Came across a beaver skeleton. This beaver had been living a solitary life in a suburban creek before meeting its end. Those bright orange teeth are always a treat.
When I had stopped seeing the beaver in the creek I had just assumed what I actually saw was a large muskrat. As the muskrat were well documented in the area and the beaver were not. However this skeleton proves that what I saw was indeed the North American beaver.
Sadly, it looks like all of the smaller bones are missing as recent rain storms probably washed away the rest of the skeleton. The rib cage does appear to be ripped open so, maybe the missing pieces were eaten and deposited elsewhere.

My new favourite archery image!
This painting is located in the Church of the Nativity in Prague, and is dated to 1663. It is also the basis of at least 3 D&D character concepts that are stuck in my head now.

Last summer I was on a very expedited acid come up at a music festival and my entirely unaware mother thousands of miles away was at costco and texted me incredulous at how they already had halloween stuff out for sale in the summer but all I saw was a message preview of a giant 10 foot tall skeleton with glowing eyes and "can u believe it??"
