Are there any non anime artists who influence your style? Or is it mostly developed from the shows/manga themselves? Just curious. Your art is really beautiful ❤️

Countless! I was only influenced by manga for a brief time in my life before I went in other directions. I just recently found my way back.

I have too many influences to list, like, I get inspired and influenced daily by art I see everywhere and that's been going on all my life. There are a few big famous ones I can list easily though.

Jamie Hewlett, famous for Tank Girl and Gorillaz.

Ashley Wood has also done Tank Girl. PopBot and the Metal Gear Solid graphic novel for PSP were where I found him. Love his style so so much.

João Ruas / Feral Kid has a style I can't get enough of. I've often had his art as phone background and prints on my wall.

Alessandro Barbucci was a very early influence and W.i.t.c.h taught me how to draw. SkyDoll too later on. I think his style left traces on my own that I just can't get rid of now but that's fine.

Just gonna namedrop now or this will take all day.

I've been massively inspired by the great cluster of fairy tale artists consisting of John Bauer, Arthur Rackham, Alan Lee and Brian Froud and more.

Phil Hale and John Foster are both fantastic painters. Claire Wendling's drawings are amazing and among the classics I love Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele.

There are so many artists I've found throughout the years, on elfwood, deviantart, twitter and instagram, that have inspired and influenced me. I spend so much time looking at and collecting inspiration in various not very organized folders like a treasure hoard. Then I eat the inspiration material and make it a part of myself so I can make more art, fueled by interesting and beautiful things I like. I often see things I want to emulate and I experiment a lot with stealing little mannerisms into my own works with my own twist. I think we all do that. I can still remember where I got certain things from, or catch something in my own art that I realize I must have picked up from a specific artist. Like, I pick up and learn so much now, by manically inhaling the works I'm currently obsessed with. Kishimoto, Samura and Oda are all teaching me things when I draw their characters and try to use various style quirks from them, and the things I learn will inevitably become a part of my own art style repertoire from now on.

I’m Jessie (it’s my birth name and literally nothing to do with Team Rocket). I like to doodle and design things, most of my stuff is unfinished sketches and I like it that way. This blog is mainly to share whatever pokemon stuff I like (mainly Tracey and Jigglypuff) and whatever pokemon related stuff I doodle.

Other things I like are dolls (BJD, Monster High, Ever After High, etc…), lolita fashion (it has nothing to do with the book, that’s a common misconception), spooky things 🎃 👻 🕷️, gunpla, sewing and sometimes I write fanfic.

Other fandoms I like are AtLA, Skydoll, Sailor Moon, Winx Club and Gundam Wing.

I don’t really have any special rules for interacting with me. In general just don’t be a fucking asshole (bigots be gone lol) and also don’t be surprised if I don’t respond right away or at all. I have severe social anxiety.
