I have so many thoughts and feelings and reliefs and excitements and just SO MUCH going on in my head about The Legend of Vox Machina.

But first I just want to say thank you to everyone who RBed, liked, commented, & tagged my analyses/theories about this incredible show. From the bottom of my fangirl heart, thank you.

I’m overall very happy with this season and the changes they’ve made narratively. I’d love to talk more about it after I process some more. But for now I’m just a girl, standing in front of her tumblr users, asking them to accept her thanks.

Vox Machina overanalyzing ramblings part 4.

Me again, these rambling posts are becoming my therapy until centain white hair boy comes back to iluminate our lives again lol

So, Percy's death has been haunting me these last days, something that all the fandom is experiencing together, I'm not especial, I know, but there was something that was really bothering me about Percy's expression when Vex found him, and after thinking and seeing other posts comparing all the deaths/close to death moments in the show so far, I think I know what it is.

Look at Percy when he's taking his last beath

He looks so sad and defeated, his last thought is of Vex walking away after he confessed his love for her. And yeah, even if he knows Vex loves him, watching her not being able to say it back because she is so afraid of how that can change the team dynamic, afraid that her love will harm him, and whatever other excuse she makes in her head, she walking away still hurts.

I was expecting Percy's death expression to look like Keyleth when she almost died saving Vex in s1, like this:

(damn Vex, how many death people have you hold in your arms? lmao)

Look at Keyleth's eyes, they look hollow, vacant, she almost looks apathetic. But Percy's ended up looking like this:

His eyes are hollow, but his expression looks... scared, terrified. Those are the eyes of a man that is horrified of something.

This is what is been haunting me, the fact that Percy died scared because is his last moments, he saw Orthax taking him away, Orthax whispering all the things he'll do to his soul for all eternity. That bitch crow demon couldn't even give him a moment of peace before starting the torture on his soul.

God, I can't wait for VM to fucking destroy Orthax for good, is going to be so cathartic.

(Not sure if anyone else notice the eyes thing or is just an animation choice and I'm just overanalyzing things but it really feels like a foreshadow of what is really happening to Percy atm that everybody will look back and point after the season is over)

First Dance

I’m coping with these recent episodes by drawing them both ALIVE and HAPPY because that’s what they deserve to be

Okay so after looking at IMDb with the rest of equally obsessed Critical Role TLoVM fans, I must say, if the cast list is truly accurate in that no one is missing…we’re not getting Percy back this season (which hurts my fangirl heart so so much) and Ripley is still on the lam.

That being said, here’s my final updated theory before Thursday:

Percy’s resurrection is going to be tied with Ripley more than it was in the campaign- since she’s still alive and kicking, the party still needs to deal with her and I believe that in doing so, it will end up freeing Percy’s soul and they’ll get him back then. (And, if IMDb isn’t hiding any cast members, this will likely happen in S4 during the Whispered One arc)
