So with my thought on different yin-yang pairs that would cycle between 6/7 Miraculous, I also wanted to cover the different pairs for Felix and Marinette as I do think they are a pair that can easily use both Ladybug and Cat.
So I wanted to see if that could extend to my idea on other pairs, particularly Fox/Peafowl and Bee/Butterfly.
Which, for this, there are tweaked themes for these pairs.
Fox and Peafowl echo themes of Deception and Truth/Vision.
Bee and Butterfly echo themes of Order/Notion and Chaos/Emotion.
And a bonus, Turtle and Serpent, the neutral pair that undo wishes, and loosely echo space and time.
Initially, I'd say immediate stand out picks are Serpent!Marinette and Turtle!Felix.
As Wayzz and Koyll lightly echo space and time, you can see a bit of those themes echoed in Felix and Marinette.
Felix is a character who literally likes to have his space. He'd rather be withdrawn, in his own bubble, then have it be filled with others. He's a character that would rather open up his space on his terms, and let others in on his terms.
It's one of the big reasons Turtle is a natural, easy click, one of the archetypes I associate with turtles is being a loner, to be self-reliant, not make it through life on fellowship and trust. Felix, from what I've seen concept wise, is a loner.
Another factor is the probability is that Felix isn't a character that lives life in a rush. That he moves at his own pace and leisure. It could be a stretch and may be just my own interpretation, but it works off the fact that for the PV, one of the few things they show off about Felix is him spending time in a library, implying he likes to read and/or is quite studious. Typically those that spend their free time reading not only show off their dedication, but that they take time to enjoy/learn, and are fine chilling as they do so.
Him being a reader/scholar can also work off the themes of turtles being knowledgeable/wise, and books in media are heavily tied with intelligence.
Last detail I'll point out that matches Felix with Turtle is his defensiveness. At least PV wise, Felix who can be a mean/antagonistic character, isn't someone who goes out of their way to bully others. You have to come into his space and provoke him for him to snap back (like ignoring his clear no to romantic confessions).
Turtles are animals that can snap back and have a very nasty snap.
The thing is though, these animals aren't going to go out of their way to pick fights. They bite back when provoked, when space is invaded; otherwise, they'll leave or simply want to chill and be unnoticed and unbothered.
Of what I speculated from Felix, that's a pretty similar behavior.
And of course, I've mentioned it before, but I do think there's merit in a monochrome character getting something colorful to reflect a beneficial change in life, to gain color in life, something more lively. Turtle as a colorful Miraculous meets this quota, though I will be going over a few colors and what they can bring to Felix, as unfortunately for me, they had the black kwami have green eyes, suggesting green could be a color he could be associated with, but they also decided to do a green turtle. So I could have Cat more tied to chartreuse (to work off yellow popping up in Cat heroes) and Turtle is green, or have Cat be green and Turtle is more cyan/turquoise.
Green is a color tied to harmony, security, growth, and healing. It can have additional perks of generosity, hope, and prosperity, and negative themes of being envious, greedy, inexperienced, stagnant, and judgemental.
By the entirety of Felix, from PV to canon to fanon, there are aspects of the negative associations of green to be seen with his character, fans did have the idea of him being jealous of Adrien and canon backed it (in response to seeing Adrien having a lot of friends), PV wise he is a stagnant character that doesn't want to change, and being judgemental is a trait that just clicks with him. Green though can easily cover what he needs growth wise, to literally grow, have a sense of security which can be nice for a reluctant hero, and to learn to be generous and harmonious as a trade off to someone solitary and chaotically spiteful.
Now going off Turtle possibly being more cyan/turquoise, those colors come with calmness, clarity, communication, compassion, individuality, renewal, practicality, support, healing, enlightenment, peace, empathy, and stability. Negatively, they come with secrecy, narcissism, stress, and anxiety.
This is one of those where a lot clicks, but offers a lot growth wise, especially empathy and compassion. And can doubly work off what Turtle should factor in for users, not just providing self defending, but extending protection to others.
Now on the topic of kwami, I do see Felix and Wayzz getting along well. One of the things that stands out to me about Wayzz is him being adaptable. He's able to pick up on his human's personality and quirks, and he's able to adjust and take in what they're interested in, what they like, and how to work off of them. Which how, despite being with Nino for a very limited time, he's able to integrate himself into Nino's interests, greeting him as Nino likes.
As Felix (PV) is a character that was very reluctant to be a hero and have heroic responsibilities placed upon him, Wayzz would make that much easier, getting a quick idea on how to work off Felix and reason with him. Wayzz would validate Felix needing to self protect, to prioritize himself, but also ease things out to others. Secure stability to others, that they have rights to a safe space as well.
Now for Marinette and Serpent, this wound up to be another nice color coded pair with extra little themes to work off.
When I was doing Koyll's design, pink was one of the colors that stood out to me, and being made a counter to Wayzz and a sister of Sass, yeah it was an easy pick to contrast both of them. And her being a pink kwami with black details and blue eyes, it's very easy to work off Marinette's primary colors (only thing missing is white). What's the extra icing on this cake is the factor that Marinette is associated with plants, not just from the iconic blossom design she does, but also from her balcony garden, and in a few different mythology, there are serpents and dragons wrapped around the base of trees or associated with trees (Laden, Nidhogg, and Mucalinda). And Marinette's signature flower is a Chinese plum blossom, which comes from a tree.
With Koyll working off Ouroboros and time, Marinette can work off the concept of time very well.
Time is always in motion and never stops. Marinette is a character I perceive to be incredibly productive, a true busy body, always likes to be doing something, always compelled to meddle, just always be doing something. I really don't know if she truly knows how to stop and relax. Time is also something that extends and effects everyone, and that can work off Marinette being very sociable, and involving herself with everyone.
As for Marinette's potential ties to serpents and snakes, the biggest one to stand out is duality and healing.
Snakes/serpents have long been a dual symbol, a fine balance of themes, from life and death, creation and destruction, benevolence and malevolence.
Ouroboros even echoes yin-yang as it cycles between creation and destruction, life and death, endless renewal. And to add to it, alchemy itself has two dragons/serpents that circle each other, who are stated to be black and white.
With these themes of duality, that naturally works off Marinette and how she is. Between the two official leads, Marinette is the one that better reflects yin-yang and the concept of duality. Marinette works off her head and her heart. She can be the leader and the follower. She can take action but will also be the nurturer. She can be clear and open but also secretive and elusive. She can be chaotic and all the place, but also work off structure and have her own order to work off of.
And, ultimately, the biggest show of this is her being able to use both Ladybug and Cat with no issues with either.
And for healing, Marinette naturally is a provider, always stepping up to assist. And plays the vital role of healer in the field.
As for Marinette getting a pink kwami, what can be gained is her learning calm and tranquility.
And working off Koyll, I don't have her all down yet as a character, though she's more coy and fast acting to contrast cautious Wayzz (and the go with the flow Sass), so she'd click with Marinette being quick to respond, but push to be more open on possibilities, not everything has to go as Marinette wants them to, and she can't be as controlling as she would like. Also probably challenge Marinette being more tolerable, as to counter Sass more, Koyll is more willing to "bite" back if something rubs her wrong.
Now, on the reverse, I can think of some merits to work off of.
Turtle can naturally work off Marinette's nature to provide and assist, secure safety and stability. Marinette herself can also be a risky taker. Usually it's calculated risk where she likes her chances of coming out.
But not always.
Canon's initial test was the riskiest test we've seen, and despite the lethal risk, she ran out to help Fu. And for this small moment, it's says a lot about her character. For at canon, she's at her lowest point, low self esteem, no confidence, and no hope for a good year. And despite that, she saw someone in trouble and rushed out to help them.
It was such an iconic moment that even the movie kept it in and expands upon it.
You even see a moment of her putting herself between him and the car, ready to take the hit before he does. This not only proves her as a hero, but confirms her as a protector. And you know, side note, I do prefer movie's take on this over the show, not just expanded detail, but the factor that movie wise, this incident is an accident vs show's Fu intentionally putting her in danger of getting hit by a car.
So, not only does Turtle work off her nature, but it also works off providing self-defense, to prioritize herself when she doesn't.
Wayzz would also be a good kwami to work off of her, having the appeal of being calm and reasonable, so when she starts to spiral and could get emotional/reckless, he can ground her.
Lastly, she does need to learn to withdraw more. She has a tendency to over involve herself, solve problems that aren't her own and shoulder too much (which can work off the World Turtle).
She does need to learn to ease back, that she's stretching herself out too much. And this being an animal known to withdraw into itself, could be helpful.
Now Felix with Serpent I can also see merits to.
Right off the bat, he does click with the more negative associations to serpents/snakes, being distant and aloof, vindictive, deceptive, and being a risk that will strike out.
But this can set up Felix growing to work off the more positives of serpents, from the creativity, to the guardianship, to the healing. Felix for sure is set up to learn to be a guardian, a hero who protects others, and to learn to be a healer and provider.
Felix getting a pink kwami can work off him needing to learn to be a more loving person.
And Felix with Koyll, I can't fully say yet, but she can definitely push for him to act instead of staying out of trouble, and to be open to possibilities and to roll with the chaos. Don't close himself to the world. Could even play into the theme of Ouroboros, needing to self-destroy to begin anew, especially as he starts antagonistic, and is set up to grow and redeem himself, and Ouroboros is a good theme for a redemption. It makes Serpent a pretty iconic animal for Felix to have on his path to improvement, how his nature and who he is will be challenged as he walks forward, and how he will change.

There is something that makes me deeply insane about Dean's bar in Nihilism that I've been trying to put words to since forever.
It's not just that Pamela is acting as his behavioral avatar, animating and speaking as if on cue. It's that Sam and Cas are still hunting.
And yeah, it's a pragmatic way for Michael to run an effective loop but—but—
—but it's also Dean symbolically entrusting Sam's well-being to Cas. Dean’s reliance on Cas is profound; it’s about Cas being a crucial part of the family, someone who will safeguard both himself and Sam in the way Dean has always done. Cas's support is what allows Dean to rest. And we see that come into play in a big way in Peace of Mind, too, where Cas steps in directly to mentor Sam about failing in leadership. It’s as though Cas is stepping into Dean's shoes in a way that’s not about replacing him, but about becoming a partner in the fullest sense. And in a way, Dean's trust in Cas to take on that role does begin to mirror the kind of deep, emotional partnership that one might expect between married partners. Dean knows that Cas has the strength, the patience, and the wisdom to guide Sam through these challenging moments, and he’s willing to let him.
And again, but here in a very literal way: Cas's support is what allows Dean to rest. They’re no longer just partners in battle or allies; they’re equals, sharing the weight of the world and taking on the roles that the other can’t or feels too overwhelmed to do.

Venom and Velvet - Hyunjin
Synopsis: Snake hybrids were terrifying; the mere thought of them integrating into society sent humans into mass hysteria. You cannot help when one of them captivates your attention, however, leading to an entire reconstruct of your ideology...
Pairing: snake hybrid!Hyunjin x reader
Genre: hybrid!AU, Fluff, Angsty Elements
Warnings: Do not read this if you have ophidiophobia, bullying, mentions of vandalism
Notice: Hello, darlings! I have recently acquired Snake Hybrid Hyunjin brain rot, thus why you are receiving this story today! [Thank you, fluffylino, we all say in unison]. I have not seen many fluffy Snake Hybrid Hyunjin fictions, so I thought I would create one of my own. Enjoy! :)
It was an honest mistake, how they came to exist.
The fateful day at the chemical plant seemed like any other; chemists researched in their labs, engineers repaired certain sectors of the building, and quality assurance workers monitored every aspect of the plant to a tee.
What happened in the later hours of the day is still unknown. Perhaps it was a careless chemist, maybe a freak accident; however, what was factual was the explosion. The plant erupted into a fury of flame and smoke, first stemming from the lab quarter and swiftly engulfing everything in its path. Hundreds of workers lay dead within the remains.
Or so was speculated.
The first signal of many that something was off was the flames; they were not the typical shades of orange, yellow, or red that one would typically catch glimpse of during an explosion.
They were green.
Flaming, emerald green.
'A mix of chemicals,' was the initial speculation, since that was the most reasonable voucher and humans preferred to opt for the easiest explanation rather than delve into the technical science of situations.
However, this explanation proved irrifutably inaccurate as the second signal came into play; the "deceased" workers rose from what was determined to be their gravesite, yet they were not...themselves. It was evident that some sort of radioactive mutation had occured; those who were once thought of as dead sported a new appearance, consisting of cascading, Sacramento green scales prevailing in patches, primarily on the victims' shoulders, collarbones, forearms, and calfs. Fangs protruded from their upper jaws, claws replaced their fingers nails, and both appeared sharp and hungry. Their tongues forked perfectly down the center, and their once neutral-shaded eyes turned a bright yellow shade, their pupils dilating until they were nothing but thin, black slits. From here, the story became clear: necrotoxins and cytotoxins, specifically the kinds commonly found in snake venom, had somehow been involved within the accident and were responsible for this mutation.
This new species wreaked havoc on the town, biting, constricting, and terrifying every human being in sight. It took nearly a full year for the madness to cease; a surviving chemist from the chemical plant created an antidote for the infected individuals, who the town had started referring to as, "Snake Hybrids." The antitode was administered to every Snake Hybrid, whether by choice or by force. While it did not remove the physical side effects, like the scales or fangs, it significantly calmed their tempers, allowing them to fully act like regular members of society once more.
The town council, however, did not want to take anymore chances; as such, the Hybrids were secluded from society and forced to live in a sectioned off, abandoned chamber of the neighborhood. They were forced to adapt to this new way of life, forced to raise their children in a town in which they had to explain why the humans had such a horrid distaste for their kind.
Yet, the newly-elected mayor had an irking to put a stop to these laws. His mind's configuration believed in equality for both humans and Snake Hybrids. Because of this, he slowly but surely began testing the waters, beginning with a new mandate.
"All university age students, whether human or Hybrid, will be allowed to attend whatever university of their choosing, starting this upcoming school year," he declared one Saturday morning during a press conference.
That, my friend, is how you found yourself in the situation you were currently facing.
You were "normal" by society standards; you had excellent grades, you were above average in athletics, and you had a phenomenal social life. You were the golden child of your town. Growing up, you had heard stories about the Snake Hybrids; the adults in your life did not speak fondly of them by any means, and there were a plethora of urban legends surrounding them. You had been raised to fear these creatures.
As were others your age, you had quickly inferred. When the Snake Hybrid students arrived on campus, everyone had fled like the plague. Nobody had dared to go near them; it was not like they cared, however. They stuck together, with the only humans they interacted with being their teachers. An overwhelming terror shrouded the university.
So, why in this moment, did you find yourself fixated rather than fearful?
You could not take your eyes off of the Hybrid sitting across from you. He looked absolutely nothing like the creatures friends and family had depicted in gruesome stories and tales. He looked relatively human for the most part, spare a few scaley sections on his shoulders and collarbones peaking out from underneath his top. His face was chiseled, the yellow of his irises complimenting it fairly well in your opinion. He had shoulder-length curly black hair that framed his face perfectly. From time to time, you would catch a glimpse of his forked tongue peaking out between his teeth when he became focused on an assignment.
He was incredulously, irevokably beautiful.
You were concentrated on the boy all hour, only opting to focus on your assignment whenever his eyes flicked up to meet yours and you nervously glanced away. Before you knew it, class was dismissed; you took a long time gathering your things on purpose, attempting to work up enough courage to talk to him. You did not take long enough, it seems, as you walked out of the classroom feeling slightly dejected. You did not have to make the planned effort, however.
"Take a photo," the boy nearly snarled out in a harsh manner, catching up to you in the hallway. You swiftly whipped your head around to make fierce eye contact with him; his slitted pupils bore an annoyed stare into your round ones.
"I'm sorry?" you inquired quietly, almost timidly. The both of you were now stopped in the middle of the corridor.
"You heard me," he hissed, both literally and in his tone. "A photo will last longer than staring at me. I'm not some spectacle for you to ogle at." Your eyes widened almost instantly, and you made an attempt to explain yourself.
"Oh my gosh, no!" you exclaimed, regret prominent in your voice. "I am so sorry, that is not what it was at all!"
"Yeah?" his tongue was protruding at his cheek, his tone laced with faux sympathy. "Then what was it?" He crossed his arms as he awaited an answer.
That is when you froze. You did not know how exactly to explain to the guy that you were focused on him in class because you found him absolutely stunning. Even if you did tell him, you were sure he would think it was some cruel joke. You stared down at the ground, your heart beating with guilt.
"I'm sorry," was all you managed to mumble out. You could have sworn that when you looked up, you saw his face soften. He rubbed his lips together and tsked slightly as they unfolded.
"Just don't make a habit of it," he replied, the sentence diminishing in volume as he walked away from you.
---
From that moment onwards, you were captivated by him. Everywhere you looked, he was in your line of sight; at lunch, during classes, even walking around on campus. It was like you could not escape him.
Yet, you did not physically come up to nor encounter him until one late night. You and a couple of your close friends were walking back to your dormitories after a brief party; you were not drunk by any means, but you did feel a tad tipsy after the night's events. You had began to space out when your friends began snickering and stopped in the middle of the walkway.
"What's up?" you asked; their response came in the form of more scorning giggles as they pointed upwards. The direction of their fingers landed on a different dormitory building; it was the dorm specifically designated for the male Snake Hybrids to reside in. Specifically, your friends were motioning to one of the middle windows in which a Snake Hybrid seemed to be working out.
You recognized that face anywhere.
"Oh, yeah, snakes," you stumbled over your words as you spoke. "Anyways, let's get back before lights out?" you tugged on one friend's jacket sleeve, encouraging them to get away from the building.
"Wait, oh my gosh, do you still have it?" one of them asked the girl standing next to her, completely disregarding your comments. In response, the girl smirked and took off her backpack; reaching into it, she pulled out a can of black spray paint.
"Snagged this from shop class," she explained to your confused stature.
"What are you doing with that?" you interrogated, having an anxious idea as to how this conversation was going to go.
"You mean what are we doing with it?" you were corrected. "We're going to have a little late night fun, duh." She accentuated her words with a nod towards the dormitory. Your eyes widened in bewilderment.
"You mean vandalize the Hybrid dorm?"
"Obviously," she stated as if it was the most obvious action in the world. "These guys shouldn't even be here. It's only fair we make that known." She outstretched her arm towards you, spray-can in hand. "Want to do the honors?"
You hesitantly took the can, looking down at it in obfuscation. Without thinking, your grasp on it tightened and you threw it into oblivion, specifically into the spanning woods behind the dorm. You were not exactly sure how far it went, but you did know that your "friends" were pissed.
"Y/n, what the hell?!" one of them scowled.
"I'm not doing this," you crossed your arms as you defended your stance. "Sorry, but they have done nothing to us. How is that fair?"
"Because they're-"
"What?" you interrupted your friend's monologue. "They're freaks? Misfits? Imperfect? Because guess what, so are we. Sure, they have scales and fangs and their eyes are a tad scary at times. Other than that, they are no different than we are." Your friends side-eyed one another and then nodded. They walked away from you without saying another word. You turned around to face the direction they were walking in, your mouth agape in pure vexation.
You let out a deep inhalation in the fall air as you glanced up towards the dorm; the sight that greeted your eyes shocked you: he was staring at you, a smile playing at his lips. The two of you locked eyes before he walked away.
He had seen everything.
---
The next morning, your so-called "friends" ignored you like an unwanted phone call from an ex-partner. They purposely sat on the other side of the room from you in your first hour class, whispering no doubt rumors about last night.
'Great. I'm going to be alone for the day,' you had made up your mind on that matter, dropping your head into your hands. It was not for long, though; you instantly felt a tap on your shoulder. You looked up and met the same alluring gaze you had been hyperfixated on for weeks. Your heart skipped a beat as he spoke.
"Can I sit?" he asked genuinely and politely, contrasting the first and only conversation you had ever had with him. If your face did not physically smile, your eyes surely did. You nodded slowly, and he took the open desk beside you. He never turned his head away from you.
"What's your name?" he pondered, finally getting a chance to get a good look at you.
"We've been in class together for weeks, and you don't know it?" you chuckled humorously. "I'm y/n. Your turn." He quirked an eyebrow towards your reply.
"Hyunjin," he held out a scaled hand for you to shake. You smiled slightly, ignoring the heightened whispers from the other side of the room.
"Hey, about last night, because I know you saw me-"
"Why did you stick up for me?" Hyunjin interrupted your ramble before it began. The question had you pause for a moment.
Why did you stick up for him?
Was it because you thought he was attractive? Was it due to your fight against injustice? The miniscule amount of alcohol in your system? What was it?
You could not formulate a proper response to this question; therefore, you shrugged your shoulders.
"I don't know," you spoke earnestly. "It felt right. I don't like seeing anyone being treated wrong." Hyunjin gave a small nod at your words, a sly smile appearing and his fangs protruding.
"Well, thank you," he replied. "Whatever the reason, it meant a lot." You reciprocated the small nod, and for the next hour, you and Hyunjin got a whole bunch of nothing done. You figured out he was an art major, and he smirked at the fact that you were majoring in literature; you pretty much goofed off essentially all class period, making jokes and getting to know each other.
The period ended much too quickly, and you let out a sigh of despair.
"Sit with me at lunch?" Hyunjin asked you optimistically. You nodded, an agreement that, little did you know, would morph your ideology for years to come...
---
You and Hyunjin became inseparable; you spent every waking hour of every day with one another. You sat together in classes, at lunch, and you began spending your free periods with one another. You had quickly concluded that almost everything besides the origin story you had been told about Snake Hybrids was false. The legends about ten foot talk snake creatures, tall tales of them preying at night, and other stories were quickly debunked, some even earning hearty laughs from Hyunjin from how absurd they were.
You were judged harshly by your peers for the time you were spending with him, but you did not mind. As the two of you got to know each other, you grew closer and closer until mutual feelings erupted between the two of you, though neither of you had the guts to confess them in fear of corrupting the fantastic friendship you had just built up. It was an unlikely pairing, a snake and a girl, one being as coarse as venom and the other as soft as velvet.
One fateful day, the two of you had paired up for an art project; you knew Hyunjin's expertise and your fantastic planning skills would get the job done quickly and precisely. Hyunjin had suggested you work on the project at his dorm, so that is exactly where you were headed, catching a couple of off-hand glances as you entered into the building.
You were given access to the building and quickly made your way to Hyunjin's room. You knocked a few times on his door, a plethora of colorful paints in your hand. He opened the door, and the sight that greeted your gaze shocked you: Hyunjin was shirtless, his emerald scales on display, shining under the luminescence of his ceiling light. He took out one earbud and smiled.
"Hey, give me just a minute to set up!" He closed the door gently, leaving you standing there in shock. You knew he was ethereal, but seeing him shirtless was a different tale entirely. You snapped out of your trance when the door reopened; Hyunjin was now in a grey hoodie, matching the color of his sweatpants. He invited you inside his lonesome room, closing the door swiftly behind you.
The next few hours were dedicated to your project; paper was splayed out on every surface with plans sketched on each one, paints of every color were opened and splattered onto a pallette, and those colors subsequently made their way onto the canvas, thanks to Hyunjin's skillfull brushstrokes.
Before you knew it, your project was finished; the prompt you were given was to draw something you thought was beautiful. The point of it all was to contrast every student's differing perspective on the subject. You had opted to paint a sunset, a basic approach but still effective; you had decided, in order to remove the simplicity of it, that would explain in the presentation why the sunset was beautiful. You would go beyond just the mixture of colors and bring in a bit of symbolism as to how the sunset ended the day, thus bringing beauty to a respective finale.
You felt great pride in the progress the both of you had made, and you stared intently at the painting; you were in awe of Hyunjin's talent, how he had made every shade of orange, pink, purple, and red blend together to create an exhilerating portrait. You focused on every intricate detail and how it all came together to make an incredulous scene.
"What are you thinking about, Pretty?" Hyunjin poked your arm with the handle end of the paintbrush; you quickly turned to face him, blushing from the nickname.
"Just how beautiful the painting is. I wish I could look that beautiful." you admitted.
"If you only knew," Hyunjin mumbled in a tone barely above a whisper. You heard what he had said, but you wanted to see if he would repeat it.
"Sorry, what did you say?"
"Um," Hyunjin felt a lump caught in his throat; his forked tongue moved from side to side in his mouth from anxiety as he tried to explain himself. "I said I could make you pretty like the sunset."
"What?" Before you could receive a reply, Hyunjin dipped the brush he was holding into a glob of orange paint and smeared a streak of it across your forehead. The motion made you gasp before you bust out into giggles; Hyunjin's antics did not cease.
"Now we have to get the red. And the pink," he described as his faintly-clawed hands dipped the brush into each respective color and repeated the swiping motions; he proceeded to do the same with the purple and yellow paints.
"There," he put his brush down and clasped his hands together. "Now, you look like a sunset!" Hyunjin's fangs were loud and proud as he smiled down at you. Your thoughts were colliding together as you figured out a way to get your revenge.
Suddenly, you grabbed a wider brush and coated it with green paint.
"You know, now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think these scales are necessarily green enough," you lunged towards Hyunjin's collarbone; however, you missed entirely, instead meeting a pushed out hand from the male. The impact caused your brush to fleet backwards and land on your neck instead.
"Awe, you look cute with scales!" Hyunjin complimented sarcastically. You widened your eyes, a jolly glint sparkling under the artificial light. Without thinking, you tackled Hyunjin, landing you both backwards on the bed and smearing the array of paints on his grey hoodie. Hyunjin attempted to free himself from your grasp, hissing exuberantly in between fits of laughter; his attempts were for not as you grabbed both of his hands in one of yours, the scales lightly scuffing your palms.
You lifted his hands above his head and, taking the still-glazed brush, smeared lines of green from the top of his neck down to the indents of his collarbones. The ticklish sensation made him squirm and shut his eyes as he continued to giggle. You threw the paintbrush aside on his study desk and rubbed your hands together.
"There," you leaned down, eyeing Hyunjin as the two of you were almost nose-to-nose. "Now, we're even."
The two of you stayed in this position for a while, grins ever-so-present on your faces. Hyunjin took a long, admirable look at you; he looked at your fair skin, your sparkling eyes, and your snow-white smile.
He had concluded in that moment that you were the prettiest girl he had ever laid his amber gaze upon. Yet, an unanswered question still lingered in his head.
"Why were you staring at me on the first day of class?" he inquired, moving his hand up to tuck a piece of hair behind your ear, his claw slightly scratching your ear in the process. Your face flushed a deep shade of pink at the question.
"I thought," you mumbled. "I thought you were pretty. I didn't mean to offend, I swear. I just couldn't help myself."
"You think I'm pretty?" You nodded slowly.
"Beautiful, even."
He was not exactly sure what thought went through his head before his lips were on yours. Perhaps it was your sweet words alone. Perhaps it was the fact that you had attempted to move your head away from his out of embarrassment from your confession, and he had placed a firm yet soft hand in your hair to stop you. Perhaps it was the way you had looked at him after he did just that, a daring yet shy glint present in your stare. He was not for sure what had pushed him to this action.
He was sure that he wanted to kiss you.
So, here the two of you lie, you on top of Hyunjin as the two of you passionately encapsulated one another. Your hands were cupped tightly on his cheeks while his lightly hovered over your waist. His lips were everything you had imagined them to be; they were smooth, soft, and entranced you into a compassionate haze. His forked tongue teasingly poked at yours, and you felt his fangs accidentally nip at your bottom lip a couple of times. The kiss felt straight out of a 1990s romantic tragedy.
You were not aware of how much time had passed before you had pulled away to catch a breath; you felt the swell in your lips and you physically visualized Hyunjin's as he lay, breathless beneath you. Your arms moved slowly down to his chest, and your head fell to the crook of his neck. He moved one hand to your upper back, the other still gently entangled within your hair.
"Woah," was all you could utter at the moment in time. "Who knew snakes were such good kissers?" you jokingly asked, eliciting a soft chuckle from the Hybrid.
"We're romantics, what can I say?" Your heart was pounding as you looked at him beneath you, and his arms went to snake tightly around your middle, no pun intended.
"Y'know," you had regained your composure and began to chatter. "I wasn't sure about you at first. After all the stories I had heard, all the rumors and tales. Even after you had debunked them, there was still some sort of fear present within me," you confessed, mentally punching yourself as you saw Hyunjin's content expression falter.
"But you...you are so different than what I had imagined. You are the kindest person I've met. You're so gentle and gracious and sweet, and I feel absolutely horrible about the things that I believed, so I guess I'm just going about the long way to ap-" Hyunjin cut off your babling by tilting your head up to face him and capturing you another kiss; this one was shorter but filled with just as much care as the first.
"I get it, I like you too," Hyunjin mumbled against your lips.
"Who said I was going to say that?"
"Am I wrong?" He teasingly asked, looking at you and tilting his head in perplexity.
"Not at all," you confessed.
"I wasn't sure about you either, if it makes you feel any better," Hyunjin admitted. "I thought this was just an act and was going to play out into some sort of cruel prank. But having you here, right here right now with me proves me wrong. You're different than the others. I actually like being around you. I just never wanted to say anything in fear that my deepest worries would materialize and I would lose you as a friend."
"Glad to know the feeling is mutual," you softly spoke. "The only thing is I want to lose you as a friend." Hyunjin shifted his head backwards in indecision.
"NOT like that," you clarified. "I don't want to lose you by any means. I just," you took one of his scaley hands in your smooth ones, "want to gain you as something more than a friend, if that's possible." Hyunjin instinctively rubbed his thumb over your knuckles as his golden gaze affectionately made contact with your own.
"You sure?" he inquired, a playful smirk etched onto his features. "What if people talk?"
"Let them," you responded without hesitation. "Who knows, maybe we can start some sort of shift and people will see that Snake Hybrids and humans interacting isn't so horrible." Hyunjin could not help but beam at your confession. He nodded tenderly.
"Alright. Let's try this," he accepted your heartfelt declaration, causing you to grin wide like the Cheshire Cat. You wrapped your arms around his neck, bringing him in for a tight hug that you never wanted to end.
Thus, the snake venom was adoringly stained onto the velvet cloth, joining them together as one futuristic reality.

So remembered an animatic that said every Ladybug holder was destined to abandon their Black Cat and they'd never see each other again. So I quickly threw together a set of curses for all the Chinese Box.
Ladybug - They are destined to always die alone with their goals unaccomplished
Black Cat - They are fated to always be abandoned by the person they hold closest
Fox - They are fated to always destroy the person they love most
Turtle - When it counts most they won’t be able to protect those they hold most dear
Bee - They are fated to drive others away at their most vulnerable
Butterfly - They are fated to have their good intentions twisted sour
Peacock - They are fated to put their faith and love into the wrong person and destroy themselves
Snake - At the end of things, they will always end up alone
Dragon - They are fated to never have the strength they most need
Bunny - They are destined to see the worst fates of their friends repeat over and over again with no chance to save them
Tiger - They are destined to always squeeze too tight and break those they love
Pig - Their kindness and desire to help will be their downfall
Mouse - They are fated to feel the weight of every task and eventually be crushed by it
Ox - They are cursed to be destroyed by their own growing doubt
Horse - They are fated to always be a moment too slow and be ruined by it
Monkey - Their happiness will come at the cost of the misery of others
Goat - They will be consumed by their passion and desires
Dog - They will devote their lives to a goal and only in their last moments realize they were wrong
Rooster - The people they hold closest will be unreachable
My rough idea is that the Miraculous of the Chinese Miracle Box are so powerful that their magic naturally backlashes onto the user in the form of a curse. So if someone wears a Miraculous for too long, they will be doomed to the curse even if they take it off.

Mr. Peacekeeper
“President Coriolanus Snow, I salute you,” he whispers to himself while looking in the mirror.
Coriolanus looks extremely sharp and put together in his opinion. With his perfectly tailored suit, his golden curls slicked back, but not too slicked back, and his shiny black leather shoes.
He remembers a time when he’d sit on the edge of his tiny bunk bed, shining his black Peacekeeper boots. It’s all in the past now. All of it.
“Coriolanus?”
Well, not all of it.
He turns and finds Soarynn standing in the doorway of the bedroom, holding her dress up to her chest as if it might fall at any moment. “Yes?” She takes a cautious step into the room before turning around, exposing her bare back along with the dress that hasn’t been laced up yet. That explains why she’s holding onto it for dear life.
He can’t stop the grin from forming on his lips, “Could you string me up?” She asks, casting him a glance from over her shoulder. He nods and walks over to her, his fingers grabbing the strings that will give Soarynn the perfect figure as the dress clings to her shape. He can’t help but stare at the plethora of scars on her back. Some are from cigarettes, from men who liked to put them out on her bare skin. Others are from long nails that hadn’t been cut in a long time.
He tries to forget that time in her life, when she slept with lowlife men for a few sad coins.
He tries to remind himself that she was trying to survive, to provide for her family and make a living but heaven knows it can be hard for him.
It’s been hard for her too. Learning a new way of life here in the Capitol has been…an adjustment for Soarynn so to speak. At first, she’d been in awe of the city and its wonders. The food, the fashion, and of course, the culture. It was all so different from the Districts.
That’s why Coriolanus loved it so much.
Once they arrived at the train station they were greeted by Dr. Gaul of all people. The mad scientist was a rather odd woman but she was beaming when he stepped off the train and praised him for giving her such a “wonderful performance.” Her eyes had then landed on Soarynn who was pressed to his side, wide-eyed as she looked around at all the people.
“I see you’ve brought a souvenir, Mr. Snow,” she’d said, chuckling to herself when Soarynn gave her a rather disturbed look.
Coriolanus had made a mental note to keep Soarynn far away from the clutches of Dr. Gaul, a woman who had no reservations about testing her new ideas on human beings.
For the most part, he did keep Soarynn hidden away. He didn't need everyone to know about her. Only the people who mattered knew of Soarynn's existence. They were going to see many of those people tonight at the charity auction that President Ravenstill was hosting at the President's Mansion.
"I don't remember buying you this dress," he says, pulling on the strings. She sucks in her breath as he tightens up the dress and lets out a small groan, "Well you bought me about a million dresses when we got here." She's not wrong. Once Coriolanus got back to the Capitol he gave him and Soarynn proper facelifts. He grew out his curls and got her hair cut, it had been so tangled and dirty. Now it fell around her breasts and had a more flattering cut.
He got Soarynn facials, massages, and all the creams and makeup she could ever want. If she was going to be his girl, she had to look the part. He taught her how to walk in heels, how to always be on her best behavior, to look people in the eye, to have manners.
She had to be perfect.
"Nothing wrong with keeping you properly clothed," he tells her before tying the strings off with a bow. "Now, for tonight I want you to be on your best behavior, and don't stray from my si-"
"From your side, I know," Soarynn huffs, walking back out into the hallway. Coriolanus is hot on her heels, she's not about to get an attitude with him. "I don't have time for any outbursts Soarynn," he reminds her, "people in the Capitol won't understand if you start behaving oddly." Soarynn makes it all the way to the living room before he latches onto her wrist and pulls her into him, she struggles but Coriolanus has always been much stronger than her, even if she has filled out a little more with her new Capitol diet.
"I don't wanna go Coriolanus," she whispers, trying to pry his arm off of her, "all those men do is look at me and act like I'm some shiny trophy." She is a trophy but she doesn't need to know that.
Coriolanus sighs, "Soarynn, I'm not asking you to come with me, I'm telling you that you're coming with me tonight, like it or not. Besides, lots of their wives will be there. You like them don't you?"
Since getting back to the Capitol, Coriolanus had been working extremely hard to reconnect with the higher elite. He was going to run for President in the next election and to do that and win, he needed connections. He befriended all sorts of wealthy men and politicians, knowing that it could only help his campaign.
Soarynn didn't really understand any of it, why he'd want to run for President. "You already have a nice fancy house," she'd said one night, the two of them sitting in their after-sex bliss. He had given her a squeeze and pressed a kiss to her bare shoulder, "Yes, but it's different. You'll see."
Soarynn looks down at the ground, her entire body somewhat deflates, "I don't like talkin' to them. They're so old and boring." Coriolanus has to withhold himself from wrapping a hand around her pretty little neck because the last thing he needs is for her to say something like that in front of the wrong person. "They're married to the most influential men in Panem," he reminds her, "and what did I say about properly enunciating your words?"
Getting that southern twang out of Soarynn's voice had been more than difficult. It wasn't even the accent that bothered him, but the vocabulary, the shortened words, the strange sayings. It all had to go and he'd been working hard with her to get it out of her system.
He didn't mind it as much when they were alone but in public was a different story. He had introduced her to an associate of his when they first arrived in the Capitol and Soarynn had horribly embarrassed him. She had attempted to compliment his associate's shoes and yet she found the most revolting words to do so.
After that, Coriolanus learned his lesson.
"You said to talk proper because the folks in the Capitol won't understand me," she mumbles. Coriolanus slips two fingers under her chin, tilting her head up to look at him, "Yes I did. And I need you to be on your best behavior for me tonight, understand?" Soarynn's eye twitches but she nods, "Alright, I'll be on my best behavior."
꧁ ꧂
The President's Mansion is everything he could have imagined.
Coriolanus can't help but imagine what it'll look like when he's living here. He'll repaint the walls for sure, add some more marble statues in the gardens, maybe a greenhouse. "It's so big," Soarynn says in awe as she looks around. Coriolanus nods, they've only been granted access to certain parts of the Mansion and he already feels as though he could get lost at any moment. He spots a few of his old Academy friends and tugs Soarynn along with him, "I want you to meet some of my old friends."
Soarynn has nothing to do but nod and put on the pretty smile he's taught her before they reach Festus Creed and Felix Ravenstill. "Coriolanus Snow, what a rare sight to see," Festus teases. Coriolanus rolls his eyes and wraps his arm around Soarynn a little tighter. Festus is known to have wandering eyes along with wandering hands.
"I thought I might make an appearance," Coriolanus says nonchalantly. He won't tell them how excited he was when Soarynn walked into his study with a shiny envelope addressed to him. He normally didn't appreciate Soarynn coming into his study without permission but she had walked right in, holding out the envelope, "It looked real important," she had said. Indeed it was.
The boys aren't even trying to hide the fact that they're ogling Soarynn and Coriolanus would be a fool not to play that to his advantage, "Have I introduced you to Soarynn?" Felix's jaw is slightly slacked and Coriolanus is willing to bet that it's from the amount of cleavage Soarynn is showing tonight. Charity auction be damned, Coriolanus was going to make sure that everyone envied him and the pretty girl on his arm.
"I don't believe you have," Festus says, "I'm Festus Creed and I'm extremely talented in bed." Coriolanus can't stop the scoff from leaving his mouth at his friend's vulgar language but Soarynn laughs and leans her head on his shoulder, "I'm sure you've got a real talent," she replies.
Coriolanus knows that any well-behaved Capitol lady would be repulsed by Festus and his crude comments. They'd flinch and gasp but Soarynn doesn't. Even though she hasn't slept with anyone but him since arriving at the Capitol she's still numb to the idea of sleeping around. And it disgusts him. To see her so casually replying to comments such as the one Festus made, to laugh and tease him back. She should know better.
Although Coriolanus feels that once you've whored yourself out enough, comments like this won't even phase you.
You can take the whore out of the Districts, but you can't take the Districts out of the whore.
He shoots both Soarynn and Festus a look, "Why don't we keep the conversations civil?" He suggests, quieting both of them down. Felix looks somewhat uncomfortable and Coriolanus plays into it, "So Felix, is your uncle prepared for the Presidential race?" Felix sighs and rolls his eyes, "He won't shut up about it."
Coriolanus is hoping to overtake Felix's uncle so any inside information is crucial. "Is he nervous?" Soarynn asks, somewhat intrigued at the premise of being related to the President of Panem. Soarynn wasn't very political or involved with politics. She only really cared about the Mayor back in Twelve but that was such a small scale compared to the Capitol.
Felix shrugs, "Not nervous, he just..." His voice dies off and he seems to be lost in thought for a moment before shaking his head, "Never mind. He'll do fine, it's just another election to him."
Coriolanus nods and gives Felix a polite smile but he can't help but wonder what Felix was going to say. He needs to find out, get the inside scoop so he can win. But there's really no way to get that close to a Ravenstill, at least not without being creepy. Coriolanus cringes at the thought of cozying up to Felix, trying to win him over. Absolutely not. It's only effective when girls do it.
When. Girls. Do. It.
He looks down at the very pretty girl at his side, who is still so young, turning eighteen in a month, so vulnerable without him, completely dependent on him. She belongs to him.
"Excuse us," Coriolanus says before dragging Soarynn away from his friends which earns him a curious look from her but he ignores it, "Where're we goin'?" Coriolanus could lose it right then and there at her improper grammar but he brushes it under the rug, he'll have to be forgiving for this plan to work, to make Soarynn compliant. He finds a dark and empty hallway and pushes Soarynn up against the wall, his lips are on hers in an instant.
Soarynn moans into the kiss, her hands come up to grab his shoulders while he grabs her small waist. Coriolanus isn't too keen on public displays of affection, not when his image matters so much. But Soarynn has always got off on it. She's always been a slut.
"You look so pretty tonight," he whispers against her lips. She really does. Her hair has been curled and perfectly frames her face and her makeup is light and subtle, perfectly enhancing her natural features. Soarynn's always been pretty, but the District life managed to dull that natural charm. In the Capitol her skin is brighter, bouncier, her hair is thicker, her lashes longer. Thank goodness he brought her here.
Soarynn whimpers when his hands slide down to her ass and he squeezes it, "Tha...thank you Coriolanus," she whispers back. She's also much more sensitive in the Capitol. More responsive to his touch now that he's the only man who gets to fuck her tight little cunt every night.
He shoves his knee in between her legs and Soarynn gasps, grinding against it. Coriolanus chuckles, "Always a little slut for me huh? Even in the President's Mansion." He presses kisses up and down her neck, sucking on her sweet spots. He's careful to leave nothing behind, no one needs to know what they're doing. "I need you to do something for me," he says while kissing her jaw. Soarynn sighs and leans into his touch, the touch she's been so desperate for the entire week. With work and his campaign, Coriolanus has been more than busy the past couple of weeks and hasn't been properly taking care of his little District whore. She's more than eager to be fucked, which begs the question if she's willing to be fucked by anyone.
"Anything," she says and she means it too. He knows Soarynn will do anything to be fucked, to be touched, and maybe just maybe feel some sort of genuine connection. Even though she won't come outright and say it, he knows that she wants something more than sex. She wants to be loved. Soarynn had asked him about it when they first arrived, what the dynamic of their relationship would be like. She didn't want it to be like it used to be, where he sold her off to the highest bidder. "You're my girl," he had told her, "don't you worry your pretty little head about it."
But Soarynn had worried. He could see how she clung to words of praise like they were a lifeline to her. Without him, she was nothing. And Soarynn couldn't afford to be nothing.
He brings his lips right next to her ear and whispers the next eight words, "I want you to sleep with Felix Ravenstill."
She stills once those words register in her brain and she pulls away from his touch immediately. Coriolanus lets her move his hands off of her and take a step back, he can see the hurt in her eyes, the betrayal. "You...you said I wouldn't have to do that anymore," she says. Her voice is so fragile, so quiet and shaky. Coriolanus pinches the bridge of his nose, he needs this to go smoothly. He can't afford any loose ends.
He reaches out for her but she flinches, "Soarynn, it's to help me win, don't you want to help me? To be good for me? Be my good girl?" Soarynn's lip quivers and he can see her fighting the urge to cry, "I wanna be more than your girl Coriolanus," she says, "you can throw away a girl at any time. A wife is different." She's smarter than he's given her credit for.
Coriolanus looks down at the tiled floor, at his shiny black shoes, and nods, "Okay." Soarynn sniffles, shifting on her feet, "Okay? Okay, what?" Coriolanus looks back up at her, starting from her high heels and making his way up her slim body, admiring how the dress hugs her just right. Felix is going to love ripping it off of her.
"Okay, I'll make you my wife. If I win then we'll get married. It'll be a grand wedding and we'll have children and start a family, a new life together," he promises.
Soarynn eats it right up.
"What...what do I have to do?" She asks, looking so small and naive. Coriolanus grins, "Exactly what I tell you to do."
꧁ ꧂
He's a nervous wreck while he paces in his living room, watching the television screen for any updates.
He also keeps glancing at the front doors, waiting for Soarynn to get back from her very important night out. "Come on," he whispers, "hurry it up." He can't be too upset, sleeping with the President of Panem takes some time, but he's an impatient man.
It's all played out perfectly for him.
Soarynn has slept his way to the top. First, she sunk her claws into Felix Ravenstill that night at the charity auction. They snuck away to one of the many bedrooms and Soarynn came stumbling out the back entrance of the house a few hours later covered in bruises and other bodily fluids. Apparently, Festus had wanted in on the action but the job was done either way.
Then, she made her move on the President's security detail. Coriolanus knew those men wouldn't let her get too close without some convincing that she was a harmless little field mouse. Soarynn had been terrified at the prospect of sleeping with men who had guns on them at all times but Coriolanus was swift to remind her of her time spent on the Peacekeeper bases. "Those men would've fucked you with their guns and you would've liked it," he had hissed, grabbing her jaw and slamming her into the wall, "now stop being a whiny brat and do as I say."
There had been tears and new promises made, but in the end, she made it to Ravenstill.
From what Soarynn told him, Ravenstill was an old, boring man who partook in the most basic sex she's ever had. And Coriolanus was more than willing to take her word on it. Ravenstill did however get off on seeing other men have a turn on Soarynn, something Coriolanus didn't predict. She had come home in tears, a bruise on her cheek and blood between her legs. He had comforted her and washed her gently in the bath before swaddling her in the comfiest pajamas. "Only one more time," he whispered as she finally drifted off to sleep, "you'll only sleep with the President one more time." And he meant it. Soarynn would never sleep with the President of Panem again.
His attention is drawn to the doors when he hears them open and a disheveled-looking Soarynn appears. Her eyes immediately find him and he raises his eyebrows. Has she done it? She nods. Coriolanus breaks into a giant smile, and strides across the room and the foyer and scoops Soarynn up in his arms, listening to her squeal in delight, "Oh you're perfect," he tells her, "this is it Soarynn. You've done everything and now it's all done."
Soarynn is grinning like a wildcat and she giggles, "It was real scary watchin' him cough up all that blood. I had to act so surprised." Coriolanus chuckles as he sets her down on her feet, "I'm sure you were the perfect little actress. He's dead then?" Soarynn nods and bats her eyelashes up at him, "Dead as a doornail."
They celebrate big that night. Coriolanus makes love to Soarynn for the first time while the Capitol news plays in the background, informing them that President Ravenstill has succumbed to a sudden deadly illness and has passed away. The country will be in shambles but with Coriolanus tied neck and neck with Ravenstill in the election, it's no question who will take over.
"I love you," he grunts, fucking into her slow and steady. She looks beautiful under him, absolutely beautiful. "You'll be my perfect First Lady. Can't wait to fuck my children into you, watch you walk around all swollen with my heir, carrying the Snow name."
He can picture it now, their prosperous future. Their wedding, their children, and then, Soarynn's unfortunate death. Unforeseen of course but at the perfect time when the children are old enough to be looked after by a nanny and he can remarry without causing too much suspicion.
Soarynn smiles up at him before pressing her lips against his, "Snow lands on top," she whispers.
Snow certainly does land on top.
꧁ ꧂
"Coriolanus, what are your plans for Panem once you're sworn in as President?"
Coriolanus wishes he could tell all these reporters to fuck off with their stupid, basic questions but he just smiles through the pain. It's customary for the future President to have one press briefing before being sworn in. Today has been a long day of festivities leading up to his inauguration. He's less than an hour away from being President of Panem and he can taste it, taste the power.
He looks powerful. With his hair perfectly styled, the red rose pinned to his lapel. He glances to his right where his fiancé is standing, prim and proper. Once Ravenstill was out of the picture, Soarynn snapped into being the perfect Capitol lady for Coriolanus. If he knew this was what it took to get her in line, he would've killed the man ages ago. Coriolanus sleeps well knowing that he's managed to get Soarynn to do all his dirty work and has secured himself the perfect wife.
He can't afford any loose ends and eventually, Soarynn will have to go, but until then, Coriolanus plans on enjoying his perfect little wife and her tight little cunt until they're both of no use to him.
"I plan to get this nation into shape," he responds, "and to tighten the security on the Peacekeeper bases. I myself was a Peacekeeper and I was a witness to vermin slipping through the cracks one too many times." He can see Soarynn slightly flinch at the word 'vermin' but it's not his fault that she chose whoring as her profession. It was fine back then but now things need to change. He can't have any District rats swaying the opinions of his Peacekeepers.
The report nods and jots down his response and Coriolanus withholds a sigh of relief. He's finally done. Now, all he has to do is be sworn in. He's been waiting for this moment his whole life and it's finally happening.
Snow lands on top.
"Mr. Snow? Just one more question. I'm Sejanus Plinth from the Capitol Gazette."
Coriolanus who was about to step down from the podium, zeroes in on the outspoken voice, the same outspoken voice that caused him nothing but annoyance and being heavily inconvenienced.
Sejanus Plinth.
As District as they come, and nothing but a speck of dirt on his shiny leather shoes. It's no surprise that he chose journalism as his profession. He probably thinks he's going to "change the world" with his shabby little articles.
Coriolanus remembers ending him more than anything. Sejanus had everything he wanted. A family, money, and a higher status than the one Coriolanus used to possess. Now the tables have turned and he finally gets to look down on poor Sejanus Plinth who's so desperate to ask him single question. His response will probably earn Sejanus a small amount of money that he'll then use to try and help the less fortunate.
Coriolanus feels the cruel grin spreading across his lips as he nods at Sejanus, "Go ahead. I'm always willing to speak to the less fortunate." A wave of laughter passes through the crowd of reporters and Sejanus manages a somewhat professional smile.
"Is it true that you've been selling your fiancé out to influential men?"
Coriolanus feels his smile slightly waver but his face never falters, "Pardon? I...I don't quite understand what you're asking," he says with a light-hearted chuckle. There's a tension in the room and he can't quite get rid of it.
Sejanus tilts his head, "Is it true, that you have been selling your fiancé's body for the past years to move up in the world? It's a simple question, Mr. Snow. According to my sources, you started sleeping with her when she was seventeen while you were serving as a Peacekeeper in District Twelve."
Coriolanus can't stop himself from turning to look at Soarynn who's staring right back at him, an expectant look on her face. She should look distraught, if his reputation's on the line, her's is too.
"I don't recall ever having any sexual relations with my fiancé when she was underage," he says, his voice firm. Sejanus gives him a teasing smile and Coriolanus can feel a pit beginning to form in his stomach.
"You sent her to partake in sexual interactions with Commanding Officer Hoff so you could bring her with you to District Two when you were reassigned as an Officer," Sejanus says, reading directly from the notes he's brought with him, "then in District Two you allowed Commanding Officer Potts to take advantage of her after he caught wind of you selling her out to higher ranking officers in hopes of you moving up in the ranks. Then you proceeded to sell her out to various Capitol men such as Felix Ravenstill, Festus Creed, and President Ravenstill who unfortunately passed away due to an "unknown illness" and my sources tell me that she often frequented the President's Mansion before he passed away."
There's an uneasiness in the room and people are beginning to whisper to one another and Coriolanus can feel it all slipping away. He glances to the door where he can see Felix and Festus attempting to leave but they're being held by security.
"Sexual slavery concerning a minor is a serious crime Mr. Snow, and so is murder, and I have evidence leading me to believe that you forced Miss Nightingale into poisoning the President so that you could win the election."
People are talking now, throwing around accusations and whispers. This is bad. Very, very bad. Every fucking news outlet in the country is in here getting this story. He watches as five Peacekeepers push their way through the crowd and he can only hope that they're coming to his rescue.
"Coriolanus Snow, you are under arrest under the premise of murder, participating in underage prostitution, and sexual coercion."
A camera flash goes off and everything is in slow motion. All the sounds around him are muffled as he's handcuffed and shoved towards the side of the stage. People are crying out for justice or for mercy. He can see Felix and Festus also being handcuffed shouting for him to do something.
But he can't. He's in shock.
Someone has to help him, someone has to tell the truth, well, not the truth, but enough of the truth so that he can get out of this. He looks to the one person who can help him, the one person who also happens to be responsible for all of this. Who waited for his big shining moment to take him down.
Soarynn.
She wears her most innocent smile, the same one she gives to all the men she's about to take advantage of. Sure, she'd sleep with anyone, but she'd also steal their watches, slip a few bills from their wallets, get them to help her out of a sticky situation.
He just always chose to ignore that.
Soarynn holds up her hands to the Peacekeepers and they surprisingly stop. Soarynn slowly walks over to Coriolanus until she's right in front of him. She's wearing red lipstick and has a rose tucked into her hair. Clear property of Coriolanus Snow. Soarynn reaches for the rose and pulls it from her hair, she brings it up to her nose and sniffs it, humming to herself as she closes her eyes.
"You hear that Coriolanus?"
All Coriolanus can hear are the shouts of everyone in the room. Of his life falling apart.
She opens her eyes before she crushes the rose in her hand, crumpled petals fall to the floor.
"It's the sound of Snow falling."

Lysistrata Vickers After Jessup's Death + Book Quotes (Ch. 17)
—The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (2023)
#font = nouvelle vague.#realized that there was a distinct lack of Lysistrata gifsets so i decided to fix that and slapped this together#I feel like her lack of gifsets is a result of her limited screentime but also look how many felix gifsets there are (that's my fault tho)#I remember after I read the book I wished the movie was actually a miniseries so we could explore her more even before the movie was out#abyssal stuff#abyssal gifs#the ballad of songbirds and snakes#the hunger games#tbosas#thg series#gifset#gifs#lysistrata vickers#tbosasedit#thgedit#hunger games#tbosbas#the hunger games trilogy

I introduce to you ✨THE 24 OG MENTORS✨ in my TBOSAS Crack!Alternate Universe (also known as the world where Dean Highbottom made dumpster diving illegal because of Festus Creed and Coryo Snow’s involvement. Moreover, the 10th Hunger Games never happened because of a certain someone’s ✨nepotism✨). [Read this for context]
⭐️❄️⭐️
Class Pres. Felix Ravinstill took this class photo after the Academy Mentors barely passed their final calculus exam. As always, Urban Canville got the highest score.
Lysistrata Lizzie Vickers and Domitia Dairy Queen Whimsiwick (aka: The founders of the famous ✨SnowPlinth Fan Club✨) accidentally blocking Festus Creed and Sejanus Plinth in the picture. Coryo Snow and Io Jasper joined in for fun, while Urban Canville is smiling like an idiot at the back after seeing Florus Friend trip.
Apollo Ring with Androcles Andie Anderson and Urban Canville trying not to look suspicious after successfully stealing Dr. Gaul’s pitbull rabbit after class.
Festus Creed trying and failing to annoy Lucky Flickerman for the hundredth time. Jubilee was not pleased.
Vipsania Sickle and Apollo Ring ✨slaying✨ for that best dressed award.
Coriolanus Coryo Snow waiting for his sugar daddy ✨boyfriend✨, Sejanus Plinth to pick him up from school. They’ll go shoe shopping afterwards.
Class President Felix Ravinstill taking a selfie after ruining his family’s last Hunger Games watch party.
Coryo Snow trying and acting dramatic at the train station while waiting for the Tributes’ train to arrive. Also, this picture was taken by Sejanus Plinth. #supportive #rich #boyfriend

A series of Big Boss studies in which he seriouses up progressively.
This started as a weird collage of post-its and tape in an attempt to try to recreate the type of sketches Yoji Shinkawa does with those blocky, almost digital-looking compositional elements. It's drawn in ballpoint pen, alcohol markers and white paint pens.
