If you're still AMA, what are three things you have learned or experienced that you would recommend/advise to others?
(If an answer is like "if its not hurting anyone, its not an issue" or something similar, what are 4 things you have learned or experienced?)
Idk share your wisdom o high and wise one
Oooh.
I do subscribe to "if it's not hurting anyone it's not an issue" so four things I have learned or experienced:
1. That heavy eyelids sensation can get very annoying if I'm not expecting it, because it almost always makes me sleepy and I don't want to sleep. I have learned to balance it with caffeine and amino acids and B vitamins.
2. You're going to cough. You're going to hack. It's called harshing for a reason. I keep throat sprays and lozenges on hand, and always a bottle of water, sometimes with flavored powder. My roommate taught me how to thump my sides and do a "ki-yah" exhale.
3. Sometimes sativa will act like indica and vice versa. Example: I assumed Tropicana Cherry would be euphoric and mentally tingly considering its parents, but it's more smoothing, relaxing, flowing.
4. I am trying to catalog how cannabis acts on cerebral palsy because I doubt there's enough research yet. I'm learning that cannabis seems to reconnect some nerve connections to a degree. If I am high enough, I experience a split body right down the middle. My palsied left side feels completely different from my right.

Random ROR headcanons
Reggie Jacobs:
-I don’t care that she’s canonically a man. She’s a butch to me. And she kisses girls.
-She’s semi nonverbal, preferring to either be silent or make growling/grunting sounds. But in random situations she’ll casually start talking until she doesn’t feel like it anymore.
-According to her MU card, she has a low IQ (30 to be exact), which makes me wonder how she got into ROR. Maybe Johnny was impressed by her wild nature and let her in and is slightly intimidated by her so he’s avoiding confrontation. Thats just a theory.
-Now here comes the personal headcanons.
-Due to her lack of emotional control, lack of communication, and poor school performance in her childhood, her parents tried to get her help (more so because they didn’t want to be known as the family with an unstable kid), but the adults in her life. Basically it didn’t work. And Reggie hated how everyone in her school was either scared of her or hated her.
-So eventually she stopped trying. She decided to become the bully everyone thought she was. Because what’s the point in trying to prove you’re not a bad person when everyone has already decided you’re hopeless?
-She thinks she’s better like this. In control. Free. And she’s pretty much stopped caring about what everybody else thinks.
-Can, will, and has beat a bitch up.
-Arm wrestling champ at parties.
-Eats her food in one bite, plate and everything.
-Will go apeshit if she hears someone mocking her intelligence. It’s a sore spot for her.
-Has, on multiple occasions, gotten too excited at parties/events and ripped her shirt clean off.
-Her tail is sensitive.
Chip Goff:
-Seafood liker. He’ll eat that shit raw.
-Quarterback in the school football team.
-Yes, he smokes weed sometimes.
-Every single morning he lumbers down the stairs, yawning and stretching his arms, wearing nothing BUT his worn out boxers to make himself some cereal, mumbling a sleepy “Mornin’.” To his frat brothers, unaware that they’re all a bunch of fags.
-Probably the only mostly normal member.
-He can breathe fire, but he doesn’t show it off like some other fire-breathers. Sometimes he’ll use it to discreetly cook some snacks.
-He’s pan with no preference at all. A casual guy most of the time.
Chet Alexander:
-Swagless T boy time. (Somebody tell him to wash his binder)
-He has a problem with scratching at his legs, scarring them, picking at them.
-Ironically despite that, he still gets anxious when he has to do his T shot.
-(Human) He’s tried taping his chest a few times.
-(Human) He has ectrodactyly in his right hand, making it look like a crab claw.
-(Human) He wears the eye patch to cover his facial palsy.
-Johnny tried to fix his acne but it just keeps coming back, so he gave up.
-Autistic and gay. Probably has other illnesses too.
-The bed wetting thing is from stress. He’s learned to just take the teasing and insults.
-Getting hit by Johnny isn’t anything new to him. He thinks he deserves it for annoying him, or stepping out of line, or for running his mouth again… Just trying to justify Johnny in his head. Of course he has a breakdown in his room later but hey, he’ll wake up the next morning and forget about it.
-Severely bullied in school as a kid. Definitely the cause of him being so dependent on ROR and specifically Johnny. He knows he’s nobody without ROR. It’s all he has. Johnny is his HERO. He saved him from his pointless life, gave him a purpose, made him someone important. He owes him everything.
-And he was ignored by his parents.
-In ROR, Johnny picks and chooses who hears about what. Ironically enough, Chet is the one who gets to know the least.
-Chet’s room is surprisingly void of personality… It’s just a bunch of ROR stuff.
-He’s aware how pathetic he is, deep down, and that he’s a joke among his peers. He just pushes those thoughts away for most of the day.
That’s all for now. Bye

Yesterday evening I got my flu and Covid shots, because I have a bunch of work travel coming up and want to be protected. And last year I did the same thing and it hit me like a Mack truck at 4 am with high fever, chills, and gnarly body aches.
And I was not at all looking forward to that.
So I downed some Advil and went to bed, and I did wake up at 4 am but it’s was just body aches and I had my Advil dose prepped at my bedside table and then I fell back asleep.
So when I woke up and was achy and a little sleepy I was like wow! I escaped!
Flash forward to 10:30-11 am and honestly maybe it was just my Advil wearing off but the achiness went to a very uncomfortable level, and I couldn’t get comfort enough to lay or even snooze. So I grabbed my heating pad for my back and then succumbed like a Victorian child.
I didn’t take my temp but I was shaking on the couch, with body aches and the Snapchats I sent my sister were a jump scare of paleness. I was so uncomfortable and my hands went cold and my fingers were tingling like when they were recovering from my cyclers palsy, and I just didn’t know what to do with myself.
I had to force myself up to heat up some soup and bread, and I took more advil. And just waited for it to pass as I watched Bob’s burgers.
Around 2 pm I must have turned a corner because I finally finally started to sweat and get hot, and the color came back to my lips. And while I’m bummed that my PTO day is gonna be less productive than I planned, woof that would have been miserable to be at work when that all happened.
I just woke up from the nap I was finally able to take so I’m gonna take it easy (which will also mean trying to attempt to be productive a little lol). And I’m starting to feel more like myself.
Here was trixie last night laying in my head back when I was hyping myself up for what I thought was gonna be a miserable night
#my face#claireified#lol I don’t know how to tag this for vaccine reactions#like this is how I always react to the Covid shot#every time it’s been like this#but each time it’s sort of still like but maybe this time will be different#like I’ve had Covid twice now#but alas hahahaha

I have brain damage too. (Stroke in 2018, that counts right? Also im not old, just unlucky ig) and I've been dealing with dystonia and spasticity in my right side, do you have any way of coping with movement disorders when you've tried literally everything and nothings helped?
omg hiii yes that absolutely counts!! we are pretty sure my issue is vascular as well although not as severe as a stroke, it’s basically a series of mini or partial strokes (“incomplete infarctions”). so major solidarity!!
could you clarify what you mean by coping – like physically adapting to symptoms, or emotionally dealing with the fact that nothing has worked? honestly i wish i had more advice for you but i am not doing super well at either so far 😅
as far as physically, my pcp gave me a muscle relaxer (tizanidine) that like, doesn’t stop my dystonia & involuntary movements but does make it less painful / less likely to get muscle cramps, and honestly it’s a plus that it makes me so sleepy because often my movement stuff makes it really difficult to sleep, so it can knock me out when i get desperate. that might already be on the list of stuff you’ve tried though so i’m sorry if that’s unhelpful!
emotionally like, i am super lucky because my gf & roommate are really anti-ableist & supportive so they help me with a lot, but it’s still just. really overwhelming especially when there isn’t much representation in disability spaces especially among young people.
while in practice i’ve found it more beneficial to refrain from separating my body from my “self”, i’ve kinda been shoehorning my experiences into media narratives of loss of bodily control in other ways, especially demonic possession because the stereotypical representation of that really resembles the types of involuntary movements i have. it’s a mixed bag & i definitely have complicated feelings about it lol.
i’m also really fortunate to have a couple friends with cerebral palsy & we’ve related a lot to each other’s experiences – there’s probably even more of an overlap with yours because my dystonia is usually, like, “between” more flailing-type involuntary movements rather than consistent on its own & i don’t experience much if any spasticity. but being able to joke about being afraid of breaking plates or spasming when you’re trying to have sex has been a huge source of comfort for me.
if people would be interested i’d be happy to make a super informal discord just to have a place to be like “wow this fucking sucks”? full disclosure i am super not cut out for like intensive Official Moderation shit more like just, this is a group chat & i just happen to be the one who made it, we’ve mutually agreed to be respectful, etc. & regardless, as always my dms + inbox are super open & i’m happy to share my discord if you wanna chat.
i wish i had more coping mechanisms to offer that aren’t just “loud music, sex jokes, & projecting onto sam winchester” lmfao but that’s where i’m at right now, tbh it’s just really comforting to hear from people dealing with the same shit even if there isn’t much we can do about it. again i’d love to talk more if you want & i’m super wishing you the best 💓💓

my words: bright, shadow, sparkle, hum, and smirk
this is from a bunch of different wips i had in dusty folders, but i kinda wanna go back to some of them now shdasdj lmk if anyone's interested<3
bright:
He frowns, still a little sleepy, but he’s sure he has never seen this man- who looks at him like he’s been caught, big, bright blue eyes wide and full of something- and Eddie doesn’t know this person sitting by his bedside, but somehow, he’s not… scared. It doesn’t feel like he should be.
shadow(s):
There are fairy lights strung up all over the backyard, covering everything in a mix of gold and shadows. From where he’s sitting, Eddie can see Hen and her wife, Karen, dancing to their own beat, hands clasped together and eyes fixed on one another.
hum:
“i wasn’t completely alone,” carter hums, but says nothing. shannon takes a deep breath. “i have a son. i was taking care of him, christopher. he’s six, and he’s got cerebral palsy.” her voice shakes “when eddie enlisted he just… left us. left me to take care of a boy with special needs, left me with his overbearing parents, and i…”
smirk:
It burns down his throat, sweet and hot, and he closes his eyes, holding it in for a few seconds. Eddie breathes out, tipping his head back, and the smoke coming out of his mouth curls up in wisps, brushing lightly against his skin before disappearing. It doesn’t take long for the first effects to hit, and with half-lidded eyes and a smirk, he passes the joint back.
and that's about it! couldn't find for sparkle :( anyway, tagging @prettyboybuckley @honestlydarkprincess @rogerzsteven and uhh @swiftiediaz no pressure tho<3

Sunday
oh dear!! I’ve just lost what I have taken the last half hour to write! I want to go to sleep as we have a very early start tomorrow, so I will have to be brief and do it in odd points. Sorry!!
Breakfast will be photographed tomorrow … biggest spread I have ever seen.
We all turned up on time for the bus to leave for our city tour.
One person 20 minutes late …. the guide for the day!!
When he got on the bus and started talking, I assumed he had some sort of cerebral palsy. He apologised for being late (a public transport problem) and apologised for wearing sunglasses in the bus (so much outdoor tour guiding). After an agonising hour or so, listening to his v e r y. s l o w. t a l k I n g and repeating himself, we were outside at the ski jump (about that in a minute) when he was suddenly interrupted full sentence, led away and replaced by a fabulous woman who is a retired teacher. We soon learned my cerebral palsy person was “high”! Silly fella!!
The Holmenkollbakken (I knew this blog would be harder to write than going across the Nullarbor!!) ski jump, now the most modern in the world, was initially built in 1892 and regularly renovated and modernised since. It hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics and is a really popular place for kamakaze Norwegians to spend a winter’s day.
Next stop was the Vigeland Sculpture Park. This beautiful and enormous park is full of granite sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. (A few photos) They are all naked, basically depicting the circle of life and he is one of the few (or only) sculptors who sculpture old people. He is not known internationally. He had a contract with the government to keep his work in Norway and they would provide him with a home, a studio and an income. He shared a mistress with Edward Munch (The Scream) even though he said he and Edward didn’t really have anything to do with each other. Look him up… it’s a very interesting life. When Norway was occupied by the Nazis, he was terrified his sculptures would be stolen. At this stage they were at his studio but he already had plans for them to be displayed at the park but he died before it was completed and it was hastened as the feeling was the Nazis wouldn’t steal what was on public display. It is the most beautiful park.
Because I’m getting sleepy, I’m going to dot point other things I learned today:
Norway appears to be full of helpful, polite people, silent vehicles, wonderful architecture, forward thinking Governments, masses of green spaces and a general care for each other.
he didn’t name any of his statues.
In one street (named after one of the King’s daughters), trees have been planted from all over the world (some needing special underground heating to enable them to grow) so that anyone coming to Oslo will see familiar trees.
The photo,of the 2 chairs is part of a group of 35(?) representing the 35 Jewish people who returned from Poland out of the 700 or so Jews who were taken from Norway to Nazi concentration Camps. They face the fjord from where they left Norway by shop and have no seats to remind people there is no rest or respite for the hundreds who were lost.
Once a hear, the carillon plays John Lennon’s Give Peace a Chance. It appears that the Norwegian government has a much longer-term view of improving the lot of all citizens.
Very few children attend private school.
If you are over 67 and you have a long way to walk to catch public transport, you will be picked up!
The State appears to have the ability to plan for the future.
Generally:
It is estimated that all buses will be electric by 2025.
A Teslar - apparently - can be bought for $AUS 55,000!
37% of the land is covered by trees.
The drinking water is the best in Northern Europe.
To help first home buyers, the State gives the purchaser a loan to get started.
Norway and Denmark were part of the Napoleonic Wars (who knew THAT???!!)
When Napoleon lost, Denmark’s punishment was to lose Norway, which was given to Sweden ( I don’t know who made those decisions!!)
Norway was part of Sweden for a long time (too long for me to remember!!) I think they broke away and received independence in 1905.
I’m sorry it is all in dot points, but I just didn’t have the energy to start again after I’d lost the first effort!!
We had a delicious dinner at the quay, taking with us a woman who is also on the tour and who asked me if she could join us. We met her last night at dinner. I think she’d had a few wines for afternoon tea, but I got talking to her when she told me she used to work for what is now Water NSW. When I say I got talking, she actually got talking! Tonight she was very subdued and seemed a little sad. So I’m glad we said “Yes! Come along!”
Tomorrow we leave early and have two train trips to a village called Flam, famous for its fjords. There may not be internet. The following day we go by ferry, bus and train to Bergen, where will be board the shop for our six day cruise. Hope it’s not like the Magestic Princess!!! as yet, not many trees have turned autumn red, but we are enjoying all the green space. Oslo has been described as a park, with a city in it! Pretty true. Good night!

Dentist
"Dentistry is more of an art than a science, more subjective than objective, resulting in wide variations in clinical judgements and interventions between dental practitioners." Robert L. Caplin, British Dental Journal volume 230, pages337–343 (2021)
Ref: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41415-021-2726-4
During my dentist last visit to Japan, his colleague treated a Cerebral Palsy patient with tooth issues by carefully examining their body & providing PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) & massage treatment.
PNF could be beneficial for other patients with postural imbalance issues that may be connected to dental problems. It's recommended to seek a doctor who can provide a full diagnosis & a holistic approach rather than just treating the symptoms.
Prosthodontist issue: TMD (Temporomandibular disoders / Bruxism) TMJ teeth, muscles, joint
The jaw joint never rest, working 24 hours.
Temporary Solution: custom splint, adjustment needed every now and then. Some exercise and massage needed. However, it’s incurable disease, long life maintenance with hope it’s getting better w the given tool.
In relation to Sleep disorder & dental patient : Snoring & OSA Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Sleeping Cycle: -Non REM sleep 80% -Quiet sleep -Light sleep -REM deep sleep
Help to prevent snoring: -No alcohol or sleeping pills before bed -Maintain Ideal body weight -Sleep in side ways
Key factor of OSA: In relation with breathing muscle & upper airway, abnormal anatomy airway, obesity, pathophysiology.
Sleep related Breathing disorders
Test using PSG polysomnography
OSA complication: -Cardiovascular: Coronary, heart, stroke, sudden death, hypertension. -Exhausted & Sleepiness during daytime: accident, emotional, depression, low memory & coordination, headache, impotency -Gherlin hormon (hunger hormone) -Complication:
Pregnancy complication, eye (glaucoma), bladder peeing at night, diabetes, metabolism syndrome, fatty liver, chronic obstructive, pulmonary, & gerd.
Solution: Oral Medication, Operation, Device (CPAP/ MAD/ DSA/ OA/ MAS/ MRA)
I’m grateful for the gift of the day : a Jap toothbrush from the kind & passionate half Japanese orthodontist who carefully examined my issues without asking for money since he couldn't fix them. He honestly admitted that it's not his specialty, but he still discussed the matters with me & helped me find solutions alongside other professional dentists. I truly appreciate his sincerity, guidance, & patience. Looking forward for some improvement in 3 months. Btw, Japanese toothbrushes are the best!
Over the past decade, I have encountered numerous dentists specializing in various fields. However, the most valuable lessons came from a young friend who had just graduated from UI at the time, specialized in Prosthodontics. Surprisingly, she turned out to be the youngest & brightest dentist I had ever met. She tirelessly guided me & referred me to other specialists, patiently supporting me throughout the journey. I’m truly grateful for her TLC, she is a real unsung hero.
The 3 dentists I mentioned share a common trait: they genuinely listen to their patients & collaborate with them to find solutions, which builds trust through a holistic approach by diagnosing the root cause rather than just treating symptoms. They’re truly passionate about their work & prioritize patient well-being over monetary gains. They also welcome my endless Q without feeling insecure, leading to great discussions where we learn from each other. Such person is truly a gem. 💎 Further reading: Book by Prof drg. Laura Susanti Himawan, Sp.Pros(K)., FICD (only in Bahasa Indonesia) 1. Memahami Gejala, Penyebab, Serta Kiat Mencegah & Mengatasi Gangguan Sendi Rahang TMD (Temporomandibular Disorders) 2. Peran dokter gigi atasi gangguan Ngorok & OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) Additional Note:
It has been a frustrating experience to have certain pain and unknown diagnose of the core problems. Currently I am still trying the available method that has been suggested by the 3 dentists above. I've tried so many dentist in the past apart from the dentist I mentioned above, it was a waste of time and money, but one thing for sure, the tooth trauma and damaged can't be undone. In summary, there is no such perfect doctor, doctor has their own speciality and way to approach your problems. But I do believe on holistic approach doctor who can help you to see the big picture (full diagnose, not just a symptoms) and pivoting to the solution. To find a suitable doctor for your tailor made case is almost similar to find a suitor. Find what's best available in your area and budgeting accordingly. For instance, Overseas dentist is not up to my budget due to the long term maintenance. Hope you all healthy and well.

Insomnia — Interesting Findings That You Might Not Know About!
Insomnia is a widely known sleeping disorder (https://imperfect.co.in/sleep-disorders/) that can be recognized with signs such as having trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or not getting a good quality sleep. It occurs even when you have the right time and place to sleep. It can affect your daily activities and your brain’s memory and concentration ability.
Short-term insomnia can be caused by stress or any other health disorder it lasts for a few nights or weeks, if it exceeds for more than three days a week and for more than three months the chances are that you are dealing with chronic insomnia. Chronic insomnia directly relates to high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
13 Interesting Findings About Insomnia:
Chronic insomnia is highly common and affects approximately 30% of the population. At some point in their lifetime, around one-third of adults experience short-term occasional insomnia. (American Psychiatric Association, Donskoy & Loghmanee, 2018)
At least 1 in 4 women report having symptoms of insomnia compared to 1 in 5 men. It is said that insomnia is more prevalent in women during both the onset of menses and menopause. Hormones usually affect the sleep pattern of women. (Johnson et al., 2006, Insomnia)
Pregnancy is another situation in women that may result in short-term insomnia. Nearly 4 in 5 pregnant women experience some type of insomnia symptoms during pregnancy. (American Pregnancy Association, 2021)
Insomnia can be hereditary! It was found that teens whose parents have insomnia were more likely to report insomnia, daytime sleepiness, and pill use. (Roth T, Roehrs T, Pies R., 2007)
Rats introduced to a stressful environment exhibit characteristics similar to those associated with insomnia in humans. Rats that are given caffeine also model insomnia. However, it is difficult to find a natural animal model of insomnia but it is difficult to tell. (Zhang L, Zhao ZX., 2007)
People suffering from chronic illnesses are at significant risk of having insomnia and it goes vice versa, it is estimated, approximately 75%–90% of people with insomnia have an increased risk for multiple medical disorders, such as conditions of hypoxemia and dyspnea, gastroesophageal reflux disease, pain conditions. (Katz DA, 1998)
It is also noted that up to 73% of children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) said that they have sleep issues related to going to and maintaining sleep (Hiscock H., et al., 2015)
A very recent review reported that in children with neurodevelopmental disorders, there is an increased incidence of bedtime resistance, anxiety, difficulty settling down to sleep, delayed sleep onset, sleep maintenance issues, and overall restless sleep, this includes children suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Down Syndrome, and other conditions early in childhood. (Rigney G., et al., 2018)
According to a 2010 review by the University of Rochester, people who persistently get less sleep are more likely to be in traffic accidents, have higher rates of missed work days, are less satisfied with their jobs, and are more likely to get easily irritated.
The data collected from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine shows that insomnia costs: 11.3 days of work for the average worker every year or $2,280 in lost productivity every year.
Obesity and an increased risk of prehypertension and hypertension in children are also associated with insomnia putting them at risk for long-term cardiovascular diseases. (Fatima Y., Doi S.A., Mamun A.A., 2015) (Kuciene R., Dulskiene V., 2014)
Teens who are suffering from insomnia are also more likely to develop depression, and anxiety, and possibly consider suicide. (Siomos K.E., et al., 2010)
Patients with insomnia have high scores on the measures of both alcohol severity and depression severity than patients without insomnia. (Brower et al., 2001)
Given the far-reaching impact of insomnia and other sleep disturbances, it’s best to seek treatment sooner rather than later!

These are all wonderful - when I actually have internal energy and motivation to move*.
Stretching hurts, but I can't really explain the pain without circling back to "imagine having spasticity" and it still confuses people. It's a sense of exhausting heaviness, like my insides are full of weighted beads, like my muscles literally don't want to work or stretch, it's like trying to get a child out of bed when they are so sleepy they're whining.
*You know those ADHD posts that talk about needing motivation that have been circulating? My dopamine levels are depleted by not just ADHD but cerebral palsy and fibromyalgia. I spent my 20s and 30s constantly moving, walking fast, carrying things, because I could, because the palsy was seen as mild and most people, so I told myself to keep pushing. I think the last year or two hit my body like a truck labeled "you overdid it congratulations" and I might need to find a new outside physical therapist weekly just for external motivation.
Most people have muscles that want to move a lot. That sounds like bliss.

Hey darlin, this is less an ask and more a prompt.
You know we've chatted about how Ryan and Oliver interact with Gavin/Eddie and Buck interacting with Christopher? Just thought if you haven't before that sharing a post about the little details we get super excited about might be cool as I presume it's less obvious to others.
How they keep him safe and feeling supported but he also has freedom and doesn't appear to feel babied by them (as opposed to the patronising Diaz parent/grandparents).
It's not always an easy balance to get right but Oliver and Ryan manage it whilst acting and everything else they're doing.
Buddie fandom: OMG 🥺 Buck and Eddie are so good with Chris 🥺
You + I: Do you know why, tho? Do you SEE?
*Christopher Diaz voice* Let’s do this!
Our first look at Christopher (Gavin) comes in 2x02 when Eddie is walking him to school. Eddie (Ryan) has a hand close to his upper back, but is not guiding or gripping him. (Keep in mind this was probably the first scene they filmed together.)
2x03 included a piggyback ride:
2x04 showed us the Diaz boys arriving at Isabel’s house. Ryan walks down the steps after knocking on the door and keeps his eyes aimed at the ground, not on Gavin as gets closer to the front of the house.
Then this happened:
Click here to watch Ryan offer Gavin his hand as he approaches the hospital bed.
Skipping to 2x10, we had Ryan carrying Gavin after talking to Santa Claus, possibly to give his legs a break.
2x18 was Eddie’s firefighter ceremony, which has Buck/Oliver making the biggest heart eyes at Christopher/Gavin and an adorable hug between on-screen father and son. (Not included: Ryan eating cake off of Gavin’s fork.)
3x01: it’s the little things
At the pier, Oliver holds Gavin’s crutches as they collect their pics from the booth - Gavin has one hand on the front of the booth to brace himself. (I don’t have a link for this :/)
As Gavin stands up on a bench, Oliver maintains a grip on the back of his shirt in case he starts to lose his balance.
3x02:
I dare you to click this and not smile.
How many people watch this scene and notice Oliver’s thumb lightly rubbing Gavin’s head?
3x03 aka wait for me to come home had Ryan looking down at Gavin as they walk through the door, a hug between Oliver and Gavin, and then you realize Gavin walked to the living room himself.
Bonus: Ryan starts walking away before Gavin is fully situated on the coffee table. (This one has always stuck with me. 🥰)
3x04 was all about the bedtime routine
3x05? *bangs desk* strong! legs! I don’t care if it was in the script! 🙏🏻
3x11:
If you can’t guess what gifset from 3x12 you’re about to see… you don’t know me at all 😭 // watch the full clip here
3x18 gave us something to smile about 😍😍😍
+ Ryan letting loose around his tv son
COVID reduced the amount of Gavin we were blessed with in season four, but there were sleepy cuddles in 4x01 // Gavin answering the door in 4x13 for “Carla” (which I don’t have a gif of! 😐) // 4x13 also showed Gavin keeping himself upright with a hand on the bureau
(The point of this post was to illustrate how cerebral palsy does not prevent Gavin from being as independent as possible, as well as shine a light on how dedicated Ryan and Oliver are to making him feel safe and secure.)
I apologize for having to link so many moments! The gif limit continues to hurt me. 😩
#jace!!! i did it!!! 🎊🍾🥂#tv: 911#tv: 9-1-1#christopher diaz#eddie diaz#evan buckley#gavin mchugh#ryan guzman#oliver stark
