The Nurturing Queen and the Greedy Duke

Credit to @sky00asara in this post for this idea I love guys who are moms (if you get what I mean) This will follow the same rough story beats but will still have a little of my own flair.

The Nuturing Queen, Mother of the Wandering Princess and Erratic Prince, has been said to provide protection and inspire devotion to all who come across her. Praised as Balance and Duality personified, she is a large influence and very commonly mentioned in every scroll, book, art piece, and all magic artifacts that Constantine has seen. He's heard from so many beings of how great she is, her feats, and her being the largest connection between the Unknown Realms and Earth.

Here comes the problem. The Nurturing Queen has an enemy who's been around just as long as she has, who's also been seen not long after wherever she goes, chasing her trail and lurking. The Greedy Duke. He wishes to have her as his own, and take the throne to himself, subsequently plunging the Unknown Realms into chaos. Whenever he confronts the Nurturing Queen, legendary battles commence, and he is beat back.

But now, things are going wrong. The Lazurus Pits have been reported as acting, well, erratic. The Erratic Prince, some beings say, has been seen discussing things with the Greedy Duke. They fear his loyalties may not lie with his family.

A shift has been felt in the magics community. Unknown Realms Beings have ventured into Earth, either out of curiosity or to wreak havoc. Now, at the watchtower, JLD work out how to summon a being and demand to know what's going on, the rest of the Justice League desperate.

When they finally do summon one, they're launched into the Unknown Realms as an answer, told to "Find our Queen" as the being dissappears. They're on a floating island in a green void.

call me a hater of the state of modern anime or whatever but i think hikaru ga shinda natsu does not need an anime and now that its going to get one i am betting on it sucking cos i trust no current anime director to know how to adapt it properly and adaptations nowadays are 1 on 1 to the manga instead of trying to understand the appeal and the meaning and what the page or the panel is trying to convey and translating that in a new media because paper and tv are not the same media at all and need different shots. May just be me tho.

character name reveals!

ive decided i want to ramble about linguistics so im posting updated name reveals for my OCs! this did not take long lol anonymity rip ig. anyways hopefully this makes my prior post make a bit more sense

Sabreia - pronounced sab-REE-uh, this is the updated name for my fmc. she was originally Sabrina but I wanted an update. Depending on particular regional accents, the pronunciation would shift: one character pronounces her name more slowly and deliberately, like saB-bREE-Yuh. technically this uses a diphthong so enunciating would make it sab-bree-ih-uh

Daegan - pronounced DAY-guhn. i love him and anyone who hurts him (its me im the problem its me, me and the narrative) has to answer to me. say it slowly and correctly enough and its nearly three syllables, because of the diphthong, so it would be DAY-ih-gun.

Araen - pronounced ah-RAY-un. its a diphthong, u know the drill. enunciation makes it ah-RAY-uhn while fast speaking makes it ah-rain. his father the shitty lord calls him ah-rie-un, a bit like the name ryan with an a at the beginning, because he's posh like that

isylida - let the y usage begin! this one is ih-ZIE-lih-duh. if you want, you can hint at an extra syllable by elongating the ie sound of the y, making it ih-ZIE-IH-lih-duh

Zandyr - my FAVE. ok listen here me out. Zahn-deer. basically the name Xander but remove the ugly dystopian X from the spelling and elongate what is normally an unstrssed schwa sound. be really emphatic about it and you can turn zahn-dehr into zahn-dee-yer

thats the main cast! if anyone is actually bother to read this shit, lemme know! i can share place names as well

basically i wanted to give them all a slightly otherworldly sense to them by emphasising a few unfamilar vowels. because of how casual speech worls, most of these names would jsut be pronounced with two syllables (daegan, zadnyr, araen) or three (sabreia) or four (isylida). BUT pronouncing diphthongs is cool because that's two long vowels smushed together! making an extra bonus syllable that you CAN enunciate should you choose to do so

i don't think sonic translates particularly well into open world environments so it probably would be for the best if future games didn't go the same route as frontiers HOWEVER. they should return to the formula of huge hub worlds to give us a space to run around and goof off in like in frontiers. i want them to take sa1 06 and unleashed and expand on what they did. maybe make seamless transitions from hub world into stage environments who knows!!

I could picture everything so vividly and i heard that one line where it was him going "I want you.
