That Jake is the one who starts cleaning after drunk Payback threw up all over the bathroom and knows exactly what cleaning products will do the trick. That when Fritz is arrested for disturbance, he knows how to talk to the cops to get him released. That he can patch Fanboy like a professional medic after the guy got into a fight. That he can cook a meal from nothing, mend clothes and knows everything about meds. Turns out Jake had to take care for his family as the only responsible person since he was 5 years old. First his alcoholic parents and then his dying grandmother. Jake won’t let anyone in, but he will take care of them as much as he can. Rooster wants to change it.

"So fun fact about Bradley Bradshaw. Most people wouldn’t guess it looking at him, he presents as a stereotype of the hyper-masculine men of the 1980s. But when he’s stressed beyond belief, he bakes. It’s a coping mechanism that he picked up from his mother as a child, something that started as a way to bond with her and then when she got sick, turned into a way for him to find something he could control. OKAY. This story not only integrates soulmates but the timeline follows canon seamlessly and the concept of soulmarks fits in so naturally. This is a comfort fic for me because it's angsty, heartbreaking, and it really gets into Draco's PoV on the events that have happened over time up to DH. *chef's kiss* because of how well woven the little details are. Also, Draco needs a really big hug.

Marcus Flint never expected to run into Oliver Wood ever again. He is kind of glad he did, though.

What I love about this fic is the way Oliver pulls Marcus right into his bubble, which also extends to the Weasleys. It would be easy for people to hold grudges from the war, but it's clear that everyone has matured and are willing to move past some terrible things. Also, I love how Percy knows just how to plant a seed or two that gets Marcus' mind reeling when it comes to Oliver...🥰

When Susan Bones was twenty-three she would look across her steaming mug and the Ministry breakroom table, and see Hermione aching to burn it all down to ashes. Susan wanted to scour it to its roots, instead, wear it down to its rebar and concrete, and then rebuild from the old, worn foundations on up.

“Your parents died for you,” Susie told Harry Potter once. “My aunt died for this. Now either shut up and get me a fresh cup of coffee or try to drag me out of here before I finish this.”

But that was a war away. That was a childhood away from now.

Tedromeda fanfics

As time goes by I start to think this is the relationship I am more curious about in the whole HP universe. Ted Tonks is the Hufflepuff whose love and patience won Andromeda’s heart. Andromeda is the Black that got away and, despite the hardships, had a full and happy life. Teddy is her shining star, her beacon, in the end.

Tedromeda is one of the best love stories in canon. And yes, for fancast I really like Keira Knightley and James McAvoy for Andy x Ted.

Below I leave a (long) list of Tedromeda fanfics, some I’ve read, others are still pending. Leave your suggestions!

the lost generation (Chapters 5, 12 and 17) by Jennbob | Multichapters - Ongoing | Wolfstar and Jily | I sincerily worship the way Andromeda is portrayed in these chapters, her relation with Cissy, Sirius and Ted Tonks is, in my opinion, brilliantly explored. In fact, this fanfic does an amazing job in portraying the Black family, Regulus and Alphard Black are two other characters I am particularly fond of in this fanfiction.

Summer of 72’ by @padfoot-prongs-and-polaroids | Multichapters (9 so far) | Ongoing | Tedromeda | This is the story of the summer Andromeda Black and Ted Tonks fell in love. The thing I like the most in this love story is how support characters are developed and their stories intertwined with the two main characters - Andy and Ted. It’s a comforting love story, I am enjoying a lot reading it.

Headcanons about Slytherin Quidditch Team

(Flint, Pucey, Higgs, Montague, Warrington, Derrick, Bletchley, Bole and Malfoy)

* Their greatest motto is "snitches end up in ditches" (is that slyther_ing reference? It exactly is)

* Flint is kinda cruel when somebody doesn't do what he wants. He always threatens them with extra laps on training

* However, he is like a typical mother for them — overprotective, too nosy and has a favourite child

* And it's Adrian Pucey of course. Everyone is soft for Adrian

* And he knows how to use it. But he is still soft, good child

* "Real men are feminists"

* Adrian get mad only when sb calls him "Pussy" instead of "Pucey"

* But nearly everyone has stopped doing that because when you do, you can get beaten by Higgs

* Terence Higgs is still the part of Team even if he is not in the team

* And it wasn't like Marcus throw him off the team. Terence wanted and planned to leave to have more time for learning (you know, 7th year, NEWTs). And he and Flint decided to act in front of Malfoy — Higgs would leave either, but that way the team got new brooms

* Terence is a huge fan of cigarettes. His favourites are the mint flavour one

* Graham Montague has known he will be next leader since his third year. He became the leader after Flint's graduation, but Graham was the one who trained others when Flint repeated class

* He doesn't like his name and everyone has to call him by his surname or at least his second name (Ronan). He also uses their surnames more often than names.

* There are two exceptions to these — Adrian Pucey and Cassius Warrington.

Adrian because Graham thinks his surname doesn't fit him (and he usually pronounces it as "pussy" by accident, but he doesn't want to be beaten) and he knows that Adrian wouldn't ever use his name in a mocking way.

And Cassius because he also doesn't like his name. Graham calls him Cassie with all spite so Warrington can do the same to Graham (or how he says it — Grammy)

* Cassius thinks that his parents must really hate him if they named him like this

* Calling Montague "Grammy" and suggesting Flint has a crush on Wood are the only happiness in his life

* Derrick has had a crush on Alicia Spinnet

* From the whole team, he has probably the best relations with Gryffindors

* Derrick and Bletchley are the biggest gossipers in the world

* Bletchley hates when someone says he looks girlish. However, he likes feminine clothes

* Lucian Bole is handsome and he knows it, he is bigger narcissist than Higgs himself

* He said the rest of team to call him "Luke" (as a shorter form of Lucian) but nobody listened to him and they still call him Lucian

* He is a big fan of muggle's transport, especially trams.

* Draco is quite the opposite situation of Higgs'. He is a part of Quidditch Team (aka team) and he's good at it, but he isn't part of Team with big "T". Draco likes the others, but he has his own group of friends and he doesn't need another one

* Only person from Quidditch Team Draco doesn't like is Higgs and it's because of the situation with his leaving. And Higgs is even more handsome than him

Jake using his first name is a rarity. ‘Rooster’ is familiar territory. A teasing ‘Bradshaw’ is not too uncommon either. Hell, sometimes that menace of a man will even drawl out the full ‘Lt. Bradley Bradshaw’ when he’s going for maximum asshattery. But just ‘Bradley’? That’s—that’s new. Bradley exhales shakily. “I’m asking this from the bottom of my heart and as politely as I possibly can right now: please fuck off.” “Are you—” Jake pauses. There’s a sharp inhale. “Dude, are you going into heat?”

Another moment of awkward silence follows. Jake shuffles a bit more, pursing his lips and looking thoughtful. “Hey, how about you come with me to my family’s vacation home for a few days?” he then says, the suggestion rushing out in a sudden burst of words. “There’s plenty of room, and we could hang out or—” He cuts himself off, giving a one-shouldered nonchalant shrug. “You know.” “Uh-huh, sure.” Bradley makes sure his voice could not possibly drip any more sarcasm. “So we’re going to, what, sit by the fireplace holding hands and sing kumbaya?” Jake rolls his eyes at the remark, then mutters, “You don’t have to be a dick about it.” Bradley stares at him, blinking in disbelief. “Wait, you were being serious?” Jake shrugs again. “I mean, you got someplace better to be?”
