I'm not sure if the main composer for Sims 2 PSP, Kevin Manthei, did the remix, or if they got Ian Stocker to remix that one song himself just for the PSP game - But either way, the original DS song was by Ian Stocker

The Sims 2 GBA/DS OST - Prototype Tracks

These were composed during production of the Sims 2 handheld games, developed by Griptonite and published by EA in 2004.

All songs were made with Jeskola Buzz, my weapon of choice in the mid-2000's for full production music, before I switched over to Renoise.

These are very similar to the in-game versions, since I sampled these versions and re-sequenced them for use on the handheld systems. The Create-a-Sim songs were early ideas that never made it into the game (the final CAS song is much better if I do say so).

I just try a little of AI for making myself a Simlish version of Genie in a bottle, Sadly didn't have the britney voice but ariana did the trick, just a first try if you want to listen an improved version just let me know gotta record me more to try to hit the notes, sometimes AI gets a little "dumb" around pitch and notes

TSM-to-TS2: Medieval Traits (Completers)

Published: 1-9-2025 (via Discord) | Updated: 2-3-2025 SUMMARY Here are 32 traits (inventory objects – “tokens”) taken from Sims Medieval (EA/Maxis/Sims Studio, 2011). They use their original icons and descriptions. There are over 60 traits in the game originally, but many have already been made/converted by Cedanyblee (2020), Laura & Mortia (2020A, 2020B, 2020C), Sun & Moon Star Factory (2021-2022; 2023), Fire Flower (2021), and others. Custom historical-fantasy traits are included in the new collection file for convenience. This set only includes traits which have NOT been made already. Documents with links to the other traits are available for download below. DETAILS Requires all EPs/SPs. §0 | Buy > Misc  > Misc At the time of this post, these are for storytelling/completion purposes only. These are TOKENS ONLY – they do not alter sims/gameplay on their own. If/when they are incorporated in mods, their custom function(s) will depend on the mods in question. tysm anon!! I had to wrestle a bit with the file to make the taxi image work, and at the end it came out looking super neat! Especially if you have the sims 2's music playing (found a super cool music override that does that). It's such a cool idea, and I've been researching on how to do it 😆 ngl, making cc objects is something I wanna do someday, tho from the looks of it it's gonna take me a while to understand the process lol. If/when I make any breakthrough, I'll be sure to post about it :p (It'd be neat if it costs money too to use the taxi.)

thanks anon ^7^ you can replace them as long as you have access to the files (pancake1 made a pie menu & wants sound replacement and buurz replaced the in-game music with ones from other sims games). I looked around and found these resources you might want to check out: TS4 Sound Tool, UI sound kit & UI audio instance list

hehe tysm anon! My UI mods won't remove the shop icon so you'll need to grab other mods that do that. I decided not to do it myself to avoid having a new mod conflict ^^

Hii @simplyamazingsims, I've tested both mirroredup & triple mirror and both v3 files are working w/ the latest update. The reflection setting must be set to low or higher for the reflection to show up. You can also try clearing your caches and try removing the resource.cfg file (file will regenerate, and doing this fixes the issue for some). Oh and ofc having other cas backgrounds can cause mine to not show up so make sure there's only one in your mods folder ^^

@claravizeu it's a map override that I'll probably work on whenever I'm in the mood 😆

Hi anon! For the phone icons, I used xosdr's phone icons psd to create mine. For the wallpaper, I haven't found someone who've gathered & shared the files for it, so I'll see if I can do that myself :)

Heyy anon, it's a CAS bg that I made for the previews so it's not available to download. I haven't got the chance to prepare the files yet, but I'll try to find the time to do so ^^

Hey anon, unfortunately the notification wall is associated w/ the texture file that handles most of the UI panels, so you won't be able to remove a specific file to achieve it. I've received a request just like yours so what I can do is share it a separate file later on ^^

Hii as well, it's compatible yes ^^ you can use both mods as they don't have any files in common that conflicts with each other.

Hii as well, it's been a while so I don't know if you're still having the issue or if it's already been fixed. Afaik my mod shouldn't cause any loading issues on its own, as well as if you have the conflicting mod & files present and if you remove the conflicting files. So far, I've not received any reports of this exact issue, so I can't be of help. Sorry if that doesn't answer your question 😅

Heyy anon, basically you'd want to only remove the files that conflicts w/ the mods that you do use, and not the other way around. For example, if you use TOOL, you'd want to delete the files in the Additional Files > TOOL folder (either both text and texture files or just the text file alone, depending on which one you prefer). If you don't use TOOL, keep the files be. So, if you only have the UI Cheats mod and none of the listed conflicting mods, then you don't need to remove any files ^^

SIMS2.EXE

a short story in the style of Sonic.EXE. It is not written well, but it's not meant to be. Worktime: 20-ish minutes. 613 words

I shoulda known better. I really shoulda known better. But the second I heard The Sims 2 was getting a rerelease, I KNEW EA was gonna charge some stupid price for it. And I wasn’t about to give them my money for a game I already owned like ten years ago.

So when I saw a link on some forum that said FREE DOWNLOAD - SIMS 2 ALL EXPANSION PACKS, well... yeah. How could I say no? The user who posted it had a weird username—“NightVisitor”—but I just figured it was some rando. I clicked the link. The download was instant. Like, literally instant. One second, nothing. Next second, a fully installed Sims 2 folder on my desktop, with a shortcut named SIMS2.EXE.

Weird, but whatever. I booted it up.

It started normal. The classic blue plumbob screen. The cheery Maxis jingle. Nostalgia hit hard. I loaded Pleasantview because of course I did—where else do you start? But something was off right away. The loading screen took too long. The words at the bottom, y’know, where it says stuff like Reticulating Splines, just kept repeating HE IS WATCHING over and over.

I figured, hey, just some modder being weird. No biggie.

I picked a random pre-made house—Dina Caliente’s, why not—and started playing. But the second the game loaded, I noticed something wrong. The time was stuck at 3:00 AM. No matter what I did, it wouldn’t change. And Dina? She just stood there. Not idle. Not shifting weight like normal Sims do. Just frozen. Eyes open. Looking at the screen. Looking at me.

And then, the burglar music started. You know the one. That horrible, screechy, anxiety-inducing theme. DUNN-DUNN DUNNNN. But there was no burglar. The cops didn’t show up. The game just kept playing that awful music on loop.

Then, movement.

Dina snapped her head toward the front door. But it didn’t open. No burglar crept in. Instead, my screen glitched. Static. Flashing red for a second. And then—

BAM.

A close-up, front-facing image of the burglar's face filled my entire screen. His expression was wrong. Usually, he’s just stone faced, right? But here, he was grinning. Too wide. His teeth weren’t normal—too many, too sharp. And his eyes... oh god, his eyes. Hollow. Empty. Pitch black, but with tiny red pinpricks in the center.

My speakers blasted a horrible, garbled noise. Like the burglar music, but wrong, corrupted, mixed with static and whispering.

And then the game crashed.

My desktop flickered. But before I could even react, my entire laptop bluescreened.

My heart was pounding. Hands shaking. I stared at the error message, but it wasn’t normal either. It wasn’t a bunch of technical jargon. It just said, over and over, in blocky white letters:

“HE SEES YOU. HE SEES YOU. HE SEES YOU.”

And then my laptop shut off. Completely dead.

I tried to turn it back on. Nothing. It was fried. Gone.

I sat there, staring at my reflection in the black screen, my mind racing. Did I just get a virus? A trojan? Some kinda jumpscare mod? My stomach twisted. I felt sick.

I needed to sleep. I needed to forget this happened.

I crawled into bed, pulling the covers over my head, trying to shake the feeling that someone was watching me. That somewhere, in the dark corners of my room, a pair of hollow eyes were still staring.

Eventually, I drifted off.

And when I woke up—

My laptop was gone.

Not broken. Not fried. Not where I’d left it.

Just... gone.

The only thing left was a single note on my desk, scrawled in shaky, jagged letters.

"THANKS FOR LETTING ME IN."

Summary of Art 2024 before NY's?! Crazy!! Happy Holidays~

For the last 4 years (more mindfully and successfully the last two), instead of yearly goals/ resolutions I've been setting "mindsets". Making art is a process of expressing my soul burning bright, with whatever fuels it at the time, so taking care of my body and mind has been essential in keeping the relationship healthy, happy and on the dance floor. I am pretty sure I've noted somewhere what I wanted to do this year project wise (or it was so intense it got printed on my brain), which was finish at least one project and find my answers on what it means to me to "want" and "have to". The latter is still a wip, but more on that on the DW entry under the cut, hehe~

::Quick Summary

January, February, March: Mostly messing around doodling and half-jokingly working on skull-anatomy because I was busy out of my mind studying & working on a long project || April: Project working, moved to my village to focus, played The Sims2 after over a decade, paperwork hell, streaming nights~ || May: Major win!! project finish, Convention Time! || June: Moved out & patiently building energy lvls again.. 🐚 || July: Picked up the pencil & drew a bunch of Sephiroths in my sketchbook, read books, physio </3 || August: Going on a skull-spree!! (also still a wip but I'll learn to draw faces no matter what!!) || September: Chaniartoon Fest, sketches, paintings, wips, making buttons for the first time and as if all weren't enough-- baked banana bread(s) and went off to get the Open Water cert. after so many years (／ˍ・、) || October: drawing for my friends gives me life and is the best thing I've done this month ♥ || November: con prep, back to class while simultaneously working, zine work, dog-sitting!! || December: work, zine, homework, loads loads LOADS of music?! ♥ (((*°▽°*)八(*°▽°*)))

Thank you for a "do-it-scared" year 🌱 Some kind of leap-of-faith on it's own.. ✸ Wishing everyone health & strength to overcome any challenge 2025 has in its sleeve. May you indulge in what makes you happy ♥

Fun facts:

Started reading literature this year. Had a blast (and got blasted, in multiple ways).

In one of my dives (scuba) I threw up in the sea in front of a tourist boat, those that have glass bottoms. No one will forget that at the centre. I got the reputation now.

Apparently, the Sims has lore. The games aren't in chronological order either, for the reason I can't understand for the life of me. Like the 3rd game is the 1st one in the timeline?? Then 1st then 2nd

You can get this from reading character descriptions for characters already in the game. Who reads them though??? Why would you wanna read them and not immediately go build a lavish mansion or design 3000 characters to give them rugs to riches life story?

There's like this elaborate thing where it's unclear who built Pleasantview because two old rich families both fit the description. I guess that matters XD

Too many people enjoyed killing their sims in scary torturous ways. Y'all are ok? never did that, even as a kid, i felt bad for all my sims and never let them die (or even age lol)

Making Magic was The Best Thing???? It was so cool I'm still remembering it fondly, especially the baby dragons and this fucked up little lunapark ride shaped like a clown's head

Speaking of clowns, there's a clown that appears if your sims' mood is down, and he will not leave, will cough sadly, and only bring the character's spirits down more

In Sims 2 you can be abducted by aliens and later give birth to a green baby (and i think it was true regardless of gender but i might be wrong). Don't look in the telescope too often, mate. Or do, if you're into that sort of thing XD

The Sims2 University makes it possible for you to undress and run around campus naked, dancing in front of your peers
