Your intentions was originally to take a few pictures for Mark to add on to his desk at work or even his wallet like other significant others that you've known.

The camera was something that you had as a graduation present from your family a few years ago. It was relatively inexpensive and easy to find more carterages for your camera.

The pictures started off rather normal, a basic selfie that was rather conservative in appearance- something that Mark would be proud to show you off. You were wearing one of his old button up shirts, sitting in his chair at his desk at your shared house.

The Innocent intention you had began to fade into more lewd as you decided to push the envelope more. It started with you unbuttoning his shirt, showing off the details of your torso.

You decided to do more risqué positions with the bedroom look on your eyes while posing around the camera. One of your favorite photos you took was you bending over his desk, showing the edge of the curve of your ass.

It was a couple hours since you finished with your photoshoot, neatly placing the photographs into an envelope with Mark's name on the cover with a heart next to it.

Hearing the front door unlock, you quickly place the envelope onto his desk before darting to the sofa, fake reading a newspaper. Mark greeted you with a kiss before going to his desk to place a new file on it.

Mark was in the middle of asking you about dinner for tonight as he opened the envelope, his eyes darkened lustfully as a smirk painted over his face. His footsteps grew closer to you as he stood behind you, his head beside yours as he whispers into your ear.

"On second thought, I think I'm craving something else other than food."

But enough with the sappy words, let's focus on a proper way to celebrate this milestone, shall we?

As promised this is a celebration for writers and readers (a big thank you to @deathofpeaceofmind for brainstorming with me and for designing the lovely header): here is what we'll do:

I'll choose one of the books listed above and will select a sentence I can find on the page belonging to the number you've chosen for your ask. You can do with the sentence/quote as you please, but it has to show up in the fic.

You'll have time to write your fic till the 10th of December 2023.

Please only write reader-insert fics, use a keep reading tag, and use appropriate warnings. It can be as dark, as angsty, as smutty, as fluffy as you want, there is no limit for the word count. You can combine this with other challenges if you want. You can also write more than one fic for this celebration.

Hello beloved! It’s always a privilege to see you in my inbox, thank you so much for this lovely ask and apologies for taking two centuries to reply lol this was a quite emotional trip down memory lane for me - I couldn’t decide whether to go with rec lists or single recs (oof I haven’t written one in so long 🥲) because they’re both so different and special in their own way. In the end I’m gonna do lists because I think they’re generally more helpful and popular! I’ve been going through a creative / fandom slump for a while now, so this was great encouragement as it made me look back at my own recs with joy and kindness. Thank you babes 💜

1. I actually still love the Drarry for Beginners series! Fun story, I wasn’t very confident about it at first - I was getting many requests for a classics rec list back then but I don’t really vibe with the “MUST read these or you’re not a valid fandom member” mentality so I tried to come up with a different format that felt more like an invitation than a lecture. I think I found a good balance of well known fics and hidden gems, so I’m very proud of that. Also, the banners looked really good! Especially the redemption arc and the Muggle!Draco AU ones if I do say so myself.

2. The Hidden Gems series is also one of my most precious babies - it took me a long time to plan it out, read all fics and prepare the small blurbs for each one and I really love how it came across, the authors I chose to highlight, and the fact that I was able to mix Drarry and rare pairs. I remember getting an ask back in the day that accused me of only reccing my friends (anon really overestimated my network size 🤣), they could have at least checked the hidden gem series before going for public embarrassment lol there’s so much to explore there, and I really wanna come back to it one day to finalize the second edition that I started posting in 2022. Hopefully this year!

3. 35 Romantic Shorts: my heart is so very soft for this one, not only because the ever generous @bluebutter-art has let me use her stunning art for the banner, but I’m also such a passionate champion of short form and I feel like this list really embraced the concept and delivered great recs. I’m not a fluff gal by any standards so this was a nice exercise finding the softest, most romantic and soothing reads that made my heart beat faster. It would be lovely to go back and maybe add a couple more lists with new shorts, or alternatively make new lists for medium-length and long fics. So many ideas, so little time!

4. It feels like a lifetime ago but I’m still very fond of my “smutty recs week” that I made to celebrate one of my first followers milestone. Ahh the nostalgia! All lists can be found here and include a wide variety of themes and kinks like voyeurism, dirty talk, gang bang and others. Those banners are some of my favourites too, they turned out very sassy and clever if I do say so myself. I had so much fun with them! I gotta find the time to sit down and update some of those lists with newer treats!

5. Now highlighting something more recent (from Feb 2023… LOL) I’m super proud of my Rare Pair Romance list for Valentine’s Day. It was a great chance to compile (most of) my favorite rare pair fics in one place and include different ships and tropes. I’m always looking for an excuse to rec het pairings which I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, so this was the perfect way to do it.

Short answer: yes, I am still writing all my unfinished fics on ao3.

Long answer: I am always writing and do not plan on stopping. Unfortunately I write based entirely on what I want to write, so I rarely write in chronological order lol. These past weeks I've been writing up a storm but it's chapters 24-27 of wato, helpful only to future me.

I, as a person in the real world, have a lot going on. I have been told by people that maybe my fics should go on hiatus until I defend my thesis (November), but uhhhhhh they bring me so much joy I cannot do that. I am viewing this ask as an excuse to just ramble about my writing (which is the only thing I love more than writing itself):

My most popular fic in 2023 was definitely Hidden Pleasures! I’m not sure if it’s because it was a BDSM exchange fic or because people like it so much to keep going back, but it has the most hits of a Hitman one-shot fic I’ve ever done (currently at 711 hits). It is rather good and smutty, if I do say so myself 😍

Oh you know I’m looking to continue Infected With You in 2024, I love that series and I’m excited to get the next update posted at some point. I’m sure I’ll also add more into the Songs and Silencers collection and probably Moments in the Sun, too. :) And who knows? Maybe I’ll start another series or collection that’s been teasing my brain for a while.

What was your pairing doing each Valentine’s day? (Book 1, 2 and 3, + the first one after series) as in “what was happening in their lives that February 14th.” Did they acknowledge it in any kind of way? (Book 1 or 2). Do you have Valentine’s Day fics?

Hi Nonny. The Valentine Twins don't celebrate V-Day. It's a non-day for them. Here's why. As a result, my Valentine Day fics are not the type you'd expect -- unlike my regular fics which are pure romance. 😂

I have to admit that I don't have it all figured out (still!), but here's what I do know.

Intern year: Cassie and Sienna were working. In my timeline, this is a couple of weeks after Miami. Cassie is researching a cure for Mrs. Martinez (Ch 11). Sienna is feeling the stress of residency and thinking of quitting until Max cheers her up. I showed that in Dolphin Adventures. I haven't shown Cassie on Feb 14, but I have a fic in mind for this year.

Second year: This is Cassie and Ethan's first V-Day as a couple, but he soon discovers it's the farthest thing from her mind (Black). max and Sienna are just friends at this point. He wouldn't really celebrate or recognize the day, but I might do a Sienna fic. I'm getting a somewhat angsty idea (since it's after Danny's death).

Third year: Cassie and Sienna are studying for their boards. This is around the time that Sienna starts to get super stressed/depressed. The text exchanges in the middle of this fic are from that time. As for Cassie, I haven't quite decided what she's doing around then except for working. Let me see if I get inspired.

Post series: In 2022, Cassie was traveling for work. I created this really smutty text fic, Spice, to mark the occasion. In 2023, I haven't quite decided what's happening since they're married now. But for now, I hc that this fic is on V-Day. I do want to write something for when their girls are older and want to celebrate.

In 2022, Maxenna are keeping their distance. I hc that Sienna spends the day in the pediatric ward spreading love and joy. Might write that fic. This year, they're married and Sienna learns about Max's stance on V-Day. Here's the fic: Under the Stars. Two years later, they find out they're expecting their second child in The Competition.
