DCxDP Prophecy Universe Part 4
Part 3
Aaaah, Tim had missed undercover work! There was just something thrilling about becoming a whole new person by making a few small tweaks here and there. He had combed his hair in a side-part, carefully applied make-up to make his skin look paler and his eyes bigger and put on a pair of thick rimmed glasses. Worn sneakers, baggy jeans, a loose plaid flannel shirt with a hoodie tied around his waist hid his lean, muscular frame. A slight slouch and his old high-school backpack completed the look. Goodbye Tim Drake-Wayne, Gotham socialite. Hello Adam Taylor, college freshman.
Jason took one look at him and practically fell over laughing.
“Oh my God, you look like a total dork! Would you like some braces to go with that?” he heckled, catching himself against the side of the car.
“I’ll have you know that this is the height of broke college student chic,” Tim sniffed in mock offence, “It’s called ‘blending in’ Jason. Maybe you should try it!” He walked past his snickering brother to get in the passenger’s seat of the beat-up Ford they used for travelling incognito.
“No thanks, I’ll leave the theatre performance to you,” Jason drawled, tossing the keys in one hand before getting behind the wheel. “I’ll just hang back and keep an eye out in case things go tits up.”
“I don’t even know why you insisted on coming along. I’m just going to question a civilian!”
Jason gave him a Look before starting the engine. “A civilian raised by mad scientists. The way our lives work, we’ll find her building Kryptonite powered robots in the janitor’s closet or something.”
“And the fact that she’s a cute red-head has nothing to do with it?” Tim teased.
“Nope!”
“Liar.”
The drive to Metropolis passed in a mix of mutual ribbing, arguing over radio stations and discussion of recent cases. They carefully avoided the elephant in the room - the reason for their current investigation. The sullen anger of their youngest brother, the quiet grief in Bruce’s eyes whenever he thought no one was watching and the mounting tension within the family. Tim doubted that this excursion would be all that fruitful, but he needed to get out and do something for the sake of his own sanity. The last thing he wanted was to watch Bruce emotionally implode over what may or may not be another dead son.
Getting onto the university campus was no problem. Tim had a fake student ID on him just in case, but it looked like he needn’t have bothered. His hacking had revealed that Jasmine Fenton checked into the university library after her last class almost every day, so it was just a matter of biding his time. He sat at one of the carrel desks, idly flipping through the latest issue of Forbes. I wonder if Luthor’s new tech acquisition means he’s up to something? Hm…
“Heads up, target at your 10,” came Jason’s murmur through Tim’s earpiece. Tim turned another page then sat up and stretched, glancing around casually. He instantly recognized the red-head from his earlier research. Tall and light build, long hair held back by a head-band, wearing skinny jeans and a dark grey sweater. She made her way over to the row of desks, carrying a small stack of books and a pencil case. She walked past Tim, only sparing him a glance and eventually settled down at the table farthest from the entrance and away from the other students. Perfect.
Tim got up and returned his magazine to the periodicals section before meandering over to Jasmine’s desk. He put on his best impression of a nervous smile. Showtime.
“Hey, is this seat taken?”
She only glanced up from her work briefly then went right back to taking notes. “No, knock yourself out,” she said in a bored tone.
Tim pulled out the chair next to hers and turned it slightly to face her. He sat down and cleared his throat.
“Hi, sorry to bother you. I’m Adam. Adam Taylor,” he lied, offering his hand to her. She gave him a tight, polite smile and shook hands with him.
“Jazz Fenton,” Her tone was light, but her body language screamed ‘please go away’. Tim filed the nickname away for later, “Look, it’s really nice to meet you but I have this project I need to work on, so…”
Ah, she probably thinks I’m trying to hit on her, Tim thought.
“Oh, I understand completely! I don’t wanna take up too much of your time, I just… I was just wondering if you could tell me about… you know,” he whispered with affected hesitation, “...ghosts.”
The smile dropped from her face and her gaze sharpened. “Excuse me?”
“Sorry! It’s just… your parents run Fenton Works, right? The ecto-biologists?” Tim rushed out, “I just wanted to hear your opinion on their work…” he trailed off at the look of tightly controlled anger on her face. She turned and scanned the room around them.
“Alright. Where’s the camera?”
Tim was caught completely wrong footed. Was she onto them?
“Camera? What camera?” he hedged. She slammed her notebook shut and glared at him.
“I get it. Lets pretend to interview the girl with the crazy ghost hunter parents and have a good laugh at her on social media later. Very funny, har har,” Jazz stuffed her pen back in its case with sharp movements, “Well I have better things to do than make you TikTok famous, so if you’ll excuse me,” she gathered up her books and stood.
Tim winced. He really needed to salvage this situation and quickly. He held up his hands in a placating gesture.
“I’m not filming you, honest! I just read some of your parents’ papers and wanted a second opinion on their research! They, ah… they seem pretty biased,” he said apologetically.
Jazz narrowed her eyes at him suspiciously. “Why are you researching ghosts, then?”
The best lies are built on truth.
“Because…” Tim took a deep breath, “I think my brother might be one,” he forced out, then swallowed hard and looked away.
“Oh,” the anger had drained from her voice, “I’m sorry for your loss.”
Tim glanced at her as she sat back down. “Thanks,” he croaked and blinked away fake tears. They sat in silence for a few minutes.
“Adam, what makes you think your brother might have come back as a ghost?” Jazz asked gently.
Tim collected himself for a moment, thinking about how to score the most sympathy points.
“It’s hard to explain. My younger brother… he saw something strange and now my whole family is freaking out. Dad is putting on a brave face but I can tell this is eating him up inside but he refuses to talk about it. I just… I need to know if there’s a scientific explanation to all this. I need to make sense of this whole mess!” he looked up at her through his lashes with his best puppy-dog expression, “Please, can you help me?”
Tim could practically hear her heart melting.
“And the Oscar goes to… Timbird!” Jason teased over the comms.
“Alright. But not here,” Jazz said, standing up again, “This is gonna take some time. And diagrams.”
Oh goodie.

ive never had an original thought process and i will continue not to, aka, Grey's TF2 BLU team clone theory post. This is a long one boys.
i was talking about this with some people yesterday but i really wish tf2 canonically acknowledged blu team more and i think everyone who likes tf2 agrees with me. In case you're one of my hfjone followers who are unaware of tf2's story, Ill just give you the basic overview cause the story is like scrambled around in a bunch of comics, videos, and updates so it might be kind of overwhelming but i do recommend trying.
THE BACKGROUND INFORMATION
There's like these two richass brothers fighting over ownership of a plot of land inherited from their father who gave it to both of them in hopes theyd learn to cooperate with each other. Like reasonable people, they decided to hold an all out war in the American southwest by hiring the world's most skilled mercenaries to fight their battles for them in hopes one of them would claim the land. They each own their own company, RED or BLU, and in the game you fight on one of these two teams usually with the objective of taking territory or intel. A key plot point, that neither the mercenaries or the two brothers are aware of, is that this whole war is being orchestrated to be in a perpetual stalemate by a woman known as the Administrator, so she's the one involved with managing the mercenaries and coordinating attacks so that nobody makes any substantial victories. The gist makes this sound like a more serious story than it is like theyre fighting over a plot of gravel its really dumb actually. And then there's robots and shit that happens later just dont worry about it for now. dont even worry about it
In the game you can play as one of 9 classes of mercenaries, shown above with the aforementioned brothers and also saxton hale (dont worry about him either). Youll notice that in this image its a mix of red and blu people, but these guys exist on both teams. When it comes to promotional material, you almost see them as red team, but the exact same classes exist on blu. And they look the same, and sound the same, and have the same weapons and stats.
Obviously from a gameplay standpoint, it makes sense for these guys to be identical, but they aren't just identical in the game. There's a ton of stuff in videos and comics where they just use the same designs or models, same voices, same personality, everything.
So that's where the popular Clone Theory comes from. Basically one or both of these teams are clones of the original mercenaries to keep the fight between teams fair, because as stated before, these guys are in an orchestrated stalemate.
Again, if youre unfamiliar with tf2, you may be wondering what these guys canon reactions are to the fact that they are fighting somebody who looks and acts exactly like them right? Like, there's a ton of comics and videos about them, so they probably noticed or something? well they FUCKING DONT. ITS NEVER BROUGHT UP.
MY FRUSTRATION WITH THE LACK OF BLUUUUU
i really want them to like. fucking acknowledge what the hell is going on there? like are they actually clones in canon? it would make sense but its never fucking talked about. like even if they didnt actually give a definitive answer, i wish at the very least they pointed out the fact that HEY. these guys we're paid to kill look just like us thats fuckign weird. granted like most of the team are idiots, but while someone like soldier might not question what's going on, i'd think someone like Sniper or Spy who's jobs involve keeping a close eye on the enemy team would probably notice right?????
to be fair also theyve like. never interacted with themselves in any media stuff? the closest we ever get to seeing a red and blu counterpart interact outside the actual game is in meet the spy but we'll get to that later. It's interesting that they either purposefully avoided having them interact or they just overlooked a chance for the funny. we never see what its like for the mercs when they originally get hired (maybe cause they were never hired at all!!!!!!!!!! THEYRE ALL CLOENSSSAAGHG) so we dont really get to gauge their reactions
well why focus on blu team? pretty much all the media is very red centric. the meet the team videos are all about their respective red members, and the proper comic series is about red team (or is it?). the only meaningful stuff we see from blu team is from the war update, meet the spy, and that one christmas comic where spy told a child to murder someone. why's it so red centric, you may ask? well its cause they look better in the promotional art dumbass. do you think people would buy the orange box with blue people on the cover? fuck no think about the color theory
of course its entirely plausible that the red and blu team only use the same character designs for simplicity sake. its possible in universe they are two different sets of people who just look the same to us for the sake of gameplay, but that seems a bit outside the style of storytelling, where everything is sort of ridiculous and literal. i feel like in writing they would commit to it, but they've just managed to write these guys so they never have to interact and acknowledge how weird it is
so i wanna explore what of blu team is actually acknowledged and see if we can reach some sort of conclusion about them? cause clone theory seems to be the most prevalent but what do we actually know that would support that? But before we can even get into that we have to talk about the unavoidable elephant in the room
IS RESPAWN EVEN FUCKING REAL??????
In tf2 you dont stay dead when you die unless youre playing like a specific gamemode that nobody plays. you respawn after a short period of time in a little room and then go back out to get killed again. this is like crazy magic shit so that probably wouldnt be canon right. except crazy magic shit is canon, but that doesnt mean people are getting brought back from the dead- no thats canon too. While nothing in the videos and comics explicitly states that the mercenaries that are getting killed are able to just pop back to life, its not out of the realm of (tf2) reality. Furthermore, certain voicelines that activate after killing the same person multiple times in the game indicate that the characters themselves are in fact killing the same people over and over again, and they do just come back to life. The reason this is even relevant is just cause like BLU team has all canonically died at least once, and the BLU Spy has died two different times at least, so if they can respawn it would make more sense
Since we're talking about voicelines, what do the voicelines tell us about BLU team? really not a lot. The voicelines are the same no matter which team youre on, which supports them being the same people, but again is probably a game mechanic thing. Now onto the videos.
We can sort of skim over most of the meet the team videos because Blu's central role in almost all of them is getting killed, but there's a couple meaningful interactions in some of them.
Meet the Soldier
There isn't a whole lot going on in this one, but I find it interesting that they made the choice to include the BLU soldier's head here, but mostly obscured. This could be an example of an instance where they purposefully chose to avoid showing these two guys at the same time, which couldve been easily avoided by not putting it there at all honestly. Also why does he have that many blu helmets
Meet the Spy
This is the most we ever see of blu team in the videos. Characterization is mainly featured with Blu Spy, Soldier, and Heavy. These characters share the same mannerisms and personality of their Red counterparts here for sure. Most interestingly, Spy also talks a lot about his Red counterpart here. It's pretty clear he seems to consider the two to be similar in terms of skill and threat, which would make sense if he suspected the Red Spy was one and the same.
The Scout here isnt the actual BLU Scout, so his behavior is a bit suspect. It'd make sense that Red Spy is behaving like the Blu Scout and that their behavior isnt actually meaningfully different from the Red Scout. Furthermore, he's the one who specifically draws the comparison between himself and the Blu Spy ("I've killed dozens of spies... like you!"). So it seems the feeling is mutual.
This video is interesting also cause it implicates that Red Spy is Blu Scout's father, while the comics implicates that he's the Red Scout's father. Like what is it? Is he both of their dads? Is Blu Spy anyone's dad? Do the scouts have separate moms? Are the moms also clones? if both scouts went to see their mom and would they end up meeting at the same place and freak out? See this is all interesting which is why i WISH THEY WOULD AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ITS STRA
Meet the Medic
Blu isn't really characterized here a whole lot. A minor joke that's in here is Blu Spy's head, which is a reference to the unused concept for mtm if you weren't aware. But that's just like a one second joke and we don't ever see him again except for that one taunt. Honestly i really shouldve just skipped talking about th WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT
That is about 5 million BLU Soldiers. This is i think the ONLY time we've ever seen multiples of a single class on the same team in tf2's story universe. This is perhaps the most damning evidence for the clone theory we're going to get.
However, this is pretty easy to write off as a production streamlining choice. They want to make a mountain of bodies to stand on, so it's probably easier to copy and paste the same model than take the time to get a good mix of classes in there, and I can respect not wanting to waste that much effort on a minor detail of what was probably their highest quality production at the time. They did take the time to give them different hats though, but that's not hard to do in sfm. But if this scene is literal I really wanna know what the fuck happened here. At least we know where all those helmets came from
War Update Comic
Speaking of BLU Soldier, this comic is all about him. We learn a lot about him in this comic, such as his name being Jane Doe, a trait he seems to share with the RED soldier
(though this panel comes from the mann co no more series and its possible that, at this point in the story, this IS the blu soldier for. reasons. we'll get to that)
He behaves in the irrational violent manner we're accustomed to for the red soldier, though there is an interesting detail that he lives alone in an apartment, as its later revealed that red soldier is roommates with a wizard (dont worry about it). in game voicelines being the same for both classes means that both red and blu soldiers claim to be his roommate but voicelines being the same doesnt really mean a whole lot
Loose Cannon
This is around the time TF2 decided to have lore. We learn that BLU engineer is contracted to keep the two Mann brothers alive so the war can go on perpetually, as his family have a history of doing this apparently. The fact that BLU Engineer is the one who's got this specialized role is actually something thats consistent later in the comic as he specifically is revealed to be personally aiding the administrator
As for Red similarities, well. Blu Engie here is referred to as Dell Conagher, and I don't know think the red engie ever is. However, they both have a cool robot arm known as the Gunslinger, an item that specifically the Blu engie got access to in this comic, not the red one.
either the red engineer has some sort of shared memory with blu, or he was given access to these files after the blu engineer built his own gunslinger so things could stay in a stalemate. there's more evidence for the former, but i would believe the latter too.
Meet the Director
The origin behind the meet the team videos is revealed to be "interviews" staged to keep an eye on the red team and also make a point of how stupid it was for them to agree to an interview in the first place. Blu is basically absent from these comics, but they are mentioned. They made the explicit choice to skip videos of them for whatever reason, hence why all the meet the team videos are red team focused. I dont know how much weight this comic holds though cause its just announcing the saxxys. rip.
A Smissmas Story
This Christmas special is the most blu the comics ever get. It's also pretty standalone though. So while the characters are all pretty in line with their red counterparts as far as personality, not much extends outside of this to really point any fingers. The main tie in to the main series is this courtroom scene where Soldier is acting as Scout's lawyer.
This, as it turns out, gets referenced far later in the main series where the Red Soldier wants to act as Red Scout's lawyer in a courtroom.
Well. okay. case closed then? These two different red guys remember this exact scene that occured with the blu guys as if it happened to them. Theyve got some weird shared experience thing going on right. Guess theyre clones???
YOU FOOL WE HAVENT EVEN TALKED ABOUT MANN VS MACHINE
You remember those two brothers who are the whole conflict thing well they fucking Died. Turns out they had a secret eviler brother who killed them. "Oh what's his name grey?" uh. dont worry about it.
This event causes both the red team and blu team to have to work together in a new coop mode where they fight new brother's army of robots so he cant take over mann co, which is what the administrator and saxton hale (still dont worry about him) oversees.
(this video is so badass man)
So red team and blu team are mixed together now. That's fine though they're still color coded. ARE THEY????? ARE THEY??????
in mvm, all players wear red, and all evil robots are blue. It seems like they had plans to let people play as blu team against red robots cause red robot models exist but they didnt implement it.
This is consistent in the comics as well, where we in The Shadow Boxer see all Ms Pauling is planning only with the red team to fight the robot uprising.
See all red wait-
ive seen this image before. what the hell. lemme check back at the main page
WHAT THE FUCK WHYS THE HEAVY BLU IN THE THUMBNAIL
DID THEY. DID THEY ORIGINALLY MAKE THE COMIC WITH A MIX OF RED AND BLU AND THEN GO BACK AND MAKE THEM ALL RED? LIKE THE HEAVY WAS BLU IN THE ORIGINAL MVM UPDATE AS WELL, SO IT MAKES SENSE HE WAS BLU. IS HE. IS HE JUST WEARING A RED SHIRT NOW????
so whats this mean? it means that in the main story series, the red team we follow MIGHT NOT EVEN BE THE FUCKING ORIGINAL RED TEAM. they couldve all just put on red shirts to distinguish themselves better from the robots or something. there's just no way to be certain who's who anymore
well damnit grey guess thats theory over then BITCH YOU THOUGHT
GRAVE MATTERS
Grave matters is a comic released after the shadow boxers for that years halloween update. Despite this, it explicitly takes place after the two brothers are killed
These two guys become ghosts disputing who actually died first because all they can do is bicker. So they turn to a lawyer to actually figure things out. What lawyer you ask?
JANE MOTHERFUCKING DOE
they go to RED TEAMS SOLDIER, who is named Doe, who also claims to be a lawyer. this is EXPLICITLY before the teams can be mixed up, so this is the ACTUAL RED SOLDIER REMEMBERING SOMETHING THE BLU SOLDIER DID. I DID IT. I PROVED CLONE THEORY. ITS REAL. AHAHAHLDKGHDKLASHLGHKSLGGJ
well. honestly no i didnt. its highly likely clone theory is real if you take all this evidence as legitimate, but tf2 is kind of a bullshit game when it comes to how seriously it takes itself. there's contradictions about demo's upbringing, about whether or not medic actually had a license, shit like that. so its all suspect and thats okay. i dont blame them for not having a concrete plan for the story of a silly shooter game.
theres been good news for tf2 lately but i somehow doubt they're ever going to bring attention to this one specific thing i find interesting, and thats okay. there's plenty of fan made media that explores the blu team. Emesis Blue and Lil Pootis are amazing animations about them. You've also got fanfiction like Kith and Kin and You Need to Get a Head that specifically explore the angle of the tf2 teams being clones. And I think that's what makes tf2 special is the community that gets creative with it. Yeah it may be cool for valve to come out some day with the 7th chapter and the heavy update and the adult swim series, i know id be ecstatic. But we've got tons of people who can create all on their own and thats enough for me I think.

For no particular reason here is some important, totally canon MHA lore courtesy of Smash:
The support course makes most of the stuff for the hero course including comedy props and robotic copies of the staff.
UA occasionally lets people who want to apply there watch classes and even take part in Hero Course lessons.
Momo can perfectly copy others' behaviour if she tries, can stop her lungs at will and is a magnificent opera singer.
Competitive baseball ceased existing after the dawn of quirks but Ochako is a fan anyway.
Fighting game combos are real but only Ochako can do them because her quirk lets her replicate weird physics engine bs.
Bakugo is an expert cook and baker but is also too scary to be asked about it. He's also a pretty good life coach, a favourite of local kids and one of the better rescuers on the team (according to Aizawa)
Endeavor is the most awkward motherfucker on the planet
Mt. Lady wasn't allowed to take hero courses due to her quirk but still decided to be one with some remedial courses to inspire other people with "volatile" quirks. This was a very mixed success.
Disney doesnt exist anymore but its remnant company is still an ass about copyright.
Izuku has a shitton of stuff about Katsuki in his notebooks and made multiple copies of it to hand out/in case they explode. He's also a cat's cradle expert.
The class is generally pretty good at improvised group dances.
All Might drafted up an anime about his life back in his early career and apparently it's Bad.
Midnight has a shonen rivalry fetish.
Shoto has used Half Hot before the Sports Fest but only in love doses and exclusively to attract cats. He also likes hunting bugs a lot (with a similar tactic) and doesn't know how mosquitos work.
Mic knows Muai Tai and wants to show it off really badly.
13's outfit is apparently a uniform UA just has on hand for Reasons.
Gonna respond to these individually so:
Love that! I've actually discussed before on the same wavelength of how the Support Course would be best suited to learn alongside Hero Students so they can see practical applications! I'd like more if they worked together a bit and/or the support students got classes where they just watch the Hero Training classes and take notes.
Honestly being allowed to check out potential schools you apply to does make sense.
Girl has many talents
how do you lose competitive baseball of all things? Like don't get me wrong I have little love for baseball, but why would it go away?
Ochako is best. Just fuckin. That's hilarious.
Katsuki being good at cooking is great but also being good with children? If a hero career never works out then housewife is a great option. (but also something something 'character with abrasive personality and power that's default dangerous and destructive also being one of the best with soft things that take patience like food and children)
This one? Beautiful. He's a loser. I love him.
It seems some bullshit that she wasn't allowed to take Hero Classes like. She can make a good Hero! And while her Quirk application is somewhat niche, it's not out of the realm of being needed. Hell, between her debut scene being fighting a giant villain therefore matching him in size, and the fact that this is a world where things like giant robots can exist, she's def needed. Like yeah she- she needs to learn to be a bit better about property damage but if she'd had gone to one of the schools and had experienced Heroes coaching her, that learning curve would be fantastic.
Disney will be Disney lmao
Izuku. Honey. I love you but that's a bit stalker-y and I would not be surprised if Katsuki blasts you into oblivion for that.
The gang is just all sharing a brain cell
All Might is also a fucking loser I love him.
I 100% think that all Heroes just have something for the shonen rivalry thing because like. Just. You need a close friend you can have a rivalry with to push each other to be the best you can be and then also spar with one another and oh hey getting pinned down like this is kinda hot ain't it? Every Hero has a 'type' and it's 'someone who will be affectionate but also throw me through a wall'.
Shoto using his fire to make himself warm and attract cats is fucking hilarious like baby!!!
Also a fucking loser I love him
That's hilarious actually

Nickel Propaganda Post
Did you know Tumblr has a 4096-character-per-paragraph limit? I didn't! Whoever submitted this, I love you.
Ok so Nickel is the sole survivor of a genocide that wiped out her entire world. Said genocide was carried out by “organic” aliens (carbon-based, fleshy lifeforms, like us, as opposed to silicon-based, mechanical lifeforms, like the transformers) because of anti-mechanical racism that pervades throughout the galaxy of the Transformers IDW universe. At some point soon after that, Nickel was found by the Decepticon Justice Division — Megatron’s personal kill squad, whose sole purpose is to hunt down, brutally torture, and kill any defectors or traitors to the Decepticon army/cause (or really, anyone who pissed off Megatron enough for him to put them on the DJD’s hit list). And when I say “brutally torture”, I mean prolong the victim’s death in the most creatively cruel, painful ways you could possibly think of, from shoving them feet-first into a meatgrinder, to melting them, to brutal electrocution, to stabbing their face with an iron-maiden-like mask, to literally ripping out their brain and shoving it into their mouth (the victim is still alive, mind you, because they’re robots and their brain remains connected to their spine).
There are five members of the DJD, and each of them specializes in a specific method of torture (and most of them transform into instruments of said torture, like the aforementioned meatgrinder, smelter, and electric chair). The leader, Tarn, even has a superpower that allows him to modulate his voice to match the frequency of his victim’s robot-heartbeat and then induce an excruciatingly painful (fatal) heart attack by gradually lowering his voice until the victim’s heart stops. These guys are absolute monsters. On top of that, they’re all zealots who wholeheartedly believe in the Decepticon Cause, which has gradually gone from aiming to eradicate the caste system and freeing the working class on Cybertron, to wiping out all organic life in the Galaxy and establishing a galactic Decepticon empire. So these guys find Nickel, and wouldn’t ya know, she’s all in on the whole “organic genocide” thing. Plus, the DJD happens to need a medic, and Nickel is one. So she joins them and becomes the den mother to an organized lynch mob. She has absolutely no issue with any of their “activities” and treats them all like her children or grandchildren, scolding them for not taking better care of themselves and admonishing Tarn for bringing her a “smooshed up” organ from a victim because, oh yeah, the main part of her job is now giving Tarn regular organ transplants because he’s addicted to transforming and regularly burns out the organ that allows him to transform. It’s honestly kind of sweet how much Nickel cares about her new sons, when you ignore the whole murder and torture thing.
After the main five members of the DJD are all killed, Nickel becomes the leader of an entire army of Decepticon fundamentalists, who are currently fighting the organics who genocided her planet, but she gets separated from her new army via a series of coincidences and hijinks. This gets her stuck with yet another group of five Decepticons, the Scavengers, but unlike the DJD (who were the best of the best cons), the Scavengers are literally the worst. They’re all basically incompetent, they regularly get mixed up in wacky adventures, and they’re much more interested in hanging out and having fun than carrying out “justice” in the name of the Cause. On top of that, the Scavengers actually had a run-in with the DJD before and only lived to tell the tale because the DJD got called away on a more important mission. When they find out that Nickel used to be part of the DJD and incredulously ask her if she’s trying to apologize or make up for her time with them, she declares that she was proud to be one of them. There’s even a kind of hilarious panel of Nickel watching the Scavengers goofing off, and reminiscing about the DJD.
Through another series of hijinks, Nickel and the Scavengers eventually meet up with the comic’s main cast, a group of Autobots, in the so-called Transformers heaven. However, heaven turns out to actually be a euthanasia clinic for terminally ill patients, where the whole planet is programmed to place patients in a simulation of their greatest fantasy, give them a sense of peace, and then euthanize them. The power source of this massive clinic is a group of organic aliens hooked up to a life support machine, and disconnecting the machine will turn off the simulation and terminate the euthanasia program. Nickel, the Scavengers, and a few of the main cast (the Autobots I mentioned) figure out the nature of the clinic and find the room with the organics on life support, but they have no idea how to end the program. Upon seeing the organics, Nickel immediately turns of their life support and kills them, freeing the main cast from the clinic’s influence. One Autobot, a fellow medic, praises Nickel for figuring out how to free them, and her response heavily implies that no, she didn’t figure it out, she just wanted to kill those organics. However, while the reader can easily see this implication because we know Nickel’s backstory and motivation already, the Autobots have no idea, so they welcome Nickel and the Scavengers into their crew. Then, near the climax of the whole series, Nickel saves the day by killing a god (it’s a really, really long story). The last time we see her, she’s basically riding off into the sunset with the Scavengers to go on more adventures.

Green: "Killing a protester for meh money. Was desperate at the time. Hopin' not to fall on desperate times again."
Peace: "Guess I'm ashamed if I dragged anyone into an unsuccessful plan. Stresses everyone out."
Hollis: "Working my old job. Shouldn't have stuck around so long."
Donnie: "Taking on extra enhancements to do this job."
Digits: "I wouldn't really say I've got a lot of actual friends. So I've gotta be doing something."
If you had one wish, what would it be?
Green: "Enough money to support all the peoples that roam in. 'Specially the kids and Peace. Peace might hate it, but she loves me it's fine."
Peace: "No more fucking smog. I want to see the sky. I feel like I haven't seen a clear sky since I was a kid. The hell is this?"
Hollis: "That I had focused more on my music. Love helping people but I shouldn't be used to seeing demolished prosthetics and what people look like screaming and sobbing in pain. You know? But maybe that's me."
Donnie: "More accessible tech. Damn it took me three damn lifetimes to figure all of this out."
Digits: "I just want prosthetics that don't suck ass and sleep. If they pick sleep tell them to make it eternal. I'm sick of this shit."
Where is your favourite place in the world?
Green: "Gonna take ya on a nostalgia trip a bit. I'd say Peace's parents's place. But maybe the diner with the good pops. The fizzies in the glass bottles with the real sugar. Oh hell yeah. Add Peace to the mix and a silent phone and I migh've finally died."
Peace: "There's this spot by the diner right. And there used to be a patch of trees and like an itty bitty pond thing? It was kinda like a really really deep puddle after it rains. Green and I used to sit there sometimes and chug fizzies back to back till we felt like we were gonna puke. Think one of us did one time."
Hollis: "There's a couple hangout spots. But one in particular has a longue sorta thing going. And I get to play my music for a crowd. Get to play my music for the gorgeous dancers when they show. And I usually get a mouthful of a beautiful person too. It's the place to be."
Donnie: "Those rooftop garden things. A lot of them do end up shrivelled and depressing looking after the chemical rain. But the ones that flourish. Really fucking flourish. It's gorgeous. Or just my own home garden. It's nice to stare at nature after fighting all day. Or staring at screens all day."
Digits: "Is it sad if I say my place? Feeling like I'm barely there anymore. It's comfy. There's usually food. The tv works. I like my room, bed's comfy."
What is (or would be) your favorite subject in school?
Green: "History. I actually understood it the longest."
Peace: "Foreign language. Language classes in general really."
Hollis: "Shit it's been awhile. Any of the hobby classes maybe. Really liked the hands on stuff." (Electives basically).
Donnie: "Science. The really broad environmental stuff. I didn't like the smaller stuff much."
Digits: "Math and trade skills. Ended up working construction for a reason."
Have you ever played a prank on someone?
Green: "Yeah. Think I ended up gettin' my ass beat by the menace though."
Peace: "Nope. Well maybe? I helped Green out with hers sometimes. I hate when that woman pranks me. Gets her off my back if she can focus it on someone else."
Hollis: "Pulled out a chair or two. Swapped drinks. Nothing special."
Donnie: "I don't think so. I don't think I'm clever enough to come up with a good one."
Digits: "People usually prank me. But I've gotten my get back a couple times."
If you could swap bodies with anyone you know for a day, who would it be?
Green: "Hollis maybe. She's cool, maybe I could get somethin' out of it."
Peace: "Digits. And I'm making her lay the hell down."
Hollis: "Don't think I could do it. Donnie gets injured all the time. Digits's arms spazz at random. I'd give myself a concussion in Peace's body. Get killed in Green's. And would be annoyed to clean up after drunk assholes at my hangout spot as a bartender."
Donnie: "Digits maybe. Give her a mental break from her prosthetics at least."
Digits: "Green. Green all day. No I didn't answer that too fast. Fuck off."

Indivisible: Dhar Reincarnated
--------------------------------------------------------------
← Chapter 3
--------------------------------------------------------------
Word Count: 4.6k words
Baozhai parks her ship next to the docks and the gang departs. Zebei scans the area as his mouth curves upwards, ”Huh... No slime in sight,” He noted which left Dhar confused. Everyone treads their way into the kingdom, currently in the streets. Judging by the people here, they seem to be a mix of steampunk and working classes to do whatever to appease themselves. There were stores that had bath brands, expensive goods, weapon shops, and smiths.
The swordsman being fascinated, he asks the other man,
“Zebei, you mentioned the Iron Kingdom was in poor condition, correct?”
“Yep. Back then, Princess Mary was supposed to help her kingdom with her father’s ideals when it comes to the use of technology. But she went too far when forging dangerous mechs, machines replacing people for their job which also led most of the population poor.”
Dhar muttered a “yikes”, cringing at the thought of what the conditions looked like in the past. For a brief moment, he saw he was in a different place. He was in a sort of factory with a huge mech that was oozing with pink-lavender gunk all over the room. He stops walking, which the girls notice. Zebei, being unaware, continued explaining,”There was a loooot of slime polluting the area, even most of the ocean! But thanks to Ajna and most of us, she learned how this was too much and stepped back to improve her kingdom.”
Kushi calls out his name, catching his attention. He turns to see Dhar looking off for a minute. Altun was about to raise his beak and peck his hair, but thankfully his tamer stopped him.
“He’s been like this for a minute...“ Thorani stated. Zebei walks up to Dhar, snapping his gloved fingers in front of his face.
Fortunately, the young man yelped and snapped out of his trance. “Dhar... Did you get another memory?” Kushi questions. The young man nods, starting to explain the vision he just saw.
“Huh... I thought you would get the one when you tried alcohol for the first time in the sewers,” Baozhai jokes as the others look at her, unfazed. With an odd pause, she quietly coughs. So now back to seriousness... Zebei drops a sweat, opening his mouth but Kushi cuts him off once he is about to speak,
“You must have seen the lair in Princess Mary’s castle. It was being destroyed after her biggest invention that is also her dad–”
“Wait what?–”
“... exploded by Ajna and us because the princess planned to use her Iddhi into the machine to stop the goddess Kala. Even though it would be too destructive, that's thankfully stopped.”
With no further response to say, Dhar just gives a small nod albeit curious about this Ajna person. Zebei looks at the girl, mouthing “Really?” as she quietly replies,
”What? Were you going to tell him that the robot was supposed to be built for the rebellion but some Navar soldiers snuck in and sabotaged it?”
“...”
“I thought so.”
For a second, the archer swore he heard snickers from the married couple. He looked, but the two were not batting an eye on him. Baozhai wraps an arm around her wife,
”You know what? Uh... How about we split up and look for a good quality smith eh?”
“Oh that’s a great idea, Baozhai! It’ll make us progress much faster!”
The lady in red whispers to Thorani’s ears,
”Lets just watch over their journey rather than actually going with them, alright?” Her wife nodded as everyone splits up into the streets of the Iron Kingdom.
With Dhar, Zebei, and Kushi; they continued to observe life within the streets while looking for a blacksmith. They notice workers helping a few robots clean up small bits of pink slime that were leaking out from the brick bonds, sealing the small holes with cement. On the other hand, there were engineers displaying their inventions or busy making one in front of a curious audience. It was something for Dhar to join in with the crowd, but he can’t get distracted. He had to resist it. Kushi notices his urge,
”Maybe when we’ll find a blacksmith, you can have the time to see the stands. The process is going to take about an hour or more anyways,” She reminded, being received with a small nod from the silver-haired. Zebei scratches his cheek, clearing his throat which catches the others’ attention,
”You know... It could be better if we give him a tour around the place. After all, Kushi, we’ve been here a few times.”
“Actually, I'd rather go on my own. Like Kushi said, I can have the time to see the stands,”
Dhar responded until stopping his tracks. Lhan’s protectors stopped too. All 3 hear metal clanging from a certain stand.
They begin to run, sometimes accidentally barging through random passerby as Kushi said sorry to a few of them. Once the fellow protagonists hear the clanging even louder, they find the source of where it came from. They found a stand run by a young woman with lime colored pigtails, donned in goggles alongside a blue and gray blacksmith uniform. She was using her giant, mechanical gauntlet to make a halberd that looked more machine-like.
“Kampan!” Kushi called out to her. The blacksmith named Kampan, she finished her finest work then looked at the trio. Her blue-eyes shined as she waved her hand,
”Oi! Kushi, Zebei! It’s been a while!” She greeted until she took a glance at Dhar. Kampan blinks, confused,”Aren’t you dead or something?”
Dhar let out a small chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck. He starts to explain to her that he reincarnated but doesn’t remember anyone or anything at all. This led to Kampan even more confused but shrugs it off,
”Weeeeeell I suppose it’s nice to see you again. Cool scars by the way heheh!”
She casually pokes his cheek that had burn scars, causing an awkward reaction on Dhar’s face. He slowly pushes her hand away as the young woman continues talking which turns into rambling. Something about him being kind of annoying or a killjoy back then, but aside that... Kampan made one comment, ”Since you have amnesia and all... You’re kind of like that one client I had who first visited here, y’know?”
“Aaaand who would that be...?”
“Oh so this client, she looks SO much like Ajna but purple! Hell! She noted that the place looks so familiar. I didn’t wanna say too much though because I just wanna do my job and not waste much of her time.”
Zebei and Kushi let out a big “Hah?”, wanting to know more of what she meant with the client; however she waves off to the next conversion. However, the name “Ajna'' echoed in Dhar’s brain. Just who is she? He wondered. Everyone who is close to that person, they must really look up to her like a sort of hero. God, not only he wants to adventure but at least wants to see the person people would sometimes mention.
“So, fellas? What brings you to the Iron mouse's finest smith stand? Came to ogle at my greatest weapons?”
Kampan’s arms motion to various weapons that are displayed onto the wall: big hammers, swords, flails, axes, and whatever the warriors could be in awe of when looking at them. Zebei scanned them, intrigued, ”They look more advanced than your average weapons,” he noted.
Kampan grabs a battle axe from the displays,”That’s because they are! As these models are approved by the princess herself!” She presses a button on the handle and the weapon’s model starts transforming automatically into a rifle.
The blacksmith yells a joyful “Ta-da” as Dhar, Zebei, and Kushi were in awe. The swordsman was more curious while Lhan’s protectors were astonished to see a weapon that can transform. It’s a two in weapon! Wow! Kampan presses the button again and the weapon transforms back into the battle axe,”With these baddies, they’ll help people fight against wretched crooks, criminals, and the nasty vetala!” She exclaims, putting it back on display.
“Soooo~ Have you guys come for an upgrade? Because don’t worry...” Kampan points at herself with her thumb,”The Iron Mouse is here to help ya!” she beams. Kushi looks at Dhar, motioning him to the young woman, “Go..! Go!” The swordsman nods, then unsheathes his chipped sword. Kampan takes it, looking at it up and down. Her face shifted to a mix of shock and disgust,
”Ah jeez... Okaaay judging by the marks, you’ve been using this sucker recently haven’t you?”
“That is... Correct. I have used it for training, then against a flock of ahool, and some Navar foot soldiers...“ Dhar explains as the blacksmith mutters a “bloody hell”.
She takes a deep breath and nods, mumbling that she can do this a few times until she’s sane enough. “Alright, how about this? I can replace the blade with a new one that’s sturdy and polish the handle for a comfy grip and weight. Does that sound good?”
“Sure! For how much?”
“Oh, maybe a small fee. What about 15 gold?”
Dhar looks at Zebei. The other man flinches then looks into his bag that was on his waist, digging through. His eyes widened. He takes out a small purse, then the 15 gold coins, and hands them to the Iron Mouse’s open gauntlet. “Thank you~, good sir!” Kampan says as she puts the gold into the cash register and then goes to grab some metal. She begins to heat in the forge,
”You fellas go ahead and take a look around the new and improved Iron Kingdom! This will take about a long while.”
She stated. So Dhar, Kushi, and Zebei went off, exploring around the kingdom.
The 3 of us walked past some stores. There was a stand that did catch my eye. It was a stand where an alchemist and a witch were brewing and labeling some potions to a crowd. I saw one that was labeled “Mind-Wipe” as the potion was just displayed by the shelf. My feet stopped as I was intrigued.
“Hm? Is there something, Zebei?” I flinched, looking at Kushi.
I shook my head as my hand digs through my bag,
”Oh no, no. Say uh... Kushi? How about you and Dhar buy some stuff as souvenirs? That sounds fun, right?”
One of her eyebrows crook but the girl shrugs anyways and lends out her hand. I gave her half the amount of gold in my pouch. Kushi then calls Dhar, telling him to come with her as the two went off into another street.
With a sigh of relief, I went up to the stand,
”Excuse me?” The lady alchemist at the count stopped sorting the glass bottles, taking a glance at me,
”Why hello, traveler! Have you come to buy our most pretty and lovely potions?”
She points to a colorful variety that were in a glass case,
”They’re on sale~,”
She purrs. Ignoring the odd tone, I pointed to a potion with dark gray liquid as the woman looked where I was eying at.
“Oh that one? The mind-wipe?”
“Yes, please. How much is it?”
The alchemist paused as she seemed concerned, “Ummm... You sure? You want me to explain the portions if you take it?”
“I guess... Sure, why not.”
“Okay. If you take a small amount, you’ll forget what happened today; take a half amount, you’ll forget what happened that month; and if the whole bottle, you’ll forget everything,”
The woman explains. Her arm rests onto the counter and her body leans in, eyes piercing onto mines,
”Are you sure about this?” She asked. I nodded, holding up my pouch. She complied to my need, handing me the Mind-Wipe potion while I handed her the gold.
I left the stand and put the potion in my bag. Now I can’t use this on Dhar immediately, he didn’t get anything much important in that memory he unlocked. If he gets too much, I’ll find a way to make him drink it.
As I was making my way to reunite with Kushi and Dhar, a loud commotion came from the town square. I rushed my way there, seeing a huge crowd listening as some people backed up in horror.
I pushed and moved some away to check what’s going on. Out there were some familiar soldiers in black and gold armor. The Navar Army!? They’re standing in front of the statue with a gear halo.
A woman walked up to the podium. She had white hair with a bang covering one of her yellow eyes, donned in a wine-red and gold dress that had bits of armor around her. She seems like the commander. Something doesn’t feel right when looking at her... Not because she is a member in the army, it’s... her aura? I’m unsure.
The lady smiles, speaking in a demanding tone, beginning her speech, ”People of the Iron Kingdom! Cease all actions at once! The Navar Army has come to take something that will be ours... For Lord Ravannavar’s enhancements into a greater power. Your most advanced works... The mechs and robots.”
People mutter and stare at each other in disbelief. The fear was slowly creeping out of them while I just idle, fist clenching. “... And most importantly... The MOLOCH. Your princess’s greatest thing that was once her father, now destroyed. It would have been great to wipe all organic life on this planet however some rebellious people came to stop it. The rebellious people being the ones that almost destroyed the Navar Army and tarnished their state. But now... Now we’ll be able to rebuild what Princess Mary had! WE will rebuild the MOLOCH!”
“EXCUSE ME?!”
A high, feminine yell with a rich accent is heard. Me and the folks turned to see a blonde woman with straight bangs. That spikey crown... The blue and beige dress... and that metal leg. It’s Princess Mary.
With her was the tall mech, Eurynomos; and a knight with dark skin, green scaly armor plus a dragon cape, Antonie. The look on Mary’s face, she looks more menacing than the last 5 years whenever she is furious.
“WHAT. MAKES YOU. THINK. YOU could take MY army of mechs, built in my gracious factories?! As WHY would I let a disgusting army led by a tyrant have them?! Disgusting!” She spats at the commander. The other woman lifts her hand to her chin, looking unfazed at her behavior,
”Disgusting? You were a tyrant too, no? Back then, you ignored your people’s humanity to get a better life and instead you ruined them with your robots and slime, correct?”
Mary flinches, gritting her teeth,
”Yes... I was one. HOWEVER!” She lifts her hand to her chest,
”I learned of my wrong-doings. I improved my kingdom and my people were happy.
And right now... You have breached into my kingdom to hurt MY people? I refuse to make the same mistake! I won’t be lost to a horrendous army like you!”
The people who are listening to their ruler, they cheer and root for her. Telling her and her henchmen to kick their butt and defeat the Neo-Ravannavar army. I smirked and crossed my arms. She really is doing what a good princess does. Protecting her kingdom.
Princess Mary raises her arm, shouting “CHARGE” at the Neo-Ravannavar Army. Eurynomos and Antontie alongside some mechs that soon fly in, dashed their way at their opponents. The Navar Commander clicks her tongue, pointing at the army,
”You know what to do. Get them”
She orders the foot soldiers. They also charged as well which que a huge battle between the armies. Crud... I shouldn’t be staring for too long, I need to go get Dhar and Kushi! I begin to run back into the streets while barging past some panicked people.
Down the brick road covered with an alley of stores, I see the 2 familiar figures. The one with silver-hair and the one with two pigtails. With a shout of calling out their names, they reacted as they turned their bodies to me. “Zebei! What’s going on!? Why are the townspeople running!?” Kushi panicked.
I told them that the Neo-Ravannavar Army had struck into the town square. Both of their reactions were a mix of anger and distress. Dhar looked at the empty sword sheath,
”Darn... And my sword is busy being upgraded!” He groaned and a sweat drop formed on his cheek. Kushi tugged his sleeve, catching her attention,
”You can fight without your sword, Dhar!”
I smiled, nodding to her statement as I added on,
”Yes! Perhaps you could use your Earth Powers to fight!”
Dhar’s eyebrows raised then tilted his head to look at his hands,
“Y... You’re right! I can do that! And it could help me get used to this power more!”
He nodded, hands clenched into fists. All 3 of us were ready to fight. We ran off to town square to help Princess Mary and her army. I just hope they’re holding on to their willpower...
In the midst of the battle, the princess’s army seems to have the upper hand. Antonie grazes through some of his opponents’ attacks. He opens his cape and jumps over a soldier that swung his sword at him, almost as if the knight was a flying dragon. Antonie then pierces his lance into a Navar soldier’s chest armor, lifting him up and tossing him onto another one.
This fall caused the soldier to stumble into their comrades one after the other; a domino effect. The knight let out a huff, a bit prideful of his achievement.
“Antonie! Behind you!”
Shouted by Eurynomos. Antonie turns quickly, seeing a giant, red monster holding two big swords with its tongue hanging out. A vetala! More specifically a Belu.
The Belu swings its blade at him. Antonie’s eyes widened and held up his lance, blocking the attack which caused a windy wave of impact, and his feet sliding back.
The knight grits his teeth, knowing this monster is going to be a tough one,
“Eurynomos! I need back up!”
“Affirmative,”
Eurynomos goes to sweep a horde of soldiers away with his claymore and pass by other mechs trying to fend off various henchmen and vetala. He turns on his boosters, jumping at the Belu and slashes it. The monster curls up, going defensive and taking the hit. It then counters by simply headbutting the robot. He grunts, stumbling back.
Both Antonie and Eurynomos go in various directions, trying to get a hit on the thick creature. However, it kept countering by rolling around fast; head butting; and slashing; getting to lower the two’s staminas. Antonie pants while Eurynomos tries to stand, but then notices flying devices that are shaped like arrows aiming at the mechs.
What are those things doing...? At the tip of their blade propellers, the gem begins to glow and suddenly drain one of the mechs. The mechs’ lights dimmed down and their bodies fell. They were powered out or... Their energy was taken away.
This shook Princess Mary and her army down to the core. They realize they’re going to have the upperhand if they keep draining the robots' power.
“So~... What are you going to do, Princess? Raise the white flag or keep going?”
Navar’s commander asked smugly. Mary growls and scans the battlefield in an attempt to find a weak spot. But she sees 1 big, floating weapon that looks like a spinning top with 3 faces. The Haathi. Its eyes shine red and their mouths open.
A pink energy started forming. It was preparing for a huge onslaught on the princess’s army!
“My henchmen! Take cover!” Princess Mary yells in a panic. Antonie and Eurynomos rush to hide behind the statue while the Haathi’s charging is growing bigger... bigger... and bigger!
The mechs make a formation by linking their arms together to make a wall and defend the two warriors.
Unfortunately, the flying propellers dive in and begin draining their energy away. One robot falling down to another as Antonie and Eurynomos try to lift them up and keep them standing. The Haathi blasts a huge wave of pink energy. The beams grinds the floor as crumbles of stone fly out while heading their way to the Princess’s army.
They braced for impact, getting hit by the beam...
Or so they thought.
They looked up to see a wall of rocks, alongside 3 figures standing in front of them. It was Dhar, Zebei, and Kushi! The beam disappears as the geo disperses into thin air. Dhar turns his head to look at Antonie and Eurynomos,
”Are you guys, okay?”
“Yes... Thank you. Truly noble for fighters like you 3 to come in,” Antonie commented albeit worn out from the battle.
Eurynomo’s eye flickers, “It’s you three... It’s nice to see you all again.”
Kushi holds up a fist to her chest,”Just leave all this to us!”
“As you guys stand back to recover!” Zebei says as he smiles in confidence.
Antonie and Eurynomos nodded and headed off to recover. The 3 warriors turned to look at the Neo-Ravannavar Army and the commander, ready for a face off. The commander walks up as her heels click, curving her mouth into a devious smile,
”So you’re the infamous Dhar that betrayed the man who once raised you?”
Dhar points at her with a glare,
”That’s right! What brings you to terrorize a Princess and her Kingdom!? Who are you?!”
He growls, demanding for an answer. The lady simply curtsy bows and faintly laughs. Then lifts herself back up to look at him, hand to her chest,
”My name is Nashel. One of the new members of the Navar Army or... You like other fellow mortals–I mean... People tend to address us as the Neo-Ravannavar Army,”
She explains. Nashel huffs and curls a lock of her hair,
”Now you do realize you’re a bit outnumbered right?”
“We’ve handled a flock of Ahool and a few of your soldiers before!
So numbers don’t apply to us!”
“Yeah!” Zebei and Kushi shouted in unison.
Nashel rolls her eyes, a little bored,”Let’s just get this over with. I only want to observe your power.” She snaps her fingers and then immediately, the soldiers and the Belu started glowing in hues of red and blue. They were intimidating to look at as they began charging. Kushi, a bit worried and asks,
”W-What’s happening to them?”
“I don’t know, but let's just deal with them. I’ll take the Belu, Dhar you take the footsoldiers, and Kushi take the flying devices!”
Zebei ordered, taking out his bow and arrows. Kushi hops onto Altun, taking off as they leave out a gust of wind. Dhar summons various geo, tripping 5 soldiers. He notices the Belu curl up and spin dash towards him. He was about to run but thankfully Zebei swoops up, shooting at a downward angle.
The arrows hit on the ground in front them. This made the monsters lose balance in their rolling, crashing into each other and all of a sudden... Burning. Waitwaitwait! BURNING?!
“D’aww... And I just bought those Vetala. Guess they weren’t so powerful after all,” Nashell remarks in disappointment. She snaps her fingers and the Belu disintegrates into thin air.
Zebei’s eyes widened. Just what the hell is this woman? But he shouldn’t ponder for too long or else he’ll get killed.
He then hears sizzling and crackling of flames, befuddled yet startled by the noise. “Uhhh...! Zebei?! He turns to see Dhar was blocking several swarms of fire. He notices they were being cast from the footsoldiers’ blades.
So that’s what Nashel did... She enchanted her henchmen by giving them powers. The silver-haired pushes the flames back with a wall of geo, hitting his opponents against a stone building.
Dhar goes up to Zebei, unsure what the two just witnessed,
”I think commander Nashel just gave them pyrokinesis...“
“I can see that Dhar... Why don’t you go help Kushi...?”
Dhar nods casting platforms of rock slabs, running up to where Kushi and Altun. He sees Altun swinging his tamer around as Kushi was kicking the flying devices away like nothing. The girl notices the young man,”Dhar! Catch these for us!” She was hopped back onto Altun as the bird smacks some propellers at him.
Dhar summoned more rocks and collided them with the devices. But soon, one flying propeller dashes in and knocks him off the floating platform. “Dhar!” Kushi cries out. Altun swoops down, thankfully catching him. The young man mutters a “thank you” and the girl gives him a nod. He sits up, eyeing down to check on Zebei. The archer was able to hit a couple of soldiers but they weren’t enough to be defeated.
Both Kushi and Dhar noticed the Haathi descending into the battlefield. It begins to charge up its beam. “Zebei’s going to be hit by that floating weapon!” The bird tamer panics. As for her passenger, he scans the battlefield. It was just a wildfire of red and blue while Zebei was looking exhausted when fighting the soldiers. Oddly, Dhar carefully stands up. Kushi looks at him, confused,”Dhar? What are you doing?!”
“Going to jump and save our friend.”
“Huh?!”
“Go help get Zebei and lift him up!” Kushi was about to grab him but the silver-haired man jumped off of Altun. He was able to land on the Haathi as it was swiveling around. He was hanging on for dear life. With no choice, Altun flies to grab the Zebei, The archer feels claws dig into his shoulders as he yelps,”Wha!?” He looks to see his feathered ally,”Altun?! Kushi, what’s going on?!
“I don’t know! But Dhar is planning something!”
The archer was then being lifted up as the foot soldiers attempted to jump and get them like rabid animals. While being unnoticed, Dhar was smacking the Haathi to activate its attack. He mutters some insults at the 3-faced weapon, continuing to hit it with his fist until he sees the pink glow.
“Alright! Aaaand shoot!”
The Haathi unleashes its powerful laser beam. The footsoldiers stopped once they heard a large buzzing sound. With small turns and no other way to react, they immediately get disintegrated by the pink wave of energy.
“Alright! You’ve done your job, good night!”
Dhar casts a small, rocky spike and stabs it a couple of times. Meanwhile, Kushi and Zebei stare in shock. Kushi whispers to the archer,
“Do you get the feeling a remnant of Ajna is rubbing off on him?”
“Knowing Ajna... She would do that too but with her axe...”
They heard a loud thump, looking to see the Haathi smashed up into pieces. Dhar wipes some sweat off his forehead, sighing in relief. That battle was probably a little harder. There’s still going to be more though... He thought.
He hears his friends call out his name, so he goes up to them. Dhar received some compliments like, “That move was genius albeit a bit brutal,” from Zebei and,”Quite a risky move but that’s great,” from Kushi.
All admiration was seized however when they heard clapping and laughing from Nashel. “Ohoho~! That is quite a splendid move, little Dhar. And you three managed to fight off the Iddhi absorbing devices really well. Bravo~! Bravo to you people~,”
She taunts, taking out a glass of iced tea out of nowhere and drinks. She adds on with her condescending tone,
“I’m sure your old man might acknowledge your power one day. Much more than the children he raised from what I heard.”
“I do not belong in that army! I don’t want to be acknowledged by one of them because of my power!” Dhar spat at her. Nashel yawns and throws her glass away, spinning a small umbrella with her fingers. “I know. But one day~...” She teleports her way up close to the young man,
“They will see how useful you are to the army.”
Nashel vanishes into a puff of mist and everyone is left creeped out from her words.

Bimonthly Media Roundup
- Wind Breaker (Anime) - Not gonna lie, I mainly picked this up because I saw this dude's (Togame's) character design in an AMV and went "All right, let's see what this is all about then". This first season has big Sk8 energy, a silly and wholesome little show about homo-erotic dudes taking their underground hobbies way too seriously. I mean that as a compliment of course, This was fun, and made me laugh quite a bit both on a genuine level and a "what is even happening boys please your all like 15 it's not that dramatic I promise" way. I do appreciate how wholesome it is with it's "a community looks after and supports each other message" and how comically put upon and cute the wet cat of a protagonist is, though occasionally the worldbuilding can get a little too silly to be honest. I mean. Does this school have any classes, or teachers, or adults in general? If the protagonist was abandoned by everyone to the point where he has no contacts in his phone, where is he getting the money to live? Why is all crime committed by or solved by gangs of roaming highschoolers? Whatever, to be honest it's not like any of that actually matters as the show is a bit self aware of it's own fantasy in a "We know it's silly, just roll with it and you'll have fun" way, which I respect. I do think it could stand to flesh out the main cast a bit more and some of the conflicts got pretty ridiculous, but the fight choreography and protagonist where fun and the mood was nice, it's a good popcorn show for people who like it's genre.
- The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash (Anime) - This was cute enough, though didn't have a lot too it. Kinda felt like a lesser version of Campfire Cooking where the cutesy protagonist befriends a rare slime and big powerful mammal then travels around a fantasy world making peoples lives better, but Campfire Cooking had good food, a faster pace, and a more substantial dynamic between the leads which is honestly really lacking here. The ending of the season was also quite strange, given there really wasn't any reason the protagonist should keep traveling other than that the story would be over if she did. Also uh slavery is a casual part of this universe which doesn't seem to bother the lead at all? Okay? I don't mean to rag on this show, it really is quite cute, I like the animation and the lead and her little slime friend, it just really needs to pick up the pace or introduce some more substantial characters for her to play off of if it wants to keep my interest.
- MSG: The Witch From Mercury (Anime) - Welp, I have a lot of mixed feelings on this one, as overall I think it is quite a good show, but on a personal level I had difficulty finishing it. This was mostly my fault to be honest, I don't usually watch TV alone and when I do it never gets my full attention (multitasking as the default), which was a pretty big mistake with a lore heavy show like this that I didn't have an English dub access too. I kept missing essential plot elements, either by my own fault or because they were never explained all that well in the beginning, so by the end I was pretty lost on what exactly was happening and what any of the characters motivations even where, lots of people just yelling and fighting while shouting sci-fi buzzwords. I take full responsibility for this as if I had been paying full attention I likely would have been pretty engaged, as I do like the idea of the protagonists having to deal with corporate politics intersecting with actual human welfare as a central plot point, as well as finding both Suletta and and Miorine to be solid characters with a really sweet and compelling relationship, but I just couldn't bring myself to get invested when I had no idea what the stakes where. Maybe I'll do a rewatch of this with a friend and see it as the masterpiece everyone else does, but for now I appreciate the yuri but could care less about the robots. Oh, also shout out to overall body/racial diversity and character design in general, that was very good too.
- The Apothecary Diaries (Manga) - Gave in and caught up on the manga rather than waiting for the anime, which I don't regret cause boy is it an interesting and bingeable series. In an effort to keep brief, everything I said about the anime still stands here, MaoMao is a fantastic protagonist, Her relationship with Jinshi is fun and her connections with the courtesans are interesting, The setting is great as are the individual mysteries, it's just a fun series all around. Weird thing about this series though is that my friend and I where both reading it yet contradicting each other, only to find out that there are two separate versions of the manga floating around, each one a different artist depicting the same novel. Very strange, though it seems like it would be fun to do a comparison between the two.
- Scavengers Reign (TV) - Only 2 episodes in so far but very cool art and weird creatures, very messed up vibes, I'm liking it.
- When the Third Wheel Strikes Back (Webcomic) - Caught up with Season 2, which has a new artsyle. On the whole the art is definitely better, the backgrounds, clothing variety, magic effects, and overall framing of the panels has improved, but I will say I rather liked the softer, more rounded look of a lot of the people in the old style, particularly the lead. Plot wise I'm liking the faster pace and look into Jesse's relatives that season 2 is offering, as well as more quality time with the 3 leads together.
- Yellowjackets (TV) - We'll save the survivalist lesbian cannibalism show for next time, but uh the mystery has been pretty cool with this one.
- Dungeon Meshi (Manga) - Yup Yup.
- Genshin Impact (Video Game) - Yup.
Listening To: Dial Drunk by Chloe Breez, Rule #18 - Lion by Fish in a Birdcage, Let Me Love You by Alex Goot, The Killing Kind by Marianas Trench, Hear You Me by Jimmy Eat World, Feeling Good and Stick Season by Reinaeiry, Break My Heart by Hey Violet, Could Have Been Me by The Struts, The Main Character by Will Wood, Rabbit Heart by Florence + The Machine, Bittersweet by Panic! MM Classpecting: 707
Zen Classpect
Yoosung Classpect
Jaehee Classpect
Jumin Classpect
Saeyoung's ended up being one of the longest. I had as much difficulty classpecting him as I did with Zen.
Personality/General Info: Outwardly, outgoing, cheerful, and bizarre. He pranks Yoosung and makes fun of everyone (including himself). Jokester. Likes cars, cats, and hacking. Inwardly, he is depressed and serious and thinks nothing good will happen to him. Afraid to endanger people due to his job and past. Will express affection to MC when convinced that she accepts him for who he is. At the end of the route, he returns to who he is but toned down. Like a mix of both. Catholic. Is a genius hacker, and can be very logical at times. Likes to crossdress and is canonically attracted to both men and women! Loves space, constantly talking about going to the moon during Christmas DLC.
Seven wanted to change his future. When he and his twin were hidden from the world due to his Prime Minister father, he took it upon himself to learn hacking from a book, and promised Saeran they would run away together. Took on a new name when he started working as a hacker. Was not allowed to take Saeran. He refused at first, but after a lot of convincing from V, left Saeran with them.
LOVES Saeran. So much. In the SEs, he still takes care of him even when he tries to kill him. Wants to protect everyone in the RFA which is why he doesn’t let them get too close to him beyond the happy-go-lucky surface. Made a twitter bot to post Zen’s selfies. He wants to help Zen’s career. Good friends with Yoosung, playing pranks on him all the time. Jaehee is exasperated with him, but she acknowledges that he is a genius and does care about him. Jumin is displeased by the way he treats Elly, but still cares about his well being.
He constantly tries to protect others. His twin Saeran from his mother. MC from the hacker threat. Tries to protect the whole RFA by not divulging his identity. Seven used to be a serious workaholic with a robotic personality who studied during the day, worked at night, and barely slept. This all changed when Seven received a floppy disk with Saeran's smiling photographs on his 20th Birthday from Rika, showing how happy Saeran was after Seven left.
Role in Narrative: He is always the one fending off the hacker trying to get into the RFA app. Is connected to V and Rika. His role is huge in the main story, the SEs being largely about the twins as well as V/Rika.
Active or Passive: In his route he actively goes to the apartment and confronts Unknown. His character conflict is balancing between protecting people and keeping them at a distance. This makes him severely depressed and lonely. He deprives himself from the things he wants, doing things to benefit others and push them away if that protects them. He is passive because everything he does is for others.
For Saeyoung I will present the Class, then the Aspect, then I will explain how it all applies to him.
Classpect - Knight of Space: One who serves Space, or serves through Space for others.
This is what the Hiveswap Extended Zodiac has to say about the Space Aspect:
"Those bound to the aspect of Space are, as the name suggests, concerned with the big picture. They are patient, masters of the art of 'wait-and-see', and are inclined to take things as they come. That isn't to say that they're pushovers or willing to let injustice lie-they just choose their battles wisely, understanding that sometimes you have to let something burn to the ground in order to build it back better and stronger than before. To this effect, they tend to be innovators, concerned with creation and redemption. Catch them recycling the old to make the new, the fresh, and the beautiful. For the Space-bound, the journey is as, if not more, important than the destination; how they do something is as important as what they do. At their best, they are steady, impartial, and creative. At their worst, they can be detached, apathetic, and vague."
I personally think Space symbolizes distance, isolation, size, shape, creation and growth.
How this all applies to Saeyoung: HE’S A KNIGHT OF SPACE AHHHHHH As a Knight, Saeyoung would be lacking Space in his story. When he was a child, he lived in a cramped house with his twin and mother. If you consider the beginning of his story to be when he’s in his 20s, his bunker is messy, space taken up by junk. He is the most isolated RFA member physically and emotionally distant (we aren’t counting V). He puts up a front as a jokester, which isn’t a complete lie, but he is hiding his true self. He’s a secret agent with a dangerous job, with a twin brother out there that he needs to protect and is hiding from his father who wants to kill him. Of course, he is going to keep a deliberate distance. Before MC joins the RFA we don’t see Saeyoung in many pictures with the RFA, an example being during Yoosung’s graduation where he couldn’t attend due to being abroad. He is vague and mysterious.
Also Saeyoung’s outfits. I argue he’s the member we see with the most outfit variation. We could word this in another way: he changes his physical form/way he looks constantly. The outfits he wears are sometimes even bizarre. We find out he has to crossdress for his job as a secret agent, and often as a woman due to his small stature. A tendency to be found within Space Players is changing their physical form/look to reach their ideal selves. This is sort of reflected at the end of 707’s route, with him discarding his hoodie and going for white and black shirts, symbolizing his shift in personality (from 707/Luciel to just Saeyoung). Basically, he reaches his ideal form/self by the end of everything in the SEs. This is permanently reflected in his being referred to as Saeyoung Choi from now on.
Another connection he has to space is his love for cats. He loves Elizabeth the 3rd and wants to foster life, a recurring theme with Space players. They are in charge of creating the Genesis Frog, after all. But he’s bad at it, only hurting Elly whenever he’s near her. He builds robot cats and dogs instead, an artificial form of life. When it comes to the dog robot, I believe he builds things when he’s stressed out. He builds the cat for MC and it detects when someone is stressed and goes to comfort them. Again, Saeyoung made something to benefit someone else, and it is an artificial form of life. Perhaps a part of him creates these toys out of loneliness, due to how many years he spent separated from Saeran. This is a constant theme for Space, to be distanced from the people they love either willingly or by fate.
He experiences true and utter loneliness for a period of time. We hear about this from Vanderwood, and how before he received that floppy disk from Rika with the pictures of Saeran, he used to be a robot working day and night. No emotions. Usually, for Space players, this isolation needs to happen so that they gain a deeper understanding of Space. This understanding would help them work toward reaching their ideal selves.
Another way Saeyoung is distanced from everyone is his genius status as a hacker, mechanic, and his interests. Jaehee and Zen are mostly confused by his jokes and antics. Jumin and Saeyoung share their love for cats, but Saeyoung’s treatment of Elly puts a wedge between them. Yoosung and Saeyoung both like LOLOLOL but Saeyoung is a better player, and has a lot going for him outside of it. He is an eccentric person with abilities and interests that can seem unusual (cross-dressing and being a genius programmer). This isolates him from normal people.
The Space imagery going on with him, too, adds to this. He is surrounded by this Aspect constantly. His character arc in the end is beating this loneliness and isolation by reaching out to MC. This then further breaks his isolation by closing the distance between himself and everyone he loves (RFA and Saeran). He acts as a Knight of Space by Serving Space to others. Namely, giving Space between himself and others for their safety.
I think that this is a struggle for the Space bond, they are adept with things within their reach, taking direct and physical action. If it's out of their reach, it is near impossible for them to do anything. He has limited reach over things that are not his domain due to his father hunting him, causing him to become isolated. The things within his domain (programming, building robots, secret agent stuff) he takes direct and physical action. Stuff other than that, it's basically impossible for him to have.
Knights utilize their Aspect earlier compared to other classes, just like how Saeyoung was able to pick up programming rather quickly. He uses his programming to serve the RFA. He works for the agency for Saeran’s sake, and you could argue that programming requires some level of creativity, where you have to adapt with your coding. Space is about growth and creation, taking something that is already there and making it into something new. You could argue the process of working with code as a programmer requires Saeyoung to do just that. He also does this with the dog robot/toys. Growth for Space includes physical and emotional, and we see this in his route. Saeyoung grows to realize that distancing himself from MC Isn’t the way to protect her, and is just hurting her more. Finding out V lied to him, Saeyoung comes to realize what is truly important to him. He repairs the cat robot he made for MC (Space, Space, Space) and they vow to go off to save Saeran. He adopts his real name by that point, symbolizing his growth. He now wants to save and protect the RFA, MC, and Saeran (Knight, Knight, Knight).
EDIT: Also as a Knight of Space, even the career that Saeyoung wants is connected to his role. He tells MC in his route that he wants to become a toy maker. Creation is one of the facets of Space, and making toys and selling them is basically him Serving Space.
He completes his journey as the Knight of Space in the SEs, ultimately getting a happy ending. He triumphed over the antagonistic forces within the narrative and broke away from the isolation plaguing the Space bond. He reaches his ideal self and changes his name to Saeyoung Choi.
Now that we did the 5 main routes, the next posts will get into the antagonists of MM! Saeran was... very difficult to classpect to say the least.

Interstellar (2014) Is A Barry 63 Film
Barry 63: A man photographed with a pint of lager in his hand, the type of man you would see in your local racist pub with the England flag on one wall and the dartboard across from it.
I have never seen a Christopher Nolan film in my life, I think that is one of the most important first things I have to say on this matter. I know nothing about him or his real niche in film, but I think I'm starting to get it. I watched this film on a whim; I had spent my afternoon browsing videos on YouTube from different people discussing the House Oversight video that has just come out of former U.S Intelligence Official David Grusch vaguely confirming that aliens are real. Before he gets pressed into further questioning and he's all like oh lol I can't talk about that part publicly,,,, as if the guy didn't just tell the entire planet that the U.S are storing 'non human' items and living beings somewhere. Anyway. The point is through these videos, a lot of YouTuber's then began to comment on their fascination with space and the idea of other life on other planets, and this went onto another tangent where Interstellar had been vaguely referenced as a point of reference for interest in the galaxy and further out. I guess this is what originally drew me to wanting to watch the film.
Furthermore, there is a lot about Nolan in the press right now, especially with the recent release of Oppenheimer; a movie I literally could not go and see in the cinema because I would so have an autistic meltdown over *that* atomic bomb scene. I've seen the scene anyway since a wonderful person on TikTok decided to film just that one scene in the cinema and post it online. So I decided to do some delving into Interstellar. My boyfriend told me to the best way to consume the film was to not keep turning the volume up and down (something you need to do a lot) because I would get jumpscared by the sudden loud noises, usually of rockets and space explosions. It was easier to instead turn the subtitles on and really listen because if there's anything about Nolan, it's that he loves to mess around with the sound mixing to the point you have no idea what the characters are even saying just so Nolan can make the film more 'realistic', he doesn't need to. I know for a fact I'm not in space.
The film starts off in a post apocalyptic timeline; the crops are starting to run out, your teachers are encouraging you to run a farm in order to survive while also debunking any theories that working with NASA is a terrible idea while you run for your life wearing goggles and facemasks every time the dust storms begin to rage from afar. Life on Earth is doomed, there isn't much time left and scientists are scrambling to find a way to fix that. Cooper is an ex NASA pilot who spends the early plot tending to his farm and looking after his son Tom* who seems to be failing his classes and Murphy, his daughter who follows the same interest in space and figuring out theories and morse code. Murphy is convinced there is a ghost living in her room, a ghost that knocks particular books off the shelf and as a child she tries to discover what is being communicated to her. Cooper on the other hand is convinced that this is actually a gravitational anomaly.
*did I mention that young Tom is played by our favourite Timoji Chalamat, but I feel like people kind of forget that because this was pre Call Me By Your Name? Slay
One night Cooper and Murphy take off to discover where these anomaly's are coming from, discovering some coordinates that end up taking them to a top secret NASA facility; they are stopped and snatched by some robots. The facility is run by Doctor Brand and it took me a good 5 minutes to realise that it was the Michael Caine. So Doctor Brand reveals to them that he is currently searching for an exoplanet, that a wormhole has opened up by Saturn and that he is organising a group to fly into that wormhole and to discover a planet that humans can move to with the apocalypse riling up in a matter of years. Cooper takes off with Romilly, Doyle and Amelia (Brand's daughter).
On the day of the departure Murphy has a massive strop, begging her father not to go even after he convinces her that he will be back, but she gets even more upset when she learns that even he doesn't know when he will come back.
When the gang get to the other side, they discover three different planets that are orbiting a supermassive black hole (Gargantua). The gang take their craft to the surface of the first planet; it has calm shallow waters and Amelia discovers some debris fairly quickly. She decides to run towards the mountains to collect more data before Cooper realises that those are not mountains, they are tsunami sized waves. It's not a tsunami okay I am just using that for the size reference. Anyway, he makes everyone hurry back to the craft so they can get out of there alive, losing Doyle to the large waves. The craft also nearly gets flooded due to the size of the waves and being thrown all over the place, but it does dry out with little damage over a short period of time. They return back to the base in an hour, which actually turns out to be 23 years in human time due to the time dilation from Gargantua's gravity. Is this sounding simple enough? I am trying to use as little science words as possible even though this is a science fiction film because I always found science so interesting, but yet I was always so bad at it. Back to the plot of the film, during Coopers time on the first planet which is travelling around the supermassive black hole, Murphy begins to work with Doctor Brand in order to help him with the investigation. Iconic considering she wouldn't even speak to her own father when he left.
So the crew (minus Doyle rip girl) travel to the second planet. This one is theoretically the ice age and the gang wake up Dr Mann, a very well respected scientist who has been in a state of cryostasis for however many years. The future looks brighter with this one because it would seem that Mann had collected a lot more data which could suggest this planet is more than capable of being able to contain human life. We've always wanted to live in the ice age on a different galaxy haven't we? But as it turns out Mann was a big fat liar and he faked the data in the hopes that Brand would see it and would send somebody out to rescue him, which clearly didn't happen. At the same time (well not really because of time dilation but you know what I mean) Dr Brand is dying in the hospital and he requested for Murphy to speak to him. When she arrives to see him, Brand also admits he's a big fat stinking liar. He was not even close to the answers for the gravity equation thus meaning he has sent out Murphy's dad and Brand's own daughter on what is basically a suicide mission.
As it turns out after this, Mann becomes even more problematic. He sets up a booby trap in his base and blows up Romilly and then goes out of his way to attempt to kill Cooper. Something very iconic about watching a space dude smack his helmet against another space dudes helmet until suddenly Cooper is running out of air and he is left to die. Except he doesn't the absolute mad lad. I'm starting to think at this point that Cooper might just be one of those people who can never die no matter what obstacle you throw their way.
In the process of Mann trying to hijack the Endurance and make it about him, he manages to blow himself up because he decides to be a bloke and not read any of the instructions or safety steps. Cooper somehow manages to control the now heavily damaged spacecraft. But wait, there's more...
Time is running out swiftly, the rocket no longer has enough fuel for the two to finish the job and they are trying to rack up ways on how they are going to get what they need from the third and final planet. Cooper decides that he is going to execute a fuel burn to be able to reach a speed where the spacecraft would actually arrive to the planet. The problem? Cooper would need to sacrifice his own life in order to carry out the task. The spacecraft detaches and Cooper quite literally falls through a black hole. Being sucked into such a thing, you would die right? RIGHT? No.
Cooper ends up in a five dimensional tesseract where he comes back into contact with Murphy trying to figure out the Morse code or in other lives, trying to get him to convince himself not to go onto this trip into space where the whole operation is ran by a big fat stinking liar. Basically he manages to communicate with Murphy in Morse code in one life while basically being in the walls. Theoretically coming up with the idea that humans have the ability to communicate with people in the past through time-travelling techniques. Does that make sense? Probably not, I think even for me this is all starting to feel a little bit too technological with lots of big words. Cooper manages to communicate what Murphy is looking for so she is able to save the dystopian hell she is living in where humans are now on the verge of being wiped out.
These future beings then transport him close to Saturn where he wakes up at the ripe age of 124 years old. He is taken to see Murphy who is now elderly and in the hospital; she has managed to use the gravity equation to enable human's to safely live on a planet that isn't Earth. She feels satisfied and tells her father to seek out Amelia who is seen on another planet taking off her helmet for the first time, ending on a note where she has found another planet that is capable of human life.
I think it's really cool for a film to actually end on a nice positive note, I feel like any movie that isn't pushed for the child audience usually means that the film will end up being depressing with a horrible ending. It's also weird because I feel like Nolan makes movies that all have over dramatic depressing endings. Especially considering that this movie is marketed to blokes, absolutely nobody else. The people who think Elon Musk is the most amazing man to live are the same people to say this is the best film to ever exist. It is full of loud rocket noises for the Musk wet dream, but I do actually think this is a good movie. I very much enjoyed it and it was a nice introduction to Nolan,,, and no I am not going to watch Oppenheimer in the cinema because I think how loud the movie is will literally kill me off.

Anthony's Stupid Daily Blog (855): Sat 20th Jul 2024
While I was taking a piss in the toilet cubicle at work this morning I saw that there was an advert on the cubicle door and by advert I don't mean "I FUCK YOUR MUM WHILE YOU WATCH" I mean a job advertisement. It was an apprenticeship to learn how to fix the robots that carry the big pillars with all the packages in them across the factory floor. At first I thought that this would be a cool new skill to learn (Or in my case it would be the first skill I have ever learned) but the more I thought about it I realised this would not be for me because I have limited use of my right hand thanks to my ulnar nerve operation from fifteen years ago which come to think of it would be a great way of fooling people into thinking that I could have been a heart surgeon too. If I were to tell people that I was well on the way to becoming a world class heart surgeon but tragically had to abandon this magnanimous career path then showed them my hand they would be unlikely to doubt my authenticity when they see the wasted muscles unless they were completely cynical dicks. Imagine if you were in need of a heart operation and you when the anesthetic wore off the surgeon said "The operation was a success I've fixed your rectum so the flatulence won't be as pungent any more" and when you told him that you needed emergency surgery the surgeon gasped and said "Oh my word there's been some sort of horrible mix up. I'm the world's most famous FART surgeon, not HEART surgeon. That's why people should always text me not ring me. This is the fourth time this has happened!". So while learning how to fix the robots would be a lucrative career move sadly it looks like it's not to be which is a bit of a shame because when the robots eventually take over they will have to spare the lives of some of the humans with mechanical expertise in order to fix them when they break down. However unlike humans, robots won't prioritise giving jobs to the good looking candidates so this would be one job my nice juicy arse wouldn't be able to secure me. As you can probably tell from this torrent of drivel you've just stifled your vomit in order to get through fuck all of any interest happened today. Tonight was the debut of a new ITV comedy called "Piglets" which has caused a bit of a stir in recent weeks because it concerns incompetent police officers and the real police consider this to be incredibly offensive to them. No doubt they must feel similarly slighted whenever they see Chief Wiggum or any of the Brooklyn 99 crew on the TV because any fictional police officer who isn't portrayed as being a heroic, resourceful genius is clearly a sign that the creator of siad character doesn't respect the police force and wishes they were all dead. Personally I think if the creators of this show want to avoid angering the police any further they should just make all the episodes about the fictional cops dealing with shoplifters because then the real police probably won't even bother watching (unless the items stolen in the show are worth over £200 of course)

I need help to figure out if it is a piece made up by my brain during sleep or if it is an actual show/musical I remember slivers of.
It is about someone surrounded by winged, wingless fairies, different kinds of fairies and other magical beings. I think MC was your standard typical winged fairy. Her kind was ruled by someone who sorted the folk into classes and she managed to be more of the upper middle class while her parents were lower class.
She wanted to bring peace and make the ruler disappear. She had turned her back to the fairies in her class to secretly meet her parents and plead for them to leave so they won't get hurt. Unfortunately she was seen visit her family (she wasn't allowed any contact with them) and had to run.
During her time escaping the grasp of the ruler she got to meet other beings (winged mermaids, normal mermaids, elves, trolls, in my dream earlier ther were Sonic the hedgehog and some other crossover characters which were definitely not in the actual thing if it was a show and not my imagination)
In the end, she and the friends she made along the way rose against the ruler who had an artifact that would release a very strong spirit, allowing the ruler to face the rioting people. The end is something like they surround the ruler, claiming that even if the wind would rip through their wings they would fight and win (likely with the power of love and friendship or something)
They win and then it sort of cuts off. I remember in my dream asking my mother desperately for the name of the show/musical and it was something like "fairy of the wind".
It was not the first time I had this dream but this time (although I am rapidly forgetting a bunch of stuff it had in it as I am typing this) it was very detailed and made sense during it's runtime in my head. I do have reoccuring dreams a lot but this one felt so familiar for me having dreamt of it about twice before last night.
The feeling was if you mixed wonderland, wizard of Oz and Studio Ghibli with a fairytale like story with actually some murder (a couple fairies who disobeyed had to deing poison in front of everybody before she met her family secretly), unhealthy personality traits from other characters like manipulation, liying, narcicism, etc. But in a very gentle dream like way of telling the story.
I also dreamt about Yu-Gi-Oh but with him piloting a mech and other pilot souls stuck in his big ass pyramid necklace who help him and partially take over control of the mech. That would change the eyes of the robot and kind of show how strong and how much of a threat the mech is at that moment lol
But I literally would do anything to see if that I described above is in an actual movie/show (I remember knowing the first of like 4 movies to be stuck in my head the most but the whole story took like 4 movies according to my dream self)
I remember in another dream having seen a book I could have sworn was real but it didn't exist (or at least not with the title it had in my dream) and it made me so sad because knowing the contents of that book in my dreams was so dear to my dream self. I don't remember the title anymore tho. It's been like 5 years since I last had that specific dream...
I just think my dream experience of seeing the show was so comforting and nostalgic idk man I just have to share and give it a try or I might actually try and write that as a book so that it can actually exist...
Thanks so much for reading
#literally something I dreamt about and now need to know if it's real#dream#reading dreams#dream signs#idk what tags to put to find the right audience#fairy#story of a fairy#fairy of the wind#fairy riot against evil ruler dream#Yu-Gi-Oh as Mechs dream#meaning of dreams#dream story#i dreamt about it what does it mean#i dreamt#can anyone relate?#original story#original musical#original show#nostalgia#idk if I make any sense but I just pray this reaches somebody

Notes Day 1, 2 and 3
When we talk about design, it's like going on a journey to figure out what people need and like for a specific problem. It's like using a map to understand how people feel and what they prefer.
Imagine thinking about designs not just for now but also for the past and the future. That's what Speculative Design is all about. It's like playing with ideas that go beyond time limits. It helps us think about different futures and challenges the things we already believe about design.
Critical Design is like asking a lot of questions about how things are in society. It comes from making products but aims to make us think and talk about important stuff. It's like a tool that helps us make smart design choices.
Now, Design Fiction is like telling stories using design. It's like making up tales about what might happen in the future. It mixes things that are not real with things that could be real, making us think about what might be possible.
And when we combine Speculative Design with storytelling, we get Speculative Design Fiction. This is when we use stories and things we create to make people think hard about how technology and society might change.
Designing for the future means thinking about different possibilities. It's like preparing for what might happen next. We use critical design ideas to help us make decisions right now.
Now, think of Forensic Architecture like being a detective but for buildings. It helps us figure out problems with buildings, like fixing old monuments or figuring out patterns in history. It's like being a detective in the world of design.
Love Death Robots Class: A Look at Some Cool Stories - My First Dive into Speculative Design!
So, imagine my excitement when we started this class watching something called Love Death Robots. I had no idea what speculative design was, and speculative videos sounded like some kind of secret code to me.
Day 1 - ICE AGE, When the Yoghurt Took Over, Zima Blue:
Okay, so ICE AGE was like this crazy trip through time and different worlds. It was funny, and I had no clue what was happening, but it got us talking about the future. Then, "When the Yoghurt Took Over" - yup, it's as weird as it sounds. But wait, it's not really about yoghurt; it's more like a funny way of saying something about us humans. "Zima Blue" was all artsy and deep, making me think about the meaning of life. I didn't get it all, but it looked cool! I did like the storytelling used to depict the robots life as a human it was quite fascinating.
Days 2 & 3 - 3 Robots, Mason’s Rats, Pop Squad, Drowned Giant:
Now, 3 Robots was hilarious! Imagine robots with personalities and emotions after humans are gone. And then, "Mason’s Rats" - rats and humans being buddies? Seriously weird, but it was kinda cute and made me laugh. "Pop Squad" made me feel a bit sad, like a possible future where things aren't so great for us. And "Drowned Giant" - okay, that one was confusing and a bit creepy, but it stuck with me.
So, after all this, I'm still not sure I fully get what speculative design is, but it's like imagining crazy cool things for the future. It's not just about designing stuff; it's about telling stories and making us think. I guess my outlook now is like, "Whoa, design can be wild and make you see things differently!"

BEAST WARS DELUXE CLASS JETSTORM (1997)
"What a strange way to start this review series." You may think, as you sit reading this post, sipping a finely aged glass of champagne. What else would you be doing? You, the eloquent and poised member of my audience I know that you are. Of all places to start, over the wide 40 year timespan of this accursed franchise we call "Transformers", why here? Why with Beast Wars Jetstorm? A Deluxe Class 2nd Year Beast Wars flunkey without a second of legitimate screentime?
My reason? Because I wanted to. As much as I love and respect you, audience member, this line of questioning is getting well out of hand. Now I would appreciate if you cooled off, slowed down on the alcohol intake (I think you've had enough) and listen what I have to say.
Here begins, the first of many;
Two Haiku Transformers Toy Review!
Robot Mode:
Even for Beast Wars figure, this guy is a little strange. Mind you, not the strangest. Figures such as the Fuzors still exist, but this guy still takes weird and gives it a run for its money. It's hard to say the figure's neon orange, jet black and dark jade colours mix all too well, but it's certainly very interesting to look at. What elevates this figures somewhat lackluster palette choice is its use of translucent plastic. This figure has excellent light piping that is incorporated seamlessly into the rest of the design. If you take it outside and thrust it under one of the sun's glorious rays, the figure practically springs to life with 3 beady green eyes. It's charming. That's how I would best describe this figure. Charming.
It's weird four mandible head pushes it to the very corners of humanism. In an attempt to integrate with earth's ecosystem, this guy has found himself in love with the muck, the slime and the many bogs of our planet. This coincides especially with his main, water squirting gimmick. Small beams of liquid can squirt in somewhat impressive jets from his mouth due to a pump mechanism housed on his tail. Unfortunately, due to age, or perhaps the clear plastic itself, the fin on my figure has snapped. The gimmick is still usable despite the damage, so I found myself surprisingly unbothered. I assume this is where the figure gets its name, "Jetstorm". Credit where credit is due on Kenner/Hasbro's behalf as this name is well-used, apt and clever.
Due to the nature of this gimmick, this figure's robot's mode is rather kibblesome. Personally, this is no problem for me, I can accept it as part of the off-the-wall unweildy design. But to someone such as you, I can see why it may end up a point of contension. One bit of kibble even I refuse to excuse is the arms. The beast mode eyes become these weird cosmonaut bubble wrist gauntlets, that only serve to make the figure cumbersome. This time not in a charming way. If you want to hide these very obvious forearm eyeballs, then you can spin the lower arm, revealing a rather annoying screw, front and centre on each arm.
Still, overall the robot mode is compelling in a way extremely typical of niché Beast Wars figures. It looks like something dredged from the bottom of the Black Lagoon. Or the result of an entire barrel's worth of toxic waste falling on a lonely Dragonfly. Either way, I love it.
Beast Mode:
Transforming to beast mode is a satisfying and acceptably snappy affair, which results in a very competent Dragonfly. The black from the kibble carapace comes in to switch the figures colour-scheme to that of a darker tone, with highlights of light orange and translucent green. Four wings on its back pivot and swivel, the two lower wings having less poseability than the uppermost ones. Were it not for the leggy undercarriage, I would deign to call this Beast Mode near-perfect. Unfortunately in the universe we inhabit, we are not blessed with such transcendant levels of engineering. Still, as a semi-realistic dragonfly, it's not a bad attempt. Before I forget, it's important to acknowledge the flip-out missiles. By pressing a button on its upper tail/ lower back (?) two small boxy rocket launchers snap out at a surprisingly fast speed. Once they're out you can press on the top of the launchers to fire a snot green missile. Standard stuff really. Just make sure you give the rockets enough clearance.
Conclusion
I would be amiss if I didn't mention my emotional connection to this little dude. He's one of the first Transformers I collected when I started out doing so in serious capacity as an adult. I remember seeing him, thinking "A Transformer that turns into a dragonfly?? COOL!!!" and immediately purchasing him. Oh what moving displays of wonder and innocence. Even now, as the wretched husk I find myself transformed into (My alternate mode is me, but 4 years older. It takes 4 years to transform into this mode, as you might imagine) it's very easy to find things to enjoy in this figure.
Rating:
4.1/5
A brush with greatness.
...
Light of day burns his
wretched den of mire and murk,
home to the fiercest.
More beast than machine,
jetstorm patrols open air,
sharp as guillotine.

Blog #6 - The Final One
I truly can NOT believe that this is my last (required) blog post for my class, Sunken Place: Racism, Survival, and Black Horror Aesthetic. And I gotta say, my Professor saved the best for last. In Week 10 of our notoriously fast paced quarter terms, we had a Student Showcase of the various final projects us students turned in. Sharing was optional. It was split into two groups on two different days. Tuesday was reserved for showcasing student short films and Thursday was reserved for students to read excerpts of their short stories / essays.
And although Professor Due let us know, right from the get-go back in Week 1, that we were going to be amazed by the talent our fellow students had (and which I totally believed!) I honestly was not prepared for the creative projects the students came up with.
The student films were some of the most inventive, creative, short films I have ever seen. Honestly, truly. There was one about a fashion vampire. Who, while dreaming about her upcoming fashion show walk – actually sleepwalks and attacks people at night – all while being unawares. The film ends with breaking the fourth wall – with the Vampiress looking into the camera, blood and surprise etched on her face, and then quick cut to black. It was phenomenal! It also had really funny but subtle moments, like when she went to bed wearing a Red Cross Blood Drive tee-shirt. It was so good I’m still thinking about it. I think it would make for an interesting mini TV show or something. And the student had no previous writing/director experience – I Just Can’t!
My personal fave (though, my goodness, holy moly, were they all so frickin’ good), was called Black Out. And this was my fave for a variety of reasons – but it had to do with group projects – and every single student who has ever had to do a group project in university knows this is the real struggle and horror of college. It also had to do with racism and the writer/director/actor built their own lore that tied this horror with the horror of racism and the theme of revenge. And again, this was her first time making her own video. It’s. Just. In. Sane.
And we can’t forget the short stories! Holy cow! There was a mix of people that had written before (and even for some TV/Networks, so they had industry experience) but also new writers who had never written a horror short story before (or anything) and/or never read/shared their stories out loud before. And I am so glad that they did! There wasn’t a single story that I didn’t want to read in its entirety. As a voracious reader, I need published versions of these NOW. And again, we had around a handful of students share their stories and there was no overlap of ideas – just like with the short films. There were some common themes, though they were used differently (cautionary tale vs consequences vs historical, etc.), but they were all different. There were (essentially slave) Robots, Creepy Carnivals, Black Holes/The Void and Alternative Timelines, and Historical Horror.
I can not imagine even having an ounce of the creativity, originality, imagination, etc. that these individuals do. My professor was right, though I did not doubt it, I sure as heck did not know how talented these individuals were.
I am honored to have watched these films and heard these stories. I hope that everyone who shared/presented continues writing/directing/acting and most importantly – keep sharing.
One of the biggest takeaways of this class – especially as we near the end – is the state of Black Horror and its Future. Black Horror has come a long way – especially with the help of Jordan Peele and the massive success of Get Out, as many artists were inspired by this. TV show/film/novels, etc. would not have been able to be created without this piece of Black Horror genius. Not only is this now a major revenue producing genre of the industry but there are more and more marginalized voices reclaiming Blackness and Horror and the way they relate to each other.
Black Horror is in its Renaissance Era.
And if the voices of the videos I watched and the stories I heard this week are any indication of the future of Black Horror – there is nothing to fear.

Okay, I'm going to try and make this one brief because we are T minus 60 minutes until the next ep!!!
*a note from 30 minutes in the future: tumblr did something and deleted ALL I had written and I was SO close to the end I'm going to cry!!! GHA!!!! But here I go again!!!*
Okay, I NEED to see that Wrecker fanart!! That's PERFECT!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 And as rats are part and parcel with chickens (trust me, I've had chickens my entire life and where there are chickens, there's food, and that means there's rats!), Wrecker would also figure out little explosive...insurances that there aren't any infestations ;)
Whereabouts in Europe are you from? Are you going to Celebration this year??? I live in the US but I'm Italian and Croatian on my mom's side and I'd love to visit there!!
I hadn't thought about Cid being interrogated like that but it makes sense! As for Crosshair, what about this: They made a point of showing that Rampart learned that the Batch was alive, now that he's imprisoned he spills those beans, and they figure that interrogating Crosshair might be a good way to try and figure out where they are so they can get Omega.
History is so awesome and interesting! I'm also not well versed in the EU and Legends stuff, but I'm looking forward to learning more! I got a lot of books to read! :P
Ep 5 was the weakest of the bunch for me, but it was still a fun Indiana Jones-style adventure. And if it's there just to get to know Phee better, I'm okay with that :)
"emotionally constipated space monk wizards" I LOVE IT!! 😂😂😂
So many threads, so little time. Though hopefully they'll get enough time to tell aaaaall the stories they want to tell!! But yes, let's not make kidnapping/rescue the go-to plot for each finale, yes? :P
"an old geezer with magic powers, a whiny teenager who never stepped foot outside his backyard, an asshole smuggler, a giant 7-foot-tall lump of hair, a robot with an anxiety disorder, an astromech who had more war crimes under his belt than the damn emperor himself and a girl whose entire civilization was destroyed and acted like it was nothing" - YOU DID IT AGAIN!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And that is SO true about R2! You know what I need to see? R2 and Chopper just going on a completely unhinged rampage! Who needs a ragtag group of misfits or an elite squad of enhanced soldiers? You just need those two and you're good!! hahaha
Yup, the top part is just the hanger. Time to get sneaking!!
Yeah, unknowns are scary, but I'm sure as I do more research, take some classes, and get some experience things will feel a lot better. Then it'll just be a matter of getting jobs! hahaha! My gosh there are SO many different British accents! It can be hard to pin some of them down, make sure you're getting the sounds and inflections right... One weird thing with me is sort of mixing up or switching between Scottish/Irish when I'm trying to do one, or Aussie and Kiwi as well! One thing I find helps me is just listening to videos on youtube or finding movies/TV shows of people speaking with those accents to help solidify them in my brain. But my GOSH DBB is the GOAT!!!! Total idol!!! Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement! You are so sweet and kind! I hope your endeavors in leaning a British accent go well! I'm sure you'll get the hang of it! :D Go us! Woot!! *hugshugshugs*
I like your TBB season outline! Makes sense to me! Let's go it!!!!!
OH MY GOSH THAT IS SUCH A SAD IDEA!!! 😭😭😭😭 I don't know if I'll ever be ready to see Rex die! but whenever that time comes I hope they do it in animation. I just feel like since we started the journey with Rex and Ahsoka in animation form with Dee and Ashley, it's only fitting to end it that way, too. It's more familiar and therefore would be more impactful and would be a great way to bookend it. But I'm okay with that being a veeeeery long way off!!!
I love the idea of seeing all of this galactic-level stuff seen through the eyes of a normal person. POV is a powerful thing in storytelling and that would be great to see!!
Hey, if stupid is the reason we get these amazing shows, I'm okay with that! :P
OH MY GOSH I LOVE ALL OF YOUR IDEAS!!!!!! If there's anything I can do to help just let me know! I'm a beta reader and actually have a degree in creative writing, so yes! Please don't hesitate to ask! More than happy to help!! Bring on the angst and fluff!!! THIS is me! Hope you like what you see :)
It is exactly 1 minute until the next ep so I am not getting to your reddit response tonight! Best of luck with your classes! And enjoy the ep!!
Pleasure to meet you, Asia! I'm on discord, too! Feel free to drop a friend request! This is me: Arlothia#1777 Maybe we can move both threads of conversation over there so it's in one place!
And now... I WATCH!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tell me what you think because I realised this shit as I was falling asleep and I now I can't go unless I get it out there:
Does the colour scheme of the background sort of look like the colour scheme of the houses and buildings on Pabu?
So, theory: Cid didn't sound...normal? the last time she contacted the guys and it's actually because the empire has gotten hold of her to try to bait the bad batch into coming into contact with her again. Well, that didn't work, so Cid suggests contacting Echo alone and tells him about Cross needing help (she knows the group has split) and that checks the "Cid is going to betray them" checkbox. Echo and Rex fall for it, contact the rest of the batch because they are going to need as much help as they can get in infiltrating Tantiss, and head to Pabu to rendezvous. That's where we get the long awaited Echo and Omega reunion. The group head to Tantiss, get Crosshair out, but in the process Omega is captured. They are forced to leave her to save injured/drugged/traumatised/comatose Cross and themselves. We open season 3 on Omega being experimented on or being mistreated to get Nala Se to cooperate.
#me#mine#i-dont-know-how-this-site-works#tbb#the bad batch#star wars the bad batch#discussion#analysis#my GOSH this is freaking long!!! hahaha
