Is it true that short-tailed pythons pee a lot? I'm considering one but I want to know how much mess to prepare for lol.

Let me put it this way: my Borneo python Hobie still has a lot of growing to do, and the last time he peed, it raised the overall humidity in his enclosure by a full 3%. They also do tend to pee frequently by snake standards, but it's usually smaller pees more frequently so it's not always such a big mess.

Short-tailed pythons are awesome (and I can't recommend them enough for any intermediate-advanced level keeper, they're some of my absolute favorite snakes), but when they pass waste it can be an event. Half the time when they poop you wind up needing to deep-clean the enclosure and give the snake a bath, and one time my old blood Frankie passed a urate so big I thought it was a regurged rodent at first.

It can be such a thing with them because they tend to hold waste for a long time, even by snake standards. The good news is that, with a full-grown short-tail, you might have to deal with it three times a year. The bad news is that you will have to deal with it three times a year.

so a bit of context in regards to my minecraft LoreTM: angels are things called out-of-bounders aka things that really shouldnt exist but for one reason or another do, other kinds of oobs are glitches (corrupted code come to life, ex: ashswag), homunculli (concentrated magic and code come together to create a living creature, often comes in the form of celestial bodies or similar due to higher chances of magic and code concentration in those areas, ex: zam), voidwalkers (eldritch creatures drenched in dark matter, pure magic concentration come to life, ex: half of what spoke is), and herobrines (corrupt duplicate player code come to life, usually takes form after a particularly code-stress heavy death, ex: herobrine) angels are the result of code corruption in pre-existing players and there's a 50% chance they turn nonexistent in the process with no way to get them back not even with respawn

ro used to be a regular human but all the wacky shit that happens in ls corrupted his code (unsure when yet) and he became an angel, it took around a week for ro to stop glitching out, needless to say mapicc was very relieved when his bestie didnt disappear into nonexistence

Due to the nature of his work, Copperhead isn't active every night. He may spend a week hunting somebody down before delivering the coup de grâce, leaving him with a little free time before picking up his next contract. Copperhead often spends his free time caring for the various snakes and other reptile species that come into his care; sometimes these are animals belonging to former victims but often they are creatures which have been neglected or improperly cared for in some way, the serpent metahuman carefully nursing them back to health before making sure they end up in good hands.

how do i diligently spot clean when my snake almost never uses the bathroom on his substrate and instead does it all over his hides and any decorations or enrichment in his enclosure

Oh goodness I am sorry about your messy boy.

It is harder when you have a snake like this who insists on making things difficult! Best you can do is wash and disinfect anything that got into the crossfire and remove any gross substrate. When a snake insists on being messy sometimes all you can do is just try to stay on top of it.

Omg the people I babysit for have a snake who is obviously well loved but his tank is so gross, it’s clear they don’t ever spot clean or take out his shed. It’s covered in old poop and I can see like four separate sheds in there (they said he sheds around every 6 weeks sooooo). I don’t want to point it out and come across like an ass on accident or anything so I’m just gonna clean it after this kid goes to sleep. I’ve got like an hour between that and his mom coming home.

lloyd is so determined to not think of himself as a good person that the king of hell himself can tell him he almost certainly would go to heaven if left to his own devices because he's fundamentally a kind person and lloyd will still say he's self-centered and selfish and doing everything for his own gain five minutes later
