the scoundrel encountering Actual Curators is like,, the same existential horror mutually experienced when a wolf and poodle cross paths. the scoundrel after her transformation is a giant monstrous celestial beast who's basically lived her entire batty life in a cave and she's never really learned how to hunt or fight or observe Proper Social Norms™. she has been taught these things but she's never experienced them. not in the way curators are supposed to. to normal spacebats she's an inherent and obvious outsider and all of her mannerisms scream Wrong even if the bat in question probably wouldn't know exactly how or why. her fur is too soft and her claws and teeth are too dull and even when she's trying her absolute best to be the perfect embodiment of "creature somewhat high on the great chain of being" smugness she can never discard those pieces of human instinct. human mind. human memory. they're pieces, yes, but they exist nonetheless. what i'm saying is even without being intrinsically bound to the bazaar and the masters the scoundrel is primed for semi-exile, at least in a social sense, the minute she hypothetically tries to join actual spacebat society. she's simply far too curator to be human and far too human to be curator. she simply Is. and there's nothing he can do to fix that, no matter how DESPERATELY he wishes otherwise

Normally your employer would file your taxes for you but if you're self employed or make a certain amount or have a sidegig that makes a certain amount you have to fill them out yourself

Which means Leo is like one of the only people on campus who's going to be like 'everyone shut up i'm doing my taxes i'll talk to you in like a week when i've stopped dissociating and managed to get them done' in February

(Sho doesn't have to pay his taxes until the year after starting his business so he's off the hook this year but since Leo often pays him digitally along with cash he has to do Sho's taxes too as his employer just so no one gets suspicious)

(Sho joining Leo like 'yeah I'm gonna have to do these with the fiod truck and all so I guess I have to learn now?' and just watching Leo file their fucking taxes. And both of them hate being bored and they will spend the entire month they have to do it getting extremely distracted by literally anything else. You could check in on them like 'hey how're the taxes going' and they've made a thousand little origami stars and the taxes are not done. Like at first Sho was teasing Leo for having to do something so boring but he was trying to watch and learn and then he got bored too and he's like. I would rather do literally anything else right now can we take a break please)

I just think it's funny to realize that Leo has to pay taxes. Like out of all of them he's one of the only ones that knows how to do his own taxes. Ritsu's family are his employers, their accountants do his taxes. Jin's family's accountants do any taxes he owes. Darkwick does the taxes for most of the students I imagine particularly since I'm pretty sure it's implied they get paid to do missions. But Leo, as an influencer, is self-employed and does it himself and has been for a few years so Darkwick makes him handle it himself lmao

And you might think Leo would just get an accountant and I can absolutely see him getting someone to it for him. On the other hand since he probably has less-than-legal income he doesn't trust someone else to do it for him lmao.))

Again, with the caveat I Cannot play Veilguard --

I understand it's shitty Solas depicts Mythal's vessel as an elf, doesn't see her/them as People just Mythal as a person through them.

But I keep seeing people refer to Mythal as essentially her only vessel, as the one who "carried her through the ages" and I'm??? Very confused??

Please correct me if I'm wrong/outdated but I'm 99.9% sure the iteration of Flemythal we meet is not ... timeless? Her vessels have human-ish lifespans, if slightly magically extended, and she has spent thousands of years body-hopping from one mother to daughter to the next. And from what I've pieced together from VG/Morrimythal, it seems all those previous vessels all become "part" of her, like she is her own Well of Sorrows. Flemeth was maybe/probably the First Vessel, sure, but then it was her daughter, and then her daughter, and on and on.

So like, yeah. Just by addition she was indeed mostly human by modern times, her vessel was definitely human, but the vessel... didn't actually matter because it was always... Different? Like he could have picked any one of her faces, any one of her outfits, and in the end that would always change, those aspects are always changing because that's how she survived.

There's no tangible, visible "Mythal" left, and what's left of her is a tiny piece compared to thousands of years as many different people. So how else do you depict a constantly-changing human vessel bearing an Evanuri soul, on a mural that could outlast her next ten vessels?
