in the least disrespectful way possible, i hope the iskall situation teaches hermits that just because their fav is not on the dream smp side of myct means that they’re automatically a good/better person compared to the ones who are, because i’ve noticed a lot of parasocial behavior in the hermit fandom and it’s not healthy so I hope this puts it into perspective that nobody really knows their favorite creator

I (a lesbian) accidentally kissed one of my guy friends while super drunk because a girl was flirting with me before it and when he tried to cuddle me a few days later I panicked, started infodumping about hermitcraft for 30 minutes and then told him I don’t think of him that way 💀

My problem with RPF in this fandom is that 99% of fics on ao3 about it is really RPS (real person shipping) cause RPF involves both romantic and platonic fics. The Dream smp is perfect for this. You can have a fic where DNF is real but you can also have a fic where Ranboo visits his British friends. It’s both still RPF but the first is romance and the second is platonic. Two different flavours of RPF but there’s a variety.

But hermit fans only think of RPF as shipping the creators, they’re really only on about RPS, not the other. Good freaking luck if you’re looking for hermit RPF that doesn’t involve shipping and especially if you’re looking for something that isn’t tagged M or E. There’s only three fics that aren’t about romance and I counted three that aren’t tag with romantic relationships but the additional tags and summaries are romantic.

There’s a lack of RPF that isn’t shipping and I think that’s my problem. “RPF is fine” but really it’s just RPS. Where’s the fics of Scar finally meeting Grian in person or fics where Pearl meets her cubito in the real world? All without romance. Their perspective of RPF is so very limited that seeing that meme annoys me.

“Just write it yourself!” Unfortunately I have a problem called ���I can barely write the characters projected from the screen and I will tear at my hair if I dared write a real person just to get their personality incorrect’

I’m a perfectionist. Anyway SWITCH YOUR RPF UP THIS IS A THREAT. I need CC!Scar to take C!Scar to Disneyland.
