this time it has nothing to do with art or even aphblr content lmao, just need an outside opinion. I recently had a DND character die and I need to make a new one!! however, I am HELLA indecisive and would like as many outside opinions as possible :3

for this particular campaign, the character needs the be a demigod; they can be the child of any god from any pantheon, but their class/subclass needs to reflect their godly parent. I'm most familiar with Greek mythology so I'd prefer to play a Greek character, and my party desperately need some sort of healer so I'll probably be either a cleric or a paladin, but there as soooo many good choices so i can humbly to you tumblr. saw your answer about stripe ask and i just want to say for anyone out there: don’t use paypal unless that’s the only option for you.

i made a paypal account and immediately, within a minute of making it, it got permanently limited and after days to contacting paypal they still refused to fix it (saying they can’t reveal why it got limited for their safety) and didn’t let me close my account. basically i can’t use my account and i can’t delete it either so my info will always be stored on paypal, which is ridiculous and not safe.

anyway, like i said, if you have another option besides paypal then use that because paypal sucks. be careful!

I have a solid guess on why mine is dead so tiny psa if you’re making a paypal account & have legally changed your name in the past like year before that pls triple check that everything official is as consistent and already changed over as possible and you have new IDs already Before you make the account bc they’ll find one tiny thing that hasn’t fixed itself yet and shut you down for possible identity fraud no matter what you do :)

(also if you feel like you need to have paypal so you have an option for customers who don’t have a card I will once again recommend stripe bc I’ve discovered their direct email invoices allow you to accept bank transfers as a payment method (including internationally) so people can just pay using the online banking account their paypal is linked to without having to go through paypal)

Every second of every day I remind myself that I'm going to need to learn to draw gore and body horror and every second of everyday I simply keep imagining it instead of drawing it because I don't even wanna try finding usable refs for the shit I wanna pull off (it also doesn't help that searching up refs for skinless human anatomy is. Annoying to do if you wanna draw someone who isn't made of muscle and nothing else)

#rat rambles #there's also just a lot of stuff that I just sorta. cant find refs for just due to the nature of the image in my head #but yeah I know I can probably find the refs I properly need somewhere out there but its going to be a nightmare for me I hate finding good #reference photos for tings especially when it comes to anything gore or scar related #but yeah au snek you bastard I will draw you some day #she isnt helping me much by having fun bone body horror too :/#and then theres all the other snake stuff I want her to do thats going to be a whole other journey to learn to draw #but that one isnt as bad because it's much easier to find photos of snakes doing goofy snake stuff #aka anytime they use their mouths to do anything ever theyre so silly #au snek is also silly if you ignore the horrors #shout out to her for being the only one of the au antags that wasnt saught out for attempting to/succeeding at destroying their universes #although thats mostly just because snek is tied to physical matter which means that she has less of an inhernet connection to the stuff #pretty much everyone else does abt their universes #au snek was somewhat unique amongst sneks tho in that shes easily one of the most powerful sneks #these guys get a bit closer to the greater power of the function theyre tied to each time they die you see #and au snek has died a Lot #more times than everyone else in the au antag squad combined #which tbf isnt actually saying a lot most of them never actually died that many times if at all #owl for example probably never died herself. all her power came from her consuming her original universe #similar with mase but he might have died at some point idk #and while Id normally say tali is a similar case given the universe she came from shes probably died a fair share of times #and au bloom probably died like once or maybe twice if Im being generous #au fydd didnt die at all hes just built like that #and au aris only died once but her power again comes from her original universe aka uni hi uni #now Id have to do some math to figure out how many times au snek died but I dont wanna do that since itd be kinda complicated #but just trust me she died a lot and her friends also died a lot except for her brothers who only died once since they dont get revived #long story short: they stopped being supplied food

what a week this day has been. 😩

woke up at 10 ready to relax, shower and make brunch and play some gw2. insteaaaaadddd i spent hours moving heavy stuff in the basement to catch & release 2 fox snakes (the ones with the lil orange heads) that somehow made their way inside 🐍🐍

#the h files #the were small-ish and are nonvenomous so i put on gloves and with another persons help was able to put them in buckets and relocate them #v proud of myself for being able to do that and keeping them safe #as i was holding them i looked at their little :3 faces theyre so cute sob #in MY ENTIRE LIFE weve had maybe one or two garter snakes in the basement and now 2 in one day????? i need a drink or several tbh #i was far more worried theyd get trapped somewhere in the basement than of the sneks themselves #the cats were locked away upstairs so no worries there thank goodness #also v impressed at how STRONG they were despite being only 2-3' long and about as thick as a sausage #and theyre constrictors so one was curling around my wrist before i put them in the bucket what a wild experience #and i forgot their tail “rattles” which spooked me lmao but they were v polite and never even tried to strike at me

Now I know why he's been so skittish, even with 90% humidity the dingus likes basking too much and ends up getting himself too crispy to shed properly. He got a stuck eye cap. Time to make spaget

Dropping them in the bathtub full of water is a bad idea, but sometimes your snek will be dumb and get crispy no matter how high the humidity is, and will need some help. His soil is moist, digital readings at 85-90% throughout the day, it just happens when they nap too long in the heat (his temps are fine too, 95-75 °F across the enclosure). I can't raise the humidity any higher to where it would make a difference in what already occured, and it's causing him stress to not see out of one eye.

A snek sauna where you saturate a towel in warm water and put them in a tupperware or pot if they're too big with the lid cracked for air lets the shed hydrate with minimal stress, and they rub it off themselves without much invasiveness. Even if it doesn't come off while they're in the pot, they'll probably rub it off in the enclosure. If not, can repeat for 10-15 mins a day until it does.

If you notice them freaking tf out, let em out, but it's not that stressful usually
