the problem with talking about ghostbur's relation to wilbur is that going too far in Either direction muddles the waters.
people like to think of ghostbur as an entirely separate entity from wilbur, where nothing about him informs wilbur as a character. this often comes packed with dehumanization, either of Wilbur (with ghostbur being the Good version of wilbur while wilbur is the bad) or of Ghostbur (why does it matter how anybody treats ghostbur when he isn't Really wilbur).
and it's strange and uncomfortable ! because ghostbur so clearly gives us an insight on wilbur as a person. we learn so much About wilbur Through ghostbur. it's just ! absurd to use one to lessen the other when they're so clearly different views of the same Whole.
but at the same time, I Remember ghostbur begging for personhood. I Remember ghostbur begging to have his feelings taken seriously, to be seen as more than just a joke. I remember ghostbur building tommy a home in logstedsire and mourning when it was lost. I remember him mourning new l'manberg. I remember him wanting to bring wilbur back. I remember how tommy mourned him. built him a grave a Grieved him when nobody else did because they didn't think they had to. why would they, when wilbur was right there in front of them? I remember, I Remember.
and the thing About ghostbur is that I Do think that he is a reflection of wilbur. it's ridiculous to try to say that one doesn't inform us of the other.
but I think about how much of his character is wrapped around this desperate want for Personhood. trying to figure out who he is, to carve a place for himself as the memory of someone who was already gone and yet a fully formed being perfectly capable of feeling emotion.
and I think that, too, is a reflection on wilbur.
ghostbur didn't want to be wilbur because Wilbur didn't want to be wilbur anymore. but wilbur didn't know What to be either. trying to break out of the mold he made for himself and figure out what it means now to live as a Person with agency and feelings that matter.
wilbur didn't kill himself because it was an inevitable part of his story as the villain, he did it because he was sad. learning how to be someone who can admit that was Hard.
he'd cried as the president of l'manberg over the pressure of being responsible for everyone, of not being able to live up to what he thought he had to be. and we learned that from ghostbur.
and like ! it's exactly Because of all of this that I can't find it in me to deny ghostbur his personhood. to look at someone who once begged people to realize that he has feelings that Matter, that the things that happen to him Matter because he has agency, because he's a person, and to say No.
I had a theory, once, that the thing that made ranboo Ranboo is that he was half dead. there was the enderwalk that remembered everything, and there was ranboo who lived as a separate antonymous person. ranboo is, in a way, a reflection of this other person, and yet he's not Lesser as a person either. ranboo being formed around a smaller pool of memories means that he grows Differently from this enderwalk version of himself. his personality shifts, the choices he makes are different, even if fundamentally the building blocks are shared.
I had a theory, then, that the whole point of ranboo dying was to have this enderwalk and our ranboo Fuse. not into the whole person that ranboo was split from, but into the New person that they make together.
and that's how I like to conceptualize wilbur and ghostbur. not two unrelated entities and yet both People in their own right.
moreover, that's exactly what I would've liked for them as well.
#dream smp#wilbur soot#ghostbur#ranboo#enderwalk#suicide mention#meta#ranboo stans gonna be confused until the end here

so many sbi-centric fics were samey as hell. there i said it im sorry. like let me run you down on what all of them were:
tommy [list of middle names thats super long because its totes funny] innit: adhd stereotype chaotic gremlin with a hard time seriously opening up but was also sensitive inside. always references things that became outdated by 2023
wilbur soot: lanky artsy guy who makes random lit and music references that reels tommy in but isn't as srs as techno. maybe some broodiness in there. will randomly drop noodle incidents because the author thought it would be funny. stopped being funny after the 13th "phil wont let me bring x in the house after last time"
technoblade: super serious cool guy who is tough and is also nerdy and nonchalant and nonemotional. all of the previously mentioned traits are really ironic if based off his dsmp character bc it means the author completely missed the point
philza: only there to be a dad to them. does not exist outside of the context of being a dad
(optional) tubbo: tommys best friend and ranboos best friend. unlike phil who has a smidgen of a chance of existing outside of his relationships, tubbo will never be expanded on!
(optional) ranboo: tubbos best friend and tommys best friend. might have a chance of growing unlike tubbo. this chance is still best described as non-significant
and everyone but tommy probably only existed to give tommy growth as a character. maybe wilbur too, but never on his own. always crimeboys. never wilbur-centric sbi fics
okay now we have our characters established our plot goes like this. thing inside brackets are options:
it is a [historical|superheroes|mythology|mafia] au. tommy is [abused by his current family|an orphan] (who might live with tubbo & ranboo if they are here). he meets wilbur who is part of a family with *thunder crackles* a secret (that relates to the au). wilbur introduces him to techno or phil. then conversely tommy gets introduced to the other later on. sbi is formed and they barely have any issues with each other and are basically a perfect family already. if tubbo and ranboo are present, they will somehow not notice that tommy has grown distant from them nor do they mind. tommy has most likely run into something related to the secret before meeting [wilbur|phil|techno] but he is not suspicious of them at all. somehow tommy finds out that the secret is related to the super cool awesome family he was talking to! but hes not upset! so he fully becomes part of sbi. the end
and it would be fine if people did something with the formula. but no. literally everything was centered around tommy and his character. people would only ever do anything to add to tommy, to make him grow
i have run out of beers and fucks so im gonna end this confession now. people will inevitably feel bad about this but like that's not my problem

So I have had this huge doc of theories on GenLoss saved to share for a while. So… here it is!
It’s a bunch of realities, and not necessarily related. We may never see Showfall and the now trapped Ranboo again. That story may be over from our perspective.
(Missing tapes will have a star or a theory)
? ? Us. Tapes? ? ? * TSE Next show? ? ? ?
|_|__|_____|____|_|__|__|________|_______|___|__|
Two of the missing tapes may be our reality and the reality of the person watching the tapes? And perhaps also the next one we’ll watch (like they got it out to play)? Idk about the others though…
Gen zero specific:
Ranboo was under slight control the whole time. JUST enough for him to see what Showfall wanted. And possibly the mask still had a very slight glow? My younger sibling noticed it.
Partway through, on the first whiteboard is “two plus two equals five.” A famous quote from 1984, which is basically about the government controlling the masses, and always figuring out what’s going on. At the end of the book, the MC is captured and tortured until he believes exactly how the government wants, at which point he is still able to be shot/killed at any minute, having outlived his usefulness.
Did Ranboo get captured by an organization that is basically trying to control what everyone sees? The brainwashing he is going through is to make him exactly what they want from EVERYONE.
Ranboo isn’t dead. Much the way none of our other choices mattered, this one didn’t either.
For one thing (that could just be attributed to not wanting to kill Ranboo irl) the spikes were too short to do anything. Even if they had been long enough, that thick, wide shape would be unable to make it far into the head without a ton of force. And if they did, it would need a LOT more blood, as the head would be ripped apart.
For another thing, Showfall has already shown that they can revive characters that are very, VERY dead. Even if we DID kill Ranboo, this season was far too entertaining to simply kill off a character that may generate a ton of income. We have done nothing but add an extra death to the roster.
A theory I just had not pertaining to the final episode alone, but still pertaining to 1984: part of the torture that the MC goes through is simply to force him to betray his most beloved of people (his girlfriend) and live. So in the You or Them puzzle, as well as when we kill Ranboo there at the end, the whole point is to make us loyal to no one but ourselves, because then we can hurt anyone but ourselves. In the book, it turns out that when he betrayed the other person, they came out alive anyway, because the point wasn’t their death, it was simply to break him.
Is it the same for us? Ranboo is still alive, but they are slowly breaking our own free will, making us easily pliable and convinced for whatever their plans are?
This also makes me think that possibly Ranboo himself went through You or Them, because he was able to kill another person if it would save him, which would be imperative to the show actually working, because if the MC sacrificed himself for a background character, it probably wouldn’t have done too well.
Questions I still have:
Are the different Genloss symbols from different realities, and if so then how does Genloss connect across them?
Will every reality have a Showfall/similar big bad? So they all fight against Genloss and the people related to it? Or will there always be someone who seems to represent Genloss? Is that Ranboo in every reality (including the tapes reality and this reality?)
Is Genloss a group connecting realities? How many of Ranboo’s friends in each reality will be part of said group, or how many are just bait/accidentally dragged into it by Ranboo?
Are we a cannonical part of Genloss, perhaps learning how to work for them through seeing other, past fails and wins? Or is it a memorial across realities to a Ranboo that dies/fails every time?
Is Ranboo the founder, and does that mean across realities he FOUNDED Genloss, or perhaps simply because he FOUND the tapes? If it’s only because he found the tapes, then did he pick TSE first because he saw himself when he turned it on?
Is this the only reality with Ranboo, or will there be others?

Fandom Ableism in the MCYT Community
[Edited 14 June 2021]
One thing I’ve noticed about the MCYT (Dream SMP, specifically) community on both Tumblr and Twitter is that when informed of things that are ableist, or harmful to ND people, a lot of people ignore the post/tweet, derail it or actively fight against it.
“I’m ND so I can’t be ableist” is a common statement, which is blatantly untrue. Even I’ve used ableist terms and phrases before, without realising they were harmful. So as a neurodivergent person, with autism, BPD, depression/anxiety, dyslexia, psychosis & brain damage*: here’s some common ableist things both CCs and fandom say almost constantly**.
*note that not every neurodivergent person will agree with me on these, but these are commonly ableist things people have previously talked about online, and/or have been discussed between me and other neurodivergent friends. No minority can ever speak for the entire group.
**note that a lot of these are common outside the MCYT community as well, and that some of these are just considered societally acceptable. This isn’t okay, but it explains why a lot of people don’t recognise jokes or comments like these are wrong, and it means that it’s not a direct moral failing of people that they don’t immediately or directly recognise these comments as wrong.
Now, let’s get into the things you might not have realised are potentially ableist:
1. Use of “Psychopath/Psycho/Sociopath/Schizo” and other demeaning terms for people with mental illnesses as insults, or to describe characters who are considered villainous. Psychopath/Psycho/Sociopath are already terms that people with ASPD dislike using, even not as an insult, but using these terms to describe people or characters who you disagree with or see as villainous only contributes to the villainisation of people with ASPD and other mental illnesses. Using c!Dream as an example: Dream as a character is not confirmed to have any of these mental illnesses. He is, however, commonly labeled as psychotic/psychopathic, incapable of any kind of compassion.
He is also a character that fandom largely insists that nobody is allowed to sympathise with. This is a huge issue, and has hurt a lot of people, especially people with low empathy, or mental illnesses that cause them to relate to some of c!Dream’s actions (e.g. pulling away from all his friends, desperately grasping at straws to gain control of situations etc). Insisting that these characters are characters it’s impossible to sympathise with, all while calling them psychotic/psychopathic/sociopathic, is extremely harmful, and I hope this post draws attention to that.
Here’s another post that talks about that.
2. Use of the term “freak”, in general. As an insult, “freak” has been typically used to insult neurodivergent people, people with visible physical disabilities (ex. “freakshow”, and the term was reportedly created with the intent of insulting people with physical disabilities), or people who display any kind of abnormal/atypical social behaviour/physical aspects — people who are usually ND people who lack a diagnosis or people with physical disabilities. Recent usage has come to mean “people who do things that hurt other people”, but this is harmful as well; using words like “freak” or “weirdo” which mean “socially atypical behaviour” to refer to people who are actually doing things that hurt other people conflates the two, and often has a side effect of hurting disabled people who see it.
3. Calling ND ccs like Technoblade monotone/emotionless. While the term “monotone” isn’t ableist in and of itself, the fact that it’s being used against a neurodivergent man who emotes in a different way to neurotypical people rubs a lot of ND people the wrong way. I’ve partially discussed this here, in a tweet responding to a person who said that c!Technoblade, quote, “has no human capabilities like emotion for example”. This, however, is not something contained to c!Technoblade — one of the most common jokes in this fandom is how rare it is to hear emotion in Technoblade’s voice.
The issue with that is that neurodivergent people almost universally agree that Technoblade emotes perfectly fine, and, in fact, emotes more freely and clearly than a lot of others do. Hence, calling him monotone perpetuates the idea of ND people as emotionless/less able to be hurt/less expressive, which often hurts us. It also contributes to the dehumanisation of ND people — related to how ND symptoms are most often seen in robots or monsters in shows — and is generally extremely harmful, on top of being untrue.
4. Related to point 3: the infantilisation of ND ccs like Tubbo and Dream, usually paired with assigning “caretakers” of their friends, like Tommy and George. This is about the posts that spread like “omg, Tommy helps Tubbo with his dyslexia, that’s so cute” or “omg George is so patient with Dream, I could never sit through that” on videos of Dream vocally stimming because of his ADHD. This is another post that talks about this, but I wanted to talk more about why this is harmful here.
4a) With Tubbo’s dyslexia, from someone with dyslexia, it isn’t harmful to correct his spelling and move on. Personally, I think this is helpful — others will think it’s condescending, because not all ND people are the same — but as the above linked post mentions, this is not what Tubbo’s twitch chat does. This is not what the comments say. It’s all things about how it’s “so cute” that Tubbo can’t spell, how Tommy/Ranboo are “so patient” with correcting him. This is rooted in the need to constantly watch over ND people while acting like we can't live our lives without someone having us under constant vigilance. It feels like savior-complex ableism, like people are trying so hard to not be ableist that they spin back around to hurting us instead. And it feels like we are being treated like children. Like we are lesser than, and need to be monitored/watched over.
4b) Similarly to what people do with Tubbo, the comments on posts about Dream’s vocal stimming are often full of people calling George “patient” for “dealing with it”, or claiming they “wouldn’t be able to handle it”. This is inherently ableist. They’re praising George for basic human decency towards ND people, and claiming in the same breath that they wouldn’t be able to do that themselves. And then there’s these.
These comments infantilise Dream — claiming he “wouldn’t be able to stop/calm down” without George’s help, implying he’d “spiral out of control” or claiming “everyone is now my child”. It’s all related to the infantilisation of ND people, and the belief that without help/a caretaker we cannot take care of ourselves.
5. The way people treat ccs who likely have undiagnosed neurodivergencies, like Wilbur. Wilbur has openly admitted on stream before that his parents considered getting him an autism diagnosis. He also openly admits on stream that he has habits he doesn’t understand why he does, and hyperfixates on things for months at a time and doesn’t know why. Posts like this have gone around Tumblr, in which Wilbur displays blatantly ND traits.
And fandom generally calls him weird for expressing those traits. This video where he talks about eating sand because he likes the texture? That’s an ND trait. This video where he talks about his irrational hatred for anteaters? While mostly a joke, irrational hatred of something when you can’t explain/understand/articulate why is also a common ND trait. He spends 20 minutes during a Philza stream info-dumping about self-sustaining ecosystems (sharing the photo, because I think it’s really cool) and fandom begins calling them “Wilbur’s weird jars”. It’s demeaning to people who infodump, and as a ND person who hyperfixates and infodumps it’s really upsetting to see. It’s also upsetting to see other ND traits being called “weird” or “freaky” & made out to be soley some funny joke for NT people to laugh at us about.
Additionally: It’s strange to me that people think it’s okay to make fun of ND traits just because they know that or perceive that the person they’re making fun of is NT. It’s still making fun of ND traits. It’s still insulting ND people. It’s still ableist as hell. Why is it okay just because the person is NT?
6. Implying that c!Ranboo’s enderwalking is inherently violent. Ranboo has shown us time and time again that the enderwalk state isn’t a violent state. That the enderwalk state isn’t a seperate version of c!Ranboo that does horrific things. Why, then, is it so common to imply that Ranboo would be violent and hurt people why he’s enderwalking?
It comes back to the perception of c!Ranboo as a character with “two halves”, or as a character with DID. Ranboo has made it clear that his character does not have DID, but this headcanon about his character persists, and it persists in a way that is directly harmful to people with DID — and to people who dissociate or sleepwalk. We do not commit horrific acts while we dissociate, while we’re sleepwalking, because the majority of the time we’re just checked out, our body is on autopilot. Insinuating that we do is harmful. Insinuating that Ranboo has “another half” that’s inherently violent or evil is harmful to people with DID. I’m not going to ask you to stop writing these headcanons etc, but please consider the effect you have on people before you do.
7. Related to point 6: the perception of c!Ranboo as “soft” and “cute” and/or perfectly moral because of his canonical anxiety. This is really harmful, and comes once again from the infantilisation of disorders like anxiety and depression. Ranboo has made clear time and time again that his character isn’t moral, and in fact is extremely inconsistent. He’s portrayed his character as inconsistent, as someone who hurts his friends unintentionally and often due to his want to please everyone, and yet he’s constantly seen as “soft/pure/the only moral one” because of his anxiety causing to have repeated and consistent spirals on-screen. These spirals are not healthy. They don’t indicate his “perfect morals” or make him more moral than anyone else on the SMP. Please stop infantilising people with anxiety, it’s really hurtful.
8. Implying that c!Technoblade is inherently a violent person because of his voices. I’ll admit here: my hallucinations are visual. I do not get auditory hallucinations, and I cannot speak for people who do. But many people have spoken out about this, and discussed how talking about Technoblade as an inherently violent character because of his voices is harmful, and a stereotype of people with schizophrenia.
Technoblade’s character is, in and of itself, inherently a stereotype (despite the fact that his chat are more likely to be a supernatural entity than a symptom of a disorder such as schizophrenia) in that the idea of “hearing voices that encourage violence” is a stereotype of people with schizophrenia. As an actual symptom, is a very uncommon one. More common auditory hallucinations for people with schizophrenia or psychosis are, reportedly, whispers or unrelated conversation. One of my friends hears screaming.
But the issue is with the implication that c!Technoblade is “driven to violence” by the voices. Canonically, he has dealt with the “bloodlust” of chat by grinding withers. He’s perfectly capable of being peaceful, even with “voices pushing for violence”, and he’s perfectly capable of being violent without the “voices” influence. It’s the connotations and the history that fandom has in demonising and villainising c!Technoblade for even having the “voices” in the first place, and acting having them makes him inherently violent and unstable. There’s precedent for that already in society, and it’s not okay to perpetuate it.
[Edit: as of 22/05/2021, I do experience auditory hallucinations, and I can confirm that I am not any more violent, and the voices I hear don’t push me to violence. The clearest one just said ‘click’ in my ear.]
9. Jokes about brain damage and the use of “brainrot” as a term. I made a post about how common jokes about brain damage are here, and I would like to reiterate bits of it.
Jokes like these are really really normalized in modern society. I’m sure a lot of you didn’t even register it as wrong, and that isn’t a moral failing! It’s a norm in society, and that means the majority of people arent going to register it as something hurtful, because it’s said so often. But it does still hurt. The idea of using a disability as an insult is really harmful and it feels dehumanizing, like our disability makes us lesser, something that should be laughed at.
“Brainrot” as a term originated in Skyrim, as a disease that literally rotted your brain. However, as a term, it has very similar connotations to “brain damaged” and has been used in similarly joking and insulting ways. It’s something that feels really off to me and other neurodivergent people to see used by neurotypical people. It even sometimes feels uncomfortable when used by neurodivergent people, even if it’s used in positive ways. I know quite a few people who have removed it from their vocab completely because of the connotations, and I have personally done the same. Once again, I am just asking you to please consider your words before you use them.
10. Calling c!Wilbur during his Pogtopia Arc “Vilbur”. Yes, he was a villain. Yes, he hurt people. But c!Wilbur during the Pogtopia Arc only has one major difference from c!Wilbur during the L’Manburg Arc: a visible depiction of mental illness, specifically paranoia and psychosis. Treating him as a seperate person and calling that seperate person “Vilbur” comes across as extremely hurtful, and contributes to the villainisation of mentally ill people. His mental illness does not excuse him from hurting people, but calling c!Wilbur “Vilbur” upsets a lot of us, because wether or not it’s intended, it feels reductive, hurtful, and insulting.
If you got to the end of this post, thank you so much for reading. I hope that this helped you recognise things that you might not have known were ableist, and that you consider what I’ve said here. I also know that I haven’t addressed everything ableist that’s spread through the MCYT fandom community, so if you’re ND and have something you’d like to add, please feel free.

since the staged finale confirmation I've been seeing some people discussing it there and there and most popular conclusions from people who don't like it are: they just don't like it (I can't relate but valid), it created more plot holes (it has been discussed) and it doesn't answer the question why?.
and for what I've seen, a lot of people have this mindset "it doesn't make sense if you connect all the dots about c!dream" and what I want people to understand that we can't connect the dots. there's still too many elements missing. this is how c!dream lore is written. we found out about revived book by the end of season 2. we found out about finale being staged by the end of the season 3. like dreblr or hate dreblr but we, too, spend a lot of our time trying to understand why. the only two things we can say for almost 100% is that the main abstract goal is "big happy family" (said by c!dream) and "server being normal again" (said by c!punz) and also that c!dream has a "any means to an end" mindset. that's it. it's too little to understand what c!dream goal is. here's some biggest mysteries we still are waiting the answer for:
what's the plan
what's c!dream and c!ranboo relation
is c!punz also the antagonist on the server
what is inside the 4 books c!dream gave to c!techno
how and why c!dream is connected with dreamxd
why c!dream put himself into prison
why prison was so inhumane
how does the revive book even work
why did c!boomer's hat suggest that c!dream has some kind of powers
what about his attachments, why did he want his armour back
are dreamons hunters still canon and if so, what's with that
disliking the stages finale is fine, it's subjective feeling, but if you try to look at c!dream and see all the answers you will be disappointed

why mcyttwt does not think some (if not most) of the time when it comes to mcc
if i post this in twitter, i’d surely get hated upon but someones gotta have to say this one day. also this does not target to mcytblr!!! this rant is more of towards mcyttwt!!!
remember how mcyt was so chill before all of this shit? how we would watch our favorite minecraters when the community was so small? or how mcc was an event that both ccs and fans can have some fun and entertainment once per month? and that was only last year too. now look at the new generation of mcyt fans and see why some of the old fans dont really associate the new ones.
as a fan of the old gen mcytbers like DanTDM, SkyDoesMinecraft, Aphmau and CaptainSparklez. heck im a fan of pewds’ minecraft series before dream or tommy or ranboo or the new gen of mcyt ccs blew up (a year before them if im correct), and we dont see drama or bad shit all the time when it comes to their content.
now compare that to the new gen where every single fucking day, a bored fan or anti would post shit drama in twitter where some of the people from twitter moved to tumblr just to not get a headache from the batshit craziness mcyttwt brought forth. and it just snapped more when the mccp21 rolled in.
heres some of my takes about the mccp21 issue:
1) “there’s a lack of representation of lgbtq+ in the teams!!!”
heres something to tell yall about that. scott doesnt have a fucking choice. scott smajor has told time and time again, WEEKS before the announcement of teams, that there are certain requirements and limitations to mccp21 thus there will be difficulty in choosing whos entering or whos not. limitations and requirements such as it will be streamed on youtube or how streamers with twitch contracts aren’t allowed to stream or (god bless scott’s good heart) scott not allowing some of the lgbtq+ streamers in joining the special event due to wanting them to have a chance to stream and experience their first mcc (so to those who said that ranboo should have been in mccp21, shut up ‘cuz scott wanted genderman to have fun streaming his first mcc but cant due to ranboo being a well-known twitch streamer). to those who complained that ant and velvet should be in the mcc, stop being selfish and do some actual research on why scott didn’t include them. a simple question to those two’s fans would answer that they can’t make it due to them camping for a week which within those days is the mccp21. they’re having time to themselves, not wasting it on a minecraft championship.
take in the consideration that, oh i dont know, not a lot of lgbtq+ ccs applied to the event? its not a free invite championship (in fact, mcc has always been like that), it’s an applied with the sufficient and correct requirements kind of event. the artist who created the icons from the previous mcc for the teams said that scott let in some of the new ccs in last minutes due to lack of applicants not meeting the requirements thus not having custom artworks for the teams if they want to announce the teams in time.
2.) “there’s no lesbians or trans in the teams >:(((”
sadly enough, there’s not much of the players from the lgbtq+ community but to say there’s no trans people in mccp21 is utterly false. by definition, trans mean denoting or relating to a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with their birth sex. other genders such as non-binary, genderfluid, androgyne, bigender, gender expansive all fall under trans. you define yourself with the gender you personally chose and comfy with from you birth gender. so saying there’s no trans in the teams when there are players from the event like eret or sqaishey who are nb and genderfluid respectively are there to also represent not only the sexuality but also the gender identity of others??? like c’mon, please make sense mcyttwt.
also, while its sad to not see lesbians, please know that lgbtq+ doesn’t strictly be defined by lesbians. ffs, lgbtq+ literally means Lesbians Gays Bisexuals Transgenders and Questioning (or Queer but im not too sure about that one) which means that there are still other representatives for the community in the event.
3) “technoblade is in the event?!!! WHAT THE FUCK, HES A HOMOPHOBE/LESBIPHOBE-”
utter clowns, toxic twitter users are. do you really think that scott smajor, an openly gay man, would let a supposed “homophobe/lesbiphobe” in an event that focuses in supporting the lgbtq+ community? do you hear yourself? do you even do research where the joke he made was when he was the same age as me and it was based on a historical article back in WW2? or how he passionately supports the community especially the lesbians because a lesbian couple complimented him to which kickstart his confidence? the man willingly went to this mcc event despite being flamed a lot in twitter because he (and everyone) knows that his chat, his fans and supporters, are literal millionaires. if you saw a stream from foolish where he auctioned canonical characters for funs, a techno fan donated thousand of dollars to get technoblade, and that’s only one fan, now imagine a hundreds of thousands of them.
like it or not, technoblade has always been open about his support to the community, especially that majority of his fanbase are from the same community that mcyttwt allegedly swore that technoblade hates.
4) “since this mccp21 is pointless because theres no dteam, quackity, punz or (insert cc name), let’s have a watch party of the previous mccs to spite mccp21!!!” “let’s hope (insert cc name) stream on the 26th so mccp21 doesnt have the same amount of viewership like before!!!” “where are (insert cc name)??? gosh, this mcc is so boring without them!!!”
shut up shut up shut up shut up shut the actual fuck up. are you really seriously hearing yourself? are you willing and proudly boycotting a once in a year special event that is seriously needed by the lgbtq+ community? are you that cruel and selfish to sacrifice a project that helped tons of people just for your sick entertainment and desires? are you that evil to stop others from enjoying and donating to the trevor project? are you that inconsiderate of other ccs that aren’t part of dsmp and calling them boring? and for what? because your favorite cishet streamer isn’t there? oh booofuckinghoo! you’re so fucking petty to even post about this kind of tweets in public.
(edit: did yall honestly thought that without your favorite streamers that the mcc is not worth watching because they aren't there? well let me tell you, im a ranboo fan. ive watched him when he first entered the dsmp and watched him spinning in his unicorn chair for 5 minutes. the boo community waited for so many months for genderman to join mcc yet we didn't even do that kind of disgusting action and behavior every time he isn't in mcc. 8 months. that's how long ive watched him. ive waited 8 months for him to be in the event yet i still watch other povs like tommy's, puffy's, wilbur's, and etc., because it's fun and entertaining to watch them despite the beloved not participating in the games.
if you're that spoiled to not even watch mcc because (insert cc whose not part of mccp21 name here) isn't part of the roster then you most likely have a one dimensional humor because there will always be someone more funny and entertaining than them. i like dsmp don't get me wrong, but i found parrot's school smp funnier than dsmp yet you don't see me insulting both series, do you? learn to keep yourself if you're calling ccs as boring or dull or not entertaining enough due to not having the same big platform as the dsmp members.)
you don’t deserve to call yourself a fan if you’re doing this kinds of actions. in fact, people like you should be kicked out from the mcyt community because your kind of people are the reason why we look so bad from the outside. your toxic and self-entitled to these content creators are the reason why famous ccs like sbi, purpled, tubbo and almost ranboo left twitter/implied strict rules to their subtwts. you drove out an entire friend group that tons of fans found comfort in from the platform and you still have the audacity to this kind of shit? honestly, just leave before you give me a headache.
what im sayin’ is that mcyttwt is one of the worst, if not THE worst, subtwts out of the other subtwts in twitter. having no actual research or evidences or spreading false information is common in twitter where you would have to take what they said with a micro size grain of salt. mcyttwt already ruined the fun and spirit of mcc during its comeback in mcc14 due to the glitch and beta testing shit (ey i still stand for the ranboo beta testing but i know that will be worthless since theres hints of him joining soon in mcc15). if you’re still in mcyttwt, i suggest to get out of there while you still can. we’ll never know if there’s a bigger shitstorm than this in the mcyttwt that may happen in the future.
edit! hi bella again, ive been told by a polite and cool user that not all people from mcyttwt are toxic and/or cruel. im going to clear something up here. ive written this during the heat of the announcement of mccp21 teams. so there's a lot of complains and/or entitled people in the app (you can even see it in my previous post too if you want evidences!) that gave off mostly negative vibes towards the event.
ive seen the cool ones who actually took the consideration for scott's side and the criticism of the lack of representation of other communities within the lgbtq+ umbrella (ive even share some parts of it above so im also a bit upset to the lack of numbers in the community). and some of them are correct about recruiting lgbtq+ creators in youtube but! like i said, it's an applied event and not invitational one, so its up to that content creator if they want to join or not. the amount of cishet in the roster are just those who want to support the cause and/or backups/stand-ins in case scott and noxcrew can't find enough ccs in time!
just wanna clear this up because mcyttwt these days are covered by really cringe fans (ive noticed a pattern of them mostly new ones but there are still awesome new fans (like my irl friend who just joined this year) within the community) that covered the good ones where they enjoy, have fun and share some neat ideas and thoughts to the community within the platform!
when i said to get out of the mcyttwt while you still can, i meant to get out of there to avoid drama (that is really small contrast those who really need to address the issue) and take a break from it. it's still your choice if you want to be surround by it or not or if you want to come back to the app. all im saying is to buckle up for the shitstorm cuz this is not the last time that the twitter side of mcyt will cause negativity to the community.

Voidwalker
The Boatem Hole Boards The Dream Cruise Ship
Ranboo stares at the two fifths of the Boatem Crew in utter confusion, though there is an inkling of hope that he might finally find out what he is exactly. Hope that he might finally get rid of the body dysphoria that comes with not knowing where the hell half of his genes come from for the majority of his life.
“What are you talking about?”
Grian goes to speak, then pauses and scratches his neck as his brown creases to form a pensive frown.
“Um… how to put this… well, alright, first, are you able to read everything that’s written in an enchanting table book?”
“Well, yeah, I am completely fluent in Galactic, if that’s what you’re asking. But that’s something related to my enderman genes, right?”
“No, it’s not. Mumbo has barely noticeable enderman genes, but he couldn’t read it until he managed to split my soul between the two of us.”
Ranboo goes to ask about what happened exactly and why such drastic measures were necessary, but snaps his mouth shut after realizing he probably doesn’t want to open that can of worms. Learning about voidwalkers is his priority right now.
“What does a soul transfer have to do with knowing the Galactic dialect?”
“Oh, well, I know Galactic because I’m a Watcher, even if I’m a rogue one, so I guess the knowledge got transferred to Mumbo along with some of my soul. The rest of Boatem knows the language too. Pearl does because she’s the Moon Goddess, and Impulse is a Warlock so he’s able to understand it because he made a pact with a celestial being from the galactic pantheon of the Nether. The same goes for Scar, who was forced to learn the galactic arts of the Vex Confraternity. A few more Hermits can as well, but we’re really an exception to the rule.”
“So Galactic speech is something that’s also connected to voidwalkers, then?”
“Yup! The voidwalkers are descendants of the Void, the founding entity of the Galactic Pantheon, so they have an innate knowledge of the language. They look the opposite of endermen, which leaves me baffled that we didn’t realize sooner that you had voidwalker genes. Sorry about that.”
Ranboo shifts uncomfortably. “No! It’s fine.”
Grian shakes his head firmly. “It’s not fine. Our admin is a voidwalker, we should’ve figured it out. If we’d realized sooner, we could’ve helped you learn about where you come from months ago. Don’t think we don’t know about how much you’ve been struggling with not knowing where half of your genes come from.”
Ranboo opens his mouth to protest, but soon realizes that Scar is right. He does wish they had realized what he was sooner.
“I guess that I am a bit frustrated about it. It’s just been, like, really hard to deal with all of–this, you know? Not even knowing what you are.”
“We get it, Ranboo, well, sort of.” Ranboo twists around abruptly at the sound of a new voice, relaxing as he sees that it’s just Mumbo. He relaxes even more when Phil closes the distance between them and wraps a wings around his shoulders, the comforting weight unraveling the tension in his shoulders.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, I’ve been dealing with a shapeshifting problem recently, as you probably know. I haven’t been in my own body in months.”
Grian is the next to speak up as his features shift until he’s sideways, literally. Ranboo blinks, squinting as he tries to ignore the headache that’s getting stronger the more he stares at the absolute mindfuck that is Grian’s appearance.
“What the fuck mate?” Yelps Phil, wings tucked tight to his body in a show of utter shock and wariness.
Grian shifts back to his usual self, letting out a trembling breath as he runs a nervous hand through his hair.
“Becoming a Watcher… comes with certain side-effects. I, um. I had to deal with my body constantly changing shape for two years before I got the hang of controlling the shapeshifting abilities that were forced upon me.”

Techno and Dream start a podcast together. Divine intervention occurs.
---
VOD LINKS:
Ponk
Foolish
Technoblade
---
- Ponk commits arson
- Foolish works on Las Nevadas in a Batman skin and gets Slime a slime
- Techno and Dream are together in prison. Techno asks if they ever get fed and Dream tosses him some potatoes that he’s been saving. Sam hasn’t been there in two weeks
- Dream tells Techno they torture him
Techno: “You’re getting tortured?”
Dream: “Yes!”
Techno: “Bro I cannot relate at all. That is a you problem. Maybe I’m just like their favorite prisoner so they don’t do that.”
Dream: “They haven’t even been here since you got in here!”
Techno: “That --that could -- also po-- maybe it’s ‘cause they just know that I’m their favorite prisoner. They don’t even have to check up on me ‘cause I’m just so obedient.”
- Dream walks over to the lava
Dream: “I have been in here! For months!”
Techno: “Oh yeah!”
- Dream tosses a potato in the lava
Dream: “Does this hurt you?”
Techno: “...I mean a little.”
- Dream throws another
Techno: “How many of those do you have to be throwin’ them away, man?”
Dream: (mumbling as he walks back) “O-okay well I don’t have that much [unintelligible].”
- Techno comments on how wasteful the Netherite block floor is. He wonders how long it takes to punch through it
- He asks what Dream does for fun. Dream says nothing now. He tells Techno about how he used to have a clock that he’d throw in the lava to get Sam to visit. Techno thinks it sounds like Dream was vandalizing his own property
Dream: “It was something to do, but now there’s nothing.”
Techno: “Well, at least we can hang out and be friends.”
- He starts going up to Dream and bumping them
Techno: “Friendsss.”
Dream: (walking away) “Personal space!”
Techno: “Frie -- bro what personal space! We’re locked in this tiny room!”
- Techno goes over to the lava wall instead
- Dream spends most of his free time writing his diary. Techno asks if he’s published anything to Wattpad
Dream: “...No...”
Techno: “You hesitated.”
- Techno asks for Dream’s pen name. Dream insists he’s never written on Wattpad
Techno: “So it’s a different website, is what you’re saying.”
- Dream instead wants to focus on getting out of prison. Techno asks for his ideas, but Dream says it should be Techno with the ideas
Techno: “Eh, yeah, I’ll get to it later man.”
- Techno encourages Dream to have a more optimistic outlook. Dream says that at least he’s not been tortured since Techno’s been here
Techno: “You gotta go with the flow!”
- Dream walks over to the lava
Techno: “Not that flow -- not -- not that flow. No -- no, don’t go -- don’t go into that flow!”
- Dream steps into the lava and sets himself on fire, then goes over to the water to extinguish it
Techno: “That’s the better flow right there.”
Dream: “See? It’s -- it’s exhilarating.”
Techno: “That’s just -- I would not recommend that. That is not healthy behavior, alright. I think you should see a psychologist.”
Dream: “WHERE?!”
Techno: “I dunno, what kinda prison is this? They don’t have psychologists?”
Dream: “They don’t have anything! They have torture --”
Techno: “I’m startin’ to think they don’t care about our human rights all that much. You were sayin’ you were getting tortured? Who’s been torturing you?”
Dream: “Quackity!”
Techno: “Yeah, that adds up.”
Dream: “Every day!”
- Dream says that Quackity’s torturing him for the revive book, and Techno asks more about how the revival process works. Dream explains that to revive people, he gets a book and then burns it
- Techno asks if it’s an incantation. After learning what ‘incantation’ means, Dream says it’s something like that. He isn’t sure how Schlatt got it in the first place, but he memorized the book and can recreate it
- Techno suggests Dream give the knowledge to him as insurance, but Dream refuses, as they might go after Techno. Techno asks to see the book, but Dream still doesn’t
Dream: “This is like the house situation all over again.”
Techno: “Oh yeah...well on the bright side, you’re not homeless anymore!”
Dream: “True...this is -- to be fair, I did say I had a giant house. This is pretty giant.”
Techno: “It is filled with redstone! I didn’t think you were telling the truth, but here you are. Here you are...how much is rent to live in this boiling cell every day?”
Dream: “It’s...free.”
Techno: “God, that’s incredible.”
Dream: “Except for I get tortured every day!”
Techno: “Well I mean, California rent prices are basically torture so, you know, you take what you can get man, come on.”
- The subject returns to how they haven’t been visited in two weeks. Dream asks what they’re going to do when they get out, but Techno hasn’t thought that far ahead
- Dream writes in his diary that Techno admitted he has a house
- Dream asks Techno about life. When Techno isn’t in a cell, he usually trains to find new forms of combat to get ahead in the arms race for the fight against government
- He also plays golf
- Techno hasn’t spoken to Tommy, hasn’t seen him. He thinks Tommy stole some things from his house a while ago
- Dream then asks how his horse is doing. Techno tells him about his pet foxes and Steve (who is going to break him out of there any second)
- Dream writes these down in his book because it’s hard for him to remember things
- Dream asks who’s feeding his pets. Techno says that Steve can feed himself and it’ll probably be fine for Carl to find grass
- Techno pronounces it as “gif”
- He asks if Dream would like to start a podcast. The Prison Podcast
- Dream wonders what would happen if he tried to revive someone who wasn’t dead
Dream: “What if I try and revive you? What if it goes wrong?”
Techno: “Maybe there’ll be two of me. And then we can be double friends. Wouldn’t that be nice? Two Technoblades?”
Dream: “Well, doubles the likelihood of me getting out of here, but...”
Techno: “Exactly, exactly. The next time they come to visit us in prison, there’s just gonna like be thirty-five Technoblades. And when they try to torture you, I can be like a human meat shield and just wave after wave of Technoblades swarms them and just beats them up.”
- Techno’s okay with trying it, so Dream writes a book and burns it. When they turn around, though, it’s DreamXD who appears
- Techno remembers XD as the person who broke his table, some sort of god
Techno: “You cloned the wrong person! Dream, you fool! Look at him! ...You know that’s actually something I’ve been meaning to ask you -- how come God looks exactly like you? That feels like a question that should’ve occurred to me earlier.”
- Dream doesn’t answer, confused, but asks what they should do. Techno tries talking to him
DreamXD: what are you doing
Techno: chilling
DreamXD: what do you want summoning me
Techno: yo can you grant a wish
DreamXD: one
Techno: i want a bell
- DreamXD gives them a bell and leaves just in time for the sellout timer to go off. Dream is outraged that Techno would spend their wish on a bell and goes over to stare into the lava while Techno enthusiastically rings it
- Dream wonders what Sam and Quackity will say when they see the bell. They try standing next to each other in front of the bell to block the view
- They can’t summon DreamXD a second time
- They talk a bit more about the books. Dream gives Techno some potatoes (in Techno’s inventory he also has four books by Dream, one of which is titled “information”)
- Dream asks about why Techno rings the bell. Techno says it’s about the rituals, and Dream comments that he put a bell in Church Prime (“which is not to be spoken of here”)
- Techno asks if Dream can even get Twitch Primes and claims that Dream is a heretic due to not being under contract. Dream isn’t profiting off of anyone
- Dream has 51 potatoes remaining
Techno: “So uh...got any friends? Hang out with anybody? You know, before the whole thrown in prison thing?”
Dream: “Not really...I did, and then they...turned against me.”
Techno: “Ah. I know that feeling man, I know that feeling.”
Dream: “Just being betrayed by your closest friends...”
Techno: “Ah yeah, happens all the time. Every Tuesday, really.”
Dream: “I’ve been visited by a few people.”
Techno: “Pog, pog. Did any of them like, not try to torture or kill you?”
Dream: “...Yeah?”
Techno: “He hesitated.”
Dream: “Well...Sapnap didn’t torture and kill me, but then he said if I get out of here, he would.”
Techno: “You GOTTA raise your standards, man. You gotta raise your stand-- you’re just getting treated like dirt out here, man. That is just sad. That is just sad! You gotta meet some new people, man.”
Dream: “I think BadBoyHalo treated me the best, probably.”
Techno: “BadBoyHalo, you say?”
Dream: “He treated me the best, probably, when he visited me before.”
Techno: “Yeah, I’m pretty sure he’s like a cult leader or something, actually, I hate to break it to you.”
Dream: “Wait, what?!”
Techno: “Yeah, there was like this Egg thing...I wasn’t quite clear on what was going on.”
Dream: “That was months ago! He visited me like four months ago, five months ago.”
- Techno talks a bit about how he attacked the Egg cult, “big crossover episode.” Dream asks when was the last time the two of them -- Dream and Techno -- spoke. It was Doomsday, a while ago
- Dream asks about current events, but Techno isn’t the best person to ask about that. Tubbo has a new commune called Snowchester that Techno’s still a bit suspicious of
- Dream asks how Ranboo is. Techno offhandedly mentions that Tubbo might have nukes, maybe as a hobby. Maybe the crater was just Tubbo trying to scare him
- Dream doesn’t know a lot about the outside world. Ranboo used to visit a lot -- the most of everyone until Quackity -- a while ago, but then he stopped. Sapnap, Ranboo, Tommy, Bad and Quackity all visited
- He then comments that Techno seems to like potatoes. Techno asks how Dream knows Ranboo, which Dream says is “a long story.” Then Dream says he doesn’t know Ranboo that well, he just visited a couple times
- Dream asks about the plan to get out again. Techno says that even with the mining fatigue, they can still break blocks. But most of the blocks would set off the alarms, so he suggests the block beneath the toilet
- Even if they break the blocks, there’s an Elder Guardian beneath the cell
Techno: “I can take him...hey, how ‘bout I jump in there, I start beatin’ it up, and if I somehow die despite my elite martial arts prowess, you can just bring me back and I can jump in again and keep beatin’ it up, and then if I die you can just bring me back and I’ll jump in and I’ll keep beatin’ it up.”
- If people come to check on them, one of them can be the lookout
- Techno directs Dream to start punching the block for 24 hours, promising to feed potatoes to him while he punches if he gets hungry
- Dream starts punching
Techno: “What are they gonna do if they catch us, put us in double jail, man?”
- They continue chatting as Dream punches, wondering why the icon for the mining fatigue effect is a spoon. Dream talks about the cat they used to have in there. Eventually the sellout timer goes off again.
Techno starts ringing.

Upcoming events remain the same.

PSA Day! (Rp etiquette)
{ID: A person standing next to a flipchart. They're thin, and have medium-length brown hair, pale skin, and dark brown ears. The ears are angled horizontally. They're wearing thin-rimmed glasses, and their expression reads as confident. Their hair is partially tied up in a bun. They also have a long tail the same brown as their ears, with brown fur the same color as their hair on the end. They're wearing black trousers, a black waistcoat with a white shirt underneath. Additionally, a black overcoat with gold edges is draped over their shoulders. The inner lining of the overcoat is red, and partially visible behind the person. They have their right hand on their hip, and with their left hand, they're holding a stick up to the flipchart, which reads "RP 101 :)". The 101 is underlined. END ID.}
Greetings! You may not recognize me (unless you were watching the debate perhaps, then, sup) as I admit I’ve been a bit…. Behind the scenes as it were (as secretary of VOID there is a lot of looking at the void, usual routine for me mhm mhm). Regardless, I’m Days (or Nights, either or) and for today’s PSA I’m here (along with some words from our recently freed from totally-not-prison president, Graphite, at a later date) to talk to you about roleplay! More specifically, rp etiquette and terms and how that relates to the DSMP and how it should be talked about.
Now now, you might be wondering “oh but what is your experience?” Glad you asked! I’m a long term text rper with over 5 years of experience- and my main avenues of rp are rps similar in structure to that of the DSMP- long term improv driven sandboxes that also have important events planned ahead of time in some regard but are often player driven most of the time. Now, let’s get into it!
Head writers/admins
Let’s start off with a pretty hot topic regarding the server, which is the existence of a ‘head writer’ (usually in reference to Mr. Soot). Now, mainy take this as meaning quite literally a writer- like in a show, but, with what information we have I think it’s safe to say he’s not really that and more along the lines of an rp admin/head. The admin’s main purpose is to keep things structured and organized, as well as putting together the events they’re in charge of. This is pretty much how everyone treats the man anyways, BUT, while an admin is in charge of a lot they do NOT have the final say over everything, particularly in regards to the characters and their players.
Players in an rp for the most part have full control over their characters (within reason and the confines of the rp setting) and an admin enforcing their will onto a character (such as enforcing certain backstory choices that don’t seem particularly wanted. For example, the fridge with c!Phil) is often frowned upon unless there is a good reason for it and discussed with the rper.
It is also notable that just because there is an admin, that doesn’t mean they’re the sole writer/organizer/etc. It is not at all uncommon for specific subplots and or other important events to be headed by players involved in it in this type of rp. This can be seen in practice with how the Eggpire plotline was headed by BBH and the prison plotline was mainly written by Dream and Tommy.
Summary:
- head writer/admins do not and should not control everything
- organise and structure events
- players might admin their own smaller plots within a rp
Narrative consequences
Now, another hot topic- especially in regards to character discourse (my abhorred personally). Narrative consequences. These are generally referred to when someone thinks a character is not getting the consequences for their actions in the story that they should, or (more rarely in my experience) when they feel a character is being punished too hard for their actions. While this is an understandable feeling to have, at the end of the day narrative consequences just aren’t much of a thing in roleplay, at least not to the same extent as a book or tv show.
This is for one simple reason, consequences rely on the character’s actions and how they respond to others around them, if a character does not feel like it’s fit to react or if it angers their character- it is 100% within their right to respond accordingly.
However, there is also an argument that can be made if a character responds to something in a way that doesn’t align with a character’s usual actions. For a personal example, one time in a rp I was playing a character who was intervening when another character was being hurt, however, my character was met with scorn from being somewhat aggressive regarding it- I felt that this was unfair as none of these character showed the same scrutiny to characters who did worse things, and none of these characters had been established as hypocrites.
This grudge lasted the entire rp until my character died. This is a point where believing that the consequences to a character are unjust is more or less fair, but, a character simply not getting immediately smited or a character getting scorn is not automatically a point against the character, especially since an rper cannot reasonably make their fellow rpers react a certain way.
Summary:
- narrative consequences are not the same in RP as in other mediums
- can't force characters to react, or force players to react in a way they don't feel is fit
- but can critique RP if things feel unfairly ooc/inconsistent
Retcons
Next up, retcons. What is a retcon? It’s short for retroactive continuity, in essence it’s when in a piece of media something is changed retroactively- such as a character’s personality, how an event occurred, etc. for an outsider audience perspective retcons are often looked upon unfavorably, as it’s changing something already established which can cause friction among those attached to certain ideas, but in reality retcons are both a neutral concept and fairly normal to occur in rps.
Rps are (generally) not professional writing, they’re things made up on the fly with perhaps a base to work off of (and depending on the rp, not even that. However in the rps I’ve done we generally had character sheets and the like for backstories and all) and thus sometimes mistakes happen. One of the main causes for minor retcons is when details are confused or left out that would have realistically affected the situation or how characters would have responded to it, unless in severe cases these usually happen on the spot and don’t cause much of a fuss.
Major retcons often fall along the lines of players and how they choose to present their character. This is especially common when a player is using a character for the first time or even if they’re just new to an rp in general, sometimes as we rp we simply decide to take things in a new direction and sometimes that direction may cause things already established to be retconned, even if not outright stated.
A good example of this is the enderwalk with c!Ranboo, the enderwalk as it was first introduced is very different than it is portrayed now, likely as a result of Ranboo taking a new direction with his character since then. More widespread retcons may happen if people are unhappy with a certain plot thread, in this case an example would be the canon status of SBI, Wilbur used to push it but Techno (and later Phil) didn’t want it to be canon, so anything about it previously said has been soundly retconned.
In my own case character retcons very often happen to me when I first use an oc, as the character takes a different shape than what I put on the paper in practice, even sometimes within the same rp (one of my first ocs was practically unrecognizable as the same character in the beginning of an rp as compared to even just a few weeks later).
So, retcons are fine and normal to occur, but, like I said- they’re neutral. A retcon can very well be done poorly and cause problems. This is mainly in issue with retcons made that affect highly established and built upon aspects without discussion with all those who’d be effected, this can cause confusion, plot holes and cause characters to be in a weird limbo if they don’t know how to have their character act without whatever was retconned. Major retcons need to be discussed in order to prevent these problems, and in some cases should be avoided entirely- instead it being better to work for a compromise and rework events rather than removing them.
Summary:
- retcons are normal and neutral
- small retcons happened frequently in RP to help keep things going in an improv heavy medium. Usually unnoticeable
- large retcons tend to have with new players, or if the story is taking a new direction.
- large retcons require a lot of communication, and sometimes whould be avoided, instead working to compromise and rework the direction of the RP
Metagaming and godmodding
Metagaming and godmodding are two very important terms to know for rp etiquette and if you’ve done any rping you’ve probably seen these words thrown around in rules lists and such already. These are both ultimately negative things that should be avoided at all costs. What are they? Metagaming is when you use information that you know OOC and use it IC even though your character should not have that information. Godmodding is when a character is taken over by another person for one reason or another against the player’s will- such as having a character react to something without letting the actual rper do it.
The former is a big issue when it comes to discussion of the DSMP and how people interact with it, mainly in the chat and donos. When you are trying to get a character to react to information that they shouldn’t have you are trying to get them to metagame, which is heavily frowned upon in an RP. This is also important to note in discussion, a character not responding to certain important events is not a mark against them if the character has no way of even knowing what was going on, or would not reasonably respond to it with the information they have.
Summary:
- both frowned upon
- god modding is taking over someone elses character
- metagaming is using out of character information to do in character acting
- Meta gaming is relevant to DSMP particular in how it relates to donos and chats. Don't encourage meta-gaming
All of these factors are important to consider when discussing the DSMP and it’s narrative, it’s not going to function the same as other forms of media nor should it- as once you go in that direction you’re competing with the big boys over at tv and at that point things would fall apart. Improv and it’s unique variables is what makes the DSMP, and anything else like it, special and interesting to follow!

DSMP & The Blackout Club [a multiplayer game] crossover.
Tommy, Tubbo, Ranboo, Purpled and Drista all live in L'manburg, a large, yet calm, town.
Tommy lives with his dads, Sam & Ponk, brothers, Quackity & George, and sister, Hannah.
Tubbo lives with his father, Phil, and his brother, Wilbur.
Ranboo lives with Techno, they're not related, more like mentor and student.
Purpled lives with his older brother, Punz.
Drista lives with her dad, Puffy, her brother, Foolish, and her cousins, Foolish JR and Finley.
Lately the kids have been noticing something... odd happening to the adults. None of them really know exactly what, until Tommy catches George talking to someone named 'Dream', so like any good detectives Tommy and his friends make up whole stories about Dream, how he's Puffy's second son, a simp for george, and best friends with Sapnap, Punz and Wilbur.
It was all fun and games, until one day Purpled doesn't show up to a meeting. A little concerning, but maybe he's just a bit busy. Two days pass before Tubbo also doesn't show up, which gets the others worried.
The next day Tubbo and Purpled show up again, only Purpled seems more jumpy, haunted almost. Tubbo explains that Purpled had a run in with Dream. Apparently Dream wasn't just a random person they made stories about, Dream is a shapeless being that comes out at night, one that you can only see with your eyes closed, and somehow takes control of all the adults in L'manburg, and now that Dream has all the adults, Dream's trying to get the childeren into the cult as well.
Tommy, Drista, Ranboo, Tubbo and purpled decide that a squad of kids are a perfect way to save L'manburg from Dream.
Ooooo, this seems really cool actually!!!
Awesomefamily!!
Them making up stories about Dream is fun. I imagine it’s quite the shock to see their silly stories being such a contrast.
Okay, so, does his control wane in the day? Or has he somehow managed to get complete control over them no matter the time? Because the latter could mean they’re trying to prove in, like in the game, or would we diverging from that? Maybe it’s night time all the time, or something?
So Purpled doesn’t show up because he met Dream, why did Tubbo go temporarily missing too? Did he have a similar run-in? Or did something else happen?
The kids could probably steal their gear from their family-maybe they all find some different weapons around their homes too, for various reasons. Cutlass in Puffy’s house, or something, a heirloom from a pirate ancestor. Sam could do some metalworking, or something, and have a trident? And so on. Maybe they even swap them among themselves, just so Drista can get her trident/Fork. Or we just give her an actual fork, whatever works.
What about other lore aspects from the game? The Voices and all. Would Dream be using the adults to try and catch the kids? I can see that being angsty, but also like ‘finally, an excuse to beat up my sibling for (random slight)’.
Hm, what else?
Any special roles beyond our favorite group? Anyone who stands out for one reason or another?

A Sympathetic Character is Better than a Morally Just Character
part of this was drafted from a month or so ago but i’ve been thinking about it so i’m going to finish it now and post it on this blog instead of the og ranboocore blog haha!
i would really wish this fandom would understand though that,
a morally good, righteous, upstanding character =/= a GOOD character like yes. they are morally good. but that does not inherently make them the better written, more satisfying character. like i enjoy characters like dream, ranboo, technoblade, wilbur, quackity, and sam (my favorites especially are dream and ranboo) because they have depth. they are multifaceted and have internal conflict and clear character flaws.
sam is actually a good example of a character being righteous and that being a flaw. BECAUSE of his values, tommy died on his hands. because he adheres to laws, he has internal conflict as the world has shown him that maybe he was wrong. maybe it is not good to be so righteous.
i see a lot of posts like condemning characters for their actions and i get so utterly confused because thats the point. like yes. they did the bad thing. yes. you’re right that is bad. but like... can you analyze it? can you break down the character motivations, that characters reasoning behind it, is it relatable? is it sympathetic? is it compelling to you?
if it’s not why are you here. because these ARE sympathetic characters. they make mistakes and it is clear that the mistakes they made ARE INDEED MISTAKES. because that is human. and we can relate. “dreams not sympathetic, he’s evil” immmmm SORRY are you telling me that if you were repeatedly told that you were an awful person, that you were toxic, that you were the bad one EVEN THOUGH YOU WEREN’T, you wouldn’t get frustrated? you wouldn’t get upset and maybe act drastically? you wouldn’t lash out?
“i wouldn’t manipulate someone and blow up a country.” no shit! i wouldn’t either! but i would get angry! i would get mad and upset and i might say something mean or out of line or like make a mistake and start a fight. the beauty of writing is that we can exaggerate things to extremes. this raises the stakes and makes the actions so much more meaningful, but because we at our core can relate to similar actions and the line of logic, it makes it moving. it makes it sympathetic and relatable. like? no obviously, i don’t condone abuse or like manipulating someone. but i can understand and relate to the idea of “the ends justify the means.” which is the type of character dream is. in his head, the ends will justify the means.
so i need you to understand that a SYMPATHETIC character is better than JUST a MORALLY RIGHT character. ESPECIALLY in the dream smp. this is the narrative where EVERYONE is their OWN MAIN CHARACTER. and the main character NEEDS to be sympathetic. the villain doesn’t necessarily, though a sympathetic villain is always so much better than a flat, 2D villain, but the protagonist NEEDS to be sympathetic. and by sympathetic i mean like... can i follow their line of logic? can i understand this character? like maybe i personally wouldn’t do the things they’ve done, but can i understand why they’ve done what they have? am i rooting for this character because i can relate and sympathize with them?
this is SO important in writing. it GIVES characters depth. it makes them feel real, and not just like... a 2d caricature of something. thats part of WHY i love ranboos character and WHY he is very obviously a fan favorite. ranboo, hands down, undoubtedly, PUTS THE WORK IN. his character is deeply flawed and for that extremely relatable. ranboo makes SURE that there is subtext there for you to understand it. the way his character rationalizes things is such a good testament to him providing subtext, but it’s definitely not the ONLY way he provides subtext. he doesn’t TELL you that his character has anxiety (in lore i mean out of lore he’s said it plenty of times) BUT HE SHOWS THAT.
his character catastrophizes, his character is pessimistic at times, his character is worried pretty frequently, he displays signs of paranoia among like... so many other characteristics that are clear results of anxiety or just SHOW his anxiety. he doesn’t just SAY that flat out, but he shows it in the way he talks, the way he thinks, his actions. like YES. yes ranboo IS a hypocrite but you can understand WHY he is a hypocrite. it’s because, ironically enough, his character VALUES being morally correct. ranboos morals are important to himself and he CANNOT conceptualize being the morally wrong one. and that’s SHOWN in the way he rationalizes his acts of hypocrisy. he excuses himself because he doesn’t want to be the one thats wrong, and it’s clear that that is a character flaw of his.
it’s intended that you pick up that ranboo is wrong, but he is excusing himself and trying to rationalize that he’s not the wrong one because thats one of his character motivations. whenever ranboo monologues and its him rationalizing, it is clearly him CONVINCING himself that he hasn’t done anything bad. he KNOWS he has done the wrong thing, but he DOESN’T WANT TO ADMIT IT.
his character HAS depth. his character feels REAL.
there are plenty of characters you can break down in this way, and i know people are aware of it because i’ve seen posts about how tubbo provides subtext through largely his actions rather than monologuing (which is a pretty good way to get across inner thought in this medium). i think that ranboo’s character is amongst the ones display depth the best because he very clearly does dedicate himself to his character and his narrative. he provides subtext and small mannerisms and goes through a monologue fairly realistically i feel where he’s working himself through a situation.
there’s also sam, who i’m VERY excited for more lore from, because he’s had a fall from grace. this is such an extraordinarily human thing that i think so many people can relate to and i think it makes him such a driving character. like no, i’m not gonna torture someone, but because i can and have fallen from grace before, i’m inherently intrigued by his story. how did he get here? and what was he thinking and where did the lines begin to break down for him? also he’s just kinda ahhah hah hah whus poppin babeyyyyyy but thats irrelevant
other characters i can think of off the top of my head are quackity, technoblade, wilbur, and tubbo but im sure there are other streamers im missing simply because i don’t watch them enough? i feel like niki’s character probably has depth it’s just that i don’t follow her character arc enough, so i wouldn’t actually know.
either way though, these characters all have depth because they’ve dealt with their issues in interesting, pressing, and ultimately human ways to their barest degrees because like i said the beauty of writing is that we can exaggerate these feelings to their extremes, but... ultimately we still experience these feelings.
like no i wouldnt do any of the shit these characters have done, but i can follow their line of reasoning and i can relate deeply to all of these issues.
and i think that’s what we really should be discussing rather than morality on the matter of like “good character” or “bad character” because i see that happen so frequently. like, in enjoying a character you’re not justifying their actions and if someone assumes that then... they should really go back to english class. that’s not how human nature works, and it’s not how literature works.
a good character is someone i can relate to and understand. including a villain.
TLDR; a sympathetic character is far more enjoyable and better than a morally just character. sympathetic characters are undeniably good characters because they are inherently characters you root for or simply just enjoy more. morally just characters, while they can be sympathetic, aren’t inherently good because being morally just isn’t inherently relatable. a good character is one that has depth.

Somethings We Need To Realise
(Tagged as Critical to be safe)
That’s rather alarmist isn’t it? But it brings the point across. There are a few things that the Fans of the DreamSMP Fandom needs to realize as we move forward.
Number 1. Wilbur coming back won’t cause the end of the world, but it also won’t fix things completely. Wilbur is a great story teller, but he is human and managing a large cast of people, each improving at a million different times. The snippets and spontaneous bits of unplanned lore is wonderful from a viewer standpoint, but an organizational nightmare from a writing side. He also has been out for a season, and like every fan knows, it is very difficult to keep track of lore if you don’t watch everything in a timely manner. So him being back will be great for the next season (s), but he isn’t a magical god that can retcon everything perfectly and make the billions of narratives tie up neatly so everyone is happy. Our expectations can be high, but they must be reasonable.
Number 2. This has gotten better in recent weeks, but in the DreamSMP, there is no main character. Now the argument of the plot being focused on Tommy, therefore he is the main character is a valid one. Tommy does have the most lore around him, and his decisions seemingly hold the most weight. But that’s because people follow him. That’s how a lot of people were introduced into the lore, and many don’t want to expand into other points of view (which is perfectly valid). Another thing to keep in mind with Tommy is that he only streams during lore bits these days, and it’s evident when he has no other lore planned for that day. His side is simple, and doesn’t take that much time to go through. Tommy is a main character, in the same way Bad is a main character. In the same way Puffy is a main character. In the same way that Jack Manifold is a main character. In the same way that anyone that streams any ounce of Lore is a main character. Due to the nature of the DreamSMP and Twitch, every point of view is different and important for each story that the respective content creator is developing. Admittedly, some people are not in the “Main Plot” as in the overarching theme/story of this arc. For example, L’Manburg or The Crimson/Egg. That doesn't make their story any less interesting or important, as is evident with the Crimson/Egg. It was a side thing that people wrote off until they couldn’t any more. A similar thing happened with Ranboo’s earlier lore. Ranboo has been dropping lore bits since he started on the server, it just wasn’t important enough until he did a big dramatic scene.
Number 3. This one relates to Number 2 quite well. Tommy isn’t why your favorite content creator is being ignored in the lore they do. That is the fans, and Tommy just has more of them. He is not pushing other people down, he is not taking the spotlight from them. Not on purpose. I will admit I want to see more Niki, Eret, and the others in this immersive lore. I want everyone to shut up and listen to them for once. I want their stories to be resolved. I want to see Niki mourn, angry, shout to heard, be vengeful. I want to see the world deal with a woman that has nothing left. I want to see Niki heal, and grow. I’m not validating her vengefulness towards Tommy, I’m not saying it’s right. He doesn’t deserve it admittedly, but he is not exempt from the pain he has caused quite a few people because he has been hurt and changed. In the same regard, I want to see Eret apologizing to Tommy. I want to see Eret be desperate for redemption and I want to see Tommy forgive him, but never forget. I want Eret forgiven. This may be mean, but you as the viewer need to hype your streamer up. You need to let people know on Twitter, Tumblr, TikTok, Pinterest,* that they are doing interesting lore. People will not be able to enjoy it or give it the importance and praise they deserve if they do not know it exists. Heck, I wouldn’t have known about Foolish’s cool lore if I hadn’t seen it here.
However, this comes with a disclaimer. Which Twitch Streamer you watch and enjoy is a fickle thing. If you can’t stand how a streamer speaks, how they play, how they speak to chat, that is okay. Unless they are being mean or crude online, or are hating on people for liking that streamer, it’s fine. It’s not a personal offense. If someone doesn’t want to sit through their streams to catch bits of lore or don’t even like the story or the presentation of the story that is being told, they are no less of a fan than anyone else. IF they only watch Tommy, that is okay.
Number 4. If a Twitch Streamer doesn’t do lore, do not spam them to be involved. If they do not show interest in it, do not tell them what is going on. Sometimes, it’s even part of the story that they are left out.
Number 5. Please, Please, Please take care of yourself. Lore moves fast and slow and fast and slow. It never stops. It’s rare that when you watch everyone there is a break in the story. Take a few days, take a few breaths. Do your homework (as I type this instead of an essay). Wait for a clip channel, wait for someone to post timestamps or summaries. Your mental health is more important than anything else, especially our lore bois. This side of Tumblr, from what I’ve seen, is more than happy to catch people up or educate people on things that they may have missed. So just post a question, reply, or reblog if you are confused. VODs are always there as well.
Please if you have anymore, reblog/reply and add on! I want to see what others feel as well.
I’m always up for a good debate as well (as long as it’s reasonable and not just hate)
*DO NOT GO INTO TWITCH CHATS AND ADVERTISE THAT OTHER STREAMERS ARE DOING LORE.

GhostBoo? yeah...don't like him
hello fellow Beeduo enjoyers, endermen simps and bee protectors! I am here to deliver you guys a theory...well, i think is more of a essay, where i'm expressing my own thoughts on GhostBoo and what might happen to our platonic husbands now that Tubbo is going through his grief arc while being haunted by his late husband.
A disclaimer tho, i don't want to come across as stating that this is a fact, these are merely my own thoughts on the whole thing and i wanted to share it. Also is worth mention that some stuff i say might not correlate with the actual lore, as i'm using the wiki as my source instead of watching the whole thing, mostly because i am busy with other minecraft related shit.
Anyway, hope you enjoy it and have a nice day
This all popped in my head after recently seeing a fanart of c!Tubbo telling GhostBoo that "you're not him" and i would argue that...he's not wrong about that, maybe partially, but he's still in the right with that sentiment.
Sure, Ghostboo seems happy about not having so many worries and even calling his alive self to be annoying.
But arguably I feel like Ghostboo is not just the ghost of Ranboo, and the wiki says that he's Ranboo's mind while his soul is hanging out in limbo, thus Boo acts more on the logical side, but that's not who the Ranboo Tubbo knew was, at least not JUST what he was.
I feel like Ghostboo is also a representation of a side of Ranboo and Ran himself killed in his brain a long time ago, before the lore in the SMP began, a part of him that went against his old morale, helping everyone regardless of the side they choose.
Maybe this part of him chose a side that benefitted only himself and would later lead to people getting the consequences of his actions, maybe it has to do with that palace that is linked to time travel, as I am a subscriber on the theory that prior to the SMP Ranboo was a time traveler, and whatever happened in that mansion, made him either realize that choosing to benefit only himself when others got hurt was a bad decision OR that no matter which side he picked, people would end up getting hurt or would start Hating him.
Another thing that calls my attention is the dance and sing thing that could lead to Ghostboo stop existing, but I argue that this is merely Boo making up a excuse so that he doesn't act on something linked to a emotion, cause if he did, the soul would find the mind and thus old Ranboo would be back, and according to Boo, he dislikes his alive self, which I think Links to the fact that he's the mind of Ranboo, not only he acts more logically, he carries on the memories of his insecurities and inner thoughts, and by that I mean old Ranboo ALWAYS HELD THESE THOUGHTS, but now that he's dead, his mind sees no need to hide it, so he says it without a care.
In a way, Ghostboo is choosing to help others...but by doing something that only benefits him, cause Tubbo is still dealing with grief, and his presence isn't making things better, not to mention that he gave the house that was going to be for his family, and oh yeah, GhostBoo's reaction gave me the vibe that he thought his poor son had died but decided not to show emotion, cause again, Old Ranboo being back is not something Boo wants.
Now we got all of that out of the way, i want to share my personal scenario on what might happen once Ranboo comes back (he might stay a ghost forever but let's pretend that he might).
For starters, i think there are three key factors that might lead to Ranboo coming back, the first is obviously Michael, for obvious reasons.
The second one, also for obvious reasons, is Tubbo, who might confront Ghostboo at some point and a argument will ensue, and Ghostboo will pull his logic and say that they technically they didn't have a wedding, his proposal to Tubbo was dictated by the flip of a coin, and one of the few hings that Tubbo said when they got married was that he could be adulterous, Tubbo might argue that it was a joke but Ghostboo does not have his funny bone and reminds him that the basis of the usion is for tax purposes, so by all accounts he could get what he wanted, but Tubbo reminds him that he never did anything of that sort and tells him that he did it for Ran and Michael, whom Ghostboo has been ignoring, and finally Boo snaps and says that once he got to limbo he was convinced Sam killed him and only came to the house to leave a flower where his room was as a tribute, Ghostboo realizes that he just displayed anger and runs off.
And the final piece of the pouzzle, the guy that at first i thought that was their adoptive son, Tommy.
I can see Tommy going to Tubbo to comfort him, maybe he heard about the argument or he's just there because Ghsotboo was there now, and he ends up being there for a while longer, getting his own room in Ranboo's old house and taking care of Michael while Tubbo goes out in his Giref arc, one time when he goes out, he sees ghostboo in the distance looking at the house but runs once he sees that Tommy saw him.
Tommy ends up chasing him with Michael, and once they find him, Tommy tells Ghostboo he wasn't welcomed there, Ghostboo says he knows, cause he stole Tubbo, didn't name his kid after him and he was a complete jerk to Tubbo, but Tommy says that yes he did all of that but also he's letting Tubbo get away wirh some shitty stuff, Ghsotboo, hesitantly asks what happens and Tommy spills the beans on the giraf arc and Tubbo slowly getting off the rails, but he doesn't need punishment, he needs help, and finally Ghostboo decides to let the emotions go and chooses to go with Tommy and Michael to see Tubbo.
DRAMATIC SEQUENCE OF TUBBO AND RANBOO SINGING AND DANCING AND GHOSTBOO FANDES
But not to worry, in good old minecraft fashion, Ranboo, not Ghostboo, RANBOO, appears in his house, in his bed, and greets Tommy, Tubbo and Michael, the becnhtrio gets their happy ending.

i wrote a little something
(pls reblog or whatever i haven't written in so long; also based on this)
c!ranboo: are you human?
c!slime: it depends, what does it mean to be human
c!ranboo: i don't know
c!slime: me neither
Tubbo went downstairs after putting Micheal to bed. He found Ranboo standing there, nervously playing with his hands.
Tubbo smiled. "What are you doing here so late?"
"Tubbo? What does it mean to be human?"
"What?"
"I couldn't sleep because of this stupid question just not leaving my thoughts. Sorry."
"It's fine. To be human is to be at the center of our own universe, to experience life in all its colours and potential."
"Oh. Okay. Thank you."
-
According to Tommy, they were collecting resources but to Ranboo it just felt like an excuse to go flower picking with a friend.
A question still rotated in the back of Ranboo's head.
"Hey, Tommy?"
"What's up?"
"What does it mean to be human?"
"I don't know. You just relate to characteristics of humankind like the human body and show the better qualities of humankind, such as kindness."
-
He asked more people this question. Waiting for an answer that would satisfy him.
-
"What does it mean to be human to you, Wilbur?"
"To have the ability to communicate systematically using words, symbols, body gestures/posture, and facial expressions. They are only human and therefore mistakes do happen too."
-
He heard voices outside. It was late night, who possibly- And he recognized one of the voices. Phil. The other was unknown to Ranboo. So he got up and went outside to look but Phil was on his own. Ranboo didn’t question it, people can be weird sometimes and it was too late to think about anything complicated in this life.
"Phil? Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, mate. Go ahead."
"What does it mean to be human?"
"For me, being human is to become individuals in the process of making our own life in what each one of us wants to be in the future.
-
One time he even met Karl while walking around L'Manhole. They didn't know each other well which is why Ranboo believed he could get a pleasing answer.
"Hey, Karl. How's it going, man?"
"Oh, hello,Ran-” he counted on his fingers “-I mean Ranboo."
"Can I ask you something?"
"Uh huh. Depends if I can answer it." Karl seemed distracted, sunk in his own plague of thoughts.
"Well, it's just. I've been wondering what it means to be human?"
"To think about thinking, to ponder on the past, present, and future."
-
Ranboo made his way to Las Nevadas. The sun was setting and the temperature mild. He tried to spot his friend, Slime. Interesting guy, sort of reminds him of Ghostbur.
Slime was just sitting in a hole. Yeah, pretty much in character.
"Friend," a wide smile drew across his face. "Dap me up."
And so Ranboo greeted him, giving Slime a cookie right afterwards.
A sudden wave of energy and excitement told Ranboo, he had to get to the point. "I have an answer to your question. ...I think."
"What question, brother slime?"
"Just- Listen. Making our own decisions and bearing the consequences of them. Live the joys of life and feel the tragedy of mistakes we made. That's what it means to be human."

one big happy family: a dream smp character analysis
in trying to make sense of what humanity dream could possibly have and/or express, i immediately began to think about dream’s relationships
of these relationships, his relationship with ranboo is one that is muddled in mystery, though its mystery seems to slowly be more revealed the more we learn about ranboo’s enderwalk state
for distinction, i will refer to the ranboo we have been following as “streamboo” and the ranboo in enderwalking state as “enderboo”; when i say “ranboo” i am referring to the whole person
according to cc!ranboo, ranboo’s memory loss problems are not inherent and that something caused it. based on what and how streamboo remembers things, my theory is that something happened to ranboo that made his memory functions change into the way it is now, existing in two different states. they function identically and reason identically, it’s just that what one state can remember, the other cannot, and vise versa. this is how our ranboo started out upon arrival.
what i believe happened is that enderboo was the first of the two states to discover streamboo and what he’s been up to. perhaps his first attempt at contacting him was through the memory book, but decided against it, hence the [REDACTED] of Page 6. this also implies that enderboo know about his other state far longer than streamboo
enderboo’s memories are different, and i think it’s obvious that enderboo’s first friendship was with dream. enderboo functions no differently than streamboo, so it’s easy to assume he pledged loyalty and friendship to dream right away, quick to understand and support dream’s plans and intentions. this is why dream took the blame for the community house, why dream trusted him with one of the discs, and why dream called him a “friend” and “servant” in the prison stream (which i’m inclined to believe is both true and untrue depending on which elements we’re discussing). it can even be argued that enderboo’s friendly relations with dream enabled dream to go as far as he did as to get imprisoned. enderboo’s relationship with dream could be comparable to streamboo’s other meaningful relationships with tommy, tubbo, phil, and techno (and at some point, fundy).
if enderboo knew about streamboo and his intentions for a while, why didn’t he try to reach out to him earlier? i’m guessing he underestimated the possible power streamboo had in being tied to so many enemies and pawns of dream. he has just as much access to streamboo’s memory books as streamboo does, getting good ideas about streamboo’s relationships. enderboo has memory book 4, as we know. i mention this because i’m inclined to believe that memory book 4 is as old as the first one, just better hidden because he felt that streamboo didn’t need to know about him at the time.
more theories about enderboo is that he may be the state of ranboo most like what ranboo was like before incurring memory loss. evidences of this would be:
being more in-touch with the enderman half moreso than streamboo, via speaking in ender and disappearing so mysteriously it could be interpreted as teleportation
having more agency over the body.
a display of stronger backbone, opinions, and knowledge through obvious friendship with dream
proof of the second one? the dream voice + mellohi thing during the 20th of january stream + the :) trigger established through the one initially erased in the memory book, in the “Thanks :)” note, and through dream’s prison message. the dream voice was his first direct attempt to talk to streamboo, as it was through here that he communicated what he did and knew to streamboo, who as we know didn’t deal with this well. i think enderboo decided to talk to streamboo then because they came to a point of differing intentions. support dream or fight against him? you’d think that by knowing about streamboo more he’d understand streamboo’s point of view, but seems like he knows something that’s keeping him firm in his opinions instead of adopting streamboo’s. in fact, it seems like he’s trying to get streamboo to think like him. i mean, ranboo and dream want the same thing, so it’s no wonder they’d get along so well. enderboo knows streamboo is literally him and is struggling to get streamboo to reframe his perspective to one that helps and supports dream.
enderboo, based on this, is proof that dream is still capable of changing, arguably.
we know that streamboo made deliberate choices to avoid, repress, or ignore enderboo’s calls. he just wants peace. it only took a direct attack from the egg for him to be forced to recognize what enderboo was saying and doing. the egg has seen enderboo, and so have its servants (bad saw enderboo place a block on one of the vines and ant saw enderboo communicate in ender), hence its knowledge about ranboo that streamboo has been trying to repress. the crimson is making streamboo come to terms with enderboo so it would be easier to get him on its side. it did not hesistate to use enderboo’s connections with dream to guilt streamboo into submission.
point is, when the two states accept each other, we could only hope ranboo will not only provide the desire server peace, but help reform dream into being better, if it’s even possible. mizu is so damn obvious, but it could changed, if altered correctly.
