Like?? um... it fits what was happening on Ogygia if you flip it. Calypso simply felt entitled, and did think she didn't deserve to have her "lover" taken away so the whole "all the pain" I've been through.

POSEIDON CRYING OUT MONSTER AS ODYSSEUS IS STABBING HIM (WITH HIS OWN DAMN TRIDENT??) WAS JUST SO ARGGHHHGHGHHH

anyways, i love how the whole concept of “monster” is a reoccurring theme throughout epic, even before the song monster.

he goes from being ruthless because of war, to all “open arms” because of polites, and then from the underworld saga onwards odysseus has slowly become a monster.

and being a monster/the notion of becoming a monster is something odysseus has bargained with this whole series. his morals. so seeing that now when poseidon is begging for odysseus to stop, even calling him a monster, odysseus doesn’t even flinch or hesitate. maybe if this had happened sooner, odysseus would’ve stopped. but it shows his character development so much and oh my gods i love it

I spent the last two days wondering why Eurylochus would admit to opening the bag while on the ship, and it’s obvious now that I know but it’s because he felt safe. He thought, god here’s a safe time to admit to my betrayal! Then he got six men, who he presumably trusted killed. It really emphasized how he didn’t know and it makes his betrayal cut that much deeper.

Odysseus answers, begs. What else can he do? It's Been Ten Years, they are both hurting from loses. Why can't they stop and just... go home. Finally, finally get to the home that is so close.

But No. The god says "Die". The god sends waves, sends him under. Ruthlessness is Mercy, he said before. He will not let Odysseus get away again. There is no escaping god of the sea now, not so deep in the ocean. Odysseus can hear Polites, can hear Eurylochous, can hear his mother. All of his comrades are Waiting, Waiting, Waiting. He can't let go but he must. They are Waiting. But then something unlike the sound of trumpets - crashing waves - resonates within him. A beat like his heart but getting stronger, getting more powerful. His chest is vibrating with it when he finally hears the tick-ticking, so familiar yet foreign. Then, a voice shakes his very being. "I was promised blood." Godly wrath fills him and suddenly Ares' instruments are all he can hear, followed closely by his soldiers' vengeful cry.

who is a former beauty queen, who left the pageant life to go to college and study music production, who grew up listening to records devouring them inside and out finding the special bits that made them magic, who despite the misogyny of the 70s vows to herself that she will put the work in to become a music producer, who wants to be apart of making the next great american record, who takes the job of secretary at sound city studios just to be a step closer, who writes her own music in a nook at her beach cottage, who had answered camila’s call when she set up an appointment for the six to meet teddy, who meets the six during their performance for teddy, who gets asked by the producer what she thinks and she thought they were great but always thought something was missing, who immediately befriends the group and crushes on the curly haired drummer who always seemed to find his way to her desk when he visits the studio, who meets daisy with teddy and it immediately clicks that daisy is what the six needs, who befriends daisy and urges her to give the band a shot, who produces on look at us now, then on aurora, who gets her big break afterwards being known as a producer for the breakout group, who visits them on tour, and who is there for the final show <3

Anne rushing downstairs in a panic: Oh my goodness, Queens I am so sorry! I didn’t go to sleep til late last night and I was really tired!

The Queens: [Holding out presents to Anne with a decorated house behind them]

Anne: [Tearing up] You guys-

[The queens take Jane out to a restaurant as per her request, Jane ends up drinking too much wine, and gets very drunk]

Jane, suddenly very sad as she’s dragged into their home with her Arm around Anna to stay standing: You guys love me right?

Anna: No one I’d rather carry home while she’s drunk.

Kat: You’re literally my mom. You’re my favorite.

Cathy, now confused: [Notices the blanket around her shoulders, and the pillow her head was under that she did not fall asleep on when she first fell asleep]

Cathy, noticing the mass of presents in front of her on the counter top: ????

Cathy turning around in confusion: ???

Kat rushing up to hug her: Look at the clock silly!

Cathy: [See’s the time is 0:01 in the morning (12:01 AM)]

Cathy, smiling and slightly emotional from that fact they remembered: Thanks you guys. [Invites the rest of them for hugs]

I love that Ellie is a swing and also has the Cleves reveal. I always felt like at least one swing should have it alongside the alternate, it’s such an iconic part of the show.
