OK SO while I work on the next part of this moon (I'm trying to fit the rest of the pages into it so there aren't too many parts and I can send the pmv already but) Here's a bit about the clans/their cats! I was supposed to put the clan traits on the leader refs so here you go Mynaclan's trait is bloodthirsty, the cats are mostly raised in a way that reflects that trait, and it's one of the reasons on why Robin joined Storm The cats there usually have some sort of feathered looking fur and also lower muzzles resembling a bird's beak! They usually have stronger upper bodies too to climb trees. They tend to try and hunt bigger prey than themselves which is also another reason for Robin to not worry about Storm. Plus, by Seagullmoor, Eaglestar and Robintooth you can see all the cats there are named after birds.

Grisonclan is proud, mostly because of Galestar, yet several of the cats there do seem a bit nervous with all the stuff she says or gets their clan into. The cats there are usually monotone colors with some sort of marking, there seem to be currently only four cats that aren't monotone colored, one cream colored cat, and three brown ones, one being Galestar and the two other singlecolor siblings.

Caribouclan is wary because of Wiltedstar too, their clan is the closest to spots where there's lots of loners, and they are very careful in their own territory. Since they are located near multiple loners, the clan has a large variety of both colors and features, despite their wary nature they are more than welcome to loners who decide to join them, and multiple of the cats end up having outside roots kits because of how lean they are with that rule.

Denil

Denil is a recurring figure appearing in my dreams since my childhood. The first instance of Denil I remember is when I was around 7 (I'm now 20 and Denil still visits my dreams in fact Denil appeared in one few days ago) I'm not sure what pronouns to refer to Denil with so I will instead only use the name. Denil's appearance shifts near every dream however I can always tell that it is still Denil.

most common traits of Denil are:

Most commonly appears as a full black/shadowy sillhoutte without any distinctive features except sometimes for singlecolor eyes [closest similar example is the game Limbo]. Even when Denil manifests as a more detailed appeara- Except for few rarer instances, Denil always seem to remain stationary and stay in one "place" in dream or only doing one specific action. Denil might move somewhere else but you will never notice that movement with your own eyes. Denil is not like SCP-076 where Denil would remained statue-like, Denil moves but the movements are very "shallow" if that makes sense.

Denil always looks at me, Denil never looks somewhere else if I am near, always looking in my direction, directly at my face if Denil can.

Denil's dream themes quite often include the themes of repeating and doing something over again (quite often being in a loop though not always aware of it until I wake up), mirrors or/and glass, objects breaking (sometimes aforementioned mirrors and glass but not always), counting except skipping numbers without any pattern (so or example 2, 3, 7, 8, 15, 37), rich victorian aestheticnce, there is always something "shadowy" in that appearance. Sillhoutte doesn't have to be humanoid.

Okay-

First instance of Denil I remember was when I was around 7. Back then Denil manifested as a shadowy spider of size comparable to a smaller dog. Despite that, I haven't been afraid of Denil, I was just cautiously observing the spider from the distance. Back then I wasn't aware it was Denil.

That is because for next, 5 or 6 years Denil would mostly appear as a sillhouette of an adult masculine figure with white orbs where eyes should be. The most common pattern of the dreams that included Denil was me escaping from Denil who would either manifest in countless mirrors in some high class mansion. I would try to run away trying to not get caught.

I actually have not named Denil for many years. The dream that made Denil receive that name was yet again in "chase sequence" dream, except in that one, I would be caught for the first time ever. All I remember is that I was grabbed by my neck by the sillhouette in the mirror and wake up breathing heavily and not exactly in control of my body. After that state passed, out of nowhere the name "Denil" escaped my mouth and ever since then that's the name I started using to refer to the sillhouette figure.

I remember the "chase nightmares" would sort of halt in being my usual dreams. I also remember Denil sometimes taking form akin to some fictional characters, quite often ironically from Horror genre media.

Two examples I remember the most was when Five Nights at Freddy 2 came out, I had a dream in which I was in my bed and there would be a shadowy sillhouette of the Puppet with white orbs for eyes sitting and observing me cautiously. That is all I remember of that one.

The other was around when Doki Doki Literature Club came out and in my dream I remember being at my grandma's house and there being a blurry and silhouetty figure of Monika. Fascinatingly enough, that (submission cut off here)

Okay I was talking of Monika. Worth noting that Denil as Monika actually had more color which is what made me realize it was Monika in the first place. The figure was still blurry and had no actual details.

For some reason, from the age of around 15 to 18, Denil would mostly manifest as a feminine sillhouette, quite often in a high and long ponytail.

Denil's eyes would also stop being white and quite often shift color between dreams. Most common ones were: emerald green, crimson, darker purple and somewhat maroon red.

Similar to the Puppet dream, I had another where Denil did nothing but observe me except this time Denil would stand (stand, not sit) on a chair next to my bed in which I was in.

Denil would rarely manifest as humanoid non adult figures but I remember having a dream in which I was a raven that Denil who manifested as a shadowy preschool aged boy who would decide to observe me as I sat at a windowsill of a mansion Denil resided in

For many years Denil would never talk to me, just look at me, but somewhere in High School the dreams with Denil included Denil speaking but only ever to me (if the dreams ever included other "characters")

As of late (as in in last few recent years), sometimes a common theme in my dreams is Denil being my older sibling. I remember reffering to Denil as my older brother and older sister in multiple of my dreams.

Denil's usual sillhouette I was used to (which was just the body without any recognisable fashion elements except the ponytail sometimes if you count that) would often start manifesting with a visible high class ballroom dress reaching around kneeheight

While my dreams don't tend to put me in high stress as the ones from my younger years and quite often Denil is no longer a "villain" in them (the dreams where Denil is my sibling, Denil is often helping me with whatever else that is bothering us in the dream), there are exceptions. I noticed in dreams Denil is a villain, Denil takes on a more animalistic figure. For example, few weeks ago Denil manifested as a sillhouette of a wolf like person, similar in shape to Death from Puss in the Boots 2, also had the Death's eye color.

As of even more recently, Denil started to sometimes manifest as a tethered figured, inherently connected to my mind and/or soul. Quite often I no longer see Denil taking on any form but I still can hear Denil talking or us conversing or id Denil is not soeaking in that particular dream, I still feel Denil's pressence close to me.

well, welcome to my tumblr, anon possibly here from my art fight account!! for anyone confused, we're talking about this girlie today:

i haven't posted about her or Long After StarClan on my tumblr once, not as far as i remember. that stuff is mainly in my head, on my art fight account and my youtube, even the starting phases of the story went to my priv twitter (rip in pieces), so im actually really stoked to talk about her now!!

last disclaimer before a read more bc i fear i may make this super long: details of her story are subject to change, since Long After StarClan doesn't exist as a tangible fanfic or comic or anything yet!

that's all, let's go!!

let's start at the beginning: Maggotblood was born to the ShadowClan warrior Blaze (orange tabby shorthair, green eyes) and the kittypet Nellie (white singlecolor shorthair, blue eyes), as the only kit of her litter.

Blaze was part of a sort of ShadowClan youth sub-culture, one a little inspired by RiverClan. this might make absolutely no sense, but it will when you take a look at the differences between Clans in the Long After StarClan universe. the TL:DR here is that LAS RiverClan is a haven of toxic, battle-obsessed behaivor, and some young warriors in ShadowClan either found that really cool, or felt so provoked they decided to start mirroring that exact behaivor (more of the latter, none of them really liked RiverClan). So, Blaze was this really abraisive, over-confident and bloodthirsty warrior whom always bragged about how good he was at everything. naturally, very little other cats in the clan liked him as a result of that. thus, he began seeking admiration from other sources. enter: Nellie

Nellie might not have seemed like it at first, but she matched Blaze's arrogance quite well. she was stuck-up and though she only ever deserved the best, which she thought she found in Blaze. So basically, think Onestar and his kittypet fling and you kinda get Blaze's and Nellie's story. but their whole flirtery grinds to a halt abruptly when it turns out Nellie is pregnant. at first, Nellie isn't really against the idea of kits, knowing but not telling Blaze she knows her twolegs will jsut take them away anyway and they can focus on her again. but Blaze is horrified (not that he'd admit to that of course). tension against outsiders was, for ambiguous reasons, at a bit of a high at that time, and if anyone found out he had kittens with a kittypet it would be a severely blow to his reputation (or the reputation he thought he had). Nellie catches on to this pretty quickly and she's kind of furious when Blaze more or less accidentally admits he only her saw her as a fling, not as the great cat she thought herself of as. when she gave birth to her single kitten, she felt not a single ounce of motherly care for it and decided instead she'd punish Blaze for lying to her. she marches straight into ShadowClan camp, drops off the kitten, and explains who the father is, which Blaze tries desparately to refute, but the resemblance of that kitten and Blaze was just too clear, she even had the same forehead markings as him! so yeah, now everyone knew Blaze did that and he was so butthurt that he never took care of his kit and instead left her in the care of an unrelated queen who didn't care much about her either.

the queen, as well as the rest of the Clan, including Blaze, never made a really big secret out of the fact that Maggotblood was not related to the queen raising her. one day, she felt so starved for motherly attention that she begged Blaze to take her to see her real mother. I did a short PMV about this scene, basically they get to Nellie's twolegnest, Nellie and Blaze fight and then Nellie says really hurtfult things about Maggotblood, practically disowning her a second time.

so they go back, Maggotblood feels absolutely horrible, and at one point, when she was still a kittten, she tried to run away from camp. she got herself hurt and wound up in the medicine den. now, that encounter in there was not the first time she's seen Giantcloud, her future mentor, for more than a few moments. time to get into a LAS specific ritual, yippie!!

so, if you may have noticed, it seems that no clan cat has a canonical clan name, apart from the medicine cats. theres a reason for that!! LAS plays around the Lake territories with the vaguely recent canonical territoy distributions. and the lake territory has the Moonpool as the primary connection hub to StarClan, right?

in Long after StarClan it's uh. it's fucking dried out!!

the Moon's Deep is still the meetup spot for medicine cats every half a moon in this universe, but it's also ground for another ritual: when a kitten is between the ages of 1 and 6 moons, on a half moon, they are brought to the Moon's Deep once, in company of the clan's medicine cats (and maybe the parents too, case by case basis). there, they are expected to spend a night sleeping in the gigantic drained pool. and whatever dream they wind up having can and will determine their future role in the clan.

you see, the reason Long After StarClan is called that is that StarClan is absent in the story for the most part. a secondary role medicine cats play here is lorekeeping which includes finding out whatever they can about StarClan and the past, but it's very much in the background of this story. and without StarClan, you can't really have cats with a strong bond to it, making this the centralized way clan cats decide who will be fit for being a doctor and who won't.

Maggotblood, as her dream determined, was also fit to be one. but at that point in time, ShadowClan already had a medicine cat apprentice. Hawthorn, this girlie:

she hated being a doctor and she wanted to be the leader instead, and she was really relieved when it turned out Maggotblood could replace her, but until she could be apprenticed, Hawthorn had to stay in the medicine den.

By ShadowClan tradition, cats are allowed to give themselves their name once they hit 6 moons and are apprenticed. Maggotblood, just a nameless kitten back then, decided to name herself Jasmine, after the flowers in Nellie's garden. until that point, she only really had one cat occasionally looking out for her, whom she considered a friend, and that was Misty. but as soon as she became the medicine cat apprentice, it felt like a whole new world had opened it's doors for her. Jasmine met the other medicine cats for the first time and they were all nice to her, respected her, and she became really good friends with Runner (later Lakerunner), the apprentice of WindClan. and Giantcloud became the cat she trusted the most, he was like a father to her.

during her apprenticeship, Blaze died in a badger attack. Jasmin did not know how to feel, or how to talk about this. surprisingly, she wound up bonding with the RiverClan medicine cat, Waspvenom, over it, since he had a complicated relationship with his biological family too.

the six moons of apprenticeship, the best six moons of her life, ended with her and Runner's final naming ceremony. much like how a dream determines your role, for medicine cats it also determiens your final name despite all rules your Clan has for naming. Runner become Lakerunner, after a dream of him running across the lake. Jasmine, however, had a terrifying dream about carcasses, those of hundreds of cats, swarming with maggots. shaken up, she tells her fellow medicine cats that her new name is Maggotblood, whether she wants it or not.

was it a dream or was it a vision? could have been both, considering what happens next in her story. but this is already so long and if you ever want the TBC it'll have to be another post, sowwy!!
