there's currently a bug in the big run scoring system. Apparently for *some reason*, for the majority of players, the game supposedly defaults to the old announcement and scoring system, which caused it to skip the end dialogue when the event ended. which also means most people did not get trophies.

Since the bug is having the game use the old scoring distribution, it is treating the current rotation as the "big run results" news rotation (which in my case just resulted in unskippable Normal News) as there is no dialogue for this in the new big run system (since the rewards are supposed to come out right away I think.) People who didn't get their trophy when the event ended; which is most players since this bug is VERY WIDESPREAD, should get their trophies right now.

Except because the reward system is bugged into using the old system, you will not get trophies based on the numbers presented for this Big Run, but instead get them based on *actual percentages* like in past Big Runs. This means that even if you got 135 like the gold threshold was... the ACTUAL gold threshold (top 5%) is 165. So you will likely not get gold unless you scored 165.

I've also seen instances of people STILL not getting a trophy at all. Point is that big run is MEGA BUGGED right now and it's kind of funny. nintendo will likely address and fix this somehow in the coming days.

any evie and keira birthday headcannons from yesterday?

keira got the best birthday present early - filing the adoption and change of name papers for evie just before the wembley match but evie didn't know she and lucy did that

on her actual birthday, it's tradition to have pancakes. evie is friends with everyone, including the chefs so she persuaded them to let her cook pancakes for the whole team for breakfast on keira's birthday. obviously, she didn't make all the pancakes herself just she made a lot of them. they also needed a cake and the chefs helped her make that again while everyone else was in training that morning

she wakes keira up after letting her have a line in with a cup of tea that she made her (in a flask because the chefs didn't trust her not to spill it) and gave her the homemade card that she'd had lotte's help making

her present was a new photo frame that she decorated to replace the one she made years ago that said Kei on it instead of Mama. she only brought one to camp but she also has four others decorated in different ways at home. the one she brought to camp has her favourite photo of the two of them in and she even wrapped it herself. then there was obviously birthday cuddles before evie got too impatient and dragged her mama downstairs so she could make her and everyone else pancakes

I've been watching a lot of Omega Strikers guide videos lately and the one thing all of them have in common is that every single one of them highlights the importance of "just have fun".

That's something people say all the time, about any game. But there was one guide I watched yesterday, and in addition to giving that tip, also mentioned the importance of not being toxic and blaming your losses on your teammates.

This is genuinely the most helpful tip of all time. Like this guide really grilled into me just how horrible having that toxic mentality is. The full first minute of the video was dedicated to that. He also talked about how being toxic and playing w that mentality actively makes you worse at the game, period. Full stop. And he explained the reasoning for that as well.

I've heard this said and yeah I believe it as well, but this was the first time I'd ever had it thoroughly explained to me. It really put things into perspective for me.

Hoping I can improve at both Omega Strikers and Splatoon by keeping this in mind 👍

OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE- I got the unit itself and not one copy of the three-star memo!? I got like, six other three-star memos, two four-star memos ("Reaching Out Towards Our Goal" and "Depart at Morning Glow", so not even particularly stellar ones either,) But.
