so, it's been a headcanon of mine for a while now that nish is actually a really good artist. like, he wouldn't consider himself an 'artist' and he generally downplays any reactions he gets to his art. it's just like.. a thing he's done since he was able to manuever a marker in sunflower- drawin on the walls and pissin off kazama hahaha. but like, yeah, growing up it was just so casual, he never really thought much about it. he'd draw anything from kiryu, yumi, yuko and kazama to outfits he saw in display windows when he was out and about. he used to just throw away his sketchbooks and notepads when he filled them up until the others (sin kazama) got onto him, trying to make him see the value in his art. around the time he joined the yakuza, he slowed down a bit. really only drawing as a 'party trick' on a little napkin in bars and shit like that.

anyway, i say all that to say, in my ss stuff, it takes place in the "present" whatever that means to the thing i'm writing at the time. and obviously that means it's a 'nishiki lives' au, right? i often point out in that stuff that he has alot of nightmares from that period of his life. so, with the right motivation, i think he picks up drawing again as a form of therapy. he wouldn't see a shrink if you held a gun to his head but, this? it's actually something that works for him and helps him quite literally paint a picture of the things happening in his mind.

ok so I am VERY intrigued by this recommendation, especially since I read 《魔尊也想知道》 by the same author and enjoyed it! for a 沙雕文 it had a lot more fun (meta)narrative-based worldbuilding than I expected, so I'm curious to see what this author will do with a more intensive genre like 无限流

Unpopular opinion maybe but I like Wade with blank white eyes. Sure the brown eyes are cute, but the white, it conveys…things. The eyes are the window to the soul the say and you look at his eyes trying to find his, but you see nothing, just two pearly voids. Does this mean he is soulless and morally corrupt or does this means that his soul, being and morality has been stretched and fucked up so badly and are no longer capable of being easily judged?

Melted skin and empty eyes, a face that’s difficult to recognize as human. This is what they did to him, wanting to take away his humanity from him; this is what they constantly do to him, belittling him dismissing him and cataloguing him as something unworthy; this is what he does to himself, distancing himself from the rest of them because who ‘no one should have to handle that’ and dismissing humanity and the value of life to the point those opinions almost become true.

You look at him, wearing the suit, mask so surprisingly expressive, those white dots conveying so much emotion for some damn reason and you wonder… how it would be… to see what’s behind. So you lift it to find… again the white. But this time those are his actual eyes and it’s like he’s still wearing the mask. Where does the killer end and the man start? You can’t lift his mask and look at his eyes to discover the secrets of his soul. Because with him, you don’t get easy answers.

Hello again! I'm the one that wanted to know if you wanted to learn how to do American burgers! Hopefully this answers your question. I can only answer for the region in which I live, but I do think at least one of these loose patty recipes should give you something close to what you are looking for.

Okay, enough rambling, American burgers. 

The states are huge. We’ve got a lot of backgrounds and different sort of food cultures we’re working with and so even within a fast food chains, no two of anything are the same. That includes burgers. 

There major ways I see it beef patty burgers made around here are:

1: Add egg and breadcrumbs. The breadcrumbs provide seasoning and help make your meat go further, while the eggs act as a good binding agent the are and keep your patty from falling apart. This is very helpful if you wish to do THICKER patties. 

2: Worcestershire sauce. Just add worcestershire sauce to taste. Nothing else. Honestly, this is what I do most often.

3: Brown sugar: Just add brown sugar, to taste. It gives a nice complex flavor and works especially nicely if you are making a spicier burger. 

4: Add another meat. I’ve personally added deer. However, I’ve seen people add pork, specifically bacon. I wouldn’t try any birds, fish, or reptiles, but anything with hooves is a go. Again- this is a very ‘what do you have on hand’ iteration of the recipe but instead of breadcrumbs and eggs, it’s more meat. 

You can absolutely mix and match these methods. I've done venison, bacon, and beef with brown sugar. Very 'ah shit this is freezer-burned to hell what do I do with it?' kinda recipe. Works beautifully if you want to make a burger that will have a spicy element to it, like spicy mayo or hot peppers.

The last thing I’m gonna say is gonna be really weird and I apologize, but really basic food here in the states tastes different than it does abroad. I point specifically to chocolate and butter as my examples. And that’s a thing you don’t think would be different, I know. Like, chocolate is chocolate, butter is butter. I don’t know what to tell you… American chocolate and butter is shit compared to everyone else’s. I have no doubt in my mind the meat is also different just because of how it is raised, prepped, and packaged. 

Also, cheese is hella different and I don’t know why. A lot of people here use something called ‘American Cheese’ (Pasteurized Process American Cheese). It’s… there is no cheese taste I’ve found like it. It’s weird. I love it. I don’t think you’re gonna find it outside of the states. It is, however, the most commonly used cheese here in the US. I have no idea what you could replace that would to get a similar taste. I do apologize that I have insufficient data for a meaningful answer on this one.

Last thing- I’m sure you know this- it’s also true when making a BLT or any meat-based sandwich: take your bread and toast it on the surface where you just cooked your meat. It’ll soak up some of the juices and make it extra good. Also really mixes well with mayo and other condiments. 

Other than that… lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. Usually, a dill or butter pickle is what is used for the quintessential shown-in-the-cartoon US Burger. I couldn’t tell you what type of tomato they use, but whatever it is, don’t bother. Fast food tomatoes in burgers are ass. Do the diner method and go with what is available/what is flavorful and you should be okay. Lettuce- romaine is usually what I find being used.
