Ok, genuine question here (I’m still browsing through your Sweetheart AU but I wanted to ask just in case), what is Sweetheart’s rank? Like is she a recruit? An officer? A high ranking member like Ghost or Price? Also does she got a specialty (an example I can think of is Soap specializes in explosives/demolitions)?

She is a Sergeant!

Another reason why Soap and Sweetheart are so close is because of their ranks. People call them "Sergeants S&S" when they see the duo together 💀

And she's more "shoot shoot kill kill" than hanging in from the sidelines, so I can see her specializing in infantry, infiltration, and training! Yk like destroying the enemy by assault and close combat, and training the recruits and rookies.

She honestly needs to be careful doin this shit because she has a weak shoulder. (She injured it, and it never healed correctly because she forgot to take care of it. Now she has messed up tendons resulting in a painful and weak left shoulder) but she wears a shoulder brace everytime she goes on a mission or when she's in pain.

Price knows about body pain, so he gives her massages every once in a while if it's unbearable. And Alex is trying to push Sweetheart to go see a chirp or a doctor to get it fixed.

Alex: You dislocate your shoulder like- four times a week, Sweet cheeks. I think you should see a chiropractor or maybe even get surgery.

Sweetheart, sighing and rotating her arm: Yeah, you're right Alex. Thanks for lookin' out for me!

Alex, smiling: You're welcome.

office au! with coworker!gojo

he's the type to always be a little late. by a little, i of course mean a lot. he always bursts in the door with the biggest smile on his lips and four coffees in his hand. he winks at his coworkers, who then always blush and giggle out a hi, satoru! and you always roll your eyes at that. satoru nods his male coworkers, who always try to dap him up and start a conversation but he doesn't have time for that. he has things to do. (as if he isn't literally Late smh)

he answers the guys' question while he's walking – his eyes set on his favourite coworker. you. sitting in your cubicle, you're trying to ignore him and his dramatic enterance. that he does every single day. how annoying can he be? before you can roll your eyes again, a cup of coffee has landed on your table, making you glance over your shoulder.

he's blinding you, his grin is stretched so wide it's almost a bit creepy. he's standing right behind you, leaning his hand on your table right next to where he just placed the coffee. he's way too close for a co-worker and you gulp.

ugh.

"aren't you gonna thank your favourite coworker for bringing you coffee? whew, tough crowd, huh." his smile doesn't falter and he just leans in closer, his cologne clouding your senses.

UGH.

and he really does do it every single fucking day. he brings you coffee and he annoys you and he makes your eyes roll so hard you almost go blind and you hate to admit that he's kinda cute... it's whatever.

back to the coffees. so one of them is for you – he knows your order because he dug out the receipt from your bag when you weren't looking on his second day there. he almost got caught, too. but he only did that because you didn't wanna tell him your order!! and he was so insistent on bringing you coffee that he just had to find another way. he loved the way your eyes widened and how you tried to mask your surprised expression but nothing gets past his keen eyes. when you asked how he did it, he just told you that he guessed it. yeah, right....

the second coffee is for him. it's an insanely sweet latte. how do you know? he made you try it. more liked begged for you to try it. you also hate to admit that his puppy-dog eyes worked on you... he only drinks the special latte from the corner coffee shop and he refuses to drink the office "coffee". he's fancy like that.

the third coffee is for his second favourite coworker – kento nanami! they sure make an interesting pair. kento is the main reason why satoru even got the job. the latter begged him to pitch for him to the boss; he was so excited by the concept of Office Work and just had to try it out. he, of course, passed the interview with flying colors and kento regrets his decision to "help" him out in the first place. satoru yaps his ears off whenever he isn't doing the same to you and he's constantly leaving little notes for the man. you once saw one and it just had a miniature penis drawn on it. very mature.

and the fourth coffee is for your boss. satoru isn't sucking up like you originally thought he was. you think he just wants to bring her coffee? your boss is cool – she's in her forties and she has a strong voice, everybody always listens to her and she really does make for a very good boss. your guess is that satoru has a crush on her. (you're wrong. he also just thinks she's super fucking cool. literally nothing else to it.)

he's always wearing a fancy white button-up with a black tie loosely hanging around his neck and a pair of matching black slacks that hug his thighs so nicely that the women and the men of the office are always finding it hard to not stare at them. he gets an obnoxious ego boost from this.

he's constantly leaning on other people's desks, pushing his hips out and it really is hard to concentrate whenever he does it. the pose and the smug smirk he sends you when he catches you looking is making you feel hot. he always catches you too, it's so annoying. why can't he just continue doing whatever he's doing so you can admire him in peace?

he's loud, he's annoying and he's so fucking good at his job that firing him couldn't even be a passing thought. he actually does his paperwork rather fast; often finishing before you and that gives him the time to tease you for being slow. he does that way less than you expected though. only a few times in a day – enough to annoy you but never enough to actually make you upset or angry. he actually helps you sometimes. he can tell you don't wanna ask and he doesn't wanna make you feel bad - he'd rather watch you roll your pretty eyes at his stupid jokes with a small hidden smile than roll them with a deep frustrated sigh. he learned that the hard way.

he loves your smile. more often than not you can't keep the straight face you try to put up with him, making your loud laughter resonate throughout the whole office. oh, how his eyes shine at that.

long story short. he's infuriating. he's funny. he's way too good at his job. he's way too handsome. you loathe working with him and yet, you can't stop smothering him in kisses whenever you two "happen" to meet in the printer room.

I m a g i n e. Picture it.

You're a gunslinger. Have been for a long time. Your reputation proceeds you. Sometimes, that's a good thing. Other times, it's your worst enemy. People either sing your praises and cheer as you walk down the street, or you are constantly looking over your shoulder for the malevolent gazes watching you from the dark. There's no in between. One day, you find yourself at a bar. A rundown bar within a dusty town that seems presumably empty, but you can feel the hostility oozing from every dark corner like a bad omen. You try to ignore it, settling down and ordering a shot of your favorite whiskey. You tell yourself to keep your cool, to act as unsuspecting as possible... but to keep a hand poised near your gun at all times. The bar's swing doors slam open. You glance over your shoulder, raising an eyebrow from under the brow of your dark hat. There stands a red panda; so small, it seems like a bad joke. She is wearing clothes reminiscent to yours, but they're too big for her. It's like she borrowed an older sibling's clothes and then strolled out into town, intent on playing with the big kids.

You don't move, just silently watch this red panda clomp into the bar, heading directly toward you. You don't have anything to say; although, at this point, you questioned if you could even come up with something to say.

The red panda struggles and climbs up the stool, excessively grunting and taking far longer than was comfortable to achieve the action. Once she was finally done, she turns to you, slapping an arm on the bar and asks with the most strained, unhinged laughter you have ever heard in your 45 years of life,

"So. Mouthwashing, am I right-?"

I'm s o r r y. This is all my long, unhinged way to say "I wrote a Mouthwashing fix-it fic in the span of a day and half and wanted to tell you guys, but in the most cursed way possible"

Why did I write this cursed lil ramble to say something which could have easily been said in one sentence??

so from what i can tell in your h.c's lucy gray, very understandably, starts off cold to coriolanus when they go to the capitol (shocker, girls don't like getting shot) is there ever a specific turning point where they sorta have a new normal (by their standards) and if so do you have a hc of that moment

I think that would only happen once LG sees the twins actually somewhat enjoy/get used to living in the capitol? Maybe its like a lightbulb moment for LG, her kids aren’t fighting over food anymore when they think she can’t see them, (tangent but,, I definitely don’t want the kids to come across as selfish(?) but they’re kids, they’re hungry n underfed, and its natural to fight over stuff w ur sibling. They know their mom does her absolute best so they try not to fight in front of her, but it must’ve absolutely broken LG’s heart when she first saw them fight esp over food. Prob also the first time she cracks n thinks maybe reaching out to CS wouldn’t be so bad, ofc she immediately dismisses those thoughts) they’re warm, and safe n under the protection of the most powerful person in panem. LG realizes she can’t keep believing that the capitol is the worst thing that could happen to her kids when she sees them so happy. Maybe it’s after they come back from their first day of school, it’s a 180 from when she sent them off, both kids were terrified and clinging to her skirt. If it weren’t for CS, she might’ve taken them right back into her arms and gone home with them, but when the twins come back after school all excited and animatedly talking over each other to tell CS n LG abt their day, LG feels relief and grief at the same time. Her twins were fine but now she knows their happiness means she can never escape CS or the capitol.

I think CS clocks this n finds it so amusing. Maybe he picks up the kids in his arms (for visual ref look at my fan art of CS carrying Maude ivory lawl) all while keeping eye contact w LG, only breaking eye contact to face each twin n tells them “slow down, one at a time so ur mother can hear you, right LG?” Or do u think he’d call her a nickname 👁️👄👁️

This is one of the calm moments between the chaos that makes up most of their lives — or certainly their interactions. Violence comes in many forms, sometimes in the form of a fist, sometimes the clashing of lips and teeth. And then there are the calmer times. Times where they drink and trade stories since the last time, times in the aftermath of a fight where it's breathless, exhausted laughs or sprawled together in bed, but in a comfortable silence. And sometimes its just in moments like these.

That's the thing. There is no promise of a next time. Each time they cross paths could be the first in a while and the last forever. Especially on Hanma's side. The singular gold eye that watches Draken now is proof enough of the consequences of his actions. But unlike others, Hanma has not shrunk and become timid or more cautious because of it. It's like nothing at all sans the fact he has yet to let Draken glimpse what lies beneath it. It's nothing pretty. He'd laughed, almost undetectably a bit forced when he'd seen Draken staring intently one time. Instead he'd changed the conversation with a eyepatch looks pretty cool on me though, right? Hanma nudges Draken's shoulder with a playful smile and mischief in his eye before he looks ahead. He lets the silence settle over, the gentle sounds of the water lapping at the pier and sides of the ships being the only noise filling the air. Even the seagulls and music of the taverns has tampered out.

He had to admit, seeing Draken had definitely become one of his favorite things when they made port. It was almost instinct to look for the familiar ship, or Draken's face at a tavern. Sometimes he was lucky. Sometimes he wasn't. Sometimes it was Draken who found him. Either way, it was impossible to deny that somehow, Draken had become a rather large part of his life when not on the open ocean.

His lips press together. Such words from anyone else would be nothing but that; pretty words and hollow truth. But this was Draken. It really wasn't like that with him. " My favorite days are with you. " He can play it off if Draken tries to dig at it too much, and Hanma is rather quick to try to divert attention from his words. " Hm.
