#cant believe they will just say yeah they have all these very strict rules and structures that dictates pretty much all life in orzammar #(and even outside of orzammar!)#and then didnt even think through how that would affect society and life and everything let alone give us more info on it #lay rambles #literally even the 'children take on the caste of their same sex parent' which comparatively comes up very early and very frequently #and is a pretty damn significant part of how orzammar is structured!#is very obviously not thought through #because that would have a huge impact on the balance of sexes in different houses and on caste and family relations #among other things #or how orzammar is desperate for children and yet if a child is born casteless the casteless status is still more important #the combination of how important social standing is but also they cant let casteless die out because they are integral to how orzammar func #*functions #in general the role of the casteless is so juicy and interesting honestly #or say. how does a society that puts so much value in reproduction treat those who cannot reproduce #and how does all of that affect gender #is there a separate role/gender/whatever for people who cant have children?#would they be ostracised because of it or maybe even held in high regard bc they are the ones who can do The Dangerous Jobs #like joining the forces who protect the thaig against darkspawn or mine lyrium without having to risk loss of fertility?#(but would then ofc be *expected* to take on those jobs)#would it make women be held in higher regard and men more expendable?#imagine if houses had matriarchs who have a lot of social influence and power regardless of their actual rank within the house #because they successfully produced and raised a lot of children #but yeah idk i'm just rambling now lol #dragon age dwarves are cool i wish bioware wouldn't forget them all the time. is what i'm saying

My favourite teleporting effect is when they just bleed into reality like this, like a water droplet that gathers up and falls and splashes away to reveal a character that definitely wasn’t in this dimension before. It’s so pretty every time. 10/10 better than yonic murder portals.

Question: What do you think happens in the timeline where Dome is alive? Especially to Korn and Tonkla's relationship.

I'm starting to have suspicions that some of you would like a fic or two from me, because how else would you expect me to answer this ask besides a whole ass essay of at least 1k words in length? (I'm joking anon, I love the ask. I'm just saying lol.) This question has been haunting me for a while. From the moment I saw Dome talking to his brother on the phone while on the taxi, in fact. Hearing him talk to Tonkla, apologizing that he didn't ask him to pick him up from the hospital, Tonkla apparently nagging him about his health, all of it just made me wonder: What the fuck happens in the timeline Dome survives? I don't have many thoughts about it yet, but one key element mentioned in the scene between Dome and nurse Bee is "the case", for which Bee wishes Dome good luck. It makes me wonder if Dome pressed charges against Title for doing everything he did to him and what that would entail. Let's not forget, in Great's idealized timeline, Title's girlfriend also pressed charges against him for basically kidnapping her. So that's one aspect of that timeline. What else? We were never shown this for obvious reasons, but I'd love it if Great had created a memory in his mind of meeting Tonkla at the hospital as he visits Dome. Great surely remembers Tonkla's face - he never wore a mask to hide it when he shot him - and it'd play nicely as a manifestation of his guilt for assisting Title kill Dome. So one thing that could happen in the timeline Dome survives is Tonkla and Great meeting at the hospital. In regards to KornTonkla... it's tricky. I don't know if they'd continue to be how they were in Episode 1, because Korn taking over the illegal business is still a thing in both timelines, so he'd still not talk or visit Tonkla for weeks. On the other hand, I'm thinking that Dome wouldn't accuse Great of doing anything bad to him. We can't trust what we saw in Great's timeline because from his perspective, he either didn't actively do Dome harm or he saved him from Title, but I still don't see Dome going to Tonkla like "Hey, phi, this guy assisted in me getting my ass beat and almost dying." Tonkla would find out what happened though. I trust my boy to not just accept the incident and move on. He's dealt with too much shit in his life for that. Maybe, he finds out Great was involved, and maybe he tells Korn about it or maybe he ends up finding out Great is Korn's brother via IG like he did in Episode 7, and he confronts Korn about it after the weeks of silence. Maybe this results in a big fight. Just maybe. Oh and if Dome presses charges against Title, maybe this is how Tonkla meets Win. And maybe the weeks of silence plus the fight push Tonkla to chase after Win. I don't know, maybe. It's possible. Either way, as much as Great would like it to be otherwise, the effects of what actually happened would bleed through his idealized reality in which he did everything right. And that's why I love this show so much.

#I don't think I expressed my thoughts in the way I wanted but those are some of the events I believe could be plausible here #the “Dome is alive” timeline is SO JUICY for Tonkla and Korn and Win and even Dome himself #like where does it go from here?
