terence is nice but judgy lol, he definitely picks and choses his friends and is wary of anyone else. very close knit friend group that are more like family to him. if he needs help he will most likely go to adrian (ofc) anyone else is a bit of a stretch tbh. his more of a ride or die kind of guy! if adrian asked him for help he would do anything for him genuinely.

adrian is nice and helpful to everyone (as prefects are) he does more for others than he does for himself its a bit of a problem! he can have a conversation with anyone about anything and maintain that connection. he gives alot more than he takes (people would help him if he ever asked for it). his trusted.

miles is friends with everyone but friends with no one. he floats around based on his interests and needs which change bi weekly because he gets bored easily!! but he also has so many passions he just has friends for everything!! he doesnt have anyone when it truely comes down to it though. no one knows his true self deep down and he never expresses his feelings.

graham finds it hard to make friends only because he looks really intimidating and doesnt care about much. but people who get to know him see that his unintentionally funny and absorbs everything his told. he will help you and act like he didnt or its not a big deal (he sort of wants some validation but would never admit that). he probably doesnt give the best advice but it definitely is straight forward.

Cassius is friends with you based on class and whether you will benefit him. he wont waste time on anyone who doesnt share the same values as him or his family (which means his friends with alot of purebloods). most of his friends are the children of his parents friends as they’ve grown up together. if you need his help he would probably do it if it made him look good infront of the professors or something along those lines.

Adrian Pucey regularly writes letters to his parents ever since his first week at Hogwarts to the last one. Once a week, on Sunday morning he sends them a letter about his week and his parents respond on Sunday evening with their week recap and comments to Adrian's letter

He has this ritual around it. Every evening Adrian sits down to write what happened that day like what would he tell his parents after coming back from school. It's nothing much usually, more like "today Miles has a performance with the theatre club but I have an essay due tomorrow. Priorities. I'll see Flitwick in detention" or "manticore bit my finger, I hate herbiology" or "during the training, Perry smacked Warrington with a bludger. I'm pretty sure it was on purpose". Then on Sunday morning he sends it off to his parents, filled with random thoughts.

It's the closest thing to the diary he has.

His parents respond in a similar manner, talking about baking cookies or Higgs coming over for a dinner or a particularly boring case at work. And with comments to Adrian's letter. "Yeah, priorities, there are many essays ahead of you but not Miles play. Send photos", "it surely had a reason to bite you" and "what did Cassie do to deserve that" (he was being Cassius, that's what)

And yeah, that's it, just Adrian being parents' boy

surprizingly for me(i thought i got over my hp stage a lot of years ago) i recently started a 'lily's boy' and now the only person i think about is cassius, i reached a 64'th chapter and cryes my eyes out i love him so much

Harry could see it, right there, and as soon as he started to fly to it, so did Draco.

Who was, unfortunately, much closer.

Seeing Draco zoom for the snitch Harry threw all caution to the wind and shouted across the quidditch field before he even realised he was talking.

“YOUR ARSE LOOKS AMAZING WHEN YOU BEND OVER YOUR BROOM LIKE THAT MALFOY!”

Silence falls over the entire pitch, and the game stalls.

The bulgers fly out out bounds, with both beater teams too fucuseed on ‘wtf just happened’.

The quaffle drops from Katie’s hands, and Ron nearly faints.

Pucey does faint, Warrington casts a floating charm on the prone chaser.

Draco whips around and stares dumbfounded at Harry, because wtf.

Harry Potter coming on to him in the middle of a match?

Was he dead?

Dropped to his death in the game?

He realises when he collides with Crabbe and Goyle that no, he was not dreaming.

But it’s Goyles words that actually bring him back to reality.

“He’s playing with you Malfoy! Get your shit together and get the snitch before him!”

Draco straightens out and stares at Potter, now much closer to the snitch than Draco.

He decides if Potter can play that game, so can he.

He locks eyes onto Harry and winks, mouths ‘game on.’

And responds.

“MY ARSE ALWAYS LOOKS AMAZING POTTER, YOU STARE AT IT ENOUGH!”

Ron joins Pucey, and Warrington casts another floating charm on the Gryffindor keeper.

Harry’s hand closes around the snitch as he slips from his broom in shock.

Warrington casts his third floating charm and decides he’s done enough good deeds for the next decade.

The game ends, and Gryffindor wins by 10 points.

Later, Ron and Pucey wake in the hospital wing.

Pucey looks at the ginger and asks if that really happened, still too shocked to care about houses, Ron gapes at him and mutters, ‘oh mate, it got worse.’

It’s also Ron and Pucey, having been discharged from the hospital wing, who are the first two too witness Malfoy and Potter snogging in the shadow of the grand staircase.

Warrington, having finished extra lessons with McGonagall, is the third, and ends up casting two cushioning charms, before walking back to his common room, ignoring the Golden boy and the Silver snake, and the two prone bodies on the floor.

Someone else can deal with that.

I can't help but share a little snippet from a Cassius x Hermione oneshot that I'm working on and hope to put out at some point in December. You may know, but Cassius is one of my favorite little side characters in Marcus x Hermione fics and I am excited to try to give him is own story, even if it will be short.

Cassius couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at that, wondering just what sort of sordid details she was hiding. He pursed his lips. “It’s okay, you have a type,” he said, shrugging his broad shoulders, delighting at the way her eyes seemed to graze his body, following the lines down to his strong forearms. “Quidditch players.”

“What?” she practically sputtered.

“Well, there’s Krum and McLaggen, if I’ve heard correctly,” he said, using his fingers to count them off. “And your on-again off-again situation with Weasley. And now Marcus.”

Hermione and Marcus shared a look between one another, wide-eyed and concerned, before they both burst out laughing. “Me and her?” Marcus asked, once they’d regained their composure. “Not bloody likely.”

She scrunched her nose in agreement. “Yeah, no offense, Marcus, but pass,” she said.

Relief flooded Cassius when he realized that he wasn’t going to have to stop his pursuit because his friend was already after her. 

“So maybe I got that last one wrong, but you can’t deny that the others have all played Quidditch,” he said, staring at her again. “Not that I can blame you. The physique alone is enough in their favor, but when you start to factor in the strategy and the determination, well —”

“Surely you aren’t talking about Quidditch,” Hermione said, rolling her eyes. “No, I do not find the strategy of Quidditch to be alluring, thank you very much.”

He wanted to argue with her then, to prove to her that there was actually a lot of rather complicated strategy when it came to the world’s most popular sport, no matter how much she derided it.

“You know, Cassius played Quidditch, too,” Marcus said mischievously, shooting Cassius a look and he knew then that his friend had clocked him for what he was trying to do. “He was a Chaser when I was Captain.” “Yes, I remember that,” Hermione said with a smile that had Cassius’s heart fluttering away in his chest. Was it really possible that she remembered him playing Quidditch? “Ron seemed to think that your size seemed to be the determining factor for your spot on the team, rather than your skill.”

Her respect for wizarding culture, her comprehensive and even old-fashioned education, and the speed with which she learned new spells were enough to promote her from a Muggleborn to something more.

There were exceptions, but these exceptions inexplicably ended up in Poppy's care in the Hospital Wing. And she always had an alibi.

It only took a year for her to catch Lucius' attention and replace Astoria Greengrass in his marriage plans for his son.

To sum up, Severus Snape was afraid of this school year. He was prepared for the arrival of Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter but never, even in his wildest dreams, had he prepared for them both to end up in his care.

Harry met the three Slytherins at a club, found transfer students and found Voldemort's son, his cousin, at the club too. Harry also got a tattoo , black family motto"toujours pur". Also was in truce talks with Voldemort. Told him to free the tattoo artist if he was serious about the truce.

careers for my slytherin boys

Adrian Pucey: i absolutely think he would make it into the professional quidditch league, most likely scouted during school. i reckon he would have signed a contact with his team to start after he graduated. if he wasnt i see him as a sport teacher- maybe for hogwarts or even muggle schooling. his a good leader, really nice and i personally think he’d be super cute working with kids… (totally not biased)

Terence Higgs: controversial but… i think he has a secret passion for drawing and is darn good at it too. he likes drawing comics- stories. he would definitely have the magical ideas for a childrens storybook and get published (it would do well of course). he deserves a quiet calm life. another option is the medical field. his smart and quick thinking… notices the small details.

Graham Montague: curse breaker. terrible partner to do missions with and is two seconds away from accidentally getting you killed but he is the person that gets the job done. he hadnt cared about his schooling until he realised what he wanted to do… after that he picked up his slack! his parents didn’t agree with such career but grahams not one to care about their expectations

Miles Bletchley: He worked his way into the ministry and finally got to the Department for the Regulation and Control of magical creatures. his aim there is to provide appropriate and better treatment towards those with Lycanthropy. theres a-lot of good change he wants to make happen even if it takes its time.

Cassius Warrington: Followed his father into the political scene- he could be an adviser even campaign manager… if not he would still be at the ministry. he has always had connections so he could probably wiggle his way into anywhere.

Sneak Peak From “The King of Snakes”

“Do you think Flint dragged us out here just so he could mess with Wood?” Adrian whispered in Cassius’ ear as they stood and watched the Gryffindor and Slytherin Quidditch captains bicker over who had the right to the pitch. 

Cassius smirked.  It was true though, Wood and Flint had a very bizarre soulmate relationship that seemed to thrive on competition. In fact, the pair had even agreed not to bond until after Hogwarts as to not interfere with their Quidditch rivalry. At least, they were both that intense Cassius mused.

“Some people do seem to enjoy antagonising their soulmates,” he said after a moment, shooting Adrian a knowing look. “Maybe you and Flint could exchange tips.” 

I was telling my husband about this scene (we were discussing Oliver Wood) and I decided that I needed to share it with all of you, even if the chapter version of King of Snakes is nowhere near ready to start posting.

Music headcanon

Ever wondered what type of music does the Slytherin Quidditch Team like? No? Well I did

Terence Higgs

He loves music. He has a Muggle gramophone (one with that funky tube) and lots of vinyls and one whole wall of his room is covered in posters.

Terry loves Elvis Presley and bands from British Wave. Gramophone always plays in his room no matter what he's doing.

He can also play the bass and learnt how to play piano when he was little but could use some refreshment of that skill.

Marcus Flint

Marcus doesn't really listen to music by himself. He doesn't like wizard-music like The Weird Sisters or Heartthrob and well, in Flint Manor or Hogwarts he can't really own a muggle device.

He mostly listens to music at Higgs so he listens to the same type of music Terence does. Marcus likes The Who the most. And often they would jump around and bop their heads passionately and scream the lyrics from memory.

Marcus used to scream "I hope I die before I get old" part from My Generation louder than the rest. Now he skips it.

Cassius Warrington

He lifes for the music. Cassie listens to punk rock and more noisy type of rock and metal.

But what he likes most are random just-starting small bands. He hates mainstream and did actually stop listening to some bands after they got popular. He says they lost their charm but really he just likes unpopular niche bands.

During the holidays Cassius often goes out to clubs with live music to find new bands.

And of course he can play the drums.

Peregrine Derrick

Perry's favourite band is Green Day. Fav songs are Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? And Panic Song.

And here's the issue, I can clearly see what he would listen to other than Green Day but is all after 90s...

Let's ignore that for a moment

He would also really like Franz Ferdinand. And he knows lyrics to Dear Maria Count Me In and Check yes Juliet by heart.

Also, he vows he hates spanish music but then he gets drunk and not only sings songs like Livin la Vida loca but also knows the whole lyrics.

Lucian Bole

Luke likes more chill music. He likes Frank Sinatra and other jazz artists. He also really enjoys instrumentals. He, compared to the rest of the boys, likes music that calms you down, not gives you energy (or a way to spend your energy).

He hates John Lennon.

And one again, time issue, but he would love The Postal Service.

If he could learn how to play any instrument he would choose a saxophone.

Adrian Pucey

He loves ABBA. Also, because of ABBA he got engaged in Eurovision song contest and watches it every year. His favourite song is Lay all your love on me but he knows and loves them all. He also really likes Michael Jackson.

Ade's music taste is two opposites and nothing in between because other than ABBA and Michael Jackson he likes black gangsta rap from 90s

He sings/raps while taking a shower. Yes, in shared showers in Hogwarts.

Graham Montague

Montague likes his music aggressive and noisy. He listens mostly to metal and screamo. He liked Neil Perry (I mean the screamo band) but then Miles told him the name origin, you know, Death Poets Society's Neil Perry and it hit too close to the home and since then Graham is kinda uncomfortable because he thinks about it while listening to their music.

What he looks out for in music is the ability to use up his energy and rage. If he you know, was a teen now and used spotify, his playlist name would be just like "Rage room music".

Miles Bletchley

He actually likes wizard bands and may (or may not) have hots for Lorcan d'Eath from Heartthrob. It's kind of embarrassing really.

Miles also loves Madonna and Dolly Parton (who doesn't).

Also, he loves musicals and songs from them. He tried so hard to convince the theatre club to perform something but sadly no one else wanted to sing.

Miles adores The Rocky Horror Picture Show, rewatches it every year and knows all the lines.
