Galactic Gobbler - Addictive Space Game
Tumblr media
Galactic Gobbler is an addictive and thrilling game that puts your drawing and guiding skills to the ultimate test. The objective of the game is to guide planets into a black hole by drawing lines strategically, while avoiding the deadly Metroids. With each level, the challenges increase, making it a gripping and exciting experience for players of all ages. The game features a stunning galactic backdrop, immersing players in a visually captivating space environment. The planets appear at various positions on the screen, and your task is to draw lines with your finger or mouse to guide them towards the black hole. The precision of your lines will determine the path the planets take, so you must plan and execute your moves carefully. However, the game is not without its challenges. As you progress, pesky Metroids will be thrown into the mix. These hostile creatures can latch onto the planets, making them harder to control and increasing the difficulty. You must avoid guiding the Metroids or accidentally missing the planets, as any slip-up will result in the game coming to an end. Galactic Gobbler provides an addictive and immersive gameplay experience, with its simple controls and progressively challenging levels. The stunning graphics, engaging sound effects, and intuitive mechanics make it a must-play game for space enthusiasts and casual gamers alike. So, prepare yourself for an exciting cosmic adventure and see how many planets you can successfully guide into the black hole!

Here’s a series of board games I’ve made recently.
Astro Asterid’s Quick Shuttle Repair
Tumblr media
Derelict ships in space need to be fixed quickly, so they call on Astro Asterid to repair them! Carry resources through the halls of various ships to repair systems that have crashed. The more resources you carry, the slower you move, and the more likely more systems will go offline! Move quickly but strategically to repair all the systems before time runs out!
Treasure by Torchlight
Tumblr media
A single player dungeon crawling role playing game featuring cute little mammal characters in a fantasy setting. Journey through dungeons collecting treasure and defeating monsters to level up your character so you can take on the final boss! But be careful, with every step you take your torchlight grows dimmer. Keep that torch lit as you explore randomly generated dungeons!
Treasure by Torchlight: Bite Size
Tumblr media
This is a mint-tin version of the same game. This “bite size” version contains everything the full size game does. An enormous game in a tiny package!
Noah’s Ark
Tumblr media
A very simple mint-tin game for young players. Move down the landscape collecting animals and bringing them one by one back to the ark. But hurry up! The flood waters are rising! Count up points at the end of the game and see if you got a high score!
The Longest Week
Tumblr media
In the middle of a zombie apocalypse you manage to find shelter and call for help. However, help won’t arrive for 7 days. During the day scavenge for weapons, farm for food, or gather resources to strengthen your gate because when night falls the zombie horde attacks! As the days progress the horde outside grows larger and stronger. Can you survive the week and be rescued?
All of these games can be found with more information and prices on my storefront on The Game Crafter website here!

I can’t believe it took me years to realise this but
Men find it absolutely hilarious when women/girls use “bro” “dude” “fam” “guys” to refer to others, in the most derisive way possible.
Every damn day I unwillingly overhear my youngest brother’s conversations with his xbox friends because the walls are thin and he has no damn volume control and there’s a girl who plays with them. When she isn’t online, they say the most demeaning things – not in a sexual way (I pray) but they’re always mocking her, criticising her gameplay and just clearly hate her guts.
(which makes me wonder why they don’t just unfriend her and kick her out of the party if they hate her so much, then hopefully she can find some better friends…poor kid)
Anyways this one time they were talking about how she always tries to act like one of them. Like she’s their bro. Like she’s a man. And it absolutely pissed them off. But they were laughing too. All ‘hah she really thinks she’s a guy. she thinks she’s our equal. she sounds so stupid. why do girls always talk like this lololol. let’s show her her real place and knock her down a few pegs in our next match. when she asks for an assist let’s just ignore her’
Fucking bleak. But it made me wonder how common of a thought this is for males. Women and girls using bro-talk is rampant on the internet and also in person, even with no y chromosomes in the equation.

Note
Do you play online games?
Whether it be like proper console gaming or basic games on your phone
I am so old, my formative experiences with video games were all single player. When multi-player online arrived, it was text-based MUDs (I helped run one, when 28.8 was fast) and that was all the social interaction I ever needed.
Put another way, I prefer my gaming to be quietly alone, or couch co-op with one of my kids. I have found every single online multiplayer gaming community to be so toxic and unwelcoming to new players, I honestly don't know how anyone can endure that shit to get to the good stuff, but like I said, I'm old.
For the last year or so, I've split my time among:
NHL 22 Create a Pro. Blaine Gretzky is in his 8th season of a game that was never intended to be an RPG, but EA vastly underestimated how far a weird nerd will go to make that happen.
Baldur's Gate 3. I'm in the final battle of my second play through because there is no such thing as too much Karlach. But I took a break because I loved the Fallout TV series, so...
Fallout 4 has been my jam for about a month. I loved New Vegas so much I have played all of it I think three times, plus I did all the DLC in a weekend awhile ago. But I never played 4, because I was playing RDR2 or something when it came out, and I never got around to it. I've been playing the hell out of it, and I'm completely obsessed. The world is so much bigger than I expected, and I love building, maintaining, and putting disco balls into all my settlements. I have no idea how far into the story I am, but every night something new and fun happens when I play.
And, finally, Stardew Valley. I am years late to the party, but I wanted something gentle, slow, and meditative for the change of pace from all those other things. I actually came to it because I wanted something like Animal Crossing that wasn't Nintendo-exclusive, and it was like 4 dollars on Steam. I think I have 40 or so hours in it. I'm about to start my first Fall season, and I fucking FINALLY caught a fish. I love how it forces you to pick one or two things to do each game day, so I'm like, "Well, we're clearing trees and rocks today, then I'll water the garden and go to sleep. Tomorrow, I'll take gifts into town." And so on. It shouldn't be as satisfying as it is, but it just works perfectly for me.
Thanks for asking. It's always fun for me to talk about stuff like this long after everyone has lost interest.

how funny would it be if The Emperor made up the whole Stelmane thing just to scare you because you called him a freak and her stroke had nothing to do with him, it was just a regular mundane stroke. This is my truth.

oh hello new game to keep an eye on in the distant future:
It has a pic from SSO because some previous SSE employees are now working there. Currently it's said to be a true crime horse mmorpg?
Additional link to their website:
tagging as sso for now since it'll be of interest to ssoblr folks, probably. But since there are links it probably won't show up. Ah well

YES HI, I know it's unusual for me to do game promo, BUT LISTEN.
If you enjoy city builders & resource management games, and like post-apocalyptic themes, then I highly recommend checking out Frostpunk! And now is the perfect time to grab it with this sale!
I immensely love this game. 💗

I don't see Tommy being much of a video game fan, but I can see him getting really into the immersion of video games with historical settings. Hear me out.
He never had any consoles growing up, because like hell was Tommy's dad going to get one and like hell was Tommy going to ask him. Then he went straight into the army, and when he got out of the army there were other things to worry about. He got back into his more physical hobbies - basketball and muay thai and fixing his cars.
Once he moves to Harbour and stops lying about himself he starts embracing the rest of his hobbies wholeheartedly. Reading novels and romcoms and learning about history. He thinks about those historical themed video games he sees online. Considers it, but doesn't want to waste money on a console or game he won't end up liking.
Then he meets Evan, and Evan has a console and a few games. And Tommy thinks that maybe this might be his chance. To play those games he wanted to as a teen. As an adult. Evan isn't going to say no to letting him borrow it. The immersion sounds fun. Indulging himself sounds fun. Letting himself explore and enjoy the remainder of those things he pushed away.

Someone made the joke and I had to do a redraw.
Even if he could talk about it to anyone, who's going to possibly believe that Shaw's trying to kill him. Yeah, that guy. The sad-looking professor. He killed the King of Belgium. No, really, stop walking away this is serious--
