So maybe someone has had this thought before and I'm not terribly involved in the fandom, but does anyone get a sort of... generative AI vibe from Bubble? Like they sometimes respond fully incoherently in a way that freaks even Caine out and it just reminds me of AI generated scripts that spit out some of the most insane lines of dialogue out of pocket.

I had this thought because I was wondering if Caine can alter the characters then maybe Caine causes the abstractions (Kaufmo, a clown, abstracted right as Pomni, a jester, showed up- maybe to make room for a new character archetype?), but then I was talking to someone in a discord about how random in a specifically malicious way Bubble is and how it's easy to write that kind of character off as a GIR clone because they usually are, but now I'm like... Huh. What if Bubble causes the abstractions because they're the actual AI and Caine is the human element. The abstractions might work similarly to how Monika deleted and corrupted characters from DDLC and be a direct reference to that.

We know Caine can change things about the "PCs" so it feels really easy to assume he could force abstraction if he wants to delete a character, but what if that tidbit of information is just a red herring to hide that Bubble is the real mastermind?

little AI rant because i am CONVINCED this paper i got sent to proofread and fact check is fully AI generated bc nothing and i mean NOTHING in this thing is correct. at face value if you just read it as a non expert it does sound like it makes sense but literally every single sentence i can either tell is wrong straight away or if i go fact check it it’s not true. and maybe the little sections are its own thing but if you take it all together it doesn’t follow any kind of logical flow or any human-like thought pattern. i am so fucking sick and tired btw.

I think I figured out the reason why I'm making some progress on You Belong To Me... Olimin's victims all seem to understand what he was aiming for and don't appear to hold a grudge against Olimar. All the leaflings have hazy memories when it comes to getting leafed so this isn't definitive evidence, but I wonder if Corgwin and Jin were as dead as Olimar when they got leafed.

Jin could have just been exhausted the way Collin was, but Corgwin reads to me like the creature killed him or at least dealt life threatening injuries. There's no mention of him getting away from the creature, just Olimin appearing, and losing consciousness while being attacked isn't a great sign. So I read it as Olimin defeating the creature just in time to get Corgwin to the Onion, since depending on the creature it would have tried to eat Corgwin.

My quest to fill my aspec quota for Uglies is encountering the same thematic stumbling block as His Dark Materials where I think it would be funny if David were ace and that's why his reaction to pretties who were designed in a lab to be sexy is 'ok. anyway'. He keeps defying millions of years of evolution? Yeah, that's called being ace and the end of your bloodline, baby. However it is thematically important that him being unimpressed by the various surgeries is his lack of cultural conditioning. So instead even though I don't remember loads from the sequel series I am going to claim Frey as aspec because that aligns nicely with my conviction that she should've gotten to keep the irradiated AI data ghost of her dead ex-boyfriend just to make everyone really uncomfortable.
