Yes, 100%. He will deny it every time but lay on this man’s chest, maybe press a kiss to his jaw, and his chest is going like a fucking engine. He will insist that it’s not a purr, it’s simply a content growl— or perhaps a rumble, at most. He isn’t some measly cat, after all, he is a mighty dragon, the Prime Adeptus—

It’s definitely a purr.

Get him a cat ear hairband. He will give you the most long-suffering, unamused look while he wears them, but he will wear them. Anything for his beloved ♡~

No, unfortunately. You have found no evidence that your stone-faced Yaksha is capable of emitting a purr, or purr-like sound (though certainly not for lacking of trying).

However… there is the matter of whether he is able to trill or coo like a bird, given that is his true nature.

He gets annoyed when you ask him, adamant that is not something he can do, and how dare you even entertain such a notion. Have you no respect for the adepti? Hmph.

…but you swear you’ve heard him chirp when you catch him off guard: kissing him without warning or praising him unabashedly.

It seems this will require further investigation.

Not purring, but whirring!! Got this idea from @seabirdtxt ‘s Glitch in Irminsul fic (it’s SAGAU focused on the diff vers of scara existing at the same time, go read it it’s great) and it just makes so much sense to me.

As a mechanical puppet, and an advanced one at that, Scara has tons of machinery going on inside of him. Though it usually can’t be heard, if you get especially close to his chest— a privilege only reserved for you and maybe Nahida during hugs —you can hear the whirring and clicking of his moving parts inside. It doesn’t sound the same as a purr, not exactly, but it’s pretty damn close.

Most of the time it’s pretty faint, but sometimes Scara might just make it louder— it’s got nothing to do with the way your face lights up or how you smile when you hear it, don’t be stupid.

Of course, the only way he can make the noise louder is by overworking his system, making the parts inside move faster than they’re supposed to. If he does it too much or for too long, well…

You’ll know it’s time to lecture him on taking better care of himself when he starts burning up. Overheating is the first sign he’s about to overload his system and shut down (or from everyone else’s perspective: pass out).

You’re the only one who can make him stupid enough to be willing to break his own mechanisms just to see that adorable ridiculous expression on your face. (He might come back to his senses in a petulant huff if you start calling him a cat, tho)

𝐀𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐎 ᥫ᭡

Sadly, purring is not a feature homunculi come with. But this is Albedo we’re talking about, he can definitely figure it out.

He won’t tell you just what idea you’ve sparked with your question— you always worry when he starts self-experimenting —but it’ll be fine! He takes all the necessary precautions, limits any risk, because there’s always some risk in life, and downs a concoction or two in his quest to see if he can change the makeup of his own body. As an artificial life form, he’s less delicate than an organic one, so he doesn’t need to worry about pesky issues like rearranging his (non-existent) organs in a fatal manner.

And it works! Well, sort of. You come back home to a boyfriend that is fully capable of purring!! And also!! Has, uh, cat ears…

Albedo would consider it a success— he accomplished his goal, even if there were a few side effects. And you get a pretty catboy equipped with the cute, twitching ears and a fuzzy blonde tail; everybody wins! ♡

Of course, there’s always the chance his experiment just turns him into a cat entirely… but it wears off after a day or so, so it’s not the worst thing Albedo’s done to himself.

Either way, congratulations, he can now purr for the next 24 hours. And regardless of his cat-to-boy ratio, he will be expecting pets. Get to it~

𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈 ᥫ᭡

He has bird vocalisations! Except he’s worse at hiding it then Xiao may or may not be. It’s not outright chirping, but it is a cooing trill in the back of his throat, too vibrational to be a regular hum.

It’s the sound he makes when he’s perfectly content, laying in a warm patch of sun on the soft grass, sat atop a roof with alcohol warming his veins, and curled up in your arms, round cheek smushed against your chest. He takes in a deep breath, filling his lungs with your scent, and then releasing it in a sigh, accompanied by the musical tones of his little trill.

He makes shorter ones when he’s pleasantly surprised; when you unexpectedly toss him an apple or pat his head. He’ll grin or lean into the touch and make that sound in his throat. Too quiet to be heard by the people around you over the din of the town, but you’ll hear it. It’s a sound just for you ♡

so, i see all these aus where danny gets help from the justice league for the anti ecto acts, and they're great. but hear me out. ghost king danny. classic setup, acts need to be repealed or war.

so danny goes to the league, of course.

the league of assassins.

Ra's is already familiar with death, and ghosts, and the realms. ya man's had the lazarus pits for centuries, he knows a little bit of what's what. maybe there's already some trade relations going on. more importantly, he has a massive group of hyper competent people who can pull strings in the government very stealthily, and have no outside affiliation or loyalty to that government.

but why not the JL? most of them are based in the USA. they work with the government (danny assumes). surely they are aware of the Acts. surely they would conform to them, enforce them.

so ghost king danny meets with ra's, who gives rancid vibes, but is able to, and wants to, do a smear campaign against the JL. against the USA. to gain favor with the guy who is the king of his most sacred resource, and knowledge about how to use the Pits to gain some basic liminal powers.

danny doesn't like the solution, exactly. but he's king. and this is what will protect his people. this is what will get expedient results. this is what his advisors who will still permit peace will allow.

so danny takes the deal with Ra's.

the initial outrage begins online, perhaps through MikMok. a mega famous influencer is cosplaying as superman, doing a twerking sort of dance to the most current haha funni meme song. the text overlay reads: when the superheroes condone genocide because they aren't human, ANTI-ECTO ACTS (whatever law/section code they were passed in).

it goes viral. and then someone finds the Acts (prodded along by the League) and it goes from a hit sensation online to every. single. news outlet flooding with information (puppeted by the League).

is this real? the Acts are real. but why? if these people(?) don't exist, why the Acts? the outrage. the mass confusion. the conspiracies. the new subgeddits and trending xitter tags. 4kun greentext be me: a ghost, becomes the new thing.

at this point, the GIW are scrambling to keep their involvment on the downlow. there are acts, sure, but they're not enforced :DDDD

vlad is in a similar situation. he cloned a guy. he def experimented on other ghosts to get to that level of knowledge. naturally, this is about when lex luthor gets involved. because, wouldn't you know it, but project CADMUS? yeah. that was a collab with DalvCo. they both wanted non-human clones from green stuff. they got it, and now luthor's sitting on some unpretty information.

he promptly shoves vlad under the bus, which is rapidly becoming less of a bus and more a trainwreck.

the league is surprised this happened, but goes with it.

the US governemnt is still trying to deny, deny, deny.

it's at this point that the JL gets themselves together. they don't know if the papers by Drs fenton are biased, or if ecto entities really are mindless creatures bent on destruction.

constantine says they're biased. green lantern concurs.

they decide to summon an ecto entity and find out what is going on.

danny is pretty stressed. it's a stressful situation. he's on break for the first time since they got a solution to this problem. he's not gonna answer a summoning. he has people to do that for him.

so they don't get the ghost king.

but they do get-

dani. and jazz. at the same time.

maximum possible psychic damage.

in the room at the watchtower is the big 3, green lantern, martian manhunter, flash, constantine, zatanna, raven, and black canary (legends of tomorrow experience? cool headed? there for arrow who is busy?).

dani doesn't like superman. he treats clones badly. jazz doesn't like batman, see Arkham.

dani doesn't know who c, z, raven, or bc are. jazz kinda knows of them, but not well.

so the actual negotiations go down with WW and MM.

they have a lot of questions. dani (abomination form) introduces jazz (basic looking human) as a princess of the realms. jazz says that the Acts are real, the realms want war, go suck a creamsickle (that was dani), they want restitution for the lives lost from the GIW.

then they leave the JL wondering who the GIW are.

someone (LoA) manages to hack the watchtower and post the meeting online as soon as it happens. or maybe they livestreamed it on Switch.

my spamblr, the result of my space buying tumblr in 1999, gains its first sexy women (jazz). jazz/WW fiction springs up on AOL3 overnight.

the GIW goes public. they try to push the envelop of ghosts being non-sentient. they try to use jazz being ambassador for that meeting to help their case. the JL is fighting accuations, but they are being pidgeon holed into siding with the GIW by the media.

it's at this point that things go from trainwreck to airplane runway crash.

dalvco and luthor are in a lawsuit. the usgov is under pressure from everyone. people are calling for impeachment of the president. the GIW is getting raided and having their evil posted online. the drs fentons are absent (in the ghost zone, either being evil or having mimosas with pandora). ra's is trying to use new knowledge of the Pits to reanimate tim's spleen. the JL is under constant fire. everyone who has ever had a malicious opinion about super or meta control is getting new platforms. danny can't use his intimate knowledge of what's going on to write his essays for school.

the world is galvanized. there are calls to action. liminals of Amity Prak come forward. you could be liminal too! the Acts get repealed. the GIW gets cleaned out, all prisoners rescued. the realms get restituition. the meta protection acts get expanded.

people will learn about phantom, the superhero. the dead boy who saved them all when the JL didn't answer amity's calls. the JL comes under more fire. they lose funding, defund the police style. for maximum chaos, this can be when the miraculous ladybug crossover starts.

phantom gets a bajillion features on true crime podcasts. tucker keeps sending links to the episodes to them. sam will never admit it, but she listens to them.

but things will never, ever be the same. arguably it's a bad end. but...

black canary restructures arkham from what jazz said to batman in that meeting. many of the rogues get actual help. the joker is transfered to a supermax. he never escapes again. nightwing takes the discowing costume back up in celebration.

vlad loses the lawsuit, and uses his powers to get one over on luthor, who has a mind control suggestion implanted to (amongst other things) never be able to work on these projects again.

there is greater transparancy in superhero work. this makes some people start social programs for villians who have a point. it works for a few of them. the JL is cleared up to handle more extraterrestriel threats, not leaving the burden on one person alone in the cities. the child sidekicks have less work.

amanda waller is fired. ironically, she had nothing to do with any of this, but people assume that she did. either way, everyone agrees it's deserved.

the league of assassins makes a lot of money. they get hired a lot in turbulent times.

disney, which is utterly unchanged in this dimension, makes a documentary about everything. they get dani in for an interview. it's in very bad taste. there is at least one death pun and CGI'd animal.

Hi, hope you're having a good day!!

A while ago I bought one of your Modnay funny orange stickers! I have it on the back of my phone. It's held up extremely well and I love how it looks, but my favorite part about it is how it's turned out to be an instant giggle switch for my best friend. The first time she saw it I was messing with my phone while we were hanging out, could not understand why she'd started cackling out of the blue until she just yelled "MODNAY???"

She hadn't read your comics before or heard of Susan Taxpayer (she has now!) but Funny Orange was really living up to his name for her. We quickly discovered that any time she saw the sticker she'd just start laughing her ass off about it. So of course I've used this to my advantage. Any time she's stressed or sad I'll just walk over with my phone, show her the sticker and go "Don't be sad!! Modnay!" And every time without fail she loses her shit. It's become a bit of an inside joke between us b/c she's just incapable of stopping herself from laughing any time she sees it. It's great. Worth every penny.

I don't tend to send asks a whole lot so forgive me if this is weirdly worded, but I thought you'd really like hearing this story. I hope it makes you smile as much as Funny Orange has for us :D

Korrasami creators will be able to gift one another with Secret Santa gifts. Whether it be fics, art, videos, animations…the fun’s all there! (It doesn’t have to be holiday-themed! It can be whatever you want :)

The Process:

This Secret Santa exchange will be done through drawnames.com, which is a Secret Santa Name Generator. You’ll need your email for this, and you can message me it directly on Tumblr (I’ll gather everyone’s names up, and put them into the generator when it’s time to draw names.)

The due date to sign up is 11:59 PM Nov 29, 2024 PDT (I’d like everyone to have ample time to do their Secret Santa gifts). :)

Most likely, you’ll need to make an account on drawnames.com (you don’t need to, but it’s recommended.  When you get to writing your Wish List on there, under ‘Hobbies and Interests’, make two different lists: One for ‘Fic Requests’, the other for ‘Art Requests’. Anyways- Moving on to the Fic!!!

Summary: A young fairy prince embarks on a dangerous quest to save his sister from the Dark Overlord of the Dark forest . Once he and the Overlord had finally met, they had a rocky start but as the prince could see through all the darkness, what he saw was something he didn't expect. But after all, good or bad, Things aren't always what they seem.

Prologue:

This is a story about two sides. One of light and One of dark. Both stand beside one another, keeping everything in balance as all things should be. In between each side lies the border forest, where magical flowers bloom. These magical flowers were used to make love potions. Because after all, who doesn't deserve to be in love?

As the sun was shining, the birds were singing, the frogs were (gay) croaking and the water was flowing down the stream. Fairy Prince Smg4 was flying across a field of flowers, collecting petals of all kinds to make a lovely bouquet for his lover, his fiancé, and his partner to rule the kingdom with, Princess Tag6. He was happy, laughing and giggling, he was thinking about her, their wedding, their future together.

He was too distracted collecting petals and daydreaming that he accidentally stumbled into the Border forest where he had an unlucky encounter with the creatures of the Dark Forest. These creatures were seen destroying these strange yellowish flowers. There would be stories about these dangerous flowers, about how they could be used as dangerous weapons, about how it could even destroy an entire biome just by touching it and so on. As he realized what he had just stumbled upon, a petal of that forbidden flower fell onto his hands .

"Primroses?" he shockingly said. His hands were shaking in fear for his own life, his face was full of worry and in his head, he was thinking about everything in his life that had happened until now.

Before he could do anything else one of the strange creatures grabbed him by the arm. As the rest of them gathered to close up on him and take him away, The young prince struggled to release himself from the creatures grasp. Once he finally got loose he flew away, avoiding capture and leaving the yellow petal behind.

Two tall figures stepped out of the shadows and stared at the blue fairy as he flies away, One of them picks up the petal and looked at the other.

"Was he... trying to get a primrose petal?"

"We need to tell HIM" the other replied

"But Belle, you know he'll be mad."

"Then I'll handle it Rob, I will tell him"

"ok if you say so...."

They immediately rushed back to the Dark forest, making their way through all the cobwebs, thorns, fog and different creatures until they reached the Dark castle surrounded by stormy clouds. As the pair make their down the halls and up the stairs as they finally reached the throne room.

"Sir, news from the Border Forest"

Sitting at the head of the throne was the Dark Overlord himself, Smg3. He was patiently waiting to hear the news of what his loyal servants had bring.

"A fairy flew in and almost took a primrose"

"A PRIMROSE?" The Dark Overlord angrily yelled as he stood up from his seat and striked the ground with the force of his staff, leaving a sound of the thud echoing inside the room and across the halls.

"I hate this time of year, Spring. All those stupid little fairies collecting pretty things for their one true love- BLEGH" As he mocked them he turned away from Belle and Rob, who were terrified of he would do.

"Those idiots don't know what their messing with" he quietly said,

then suddenly Smg3 turns back to the pair and gave them a new order.

"Send more creatures to cut down EVERY primrose until there is no more. No primroses, No Special potions. No Special potions, No Lo-"

"DID SOMEBODY SAY LOVE?"

The Dark Overlord got interrupted by a sudden explosion, caused by the shady figure standing outside room.

"Uncle Waluigi, can you PLEASE not disrupt my evil monologues for once???"

"Not right now 3, Ah- Its been so long since we seen love in the Dark Forest, ever since that "Ban on Love" statement you made." He happily smiles as he twists and turns.

Smg3 groans about hearing his Uncle, Then he shouted

"ENOUGH! Leave..... Immediately"

As everyone else heads to the exit Three had one more thing to say to Belle and Rob.

"Make sure you destroy ALL of the Primroses, or I will destroy you." As he said that, the pair turned around and gave him a nervous look, nodding and then running away.

Just before the two could continue any further, they got stopped by Waluigi. Waluigi seemed to come up with a plan to set up his nephew on a date.

"Hey you two, I need your help!!!"

The pair looked at each other nervously and then back at Waluigi to see what he needs.

"So.. You both know how grumpy 3 is and how miserable he made everyone on that ban?"

"Uh yeah sure.." Belle tries to seem interested in this conversation, In order for them to pass.

"I got my nephew the most perfect date and I-" Before Waluigi could say any more, Rob had already pushed him out of the way and urged Belle to hurry up.

"Come on Belle, We've got REAL work to do."

"Right" She then follows Rob as he leads the way, Leaving Waluigi just standing there.

"Honestly they could've just said no... Ah well better get prepared I guess" Waluigi shrugs it off like it never happend and was on his way.

Meanwhile back to Prince Smg4...

As he finally got further away from the Border Forest, He decided it was the best time to rest his wings as he landed on a flower. He lied down flat on the very flower, exhausted from flying too much.

"Man that was the fastest I have ever flied before... Ha..."

He took a few deep breaths as he was trying to regain his composure.

Suddenly He then thought to himself, Why didn't anything bad happen when he touched that petal?

He stared blankly at the sky thinking of why didn't anything explode?

"It supposed to be dangerous, at least that's what we were told...."

Before he could think any further, He heard something familiar.... A beautiful voice, coming from the meadow nearby.

As he gets up and turns around, he sees Tag6.

End of Prologue...

Next Chapter: Only Fools Rush in...

My favorite scene in "The List" is the first prison scene when Scully leaves the shower after being "accosted" and she goes to Mulder and tells him that's he's ready to leave. He looks at her and is immediately attuned to her and that something is wrong and drops what he is doing. He goes almost into protective mode and the next thing we hear from him is going to a prisoner and saying something like my partner told me some info, she's not here but I am, and she says it's a list.

Her tone to Mulder when she tells him that she's ready to leave is like a girlfriend telling her boyfriend that she's done. It's not a partner saying that she is done and has completed her work so she will meet him at the car. It's the tone of I'm done, so you're done, and I need you to come with me because we are both leaving. Woyld she have used the same tone with Skinner?

These little tidbits are what make it very difficult to see their relationship as platonic. Sure, she was shocked but Scully doesn't have a problem with being professional when she has to.

There are ways that the relationship could have been made more platonic. Jerry and Elaine (Seinfeld) were written, and acted, platonic in a very convincing manner. This is where Gillian and David were adding some spicy nuance, maybe it's because they wanted it, to the characters despite what Carter proclaimed or desired.

In short:

Great moment. :DDDD This dynamic could work romantically or not, as long as the two people involved-- coworkers, friends, siblings, parents, etc.-- trusted each other unquestioningly.

This scene is powerful because it establishes two things: that Scully places her faith in Mulder (and her mother) above every other person on the planet (a follow-up to Irresistible; a theme of importance in Wetwired, Memento Mori, Elegy, Redux I - II, etc.); and that Mulder not only trusts and respects her, but that he does so above his own work (his "life", as he states in Never Again.) Scully knows where she is safest, and Mulder proves he is a protector first and investigator second.

Those are my thoughts, anyway~

Ash: Okay so, remember how we said that we're doing family dinner? Well, Jiang Chengs parents graciously invited us but anyway, Mingjue and I met up today after he learned that I'm the girl from theater with Huaisang and we caught up on what's going on in our lives and all that jazz. Well, when it was my turn I had like a whole breakdown about my life, cried, it was nothing and then we talked about our latest shenanigans aaaaaand he decided to host the dinner and judge™ you guys and decide if you can (fake) marry me or not since he was always like a big bro to me until we lost contact and since my family situation is kinda wack anyway, this is great!

I sit in my room. On my bed are chocolates, already halfway eaten and in the background you can hear the quiet singing of Tamino playing soothing my silent cries. Today has been a lot on me and I just want the day to end so I can start fresh once more.

Through the screams of my thoughts I hear the front door opening and closing. Someone must've come home. Hushed voices make their way closer to my room and when I hear the knock I slowly look up with a tear stained face and slightly flushed from the warmth of my room.

"Ash...Ashley? It's Huaisang and A-Cheng. Can we come in? Please?" the quiet voice of Nie Huaisang speaks. Before I can utter a word, the door is being pushed open and I see them both standing in the door frame, their eyes in search of me. When they spot me sitting on the bed, Huaisang lets out a sigh and makes his way over to me, Jiang Cheng following closely but with a slight hesitance.

They find their places next to me. Finally, the words make their way to my mouth and I say "What are you two doing here? I didn't expect any visitors". I try to rub over my face as sneakily as possible while avoiding their gaze. Huaisang slowly puts an arm around me, pulling me into his arms gently. "We came because a birdy told me that you're not feeling well and how could we just let you be miserable by yourself?".

I put my head down, ashamed for them to find me in this vulnerable state. They haven't seen what a mess I can become nor did I want them to see it. " So he told you....I'm sorry, it's nothing you have to worry about" I speak quietly, my voice hoarse from all the crying I've done today. Jiang Cheng awkwardly puts a hand on my thigh and pats it softly, like a reminder that he's also there.

Huaisang smiles softly and shakes his head "No, brother didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. He just said that you looked like you would need company after you told us what has happened today. If he's your big brother, I want to be there for you too. And Jiang Cheng too, even if he is a grumpy cat." The latter grunts at Huaisang's teasing and shakes his head disapprovingly.

"I just didn't want you to be sad all by yourself. It's not right." he tells me firmly and once again, I find myself with tears in my eyes as I slowly lift up my head. "A-Chang, you-" I begin but he interrupts me "Don't make fun of me".

I choke out a small laugh and the tears start to fall without any control. "N-no I...thank you. Thank you both. This means...s-so much to me I-.."

Nie Huaisang presses me closer to himself. A warm body touches mine and suddenly I'm holding Jiang Chengs hand, all while my tears continue to fall down. I look up and into his face. A slight blush appears on his skin and he looks away, embarrassed by the affection showed so openly. "Yeah yeah, whatever.."he mumbles quietly, interlacing our fingers in the process. Despite the tears I smile. The thought that these two came here just because they were worried about me fills my heart with joy and a feeling I can't quite place while my cries continue.

After some time I calm down and clean my nose with a tissue Nie Huaisang hands me. "You guys are so cute..truly, thank you for coming here." I lean into Nie Huaisang and squeeze Jiang Chengs hand once more. "You know you can always count on us.." A-Cheng reminds me and I smile softly. Before I can reply, a sudden wave of tiredness sweeps over me and a big yawn escapes my mouth. Today's rollercoaster ride seems to finally be coming to an end. Huaisang gently pats my back and says " It's probably time to go to sleep huh? What do you say, we stay here tonight so we can make sure you get a good night's rest, hm? "

Stay? I blink my eyes in confusion and look at him: "Do you mean that?". He smiles and nods "Of course, right A-Cheng? Surely you have no problem with that" Jiang Cheng gives a small nod, his eyes softening as he squeezes my hand gently. "Yeah, I don't mind. We can keep you company."

Relief washes over me, knowing I won't be alone tonight. It's times like these where I always wished for someone to keep me company and I'm beyond happy that they are offering it to me. I manage a small, grateful smile. "Thank you. Really, it means a lot."

Huaisang pulls away slightly, just enough to reach for the box of chocolates. "Well, since we're staying, how about we finish these chocolates and then get ready for bed?"

Jiang Cheng raises an eyebrow but doesn't object as Huaisang pops a chocolate into his mouth. I let out a small laugh, the tension easing from my shoulders. "Alright," I say, my voice steadier. "But I get the last one."

Huaisang grins, nodding. "Deal."

The three of us share the remaining chocolates, the quiet sounds from us eating and the music in the background a welcome distraction. As we finish, Huaisang stands up and stretches. "I'll grab some extra blankets and pillows. A-Cheng, can you help set up?"

Jiang Cheng nods, releasing my hand reluctantly. "Yeah, sure."

I watch them move around the room, setting up a makeshift bed on the floor with extra blankets and pillows. Their presence is comforting, their quiet camaraderie a balm to my frayed nerves. When everything is ready, Huaisang turns to me with a gentle smile and reaches out his hand. "Alright, Ashley. Time to get some rest."

I nod, feeling the day's exhaustion catching up to me. I take his hand and move down to the floor where I quickly crawl under the covers, feeling a sense of safety I desperately needed. Jiang Cheng and Huaisang settle on either side of me, creating a protective barrier that solidifies this feeling of security.

"Goodnight," I whisper, my eyes already closing from how tired they are from crying.

"Goodnight," they both reply softly.

For the first time in a while I sleep through the whole night without even waking up once. As I slowly wake up the next morning, I notice some strong arms holding me tightly. It seems that during the night, both Huaisang and A-Cheng started to cuddle me in their sleep. A bright red plush appears on my face but I can't help but smile gently at this situation. I feel warm and secure between them.

As I drift off to sleep once again, I can't help but think of how lucky I am that I have such amazing people in my life, who are willing to drop everything and come to me, just to make sure that I am alright and will remain fine for the reminder of the day.

Halloween Headcanons (Months early lol)

My last post was such a flop I heard the crickets chirping before I even got on tumblr omg

Since nobody is giving me ideas, I'm just gonna do short n sweet headcanons on one (at least) character from each of the fandoms I'm in... Or at least the ones I can remember. Idk why but I can't wait until spooky month so we're doing Halloween-themed HCs!!!!!! I frickin' love the holidays :D

I won't be using images in my post this time just because I'm like half asleep and I need to yap. (I have no energy and I must yap /ref)

First up, Jason Todd! (Batman)

I think he'd avoid dressing up for trick or treating because his fave is Wonder Woman... Bro's not about to traumatize every child that sees him. However, if he is craving candy hard enough, he'd go in a lazier or goofy costume. You know those unicorn onesies? That's for if he isn't in the mood for ghits and shiggles. An inflatable dinosaur costume is his go-to if he's in a better mood.

I bet he'd have everything planned, too. He knows where all the rich people are and which ones give out the full-sized candy bars or any cool light up toys that make little kids jealous because they have no idea where to find them at.

If he were to go trick or treating with anyone, I think it'd probably be the Batfam as a whole (They don't trust him with not stealing some kid's candy bucket).

Next, Touya Todoroki! (MHA)

This is an AU one where he isn't dying because I don't want him to die (Insert sob emoji).

Since Enji himself is in a wheelchair, he isn't able to push Touya around. He was absolutely devastated by that and begged Natsuo and Fuyumi to take their older brother out to trick or treat since Shoto was with his friends.

Touya would either do a costume to heal his inner child or a lazier one that's comfortable and doesn't irritate his skin. Either way, he's demanding that they go to every house around no matter how long it takes. Any time he gets candy he doesn't like, he asks Natsuo to trade with him LOL

At the end of the night, Enji has to lock away the candy so Touya doesn't scarf it all down and get a stomach ache. He does anyway since it was 'hidden' in the same spot it had always been.

Onto Arlan! (HSR)

My boy doesn't get enough love <3

I think his excitement after hearing about Halloween's existence would be enough to convince the spaceship to set up little stalls for him, Asta, MC, and Peppy to run around to collect candy. He and Asta would probably have matching costumes like ketchup and mustard bottles or pb and j or something cute like that. Or it'd be a three-way deal since Asta would dress Peppy up in some cute little costume.

Arlan would definitely sit on the floor with Asta and MC and trade candies so they each get what they wanted. Asta would have some dog treats for Peppy so they weren't left out :)

At the night's end, Arlan would probably be caught falling asleep, still in costume with a half-eaten candy bar in hand.

Now, Bennett! (Genshin Impact)

He, Razor, Chongyun, and XIngqiu would get together and go out trick or treating. He tried to convince Fischl to go with, but she refused, claiming it was far too childish for someone of her status. That meant "Please bring me back some sweets".

He had a bag specifically for Fischl :)

As the night went on, the boys managed to have good luck. Bennett had never been happier since he was internally horrified of ruining the others' night by only getting raisins, toothbrushes, and apples or having someone's bag rip.

All went well and everyone got a pretty good amount of candy. Even Fischl.

Yap session is done! I kinda wanted to do DMCB stuff or Steven Universe stuff, but my creativity juice ran out. I hope y'all liked this one :D I'll probably do another one when it's actually October. (evaporates I FORGOT JJK oh well)

“You sure you got everything? Toothbrush, clothes, all your hair stuff?” You asked Baritone over the phone.

“Yes.” He sighed, getting annoyed. You had asked him plenty of times before, after all. “I’ll be over in a bit. I want to get out of here as soon as possible. Falsetto and Bassdrum are complaining about me leaving them behind.”

You laughed. “Well let them know we’re gonna have lots of fun without them.”

“Oh, I will.” He chuckled. “Alright then, bye. Love you.” You could practically hear his smile from over the phone. And after saying the same thing, you hung up.

You were feeling pretty nervous, and you felt you had every right to. Your boyfriend was sleeping over at your house for the first time. Even though he’s been over countless times before, the fact that he’s staying the night makes things feel that much different for some reason. You’ve lost count of how many times you’d checked if everything was clean enough. Your brain knew it was, and you also knew that Baritone couldn’t care less if one little thing was out of place. But still, you were anxious.

With nothing else to do but wait, you sat down on your couch, and did just that. Scrolling on your phone seemed to do nothing to pass the time. You couldn’t focus on anything long enough to be decently distracted.

But thankfully, Baritone stayed true to his word. Not ten minutes later, you heard a knock at your door. The familiar pattern let you know for sure that it was him. Speed walking to answer it, you’d already forgotten how nervous you were.

“Hey!” You greeted happily after opening the door. You stepped to the side to let him in.

Baritone smiled back gently. He held an overnight bag in on hand. “Hey.” As always, after walking in, he took off his shoes. “Where should I put this?” He asked, referring to his bag.

“Oh, you can put it anywhere. I don’t care.” You smiled.

He hummed, and walked into the living room. After setting his bag down onto the couch, he unzipped it.

“I’m guessing you wanna set up all your stuff first.” You smirked, knowing his routines.

He huffed out a laugh. “Yes. Just to get it out of the way.”

Of course, you let him do as he pleased.

Your bathroom now had many more hair and skin products than before. But you didn’t mind one bit. Even so, you knew better than to complain about Baritone’s beauty routines.

The night was already going great so far. You had ordered takeout from your favorite place, and watched a movie. You picked out a musical to be funny, but Baritone actually really enjoyed it. You should’ve known. He is a music kind of guy, after all.

Now, you both sat on your bed, finishing the last on your nightly routines. Actually, you had finished a while ago. But Baritone took longer due to his beauty routines. He was now getting ready to brush his hair.

“Lemme do it!” You said enthusiastically, holding out your hand to ask for the brush.

“Why?” He questioned, his look a bit too judgy for your liking.

“C’mon, I just wanna brush your cool hair. It’s way better than mine, so I wanna experience it.”

He rolled his eyes, scoffing out a laugh. “Okay then. Experience it.” He said, handing you the brush.

Wasting no time, you got to work. Starting from the ends, you carefully made your way up. You knew you probably didn’t need to be this careful, since it wasn’t tangled or anything. But you’d rather do that than risk being scolded for doing something to Baritone’s precious locks.

It was very enjoyable to brush through the endless strands of cool blue. And Baritone didn’t seem to hate it either, as he remained silent the whole time.

Once you were done, he used a scrunchie to tie his hair into a low ponytail.

“Aww.” You teased. “I didn’t know you do that when you go to bed.”

“It keeps it from getting too tangled in my sleep. It’s a real pain when that happens.” He explained.

“Yeah, I can imagine.” You pulled down the covers of your bed, and got in.

Baritone stood on the other side awkwardly. It was as if he was unsure if he should get in or not.

Worried that he might’ve been uncomfortable, you spoke up. “You’re free to sleep on the couch if you want. You don’t have to sleep next to me.”

“Oh no, that’s fine.” He assured you. “I’ve just never slept next to someone before. Let alone my partner.”

“Oh, yeah. Well there’s a first for everything, I guess.”

A bit reluctantly, he crawled onto the bed, slipping underneath the covers.

“Well, goodnight.” You said.

Right before you reached over to turn your lamp off, Baritone placed a hand of your shoulder. You turned to look at him, and was met with his lips on your cheek.

“Goodnight.” He then fully lied down, turning his back to you.

“Gosh, you little sneak.” You snickered. He chuckled as well, though it was barely audible.

After turning off the light, you lied down as well, and you both went to sleep.

In the middle of the night, and you had woken up needing to go to the bathroom. But as you tried to get up, you felt something stopping you from doing so. When you heard a sleepy groan from above you, you realized that Baritone was behind you.

His arms wrapped fully around your waist, and his head rested on yours. You tried your best not to laugh, nearly failing.

As much as you needed to get up, you figured you could wait a little bit. Besides, you would want to get up in this situation?

-honestly I'm feeling pretty positively! overall

-I'll start with the negative stuff: Rihanna as Smurfette fucking sucks: voice does NOT match AT ALL: like literally fucking awful casting choice there

-don't like the pop music: the smurf song did play briefly but like: smurfs are whimsichal forest critters: smurfs and modern pop music simply doesn't mix. when I think smurfs I hear the opening score from the animated series

-It seems a lot of people have a pretty negative takeaway but it also seems those with a particualrly cynical take are those that never gave a smurf about smurfs in the first place: I mean yeah the takeways are still negative leaning cause when you care so much about something and it enters the mainstream on the silver screen it sucks if the coporations behind it don't let the passionate creatives take the lead.

-honesty just seeing the stylized animation even if it isn't spiderverse levels of expertize is enough to get me hopeful!

-seems to be a reboot of the live action films and I didnt' really vibe the reverse isekai there but whatever

-GOOFY SMURF SPEAK! JOKES WHERE THE ENTIRE JOKE IS WORD REPLACED WITH SMURF!!!! SMURF LANGUAGE MY BELOVEDDD

-actually really digging this animation style! it may not be the most well done take of blending 2d and cgi, but I still heavily appreciate that it is a stylistic approach! and it's no secret that I'm a VERY big fan of saturation!

-all of the other voices sound GREAT!!!!

-the style also is really leaning into the original comic art style which I love!

-plot seems like it will be fairly goofy mayhaps 'juvenile' but like: you think the guy well known for being obsessed with smurfs cares about that?

-I also want to keep in mind that like: it's a trailer: so I don't want to take the worst aspects of the trailer and assume it will be the bulk of the film

-tbh I'm a pretty simple guy: I see a smurf I go :DDDD

Hmm this post got a lil out of hand so here's a read break for anyone who doesn't want to hear me talk for *copies and pastes into google docs to count the words* 800 words about fiction podcasts :DDDD

Sooo! I have not listened to all vampires are gay, but have read the podcast description so I know a little about what you are looking for....

Audio dramas (In order of how similar to AVAG I think they probably are):

Where The Stars Fell is a dark supernatural podcast (I had to stop listening bc it got too dark....) that seems very similar? I don't remember much and didnt listen enough to get a proper feel for it.... check it out and see!!

I listened to a like 20 episodes of Welcome to Night Vale before that one got too dark - but it is very popular on this website and each ep is kinda like a news report. Its set in a weird town where lots of supernatural things happen and almost every conspiracy theory is true there.

The Unseen Podcast has a *very* cool format. Each episode is kinda a monologue from a different person each week. It talks about their individual experiences in a fantasy world and it has SUCH a cool magic system!! Please listen to this/do more research..... I've spent like 45 mins on this post at this point (I haven't written it in order, this is one of the last parts im writing) and I'm tired so can't really explain it properly.... Sorry!!! But I loved the non-dark episodes of that!!! (they had content warnings so I only listened to the ones with reasonable content warnings)

Civilised is an improvised science fiction dark comedy show about a ship stranded on a planet and strange things ensue. I listened to the first few series but then from what I remember it got a little too dark for me. (my threshold is very low fyi). I listened to that one a while ago so don't have much else to say, check out the first few eps if it sounds interesting!!

We Fix Space junk is again a dark comedy sci fi show (also a dystopia kind of) about scavengers in space! Again, listened to it ages ago so I don't remember much....

The amelia project is kind of a surreal (maybe?) show about a company that fakes people's deaths. Each episode is framed as an interveiw. So far it has 72 episodes, and it has just come to the end of the 2nd part of the 5th series! The first series is very much a collection of semi-unrelated stories but the plot begins to unfold in S2, and *lots* of things start to happen in S3 onwards!! My personal favourite!!!

Wooden Overcoats is a comedy podcast about a funeral home run by Rudyard and Antigone Funn, two probably autistic, probably a-spec, characters. Eric Chapman opens another funeral home and its kinda about their rivalry but also how they kinda cant live without each other and if any of that sounds even remotely interesting please please please listen because it is truly hilarious and excellently written and produced!!!!! It is finished with 4 seasons. My other favourite!!!!

Alba Salix is a fantasy show that is very very fun!! Again, I listened to it a while ago so I don't have much to say bc I can't remember, but it has quite a similar feel to BBC Merlin I think? With more fairies and magic though. I remember loving it very much. I should probably relisten soon!! This is from the website:

Forgive Me is a comedy about a father (the religous type, not a parental figure) who runs a church and each episode is framed as a confession in the catholic church. It's not very religous-y and does point out some of the problems with religion etc. Its quite lighthearted from what I remember? The amelia project did a crossover episode with them!

Korrasami Secret Santa 2023!! ;DD!!

Hi, Korrasami fam!! We're back!! ;D!!

We're doing Korrasami Secret Santa for 2023!! (Sike, I did not copy this part from Korrasami Secret Secret 2022, but the rest I will LOOL). 6 years and kicking, babey, let's go ;DD!!

The rules are the same:

Korrasami creators will be able to gift one another with Secret Santa gifts. Whether it be fics, art, videos, animations…the fun’s all there! (It doesn’t have to be holiday-themed! It can be whatever you want :)

The Process:

This Secret Santa exchange will be done through drawnames.com, which is a Secret Santa Name Generator. You’ll need your email for this, and you can message me it directly on Tumblr (I’ll gather everyone’s names up, and put them into the generator when it’s time to draw names.)

The due date to sign up is 11:59 PM Nov 30, 2023 PDT (I’d like everyone to have ample time to do their Secret Santa gifts). :)

Most likely, you’ll need to make an account on drawnames.com (you don’t need to, but it’s recommended.  When you get to writing your Wish List on there, under ‘Hobbies and Interests’, make two different lists: One for ‘Fic Requests’, the other for ‘Art Requests’. If a writer draws your name, you’ll have a suggestion for what you want them to write. If an artist draws your name, they’ll have an idea of what to create! (Also, originally, this project only had fanfic and fanart- but if anyone can contribute any other talents, that’d be swell!)

Example: Fic Request- I want Korra and Asami cuddling at home with a fireplace!

Art Request: I want Korrasami going otter-penguin sledding!

The fic and art requests can be the same, or they can be different. Please limit it to one, or if you can’t choose, then two options. You can also note things that you don’t want (i.e. No smut or NSFW work!). You can be as specific as you wish.

Also, everyone else! We recognize that there may be people in the fandom who don’t create content, but still want to contribute! @lamftw​ came up with these great ideas four years ago, if you’d still like to participate in the Secret Santa. You can:
