jason parked his car under a sprawling oak tree, the moonlight filtering through the leaves and casting soft shadows over the dashboard. his heart was still racing from the excitement of the evening. the date had been perfect— dinner at a cozy little italian restaurant followed by a walk along the beach, the waves crashing gently under the starry sky.

sitting next to him, you were the picture of serenity, your hair framing your face perfectly as you gazed out the window.

you turned to him with a smile, your eyes sparkling in the dim light. jason handed you the aux cord, his fingers brushing against yours in the process.

"your turn," he said, his voice a little huskier than he intended. "play something you like."

you took the cord and plugged it into your phone, scrolling through your playlist. after a moment, the gentle strumming of a guitar filled the car, followed by a familiar, soothing voice. jason recognized the song instantly— "kiss me" by sixpence none the richer.

as the melody filled the car, jason glanced at you. you could feel the heat creeping up to your cheeks but your eyes remained fixed on the view outside of his car.

jason noticed that there was a certain expectation in your demeanor. the song's message was clear, and it gave him the nudge he needed.

turning to face you, he reached out and took her hand, his thumb brushing lightly over your knuckles.

"y/n," he began, his voice soft and sincere, "this has been one of the best nights of my life."

you looked up at him, your eyes wide and filled with emotion. "me too, jason. i had a wonderful time."

the song continued to play, the chorus building up to the perfect moment.

gathering his courage, jason leaned in, his breath mingling with yours. your eyes fluttered shut, your lips parting slightly in anticipation.

your lips met his in a tender kiss, slow and sweet, the world around the two of you fading into insignificance.

as the two of you pulled apart, both breathless and smiling, jason knew that this was just the beginning of something extraordinary.

jason glanced out at the view, the city lights reflecting in his eyes. "i'm really glad we did this," he said softly, squeezing your hand gently.

you leaned your head against his shoulder, feeling a sense of contentment you hadn't experienced in a long time. "me too. it feels like... like we were meant to find each other."

jason chuckled, the sound warm and comforting. "maybe we were. i don't think i've ever felt this way on a first date."

you smiled, your heart swelling with happiness. "neither have i. it's like everything just clicked."

the two of you sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, listening to the song as it played through. the lyrics seemed to echo your sentiments perfectly, capturing the magic of the evening.

i feel like the only reason ravi isn't properly a main character yet is because he is living life in a whole other genre to the rest of the 118. they're all in a soap opera and meanwhile ravi's in a sitcom and they're the co-workers he gossips about. the rest of them are having crises or being in hospitals and ravi's biggest problem is figuring out buck's dating life
