Updates:

Kristina has mentioned in her post that she'll be touring "this summer", and Adriana posted that Schenectady (before break) is the closest the tour will be to NYC, when it's going to Hartford after the break. Looks like this cast might be on a short contract and we'll get a half or even a full change in the fall. Stay tuned!

Boleyn Tour 2024-2025

A little (kind of) speculation post on the Boleyn Tour 2.0.

What we know:

They are scheduled to start on April 16th and dates are currently booking through May 2025, with a gap between July 28th and November 12th. Considering most venues have announced their 2024-25 seasons, it doesn't look like we'll get that many more stops between that gap.

The principal cast is made up of returnees, with 3 of those being immediate returns (4 if you count Adriana).

Aryn mentioned on live today that she's staying until July 28th, which is the last show before the gap.

My guess:

I think we'll be getting another cast change, with some combination of Kristina/Cassie/Kelly/Adriana/Aryn (maybe more) leaving on July 28th and their replacements starting on November 12th (or whenever the break ends). Considering most of these returns have been with the show for almost or more than 2 years, I would be shocked to see them continue for another ~18 months straight. Unlikely, but I would love to see some of the new alts become some of the principal replacements after the break, but they're likely just getting a "head start". I've also heard rumors of the production changing the contracts due to the amount of 'smaller' cities they're performing in. Hopefully all of the new (and newly land) members will stay! But these are just my thoughts :)

Broadway 3.0 Cover Possiblities!

With the news of Jana Larell Glover joining Broadway (rightfully so!), that leads us to fun cover possibilities! Sierra was confirmed as A/C/H when she joined, and Jenny was briefly listed as A/B/S on her resume but has since been removed. Jessie's covers have not been confirmed, and Jana's tour covers are A/C/P, but will likely change as there cannot be 3 Aragon's. Here are all the cover possibilities listed out in order of most to least likely (explanations below before you get excited):

The first 2 remain consistent with the current Broadway system - only 1 overlapping cover with each alternate, and also assuming Jenny's covers remain A/B/S. This would confirm both Jessie and Jana as Parr, and for Option A I formed my own opinions on Jessie fitting Seymour and Jana fitting Boleyn (also both Marilyn and Nicole originally covered A/C/P and later covered Boleyn). Option B is if the opposite happens with Boleyn and Seymour.

The third option is the only option if they go with the Tour system - 0, 1, and 2 overlapping covers with each alternate, and also assuming Jenny's covers remain A/B/S.

The last 2 options are where things get funky. As mentioned before, Jenny's covers were briefly listed on her resume and were later removed. It's most likely that this was just for professionalism, as North American alternates don't have their covers named in their official titles (whereas in the UK they do), but let's have fun and explore the possibility that her covers changed with the addition of Jana. These 2 options are in the event that Jana keeps her covers as A/C/P (which would automatically fall in the Tour system as Sierra shares A/C), leaving Jenny and Jessie being either B/S/P or B/S/H!

This was just a fun nerdy post so don't take it too seriously! Just fun to see all the possibilities listed out :)

Six 6-Alternate System

Six alternate system with the alternates acting more as understudies. Each alternate has a priorty track and a secondary track. Using the times when there were 6 alternates on Broadway as examples (I know it'd be simpler to use one example but I wrote this a long time ago and couldn't bring myself to taking out the 1.5 cast it's just too perfect).

Six 2024 Production Guide!

New year means new opportunities for chaos for Six! I got a lot of great reviews from my Boleyn Tour update post, so I thought I'd do another one for what we know about Six going into 2024 - by production!

West End

Current cast is contracted until February 2025, so no major cast change this year

Natalie Pilkington is set to return as Universal Swing after being away for Panto

So far, no change in the alternate system (no second/third covers or alt costumes), but that very well could change

Broadway

Current cast is contracted for a year, so likely a December cast change again

The remaining 2.0 alternates (Ayla, Aubrey, & Kristina) will leave on March 4th

It is unclear whether or not the 3 new alternates will join before or after the current alternates leave

Cassie will likely leave before the Broadway cast change, similar to Marilyn

The first sing-a-long will be on March 6th!

UK Tour

Cast change will occur around July

Shows are currently booked through 28 September

The current cast will perform in Germany & Switzerland from March to April

North American (Boleyn) Tour

Cast change will occur on April 14th (new cast starts April 16th), Adriana (and Wesley and possibly Cassie) will also be staying

Shows are currently booked through July 28th

Australia

A new Australia (and potentially Australasian) Tour will begin in August 2024.

Canada

It is unclear how long the Canadian Production will run, but the cast says they are contracted for a year. So we may or may not have a cast change, depending on if they get an extension or not

Maggie Lacasse (Seymour) is expected to return in January or February

NCL Bliss & Breakaway

Both cruises are on their final casts: Bliss 7.0 & Breakaway 6.0

Bliss will close around February 24th

Breakaway will close around January 26th

A more permanent crossover between Canada and the US productions (i.e. universal alts somehow cover in Canada officially)

Courtney Mack returns (bonus points if she debuts a 4th role)

Another cruise member debuts in a land production

A cancelled debut finally happens (i.e. Carly Mercedes Dyer, Shantel Cribbs, original Breakaway 2.0)

A change in the North American alternate system

Someone joins a production with little-to-no announcement

A new or majorly updated costume

Principal-to-alternate pipeline but on land

New US sit-down production (bonus points if it's Los Angeles) ((extra bonus points if it's majority professional debuts/recent grads cast)

Here's a complete list of possibilities adding in the tour system, where they have more overlapping covers! Because one thing about Six is they're gonna switch it up

Sierra Fermin's resume has been updated to confirm that she covers A/C/H for Broadway V3. Knowing that Ayla, Aubrey, and/or Kristina are on very short contracts and will be leaving sometime in the near future, these are the options for the new cover system, assuming they stick with the "no overlaps" system they've been using since 2021.

This is what I've been working towards this past week: Filling in all the gaps in the alt costume system! This was a lot of fun and not as hard as I thought it'd be. Now that I have designs for all 30 permutations, I can focus on my next edit series: giving swalt costumes to the productions that don't use them!

My specific contributions are Blue Aragon, Orange Aragon, Orange Boleyn, Orange Seymour, Orange Howard, Pink Boleyn, Pink Seymour, Pink Cleves, Pink Howard, Pink Parr, Silver Aragon, and Silver Seymour

The preexisting variations are Black Aragon, Black Boleyn, Black Seymour, Black Cleves, Black Howard, Black Parr, Blue Boleyn, Blue Seymour, Blue Cleves, Blue Howard, Blue Parr, Orange Cleves, Orange Parr, Pink Aragon, Silver Boleyn, Silver Cleves, and Silver Parr
