#the 'time travel' makes no sense when you think on it. What happened to Prime Chakotay? He got killed they showed that.#At the end s1 Janeway finds an 'alternate chakotay in an alternate timeline' and that's the one they go and get #we saw the original get merc'd in the message. That ACTUALLY happened. Lmao.....#They didn't prevent THAT death because they didn't go to THAT Solum with the Infinity and stop it from happening #instead it was 'ALTERNATE #' implying other.#OG Chakotay wasn't taken over by the alternative one either nothing suggests that was the direction for him in s2 #they didn't do anything like 'well you see chakotay because at the end of s2 when we converged timestreams you have merged with your other'#if they did want to recover the original from s1 then keep that clear instead of being convoluted dont use an alternate timeline wtf #instead the plot was focused on gywns stupid fucking paradox plot and her being fixed #chakotay was the one in a paradox too did that not matter nah dw about it he had to die for this outcome or someshit lmao why #In the extended message given to admiral janeway it shows him clearly getting left behind and surrounded. Their tears were something that spiked his nerves, and by God he was going to comfort and calm them down. This was not his intention, and he needed to let them know that.

Once again, the only writing I have to offer is dnd-related, and once again, it's also both angsty and whump-y. This is expanding on a scene that got glossed over in a session MONTHS ago, but uh, anyways, here you go:

If I’d known she’d bring Deadringer into this… I shouldn’t have let you go off to fight someone like him without me.” Once again, Rook was surprised at the weight of the emotion in his mentor’s voice. He wanted to say It’s not your fault. Or maybe, I would have done it anyway, but his mouth wouldn’t cooperate. So instead he just rested his head on Sigmar’s shoulder. The damp chill that had come over him on the way here was getting stronger and he leaned into Sigmar’s warmth. “‘S cold,” he mumbled. Sigmar picked up the pace a bit, a worried edge creeping into his voice. “Come on, come on. Just a little further.” Rook’s eyes were heavy, and his awareness of the world was fading. He heard a door open, was dimly aware of a brightly lit, white-painted room, of being laid down on a bed. He could hear people talking urgently, unfamiliar voices joining Sigmar’s. His muddled mind only caught fragments of their words. “Concussion … Severe blood loss … Not enough…” Multiple sets of hands touched his skin, and the familiar warmth of healing magic (when had being healed become familiar again?, he wondered dimly) flooded his body.

#my writing #dnd writing #oc: Rook #*Liars #morrigan plays dnd #for a bit of context: this was the session where Rook got killed by one of his own party members who was being body-controlled.#but he doesn't know that and no one ever told him.#and he was in pretty rough shape after being revived and the healers were both out of spell slots.#so he stayed in rough shape for a bit and we were still Doing Things so he was just kinda getting worse lmao.#and this took place at the end of the day when we got back to the Winters' mansion and Sigmar was finally able to take Rook to a healer.#but godddd. the ''I would have done it anyway'' and the ''when had being healed become familiar again'' KILL me. MURDER me.#the former bc uh yeah my self-sacrificing idiot bastard who doesn't know how to value himself.#and the latter bc he was on wolf's ship for over two years and never was healed magically during that time.#(and probably got very little if any magical healing while he was hiding in the feywild.) So he got used to healing the ''slow'' way.#and he hadn't been magically healed in a LONG time until the bard healed him. And it's just so fucked for him to have this realization now.#bc it's a hint at the fact that he's gotten attached to the party. that he sees himself as a part of their family #even if he isn't sure he deserves it.

Finished what is possibly the cruelest ending of iwatex, in that it's something that I actively chose and facilitated (rather than absolute cataclysm happening without me realizing)

It gave an early ending. But I predicted that & left a save game slot prior to heading down the path of no return. So I'm gonna go back to it to finish off the route with a Still probably not great but not Nearly so cruel kind of ending. I still have 2 things I want to accomplish with this game, after all. Not Done With It Yet.

#speculation nation #ok im gonna b talking some spoilers in the tags here #so stop reading if u want this stuff to remain a surprise #but. well. it was the disconnecting the array ending. which... i didnt quite register initially that itd be an early ending #i was scared of it happening after Dys became a gardener. bc i was scared of it killing him and Sym outright.#i still betrayed them. but it didnt kill Sym... immediately...#im still kinda reeling over it. i took Sym's immortality away and he wasnt even angry at me.#i learned a lot in this route. saw a lot of different sides to some characters.#primarily Sym and Vace. oh boy was that interesting.#i am. never Ever doing this ending again. never ever ever ever #i dont regret doing it bc ive enjoyed seeing the possibilities and depths to the characters #but. it just feels so scummy.#truly a once and done kinda ending lmao. ha ha. ha..#sometimes to see different sides to characters you have to dance with the devil himself. and BOY did i dance...
