#in honor of me losing my voice over the last several days #I happened to get sick at the same time #so for anyone who needs a reference: all I could do was whisper—and even that took effort and a little pain #it hurt so badly to swallow that I had to brace myself before doing it and I would still wince #sensitive skin around the neck but especially the sides of the throat where there was the most swelling (being choked would not be fun)#it’s taken three days for my voice to come back enough to speak at a regular volume #but I’m still stuck in the lower registers of my voice #for anyone whose Whumpee has lost their voice #hope this helps!#whump

I love the shapes you use to draw machete, or really any character!! The way you draw noses, ears, bodies, fur, it looks like of I were to reach my hand out I could actually feel it, the bumps in the skin the squish of the flesh the softness of the hair. Not to mention the colors you use are very pleasing to the eye. So lovely... keep up the phenomenal work!!!

#that's actually one of the tricks I use when I'm having trouble getting the shape and form of something right #I try to visualize the thing right in front of me and rotate it around and look at it from different angles #and imagine that if I could touch it how flexible and yelding it would be and what the surface would feel like #since I don't shade my art very dutifully the sense of tangibility has to come from somewhere else #so I guess I'm putting a lot of eggs in the shape basket #and I try to give off the effect that despite the flatness of my style the things I draw still exist in 3d space and have weight and volume #I've talked about this before but man I love anatomy it's one of my favorite things in the world #I specifically try to convey the feel that there's layers of muscle and bone and various other tissues under the skin #like my characters are made of flesh and not solid uniform rubber coated with fur or something like that (?)#I don't know what I'm talking about it's late hah #but I'm glad you like my art #anonymous #answered

yknow sometimes the way trans women talk about testosterone and being on estrogen is indistinguishable from the way terfs try to convince afab people not to start hrt

this is not a criticism mind you, their experiences are their own and completely legitimate, it's just a matter of competing needs - they need a safe space to talk about their dysphoria and how testosterone makes them feel and i need to not hear about how i am destroying my body with hrt

ordinarily these things are pretty insular to transfem circles but since instagram has been feeding me transfem content i'm seeing it more and more and yet again the algorithm is fucking me

#ransomrambles #like a friend of mine in absolute genuineness told me how my skin was gonna stop being soft and my hair was gonna thin out #and she obviously wasn't trying to dissuade me from hrt .... but like ..... thanks for leading with that mate #with estrogen it's the - no downsides- people often say there aren't many downsides to taking e - save some erectile dysfunction #but when it's the other way it's - make sure you're really sure cause you're permanently ruining your body forever #like i get that - my skin feels so soft now - is an estrogen experience ..... but the reverse framing is not helping anyone here #that's just all you hear about testosterone hrt - a list of downsides you'll have to cope with #idk this isn't a fully constructed thought #like i said trans girls deserve the space to have that conversation #i just need to not be in that space cause it obviously hits me differently #but man the sheer volume of trans girls talking about the /damage/ t has done to them .... in dis tinguishable #the aside to this is also a lot of girls being like i realized i was a girl cause of xyzq #and the list is the same as the one my mother used to be like - see you must be a girl #so it's just tough #competing access needs are hard to manage #and that's why life is best on the curate your own experience webbed site

I’m watching Under The Skin and reading volume 4 of Stars of Chaos right now, and experiencing real grief over the fact that Winner is King will likely never air. Tan Jianci was born to play Gu Yun.

This on top of us not getting a special edition for Vol. 5 of the novel even though every other Seven Seas danmei translation has one. All I do is lose.

You won't believe what I found in a random Toy R' us clearance aisle, Which I only went in to scape from the screams of a "distressed " mother in the courtyard, her voice was so high it pierced through my noise canceling headphones (a most impressive feat), I'm not kidding, hopefully she found her kid because if if wasn't for her and my need to [leave were the drama was been happening tm] I wouldn't have found these gems, I wish her good fortune forever more.

Lost children aside, I lost it when I lay eyes on theses, straight up say out loud, "I don't care how much you cost YOU ARE COMING WITH ME!!!!"

They are paperback volumes of 光が死んだ夏, or Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu which is an amazing Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Mokumokuren, Ghosts, trauma, a bit of homophobia, codependency, twisted romance, ELDRITCH HORRORS!!!!! a side of attempted murder. It has a little bit of everything, and Mokumokuren sensei's art is Breathtakingly haunting, for example, the dialog boxes merge with the background to illustrate our titular boy ever decreasing mental health, it has SO much going for it, and it IS AMAZING.

Do yourself a favor and try this manga out, is soooo good.
