I kept seeing people talk about the whole canary and the coal miner thing, and I felt the need to draw this immediately so here it is lol

On one hand, yay the canary curse is finally broken!

On the other hand, nooo Mumbo! D:

On a third hand, I think it's really funny to imagine the canary curse not just being a curse, but rather being an actual canary sent by the Watchers specifically to mess with Jimmy + that canary being ticked off that it didn't get to kill him first this season xD

I do wonder if the canary will redeem itself by getting him second, but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. Like I said up in the art, who will take care of the canary when the coal miner is gone?

(Also I am very new here and this is my first time drawing any of these people but I am incredibly proud of how Mumbo turned out :D)

mumbo died on his last attempt. right before grian would have ended the session. right before grian could have saved him.

he could have taken the shot then and there. he could have lived.

but the miner didn't want to kill the canary. he wanted the canary to live. and he died for it. because miners aren't meant to go into the coal mines alone.
