Hi! I have a question: where did Seymour put her microphone before the peplum? i don't see a mic holder anywhere in the reference pics
It was always on the skirt. Often blended in a little better than some of the others.

Happy Asian and Pacific Islander Month to our queens!
Here in the US, May is Asian-American and Pacific Islander month. So just like last year, I'll be highlighting the Asian and Pacific Islander queens of Six. This year is especially fun as there's currently an Asian or Pacific Islander queen in every currently-running replica production of Six!
Pictured: Aragon: Grace Mouat (Burmese, 1st UK Tour and West End), Nicole Kyoung-mi Lambert (Korean, pre-Broadway regional tour and Broadway); Jasmine Shen (Chinese/Hong Konger, Breakaway 1.0); Chloé Zuel (Mauritian, 2020 Sydney); Phoenix Jackson Mendoza (Filipino, 2021-23 Aus Tour); Kristina Leopold (Chinese/Thai/Indian, Broadway/Boleyn Tour); 이아름솔/Lee Arum-soul (Korean, South Korea); 손승연/Sonnet (Korean, South Korea) Boleyn: Andrea Macasaet (Filipino, pre-Broadway regional tour and Broadway); Cherelle Jay (West End and 2nd UK Tour); Amanda Lindgren (South Korean, West End); Sunayna Smith (Indian, Breakaway 3.0 and 5.0); 김지우/Kim Ji-woo (Korean, South Korea); 배수정/Pae Su-jeong (Korean, South Korea); Fiorella Bamba (Filipino, Bliss 6.0); Thảo Therése Nguyễn (Vietnamese, West End) Seymour: Jasmine Forsberg (Filipino, Aragon Tour/Broadway); 박혜나/Park Hye-na (Korean, South Korea); 박가람 /Park Ga-ram (Korean, South Korea); Singh Viki (Indian, Hungarian non-replica) Cleves: 김지선/Kim Ji-sun (Korean, South Korea); 최현선/Choi Hyun-sun (Korean, South Korea); Danielle Mendoza (Filipino, Breakaway 3.0/Boleyn Tour); Kardffy Aisha (Persian, Hungarian non-replica) Howard: Jaina Brock-Patel (Desi/Indian, 2nd UK Tour); Zoe Jensen (Filipino, Broadway); 김려원/Kim Ryeo-won (Korean, South Korea); 솔지/Solji (Korean, South Korea); Elysia Cruz (Filipino, Canadian); Hien (Vietnamese, Hungarian non-replica); Sierra Fermin (Filipino, Broadway); Alizé Ke'Aloha Cruz (Filipina, Bliss 3.0/Boleyn Tour) Parr: Shimali de Silva (Hong Konger/Sri Lankan, original student cast); Vidya Makan (Desi/Indian heritage, 2020 and 2021-23 Australian Tours); Shannen Alyce Quan (Eurasian, 2020 and 2021-23 Australian Tours); Karis Oka (2020 and 2021-23 Australian Tours); Megan Leung (Chinese/Hong Konger, Bliss 2.0 and Breakaway 5.0); Roxanne Couch (Maori, West End); Joy N Woods (Southeast Asian and/or Pacific Islander, Broadway); Elena Breschi (Filipino, Breakaway 4.0) 유주혜/Yoo Ju-hye (Korean, South Korea); 홍지희/Hong Ji-hee (Korean, South Korea); Aoife Haakenson (Taiwanese, UK Tour); Lauren Mariaoosay (Indian/Polynesian/Malaysian/Cambodian, Canada) Notes: - All information is from this post. There may be additional info or queens missing, as it's only information I specifically have been able to verify. This list also doesn't encompass the full breadth of many queens' identities; many of them are of mixed race and ethnicity, or of several nationalities. That post provides further information. - I usually don't include actors who haven't debuted. That means that Kimberley Hodgson and Deirdre Khoo (both of the recently-announced Australian Tour) and Fia Houston-Hamilton (cancelled Breakaway 2.0) are not included.

Six Fun Fact
Because I'm obsessed with spreadsheets, I've been slowly adding more and more data to my little (ok it's big and slows my computer down hardcore) spreadsheet of Six information. After adding initial debut dates for every role each performer had, I came across a little fun fact: of the 73 unique debut orders performers in Six who performed 2 to 6 roles have had, there have, to this date, been 3 groups of people who debuted all the roles they have performed (again, to this date) in the exact same order; 2 groups of 3 who debuted 3 roles, and 1 group of 2 who debuted 2 roles:
Seymour/Howard/Parr
Elizabeth Walker (Breakaway 1.0)
Seymour Debut: 16 January 2020
Howard Debut: 18 February 2020
Parr Debut: 26 February 2020
Ellie Sharpe (Breakaway 2.0)
Seymour Debut: 11 October 2021
Howard Debut: 10 November 2021
Parr Debut: 14 February 2022
Jessie Davidson (Broadway 3.0)
Seymour Debut: 23 March 2024
Howard Debut: 7 April 2024
Parr Debut: 6 May 2024
Boleyn/Howard/Seymour
Bryony Duncan (Bliss 1.0)
Boleyn Debut: 8 September 2019
Howard Debut: 23 September 2019
Seymour Debut: 18 December 2019
Ashlee Waldbauer (Bliss 3.0)
Boleyn Debut: 22 November 2021 (First Show)
Howard Debut: 22 November 2021 (Second Show)
Seymour Debut: 3 January 2022
Izzy Formby-Jackson (Bliss 7.0)
Boleyn Debut: 30 November 2023
Howard Debut: 2 February 2023
Seymour Debut: 13 January 2024
Aragon/Cleves:
Shekinah McFarlane (West End 1.0)
Aragon Debut: 4 September 2019
Cleves Debut: 5 September 2019
Ella Burns (Australia 1.0)
Aragon Debut: 25 January 2020
Cleves Debut: 28 February 2020
*All photos taken from performers' and/or production members' social medias except the following:

**Bryony's photo as Seymour was from her as a Swing in the West End 2.0 production and Shekinah's Cleves photo as Cleves was from her as Principal in the UK Tour 2.0 production, despite them debuting these roles in the Bliss 1.0 and West End 1.0 productions, respectively.

Why do you think the new Breakaway cast hasn’t been allowed to post their costumes yet? I also saw a mic post on someone’s story that showed a teal one in the style of the main six? What do you think this is for?
It takes a day or two for just about every NCL cast to be allowed to post. Some of that is going to be due to them just not having wi-fi every day, but there have been plenty of times where they’ve had access to wi-fi and been posting about opening night/debut both the night of and the day after (sometimes posting/re-posting blurred or onstage photos) and still no photos. Then a few days later half of them will suddenly all post the photos at once. There seems to still be some form of approval process that photos and/or costumes still have to go through before they can be posted, even though these casts don’t have a photo ban since we’ve sometimes seen before.
The alts are the same: they basically always wait a day or two to share any photos. The other queens will wait as well. Sometimes they’ll all be posting “congratulations on your xyz debut” but again, oftentimes with no photos or only very blurred audience ones. Sometimes the alts will also post some sort of “sneak peak” of their costume, often with a comment about how they’ll “post more when they can.” And the second the alts post the photo, the rest of the principals will often post theirs as well.
It’s all just way too coordinated for there to not be some level of approval that most, if not all, alts/costumes/casts have to go through. It is worth noting that all costumes always do have to get approved at some point, for any cast/production. But with US Tours/Broadway that always happens significantly earlier, during tech or previews if not earlier. With NCL it seems to be that they don’t get a final sign off until later, maybe until tech or opening night for some shows (they also have a much shorter tech period than mainland shows). That might have to do with accessibility for fittings during rehearsals: the mainland actors rehearse in New York, where the costume team is located as well. But NCL holds rehearsals in Florida and they don’t usually go back to NYC for fittings during that, even thought the costumes are still in progress. Some actors do initial fittings in New York prior to the rehearsals starting and some do some of their fittings in Florida, but the specifics of all that isn’t particularly clear. And even once they board the ship, they may still not be able to get final approval during tech for any number of reasons (again it’s very short which may factor in). My guess would be that NCL casts just don’t get to do their final approval stages until they’re actually on the ship and at least teching/maybe initial debut, and that’s why we often have some level of delay.
And yeah, Sasha Renae Brown posted this photo of mics:
Yes, there’s a teal. No, we’re not going to see alt costumes. All the mics are labeled with the names of who is supposed to use them: Aragon, Boleyn, etc. If that was dependent on just principal or just alt, we’d see the names of specific actors like you can see on the line above! They’ve done the same thing for past Breakaway (and Bliss) casts in the principal costumes. This is most likely a backup mic. If an actor’s handheld fails during the show, they have one on easy backup that can be grabbed sidestage. It’s likely Elizabeth Walker’s old one from 1.0 that they kept for that purpose; Liv Alexander’s was used as a backup before but has since been repurposed.

I don't understand what a rehearsal swing is or why they're needed. Can you explain that to me?
The very, very short explanation is that they’re actors who join rehearsals to learn the show and don’t immediately go onboard with the cast, but are prepared to do so later if they’re needed due to injury/illness/etc. Ships typically try to minimize the number of people who need to be onboard to try and limit the number of resources required - housing, food, dressing room space, etc all has to be provided by cruise ships for their employees. Since space and resources is limited, the number of actors they bring onboard also had to be. But only being able to have one onboard cover for each role also puts them at risk of not having enough coverage. If there's just a temporary issue that will be resolved with a week or two, they usually just cancel shows until they have enough actors. Of course you know from personal experience that that happened quite a bit with the first casts coming back from Covid lockdowns - they had some Covid outbreaks and between that illness and the initial longer quarantine periods, there were quite a few shows that got cancelled. Six usually only performs 3-4 shows per week and cruise attendees pay for the cruise rather than the specific show, so it is disappointing but won't be a major issue for them. If there's a significant longer-term issue, like an actor getting a major injury that requires them to leave the ship, they're in a tough spot. That's where the rehearsal swings come in - if any are available, one of them can jump on board to replace that actor (although it's not always as straightforward as a 1-1 substitution). That rehearsal alt allows them to have someone on hand who already knows the show and can quickly join and get into the swing of things with minimal rehearsal. All around it's much easier (and much more cost-effective) than having to re-cast the role, sign the contracts, fly someone in for fittings, teach them the whole show, and have them tech it.
With Six, a rehearsal alt has only gone onboard in that capacity once. In Bliss 1.0, Alicia (Howard) had to leave the ship about halfway through the run. Bryony Duncan (B/S/H alt) took over as principal Howard. They brought in Lori McLare (rehearsal alt A/C/H) as an understudy Howard, but since she didn't know B/S they actually had Bryony continue to understudy B/S while acting as principal Howard, and Lori just understudied Howard. And to make alllll of that more complicated...Caitlin Tipping (Seymour) had to temporarily leave the show for a few weeks, but Bryony was now Howard and Amy Bridges (rehearsal B/S/P) had already joined Breakaway 1.0 as Seymour, so neither of them could replace/join. They actually wound up having Natalie Pilkington add Seymour as her fourth cover, to act as a temporary replacement. At that point they still had alt costumes so she was just able to wear her black Parr variation with no issue. (Noting here that all of this was more complicated than that, but for the sake of keeping things as condensed as possible this is the simpler version)
It does seem like it would have made the most sense for Lori to take over as principal Howard and Bryony to just continue as B/S/H (and maybe take over as S instead). Not sure why that didn't happen. Might have been a costume thing.
Anyway. That's the very shortened version of what their basic, as-advertised role is and the one time we've seen that happen! There is more complexity to it than that, and I did just write up a longer post on some of that here if you're curious! But I hope that's helpful as a Rehearsal Swings 101!

So, through Cameo DMs, Amelia confirmed that the harmony order for Breakaway 1.0 was B/H/C/S/A/P. And the harmony order for Breakaway 2.0 was B/C/H/S/A/P. Does anyone have any guesses as to why Jessica’s harmony changed but Amelia’s stayed the same?
