It's funny going to therapy for a new issue when you've been going for 6 years for a now stabilized issue. I spent my whole intake appointment being like- here's the whole story of my anxiety issues but I've got it covered actually don't worry about that, do you think I'm just regular burnt out or have I been low key neurodivergent my whole life?

I think I'm just regular burnt out but who knows maybe I'm one of the people contributing to those "why is everybody AHDH/autistic nowadays" articles 🤷🏻‍♀️

#like seriously im like here the time i dropped out of school and had massive dissosiative episodes #heres the time i thought everyone hated me because i couldnt keep my room clean #heres the fact that i used to cry every time i did dishes #but ignore that #im very tired all the time and cant do my chores.#do you think im just burnt out since being a nurse is hard or do you think ive been neurodivergent?#i dont think i am really- at least not adhd autism #i think i just spent my entire life only knowing divergent people so that was the socializing i did #but my partners have both been like #babe you look rough and need help #so i am listening to them

“Floyd, could you sing to me?”

The big brother looked up from where he was tucking the blanket under Branch’s feet. “Sure thing,” he said with a light smile. “What would you like to hear? A lullaby?”

“I don’t know,” Branch mumbled as he nestled his head into the pillow. “You choose.”

Floyd could still see a crease of worry between his baby brother’s brows. He softly brushed a thumb over it in a silent reassurance that everything was going to be okay before he turned around to reach for their dad’s old guitar.

I think Floyd would often sing to Branch to get him to fall asleep, usually the songs and lullabies their parents sang when the older four were still little.

I know in the movie it seemed like they all left right after their fight, but I like to imagine that they just stormed off to cool off and that they actually left in the following days. And that this was the last song Floyd sang for Branch that night. :')
