Ill start by explaining my proccess cause it was quite eventful!

The jumping off a cliff towards something was inspired off of this tiktok :D

Thought it worked GREAT for a character who was so dead-set on his goal he destroyed himself in the process of achieving it… And thats all I had in mind, Wingdings reaching twords his goal (a star/the player) and the rest I just went along with as I drew

I didn’t intend on the background being black, was just a placeholder, so once I finished the line art I fiddled with the color. thought some sort of “blue screen of death” would go well with the themes of what happens to him since he is IN a game. so the universe literally restarts (resets :3) itself to get rid of a glitch (him)

My theory currently is that his goal was to become some sort of player/gain the ability to reset, and once he did that, the game saw him as an error/glitch, so got rid of that- bro IS Turbo from wreck it ralph

After that whole idea- I was looking at some references to replicate the text and it made me go “OOOHOOO” when I saw the QR code like “oooo I could make my own and have some fun with that…” and so I did- and decided to link my original idea for that!

Him not wearing gloves is meant to depict how little he cares for his own safety in his last days. I did the same thing in my IM SANE amv!

The “star” having an eye is meant to show how its both the player, and seeing the stars/surface that Wingdings is reaching for.

The wingdings font covering Dings’ face/eye socket is meant to symbolize that perhaps he feels defined by his inability to communicate like other people naturally can.

“Ths Stars, They Cry Out Your Name” is my favorite thing in this… from Wingdings’ perspective, the only thing that matters, that understands him, that TRULY values him…is THE STARS. its like this goal that he has that will make him feel valued. Getting to the surface = being “worth it” But truly, the stars are the PEOPLE that care about him. Asgore, Alphys, Sans, people that are genuinely concerned over his obviously deteriorating mental health- they CRY out his name, not “call” like I had originally planned.

Autistic Bones Characters and Diagnosis: My Thoughts!!!

Zack: I think Zack showed a lot of stereotypical signs of autism when he was young (lining up toys, no eye contact, frequent meltdowns, no interest in other children), and given that he was a white boy he was probably diagnosed young.

Despite being diagnosed it was hard to access any sort of support growing up since he excelled in school, and with eight kids his parents couldn’t afford things like occupational therapy (but they did all they could to support him).

Brennan and Cam know from day 1 since they’re his superiors, but his first few months at the Jeffersonian he doesn’t tell anyone else or ask for any sort of accommodations, both because he’s grown used to not having any, and because he wants to ‘fit in’ with the others.

Brennan: Not diagnosed until sometime during the course of the show, and doesn’t consider that she could be autistic until someone else brings it up (either someone casually mentions her being autistic assuming she knows, because let’s be real, it’s kind of obvious, or someone comparing her to Zack who she knows is autistic).

Lots of internalized ableism and definitely rejects the idea that she could be autistic at first. I imagine she has a lot of experience with ‘autistic’ being used as an insult towards her, and her general dislike of psychology ties into it as well. She does get over this, but it takes a lot of work, and even when she does get a diagnosis from Sweets, she can’t accept it right away. But everyone around her loves her and is there to help her come to terms with this information and figure out where to go from here !!

Hodgins: My audhd king. Late diagnosed ADHD, never diagnosed autistic (but he is, argue with the wall). His autistic traits all get written off as ADHD or anger issues.

I don’t think he’s at a ‘disadvantage’ by not being diagnosed, because he works in such an environment that he can get the support he needs without it, and ADHD diagnosis helps him to understand why he is the way he is (especially in the context of his childhood and realizing that he wasn’t ’a problem child’ he was just neurodivergent)

Just a personal nitpick of mine regarding Helluva Boss, don’t get me wrong I still love the show, but if the creator and writers have to clarify things from the show to avoid confusion like

1) Satan bullshiting about being in hell longer than Lucifer and Ozzie and Bee knowing it’s bullshit

2) Andrealphus weird Alabama thing with Stella, like always talking about how hot his sister is, is just a way to hide his sexuality and not an actual Alabama thing between them

3) Confirming Stolas and Blitzø did not hear each other during their duet, specifically Stolas did not hear Blitzø say “you’re my heart” during their duet

Then I feel that’s not a good way to do story telling. It’s fine to share facts or behind the scenes stuff about your show, but not everyone is gonna be going on the writers twitter just to know that Stoliz didn’t actually hear one another during their duet or how Stella and Andrealphus are not actually sweet home Alabama when the show itself doesn’t make that clear.

What kind of feelings Jerry was supposed to evoke, actually?

FE16 pushes the player - through Billy - to consider Jerry as a good parent, because it plays with the red herring about the evil lizard lady being evil.

And yet, even with all of his misgivings about his kid, Jerry is still the one who calls Flamey's bullshit and wonders if running away from GM wasn't the stupidest decision he ever made, just before kicking the bucket.

Being the cheap copy of the Ike'n'Greil relationship, Jerry's presence and death is supposed to be important to Billy - even in Tru Piss where they look pissed at seeing Emile and working with Uncle'n'pals.

And yet, unlike what we learn about Greil being the chadest amongst chads with 1 (one!) blackspot to his record, whenever you talk to characters about Jerry you're met with... less than rosy thoughts, even if the characters apparently handwave it away.

Let it be with Leonie, or even Alois, Billy learns that their dad wasn't the chadest of chads like Greil, but a drunkard (before Citrus' death, since Alois was a kid!) who apparently played dangerous games with people who idolised him, left his kid alone to be showered with praise by Leonie's village as he dealt with bandits, and left bar tabs all around the continent for his "apprentices" to pay.

Come the "journal" where, imo, we learn that dude was so afraid of his baby not being "normal" than he ran away from the odd lady who saved them "a long time" ago and who's pretty much not normal himself, and the place where his own wife, who displayed - partly - the same "abnormality" as their baby grew up and lived.

Then Nopes happened and did a number on poor Jerry - from mocking their kid's potential aspirations at being something else than a sword for hire, to their singing (done to cheer him up!) and actually learning he at times apparently let them go without food while he never invited them to the "thank you" parties throwns by the people his company saved...

Billy still loves their dad, but is he a good dad by any means?

With all that knowledge, after playing both FE16 and Nopes, can we really feel upset when Jerry kicks the bucket? For Billy maybe, because Jerry is important for them, but does it has the same echo as Greil's death, or even, to remain in Fodlan, Rodrigue's?

I guess if in Nopes, Jerry acted on his heel-face turn (or suddenly growing a brain) from his penultimate FE16 dialogue, we could have had a character growing beyond the red herring and the "unreliable narrator" stuff FE16's first part gave us, and maybe make for a more grounded-complete character, like confessing that he panicked after Citrus' death and worried for Billy, but regrets not being able to bring them the best life they dreamt of, and willing to apologise and let Billy grow in the same environment Citrus did.

Or maybe even explore what Jerry did in 300 years, if he never bothered to wonder why the fuck was he living to be as old as the elites, or his thoughts and feelings about Rhea periodically using hairdye to pretend to be someone else and "aging" even less than him...

Given how - or maybe i'm tainted by the fandom - FE16 thrived on the playerbase feeling characters/situation "relatable" from a doylist pov, I guess Jerry running away with bby!Billy because they weren't "normal" wasn't as weird as it sounds, babies should rightfully have a beating heart!

Bernie is a hikkikomori (forget the part where she's supposed to be the heir of one of the most important lands in Adrestia which would rightfully make her father disappointed with her (lbr, Greg would either have tried to get another kid with Bernie's mom, or got a second wife/bastard, or picked a branch member of his house to take his succession), Linhardt falls asleep and doesn't want to do his job as the next minister of Finances/whatever his dad does and prefers to hyperfocus on academic research ? How lol (please ignore the implications of House Hervring's heir being, uh, not interested in whatever his father does and how he is supposed to inherit his job (at least before Supreme Leader starts her war and pulls out her "reforms")).

Between the brackets are the first arguments that come to mind, if we consider the world those characters live in, aka Watsonian wise.

Jerry is worried about his baby's heart not beating and them not being normal? Jerry, you're not "normal" per Fodlan's standards yourself, you're over 300! Your wife had the same difficulties to emote than your kid and she might or not have had the same "heart not beating" syndrome given how it's her own heart that was transplanted in your kid

You know that what is "normal" for regular humans in Fodlan do not apply to you, your wife or your boss who oddly looks like your wife. So why was that argument even considered when you decided to run away and condemn your child to a life of "sword for hire" and danger at each day ending with a -y ?

IDK, it's as if, in BK, Kalas' bro, born without wings - which is an oddity since apparently everyone is born with some in this verse - finds Kalas weird for only having "one wing" and not two like everyone. It would be the pot calling the keetle back (but since BK is a game with coherent writing, this never happened).

I wanna hear your headcannons

Hmm i wasn't sure where to start, so apologies if this feels really jumbled. Also keep in mind i am cherry picking things from what dc has considered canon or not canon anymore sooooo:

starfire/koriand'r:

- Her personality is a mix of the bubbly one she has in TT03 and her NTT comic version. Warrior that will beat you to death if you wrong her, but can be very compassionate and considerate to those she loves. -struggles with social queues and human lingo (this isn't just for english, but any language. if you ever see the trouble in tokyo movie, she speaks Japanese for a scene but you can clearly hear/tell she's fluent but there's still a distinct way on how she talks/enunciates things). Since there really wasn't a "dialect/accent" for Tamaraneans, I like to think how she speaks IS the dialect/accent. And it's why her sister, Blackfire, seems to be much more "fluent". Some people can drop their accent/dialect when speaking another language, while others, no matter how much they speak in their 2nd language, will still have that accent/dialect there. (also bc i think it's a bit silly that to become MORE fluent?? you have to keep kissing? idk) - I love how she was a model for donna troy's photography gig, so i thought that would be cute to continue that (and her relationship with Donna!! bc wow did i fall in love reading about them in NTT)

Dick/Nightwing - He and batman had a fallout (he did not get "fired", but he left of his own volition. albeit on bad terms at first from differing views/ideals. I like to think that's partially why he was so moody in tt03 and why slade was such a great villain for him since slade(tt03 version) was very similar to batman at the time.

- He DOES grow out of that moody edgy phase, but he still has that bad habit of hiding his emotions/thoughts with others. While he's grown to trust them more and rely on them for missions, there's still that emotionally-constipated person that struggles to take off that "mask" and doesn't usually wear his emotions on his sleeves. And this continued to cause strain with all of his relationships. And if say a member of his team is hurt due to complications on a mission? you bet he struggles to not fall back on old habits to do things alone bc he can deal with it all by himself.

- When he's with TT, he's more relaxed and serious, but when he's back in the batfam, he ups the fake smiles and quips otherwise he might go crazy with how brooding everything is (especially being away with his found family and going "OH things don't have to be this damn depressing all the time. cool")

- remained the leader of TT in Jump City but as the team grew older and TT grew in members, things changed:

TT team:

- the older members (the ex-teens of the group) would all move on to managing their own cities or helping the younger generations (so dick in bludhaven, keystone city for wally, as well as other older members working at the east or west tower to help with younger generations not just be good heroes, but help them become capable of withstanding on their OWN. bc i like the idea the first members who [most of them] came from being in a shadow of someone else, so making sure future teen heroes don't fall into that ig?) so i guess like the JL where there's still a main core (with dick as the "leader" but the other main core can all step up to the plate too when necessary)

Batfam:

I know the new52 and crisis and yada yada has retconned and changed so much for all of their characters/stories (thanks DC). but again, these are just my AU/headcanons and anyone can disagree with what i gotta say:

- Jason todd becomes Robin ("unofficially") while Dick is a member of the tt03 team. TT03 is like... a 2 year story in my eyes? so by the end of the tt03 series, Dick becomes Nightwing and passes the mantle onto Todd. Todd is robin for like 1-2 years before his death. Tim takes up the mantle of Robin and then would either become red robin or put up the cape as he attended college AWAAY from gotham with duke and stephanie bc that would be fun (red robin, signal, and spoiler as a trio? sheeesh). Damian either joins before Tim leaves or something idk.

-babs is a bit was batgirl during dick's robin run. Would eventually become oracle and i think either staying in gotham or going to bludhaven could work.

- i know we all love the shenanigans with the batfam but i think a lot of these characters and relationships do better when they get to be independent. (which is kinda funny bc thats what bruce would want, even if he can be hypocritical and try to hold onto them due to his own trauma and unhealthy attachment.) but i would like to think eventually they could come together to help out in gotham every now and then. but who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ bat stuff isnt my biig focus hehe.

So robstar/dickory stuff:

- on the fence if they stay together after the tt03 movie or at some point they do break up but it's more bc i always felt like star/kory was giving a LOT to dick and dick still had those emotional pull-back tendencies. and what i love about these two is that we have one character who is so in tune with her emotions vs a guy that struggles not to deflect a positive remark. and while she sees through a lot of what he puts out as a front and can always recognize when he's hiding something, she can't be doing all that heavy lifting (even if she's a warrior alien princess with super strength lool). So, if they get together during their tt03 era, can they work through that? Idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (i also lowkey would love for some angst and rekindling as adults who've matured and have better ideas on what they want vs when they were just kids crushing on each other but it could go either way bc the tt03 did a lot of development between the two of them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

- Dick grounds Kory. He's her sense of humanity. He's the first person she meets coming to Earth. He was always patient with her and loved showing her the world. Kory reads dick like an open book and he finds comfort in someone who can see through that facade TT03: There's a reason he hesitates to shoot her during the slade arc. why he picks her to search for slade. He can be vulnerable with her, even if it's in his weird way.

- a big fight involves moving forward in their relationship like marriage and children. To date is one thing, but to commit to something like that? To put his loved ones in danger? especially a child? He would have the fear of losing them OR his child losing HIM and kory. ofc kory would be understanding but i do think she would also get mad like "I was born to a race of warriors. Trained by the Warlords of Okaara. Am i so weak to need constant protection? I have respected the human morals to not kill, but I do not hold such beliefs and will do what is necessary to protect who I love most."

- Bruce wasn't necessarily confident in their relationship. It's a jumble of emotions that can be confusing. happy for his son to find happiness/love, sad/hurt/fear of his son moving on/away, a possessive/jealousy to keep dick around. But I do think when bruce and kory meet, he may soften a bit. I think it's why i like the idea of Tt03 star/kory meeting bruce bc she can be gentle and theres a charm about her.

Eventually they have mari! (and jake years later).

-Dick's job is to take her to school. but he's always sleeping in due to late hero shifts so it's usually a piggyback and acrobatic journey across the city to get to school on time.

-If she's hanging out in Gotham, then the public eye spread rumors bc they see her as another "black haired kid adopted by Mr. Bruce Wayne" and after 4 of them, people have just accepted the normalcy of it. ive also thought itd be interesting if she (and kory) were given some kinda tech like a watch that could disguise their appearance since big green glowing non-pupil eyes are kinda a give-away.

-jake doesn't get his powers until he's a teen. so while both kids were combat trained, he would take on the mantle of flamebird to go alone with nightwing!

Kinda unfair/or unpredictable question but do you think at some point in the next books Jaime and Daenerys will interact to a higher degree? Or better question -- do you think that's a good idea? Jaime has so much personal trauma with the Targaryen family, it feels like it may be realistic to have a meaningful conversation with Dany. (If he's surviving his current predicament which I think he will :P) Though maybe it'd just be beneficial for Jaime, and Dany is not interested in dwelling on it

and i find it interesting that this jape is in the chapter where all this significant rhaegar talk happens:

all this could mean nothing, and these things are hard to predict, and i think the show especially offers very little in this regard considering how much the stories of these two in specific were shifted in certain directions, so this is all i am gonna say anon: i do think the set up for an interaction can be interpreted from the text. dany is “rhaegar returning” in some form, so maybe there is more to that “talk that never was” than just tragic irony. when and how and exactly what it would mean for them at that point? idk. i just think jaime (and only jaime, as he would likely be the last living “monster from viserys’ stories about RR” by that point: not only was jaime kept closer bc he was a hostage, but barristan doesn’t really dwell on rhaella’s abuse, and it is possible that he will not live to be the one to communicate the extent of the ‘real aerys’ to dany, he was dancing around it in the text so far thats fs + brienne knows about the wildfire plot but that would be significantly less personal, same with the pieces just being put together after KL goes up in flames imo, which they likely will be, but i just think it would be missing that ‘personal layer’) holds information that dany does want to learn, and him telling her could bring a lot of things full circle for them as characters (+dany and rhaella have a number of parallels, and i do think that piece of information for example, as painful as it is, would hold significance to her and her understanding of her family other than just a form of closure, especially relating to a major theme concerning the downfall of house targaryen and the abuse and oppression the women faced from their male counterparts following jaehaerys’s rule, the dance, complete patriarchal hegemony etc. and that whole downfall did culminate in aerys and everything he represents, and her experience with viserys is also an extension of all that). idk if jaime is meant to confess the wildfire/kingslayer thing in specific to anyone other than brienne (from a more thematic perspective), but who knows, especially if he does live past a KL going down in flames scenario, which is possible because there is a set up for him wielding widow’s wail which is there rn. the whole rhaegar motif in jaime chapters was always something that i found interesting (i have a very specific interpretation of a parallel/anti-parallel with the children that i think is actually unrelated to dany/jon etc, but i am too lazy to get into that right now.) but yeah he is the pov character with the second most mentions of rhaegar by name in the text as he is a key manifestation of guilt, the first one being dany obviously. if not, then george has bran + magic to get that info to dany ig. we will see in like 20 years lol

early life: Remus was born into a family of two loving parents, and for his first four years, knew nothing but an uncomplicated and comfortable life. They lived in a quaint cottage in Gwynedd, Wales, near to where Hope's family had grown up, and though most of her siblings had passed, she remained as close to them as she was in childhood, inviting little Remus over to play with his cousins before he started school. Lyall, a Ministry worker at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, was away for long hours, floo-ing back exhausted, but his passion for protecting the world from dark beasts only grew as he was promoted in 1965. Remus and Hope became closer while Lyall was away on Ministry business, but both longed for him to come home. They would garden together, taking care of the meagre farm that stretched out from the cottage, learning all about the muggle world outside of their village and what simple facts about magic Hope could recall from her husband, and sharing the couple's extensive record collection.

In mid February of that year, Lyall came home. On his last day on his trip to London, a meeting occurred that left him rattled. A man was being questioned on suspicion of killing two muggles, and though all members of the committee believed the man's insistence that he was simply homeless, Lyall did not. He knew he was a werewolf. Upon returning home, temper shot and humiliated, he sent his son to bed early to talk to Hope. She knew nothing of werewolves, only what Muggles had gathered over the years as ghost stories. That they were dangerous. Listening to his advice, she kissed Remus goodnight, shaken by the thought that such evil things could exist unrestricted, but falling asleep assured that her husband knew best. Remus slept soundly. He didn't worry about the anger his father had trailed into the house. He didn't worry about his open window. When he woke in agony, leg torn apart by a bite, he saw his father's face break, his worldview shifting. The thing was gone now. But it was still in him, infecting him. Dittany and silver was applied to his injury at home - they couldn't risk going to St Mungo's, not when Lyall knew just how prejudiced they were. He was glad for that once. Called it safety. Now, he was consumed by guilt at how wrong he was. From that night, Remus was raised in fear of himself. He knew he was a burden on his parents, their finances, their mental state, everything. Just by being bitten, he had ruined the peace that they had brought him into.

Less than a month later, they moved from their village to another, even more remote, when Remus tried to play with a girl his age. Hope's family was cut off, and Lyall left his job at the Ministry. Six months later, they've moved again. They both researched cures while Remus played by himself, reading and listening to records. Every full moon, he was locked in the basement, reinforced with spells to keep him contained, and silent. After a year, Lyall came home with a potion to try, and the next moon he watched his parents' eyes dull and drain of all hope. The next cure gave him constant headaches all month, a promising sign of at least some sort of change, but all it did was enrage the wolf. He woke up in more pain. Hope learned first aid, and familiarised herself with more potent magical painkillers. They moved only three times more, to Clydach finally, in a tiny cottage, run-down, almost undetectable with the addition of Lyall's charms. Loneliness marked his childhood. By ten years old, Remus had taught himself the basics for First Year. He loved Defence Against the Dark Arts, moving onto Second and even Third Year editions of his father's old textbooks. He didn't understand why Lyall confiscated it when he was recalling the unit on nocturnal beasts. Still, no matter how far ahead he got, he knew he was different. His eleventh birthday arrived. When he woke up, he could only hear the strained muttering from his parents downstairs. His letter was here. Though he was excited, he couldn't help but think something was wrong. That was right. Of course. He couldn't go. Remus hid in his room, ashamed of what he was, tired of being outcast, being alone. Suddenly the voices grew louder. A man he didn't recognise was standing in their living room. He spoke kindly, kinder than Remus believed he deserved or ever hoped to hear, of precautions and protections, and friends. With his parents' timid acceptance, he was going to be like other people.

I feel like I must be the only person who gets stressed af when I see someone else post their headcanons/theories for something i already have a lot of headcanons/theories about. Like, “oh shit someone else already did it now I can’t :(. If I post mine I’m stomping on their turf” or like I feel like mine are now wrong because clearly this person knows more about the topic than me or knows something I don’t. Which is wild because I should be excited when I see people who like the same things I do, but instead I feel weirdly territorial. I just have an odd inferiority complex about it
