I know I am a little bit late to this but in Interstellar, the movie about black holes and time travel and ada yada, The inciting event of the movie is that humanity can no longer continue farming mono cultures and we need to leave the planet.

I feel like. There might have been. Maybe. Another option. One that was not mass Exodus. like. Possibly something a lil closer to home. Maybe a bit more complex than plant a corn, plant more corn. But probably less complicated than astrophysics.

This colossal facility, a self-contained city in orbit, houses the remnants of humanity. When a patrol flagship discovers the ARCADIA-II - a long-forgotten relic from humanity's past - and finds within slumbers an astronaut who had failed at delivering humanity from destruction, the routine of your life is throughly interrupted. As the mystery of the ARCADIA-II and PROJECT ODYSSEY unfold, you learn that your part in this could mean humanity's salvation.

Take the bite and know what it means to become. Dig your hands deep, deep in the earth and feel what it means to love.

THE MAJOR (TRANS M 27) - JONATHAN STERN "i have given my life to duty, to sacrifice, to obligation. i wish to give it to you, now, instead. it has been an honor serving you." A past marked by violence made by hands meant to touch. To soothe. He holds you tight against his chest and if you close your eyes you can still smell the smoke. He holds you like an apology. Like a prayer.

Dear scientists/engineers/robotics experts or whomever may be in charge of designing robots

Please stop giving them human faces. It is incredibly creepy and I do not want to interact with them. Below I have compiled a list of viable alternatives to design your robots with the intent of being approachable and user friendly. This is not good. No one wants this ⬇️

The screen face

Pros: Simple, humanoid, capable of displaying more than just facial expressions, doesn't creep me the fuck out

Cons: none, this is perfection

The google eye(s)

Cons: Capable of minimal facial expression

Pros: Provides some form of face for the user to connect and make eye contact with, cute, doesn't creep me the fuck out

Literally no face at all

Cons: there isn't a face

Pros: DOES NOT. CREEP ME. THE FUCK. OUT.

This is not a complicated concept, please stop. It would be easier and less creepy to just draw a smiley face on the robot in sharpie
