God I’m begging. On all hands and knees. If you are going to write Miguel in a fic. Read his comics. Go to his wiki page. Do RESEARCH. Because I am sick and tired of people mischaracterizing Miguel ESPECIALLY here on Tumblr. It’s ridiculous.

Like my guy is not flirtatious. He’s a pathetic sad little nerd (Affectionate) who alienates himself from everyone and doesn’t know how to express his feelings so he just becomes overtly sarcastic. That’s Miguel.

Also y’all. REMEMBER THAT GABRIEL EXISTS. HE HAS A FAMILY.

Lastly Miguel was abused as a child. Hes tried unaliving himself. Miguel has trauma that isn’t just his daughter dying.

So yeah. Miguel is a complex character. I get it. But again, it is not hard to do research on him and his character. I beg. I’m tired of the blatant Mischaracterization of him. Please please PLEASE read his comics or at least read his wiki page. Anything. I’m done with him being written as a completely different character.

I absolutely LOVE the Squirtle/Wartortle illustrations by kantaro in Pokemon 151!

The Squirtle jumping so joyfully from the rock into the ocean, the colors are STUNNING! I love the contrast of the Squirtle's aqua blue framed in the vivid orange sky, the soft bit of blue reflecting in its shell and its tail just catching the sun, how little and squishy its body looks as it launches itself towards the water with such tremendous excitement!

The lineless style of the background gives me the feel of a travel poster and I sense the tropical environment around it from the rocks and trees framing the corners, the waterfall splashing with as much energy as the Squirtle!

The layered blues on the surface of the water and the bubbles rising at the corner make me FEEL the liquid rising to meet the Squirtle--I can just feel how the next moment it's going to break through and be immersed in a cool island swim!

And the Wartortle running along the sunset beach, this is somehow everything I always imagined for Wartortle! I adore the way the rich purple melts into the warm red/orange sky, the matching purple clouds and shadows in the foreground, and how the dimming sunlight glows red on Wartortle's deep blues!

I love how the yellow and orange of the sky illuminate the lapping waves, I can just feel the gentle motion of the sea at dusk. The aqua color of the ocean matches Wartortle's ears and tail and sets off the red-orange sand, I just love how the colors are here!

Wartortle looks so round and squishy, I love its happiness as it goes frolicking through the shallows, chasing the bubbles caught in the setting sun! The shine and deep shadow on its shell give it an almost jewel texture like real tortoise shell; I love the silhouetted splash Wartortle leaves as it goes running across the shore. It's so full of energy and delight at the end of a gorgeous day! The colors in these are SO vivid and harmonized and the style is so cute and bursting with energy and joy. I just LOVE it (also Squirtle is my starter)

SO many beautiful illustrations (but there always are)#it's like having little pieces of art of my favorite characters and it's only.. slightly... less expensive than actually commissioning ....#i KNOW it's less expensive to buy the individuals online but it's so much less fun #part of the fun is having YOUR own pokemon journey ((going to the store)) and seeing what YOU encounter ((when you open the pack))#i do buy them online sometimes but i usually dont form as strong associations with them as when i open a pack in a certain setting or place #i tend to try to save them to open right before a significant event like starting something new or a holiday. so that i form associations #and it's like 'oh that's the galarian obstagoon from when my mom came home for christmas'#and 'that's the snorlax who reassured me when i was hurt'#i don't buy them too often so i've got to make it count #anyway i know i should wait for the prices on this one to come down because it's absolutely ridiculous #i didn't buy anything at release because i was like $6 for one booster pack??? but i couldn't take just sitting and watching them sell out #i really like the poster because i can look at so many beautiful pictures all together #i could say stuff like this about literally every pokemon illustration (if i had time to write it out) and sometimes i've wanted to #i just chose these two because these are a couple of my original favorite pokemon and i just couldn't keep it to myself. i LOVE these

Bought myself a mimikyu yesterday from build-a-bear and its so cute next to dedenne 😭

#my brother won the dedenne from a claw machine game in Japan a few years back #and just gave it to me when he came back #he likes claw games mostly for the satisfaction of winning lol #anyway i saw the mimikyu in the display window a few days ago #ngl I'm surprised it's $45?? i thought it costed more for some reason #they also have a lil bowtie and hat selling for like $12.5 #i also saw a snorlax on display dressed in pajamas and it's so funny i love that one too #hope y'all are doing good and staying safe!!

Completely forgot Abt. she takes some notes from her but not much #she n jenny are besties she likes cute things like plushies n stuff but also loves creepy shit but is too shy and embarrassed to admit it #like she loves stuffies and has a snorlax backpack and loves tigger but she also adores creepy rpg maker games with plenty of mindfuck #as said she's based off a dream I had that involved basil having an extremely abusive brother and being influenced to do bad shit as means #for a reward (snacks #watching TV #whatever). she has a sister like this who is horrifically abusive to her. she doesn't see her often #cause she goes to college and only visits during breaks. eri hides away during those times.#she has a loving grandma who isn't doing so well so she has a caretaker #who will gain custody of eri when her grandma passes #their parents aren't in the picture cause they're pieces of shit and her grandma fought for custody of them both #thing is her sister turned out like her parents basically (maybe even worse) and eri is...very nervous and anxious and bad at opening up #she calms down with stuffies #has one she carries around in her backpack. she's learning how to crochet #so she can make teeny crochet friends. she also wants to learn how to groom animals and care for them #eri is very bright n fun and offers snacks to friends outside of home #but at home she's in PJs and hides away when she isn't seeing her grandma.#she's super super anxious and can be kinda clingy #she's bad at asking for help and normally feels like shes constantly making up for... If I can find my ds and charger I'm thinking abt maybe buying a pokemon game!

#ive never played an actual pokémon game before. main line game? yknow the ones #ive only played Go and i have vague memories of playing a ranger game! there was a houndoom and i couldn't get past the snorlax...#ds specifically bc the only switch pokemon game im interested in is pla and that may not be the best starting point #as from what i can tell its very different #but anyway! i was thinking maybe sun+moon? its fairly enough recent that it may be easy to find. and i rly wanted it back when in came out #theres also x and y and black and white which would be closer to my generation of pkmn i think! but those would be wayy harder to find #x and y i remember just wanting to play because Xerneas looked so cool #black and white i wanted to play because i knew a kid with a book that was like. the unova pokedex? and i liked looking thru that #my first favorite pokemon was gothitelle. or gothorita? p sure it was gothitelle though #actually i think we did own black or white but my sister wouldn't let me play it.or im mixing it up with the ranger game which mightve been #gen 5 too #BUT! b+w is wayyy more expensive! so sun and moon is still the most likely option #moon probably. i love lunala #aww but sun has so many cool exclusive pokemon #i want ninetales :(. i want the funny clown :(. i want reshiram and xerneas :(#potato rambles n speaks #the clown doesn't matter i dont think im getting ultra first. also the legendaries too probably. i think theyre in ultra

the dex entries of the pokémon you train say a lot about you.

Infernape (Scarlet): This Pokémon confounds opponents with its speed. It uses all its limbs to fight in its own unique style.

Staraptor (HeartGold/SoulSilver): When Staravia evolve into Staraptor, they leave the flock to live alone. They have sturdy wings.

Cherrim (Diamond): It blooms during times of strong sunlight. It tries to make up for everything it endured as a bud.

Floatzel (Violet): It is a common sight around fishing ports. It is known to rescue people and help fishers carry what they caught.

Tangrowth (Black/White 2): Even if one of its arms is eaten, it's fine. The Pokémon regenerates quickly and will go right back to normal.

Whiscash (Sun): A glutton that devours anything that moves, it quietly lurks at the bottom of swamps, lying in wait for prey.

Heracross (Sword): Heracross loves sweet sap and will go looking through forests for it. The Pokémon uses its two antennae to pick up scents as it searches.

Snorlax (Red/Green): It stops eating only to sleep. It doesn't feel full unless it eats nearly 900 pounds a day.

#from the writer's den #void talks #I want... a gengar...#it's my only ghost type :( and also so friend shaped :(#also a kingdra would fuck severely #not that I really need more dragons on my team <--- has both a high-level Dragonite and two separate gyarados #but how funny would it be to have a team that mirrors lance's for when I finally challenge the elite 4 again to respawn snorlax #and yes this is also because he swept me the first time after I had first tried the elite 4 and I was MAD #and so I want to be like get ready bitch (affectionate) it's YOUR turn to have a bad day #(also bc lance was genuinely such a fun-challenging fight)#(and im boooored. once I was leveled appropriately Red was kind of easy to beat.)#(and also. again. I have to re-enter the hall of fame. bc snorlax.)#(and I am trying to flesh out my pokedex as much as I can excluding the version exclus and others I would have to get by trades)#(I mean yes I could use pokesav or smth to give myself all the extra starters and all that. but also I'm kind of hitting my limit training #and still have waaaaay more pokemon to catch and level before then)#(including the other 2 starters you get)#(bc I didn't know you got them)#(so my kanto starter is only lvl 33 and my sinnoh starter is only like.. 31)#anyway. I was complaining about trade evolutions.#I spent WAY too long grinding to get a porygon at the coin corner and only at the end of that realized that im dumbass!!#BOTH of porygon's evolutions are via trade!!#why did I bother!! I should have gotten mr mime!!!#or ekans! I somehow still don't have an ekans #(it's because poison types succ.)#(so I was lazy.)#(but still)#I hate voltorb flip so fucking much and even more so the fact that I'm kind of getting good at it.#but even MORE so that after spending SEVERAL SESSIONS of grinding that game I found out that I can't even EVOLVE my porygon #even though I have BOTH of the items used to evolve it #anyway
