Okay, @corn418 you cannot keep doing this to me, giving me gifts left and right! Well, guess what? I have a gift for YOU! Yeah! That's right!

I had another longer thing planned out but I realise I won't be able to get to it until July, so I thought of the next best thing! Fanfic with our ocs!

Specifically Orca and Painter ùwú

It's very short! I know! But I am still slowly getting out of writers block XD I'll try and do more in the future!

Genre- fluff (? I'm honestly not sure, it's just sweet XD)

Another day, another shift, an especially difficult one at that, even Orca had been struggling with this rotation and its awful weapons. If he had known it that it would be this bad, he would have sneaked in a couple weapons given by Patch.

This is why he always checks the schedules and manuals, Zefron always got on his case about it and to just "let it go" and "chilax, you always do fine regardless", he shouldn't have listened to that balloon head!

No matter, he'd just have to get through this until the shift is over, it couldn't go that badly, right?

Orca stared blankly at his status, Professional +1.

"Hey dude, it's not that bad, you've demoted yourself to +1 plenty of times to help me out! You can just quickly go back to Eggsecutive no problem!" Zefron tried to reassure his friend, wrapping an arm around his shorter companion's shoulders.

"Yes Zefron, but the key difference is that I demoted myself." He said, venom spilling from his tongue, making the taller slightly flinch. "I've screwed up so many times I didn't even have to demote myself!"

"Eesh dude, maybe you need to lay off from work for a while, cool down for a little until the next rotation, it's not the end of the world if you just stopped."

Orca huffed as he rolled his eyes, crossing his arm frustratedly. "Zefron, please, you know as well as I do I can't just stop working here."

"Dude, I'm not telling you to stop, I'm just sayin', maybe the reason you've been sucking so hard is because you've let your frustrations cloud you, and doing more shifts won't calm you down." Zefron shrugged as he slowly unwrapped his arms from Orca.

"Ugh, whatever. I'm just going to reread the manual, maybe if I refresh my memory I'll do better next round."

Zefron just let out a defeated grown, this guy was impossible. "I don't get why you're so obsessed with that manual, you've read it like, a thousand times already."

"34 to be exact, and maybe if you actually read it, you wouldn't be needing my help to stay as eggsecutive." Orca countered, much to his friends frustration.

As Orca went over to grab the employee handbook, he quickly noticed its absence. That was strange, no one ever reviewed the manual, as far as he knew he was the only "lunatic" that read that thing. "What? Where did it go?"

Zefron walked up behind Orca, sipping at his juice box. "What? The manual? I don't know, no one touches it, you sure you didn't misplace it?"

"That's what I thought! And I am confident I left it here last time! I never put anything out of its place!" Orca said, getting slightly exasperated, he didn't even own the thing! He was going to get in so much trouble if he lost that handbook!

Zefton continued to sip at his juice as he looked around, spotting a certain octoling at the employee's desk having her lunch with a very familiar looking book.

"Maybe you placed it in that girl's hand."

"What!?" Orca quickly lifted his head to where Zefron was pointing at, the sanatised octoling was practically fuming at this revelation, everybody knows he's the one that likes to read that!

"Chill buddy, as you said, maybe if we read that thing more, we'd be better at this job, right?" Zefron gave Orca a shit eating grin that only made him even more furious, how could he throw his own words against him!

Maybe it was the stress of that day, maybe he was finally reaching his limit, he didn't know, all he knew was that he was stomping over to that girl without a second thought, much to his friend's concern.

This wasn't like him, he was usually calmer than this and would avoid confrontations at any given chance, but this had been his final straw that day and he was about to blow up, this innate need to follow a pattern, a rule set up only in his head, that going against it felt wrong.

He tapped angrily at the girl's shoulder as he cleared his throat. "Ahem, excuse me."

She turned around only to be faced by the face of a very angry Orca, his scowl only making his pale features and dark green eyes be even more prominent. The octoling cowered beneath him, almost choking at her food.

"Y-yes? How m-may I help you?" Shw stuttered out nervously, internally begging he didn't kill her right there and then, she wasn't stupid, she knew who he was, she had heard the rumours.

"The employees hand book, I was gonna read that."

"Haha, right, right yes, my apologies, I just didn't expect you'd be back so soon." She said, quickly giving the book back. "I just thought I'd freshen up my memory a bit."

At that, all his blinding anger seemed to evaporate as he realised how terrifying he probably looked, embetresment quickly settled in, a bright green spreading across his face as he fumbled for words. "Oh, um, actually....never mind, you can keep reading it, my apologies, I just didn't think anyone else here read that thing."

"Oh, well, me neither honestly." She chuckled lightly as she cautiously took the book back from his hands. "But I always felt like it didn't hurt to refresh your memory a bit, ya know? And not many even read through all this to begin with."

"I know! I mean, is it that hard to read a couple pages just to get start? More than half of the newbies I train don't even know what they're getting into and try to wing it!"

The girl laughed at the other’s complains. "Tell me about it....do you, want to read it with me?"

Thay had gotten Orca off-guard for a moment. "Huh?"

She sputtered a little, looking away slightly nervously. "I mean, well, you said you also wanted to read it and I don't want to keep hogging the book all to myself so....? What do you say?"

He was stunned for a moment, not even sure what to say, he'd love to! No one had ever just sat down and read the employees hand book before! At least, not without passing out in the first page of it. A part of him bubbled with excitement but he quickly shot that down, he couldn't let himself fall for this so easily, but it wouldn't hurt to talk to someone new for once, right? Someone who had a similar interest as him.

Don't get him wrong, he appreciates Zefron and his friends, but they could be....a little bit too much sometimes.

Speaking of which, he turned to look behind him where he had last left the beanstalk of an inkling only to that he was....missing.

`Dang it, that bastard, he saw his chance to run off and leave me alone with her! I should have guessed he would have done something like this!`

"So, would you like to or not?" The octoling girl asked once again, waving the book slightly up in the air.

He sighs in defeat, it's not like he had anything better to do, not with Zefron booked for the afternoon. So he shrugged and nodded. "Sure, why not." He pulled a folded chair from the corner and moved to be sitting next to hers, having his front facing the back as he crossed his arms over the backrest of the chair and rested his chin over it.

"I'm Painter, by the way."

"I'm, uh....Orca."

She smiled. "Nice to meet you Orca."

The short octoling couldn't help but smile back at her. "Nice to meet you too."

Okay so I had written a whole other version but I realised it didn't portrayed what I wanted but I liked it too much to just delete it all, so here, have a bonus part of what could have been:

"What do you suppose I do then? You're busy this afternoon, I don't have anything else to do..." Orca admitted, slightly embarrassed.

"Well, what about that book you wanted to read last week?"

"I already finished it."

"Oh."

Zefron looked around, taking a sip from his juice box as he placed a hand inside the pocket of his pants until his eyes landed on a particular octoling that was seeting at the ugliest looking folding desk and chair eating her lunch. "Hey, that girl, I've seen her around from time to time."

Orca didn't like where this was going. "Okay, and?"

"I never see her with anybody, and I haven't seen her in turf either, what I have seen her doing is reading that dang manual you always glued your eyes in for reason."

"Maybe if you took a minute to ready any of them you'd stop loosing your rank so often." Orca shot back, but Zefron ignored the jab at his skills or it just flew right over his head.

"I've never seen her in eggsecutive either, maybe you can help her out."

Orca knew this is where he was going with this, but he still felt shocked his friend even thought of such a suggestion.

"Zefron! You know I can't!"

"You can't, or you won't?" The inkling said, giving his shorter friend the biggest side eye as he took a slow sip of his juice box.

"Wh--"

"It's just a suggestion, dude, you need to branch out a little more, besides, you've always volunteered to train newcomers, what's so wrong with helping someone?"

"What if I scare her off with, well, all this!" He motioned at his whole self frustratingly. Zefron's gaze softened, he moved to place a reassuring hand over his shoulder. "Neaty, my dude, you can't keep letting that hold you back, besides, most people here have seen far worse looking things, you actually look pretty awesome with those creepy looking eyes."

So today I decided to try and draw Skyfire, in the same sort of vein as I did the War Dawn trio, to try and practice him

I mostly chose Skyfire since I made a couple posts about him/skystar, so I figured might as well draw him, especially since he shows up far less than his counterpart

To be perfectly honest, I think I still need a lot of work in drawing these guys, as I’ve said many times before. I think I can get the heads, but I start to get wonky with the chests, and I really didn’t know how to do his shoulders

Anyways, so this design is based on his g1 design, mostly this one image I got of him

But I also wanted to take some liberties with his design, at least in the head area. I’m realizing I didn’t actually change much of the rest of the body outside of omitting bits, as per usual

I don’t know, I think I like the head design, I just need a slight bit more consistency with it. Also in my head, he’s got a visor that drops down to completely cover his face, but the issue there comes in his colors. His glass is blue, so logically his visor mask would be blue too. But the top of his head is also blue, and it’s really the only other place the blue shows up in outside of the glass. So either I’d have to make his mask red and break consistency, or change the top of his helm to be another color (probably red) and get rid of one of the few pops of blue he has

I also just don’t know how to draw his chest things, the sides that pop out. So that’s why they look weird

And also, his shoulders are like the one part of him that’s circular outside of his helm, and it really annoys me because it sticks out so much to me, with basically the rest of him being rectangular

Also also, I don’t know how to do the arms either, in part because of the circular bits and also I don’t know how to make the triangular prisms

Where was I going with this? I don’t remember. All I know is that while I like his head, I’m well aware my drawings of him aren’t the best. I still need to learn how to draw Transformers properly. Which I’ve been saying for quite a while now, but I’m not sure how much progress I’ve made on that front

But anyways, last thing to talk about I suppose is the design itself. I quite like it, but because it doesn’t belong to any continuity, only being me tweaking his g1 design, I’m not sure what to use it for. I could use it for my own if I really wanted to, but of my random AU ideas, I don’t really know where to fit Skyfire in them. And would I make all subsequent designs for this hypothetical AU based on their g1 designs? I don’t really want to do that with Megatron, I don’t really like his helm design in g1 (it’s weird and ill defined to me)

But for now I guess, I have made this Skyfire design. Not the best work of mine, but I’m still trying to learn Transformers, so I’ll take it

Sometimes I think to myself "actually maybe I'm exaggerating the terror I felt from being stalked", but then I remember that the person in question followed me and waited for me outside my school every day, tracked me down on every website I'd spent even the slightest time on, left physical letters in my mailbox, sent creepy as hell novel length messages on a near daily basis on FB. And then when I was living abroad and I answered the phone I told the caller to text me cause I couldn't hear, after which I had to read "I was saying that you would probably be VERY scared if you knew who's calling... hehe" with my own damn fucking eyes...

And then I'm like yknow what nevermind!!!! the fact that I'm still terrified of being perceived and seen in public not just IRL but also FFXIV might be understandable actually!!!

Earliest… He stopes and thinks for a moment. I think my earliest memory is me spending time with my dad in his work shop. My older brother and sister were playing a little too rough, and I got hurt while trying to play with them. My mom was to busy dealing with my younger brother, since he was still a newborn, so my dad watched me while he was working. He ended up giving me an old lock and key to play with, and it ended up being my favorite toy ever since. I think I still have it somewhere, actually… I’ll have to see if I can find it…

Curly being a victim of Jimmy does not however make Anya any less of a victim. They were both different types of Victims, Anya being sexually assaulted and having her sense of safety, personhood, and autonomy violated. Curly was manipulated and belittled by Jimmy pre crash several times, Jimmy also completely twisted what Curly said a few times to warp it to his own perception. They did not have a healthy friendship.

Everyone on the Tulpar was a victim of Jimmy’s by the end.

- Curly in an unhealthy and unbalanced friendship

- Swansea became a murder victim

- and of course Anya was a victim of rape and misogyny

But again, other characters being victimized by Jimmy do not detract from what happened to Anya or her Victimhood

After a few hunger strikes and health worries, baby girl has finally started eating regularly and putting on weight. She was a very good girl and held still today while I weighed her- normally she's a wiggle worm who is unusually talented at hitting the tare (reset scale) button.

Whenever Scoria is out her sister Sakura watches us very carefully. At first, she didn't trust me and acted like she had some bad experiences with humans before I got her. At that time Scoria was the only being in existence she felt safe with and could flee to when she was frightened, so it's no wonder Sakura worried over her when I had her out, and thoroughly checked her over when I put her back in her enclosure.

Her look isn't one of fear and worry anymore though. Now she has one of curiosity. Of learning. When she sees me hold Scoria, she wants to try it too. When she watched me gently cup my hand around her sister, she wanted to try hiding in a "hand cave" too. And after seeing Scoria and I cuddle, she bravely came out the next morning, curled up and snuggled me for a few minutes.

It's quite the experience living with these two sweet girls who care so very much about each other, and seeing how they think and even change their thoughts and actions over time. It's also really neat to see how they both learn from watching, and trust each other's judgement.

Honestly I think people don't give snakes enough credit as far as intelligence and empathy/care are concerned. There's still so much about them we don't know, and I'm amazed by the things they show me.
