practice.
Tumblr media
Baby plush toys can get really up there in price too. Especially if they're good quality made to last for a while again similar to Haruka's. It's not unheard of for new mothers to splurge on their child's first toy.
Beyond that, the store Yuno is currently in is set up like every store for new mothers that sells goods for infants. Even down to the layout.
Here are some links that have some visuals of baby stores that I found with help from @doctorbunny while looking into this,

Pictures from inside a shop in Tokyo that Bunny found.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bunny she's holding in the photo is even a neutral muted color unlike the brighter yellow one she's given later.
Please feel free to look up more examples. Since I'm not from Japan and have never been there I can't be entirely sure what stores for expecting mothers and infants are like out there.
Bright Colors vs. Muted Colors - How it affects your little one
How to present color to a newborn and children up to 3 years? A baby that is only a few days old prefers contrasting patterns. Their eyes aren't fully developed yet in the first days, even months. Different shades of one color are preferred not to overstimulate the newborn visually. Use black, white, and grey color in different patterns and shapes to offer a strong, contrasting visual experience and to offer the best form of visual stimulation without overstimulating them. These colors stand out in their field of vision.
Tumblr media
From 3 to 6 months, babies prefer primary colors, and at 7 months, their vision is developed very well, and you can introduce most colors and shades of it. But GRADUALLY. After one year, children learn to differentiate colors, so they can be used to stimulate cognitive development. After 3 years, every color plays its own role in your child's development and has a beneficial role.
How Colors Play a Role in Baby’s Development (the BUMP)
"Initially, newborns can’t see in full color, so most toys and board books for the first few months of life use bright images with high contrast (like black and white) and lots of white space, says Natasha Burgert, MD, FAAP, a Kansas-based pediatrician and Philips Avent expert." These sharply contrasting colors, shapes and patterns encourage baby’s development in many ways. First, they’re easier for babies to see and process, compared to muted colors with lower contrast, says Jody LeVos, PhD, childhood development expert and chief learning officer at the education company BEGiN. Plus, they also help to boost “the development of optic nerves and encourage babies’ cognitive development without overstimulating them,” Hafeez explains. Babies gradually begin to process more colors as they grow and can typically see the full color spectrum by 6 months old, Burgert says. “As children age, so do the cells in the eye.” And the more color baby sees, the better their retinas will begin to process them, says Carolyn Rubenstein, PhD, a licensed psychologist in Florida. She recommends paying attention to baby’s interest and how long they look at something. This can help determine when to add more colors to baby’s space to slowly stimulate their visual development and strengthen the bond between visual and cognitive processing. “Brain cells receive input from baby’s different developing senses that allow the nerves to expand and grow,” Rubenstein explains. “The more visual stimuli you provide, the more the baby’s retina matures, and the optic nerves progress.”
Sorry babies eyes are still in the development stage. Please introduce high contrasting colors first. So they can get acclimated to colors. Nothing too big those peepers are still sensitive. You wouldn't want to overstimulate the baby. Yuno: Aww what a cute rabbit. (Fucking yellow piece of shit.)
What Colors Are Best for Baby’s Development?
Experts agree that black, white and high-contrast colors are best for baby’s early development, and a spectrum of colors can help little ones manage their big feelings later on. But does this mean beige and neutral colors might be hindering baby’s development? Not necessarily. “While a toy that’s beige is not harmful, a toy with a bold black-and-white pattern (which has high contrast) will likely be more interesting for baby,” LeVos says. “Having said that, you don’t need to turn everything black and white!” The good news is there are plenty of existing objects that provide sharp contrast that you may not even think about. “You may notice that baby is fascinated with the ceiling fan (even when it’s not on), which is an example of an object in the real world that already provides the type of contrasting colors baby craves,” LeVos explains.
This may be why the bunny we see her have in Umbilical is a plain beige. Because at the time this was the trend when it came to designing baby rooms and still is. It was particularly a trend on the website Yuno is implied to be using,
Tumblr media
Instagram. So it wouldn't be surprising for her to follow these sort of trends when it comes to aesthetics.
Outside of all that though. Milgram and Yuno herself made it clear from the beginning that the pregnancy was something she was prolonging. Through showing her blowing up the balloon herself (the balloons also match the coloring on the toy rabbit seen in Umbilical) throughout her first trial song.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For those curious Star color picked the balloons and stuffed rabbit in IbisX and these are the hex codes
FFEDD9 <- Bunny
FCEAE0 <- Balloons.
She said they're in the same range whatever that means I don't know how these work. I just work here.
Yuno wanting to have kids regardless of her personal motivations as to why- Would still track with the man she went on record saying was like her the most out of the prisoners without a doubt. Giving the audience more of an insight into why Yuno the most observant of the cast who tells the audience that her habit is people watching would be so certain of this.
20/06/30
Mu: ……yeah, that’s right, since I went to an all-girls school. I’m not really used to being around adult men…… other than Papa.
Kazui: I see…… I get why a big guy like me could be scary for you, then. Hm? Ah…… Kusunoki-chan. Sorry for asking out of the blue, but how old is your father?
Mu: Eh……? Um…… I think he’s 41……
Kazui: ……it wouldn’t be strange for me to have a kid around your age then, huh. I’m getting old. Well, nothing to be gained by thinking about it……
Q.08 If you could have one of the other prisoners as your family, who would you pick?
Kazui: Maybe Amane- Having children was the furthest thing imaginable in our family.
24/06/27 (Amane’s Birthday)
Kazui: We never really thought about having kids in my family. So because of that, it’s a bit dazzling having you here. I am still worried about you though, despite everything. If things were different, it wouldn’t be that weird for me to have my own kid about your age.
Amane: ……not having children is just a different way one can choose to live. Bringing new life into the world is something to be respected, but it isn’t a guarantee or measure of happiness. If this is the choice you made based on your own environment and responsibilities, then you can feel pride in your choice.
Kazui: Ah, I guess so. I mean, hypothetically, even if I did want kids. Children can easily be influenced by the way their parents raise them. I understand that first-hand. And I know I can’t take on that responsibility. Yeah. Well, if there’s anything this old man can say to the next generation. I think you should do what you like. Do things the way you want to. Whether you’re a child or not, it doesn’t matter. Don’t lie to your own true feelings.
Amane: Who do you think you’re lecturing…… I don’t need you to tell me that. I’m faithful to my own feelings. I am, to mine.
23/09/02 (Yuno’s Birthday)
Kazui: I heard you’ve been helping Shidou-kun out. ……er, sorry if this comes across as rude, but it’s kind of unexpected. It always seemed like you didn’t care that much about other people.
Yuno: Hmm? What’s with that all of a sudden. I mean, you’re right, I don’t care much. But if there’s someone dying in front of you anyone would do what they could to help, right? And anyway, aren’t you the same? You usually don’t care much either, right?
Kazui: ……I wonder. This old man isn’t as much of a thinker as you are. I mean, until now I’ve been in an environment where it’s all about having physical strength. So I’ve never really thought about stuff like that.
Yuno: Haha, we’re the same in that we’re both liars too. I guess the difference is the reasons we lie. You care about yourself, so lie to protect yourself. I don’t care about anyone at all, including myself.
Kazui has not hidden (or hasn't done a good job of hiding) the fact that he has wanted or is interested in having children himself since the series started. Plus the audience has been shown time and time again Yuno's no pushover when it comes to her observations and she doesn't say things when she knows it would be pointless to.
20/05/26
Kazui: Ahh, this old man’s gonna go and smoke in the corner a bit. I checked with the guard, and apparently we can use our free time however we want. Man, I’m glad this place is so relaxed.
Shidou: ……! Are…… we allowed to smoke……?
Kazui: Huh…… Shidou-kun, was it? You smoke too? That’s kinda unexpected.
Shidou: Ah, yes. ……I only started fairly recently though. I’ll go with you…… to smoke.
Futa: Ahh, those old men really stink of tobacco. Are they idiots or something? They should know better at that age…… If they really can’t cope without relying on something like that then I worry about their sanity.
Yuno: ……it doesn’t really matter does it? They’re making sure they’re staying far away from the people who don’t smoke. Personally I quite like the smell anyway.
Futa: Huh!? What are you talking about? It means you’re more likely to get sick, it costs money, it’s a nuisance for everyone around you, what’s even the point. Our tax money is being wasted going towards paying for that, you know? If you were really smart, you’d know not to smoke at all!
Yuno: I see~
She knows when to let a topic die as one could put it. Now let's get back into the facts of childbirth.
The last sign of Labor
Rupture of the amniotic sac (bag of water): If you experience amniotic fluid gushing or leaking from your vagina, go to the hospital immediately and contact your health care provider. Most women go into labor within hours of the amniotic sac breaking. If labor does not begin soon after rupturing your amniotic sac, you will be given medications to induce your labor. This step is often taken to prevent infection and other delivery complications.
Something that could be related back to the state we see Yuno in during the artistic depiction of her crime in Undercover. Yes, I know... But Gunsli by that logic wouldn't it mean the only crime to occur in Yuno's story would be filicide?
Not exactly.
This is why I said artistic depiction of her crime. What we get in Undercover is not the most realistic depiction we have of any of the prisoners' crimes. That would be the third anniversary art of them all after their crimes. To further prove this isn't the most realistic depiction of their crime and could instead be the inciting incidents. In the art for Mikoto who we've seen commit murder with a bat there's no bat in sight. Then for Amane who we saw in Purge March use her umbrella as a weapon her anniversary art has her in the attire from magic.
This winds up implying that in the cases of Amane and Mikoto's there was more than one murder.
Especially since some prisoners such as Kotoko and Futa are dressed exclusively as they were dressed when they committed their crimes. Now sure Kotoko wears that outfit whenever she's doing crime probably- So, this doesn't mean her or Futa didn't kill more than one person. It just means they're a bit more economical about it. They are not changing their clothes for this or may just own multiple of those outfits.
However, the fact that Amane, Mikoto, and Yuno are all dressed in ways that are specifically contradictory to the states we are shown them comiting the crime in within their videos... Should raise some eyebrows. Especially since Mu's art makes it abundantly clear these are after the crimes. Because it lines up directly with what we have been given in her mvs even down to the missing shoe.
Also it's clear the undercover one is an artistic rendition of the events because they're already in their uniforms during those which they were definitely not wearing. Meaning this may not only be an artistic rendition but foreshadowing of what the prisoners very well could do within Milgram. I mean Kotoko already kicked a few people around.
So, it wouldn't surprise me at this point. Plus like Jackalope said-
"There's a possibility that these prisoners are all monsters, who could eat us up, and that's exactly why-"
That's exactly why, determining that is my duty as the prison guard- Is what you'll say.
What I'm getting at is that Undercover showcases the triggers for the prisoners' misdeeds and what they may very will still be capable of even now. Despite the predicament Milgram has put them in. Two things can be true at once the instances in Undercover can alluded to their crimes prior to Milgram while still foreshadowing what they can do within Milgram.
Yet, Undercover doesn't show all of their misdeeds. If we think of Undercover as displaying all prisoners' and Es' starting points along with their possible end points based on our choices. I.E the attacks on Es being what occurs if they're left unrestrained or provoked too much.
Than that would allude to several things being true for Yuno.
That she in fact did have an abortion and that's what triggered her behavior in Umbilical. It's just that abortion happened prior to that. Due to the contractual nature of her situation that is alluded to during her part of Undercover.
Hell even these lyrics by themselves imply that she didn't want to get a abortion.
"“UNDER” My cord’s being pulled but nothing’s ever enough Contractual desires, oh what to do, FUTURE."
Stating that her cord's being pulled by something outside of her volition and asking, what to do about these contractual desires. The same desires alluded to at the beginning and throughout Tear Drop-
"The wanted wanting the wanter. The overlap, isn’t that some sort of perfection?" - "Desire, bestow, and desire again."
This again isn't anything new I've said this before.
Yes, I know that's a picture of Kotoko I need to make it clear that's not the first picture in that post. It's not even the last and yes the post is about Yuno. That image is just misleading.
I've discussed this many times at this point. I'll probably end up discussing it again too.
Because the posts I make on Yuno inevitably get lost to fucking time, banished from the tag entirely, and then even when I look for them on my end knowing full and well how they're tagged I can't find them either. Prime example I know I linked this stuff again in an ask specifically from Astarthatburnsbrightly.
I've gone into my own blogs archive then organized post by asks and it's not fucking there of course. Why would it be?
According to it- that ask never happened. An ask I was only trying to find because of how difficult it was to find the post I just linked the previous times I had to. Which is why I linked it in that ask. I'd usually attempt to gently convince myself into thinking I'm just recalling incorrectly but this person was really nice about my fuck ups when I answered that ask.
So, I don't think I am this time.
Because if there's one thing I remember clear as crystal it's my own mistakes. I'm gonna say this right now. Save this somewhere else I do not know if I or anyone will be able to find this again after it's up for a few weeks or even a month.
I just I really don't know anymore.
Hopefully the same thing doesn't happen to this ask. Yet, at the same time it does give me pause. Like I wouldn't be holding my breath to prove it won't disappear. I can tell you that. I literally had to hunt the thing I just linked back down. Again something I went out of my way to do the time I linked it in that ask and went ya know this one won't disappear it'll be fine.
When I was sent that other ask. If we manage to find that ask we'll link it too but I'm not holding my breath for it. (Edit 12/30/2024: I have not found it.)
Back to the point. This would also explain why Umbilical has a focus on reloading the warmth.
“Let’s reload the warmth.”
A line so important that it is the highlighted lyric within her first trial song description,
Tumblr media
Milgram has never shied away from the the fact that Yuno was trying to get back something she'd lost. Even within the old English lyrics of the music video,
"“UNDER” I feel the emptiness inside me. We agreed to seek each other, I wish we could do something about it, Future."
It would make a lot of sense if that something she lost was her previous and first pregnancy. As well as give her actions more emotional weight. Considering how emotionally devastating it is to be put into a situation where one wants to carry a pregnancy to term but is forced not to.
"Just me alone, it really is lonely. Let’s reload the warmth." - "Are we over? Please don’t answer. What do you want to do? Please tell me."
This would also shed some light on her mannerisms around Amane,
23/06/27 (Amane’s Birthday)
Amane: What is it…… Kashiki Yuno. Don’t sit so close to me. Go away.
Yuno: Sorry for barging in when you’re getting into your worldview thing. But Mahiru-san’s finally managed to get to sleep. Humour me with some small talk while I take a break. By the way, Amane. Have you ever wished you were never born? I’ve thankfully lived a pretty fun life so far, so haven’t really. But you seem to be struggling with something. So I kinda wondered if you thought like that.
Amane: ……I don’t think that. Being born into this world is the first miracle any person experiences, and is something to celebrate. Even if after birth I was put through trial after trial, the value of that will never disappear.
Yuno: Hmm. Ok. ……happy birthday, then. It’s good that you were brought into the world, I guess.
Asking her if she's ever wished she was never born to possibly get a yes and maybe feel a bit better about not being able to bring that previous pregnancy to term. Like well Amane's young and she already kind of regrets being here. Meaning there's no guarantee my child would've had it any better. Yet, instead she winds up receiving an entire spiel about how being born is the first miracle.
Leaving her to only be able to reply with,
"It's good that you were brought into the world, I guess."
Because that simply may be much better than pointing out not everyone gets that miracle. Yet it would definitely be something I could see someone who has gone through circumstances like that thinking. I feel like people greatly underestimate how many individuals within the world want children who may never be able to have any or have for reasons outside of their personal control were unable to carry a pregnancy to term.
Like the fact that people can have kids is something that they take for granted literally everyday. Until they come across someone who cannot have kids for whatever reason. It's to the point where most people go I'll do it when I feel like it because it's so commonly discussed as something people can do with very little complications.
But children are born stillborn, some fetuses form without heart beats, some people due to their line of work if they get pregnant on their job by accident will have to get an abortion. That's how the world has always worked. There are people who have kids and people who don't but the reasons for that are completely unknown to anyone outside of those people themselves.
This is a very intimate and personal issue.
So, to just go oh yeah abortion easy Innocent no more thought needed was a bit foolhardy at best and actively emotionally damning at worse. I can't imagine wanting a kid and having a bunch of people going you go girl ditch that fetus evict that baby. Like I'd be so upset. What the fuck gives anyone else the right to weigh in on that without even asking if I wanted children or not.
Which is something the audience could have asked at any time but was very comfortable with assuming the answer was no.
"Interesting. I guess that’s how it is in your era."
I guess it is. There's nothing more to say. Who the fuck wants a child in this economy, I guess. Let's just ignore that I feel the emptiness inside me thing it's not important. But Gunsli you've been accusing her of filicide this whole time and now you're saying she wanted a kid.
Oh would you look at that- This is a good time to get back to that second trial song title point.
Different Stages of Labor
Typically, labor is divided into three stages: First stage: During the onset of labor, your cervix will complete dilation. Early in this stage, you may not recognize that you are in labor if your contractions are mild and irregular.
Dilation is when the cervix opens up after thinning. One could equate this to tearing. The cervix thinning and opening up in this way allows for the baby to pass through the birth canal for the delivery to be done without need of a c-section.
To put it in more detail which I know is what everyone here wants.
Effacement
Put simply this is what the thinning of the cervix during pregnancy and child birth is referred to as. Effacement begins when the baby's head drops down into the pregnant persons pelvis and pushes against the cervix. This causes the cervix to stretch and thin out, or efface.
Then
Early labor is divided into two phases The latent phase: Marked by strong contractions that usually occur at five- to 20-minute intervals. During this phase, your cervix will dilate approximately 3 to 4 centimeters and efface. This is usually the longest and least intense phase of labor. You may be admitted to the hospital during this phase. Your doctor will perform pelvic exams to determine the dilation of the cervix. The active phase: Signaled by the dilation of the cervix from 4 to 10 centimeters. Your contractions will likely increase in length, severity and frequency, occurring at three- to four-minute intervals. In most cases, the active phase is shorter than the latent phase.
Especially since the baby is meant to drop out head side first when giving birth anyhow. This may imply that the baby got out fine but was dropped at a latter time.
Tear Drop- “Phew. Anyway!”
Oh.... Kay- but that's all circumstantial. Ya know what- Yeah it is. It's also completely rooted in the facts not just from how pregnancy works in reality but the facts provided from the series itself. If someone doesn't like it that's on them at this point.
Honestly, ya know I was gonna wait until I was done with what I was doing to say anything about or look into this. Especially since I was recently told that this environment still doesn't handle critical analysis of the characters well. Especially Yuno who has gotten a reputation of being able to do no wrong.
Then I was like I have a mother and a friend who have had children. I'll just phone them real quick and ask about this. Never a bad time to learn something new from people who have experienced the thing being discussed first hand. My friend told me that the measuring and weighing is sometimes incorporated into games at baby showers for people to attempt to guess the weight of the child on that info alone.
Which she stumbled across while planning a baby shower for someone else. Basically went yeah they weigh and measure. My mother was like of course they weighed me they do that when anyone goes to the doctor but they never put any tape on my stomach to measure it or anything.
My friend is more on the petite side around about the same weight as Yuno and didn't show when she was pregnant. Something that seems to be the same case for Yuno as well. So I could see measurements like that being done in her case but it's also just a common practice to do now.
Fundal height tells your healthcare provider important things about your baby's size, growth and position in your uterus. It helps confirm that your baby is growing as they should. It can also tell them how much amniotic fluid is in your uterus. Too little or too much amniotic fluid can indicate a problem.
Unlike back in my mother's day. Then outside of those things I began talking about it in private which is a guarantee to get an answer from me quicker than one usually would. Sadly no one outside of myself possibly not even the asker themselves may enjoy the answer I gave here.
Yet, in my opinion anonymous asker- You just highlighted a lyric that without a shadow of a doubt proves that Yuno committing filicide while not confirmed is incredibly likely. For all of the reasons I just listed above.
Damn Yamanaka was not lying when he said,
Q.15 Is there anything the guards aren't aware of yet?
Yamanaka: Of course, there may be some minor details, but I don't think there are any major points missing. The mysteries have already disseminated, I feel the full picture will be clearly revealed if the theories and wild speculations, which have been shared around the world, come together. As expected.
That was a real all according to plan way he said that in hindsight. Still I think what just happened here is a good example of what he was probably anticipating happening. Wait a second- you didn't say why she would kill a baby if she wanted one.
Oh; yeah! I forgot her first song title Umbilical. Yeah funny thing about those. Did you know that the umbilical cord is used for paternity tests after the child is born?
What is paternity test using umbilical cord? (HIRO CLINIC)
The umbilical cord, which is cut at birth, is an important organ that physically connects the baby to the mother. The cord and placenta are rich in the baby’s DNA, which can be used to confirm the parent-child relationship. While the most popular method of paternity testing is the “oral swab,” in which DNA is collected from the inside of the cheek, testing using the umbilical cord is particularly effective when a DNA sample remains from the time of birth. Let’s take a look at the process of how paternity testing using the umbilical cord is performed.
"I messed up, I found out."
Tumblr media
DNA Paternity Test (American Pregnancy Association)
Postnatal testing, after a child’s birth, is done through an umbilical cord collection at the time of delivery or a sample is collected at a lab after the baby is released from the hospital. Either a buccal (cheek swab) or a blood collection can be performed.
Her cords being pulled alright. Can't believe I almost forgot that part well... I'm gonna go play crypt. This took from twelve forty to eleven thirty pm to write.
Well, at least I'm pretty proud of it.

I put together a few Lights, Camera, Sing Your Sins thoughts! Details about characters, filming, reactions, etc. I doubt I'll get the chance to smoothly work some of them into the drabbles, but I still wanted to share them :)
Post-T1 thoughts:
The first few days out of the prison are really weird and awkward – the prisoners got too deep in the immersion and are slowly remembering what’s real and talking some things out. Before these major emotions can wear off, they’re pulled aside by various writers and teams to make a plan for the next trial. They meet up with deco*27 himself and the songwriting begins
They each have a private bedroom in the facility. The first night, they’re all super excited to not be sleeping in those uncomfortable cells, and then immediately feel really closed off to the others. For some it remains a good thing – Yuno is glad for the isolation, Fuuta’s paranoia about judgment is eased, etc. Still, it’s strange to be separated from the people they’ve been side-by-side with for a year and a half, 24/7. Many of them end up sleeping on the floor of one another’s room or leaving their doors wide open.
Jackalope is using long distance tech to project his voice into the prison, but the animal in the prison is just a well-trained pet with some hardcore costuming. Freed from its little uniform, the rabbit gets lots of pets and pampering from the prisoners.
They aren’t allowed to leave and visitors must be for filming purposes only, but each prisoner is allowed a phone call (“hey, just like a real prison!” Jackalope laughs). Haruka calls his sister, and so does Fuuta. They stay on the phone for a really long time. Yuno calls her parents, making sure to say hi to Yura. Muu calls her parents too, and cries hearing their voices. Shidou calls his family; being separated from them for so long only confirms his near-miss intentions. Mahiru realizes too late she should have called her family – instead, fresh off the guilty verdict, she calls her ex to apologize profusely. Kazui considers a few people he could call, but doesn’t take Jackalope up on the offer right away. Later in the hiatus he calls his childhood friend just to say hi; he doesn’t mention any of the experiment stuff going on. Amane wanted to call her father, but she doesn’t want to break the news that she’s not doing a good job because of her verdict. She waits until she knows he’ll be out per his usual schedule, and leaves a brief and formal message on the machine. Mikoto calls his mom and sister, asking about how everyone’s doing (and largely avoiding talking about himself). Kotoko calls her family, surprised at how emotional she gets hearing their voices.
Jackalope makes the mistake of mentioning updated guilty uniforms in front of the prisoners. Fashion expert Mahiru, designer Mikoto, and just simply nosy Yuno and Muu track down the costuming team to “help.” Though there’s not a ton of alterations to be made, they enjoy being a part of the process. They end up sticking around and chatting about mv outfits.  Mahiru enjoys everyone’s choices and fittings, and promises Amane they’ll go shopping someday and have a proper dress fitting. She asks if Es is going to get a new uniform as well. When told no, she vows she’ll take them shopping as well.
Though not allowed to leave, they’re at least allowed to step outside in designated areas. They enjoy the sun and rain and stars. The smoking group is excited to meet outside. Mikoto makes sure to hang out with them a bit extra seeing as he’s going to leave the group a bit come T2.
I wrote the drabbles as individual scenes since it was nice to give each prisoner their own time like that, but logically some filming would be overlapped a bit. Jackalope would still want to direct everything as best he could, but there may be multiple scenes filming at once. I just really liked the idea of the mixing of props and costumes. They yell “cut!” as Bee Muu takes a shortcut through the Backdraft set. Yuno accidentally leaves her pink-glasses rabbit in one of the AKAA chairs and Haruka laughs in the middle of a take as he moves it out of frame. Amane is on a quick break from her scene and Mikoto shows her around the train still in full marching band getup. (I just realized these were all back to back videos, but I think any and all can overlap lol)
Shidou is still the one to administer Mahiru and Fuuta’s bandages. Even though it’s fake, he wants it a) to be his real handiwork and b) to be accurate, given the disaster of Throw Down. He’s excited to share his knowledge and explain exactly how each of their imagined injuries would affect them, telling them the proper way to act. Mahiru listens intently, all but taking notes, while Fuuta is bored to death of his doctor-jargon ramble.
Back pre-T1, Jackalope started off telling the prisoners they can choose their song titles (just for organization's sake, Es won’t see them) but he ends up taking over because their titles are really, really bad. It’s a mix of those really long sentence-style titles and cool words/phrases that have absolutely nothing to do with the song itself. Jackalope goes through the files renaming “The Sweet Whispers of A Lost Love,” “Fuck You,” “They say three strikes and you’re out but clearly they’ve never met me before” and “Kotokos_song.mp3”. By the time they start filming second trial videos, it doesn’t phase him to open up files titled “Elegy to a Broken Heart,” “I checked the train schedule five times and still missed my stop,” “I Can’t Be Normal,” and “Kotokos_song(1).mp3”.
And some post-T2 thoughts:
The verdicts are both easier and harder to handle this time around. This is the second break from the immersion, and it’s easier to separate reality from experiment. However, the videos and interrogations this time around were a lot more raw, so there’s an extra sting of betrayal to them. Es got to look deep – much deeper than most – and still chose not to forgive.
Haruka isn’t really worried about death or harm from the verdict, but he does feel betrayed that Es would throw his life away like that. Muu doesn’t fear the consequences, but is saddened that once again she made someone like her only to turn against her when they saw her true self. The t1 guilties have a little meetup where they breathe a collective sigh of relief and congratulate one another on making it through. Fuuta just kind of sinks in relief, while Mikoto is giving out high-fives. Then they make a beeline for the current guilties to see how they can help.
Mahiru and Mikoto were always helpful to the others, but Fuuta surprises everyone by constantly checking in with the guilty prisoners. He remembers how much the verdict sucked and wants to try and help/prepare them as much as he can.
Red appears every once and a while to force people to take breaks when filming gets very involved/tiring. While Blue is pretty chill and cheery about everyone staying hydrated and getting good sleep, Red is a bit more serious with his approach.
I think with another innocent verdict and seeing everyone 'behind the scenes,' Kazui would finally, finally start opening up to people. I like to think, as Yuno starts filming another video about very comfortable with her sexuality, he approaches her first with the topic.
When given the chance to make phone calls, most of the prisoners choose the same people as before. Haruka doesn’t want to call anyone at first, but is glad when Muu forces him to call his sister. He’s by her side when she calls her parents. Mahiru remembers to call her parents first, telling them to pass along her well wishes to others. She got the verdict she was hoping for, but Amane can’t bring herself to call home.
The upcoming videos will likely be even more intense, but that just makes everyone band together more. They give each other confidence. They work extra hard to get silly goofy when it’s in good taste.

alskjfhlajsajfklsaflfsdaj the depressed repressed potentially gay middle-aged man sure got me good............................
from his Interrogation questions, the Thing that Kazui is lying about since he was a child (and telling the truth about killed his wife) is at least partially related to gender roles, at least in his own mind. We know his father had expectations of him being a "strong manly man" and had him follow in his footsteps in being a police officer. His T1 answer about wanting to ride a carousel also hints that, for whatever reason, he never had the chance to do so as a child. While carousels are not inherently feminine or emasculating, they are kind of seen as kiddie or girly rides, especially back when Kazui would've been a kid himself. The fact that even as a child he had never been on one, while wanting it enough to still think about getting on one as a adult, implies that he probably had been forbidden or pressured into not going on it due to it's 'emasculating' reputation (even though there's nothing about it that's inherently emasculating)... just like how being gay isn't emasculating, but was seen as such until relatively recently (and in some places still has that reputation).
Now, imo Kazui enjoys/prefers being the one who is pursued and pampered, if he was free to take part in the kinds of relationships he craved*; this would, again, go against the traditional gender role of the 'proper man' being the one who provides, who pursues, who takes action—in Cat we see that even though Hinako is the one who fell in love first, Kazui is the one who initiates the dating and proposal. She doesn't ask him out; he does. Not only is he playing the role of a heterosexual man, he's playing the heterosexual man who is assertive in demonstrating his desire for his romantic partner, when I think his inclination is to be the one who is wanted/courted. Even if he was straight, the desire to be the pursued pampered partner is already something that wouldn't fit in with the traditional gender role of what a 'proper' man should be like... and then on top of that he likes men. Liking men by itself is already considered 'emasculating' by his parents and/or society, and wanting to be the receptive partner who is courted and desired would be another strike against his masculinity (because a strong manly man is the one who is supposed to articulate/express his wants and desires assertively, or so society says).
I really do think "wanting to be loved like a cat" (猫 which sounds the same as ネコ) is a pun that gives additional context about why he's so ashamed of his desires—in his mind he's a failure of a man because he not only is (most likely) attracted to men, but he wants to be the receptive/courted partner. Him being so so so torn up by this is really sad because like... being the receptive partner in a gay relationship doesn't make one "less of a real man" or whatever, but he can't let go of that idea (that his parents/society drilled into him) even though it's not actually true.
*if we apply 0506's "confessing or being confessed to" question to Kazui, I really think he'd prefer to be confessed to—he wants to be known and accepted and loved, but he cannot bear to tell us the truth himself and instead begs Es (us) to free him. He wants someone else to articulate the truth of his desires for him but is unable or reluctant to state them plainly. This is not a guy who wants to confess; this is a guy who wants the option to decide whether he'd go along with his partner's desires, but doesn't want to be the one to lay his desires out in the open.

I really HATE it when mfs literally don’t take any of the suicide victims in milgram seriously especially KillCheory (please correct me if I misspelled it), and Mahiru’s boyfriend. The fandom is really and too lenient when it comes to Fuuta, Mahiru and sometimes Kazui. Fuuta literally had a role in DOXXING a middle school and harassing her until she took her own life and Mahiru is implied to have emotionally abused her bf and has been proven to be an abuser. But of course mfs always say, “WELL FUUTA DIDNT MEAN IT AND MAHIRU DIDNT KNOW THAT HE WOULD, MAHIRU’S BOYFRIEND SHOULD’VE JUST LEFT HER AND CUT CONTACT!!” That really shows right there that they don’t take emotional abuse and male victims seriously and always try to find excuses for mahiru and often ignore how worse she is in canon compared to the idealized fanon version of her that exists in their head. The same with Fuuta they always say KillCheory could’ve just deleted all her social media, there’s no deleting and logging off after having your private info leaked and everyone knowing your identity. Now with Kazui I love him as a Kazui Stan I think he’s well written but the way some fans treat Hinako and always downplay what she went through. Hinako and Kazui are implied to have been married for a long time not just that but for like ONE OR TWO DECADES. Hinako had every right to feel the way she felt after finding out that everything she’s known about Kazui and their marriage was just a fucking lie and he never loved her in way she loved him.
Tldr: Milgram fandom sucks when it comes to the suicide victims in milgram and often are too lenient on the people who drove them to do it and victimblame them a whole lot.
i agreeeee. as much as i absolutely adore fuuta, mahiru, and kazui, they are in milgram for a reason. i don’t really read people’s takes on characters super often so i am not 100% sure how the fandom perceives the victims (thankfully i haven’t seen much victim blaming in the tumblr community 🤔 i have seen it on pinterest though). i wish they had more info about the victims because i feel like people would have a better grasp of their situations if it wasn’t left to interpretation. and i’m not just saying that because i want more hinako screen time 😭
thankfully i appreciate that the three prisoners are clearly remorseful and recognize that what they did was wrong. it shows that they developed a sound sense of morality at least
yapping incoming 🙏
i think that for some people, it might be hard to empathize with the victims because they don’t understand their perspectives. i think the one that i feel the most strongly about is mahiru’s victim. yes, i guess he could have left her and cut contact, but it’s said in tihtbilwy that they have a “breakup ritual” or something along those lines, so that implies that he has tried. 🙁 i’ve personally been in the same position and i can’t stress how tough it is to leave. it took me years to get out, and sometimes, you feel like there is no way out. from an outsider’s pov it might appear like “well if this person is hurting you so much then just remove them from your life, it’s easy”, and god, i wish it was really that simple, but i don’t want to get too personal… i do know that it’s also implied that her boyfriend was kind of bad too but i can’t really say anything about that until we learn more about him 🫤 either way, it doesn’t excuse emotional abuse
i feel the same about killcherroy too. it wasn’t her fault that she was doxxed. no one deserves that no matter how problematic they are and leaving the internet won’t solve anything. it would be so sad if she had to give it all up just because of malicious people
as for hinako…… my girl…… my love of my life…… she deserved better. she should have married me instead 😔 i would feel so betrayed if i was in her place. it does make me feel sad though because kazui truly never wanted her to die. fuuta and mahiru obviously feel that way too, but kazui was scared of that sort of outcome which is part of the reason he kept lying. (i think? been a minute since i watched the vds 😅 now that i’m thinking about it, it’s possible that i’m playing a mental game of telephone by misremembering how kazui’s words were phrased)
sorry if these are bad takes ougghg i haven’t really taken the time to think about this in depth and my brain is mush 💔 ya girl has been staying up until 8-11 am and waking up at 6 pm these past few days

hi :D for the ask game What do you wish more people understood about kazui? Which trial 2 MV do you enjoy the most, and why?
thank you for the ask i would grovel at ur feet in gratitude i hope the sun shines down and makes the light dance for u and you only today
1. if anything ive seen a few theories of kazui possibly revealing himself to be a two faced manipulator of sorts due to his self proclaimed liarness…. like ‘ohh u cant trust what he says he cld be trying to make himself look pitiable to the audience to get voted inno’ sort of theories which is. no he wont do that???
is he a liar? to a degree yes—liar not in the sense that what he says are direct falsities, but more like hes built much of his character to constantly disguise his true intentions/feelings as a defense mechanism. the lies he says are less of words from a schemer and more of redirections from someone who is, all in all, an insecure adult scared of what will happen if he isnt able to meet peoples expectations of him
as much as he calls himself a liar hes mad honest about where he thinks his capabilities lie, which is to say he doesnt believe in his capabilities at all lol. when amane asks him for help with her studies, he turns her down after some consideration bc he doesnt believe himself to be smart enough to help (despite having graduated from a university; sports degree or not credit shld be given where credit is due). when he talks to shidou post ktk attack, he refuses to admit doing any of the work in taking care of the situation and instead puts all the praise onto shidou. even his physical strength and skill (which is arguably the one part of him he does acknowledge and take some sort of belief in) is something he treats as less of something that he has achieved himself and more of an obligation of his—like, hes strong bc to him he HAS to be, bc it is expected of him to protect those who need protecting. he does want to protect others, sure, but much of that wanting comes frm how ingrained it is in him that thats what hes good for, thats what his strength is for (his timeline w/ yuno on her bday says as much nyway)
the way i see it, that self deprication of his plays back into his obsession with meeting the expectations placed onto him, or at least lessening the disappointment of others by lessening those expectations in the first place. if u tell someone that u didnt go to the right university, that u didnt do much to help anyway, that u were born so fundamentally wrong as a person that everything is bound to go to shit as long as ur there (he basically said this to es in his t1 vd im not even kidding), wouldnt that ensure the safety that youre less likely to ruin someone elses confidence in you? less likely to ruin bc in the small chance that u still fuck up, theres not much left to ruin at that point
in the end ig what i wish more ppl understood abt kazui is that hes a liar yes, but not a manipulator. he lies to stay safe, not to be a sadist or whatever. you cant take what he says at face value (in much the same way u cant do the same for any other prisoner tbh), but that does not mean u shldnt take anything he says srsly at all!!!
2. ok this one i have to give a bit of thought, mostly bc i cant pick just one
if the standards were which t2 mv do i enjoy for its direction music n visual wise, purge march takes the cake so quickly. the music itself is so bomb (which like, i cant even find a logical explanation as to why… its just so good to listen to) n the mv itself does such a great job at creating the right atmosphere, both in its flashy theatrics and the subtle uncanniness under it. mayb i have a slight bias bc tpm was the whole reason i got into milgram in the first place, but i stand by it idccc
aesthetic wise, def all knowing and all agony. the horror elements r genuinely disturbing, but not so overbearing that it overwrites the pop style that milgram has going on. i luove the use of amber for blood, plus the filters that remind me of found footage u usually see show up in asian horror movies. i think i was actually terrified the first time i watched the mv
symbolic wise, its cat always and forever god bless. it takes advantage of its aesthetics to hint at subtle secrets so well that it makes me giddy as hell. the use of colors as a part of the set, the transitions frm scene to scene having its own part in making the story, n honestly making the bg more blank than usual readjusts the focus of the mv on what matters p well. i cant mention every detail rn or else id be here all day
