and then post ssc it’s worse bc lwj just wants to HELP but his version of it is the opposite of what wwx needs. and wwx legitimately can’t accept the help bc it won’t matter! he has no golden core! the one thing that kept society from completely crushing him and it’s gone! and he doesnt regret it but he’s also so tired of never being able to escape it.

then the wen remnants. it begins as a debt but wwx has spent his ENTIRE LIFE teetering on the edge of a life of privilege and one of servitude and has made it his goal to not only be righteous, but help those who need it.

and lwj KNOWS this. he SEES the wen remnants! he meets a-yuan!! he cares!! but he is surrounded by a world that doesnt. i am of the firm belief that even if the sect leaders had known who exactly was in the BM they would Not have cared. jc didnt. nmj probably wouldnt. and lxc is too trusting of jgy and too interested in neutrality until Directly Provoked to consider speaking up.

and lwj is trying to figure out how to help without caging wwx but also he wont listen but also lwj doesnt know why he wont carry a sword but then jzx then nightless city then jyl and then and then and then-

Arguably, lwj biggest character arc is after wwx death. He’s beaten by his sect and unable to even attempt to go to the BM until much later and he finds A-Yuan and he’s put in seclusion and-

He. Understands.

Because, surprisingly, it’s less about wwx but more about realizing that the cultivation world was wrong. His sect was wrong.

And the beautiful thing about wangxian is that theyre so different in so many ways, but fundamentally, they are the same. At the end of the day, they share a soul and not in a cheesy way-in an ‘i understand who you are, maybe i dont know your every thought and feeling but i know YOU. your faults are you just as your strengths are you and i SEE you and thats enough.’

I absolutely loved reading Talk Too Much, there’s something about the trope where Reader is oblivious about the character’s hero status that I really enjoy and you wrote it so well! I was wondering, how did you come up with all of the merch that Midoriya wore throughout the fic?

I LOVE THAT TROPE TOO not to. sing myself praises but. i adore the trope yet i find that i can rarely read it bc i also usually cant stand readers being too much of a dumbass? at a certain point im like ok ur just stupid bye KJHBASDF its a careful tightrope is what i mean, but when i find fics i like that utilize that trope i rlly adore them (pspsps on that note..... if u havent already, check out @andypantsx3's unconventional, its also a deku fic with that trope and she's just announced that the last part is coming over the weekend!) and i figured fuck it, if i want something done a specific way, well, im an author i gotta do it myself LMFAOOO

midoriya's merch was inspired by a number of things! firstly, @ofmermaidstories' deku fic something (just like this) on ao3, where deku's first appearance is in a shouto hoodie like the one described in mine and a froppy hat—a similar meeting where the reader doesnt know he's the Deku! that scene in merm's is inspired in turn by this art by @/min-min-minnie. Aside from the shouto hoodie which connects all three works, the merch i described all came from my lil noggin LMFAO i felt like wearing hero merch in particular would throw anyone off the scent of that-cute-hero-fan-over-there being Deku, Number One Hero; plus its just. adorable as hell and totally in-character bc at his core deku is still the biggest fanboy of all his friends. there r a few obvious choices: headphones for jirou, a fancy watch for momo, umbrella for tsu. i think my choices for those were p obvious! the rest were more standard merch choices (tho the clear umbrella was just bc those r rlly popular in animes and i thought it was funny LMFAO)

the cufflinks came about bc there was originally gonna be a longer scene where he comes in in a suit and the reader has a "oh no hes hot" moment, and then teases him about having to put away the hero merch for a day—only for him to expose himself for having spent a small fortune on a pair of limited edition all might cufflinks that were made wrong (queue the reader going on no hes hot and rich im screwed KJAHBF). i ended up cutting it (tbh i cut a lot from Talk Too Much, bc i wanted to get it out by his birthday and so i ended up breezing over a lot of the cutesy slow burn scenes...... i make up for it in the final scene tho, never said this but that bit where he kneels and then kisses the reader's knee...... still gets me, as arrogant as it sounds 😳 i think its one of the hottest things ive written) but rest assured that still occurred in canon. if u want me to go into detail, i imagined them as being a collab with some luxury company, a limited run with only a few (like fifty or a hundred) made and like fifteen being made incorrectly—they'd have all might's chest design on them, and the incorrectly made ones have the red & blue mixed up. there was a lil story abt how deku hunted for them, found a set with the correct coloring at an online auction and almost got them only to be outbid at the last moment, and then managed to come across a different set with the wrong coloring (the more expensive version, as is usually the case for collectors) at a random thrift shop. and gave the owner the amount he originally bid with, bc hes deku KJAHBSD OK THAT WAS A LOT i promise im done

Theres way too many things I love abt the dark continent but for now I’ll just start w/ like writing down and rambling about this obscure funny little guy named Giuliano.

He’s such a funny character to me- like there are a bunch of random little traits and details that he has that togashi threw in that I go wild over for absolutely 0 reason

like first of all hes weirdly fixated on songs. I think Togashi just wanted to put a character in there that was his outlet for all the random songs he likes. I love the fact that Izunavi literally has to say “Don’t come at me with your song quotes.” and in general he just makes refrences to pop culture- like dragonball for some reason.

Its so funny but also sad that the only reason he reads the book of tyson- and inevitibly puts himself in danger and under the influence of her nen beast- is because she cleverly integrated quotes of songs in there

His hair... its either messy or neat, and this is a trait for NO reason. I absolutely love it. It just adds to him being silly.

like during their ‘rock concert’ i can just imagine him freaking shredding the guitar- and I like to imagine that since Izunavi (before the concert) did not want to sing at all- tried to play the guitar but it sucked, and Giuliano did vice versa for singing and it sounded EVEN WORSE, but thats just a headcanon.

His name is italian. I love when Togashi gives his characters names with pronounciations from other languages or just full on words from other languages. HE NAMES A CHARACTER BILL AND BISCUIT 😭

He’s- in canon- conventionally attractive just because Tyson picks her bodyguards based off of looks- IT SAYS IN HIS WIKI PAGE (and also izunavisHSHA)- “Since Prince Tyson hires her bodyguards based on their looks, Giuliano is probably considered attractive.”

He’s a Hunter? thats kind of a given just bc he has the H on his suit but still. Why did he become a hunter and what is his nen ability/affiliation!? I NEED TO KNOW??

If you read into his character a bit, he actually seems pretty emotionally intelligent aside from the bad alibis lol. He gets a lot more serious in his last appearance (WHIC HMAKES ME WANT TO CRY WITH THE “yes, your highness...” “yes, your highness...” HWHSD) and I appreciate it.

THE SAD THING IS HES PROBABLY GOING TO DIE OR GET FATALLY INJURED TOO

I’m willing to bet that he’s going to break the “taboo” set by the nen beast, which in my opinion would be going against Tyson’s teachings in any way, since he’s shown that he’s contemplated on doing just that by causing some sort of plan against the other princes. It might not be directly trying to kill them, exactly, but this would definitely break it.

Even if he doesnt break this “taboo”, things arent looking so great for him anyways since I recall something said about tysons nen beast that it exchanged aura for happiness, and the amount of aura-happiness exchanged is increased by how much you listen to Tysons teachings... which Giuliano has...

I could definitely see this happening too, just for exposition of each of the Nen beasts. Somebody has to break the taboo, so who else could it be? we already know Giuliano somewhat well, so it’d be more impactful if he was the one to die.

But you know Togashi, he might surprise us and do something different.

I just hope that IZUNAVI DOESNT READ THE FREAKING BOOK and so he can be prepared for what happens, and I don’t doubt he is.

YUKIO MY BELOVED

Yukio was weirdly a lot harder for me to find songs for. For Renzou i have a giant playlist I add to over time, supreme comfort playlist egegegeheh, but Yukio's is a lot shorter for some reason. I guess his vibe is a little difficult to get down but a while scrolling through my main playlist and I think I have a decent few that at least match his character development and plotline.

Pretty self explanatory really, mans was forced to grow up and mature way faster than he shouldve had to, having a high stress job by the age of 13 studying for two meister all while studying to be a normal doctor as well. We just keep getting darker huh, didn't pick very pleasant tunes for this boy did I. A bouncy, happy song about a girl calling a suicide hotline, lovely. But i feel like it describes his mental state pretty well, outside he seems ok. Sure Rin picks up that somethings off, but once Yukio assures him he doesnt really persist above asking him a couple times. But below the facade he's really reaching his breaking point, and I love how this song contrasts those two tones in a scarily natural way. Absolute banger

One of my absolute favourite Gorillaz songs by far. The melody is so gorgeous, melancholic in the best kind of way. For Yukio I feel like it signifies how trapped he feels as Satan's son, he's hit his lowest point and he doesnt know how to start moving back up. But the song also has a hopeful feel to it, as if even though he feels lost, he will get better. In the recent chapters we see a moment of reconciliation between Yukio and the people around him, with Suguro forgiving him and tye two brothers finally getting a chance to to things out. Before everything went to shit lmaoo. But with that i really hope that after all the fighting is done, Yukio will finally get the chance to see how bad things have gotten, and reach out to get better. And this song shows that for me :D

AHHHHHHHHHH THIS IS GOING TO GET SOOOO LONG!!!! i have a different view of the indo fam as a whole. i call them the indo fam but i mean the found family trope!!!! theyre like a group of college students sharing a dorm if that makes sense, since their servant selves are obviously different from their initial myths/human vessels!!!

OK SO. RECENTLY, i have an oomf that found books about arjuna that summarize his exploits in the mahabharata(I DONT HAVE THE STRENGTH TO READ IT ALL IM SO SORRY) and also talk about him in a more philosphical manner such as his states of mind during each event etc and i’ve been meaning to read said book because im genuinely interested in arjuna now!!! and i’d like to know more about this indo prince because from what i’ve seen, he is portrayed in a rather bad light(?) in FGO which i find extremely !!!!!!!!!!! and incrdibley !!!!!!! strange !!!!!!! the mahabharata’s conflicts can be put in a mostly grey area where there’s no good nor bad, its not black and white. so seeing arjuna get bashed because of the way his conflict with karna was written is... hm. let’s say that im REALLY starting to understand arjuna fans that dislike seeing him get mischaracterized so much. OTHER THAN THAT, his design is adorable, his travel outfit is my favourite because he deserves to relax and have some fun!!! fgo making him a chuuni is cute and his VAs little moans are cute cute cute!!!!!!!!!!! ganesha is also a character im deeply interested in but i havent played CCC so i dont know that many details about jinako herself !! my brain goes HMMMMMM it seems lord ganesha is trans in fgo ! (since kama used to be a male god originally as well!!) ganesha uses all pronouns!!! and ganesha is also special to me because they share similar traits with kama when it comes to their characterization AND mischaracterizations. ganesha isnt JUST jinako. theres a part of a god in the servant mix!!! and jinako HERSELF is actually a pretty sad character imo. the whole otaku/neet thing is obviously a facade and her true wish being that she wants to redo her whole life is also proof of how much she hates what shes become, yet at the same time, she doesnt know what else she could do. but anyways, i prefer looking at servants from a lore POV so i think that ganesha should still be considered a god and be adressed as such!! i like seeing people portray ganesha as jinako but i prefer it when a certain lavish more godly side of them is put forward. a side of jinako that managed to move on a little bit if that makes sense ? that got more serious. and became someone else entierly despite sharing similarities. needless to say their bond with karna makes me happy since he shows them respect as you should towards a god!! its a bit different from their bond in CCC... like they matured somewhat!! anyway ganesha is the one who taught everyone else in the indo fam about video games and technology and i will NEVER shut up.

parvati is on a tough spot for me atm. i genuinely love thinking of her as the way the indian goddess herself is portrayed because thats where the fun lies for me in her character. especially when shes involved with other indian servants, thats a given!! i would like to see parvati grow, suffer and heal. because branding her as an “all-knowing mom” is easy, but every single parent makes mistakes if you follow that logic. also, since shes the sakura servant “thats closest to her initial personality”, she’s got some of the most Repulsive fans ive Ever witnessed in fandom spaces and lets say that im trying to work my way out of this hellhole and find things to like about parvati without the fandom’s influence. needless to say, im going to keep looking into her mythos and her lore by myself at my own pace and keep doing my own thing in my little corner.

rama shouldve been a jock. And also if I had to give you a clear cut trope to follow, I absolutely LOVE the enemies-to tentative allies-to lovers trope, in which one party is just working really really hard to get to the lovers part, and the other is working really really hard not to get to the lovers part, but caves later on, bc really the fucker grows on you. [Featuring Klaus as the "high key besotted already pursuing Caroline"-person, and Caroline is the "I am very very annoyed w this wooing, but I am more annoyed this wooing is working"-person. And also, I like my Klaus E V I L, But really really really *soft* for Caroline.]

Also if by tropes you meant settings, Like AU's, literally anything works, I have a personal bias for Crime AU's when it comes to enemies to lovers, and Canon is the ultimate enemies to lovers AU, but honestly you can use which ever one you want, I am not entirely sure myself if I have a specific preference here, AH, Fantasy, Supernatural, Scifi, it's all good.

Ok I LOVE me some Kennett [kol + bonnie] but I also LOVEEE kolenzo [Kol and Enzo], I also am extremely just *heart eyes* at Bonenzo [Bonnie + enzo], but I absolutely DIE for Kennettzo [which is OT3 of Kol Bonnie and Enzo]

Kalijah is also a-ok w me, and I feel like I dont have any other side pairings I'd like die to see I guess. If you choose not to go with these side pairings its perfectly alright.

Ok this I can answer without rambling like an idiot, I love love love love :

Bonnie + Caroline [like i love this so much it physically hurts me, they both deserve so so so much better]

Kol + Caroline [I will literally touch a frog, and I have a phobia of frogs, to have one full conversation w these two idiots]

Enzo + Caroline [Honestly enzoline brotp makes me wanna sob happy tears bc they are so perfect together]

Tropes:

I am totally not fond of the Kill Liz for plot reasons trope, like seriously killing Caroline's mom is not ok w me, but I am totes fine if she's like already dead as part of Caroline's backstory, just don't show me Liz dying in the story as a part of the plot.

Any form of sire-bond-y or like sire-bond adjacent or like any form of deal/bargain/agreement that gives Klaus even a tiniest bit of power over Caroline's free will and choices, is just not for me, like at all, no matter how well it's done, I can't stand it.

not fond of any form of prisoner/hostage tropes, like klaus kidnapping caroline or caroline kidnapping klaus and holding each other hostage and stuff like that.

Death as a plot point doesnt work for me? and really I'd prefer if there were no major character deaths at all.

Friends to lovers trope is not for me, childhood friends to lovers trope is definitely not for me.

I don't like any sort of redemption arc really, anything that starts with Klaus as a “bad” dude and ends with him being a relatively “good” dude is not for me.

Any form of infidelity, like ofc especially in between Klaus and Caroline is just [shudder] hard pass, but like I also hate it when Caroline or Klaus cheat on anybody at all.

Also all the tropes and like themes I'm not comfy w that I mentioned in my original Gift Request still stand.

KC Pairing Pet peeves

ok This I can answer easily bc I have like a FEW,

I hate a woobified Klaus so much, like so much, I hate all TO!Klaus characterizations but this one is the worst, absolutely not here for it, I am not here to feel sorry for this mf I want to feel really deliriously GIDDY at how evil he is and how whipped he is for Caroline, but like concentrating on Klaus's manpain is not something I really wanna read.

Caroline excusing Klaus's bullshit, or like being a push over-y “it's ok, I understand why you did it” person is not for me, bc she never was one to begin w, she never did rationalize or justify Klaus's behaviour, she always held him accountable and told him what a difficult son of a bitch he is every chance she got.

I don't like arcs where Caroline is Klaus's redemption? like Caroline bringing Klaus into the "light" or whatever I am not here for it, like at all, I like Klaus staying evil while being endlessly in love with Caroline, and Caroline being able to be w a man she knows is a selfish evil ruthless grade A asshole, but will literally also choke himself to death for Caroline, cuz the man is whipped as fuck.

I also absolutely am not a fan of arcs where like Caroline remains "pure" or whatever, like that's just not for me, I am totally fine, actually MORE than fine for ruthless Caroline who is willing to do deplorable shit to get to her goal and protect her people, like Caroline being extremely almost evilly pragmatic just gives me a boner, and pretty sure gives Klaus one too. Klaus "protecting" Caroline's so called innocence is uh off putting for me personally. And her remaining this pure white light princess of good and Klaus being attracted to the *good* in her is um, nope.
