I’m left with two questions.
Why did they show Dome in the taxi going home to see Tonkla after Great saved him while he was in his 4 minutes?
And how did the woman (who Great killed in the hit and run) doing the ritual affect the story? What was she trying to accomplish? It didn’t look like final rites for her son or anything like that to me.

Why do you think Dome was recording Title's fight with his girlfriend in the first place? And after all we know now, what happened to the girl, did anyone look into into? What about her friend who was questioned by the police? So many questions...
Hmm, I don't know if this is me giving too much credit to something Sammon used as a device to advance the plot, but Dome's action speaks volumes about his upbringing to me.
Dome grew up in an abusive household. He has surely witnessed acts on violence enacted on his mother, for whom we don't know anything about, and on his brother, proof being Tonkla's face during the first flashback with the cat burial. Even the cat being killed by his father (presumably) is an act of violence, a horrid one at that.
(He may have also been a victim of such violence himself. It's surely not out of the question.)
This kind of environment shapes you. It changes your perspective and it makes you stay alert throughout all your life. Dome probably knows what it's like to be abused and being unable to do anything about it, so when he saw Title abusing his girlfriend, he needed the proof to help her.
It could have been something he's done before as well to protect himself and his brother from their father, or something he thought of doing after doing research etc. Either way, it makes complete sense to me.
Unfortunately, since Great didn't actually help Title's girlfriend, we have no idea what happened to her. For all we know she's still stuck in Title's house.
We do have many questions still, and I hope the next 2 episodes will be able to help us understand the plot more.

And this answered so many questions for me, in his fantasy timeline, when he saves Dome from Title, and Dome is in the hospital without any identity or anything. There is no real information on him because Great does not know him, that's why when he is released from the hospital we never see him again, because Great does not know his life like that.
He also gets in a physical fight with Title, is this something he has always wanted to do, hate bubbling in him for being friends with Title.
And the lady that he hit with his car, did she really want to kill herself? or was that a story he made up to absolve himself?
His death is different too, in the og timeline, he is shot by Tonkla, in his fantasy timeline, he dies trying to protect his mother, who dies anyway. His og death is anti-climatic - in the elevator, alone in the dark and a random stranger killing him, in his fantasy death, he is in the light, not alone and he is somewhat of a hero and the target is not him(why is he fantasizing his mom dying).
And the whole deal with Tyme, don't get me started, sobbbb!!!!
I know that everyone is like...focused on Great being a terrible person (and celebrating Tonkla for killing him lmao) but I think the original timeline just makes Great's story more tragic.
Since we essentially were in Great's head and he was trying to edit his own past, it revealed so much more about him in a way we would've never known with just the original timeline.
He wants his brother to care for him. He wants sweet, playful dates. He wants to see Thyme smile. He wants to innocently hold Thyme's hand and get his potential first kiss with him interrupted by Thyme's grandma. He wants their first time to be sweet and loving. Just for them. He wants Thyme to listen to him, understand him. He wants Thyme's eyes to soften.
Everybody has wondered why their scenes felt so disjointed but this explains it so much.
Great doesn't think, even in the depth of his subconscious, that his dad could change. Or his mom. Or even his brother. He doesn't crave for his family to be different. Or rather: He can't even possibly imagine that happening in any timeline. His circumstances stay the same.
Every bad decision Great makes, he still makes in his fanfic timeline. But he gets a chance to change it. He's forced to look at his own inactions and the consequences. He's not getting away with his passiveness anymore.
Great's achilles' heel is not that he gets off on hurting and using people. That's not who he is. He doesn't crave his father's approval (like Korn does), he doesn't want people to obey him and hurt them (like Title does) and he's not interested in portraying a certain image (compared to his parents).
Great revealed his deepest desires to Thyme in his wishful timeline: He's just lonely. He just wants to be loved. He wants someone to see him.
And yes, he's definitely spoiled and he's a coward. His achilles' heel is his own cowardice, his inability to decide something for himself, to be ACTIVE and not just passively react to things and let other people decide FOR him. He excuses his own actions with his passiveness because that's just the way he was taught. (Korn said it in the last episode: He will do the dirty work and Great can just blissfully live like everything's fine.) He's deeply anxious, reckless and almost numb to things around him before he meets Thyme in his original timeline.
He just accepts things for the way they are. And because he's surrounded by awful people, he became awful himself.
But original!Thyme miscalculated Great. Because Thyme himself is a morally grey person and hurts the people around him for his own gain (regardless of his motivations being right or wrong). He saw Great as a tool, as someone to use. He was too wrapped up in his own mission, his obsession with getting justice that he wasn't able to see Great for who he could potentially be: A person to love.
They could've been each other's salvation but instead become each other's tragedy.
Isn't that so sad? Thyme used Great and preyed on him. In the original timeline they maybe had like...what....one hour of genuine connection?
And yet – in his dying moment Great still wants Thyme. Still wants to be loved by him. Even in his dying moment Great wishes for them to be each other's haven.

This is not a 4 Minutes analysis post. This is an appreciation post for Tonkla's dick game!
BECAUSE IT'S STRONG!
Like I knew he was good in bed when HE said his mouth wasn't just good for talking and poked Korn's dick.
Tumblr media
But the way he flexed on Win needs to be studied, so here I am!
Tumblr media
First off, Win fucked up when he asked if Tonkla lived alone since he specifically asked if Tonkla had a partner. Win made it seem like he was worried about Tonkla being alone in his state and partly that he didn't want someone to overhear their conversation but . . . Tonkla KNEW why he asked.
Tumblr media
He immediately asked Win what he was really doing there and didn't even let Win answer before he was up and in motion.
Tumblr media
Win was still stunned from the question and Tonkla was already pressing his lips to him, but it was quick! So quick that Win ended up chasing the kiss.
Tumblr media
Every step of this exchange shows Tonkla has the power because Win stands there until Tonkla goes in for another kiss.
Tumblr media
And even when Win breaks the second kiss to tell Tonkla he shouldn't do this, we don't see Win's full face. He could be anyone as far as Tonkla is concerned because Tonkla already knows he can and WILL get this man. All he needs is a warm body and Win just happens to be one.
Tumblr media
Everything about the sex that follows with Win is exactly the same as it was with Korn yet the complete opposite:
The smoking - Tonkla hid his cigarettes from Korn since Korn doesn't like smoking, but Tonkla aired all his dirty laundry (and drug habits) for Win.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The place - Both are in Tonkla's house but sex with Korn on the couch is more intimate than sex with Win in the bedroom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The lighting - Sam positions, same moves, but sex with Korn was warm and engaging and sex with Win is cold and distant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The condom - Tonkla wanted to be fucked condom-less both time, yet both men denied him. However, Korn didn't even answer him and grabbed the condom and lube. Win did answer him, so Tonkla threw the condom and lube on the bed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The moves - Licking nipples and sucking dick were still on the menu, but those were things Tonkla did for Korn yet demanded Win do for him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sex - With Korn, Tonkla has time. He waits for Korn and Korn is on his body with no space. With Win, Tonkla is in a rush. While Win is sucking him, Tonkla puts lube on Win's dick, and keeps Win at a distance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The aftermath - Korn came first then jerked off Tonkla. Then, Tonkla continued to suck Korn's nipples while they laid together. With Win, only Tonkla came and he immediately pushed Win away, then cleaned up and stayed away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tonkla is using Win as a stand-in for a man who doesn't return his calls and can't stay in bed with him.
Tumblr media
And these sex scenes have shown Tonkla can be warm
Tumblr media
Or he could be cold.
Tumblr media
So these men better start answering his calls and hold him tight.
Or else.

4Minutes EP. 3 - My Takeaways
I went back and skimmed through the previous episodes 1 and 2 (which I've already posted my takeaways for in the previous weeks) to confirm a few thoughts I have now that I finished episode 3.
Tyme's Temperament (Childhood Trauma)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I found this small exchange between Tyme and Great to be pretty insightful in terms of how Tyme's attitude affects his every day outlook on life. This seems to be a common trope in films and TV (especially in thriller/crime genres) where a main character has motives to avenge the death of their parents, which I'd assume would be the case with Tyme as well as the series goes on and we're given more context to why Tyme is caught up in Great's family organized crime scheme. Given that his motivation for being a surgeon isn't rooted in being a contributing member to society through hospitality but by making ends meet for him and his grandmother, it's no surprise that Tyme's attitude towards his patients is distant and impersonal. This dissociation can also stem from experiencing a huge loss at a young age, and putting the burden of financial responsibility onto himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see this by a shift in Den's disdain for Tyme's lack of empathy towards his patients by going against their wishes for the mere sake of not letting his patient die, which we can already see this dependence Tyme has with being unable to let go and allow the laws of nature to run its course. Given that this seems to be a recurring theme of Tyme's from how Den's attitude was when reminding Tyme of the patient's name, we hope that his story arc will consist of Tyme learning what it means to "let go," especially because he's taught himself for many decades to "hold on."
Win and Tonkla (Your Wish is My Command)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The way these two establish their relationship in this episode isn't surprising to me, but what became evident was the juxtaposition in how Tonkla's treated by Korn and by Win. Korn became someone who shoves Tonkla to the side, someone who he had successfully hid away from his personal life and making a deliberate choice to keep a distance from him. This lack of communication burdens Tonkla to a point of heightening his grief, which we know how corrupted it is for officials to rendezvous with victims of a case assigned to them, but ultimately sparks codependency between Win and Tonkla, which Tonkla relied on Korn for until he became an after thought mourning the death of his younger brother (thank goodness Dome is alive btw). The stark difference between Win's approach versus Korn's is simple: fulfilling the wishes of Tonkla. Although we've only seen this exchange occur during the heat of sex, we see Tonkla ask the same of both people (fuck me raw?), Korn saying nothing while protecting himself while Win speaks up for the sake of their safety. However, this will become a losing game if Tonkla still seeks validation from Korn, pushing him beyond his limits and may contribute to harming the individual that we saw in the opening of episode 2. I also want to know whether or not this will heavily affect Win's desire to help Tonkla with his younger brother's case, revealing his chief to be one who's accepted bribes in the past and has a strong sense of justice.
Great Documents the Timeline
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you for Great having a head on his shoulders and taking the time to document his findings on how his visions and powers work, giving us a chance as the audience to continue with our own theories and assumptions. I don't really have any plausible reasons for what each minute in Great's visions represent just yet, but I'm leaning towards each time Great and Tyme make a decision significant in keeping their paths crossed.
When it was 11:00 - Great runs into Tyme in the ward after leaving flowers for the patient. When it was 11:01 - Right after Great and Tyme exchange phone numbers. When it was 11:02 - Great finds Tyme attacking his brother, but is revealed his true identity when confronted outside the lounge.
Foreshadowing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I found the inclusion of the message "Can you forgive me Great?" to be the most interesting in the entire episode: because the message only becomes important once we're revealed that Tyme is connected to Nan, the woman who infiltrated the crime scheme and sending evidence back who we can assume right now is either Tyme or the police investigators. But then it makes me wonder: how is Tyme associated with her, is he more than a regular surgeon at the hospital with a connection to the police or is he actually a part of the police which is already iffy for me because if he's also an undercover investigator AND surgeon good fucking god...? Are both of them individuals who are outside of the police investigation as it seems Win isn't aware of their participation as a potential fellow investigator? Since Win was forced to step down from Tonkla's brother's case (I can only assume it's treated separately from the gambling investigation), does that mean he will invest more into the online gambling case since now not only was there a hacker and shareholder mole involved in episode 2, but now we have Nan being held hostage (which I'm still unsure of whether she's working directly with Tyme or with the investigators as well)?
Honorable Mentions: Meeting Between the Two Visionaries
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm curious to know how Den will set up his patient with Great, since he's been doing extensive research into their prospects. Will they meet in person beforehand: have they already met in his "gallery" that Great described it as when he wrote down his findings? Will this "gallery" be a recurring setting we will encounter as the series progressed (since it's featured in the trailer and teaser photos prior to the first episode's release?) And I just rewatched the trailer again: I'll still be shocked if Tyme is actually undercover while still doing his doctoral duties cause that'd be a little insane to me...

Maybe if they had had an Inception-style end to the last ep of 4 Minutes, where you didn’t know for sure if Tyme & Great were still in the ‘4 minutes experience’ or not, then maybe, just maybe, some part of that last episode would have made sense…

Question: What do you think happens in the timeline where Dome is alive? Especially to Korn and Tonkla's relationship.
I'm starting to have suspicions that some of you would like a fic or two from me, because how else would you expect me to answer this ask besides a whole ass essay of at least 1k words in length? (I'm joking anon, I love the ask. I'm just saying lol.) This question has been haunting me for a while. From the moment I saw Dome talking to his brother on the phone while on the taxi, in fact. Hearing him talk to Tonkla, apologizing that he didn't ask him to pick him up from the hospital, Tonkla apparently nagging him about his health, all of it just made me wonder: What the fuck happens in the timeline Dome survives? I don't have many thoughts about it yet, but one key element mentioned in the scene between Dome and nurse Bee is "the case", for which Bee wishes Dome good luck. It makes me wonder if Dome pressed charges against Title for doing everything he did to him and what that would entail. Let's not forget, in Great's idealized timeline, Title's girlfriend also pressed charges against him for basically kidnapping her. So that's one aspect of that timeline. What else? We were never shown this for obvious reasons, but I'd love it if Great had created a memory in his mind of meeting Tonkla at the hospital as he visits Dome. Great surely remembers Tonkla's face - he never wore a mask to hide it when he shot him - and it'd play nicely as a manifestation of his guilt for assisting Title kill Dome. So one thing that could happen in the timeline Dome survives is Tonkla and Great meeting at the hospital. In regards to KornTonkla... it's tricky. I don't know if they'd continue to be how they were in Episode 1, because Korn taking over the illegal business is still a thing in both timelines, so he'd still not talk or visit Tonkla for weeks. On the other hand, I'm thinking that Dome wouldn't accuse Great of doing anything bad to him. We can't trust what we saw in Great's timeline because from his perspective, he either didn't actively do Dome harm or he saved him from Title, but I still don't see Dome going to Tonkla like "Hey, phi, this guy assisted in me getting my ass beat and almost dying." Tonkla would find out what happened though. I trust my boy to not just accept the incident and move on. He's dealt with too much shit in his life for that. Maybe, he finds out Great was involved, and maybe he tells Korn about it or maybe he ends up finding out Great is Korn's brother via IG like he did in Episode 7, and he confronts Korn about it after the weeks of silence. Maybe this results in a big fight. Just maybe. Oh and if Dome presses charges against Title, maybe this is how Tonkla meets Win. And maybe the weeks of silence plus the fight push Tonkla to chase after Win. I don't know, maybe. It's possible. Either way, as much as Great would like it to be otherwise, the effects of what actually happened would bleed through his idealized reality in which he did everything right. And that's why I love this show so much.

So Great really was reliving his past and changing all of the choices that he regretted making. And of course those changes would also help him get closer to Tyme. Great is lonely and looking for genuine connection with another person and so his dying mind conjured up a timeline where he got that. It’s quite sad when you think about it. Alexa play The One that Got Away by Katy Perry.
Questions I still have after this ep: is title still holding his girlfriend hostage? How did tonkla find out that title and great killed his brother? Is win really going to arrest tonkla or will tonkla convince him that what he did was justice for his brother?
Only two episodes left though. Which could be a good thing if it wraps up nicely or bad if they try to rush the ending. Only time will tell

4 minutes episode 4 spoilers under
the big reveal at the end of episode 4 tho....... like i had thought dome was tonkla's brother from the start and this was a case of reality getting broken + two separate timelines, but getting the sibling relation confirmed is actually making everything more complicated in my head
if what we're seeing is great's memories as he's dying of cardiac arrest, like many ppl have theorized (and like so many things point out), then how is the choice be made of saving dome affecting tonkla...... perceived his dead brother in the same fashion as the cat that died years ago is such a cool detail.
whatever is actually happening, it seems like its more complicated than a simple this is time traveling or these are memories of someone dying. and its definitely not only affecting great

I cannot watch 4 Minutes until tonight?, tomorrow?, Sunday?, but I'm in the tags, and the way I'm rolling from laughter makes me thinks this show is a comedy. Tonkla and his storyline are the gifts that keeps giving.
Okay, babygirl! Kill a man or two as a little treat, for me. Mostly for my boy Mio Dome.
