Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love ❤
aaah mack, thank you for sending me this!! im a bit embarrassed to answer because im not as prolific as i wish i was, and my confidence in my stories tends to diminish with time since im never satisfied and always think i could have done better (imposter syndrome my old friend), but here are what i consider my 5 favorites in no particular order:
how fools fall in love 126k | ginhiji — somehow this became a classic in the ginhiji fandom despite the time it took me to finish and my terribly irregular updates. i reread it recently and it made me cherish not only the characters but my fandom friends so much! always a sure read when in the mood for slowburn and angst.
ceremonials 29k | ginhiji — my post-canon ginhiji fic has some of the best character writing i've ever done imo. it's also a breather for me because i get to write ginchan and toshi being properly together, leaning on each other and healing.
when silver turned white 32k | ginhiji — one of my favorites because of its structure and plot. it's not too long but i managed to cram all my angsty headcanons and fit them into the plot of bfy movie. i also LOVED to write ginchan and toshi in other timelines/ages, which i plan to do again soon!
beware the desert 15k | skysolo — occasionally i go and reread this one and can't believe i wrote it because it hits every beat, it contains every single thing i love about skysolo and depicts so clearly the han solo i have in my head i could cry. honestly, im so glad i took the time (a year if i remember correctly) to write this down because it's made specifically for me and i don't think anyone else could have done it.
give heartache a name 25k | sterek — im so specific about stiles' characterization in fics that i had to write my own because after the movie came out this year the dormant sterek part of my brain came alive after a decade and i needed to put down my love for both these idiots. i think i've reread this story at least 50 times because i wanted it to be canon so much. i know i sound like a loser but i get so giddy about older stiles and derek. as the kids say nowadays, i am cringe but i am free.
im also nuts about my ginhiji zombie au which i fear i may never finish because im always thinking about expanding the plot instead of tying it all up and finish so i can start taking my og writing seriously. oh well.
tysm for tagging me <33

hey im looking for a star wars, specifically skysolo/hanluke, roleplay buddy. i'm currently 20 years old looking for an 18+ partner to write with. i prefer to write multiple paragraphs and i can be either han or luke easily. it will be up to you to choose. for the genre, i love plot heavy scenarios, action, angst, and slow burn. i'm okay with NSFW, but don't expect it to take a big portion of the roleplay.
i have a vague, post OG-trilogy plot in mind that we can elaborate on together if you don't mind hearing me out. dm me if you're interested, ill get back to you as soon as possible. btw, i prefer using discord servers for organization's sake. thanks~☆

Din/Luke/Han, two of them have sex to get revenge on an ex (and then…you know)
This got really long really fast lol. Mostly skysolo (angst and smut) and dinhan (mostly smut, some fluff under it all).
M or E, depending on your bar. I'd probably go with E.
[prompt list]
~
When Luke had dumped him to pursue a Jedi lifestyle, Han promised he "wouldn't get in the way."
It did occur to him, though, as he sauntered up to Mando, that this might count as getting in the way. But it was only three weeks after their break up, and Han was in need of some rebound and revenge sex. It's not like he was the Jedi here.
They'd met before, back in Luke's school, when Luke had introduced Han as "his friend" (Han's first real warning of what was to come). Mando introduced himself as the only parent to the only student. So when Han spotted the shiny fucker in a Mos Eisley dive bar, he'd figured that was the perfect balm for his Luke-shaped wounds.
Sex with Mando was remarkably gentle, despite all the cold metal pressing into him.
Han had his hands pressed against the side of Mando's ship. Mando's hands were holding onto his hips, keeping him bent over, with one of his feet keeping Han's legs spread as far as they would go with his pants down around his shins.
He tried not to think about the fact that Mando's dick was about the same length as Luke's, or that the two kept a remarkably similar pace when inside him. Instead, he kept his focus on all the differences, like Mando's reserved, quiet nature, his heavier weight, the grip on Han's hips. The way he didn't take off his gloves to reach around to offer Han a handy half way through. Luke always either took the glove off or used his left hand. Din kept both on. It felt a little strange, definitely dry for his taste, but sufficient.
Mando came before Han, thrusting hard into him as it happened. Hard enough that he pushed Han forward, smashing the crown of his head into the side of the ship.
"Remarkable ship," Han said, rubbing his head as he stood up.
Mando pressed himself up against Han's back. "Yeah, it is." There was a second of quiet as Mando slipped himself out of Han, a hand still stroking his hard cock. "I could use your help with something," Mando whispered to him.
"Yeah? So could I."
Mando pressed Han back up against this ship, standing him upright this time. Mando slid a hand around to his backside, working his fingers into his crack.
"Could we lose the gloves?" Han asked.
Mando grunted, apparently agreeing to it. He slipped two naked fingers into Han's hole as he explained that there was some bounty hiding out on this rock.
"You'd be a great help," Din said. "You know a lot of people. And your ship is bigger than mine."
"Yeah it is," Han smirked.
"So you'll help?" It was hard for Han to think through the logistics of switching over to the bounty hunter's side with Din rubbing so sweetly against his prostate.
"Was you inviting yourself to the use of my ship a promise that this will happen again?"
Din didn't answer. Instead, he focused all his energy on bringing Han to a loud, messy orgasm all over the Starfighter's polished chrome.
~
After three weeks on the Dune Sea, a few days in space, and quick jump to Nevarro to deliver the bounty, Han and Din (that was his name, Din. Han said it as much as possible just to prove he could) were a little more than friends, a little less than partners.
"I want to go see my son," Din said, as they started to take off from Nevarro.
"Want me to drop you back at Mos Eisley for the Starfighter?" Han offered, powering up the Falcon.
"Why don't you come with me?" Din suggested. Han had been over the details of his years-long relationship and utterly one-sided breakup more than once during their trek through the sand.
"I don't think that's the best idea," Han said.
"You really don't want to see him again?" Din asked.
"Of course I do, I love him. He doesn't want to see me. That was the whole thing. The Jedi thing," Han said.
"I still see Grogu," Din said.
"Yeah, well, he's your kid."
"He's your Jedi."
Han started to fly the ship, hoping it would put an end to the conversation. "He's not my anything," he said, typing in the coordinates for Yavin 4.
~
Luke was waiting for them when the ship landed. Han had watched him run out of his little hut, a frown on his face, when he noticed the Falcon in the skyline.
"You go out on your own," Han said.
Din decided not to fight about it. Through the windshield, Han watched Luke's confusion grow as Din stepped out. Din gestured to the ship, and Han guessed he was giving Luke a rundown of what had happened the last month or so. Luke nodded and pointed inside his home. He watched Din head towards his son, before relaxing back in his captains chair, definitely not fighting tears.
"First my sister, now the father of my only student? Maybe I should be glad my mom is dead, otherwise you might fuck her too."
Han sat up. What ever pain was in his chest hardened into anger. They hadn't fought much during the break up. Mostly, they had cried and pleaded. He had cried and pleaded. And now Luke was on his ship picking fights?
"The father of your only student is hardly the same as your mother," Han said, standing up to face Luke. "And you didn't know she was your sister, how was I supposed to know?!"
Luke's arms were crossed over his black robes, his cheeks pink with rage.
"It crosses a line! Especially showing up here with him!"
"He asked me to drop him off!" Han stepped closer to him, waving his arms to punctuate his points.
"I told you --"
"To stay away! That's why I. Stayed. On. My. Ship!"
"It's not far enough!"
"Well, I'm not the one with the attachment issues!"
Luke's body was ridged. Han heard some controls on the ship beep and switch on without anyone touching them. Luke must have noticed them too, because he tried to release some of the tension in his body. When he talked next, his voice was lower.
"I'm doing my best, Han."
"So what? I can't see you, and I can't see other people?" Han asked.
"You can't see him. I can't stand even the idea of you being around here with a new man. Having to face that every month, every few weeks?! It'll kill me!" His voice was getting louder again, but nothing was switching on or floating.
"Listen mister," Han poked Luke's chest, "you broke up with me."
"I know!" He yelled. For the first time in the fight, their eyes really met. Luke grabbed Han's hands and squeezed them as he stared right through Han's soul. He watched Luke search his mind of the right words. I'm sorry, it was a mistake, I regret it, I want you back. Any of those would be the right ones. But none left Luke's mouth.
Han wanted to start shouting again, drop Luke's hands and kick him off the ship. But they had never ended a fight without kissing and making up before. Han didn't want to end that tradition now.
He leaned down and kissed Luke hard, wrapping his arms around his waist to keep Luke up right as they bent back. It took no time for Luke to react, kissing back and tangling his hands in Han's hair. Han started to walk them back in the direction of the bedroom.
"Tell me to stop," Han said.
"Please don't," Luke said.
~
They were half-dressed, tangled together on Han's bed, rubbing against each other like teenagers, when Din walked in.
"I left Grogu with the droid. I think he said it was lunch -- oh."
"Din," Han said without thinking as he sat up.
"Din?" Luke asked as he tried to get his robes back into place.
"Sorry," Han said to Din, who just shrugged. He wasn't sure if the apology was about the name or about humping his ex. Either way, Din didn't seem too upset.
"I'm glad to see you two aren't angry," Din said.
"Well, he was mad at me, but I'm an expert at deescalating situations," Han said. Luke rolled his eyes.
"I'm sorry Mando ... Din? This probably isn't what you expect of a Jedi Master," Luke said. His face was pink with shame, even if his dick was still visibly stiff in his tight pants.
"Han and I have talked a lot in the last few weeks," Din said. Luke's face got even. pinker at the implied this is exactly what I expected. But Din wan't teasing or mocking. Just saying, as he usually was.
There was a long silence between all of them.
"You two should continue," Din said. "I'll get lunch together for the kid."
"Din --" Han said. He didn't know if this was a one-time thing with Luke or what, but he wasn't about to let Din get away from him either.
"Han," Din said. Han could hear the smile on his voice, "I'll be back in half an hour."
"We'll see if Luke would be up to you joining us," Han said. Luke made a stunned choking noise in the back of his throat.
"I'm right here," he said.
"Well, what do you think about the idea?" Han said.
Luke licked his lips in contemplation. "I think Din should go feed his kid and come back in half an hour," he said.
Din nodded and stepped out of the room. Han turned back to Luke.
"You know," he started undressing Luke again, this time starting with his pants, "if you can watch me fuck another man without getting too jealous or angry, maybe it means you can love me without attachments."
He slipped Luke's pants and briefs down to his thighs, fondling his half hard cock until it was stiff again.
"That could work," Luke said, looking down at Han, anticipation in his eyes.
"It better, because, baby, I don't think I can let you go again."

You’re just jealous [Jake x Amber]
Jake Seresin x Amber Kazansky fic
Top Gun Maverick AU, TGM x OC, Hangman x OC & etc
Continuing of the last fics
Warning: Fluff, Angst, two full blown total idiots in love who want to just kiss each other and a few misspelled words haha. Sorry if it’s kinda long tho <3
Jake was always a simple man with a plan and sometimes his plans get two huge, even sometimes worsens the ego he hate to admit he has. The man doesn’t even realize when it happens, especially when it involves a lucky lady he’s attractive to. When he feels that toothy grin creeping up on his face, he just know he’s got it bad for you. So imagine what happens when his plans for a simple return to Top Gun and become possibly a frontline teammate gets throw off course due to the young blonde woman who he met two days ago at the bar becomes an interesting target to keep an eye for while his time here? It’s difficult!
Especially with him knowing she hasn’t just caught his eye but plenty of his so called teammates! More importantly his friend Coyote and Rooster. Hangman wouldn’t say he’s jealous but it clear that he wanted her to notice him just as much as Amber is noticing them. Currently he’s sitting nears a table against the wall glancing up at Amber laughing to something Rooster said, touching each other’s arms, being all sweet and charming with each other. At the same time another young woman came up to the pair, who he recognized as Mitchell walking past them catching Rooster’s eye as he run to catch up with her, not before hugging Amber goodbye. Jake even noted the sigh that escaped her lips once Rooster left her alone in the hallway.
Hangman eyes widen and muttered, “Oh so now he has two woman under his radar?! Just pick one, god damn it! Hell next thing you know, he will be after me next!” Jake kept mumbling about this thoughts as more came into focus, hating how much he was getting fumed over this. It was simple, he wanted one girl, and that was Skysolo, he just needed to impressed but still couldn’t fight off this feeling of this Bradshaw jealousy. So he decided he was gonna use it against him with the newfound information he got with Coyote earlier. He didn’t even noticed the said one woman came into his view until she cleared her voice, “Uhhh, hello?”
She saw the way Hangman snapped out of gaze from looking out into the hallway up to her eyes with a soft smile that laced his lips. God, she can stare at those lips, most importantly his eyes for days on end, she wouldn’t lie when she said she had a crush on the pilot. Her father and uncle always said, ‘Dating a pilot is a rough business, sweetheart. They are tough, get jealous especially with their ego getting in the way and they don’t always stay in one place. Yet they are charming, gentle and sweet.’ So hell yeah, Amber Nic was all in to risk her heart for Hangman. Jake took a moment to respond, “Hey darlin’…h-how are you doing?”
“I’m fine. Just collecting notes for today’s session. You arrived early.” She smiled taking a seat next to him.
“Yeah I decided why not come early and get a good seat for the show. Where would you be seat, my dear?”
She blushed slightly at the nickname, leaning into his shoulder, “.. huh? Maybe I’ll be seated right up front to notice all of you.”
“You can sit next to me.” He replies, gently slipping his hand onto of her giving it a gentle squeeze.
“And Coyote?”
“He will be seated on my left side.”
“Hmmmmm I’ll think about it.”
They noticed how alone they were at the moment. Jake decided to take a chance and ask her out before anyone else got the chance to do. He cleared his throat, “Hey i know we just met..a few days ago and your the big boss’s daughter. B-but I’ll um, I’ll like to take you out something. Dinner and a walk by the beach?”
She smiled rose filled cheeks and nodded loving the idea, “I’ll love that, sweetheart. Maybe if your lucky, tomorrow night? I’ll be free.”
“And if today goes well..can we get a teased for tomorrow night?”
“Let’s see how it goes first, Hangman.”
“Alright, Miss Skysolo.”
And just like that, class started with Maverick teaching and Amber taking notes to send later to Iceman and the rest of the chiefs, keeping an eye on the aviators skills. As training went back and forth in and out of the classroom. The sessions was long and tedious but worth it, hell Amber even got to fly in one of the planes for betterment of her reports. That was until the team broke off, refusing to work as a unit and learn the main lesson from the beginning of this mission. Even worse, Jake dropped a bombshell that fired her up as Maverick yelled to focus and knock it off. Jake turned to Bradley smirking wanting paybacks for the looks and ways he’s been acting during training, especially with the woman in charge.
He decided now was a moment to rile him up, “This is comeback son! Anyone in this room can see itself, a man like Maverick files with ease and confidence but this mission is nothing he ever seen before.”
Rooster scoffed, “What’s supposed to mean? I know I’m flying my best and doing whatever need to done around.”
“Yeah even playing teacher’s pet. I’ve seen the strong looks you give to Skysolo and Maverick here! High chance it won’t go anywhere playing favorites on the field.”
“You got a problem Hangman, take it outside! I am no teachers pet and they aren’t treating me any different from you.”
He scoffed letting out a drawl, “Cute. But let’s be real, it’s no surprise Maverick used to fly with Rooster’s old man. And how his old man was friends with Amber’s old man, so of course you want something out of it.”
Maverick tried cutting him off telling him to knock it off and Amber stayed silent fuming, turning not piercing ice cold but like a fiery hit that would keep you solo in the skies without any air to breathe. “Hangman, Rooster that’s enough!” She shouted loudly but without a second to separate the conversation both men argument grew and punches were ready to be thrown out having everyone up front, even her, trying to separated both men. It went as far as a solid elbow in the chest being thrown from Amber herself onto both men who stumbled backwards. No one expected it as Maverick dismissed everyone. Bradley running off finding a familiar face in the hallways right before seeing Amber who glared at him.
She huffed, “Seriously?!”
“You heard what he said?! We all did!” He growled.
“He was just being a jerk about it.”
“Did you tell him or anyone about that?”
“Of course not! I kept that secret under lock and key, we all did. Bradley..Rooster i love you and your my friend, i would never say anything that hurt you. You know that…”
He sighed rubbing his face, “Yeah..your right. Sorry. It’s just, Hangman doesn’t change and never does. His ego is huge…”
“..most pilot’s egos are hugely impacted and impulsive. You go calm down and I’ll handle this..”
Just then, Jenny Mitchell ran up to the pair yelling gently, “I heard what happened from down the hall! The shouting was..something else. You two alright?” She looked at them with concern written over her face squeezing Rooster’s hand and smiles at Skysolo. They nodded.
Rooster walked away with Jenny holding his hand gently onto a space far away from the classroom to talk, Amber on the other hand stormed off finding Hangman sitting outside the building on a bench, head on his hand bitting his lip. The heat was in the air. She sat down next to him, “You. Are. In. Big. Trouble. Lieutenant.”
He looked up at her, leaning back bitting his lips and running a hand though his hair. “I screwed up. But i know I’m right.”
“Oh god..”
“Rooster isn’t cut out for this mission! I am! Not him! He’s playing stupidly the teachers pet card and has history with Maverick and it is clear as day he can’t focus up there for shit. He has this head up in the clouds and fear is gonna come bitting him in the ass if he doesn’t focus.”
“That’s bullshit.”
“Bullshit?! You know I’m right, Amber! Come on!”
“Of course you are playing that card! Maverick and Rooster got history, Jake. I can’t explain it and tell you, even if I tried. Yes you got a point about him freaking out up there but there is something else…what is it?”
“I don’t know what your talking about.”
“Yes, you do. Something else is eating you up when it comes to Rooster, what is it?!” She stood saying the last part.
He looked away taking a bite out of his cheek and looked up at her, “It’s nothing. I’m just pissed off that..that’s all!”
“Just say it! What are you? Jealous?!”
“Ha! Jealous of what?! Who?!”
“ROOSTER! BRADSHAW! Are you jealous of him?”
It was his turn to stand up huffing, “I. Am. Not. Jealous! Especially not of freaking Bradshaw! ”
She scoffed half smiling and sighed shaking her head, “You’re just jealous of him! When you clearly shouldn’t be when you are just as good! Even better in the skies than he is!”
“How do you know that?! You don’t even know half it!”
“Cause I read your files, stupid! You fly just as good, matter a fact just as great to navigate a plane like your instructor or even my father, you could be legendary if you wanted to, but you are being held back by jealousy that you should not even be feeling!”
The tension was rising and feelings were beating each other roughly. Jake was completely taken back by her words and the potential he sees in her, knowing she might not be able to say that in there because of her role to this mission. Damn, she cares and so does he. He stood there looking down at her like a deer in headlights in awe of her expression and sighed, still angry but now less.
He saw the fire in her eyes and he could’ve said that he found seriously hot but he was half scared of a slap to the face. “Damn..anything else?” He merely said getting closer, his chest puffing staring down at her lips.
“Are you jealous of him..?” She asked getting even closer, staring up into his glossy eyes.
“A bit. Yeah I am. It’s all because of you.”
“M-me?”
“Yes, you! The way Rooster looks at you..it makes me jealous, okay. Because i look at you the same way…i-i can’t believe I’m saying this…I want you, damn it!
Amber bite the inside of her cheek, “..I-I um..ugh damn it Hangman. You just made it worse.”
His eyes widened, “Why?! How did I make it worse?”
“Because I want you too, god damn it! I wanted you the first day i saw you!”
“So why didn’t you say anything me?!”
“Because i thought you didn’t want me back or even cared to think of me that way!”
“Well shit…you were the first woman to make me excited and interested in seeing someone at the same time, because now i did want you! I think I have feeling for you!..I can’t believe I just said that out loud..”
It’s like the world gone silent for her, for both of them. They’re ears were hot and heavy, both chests huffing high, the pair stood even closer to each other barley a inch away from holding each other’s hand. She stepped back and thought for moment, ‘Hangman got feelings for me?!’
It wasn’t what she was expecting from him, at all. Hell he wasn’t expecting to say that out loud himself. But she responded anyway, “If you want me, Jake. Really want me as much i as I do. Then prove it. But don’t go storming in that room fighting against him or your teammates…cause…because you already had me…I said yes to that date, remember!”
“Yeah i do, of course I remember that and I’m glad I finally did ask you..but i just had to prove to Bradshaw and to myself back there…I’m so stupid..oh god..” He said, hating to admit him looking down at her.
“You already have and you didn’t have to prove it anyone expect yourself that what we have so far, is worth my time..”
“...damn..now i see why you were chosen for the job, you see a lot in people..darlin’ how do i prove it? Because you are worth my time..”
“I-i..just…be the charming, sweet, fumbling guy that made me smile from day one…”
He broke into a slow smile hearing that, “You think I’m charming?”
“Oh my god.” She said rolling her eyes, half smiling then walked away onto the streets to her car.
Hangman yelled from his spot like a complete idiot with a sigh, “Hey! A-Hold on darlin’ we can talk!”
“I’m still mad at you for what you did today, but at the same time i swear I could kiss you right now...” She shouted hallway down the street, with him following behind her.
“Please do, kiss me..!” He now half smiled saying that, deep down still feeling bad, “..only if and when it feels right…”
“No, I mean I don’t care how bad I want you, after what happened I don’t know what to think…I still care, I really do!”
“You ain’t the only one who’s upset here, Amber! So am i, but I can’t stand here and not say that I’m dying to kiss you..and I’m sorry for what I did..”
“I-i know you are, whatever it is that is going on between us or anything will have to wait. Got it?” She yelled turning back at him pointing around, “How we feel right now, it doesn’t make up for that stunt.”
“You’re right, yeah our first kiss or whatever will have to wait! But i will wait until the storm leaves..but you should know i am very sorry..I’m sorry okay, i was a total jerk! I screwed up because i was trying to impress you..What do you want me to do about it?” He yelled back admitting to his second mistake.
“Um..just change your behavior for tomorrow please, that’s all I’m asking for now, it will be a new day and we will see, if we make it to that date tomorrow…”
“Tomorrow is a new day..I will make it up to you! I promise…”
“..we will see about that. Bye, Jake.”
She heading down the street as her anger melted away hearing all of this. Amber rolled her eyes, figuring out at that moment how much a handful her favorite Lieutenant really was, he has become something else over the days, you can only start hoping what tomorrow must hold. Jake ran off to tell Javy everything he could about what happened and wondering how his southern romantic, so called now charming side can fix this. He knew he screwed up big time and made a few mistakes but there are always options for certain better things to happen.
Arriving to her car, she sighed looking at the dashboard, looking out at the horizon checking her phone to see missed calls and text messages from her father and uncle knowing she will need to respond tonight. Maverick needed to find a way to turn this shit around sooner or later, make this team into an actual one. She texted him as the two of them came up with a plan worthy of bringing this crew of individuals into one clear unit.
Amber went home to speak with her father who was waiting for her in his office. Iceman stayed in his office until she came home, moments like this he didn’t talk too much due to being tired. But he still made the effort to do so.
“There you are dad…” She said and before she could say another line she read the screen on the computer. It read ‘Maverick told me all about it. Especially the fight. We can turn this around with a few team activities.’
She smiled, “How does a day on the beach for everyone sound?”
This time he response using his strong solid voice, “Sounds perfect.”
Thank you for reading! Hope you enjoy the story so far <3 Did you like it? Tell me what did you think about. ;)

I Won’t Say I’m in Love (SkySolo imagine)
Well while I was doing a Star Wars marathon, this fic just happened to pop into my mind and refused to let go so here we are. An imagine full of angst and fluff. Godspeed to your emotions, my nerds.
Word Count: 3996
Warnings: angst, cursing, fluff so sweet your teeth will rot, Han is a jealous bastard and Lando knows it too, Leia and Chewie just want Han to quit pining over Luke and admit his feelings
Han Solo does not catch feelings, no matter how many times Chewie would insist otherwise. And he has not caught feelings for some blue eyed, blond Jedi wise ass. But if that was the truth, then why wouldn’t his heart stop fluttering anytime he saw Luke Skywalker?
Going back for him when he was in trouble at the Death Star was his first mistake. If Han truly wanted to distance himself and not catch feelings for this kid from Tatooine, he should have followed through and not saved his ass from Darth Vader. But Han Solo was a weak, weak man for a pretty smile.
Han’s second mistake was showing the kid how to properly play in snow. Luke had grown up on Tatooine with sand covering every inch of the planet, even in places that it didn’t belong. So when they arrived on Hoth, Han could see the wonder in his blue eyes at the snowy terrain. His heart clenched at Luke’s small smile then he muttered, “Never cared much for this kinda cold.”
Leia stepped beside the young Jedi and glanced over the blond as she said, “It reminds me of the mountains back home. I haven’t seen snow in what feels like forever.”
“I’ve never seen it before. I-I always wanted to. And now… it’s just so white out here.” Luke murmured, his eyes wide with his delight. Han gave a chuckle and wrapped his arm around his shoulders before he stated, “Better stay wrapped up, kid. It’s too cold out here for those rags you call robes.”
Luke swatted him away weakly then replied, “Shut up, they’re not rags! They’re comfortable!” The taller man gave a laugh and ruffled the Jedi’s hair as he chimed, “You’ll freeze if you don’t wear an actual coat, junior. Come on, let’s go find out where they’re putting us.” Luke grinned up at the pilot then tangled his arm with Leia’s before pulling her inside. Chewie approached Han from behind then rumbled, “You’re a sap, Han Solo.”
The pilot turned to the Wookiee with a frown then insisted, “I am not. Shut up, fuzzball and let’s get inside before we freeze.” The two hurried to catch up with Luke and Leia then Han snatched the young Jedi by his waist, beginning to ruffle the blond’s hair.
“Han, come on! I need to go find out where I’m sleeping!” Luke insisted with a laugh. Leia raised her eyebrows at the interaction then Han suggested, “Why don’t you stay in the Falcon with me? It’ll have better heating and you won’t have to share a room with someone you don’t know.”
Chewie glanced down at his pilot then rumbled, “Oh but you’re not a sap. You’re such a fool in love.” The captain twisted to face the Wookiee and snapped, “Shut it, fuzzball. I am not.” The Princess snickered and patted him on the shoulder as she murmured, “You so are.” And with that, she ducked into the control center to greet one of the Generals with a grin on her face. Luke turned to face Han and Chewie then asked, “What are you talking about? What did Chewie call you? I’m so confused.”
The Wookiee gave a laugh then walked back to the Falcon, leaving the two alone. Han stared at the young Jedi then grabbed Luke by his arm, chiming, “C’mon kid, let’s go get you a coat, gloves, and a hat then I teach you how to have some serious fun in snow, okay, kid?”
Luke nodded with a bright smile then Han wrapped an arm around his shoulder, pulling him towards the rest of the fleets in search of something warmer to put over his robes. Thankfully the Resistance had thought ahead when they chose Hoth as their new place to reside and plenty of the other pilots had different sized coats and hats for the men to choose from.
The two Rebels slid into their warmer clothing then began making their way towards the entrance of the base to go outside when they ran into Leia, who was as bundled up as her comrades were. Luke flashed his familiar smile at the Princess then he chirped, “We’re going to play in the snow, do you want to come outside with us?”
She began to protest then Han wrapped an arm around the Jedi’s shoulders as he replied, “Let’s be honest here, kid, the Princess is much too elegant to come play with us rebels. She could never get her royalness dirty.” Leia scoffed at his goading then shoved him towards the exit door, chiming, “I’m not doing this for you, I’m doing this for Luke, since he’s never been able to play in the snow. Now let’s go, laser brain.”
The three ended up making a snowman then Leia threw a snowball at Han’s head, causing the three to erupt into a full on snowball war with Luke dodging most of what the two threw at him. The Jedi began to race towards the base entrance for cover then the door opened, revealing Chewbacca. Just as the Wookiee stepped out, Han launched a snowball in Luke’s direction, only for Chewie to be hit. The three Rebels paused as he glanced down where the snow had stuck to his fur and looked up towards his captain with a roar. Han gave a laugh then chimed, “The kid and Princess needed to have a bit of fun, fuzzball! Don’t be a grump!”
Han Solo’s third mistake as he tried to prevent himself from falling in love with Luke Skywalker? Going out in below freezing temperatures to drag the damn rebel back to their base on Hoth. But that didn’t go quite as planned. Han had finally found the kid lying face first in the snow and fear struck through his body, harder and deeper than the cold of Hoth could ever try and reach. The pilot scrambled off the TaunTaun he was riding and rushed forward towards the Jedi, turning Luke on his back.
“Kid? Kid, hey, come on. Luke! Come on, you gotta wake up!” Solo urged, tapping the blond on the cheek to wake him from the cold and exhaustion. Those familiar blue eyes finally opened then Luke squinted up at the pilot, asking, “Han? You came out for me?” The captain sighed with relief, thankful that his friend wasn’t dead then scooped the younger man’s lightsaber to slice open his now dead TaunTaun before he gutted the lizard and stuffed Luke inside to keep him warm while he worked to put up a shelter for the two of them to stay in overnight.
“Ahh, kid, what the hell have you done?” Han asked after he finished the shelter. The blond gave a nonsensical answer then those blue eyes fluttered open as he mumbled, “Han… Han, ‘m sorry.” Solo cupped his cheeks then pressed his forehead to Luke’s as he stated, “Yeah, it’s okay, kid, just get warm, okay?” He wrapped one of the two blankets that he had in his bag tighter around Skywalker’s shoulders then tucked a stray piece of hair behind Luke’s ear with a small sigh. Sometimes Han really wondered if this kid was worth more trouble than he caused.
The kid began to tremble, either with the pain that he was struggling with or the freezing temperatures of Hoth, both was a possibility then the captain tugged the younger man into his side before pulling the larger blanket over them both. There was no way that the Rebels would be looking for them tonight so they might as well get comfortable. Luke’s head fell onto Han’s chest then the blond mumbled, “Didn’t mean to bring you out into this mess, Han. I’m sorry.”
“Kid, just get some sleep and quit apologizing. I’m a man, I make my own decisions, you got that? Now get some rest, you need it.” Han chastised with a roll of his eyes. Luke nodded in understanding then his eyes fluttered shut, falling into his exhaustion.
While Han watched as Luke floated in the bacta tank to help recover from his injuries caused by the hypothermia that he endured and the brutal attack of the wampa, the pieces began to fall into place for the pilot and Han couldn’t help but wonder if Chewie was actually right: was he catching feelings for this bright eyed Jedi?
It was stupid, he wasn’t some youngling doing something new and trying to decide whether he liked it or not: these were actual emotions that people his age already had a handle on. So why was it that he couldn’t come to terms with the fact that he was in love with Luke Skywalker?
“Han?” Luke called out, scuffling after the pilot as he left the recovery room. Solo glanced over his shoulder then turned when he noticed that Skywalker was fidgeting with his hands. “What’s up, kid?” Blue eyes flickered up to the taller man’s face then he raised up on his tiptoes to kiss the pilot on the cheek before he murmured, “Thank you… that’s two I owe you.” Han stared after the young Jedi as he walked back to his bed then walked to the Falcon, stunned. Luke Skywalker just kissed his cheek. Holy shit.
He entered the ship and slumped beside Chewbacca who asked, “What’s wrong, Han? Is it Skywalker?” Han let his head fall into his hands then groaned, “Chewie, you were right. Fuck, I’m in love with the kid, what the hell am I going to do now?”
“Face your feelings and tell him how you feel like normal humanoids do?”the Wookiee suggested, crossing his arms across his chest. Solo peeked between his fingers then hissed, “No, are you kidding me? That’s the dumbest idea, what if he doesn’t like me back?! Then what, I actually have to leave! If I leave, who’s gonna save his ass from getting killed? Or who’s going to give Leia shit about those braids and her royal pain in the ass status?”
The two stared at one another then Chewie stood as he shook his head before he replied, “Come talk to me when you’re not acting like a cub, Han.” The Wookiee exited the ship and Han stared out the windshield with a sigh. Fuck, he was really going to have to own up to his emotions, wasn’t he? Unfortunately though, they were in the middle of a war and wars take no rest for anyone, no matter how big of a crisis they had found themselves in. The Battle of Hoth took place then Luke went to the Dagobah system to train under some Jedi Master while Han, Leia, Threepio, and Chewie tried to outrun the fucking Imperial Army, who was determined to capture the crew.
“I know how you feel.” Leia stated, claiming the seat beside Han as he piloted the Falcon to their next destination. He flipped auto pilot on then turned to face her as he replied, “I have no idea what the hell you’re talking about, Your Highness.”
“Except that you do. Anyone with eyes and half a brain can see the way that you look at Luke. My only question is when are you going to admit the truth, you stuck up, half witted, scruffy looking nerf herder?” The pilot jerked his head up then he snapped, “Who’s scruffy lookin’?”
“You are, you moron! God, I wish you would just stop being so damn stubborn and just accept the fact that you’re head over heels in love with Luke! Ugh!” She stormed out of the cockpit then Han turned back to his piloting as he muttered, “I’m the one having the crisis but I’m still in the wrong. That makes complete sense.”
Han Solo has seen a lot of shit go wrong in his life but ever since he joined the Rebellion, things just got progressively worse. At one point, Chewie offered up that this is what he gets for not believing in the Force but that just made him more pissed at the galaxy. But it only got worse when he went to Lando. He actually thought he could trust that bastard but Force he was so wrong. Trusting him and where did it get him? Frozen in carbonite.
Leia helped him escape the trap that Jabba the Hutt decided to put him in then rushed out, “Luke is here to save you.”
“Luke is here? Oh Stars, we’re doomed. Wait, why can’t I see?” Han asked, rubbing at his eyes. Leia paused then replied, “It’s probably just temporary, from the hibernation in carbonite. Come on, we’ve gotta go.” But as normal, their original plan didn’t work out. The Princess was taken hostage by the Hutt and Han got tossed down a garbage chute where Chewie was sitting.
The pilot settled against the wall then pressed his head into his hands as he muttered, “I really hope that Luke knows what he’s doing.” A few bounty hunters came into the cell then jerked the two to their feet before dragging them out. He jerked out of the bounty hunter’s hold then bumped into someone else, who grabbed his arms to steady him.
“Kid, is that you?” Han questioned with a raise of his eyebrows. “Han, you’re okay. Force, I thought Jabba had already fed you to whatever he could find on such short notice.” Luke rushed out, cupping the pilot’s forearms. The older man gave a laugh then replied, “Trust me, kid, that makes two of us. Together again, huh?” The young Jedi laughed before he answered, “Wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
“So how we doin’?”the pilot asked as the Gamerorrean shoved him forward. Luke laughed quietly and stated, “Oh the same as always.” Han raised his eyebrows at the reply he got before the pigs jerked them to a stop then he questioned, “That bad, already? Damn, kid, thought you had this covered.”
“I did have it covered… old man.” Han paused at the statement then glanced down in the general direction of Luke’s voice and scoffed, “Did you just call me an old man, junior?” Leia rolled her eyes at the banter then snapped, “Can you two please focus while this slug is plotting our deaths? That’d be great honestly.”
“Glad to see you’re still kicking, Highness. I thought for sure Jabba would’ve thrown you down a chute to become a snack by now.” Han stated casually and she rolled her eyes before stating, “Trust me, I would have preferred becoming rancor food over where and how I’m sitting now.” Jabba gave a few hisses and snaps then Threepio translated for the four prisoners, “He has decreed that you are to be terminated… immediately.”
“Good, I hate long waits.” Han muttered, fidgeting in the Gamerorrean’s hold. The three were hauled off onto a separate ship then drove to the middle of Tatooine, with Jabba the Hutt’s people partying on their own.
“I think my eyesight is getting better. Instead a dark blob, I see a big light blob.” Luke gave a small chuckle then stated, “There’s nothing to see. I used to live here, ya know?” Han turned to stare in the smaller man’s direction then replied, “You’re gonna die here, ya know. Convenient, isn’t it?”
“Well, at least I’m dying in good company. But stick beside Chewie and Lando, I’ve got a plan.” The pilot sighed and muttered, “You’ve had a plan before and look where we are now. About to get fed to whatever the hell this is.”
Thankfully Luke’s new plan had gone as well as it could, with no one on their side dying. They managed to get back to the Falcon then Luke led Leia into her room, eager to help her get dressed and out of the awful bikini that Jabba the Hutt had stuffed her inside while Chewie helped Han gain back the rest of his eyesight. Lando made sure that the compressor was working then walked beside the pilot asking, “How you feelin’, old friend?”
“Like I’ve been run over by a speeder. Hey, I gotta ask: how’d you, Luke, and Leia get together for this plan?” Han asked, turning to face him. Lando gave a nervous laugh then turned to face his friend before he answered, “Well, that depends. Just how much are you in love with that Jedi of yours?” The pilot snapped his head up to narrow his eyes at Calrissian before he snapped, “What the hell does my feelings for Luke have to do with you teaming up with the bratty twins of the galaxy?”
The scoundrel laughed again and replied, “Well let’s just say that I wasn’t helping them without a payment and the kid was nice enough to offer that pretty mouth of his.” Anger churned into a tight knot in his stomach and Han came to a slow stand as he snarled, “You better be fuckin’ with me, Lando.”
Luke and Leia exited her room then the blond furrowed his eyebrows together as Lando answered, “Oh, he was insistent. Said he’d do anything to get you back. So who was I to refuse?” The pilot made a move to snatch his friend up, only for Luke to step behind the two, insisting, “Han, don’t!” Solo scoffed then flared down at the Jedi, snapping, “Oh, you give him a blowjob and now you’ll jump to his defense?!”
“What are you talking about?! Okay, I think we need to talk.” Luke admitted, gripping the front of Han’s shirt before dragging him into the captain’s quarters. The blond slammed the door behind them then shoved the pilot towards the bed before he pinched the bridge of his nose with a groan. Those blue eyes fluttered open and Luke demanded, “Would you care to tell me what was that out there with you and Lando and why the hell you think that I gave him a blowjob?”
“Because you went to that son of a bitch and when he wouldn’t help without a payment, you sucked his dick!” Han exploded, pinning the shorter man to the door. Luke’s eyes widened and he ducked his head with a small laugh, which only pissed Han off more, even though his chest tightened with the cuteness of the motion.
“Why the hell are you laughing?! This isn’t funny to me! I actually thought that-“ Solo cut himself off with a shake of his head. The Jedi sobered then tangled his fingers in the hem of the pilot’s shirt before he tugged gently, murmuring, “Han, what’s going on? You’ve been acting weird and it’s worrying me. Is it something I did? Did I make you uncomfortable, I didn’t mean to!”
“Kid, just stop! It’s nothing you did. Just… you know what, never mind. Just go, get out. Go sit with the Princess.” Han insisted, beginning to back away, only for Luke to tighten his grip on his shirt, tugging him back. The older man frowned when he took notice of Luke’s lips pressed into a stubborn line then the young Jedi mumbled, “I’m not blind, Han. I know how people act when they’re in love. So why are you acting like this if you just see me as some dumb kid?”
The captain stared down at the insistent Skywalker and cupped his jaw as he replied, “Maker, I wish I could see you as just some dumb kid. But shit, junior, ever since I saw you in Mos Eisley, I can’t get you out of my head. Anything you do makes my heart feel like it’s going to fucking launch out of my chest. And I thought I could make it stop, I thought that I could just ignore the way that you made me feel but dammit, you were just so insistent on being my friend.”
Luke’s lips parted then he murmured, “You… had feelings for me?” “Not had, kid… Have. Shit, I’m so fucking in love with you, I’d do anything for you at this point.” Han admitted, staring down at the blond’s mouth. Skywalker stared at the pilot for a few seconds, taking in all of the information that Solo had thrown his way before he asked, “But wait, if you’re in love with me, why’d you act like you were so into Leia?”
He sighed at the question and thought for a moment before he answered, “I tried to distract myself from you, see if I could save you from me.” Luke frowned up at Han and twisted his fingers in Han’s shirt as he snapped, “But you never thought to ask me if I wanted to be saved. Did you ever think that just because you were saving yourself from being rejected that I wasn’t being hurt by it? You were protecting me from something that you thought that I would be ended by in the end but you didn’t even stop to consider the possibility that I wanted what you have to offer me.”
“Wait, why the hell are you mad at me? I was just trying to protect you!” Luke let out a frustrated growl and stomped his foot like a youngling would when they didn’t get their way before he insisted, “Blast it, it’s like this is going in one ear and out the other! Han, you didn’t even consider asking me how I felt about you. You kept shoving me away and acting like I was your little brother but you failed to see the way that I look at you, like you had designed and hung the entire galaxy, like you could do no evil. Like you’re the one person who would hold me at the end of the day and tell me that everything was alright, that just because I’m Vader’s son doesn’t mean that I’ll turn to the dark side. You failed to see that… that you wasn’t the only one who’s in love.”
Han paused at Luke’s admission then he leaned closer as he murmured, “Are you telling me what I think you’re telling me?” The Jedi gave a small laugh and answered, “I’m pretty sure I fell in love with you when we first met at that disgusting bar.” Solo chuckled and shook his head before he pressed his forehead to Luke’s then he murmured, “I’m sorry that I’m an idiot. I should’ve told you.”
Skywalker nodded in agreement and his blue eyes shimmered under the dim light of the captain’s room before he asked, “Would you kiss me now? Then go talk to Lando and say you’re sorry for nearly taking his head off?”
“I’m not apologizing to that son of a bitch but I will kiss you.” Han informed the younger man before he leaned down and pulled Luke into a kiss. The blond practically melted into the tenderness of the kiss then he sighed quietly as the pilot pulled away, murmuring, “We should probably go back out there and figure out what our next move is.”
The Jedi began to nod his agreement then the two twisted towards the door when someone knocked on it. Han narrowed his gaze when he realized that it was Lando on the other side then the man chimed, “You always were the jealous type. Even when we were younger. After Chewie told me that you were head over heels for this Jedi, figured that you’d need a good push from your old buddy. And with that being said, I believe that I deserve a thank you?”
Luke laughed at Lando’s explanation and slid out of Han’s grasp as he asked, “You’ve always been a jealous person? For shame, Han, I figured you’d be the mild tempered and understanding one.”
“Sarcasm is not a good look on you, kid, just saying. Now c’mon, we need to figure out what the Rebellion’s next move is.” Han informed the shorter man as he nudged him out of the captain’s quarters with a roll of his eyes.

6 months and 15 days
Lando can practically feel the daggers from the farm boy’s gaze entering his chest as he embraces his old friend on the platform, but all ugly glares are forgotten once Lando gets a good look at him. Lando looks at him with that same smirk Luke knows all too well. The same smirk Luke has been giving Han for the past year
“What have we here? Welcome. I'm Lando Calrissian. I'm the administrator of this facility. And who might you be?” The all too friendly man steps forward, taking Luke’s hand in his own to softly kiss the back of it. Taken aback by the shift in Lando’s affection, Luke nervously stumbles over his reply.
“Luke Skywalker”
“What a pleasure to have you here Skywalker.” Before Lando can lay on any more charm, Han steps forward and snakes his hand around Luke’s waist. Lando motions towards the doors without another word, and the three of them head inside the building.
However jealous Han was outside, it seems to have all faded by now, Luke thinks as he walks steps behind Lando and Han. the old friends walk on ahead, chatting about everything under the sun.
“How's the gas mine? Is it paying off for you?” Han asks as the three round the corner.
“Oh, not as well as I'd like. We're a small outpost and not very self-sufficient. And I've had supply problems of every kind. I've had labor difficulties…” Lando trails off of his thoughts as he gazes at Han. “What's so funny?”
“You. Listen to you - you sound like a businessman, a responsible leader. Who'd have thought that huh?”
Lando looks Han up and down before choosing his next words. “You know, seeing you sure brings back a few things.”
Luke scoffs at this and decides he can’t take another minute of watching his boyfriend get swept off his feet. He walks up past the two of them, letting his shoulder collide with Han’s as he walks into an unoccupied stateroom, slamming the door behind him and falling back onto the couch. For what feels like an eternity afterward, he’s left alone with his thoughts, and there is nothing he hates more. Every single thought of self-doubt that he’s had since he started dating Han comes rushing to the front of his mind, and it doesn’t take long for the first tear to fall. Luke stays like this, letting these thoughts win for what feels like hours before there’s a soft rapping at the door. He lets it go unanswered for a few seconds until Han finally pokes his head in.
“Hey junior, what has you so worked up?” Han asks as he walks to the couch and slowly crouches down to be at face level with his lover. He runs his hands up Luke’s arms and shoulders, stopping to gently cup his face. Luke allows his eyes to meet those of his partner before collapsing onto Han. Neither of them says anything as Han holds him close while Luke shakes through his sobs. It’s a few minutes before Luke can bring his head out of the crook of Han’s shoulder to grab his hand, and it’s at that moment where Luke knows he needs to be done holding things back.
“I love you. I love you and that’s fucking scary because I never knew what loving someone meant until I met you, and I really hope you love me because there is this sinking feeling in my chest every time I look at you and I can’t get rid of it. It’s been 6 months and 15 days, and I can’t take this feeling much longer. If you don’t love me then just say it, because after this afternoon I don’t think you do and I don’t think you ever could”
Han silently ears his eyes away from a now breathless and shaking Luke. Time stands still for what seems to be years before Han makes his choice. He drops Luke’s hand as he stands and heads for the door. It took Luke 6 months and 15 days for Luke to say it, and it took Han 6 months and 15 days to walk away.

I was dining with my family, and they were discussing some stuff about my uncle who’s a cop that was down in southern Sweden and were taking down some gangs, and how my aunt was worried that he would get hurt and that they had an argument about it.
And I just sat there the whole time grinning like an idiot because that’s one of my favorite fic tropes, and I just realized that fanfiction has destroyed me

Han Solo falls in love and lives to regret it.
Rating: M
Words: 6,100
***
Supported by the salt water and Han’s hands, Luke floated peacefully, relaxing and closing his eyes once he’d realized Han wasn’t going to let him drown. As he held Luke up, the rhymical sounds of the tides changing as familiar to him as his own heartbeat, even if drawn by a different moon, Han realized that he was in too deep with Luke. Not being used to emotional attachments in relationships, one had snuck up on him unaware, and now that he realized, it was far too late.

See The Stars
word count: 2.2k
summary: There was a moment of silence, and he could hear Luke take a few shaky breaths.
“Han?”
“Yeah, Kid?”
“I think I’m falling asleep.”
warnings: mentions of violence, swearing, it gets really sad (oops), didn’t really beta read this so uhhh it could be very bad who knows
read it on ao3 instead
“Hey, Han? You got a moment?”
“Yeah, what’s up kid?” Han asked, smiling as Luke blushed at the nickname.
“I just wanted to see you,” the younger man responded, entering the room fully and flopping onto the bed in the corner of the room. Han got up to sit next to him, a warm feeling flooding his chest as Luke leaned his head down onto his shoulder.
“So,” Han said, looking down at him. “What do you have lined up today?”
Luke furrowed his brows momentarily.
“Not much,” he responded quietly, picking his head up from Han’s shoulder, not quite meeting his eyes. “Just-” he paused, clearing his throat. “-just a supply run. I’ll be gone for a little bit, but I’ll be back. I promise.”
“Alright. I’ve got a few things to do in comms this afternoon, but after that, I’m free--would you want to, I don’t know...take some speeders out to the forest? There’s a full moon tonight, so it won’t be too dark.” Because that totally isn’t a date, Han scolded himself silently. Luke smiled softly, breathing in slowly.
“Yeah...yeah, I’d like that,” he said, finally locking eyes with the smuggler. “Han…”
“Yeah?”
“Don’t...Just…” he paused momentarily, inhaling slowly. “Take it easy, okay?”
“Okay, kid,” Han laughed, clapping him on the shoulder. “You’re acting weird, is everything alright?”
“Yeah.” The Jedi smiled, tracing his eyes over the bend of Han’s nose, the way his eyelashes curled upwards, the gentle shape of his browbone, and how it blended with the soft lids of his eyes. Memorizing every little curve and crevice. “Everything’s okay.”
The two of them stayed like that for a while, just taking each other in. Luke smiled, pressing his lips tightly together. If Han knew better, he’d say he was trying not to cry.
“I should probably get going,” the younger man said quietly. “I’ve got a couple others waiting for me, wouldn’t want to hold them up.”
“Okay,” Han said, smiling. “Be careful, okay?’
Suddenly, the pilot was hugging him, his arms wrapped around his torso, so tight it was as if he’d never let go.
“...Kid?” He whispered, but Luke shook his head vigorously. Han slowly embraced him in return, resting his chin atop the younger man’s head. He could feel Luke’s hands shaking, and concern clouded his mind. “Hey,” he said firmly, leaning back and gently taking the Jedit by the shoulders. “Whatever’s going on, you can tell me when you get back. It’ll be alright. I swear."
Luke nodded, smiling. “Right.”
“Sounds good,” Han said, grinning. He clapped the pilot on the shoulder, standing up and walking to the door with him. Luke turned to go but glanced back at him one more time.
“Don’t do anything stupid while I’m out.”
“You know that I will,” Han smirked, and Luke laughed, nodding.
“Yeah, I do…” he glanced down at the floor, smiling slightly. “Bye, Han.”
“Bye, Kid. See you tonight.”
Luke just smiled, taking Han’s hand briefly before dropping it and retreating down the hallway.
The smuggler glanced down. He could still feel the warmth of Luke’s palm in his. He felt his face flush red and cleared his throat before sitting back down at his desk and fiddling with an old hologram projector to pass the time until his next meeting.
***
Han glanced up from his datapad as the comm unit on his desk buzzed. Flipping it over to reveal the screen, he read the message displayed on its surface.
Communications. Now. Emergency.
It was from one of the technicians he had talked to earlier, Jen. He plucked his jacket off the back of his chair and made his way down the crowded halls to Communications, narrowly dodging a frantic nurse dashing towards medbay. He entered the room and his heart halted in its tracks as he saw Leia and several others clustered around a display.
“What…”
“Han,” Leia murmured, steering him away from the group momentarily. “There’s been...an incident.” He clenched his jaw. “He didn’t tell me,” she continued, closing her eyes momentarily. “That he wasn’t just going on a supply run.”
“ No,” Han said quietly.
“He went to Corellia to look into a lead about a missing pilot,” she sighed, and the smuggler’s hands shook. “There was…a run-in with some stormtroopers.”
“ No,” Han repeated, more a plea than anything else.
“We’ve...we’ve got him on the line, but something’s wrong--he’s not talking much, just-” Han pushed her aside, striding quickly over to the console and snatching a headset off the table. “Han-”
“Kid, can you hear me?”
Silence.
Han’s throat started to constrict.
“Kid, please,” he said, voice straining.
“Hey, Han,” came the muffled response. His voice. Luke’s voice.
“Kid,” Han breathed, relief budding in his chest. “Are you okay?”
“It’s cold here,” Luke responded. Han could hear the quiver in his voice.
“What do you mean it’s cold, it’s the middle of summer th-” Han could see Leia’s head snap up in his peripheral vision, and nearly dropped the headset, thinking back to the brief medical training he’d had when he was younger.
One of the most prevalent symptoms of blood loss is an absence of heat in the extremities.
“Luke, have you been--have you been hit?"
“I think so...it hurts, Han, they had these weird slugthrowers, and I-” he trails off, and Han can hear a clatter as Luke drops the comm unit.
Nonononononono-
“Luke, can you hear me?”
Nothing.
“Kid, please-”
“Han, have you ever noticed how many stars we can see at base? There aren’t many here. I can’t see them.”
“It’s because of the city lights,” the smuggler replied, voice shaking. “Too much light pollution.”
“Oh.” a pause, and then, “I wish I could see the stars right now.”
“You and I can look at them when you get home, okay?”
“Han, I don’t-”
“And the moon,” he continued adamantly, gripping the edge of the table like a lifeline. “It’s full tonight, we...it’ll be so bright. You always liked the full moon.”
“Yeah,” Luke said weakly. “Han, I’m so tired…”
“Luke, please, you can’t go to sleep, don’t-” Han shut his eyes tightly, a tear sliding down the bridge of his nose. “Kid, can you do me a favor?” he asked.
“Yeah.”
“Can you find the moon?”
“It’s to my right,” Luke answered, groaning quietly.
“Ok. You can see it?”
“Yeah…” the younger man said. Han could hear the pain in his voice. Swallowing thickly, he peered through a small nearby window at the round, silvery planetoid casting a pale light on the tops of the trees surrounding the base.
“I’m looking at it too,” he said gently, knowing it wasn’t the same moon, but that didn’t matter right now. “We’re looking at it together.” Luke laughed softly, but it quickly dissolved into a quiet whimper.
“I feel...dizzy.”
“Can you take some deep breaths for me?” the older man asked, a few more tears slipping down his cheeks. He listened as Luke struggled to inhale, drawing several shallow breaths that were no doubt painful.
“...Han?”
“I’m here.”
“That’s good….” Luke sighed, and Han could hear him shift and moan in pain again. His heart seized at the sound. Luke was hurt. And alone, somewhere on Corellia. And there was nothing he could do about it. “You--I...can you keep talking? It’s better when I can hear your voice.”
Taking a deep breath, Han pushed a shaking hand through his hair, wracking his brain for something, anything to say.
“I was thinking about the day we were on Naboo earlier this morning,” he started softly. “You-” He let out a shaky laugh. “-you had never seen so much green. You started running around in that field, and I--I had never seen you so happy. Gods, Kid, you took off sprinting towards that forest…” Han smiled tearfully, his heart warming as he recalled the memory. He closed his eyes as Luke let out a breathy laugh. “I think that’s when I knew that you weren’t--you weren’t like anyone I’d ever met.”
“Han…”
“You just ran and ran and ran, trying to see as much of it as possible. You got mud all over your clothes, and Leia had a fit when we got back, but it was worth it.” he paused, more tears slipping down his cheeks. “It was so worth it.”
“Han,” Luke stammered, his voice tight. “I need to tell you, I-”
“Don’t,” Han interrupted, shutting his eyes tightly. “Just...just tell me when you get back, okay?”
“...Okay.”
“Do you remember that afternoon when we first met? You were so worried about the Falcon,” Han continued, laughing quietly. “You called it junk, but you--you trusted me. To get you off that planet. For some reason. I’ll never know why, but...you trusted me. Thank you for that.”
“You and your stupid vest…” Luke muttered, drawing a small chuckle from Han’s lips.
“You know you like it,” Han joked, smearing tears across his face with his sleeve.
“Yeah, I do….” there was a moment of silence, and he could hear Luke take a few shaky breaths. “Han?”
“Yeah, Kid?”
“I think I’m falling asleep.”
Han’s heart seized in his chest. No, he thought, starting to panic. Not now. Not yet. Please, not yet.
Not like this.
“Kid, I’m gonna need you to stay with me, okay? Stay with me.” Please.
“It’s so dark here, and it’s cold…Han, I’m...I’m scared, I don’t-”
“It’ll be alright,” Han said gently, wishing he could be there, to hold Luke’s hand, hug him, anything. “Everything’s going to be ok. You’re ok...you’re ok.”
Maybe if he said it enough it would be true.
“Oh, look,” Luke murmured. “I can see the stars.”
There was a clatter of the comm unit being dropped, and then silence.
“KID!” Han yelled, frantic. “No, Luke, please, don’t do this…” he slumped against the wall, leaning on it for support. “Stay with me, please…”
Nothing.
He knew , he thought as he stared at the ground through teary eyes. He knew he might not come back. That’s why he came to see me this morning. He knew.
He stood there, trembling, feeling the weight of Leia’s teary eyes on his shoulders.
Stumbling, he dashed out of the room and into the hangar, brushing past friendly waves and casual greetings from pilots and the like.
Han made his way to the Falcon, tripping up the hallway to Luke’s room and freezing in the doorway. Slowly, he entered the space, gently sitting down on the bed, clutching the blanket to his chest. He breathed in slowly and let the scent of it wash over him; engine fuel and lavender and the faintest hint of leather. From stealing my jackets all the godsdamned time, Han thought. He sat like that for a while, just breathing, tears making tracks down his cheeks as they fell onto the mattress below him. He could hear people looking for him. He didn’t care.
He glanced up at the small bookshelf above Luke’s bed and smiled as he reached out and carefully plucked a small necklace off the surface. It was a simple silver chain, with two circular pendants dangling from it. Twin suns, for Tattooine. Luke’s home. Although he knew that planet never really was home for him. A cage, really. Home was where you belonged, and Luke...Luke didn’t belong on Tattooine, living on a godsdamned moisture farm. He belonged here. On the Falcon. With Han.
Home.
Slowly, he slipped the necklace over his head and tucked it into his shirt. The metal was cold against his skin, and Han couldn’t help but think about what Luke had said
It’s so dark here.
It’s cold.
I’m scared.
He hadn’t been there. He should have been there. Luke had been alone, and scared, and on an unfamiliar planet. And it was all Han’s fault. He should have noticed that Luke was acting weird, should have made him admit what he was going to do, shouldhaveshouldhaveshouldhave-
“I’m so sorry, Kid,” Han whispered. “I’m so sorry.” he felt a pang in his chest at knowing Luke would have scolded him for apologizing, would have told him it was okay, would have said that there was nothing he could have done. He exhaled shakily, relinquishing his grip on the necklace and falling backward, resting his head on Luke’s pillow.
Taking a deep breath in, Han stared up at the ceiling, letting his tears spill from his eyes and onto the pillowcase. He felt a warm presence at his side, and glanced down, but found nothing but crumpled blankets. He had never been one to believe in the force, and Luke knew that. But he couldn’t push away a feeling of not being completely alone. So, he spoke to whatever was there.
“Kid...I don’t--I don’t know what to do. Stars, I’m so mad at you, why-” he bit back tears, clenching his jaw. “-why didn’t you tell me?” the last part was strained, nearly silent as the smuggler’s throat grew tight with emotion. “And I know that’s not fair of me, you always have your reasons, that’s for sure, but...I would have gone with you, you know. Even to the end.”
Something that could have been a kiss brushed against his forehead.
“Especially to the end.”

And buried it inside of me
That night I saw through all the magic
Now I'm a witness to the death of a hero

Febuwhump day 7 - poisoning
@febuwhump
“Hey, Han?” Luke whispers from behind him.
Han doesn’t look back, scanning the bar patrons, “Yeah, kid?” They’re supposed to meet a contact here about a weapons deal. And of course, the Rebellion had sent him because, as they put it, he was ‘experienced with illegal meetups and unsavory characters.’ He’d scowled at that, but they weren’t exactly wrong, and Leia’s smirk had said she’d been the one to tell them that. And then Luke had volunteered to come along, and that had been it. So now they’re here, late afternoon, entering a very seedy bar. And that’s saying something because Han has frequented a lot of bars in his time.
“Are you sure we’re in the right place?” comes Luke’s voice from behind him again, and he finally catches sight of the kid’s face in the dim lighting as he steps forward to stand at Han’s side. He’s grimacing as he looks around at the dirt and grime coating the walls and floor and the other patrons' not subtle gazes looking them over.
Han feels the same way, but then he spots the man they’re supposed to be meeting tucked into a booth near the back. “Yes,” is all he says, and he tugs on Luke’s arm as he makes his way over to the man.
He smiles as they approach, and Han immediately does not like him, and he trusts his gut over everything. But they’re here for a reason; the Rebellion needs the weapons he’s selling. He waves them into the darkened booth and holds out his hand, “Jossal,” he introduces himself. “I assume you’re here for the weapons.”
Han flashes a smile, “You assume correctly.” He can feel Luke roll his eyes next to him.

41 for the prompt list! Skysolo of course :)
Luke was going insane.
The high around the destruction of the Empire was beginning to fade, and reality had started to set in. The bright, victorious smiles of the Rebels had dimmed somewhat over the past few days, soured by creeping uncertainty.
He could deal with that. He could. It was to be expected. But what he couldn’t handle was the way Han had been acting around him.
Luke lowered himself into a sit, crossing his knees and ignoring the creak of protest one gave. Exhaling, his eyes fluttered shut as the universe began to trickle in with his breaths.
The floor beneath him seemed to melt away in a flurry of everything as something beneath his chest opened, light and darkness pouring out and in, entangling in the world around him, within him. It threatened to overwhelm him for a minute, the raw power filling his lungs, choking his soul.
He inhaled again. Embracing the wild energy around him instead of fighting it, telling the harsh tide it had a welcome home alongside the gentle waves. He could hear the heartbeat of every single person on the base, feel the Force sweep through their souls and into their surroundings.
There was a spike of fear and pain in one of them, and Luke’s eyes flew open, his breath hitching in his throat. He knew that essence as well as he knew his own, he’d recognize it anywhere.
Han.
The balance within him shattered, the potency he was attached to flying out of kilter as his emotions took over, his mind turning over that flash of pain again and again. Han. Han. Han.
Without meaning to, he threw his arms out in front of him, falling forward slightly so his palms smacked the cold floor. Maybe there was something to the rule about emotional attachments, he thought crazily, before his mind was travelling on pure instinct, hurtling towards the other man.
Whenever Luke had made contact with someone using the Force before, it had been gentle, tepid. A calm wave of presence, a connection spinning between the two. Slow, methodical.
This was nothing like that. As the two souls made contact, they crashed together in a dizzying flurry of emotion and memories, bewildering and overwhelming.
Pain. Warmth. Luke?
He got pulled under.
Han Solo didn’t know how to say I love you. He'd never needed to, before. Most of his relationships had been bang and go. He'd never fallen in love before, and he didn't know what to do now that he had.
He hadn't ever felt the sun die away when someone wasn't around him, or feel happy at the mention of someone's name before. And then came the kid.
Kind, trusting, everything that Han wasn't. They were light and dark, the sun and the moon. Only those balanced each other out. He and Luke didn't. How could they? Luke was like a sun - no, like two, the binary stars he’d grown up under. Blinding, warm, pulling people into his orbit, binding there there. Deadly, but kind.
But, like a sun, if you got too close, you'd get burned.
So Han kept his distance. Made jokes, careful to lie on the outskirts of Luke's orbit. Trying not to fall into him, to feel the warmth fill his lungs, make him dizzy.
He felt things he has never before. The sky no longer seemed inviting, because the kid in front of him held every star in his eyes. But he’d shrink away, back into the recluse of the shadow he's lived in.
He doesn't know how to love, and the kid does nothing but, and it breaks his heart a little.
Of course he doesn't know how to say I love you. How can you tell a universe you love it? Could you expect a supernova to admire you back? Luke is the sun, and Han is hiding in it's shadow, hoping no-one can hear him breathe. It's the way he lives; it's the way he would die. Alone, without the light.
