4 - What kink pairs best with omorashi or pee desperation for you?
another one while I'm running on 3 hours of sleep a day for the last week and sipping on a super caffeinated rockstar at nighttime o'clock
when I first read this question, my immediate reaction was "bondage." It tends to be what I go to for any prompt idea (from being tied up and forced to wait to being dangled in the air to being stuck upside down). I'm a person that gives in easily to the alarm bells in my head, to the point where I genuinely either need someone right there to keep me from running off or I need to be tied up and left to lose control. My willpower is weak, I need to not have a choice in the matter.
Also though, and I FULLY blame longterm exposure to Tumblr kink circles . . . puppyplay too. And/or robotplay(? pretending to be a robot). I react to praise and not being seen as a human, and it's the concept of wanting to be good and domesticated even in the face of an unfair/impossible situation that really does it for me. Or again, being given no other choice because I am, in fact, not something that has choices. Even in a dom situation, simply following protocol and not being allowed to budge and let the other go.
And the puppy pads. Gotta love being able to pee anywhere.
#rashi answers#omorashi#pee kink#please keep sending me numbers to respond to#i havent bought the puppy pads just yet but Im planning to as a little reward for getting through the semester#also its been a journey to realize that even if I am a switch. I am a lot more soft and subby than I previously thought#to the point where one of my friends just stopped and called me a soft top based on my traumadumping alone. I was so mad cuz he was right#i just like not having too many thoughts or worries and just. feeling it and dealing it. I like having no choice.

Is it Too Late?
It was the monthly movie night as a break from the usual routine.
The softshell turtle would usually expect your arrival, looking over his shoulder, on whatever work in progress invention he was working on.
However, by the time you and the others were waiting for the pizza to arrive.
You didn't sit near him. Mostly across from him as you listened to one of his brothers. Talking about something that happened earlier in the day.
And most of the interactions you gave to him were just a smile. A different one he wasn't used to.
You might have been true to your word with giving him space.
Since he was surprised that you wanted to ask him out on a date last Saturday.
It might have been that same smile that appeared when he rejected your feelings.
.
..
...
Saying how you weren't his type but, still appreciated your company nonetheless.
It almost felt insulting that he got to eat his favorite pizza. While you try to eat a fresh slice despite your broken heart hiding those crushed feelings.
The Jupiter Jim movie playing in the background just felt like a white noise as you tried to seem interested in the movie. But after the first movie was done, Donnie overheard a conversation between you and Leo.
"Hey Leo, can you portal me home?"
"Something came up so I can't really stick around for the rest of the movie night."
"Sure but, kind of missing out on Donnie fanboying on the next movie because."
"We would have sneaked away to let you two lovebirds have that special moment."
"Those words from Mikey and Raph because you saw how they panicked. Trying not to spoil their plan out in the open."
Donnie felt horrible seeing you lightly tug the shoulder straps of your backpack, that was intended for the movie night sleepover.
You still kept up the facade as you politely smiled back at Leo. Slowly heading towards the light blue portal.
"You usually avoid these sort of plans. What changed your mind about it?"
Leo pretended to stretch his arms but, still grinned at you.
"With someone like Kendra being his type, its not gonna last long."
"You're the exact opposite and I mean that in a good way."
"You're like a personal cheerleader for him."
You were inches away from the portal. Stopping your steps close to tears in your eyes. But, held back trying not to crack under pressure.
"Guess I have to be careful with any of your matchmaking ideas."
After hearing you two go your separate ways for the night, Donnie's shell lightly hit the wall as he sat down. Horrified at the thought of his brothers eventually finding out that he broke your heart. Or attempting to rebuilt that friendship you had with him.
#rottmnt x reader#donnie x reader#rise donnie x reader#I wanted to try something different and idk this type of scenario always likes to repeat every now and then#especially that my main rise oc used to have a crush on donnie but eventually went to leo but this isn't about her lol#also I've been reading through the answer arcs for higu/rashi so :3c (it might have fueled this type of writing hehehe)

Bis Sister
“Uhm… w-we can wait ‘til Mommy’s back, right…?”
He shifted uncomfortably where he stood in the living room, feet pigeon-toed, thumbs fidgeting near the hem of his oversized shirt. His cheeks were tinged pink, and he couldn’t meet her gaze. The telltale scent in the air had already made the answer obvious, but he clung to the hope that maybe—just maybe—he could wriggle out of this.
She crossed her arms, weight shifting to one hip as she looked him over with slow exaggeration, lips pursed. The lacy hem of her dress swayed as she tilted her head.
“Mmm… I dunno, baby bro,” she said, eyes narrowing in playful judgment. “Mommy said no waiting if it’s that kind of stinky, remember?” She stepped closer, the floor creaking softly beneath her bare feet. He squirmed. “And you are definitely that kind of stinky.”
His ears went red. “B-but…”
“No buts,” she said brightly, grabbing his hand and giving it a tug. “Except yours. And it’s definitely due for a cleanup.”
She led him gently but firmly down the hallway toward the nursery—well, technically the guest room, but no one called it that anymore. The soft pastel décor, the oversized changing table, the shelves full of plushies and wipes and rows of stacked nappies—it was his space now. The air in the room carried the faint powdery scent of baby oil and lotion, the comforting clean warmth of a place where he could be little, safe.
And right now, very squishy.
He hesitated as she patted the edge of the changing table. “Hop up,” she chirped, with a grin a little too wide.
“Can’t I just wait…” he tried again, but she cut him off with a gentle poke to the seat of his sagging nappy.
“Wowww, you really filled this one, huh?” she teased, her voice dancing on the edge of a giggle.
He let out a squeaky protest, hands flying to cover his face. She just laughed, guiding him back until he was sitting. The squish was immediate.
“Oof. You squished it when you sat down,” she said with mock sympathy, wrinkling her nose in a way that was just dramatic enough to be silly. “Now I really can’t wait. You’re gonna get rashy if we don’t take care of this.”
He laid back with a defeated little whimper, thumb automatically finding its way to his mouth. She noticed, her smile softening just a hair. Her fingers were steady as she undid the snaps on his onesie and peeled it up over his tummy, exposing the swollen, yellowed nappy beneath.
Her eyes flicked to the side, to the shelf where Mommy always kept everything lined up just so. She knew the routine, kind of—she’d watched Mommy do it a hundred times—but actually doing it herself was a different thing. Her fingers hesitated just a beat too long over the tapes.
Okay, okay… left side first. Then right. Wipe front to back. Cream if he’s red. Powder after that… then fresh nappy. Easy.
She swallowed down her nerves and pasted on a confident smirk.
“You better be glad your big sister’s such a pro at this,” she teased, more to herself than him, as she tore open the first tape with a firm rip. He whimpered again and squirmed, but didn’t argue.
She pulled the front of the diaper down with a wrinkled nose. “Sheesh. I should tell Mommy how mushy her baby boy got!”
He made a noise of protest behind his thumb, his knees instinctively pulling up. She slid the used nappy out from under him, folding it quickly and setting it aside. Then came the wipes—cool and wet, making him twitch and flinch.
“You’re such a wigglebutt,” she muttered as she worked, more focused now. She remembered Mommy always kept one hand on his tummy, firm but gentle, to keep him steady. She copied the motion, pressing lightly and wiping in slow, careful strokes. Her fingers trembled a little the first time she lifted his legs, but she masked it with a lighthearted hum.
She peeked again. A little red back there.
“Hmm… definitely need some cream,” she said aloud, grabbing the tube and squeezing a bit onto her fingers. “Hold still, mister.”
His eyes were closed, face pink, clearly trying to pretend this wasn’t happening. She dabbed the cream on with the care of someone handling something precious, her touch light, her breath held. Then, powder. A soft puff, the familiar scent catching in the air.
Almost done.
She reached for the fresh nappy, unfolding it with a practiced flick and sliding it beneath him in one smooth motion. That, at least, she had practiced—on a teddy bear. Not the same, but close enough.
She paused for just a moment, smoothing it over his tummy, aligning it carefully, making sure it wasn’t too tight. Her confidence grew with every second, every small success.
“There we go… baby boy’s all clean now,” she said in a sing-song voice, leaning over to boop his nose. “Mommy’s gonna be so proud I handled this all by myself.”
He blinked up at her, cheeks still red, but his shoulders had relaxed. He trusted her. That was the part that made her chest feel warm and a little fluttery.
She pulled the first tape across, pressing it down snug. Then the second. The click of it sticking into place echoed in the quiet room.

THE TENTH HOUSE: ANSWERING THE CALL TO WEALTH
the 10th house (10H) is arguably one of the most important houses in astrology, closely tied to your midheaven (MC), which represents your public image, reputation, and the way you are recognized in the world. it symbolizes your legacy, the energy others associate with you, and the role you naturally embody in society. however, understanding your career path goes beyond than just identifying the sign in your 10th house. to gain a deeper insight, you should also analyze its planetary ruler and the house it occupies, as these factors will give you a better idea about the careers that align with your natural strengths.
below is a guide shared by astrokit, along with some additional insights i’ve added, highlighting careers based on planetary placements in the 10th house, as well as the house placements of its planetary ruler, to help you align with your destined career path!
➶ ➴ if you follow vedic astrology, I recommend analyzing the 10H in the navamsha (D9) and dashamsha (D10) charts alongside the 10H in the rashi (D1) chart. combining insights from all three, along with the nakshatra ruler of the 10H will give a more well-rounded understanding of the career best suited for you.

Talmud Study Resources
This will hopefully be an ever growing list. If you have any Talmud study resources you like (online or in print), please send them to me and I’ll update accordingly!
The most important resource for study is community, so if you have a local synagogue, check if they have study group
Free Online Resources
Sefaria Mishnah — reading the Mishnah first can make the Gemara easier
Sefaria Talmud — the go-to free online translation. I believe it uses the Koren translation
Daf Yomi — daily image of the day’s daf with audio of it being read (not translated as far I can tell)
Hadran Courses — Absolutely top notch courses to give you the tools to study Talmud. Cannot recommend this enough.
New addition! Hebrewbooks.org — quality pdf scans of the Vilna Shas. Also advertises 64,962 classical Hebrew books available for free download
New addition! Mercava — tools for translation, marking up, and displaying pages of Talmud. Only displays the central column, Rashi, and the Tosafot, but Torah Or and Mesoret haShas can also be accessed and Rashi script can be changed to block
New addition! Jastrow — free, searchable version of Jastrow’s famous dictionary for Hebrew and Aramaic
Books
Your local Shul’s library probably has a copy of these or similar books! They are far from the only books on these topics
Reference Guide to the Talmud by Rabbi Steinsaltz
I love this book. It has the answers for almost every question a beginner could ask, from how a page of Talmud is laid out to the basics of Mishnaic Hebrew and Aramaic
The Practical Talmud Dictionary by Yitzhak Frank
Not a comprehensive dictionary of Mishnaic Hebrew and Aramaic in comparison to Jastrow’s work, but it has a lot and is simple to use
Grammar for Gemara & Targum Onkelos: An Introduction to Aramaic by Yitzhak Frank
Sister text to The Practical Talmud Dictionary. Good for beginners with at least some knowledge of Hebrew
Everyman’s Talmud by Abraham Cohen
Basic overview of topics covered in the Talmud. Very dense
The Essential Talmud by Rabbi Steinsaltz
More digestible than Cohen’s book, but not as comprehensive
#talmud#jumblr#daf yomi#jewblr#judaism#ok just a little context. as a treat#Talmud resources#this too is torah and i must learn

9 - Do you have a favorite outfit for omorashi or wetting?
I really wish I did! I tend to go for clothes that make the hold harder/faster rather than comfy baggy clothes, since a big part of my omo enjoyment is being able to Feel it even if it isn't a big deal yet. I also ALWAYS go to any kind of bottom that has a belt loop so I can reaally tighten myself in. Frankly the biggest consistency of my omo outfits is a belt and a mini lock keeping it shut. It's too stressful to wear in public (probably for the best) but it keeps me contained and that's what matters!
At one point I bought myself some clothes specifically to wet in partially because at the time I was trying to decide if I wanted to post irl pics on this blog but after using them in irl holds none of them really worked how I wanted, and I haven't ever bothered to try again.
But I really want to have a favorite outfit! I just don't really know what a perfect pissing outfit would look like. If I ever do wanna post irl pics they would need to be able to keep me anonymous and androgynous, so it would have to be pretty full coverage while highlighting the important bits. That feels a bit too much like an oxymoron though, lol.
. . . I also prefer light clothes . . . with good fabrics . . . that suck up liquids . . . and leave big marks . . . for. proper reasons......
#rashi answers#omorashi#nonbinary omo#if i'm honest I've been considering giving in for a while now and just spoiler tagging posts that talk about my birth sex#it's really fun and wonderful to be a genderless rando online but it's also kind of tiring to keep up#especially when I want to talk about sex-locked scenarios or post pics of myself when I very much pass as cis against my will#I've been pondering it for over a year now and trying to figure out what to do was a big reason why I didn't come back from hiatus#I'll figure it out soon and hopefully no matter what I'll still be a desperate loser :P

it was so adorable to log in the other day and see my homepage number skyrocket up. It's my favorite way to find out a hold had happened. Once it gets high enough, 20+ posts or so, it becomes extremely obvious that the holder didn't make it. Happy you were the victim :D
hey everyone posts a lot when they're holding! that doesn't mean anything by itself... yes i didn't make it but that's not important

ive never watched h2o just add water but im australian so close enough and i desperately want to know more about death note h2o au. how does light becoming a mermaid make him able to kill people does he just like start grabbing people and drowning them. does L keep coming up with convoluted ways to reveal that light is a mermaid (i would like to know if someone attempts to push him into a pool at some point because i think thats how h2o mermaids work like you. just add water™ and they turn into a mermaid right)
(this ask is referring to my tags on this post)
#i just looked in my notes and found a death note au of that australian mermaid show h2o just add water#in this au light becomes a mermaid and immediately uses his mermaid powers to fucking kill people#and also hes australian#and becuase he's australian hes not called kira#his murders were first noticed on nobby beach (queensland) (australia)#so hes called the ghost of nobby beach#or nobbo for short#because hes australian#does anyone want or need australian mermaid murder death note au called nobbo? why did i write this#when will i finish it
thank you for your interest and everyone else who has shown interest in death nobbo. this is a post about death nobbo, my death note h2o just add water au which takes place in queensland australia
they are Australian and live on the gold coast and light is a uni student who becomes a mermaid. because he is a normal person he realises this is his opportunity to kill people. he also has a pretty, shiny tail.
L is a detective whose attention is drawn to this weird string of drownings in Queensland, Australia. he comes down to investigate.
to answer your actual question:
light drowns people by waiting for them to go surfing or swimming or whatever and then flipping their boards etc and dragging them at top speed into a rip. he holds them down or tangles them up so they can't stick their arms up for lifeguards
L thinks it's sus that all these experienced beachgoers are making mistakes like this and that nobody's managed to call a lifeguard in time. a couple of lifeguards have reported seeing a bit of a commotion where victims are drowning, but get out there too late, and it seems like all of them are physically not able to hold their arms up
here are the rest of my notes in the planning doc and some excerpts:
L doesn't enrol in UQ (is light more of a QUT bitch) but does just like, show up? maybe he gives a talk? i think light is studying law because i want to be self fucking indulgent. so maybe L (via screen) gives a lecture for criminal justice students and starts asking people what they think about the nobbo murders. someone's like so you think it's definitely murder and not just people drowning? L is like you're a beach city. drownings aren't uncommon, but this many drownings from people who are all familiar with the ocean terrain and beach safety makes it very unlikely.
(translator's note: UQ is university of queensland, QUT is queensland university of technology)
He picks light out from the audience because he's already profiled him and they have a discussion
later on L shows up physically at the cafe where light works and asks if he'd like to go swimming. while light is working on how to get out of that one, L goes, oh no, I've forgotten my beach wear. let's go play tennis instead.
lights like internal monologue there's a surf shop next door. light yagami would probably just offer to lend L a rashie or say they can go next door to pick one up. if I take this out, will he thinks I'm suspicious? does he think I'm nobbo? but I can't go swimming or he'll realise the truth.
(translator's note: 'rashie' is aussie slang for 'rash guard' or 'rash shirt' and it's swimwear that is a shirt)
while light is freaking out, L is like, actually there's a mini golf place near mermaid beach I really want to try, so let's go swimming another time. light's like well okay
so they go have a gay game of mini golf. l asks light how mermaid beach got its name and if he thinks mermaids are real. they discuss nobbo.
why did i name him nobbo
misa is light's coworker btw. at some point she also becomes a mermaid and light has to stop her rom exposing them both because she is not very careful
light entered the pool alone so got all three powers - hydrokinesis, cryohydrokinesis and thermocryokinesis
and here's. fuckin, whatever
also the only important line in this au
#death note#asks#death nobbo#thanks for asking about death nobbo my death note australian mermaid au where they are australian#did you guys know before they settled on tennis some of the early ideas for gay contest were golf and fencing#we could have had fencing!#but we also could have had golf. that's why i made them do mini golf#you ever accuse someone of murder while playing mini golf with them? in queensland australia#rookfic#i guess. it's not a fic. i am not finishing this

The signs ( rashi ) Vedic version
Mesha (Aries) “The spark that started the fire.” You were not born to tiptoe—Mars placed dynamite in your chest and called it courage. You fall, you bleed, you charge again. Not reckless—alive. Always one step ahead of regret.
Vrishabha (Taurus) “The garden grows where they rest.” You love like gravity—slow, firm, inevitable. People think you're stubborn, but really, you just know the value of stillness in a world that moves too fast. You teach that devotion isn't loud—it’s rooted.
Mithuna (Gemini) “The wind with a thousand voices.” Your mind is a mosaic, constantly rearranging. You speak in riddles not to confuse—but because truth is layered, and you’ve tasted every layer. You are the question and the answer in motion.
Karka (Cancer) “The moon made flesh.” You carry memory in your bones. Home is not a place—it’s your arms, your silence, your knowing glance. Your love is soft, but it protects like armor. Tides rise and fall, but you remain.
Simha (Leo) “The fire that remembers it’s divine.” You were born from stardust and applause. Not because you needed an audience—but because you are the stage, the flame, the light. Your heart roars louder than your pride.
Kanya (Virgo) “The sacred order in the chaos.” You do not chase perfection—you create it quietly. You see cracks in things not to criticize, but to heal. The world may overlook you, but the stars know the rituals you keep.
Tula (Libra) “The lover who listens to both sides.” Balance isn’t just aesthetic—it’s survival. You hold beauty like a blade, charm like a mirror. People think you're indecisive, but really, you just feel the weight of every choice.
Vrischika (Scorpio) “The alchemist of shadows.” You burn what no longer serves. Depth is your default, intensity your prayer. Love you? It’s transformation. Leave you? It's rebirth. Still waters run deep—but yours hide galaxies.
Dhanu (Sagittarius) “The arrow that refuses to land.” You belong to the open road, to the unanswered question, to the laugh that echoes in sacred spaces. You believe freedom is truth—and that joy, too, is a form of wisdom.
Makara (Capricorn) “The architect of futures.” You are mountain and storm—ambition etched into bone. People think you’re cold, but they miss the warmth beneath your plans. You climb not just to rise—but to build something that lasts.
Kumbha (Aquarius) “The rebel with a blueprint.” You dream in constellations, feel in frequencies. Misunderstood? Maybe. But you're just ahead of time. You love humanity more than people sometimes—but when you choose someone, it’s forever in your own strange way.
Meena (Pisces) “The poet in the storm.” You see the divine in cracks, the music in silence. Sometimes lost, always feeling. You don’t escape reality—you rewrite it. Your tears are not weakness—they are sacred saltwater spells.

tagged by @amarocit and sort of by @amoebo-id to say what books i'm going to read
i think it's supposed to be a specific number like 9 but idc
so you don't have to read this long and tedious post, i'll tag everyone first.
i tag: @enarei @everycorner @assaultmystic @xrafstar @boyremover @shimakaze-revivalism @hakasepouring2lbottleofcola @fenist @circumlocutive @vickir0se (the prompt is something like: '9 books you're reading right now? write a post in answer and tag some more people in it')
in any case, what am i reading most presently?
table of contents -i philosophy -ij languages -iij fiction -iiij other stuff
-i philosophy
i am pursuing a nexus around Machiavelli; who read Machiavelli and how did they read him? at the centre of my reading is the Machiavelli-Fichte-Clausewitz nexus, but there is also a Machiavelli-Spinoza-Marx as i mentioned in another tag meme.
Ficthe wrote at least one book on Machiavelli, and a young Clausewitz wrote Fichte a letter about him which Ficthe published. Spinoza we know read Machiavelli, and he possessed at least a few of his books physically, and it is said that he influenced him. Marx i haven't entirely settled on his relationship to Machiavelli or to Spinoza; i know he did read them, but i don't know if they were important to his project or how. but he is placed in that triad for now, so he has somewhere to be.
but these nexus also rest within further nexus (recursively, into, if not infinity, at least an enormous empirical web of things really said and done, and their counterfactuals also--by the way, are counterfactuals empirical in nature?). some of them are so deeply embedded as to be inseparable to the reader; primarily i mean that Ficthe does not pry easily from Kant. to lesser extent, Spinoza and Descartes (as well as the Tanakh (though i am reading that already--including, i apologize, more than just my Sheva Mitzvot--and i know it may be prohibited to non-Jews to do this--but i say i am following the advice of Rabbi David Bar-Hayim, who says that this prohibition applies only to the oral Torah, using as evidence, after a great deal of philology, the fact that the Torah was in Moses' time written down on stones and displayed to the nations in every language, presumably so they may read it, and thus what is really prohibited to non-Jews is to sit down and try to apply Mitzvot and so forth--which in fact convicts me for attempting to grapple with this question in the first place, rather than living in ignorance of it, and i am in fact liable for the death penalty after all--thankfully i don't live in Israel (where i would have actually been forced to study the Torah, regardless of what the Sanhedrin said, as Muslim children are!)--in any case any Jew i have told of my dilemma has laughed at me--or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Rashi) and Rambam) form a similar pair. thus i will also read Descartes (hopefully in Latin by then!), and if i'm going to the trouble of reading Descartes, then i demand the right to read Malebranche, for pleasure rather than busines, and thus i will read him too. these thinkers are, likewise, embedded, and i desire to go one recursion deeper, to their sources in Asian and Muslim-world philosophy; though this does not form the whole of my interest in Asian and Muslim-world philosophy, and thus we will see only a very limited selection of the total of what i intend to read (on earth or in heaven) of that philosophy.
however, this all points out further, to another nexus which i desired to read, which may be named as Husserl-Heidegger-for-Vienna Circle, that is to say, the phenomenological tradition which emerges from the background of German philosophy after Kant, and the review of its project by Heidegger in one way and the Vienna Circle in another. and one of my interests is the reception of earlier philosophy by the Vienna set. this also prepares the ground for, say, the Ponty-Ayer encounter, etc. in effect, my mission is to take all these things i've been nibbling at here and there, using and misusing for this and that, and read them systematically. thus i have the following reading list which will (nonexclusively) keep me busy for--what do you think? ten years? twenty years? here's the one:
sorry for the pictures, but trying to get tumblr to format this was awful. anyway, now you've seen the whole list (i haven't written the Asian philosophy part yet, because i would have to find out the sources of transmission and identify what they transmitted and so forth, and it takes a little doing); i am not reading all that soon, so let me, now that you have seen the general shape of this one project, tell you how i intend to proceed through it in the near future. it is as so:
Kant i have no interest, whatsoever, in Kant. he is grist for Ficthe and to a lesser extent the others that come later, like Heidegger. thus reading him is drudgery, and i have tried to eliminate drudgery. so i have narrowed him down to a <500 page effort, which does not include the First Critique at all. if i need to, i can come back to him, but my hope is not to need to. so i am reading:
a. the Prolegomena <- my shortcut past the First Critique, where he lays out his own philosophy at a very high level for a popular audience (and constantly tells you to go read the First Critique). i'm reading that presently (though i doubt i'll reach my goal now of finishing it by the 14th). b. the 'Moral Trilogy', ie. the Groundwork, the Second Critique, and the Metaphysics of Morals <- all of these are relatively short, and all concern the practical aspects of his philosophy (ourselves having sipped the needed theroetical aspects from the Prolegomena already). that is the part we need if we're intending to confront Fichte as an anarchist looking for answers about freedom and subjectivity from him.
secondaries: a. Strawson, The Bounds of Sense: An Essay on Kant's Critique of Pure Reason <- imposed on me by @assaultmystic, who i will read it to impress. we worked out a bit of a system for it, where i read some chapters alongside, and some after, the Prolegomena. this will help fill in the gaps w/r/t theory, i believe, and besides i'll be able to talk about it with Flutters.
Ficthe
some order of:
a. Foundations of Natural Right b. Vocation of Man c. Characteristics of the Present Age d. Machiavelli as Author
since these are some combination of introductory, popular, or concerning his philosophy as it pertains to freedom and intersubjectivity, &c, which is why we're reading him. and the Machiavelli book. then we can go through the Wissenshcaftres if we like; but if we're doing that, then we're reading the First and Third Critiques of Kant as well, because we've bought in hard enough to that philosophical system at that point. and i expect that part to be reserved for heaven, and thus it doesn't belong on any earthly reading list.
secondaries:
Beiser, German Idealism: The Struggle Against Subjectivism <- a classic secondary, mammoth in size; should help contextualize Kant and Fichte and the other guys. i have read some of it before, but not that much; i read it's section on Ficthe, which is why i decided to try to read him.
Clausewitz
Karl:
a. On War b. his letter to Ficthe on Machiavelli c. everything else <- conveniently collected in the volume Historical and Politican Writings, trans. and ed. Paret & Moran d. his letters
Maria:
a. Bellinger, Marie von Clausewitz <- secondary, idk if she wrote herself...
Karl i must read a bit differently to the others. he builds arguments as these long dialectical trains which he allows to crash much later. thus your notes can be going one way, then suddenly seem pointless and stupid, because you were tracking a thread of argument he wasn't actually making. thus Clausewitz should be read the first time for pleasure only, without the notebook handy, until you've chuckled and grinned along with him until the last page, then you have to go back and savour some notes from it. so i am reading him non-rigorously, in leisure, here and there. he is one of the few writers i own a physical book of, so i get to read him in the garden. i'm having a good time with him.
Maria i am interested in because i know she had a strange and passionate relationship with him, and then spent the rest of her life editing his abstruse book and getting it working once he suddenly died. she just seems like an interesting person, and i'd like to, at least, see her husband as she saw him, for a little bit.
Machiavelli
every scrap. his political theory, his histories, his letters, his book called "A Description of the Methods Adopted by the Duke Valentino when Murdering Vitellozzo Vitelli, Oliverotto da Fermo, the Signor Pagolo, and the Duke di Gravina Orsini"--everything. he is a man i have unorthodox feelings about; to really study him will be a little painful, as opposed to the delerious pleasure of fangirling in slight ignorance. but he'll survive it. won't you, Niccolo? yes you will...
i may get bored and skip around in my list a little bit; i'm entitled to do that.
-ij languages
i have four languages i must take seriously: Old English, Latin, Chinese, and Japanese. all impose some reading.
right now, i'm reading a fantastic new book called Osweald Bera by Collin Gorrie. it's basically Lingua Latina for Old English; it's entirely written in Old English and you learn it by reading Old English. i have a headstart, having studied for almost 3 years already, but i'm at precisely the stage where i long for easy reading material, and it's perfect for that. so i'm reading that.
after that i also have a book by Peter S. Baker which is a translation of Alice in Wonderland into Old English, called Æðelgyðe Ellendæda on Wundorlande. so maybe that's next, or it's a bit more advanced and is saved for later. then it's Henry Sweet's Anglo-Saxon Primer (read extensively rather than intensively, since i'll be good enough to do that; reading it intensively was the largest part of how i learned for the year before starting Osweald Bera), Sweet's two Readers, and the Analecta Anglo-Saxonicus. by then i should be ready to read native prose, so i'll work through things like Wulfstan's lectures and Ælfric's grammars and such, and then i'll get to the good stuff: the OE translations of Theodore cover to cover, Ælfred's translations of Boethius and Augustine, etc. and i should be able to start working on poetry too.
Latin: Lingua Latina. EZ. by the end it has you readng native material all by itself. hopefully i can line it up so that i can read Latin and Old English Theodore, Boethius and Augustine back to back. and, as i said, Descartes. but most especially, for Latin-language philosophy, i am patiently awaiting being able to read Roger Bacon in his own language (which most of his books are locked away in). and then translate Hermaphroditus if i can, by Beccadelli; at least write about it and make its contents available.
for Chinese and Japanese the road is simple: i use the Assimil books, plus some other material that works through the writing system in a graded way and work through it with anki, until i can read and listen to simple things and get along a bit myself (for Chinese i'm using the New Practical Chinese Reader for that). then i do graded readers (in text and audio forms), until i'm ready for easier native material. then eventually just use the internet, and watch videos on BiliBili and NicoVideo respectively, and be doing extensive reading and listening very naturally.
-iij fiction
currently doing some reading for so to speak 'research' for a short story i'm writing for @everycorner. the list i wrote there is:
i finished the Pit and the Pendulum just yesterday.
-iiij other stuff
long-time readers may know i owe tithes to some other disciplines; i have linguistics textbooks to get through, and i have to finish the SICP and get onto more compsci stuff. and i have more stuffy Old English philology books to read. to you i say i have not forgotten. but i have been so ill and have been doing so disasterously badly that i am struggling to get along, and so i am just now trying to reintegrate some of my reading and writing. so let me do but a little of what i must, and feel good about it; then i'll do the rest. but they don't belong on a list of what i'm reading 'currently' or in the near future.
and if you think this list is excessive, as not all books i claim to be reading i really have open, let me insist that i perceive books as moments on a long trajectory, and always read to some purpose or end, and cannot think of books but to organize them in this way.

Arudha Lagna: How To Find It - Part 3 -Signs' Battle and Shortcuts
The Signs' Strength Identification Procedure
Now, you have found out your case does not correspond to any of the previous conditions in Part 2 and Part 1: you need to check which sign is stronger than the other. Here are the rules with the same example (Scorpio Lagna) as before:
If Mars is in Scorpio or Aries, e.g, in its own sign, but not Ketu, then, Mars gets stronger.
But! 😱 If nor Mars, neither Ketu does not respect the above mentioned condition, and Mars is conjoined Jupiter and/or Mercury, then, Mars gets stronger than Ketu.
But!! 😱😱 If your case does not apply above again, then, check the signs: dual signs are stronger than the fixed signs which are stronger than the moveable signs. Ketu in Leo (fixed sign) becomes stronger than Mars in Libra (moveable sign).
But!!! 😱😱😱 If Mars and Ketu sit in the same category of sign, let's say, Mars sits in Libra while Ketu sits in Cancer. Libra and Cancer are both moveable signs. What to do? Well.....
I don't know. 😐️
The Shortcuts
I am far from being an extraordinary expert in astrology. I consider myself as an eternal student. Knowledge in astrology is so vast it is beyond our imagination. However, I can still give you a hint if you arrived to this last step without a clear answer, or, if it is just still confusing in your mind and you want a shortcut. You can download Jagannatha Hora software for free, on windows. You go to "Preferences", then "Related to Calculations", after that, you click on "Arudha Pada Calculation Options", then you choose "Use exceptions in bhava arudha padas" and "Use exceptions in graha arudha padas". Finally, you tick "Use Rahu and Ketu when stronger". And the software will find what planet is stronger than another, that is to say, if Ketu gets stronger than Mars in this example: it will directly show you the "right" Arudha Lagna. Or, you can download "Jyotish App" on your phone: you go to "Settings", then you click "Arudha Options", you select "Based on Rashi", you tick "Use exceptions in Bhava Arudha calculations" as well as "Consider Rahu and Ketu as lords of Kumbha and Vrishchika when they are stronger than Saturn and Mars". This app follows Dr B.V Raman's method here, so you can not go wrong.
Why Do All These Exceptions Matter?
You might wonder, why one has to follow all these tedious exceptions and conditions. Some astrologers just do not use most of the conditions mentioned above. For example, some will not apply the house placement exceptions, such as Lagna Lord being in the 1st house, then the arudha lagna will go to the 10th, instead, they will just use the 1st house as the Arudha Lagna. They all have their reasons that I respect. As for me, I would rather like to use Sanjay Rath Ji's view with all these exceptions because it respects the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra's text and I trust his translation. I use the "Treatise on Jaimini Sutras" by Somanatha regarding the evaluation on the strength of planets and signs as it seems clearer to me. I might change my mind in the future but I stick to this method until now. This is just my choice. I encourage everyone to research on their own and form their own opinion through their experience. So, please, do, and let’s share what we find together.
