Hello!! I created this sim a while back for a contest, which I lost, but that's okay! She is actually based off Sleep Token's album, "Take Me Back To Eden". I imagine her as a similar deity to Sleep, the deity worshipped by the band. I hope you like her!

Alonzo smiled to himself as the oven timer went off. The manicotti he had prepared came out just as he had hoped for.

Alonzo: (Yesenia would be proud.)

Carla: What's for dinner, Abuelo?

Alonzo: I made manicotti. Your favorite!

Carla smiled, hugging her grandfather in gratitude. She sat down and he placed a plate before her.

Alonzo: Are you not hungry, mija?

Carla snapped out of her thought bubble.

Carla: Oh, no, no. I am.. I just.. Abuelo? Have you heard anything from Carlos lately?

Alonzo sighed heavily, his thoughts consumed by his granddaughter's constant concern for her brother. It was impossible to deny his own worry for his only grandson, Carlos. Since the tumultuous legal battle over his sister's custody, Carlos had changed irrevocably. The once vibrant and cheerful boy had vanished, leaving behind a shadow of his former self. Alonzo couldn't forget their last conversation, where Carlos vowed to return as a better man. Alonzo couldn't fathom what "better" meant in this context; to him, Carlos was already perfect. He was the resilient boy who had shouldered responsibilities far beyond his years, protecting his sister from their troubled father's alcohol-fueled outbursts. He had faced loss and adversity with a bravery that belied his age, all for the sake of his beloved sister.

Alonzo: Listen, mija. I know how much you care about your brother, and I want you to know that I share your concern. You and your brother have been through things I won't wish on an enemy. He has done a wonderful job raising you and keeping you safe. I wish I could give you an answer that will relieve us both, but I haven't heard anything from him.

Carla looked at her plate, tears welling in her eyes.

Alonzo: But I know deep down he is doing very well. He is working very hard and when he comes back, we'll have a party for him. Until then, we can only hope and pray he is doing well. I promise the next time I get in contact with him, you'll be the first to know, okay? Let that necklace be a constant reminder of your brother's promise.

Carla: Yes, Abuelo..

Alonzo: Tell you what, mija. Once this school year is over, I have a special surprise for you.

Carla looked up from her plate.

Carla: A surprise? What is it?

Alonzo: Now, mija. I can't tell you until the school year is over. Finish your dinner and go to bed. You have school tomorrow.

*IN CARLA'S BEDROOM*

Carla: (I know Abuelo said not to worry... but it's pretty hard not to. Does he not love me anymore...? That's ridiculous... I should not be thinking like this!)

Carla flinched at the sound of the immense thunder clap outside.

Carla: *soothing herself* It's okay, Carlita, everything is going to be alright. It's okay, Carlita.. everything is *yawn* going to be aliright..

Just to answer a few quetions some of y'all might have.

No, Carlos hasn't cut them off. He just rarely speaks to his family as the job is time consuming, especially with him being at the very top of the secret agent career. He has a burner phone he rarely uses. He kows how easily he can be tracked. Especially because he is responsible for a gang leader's death.

He is not allowed to disclose what he does to anyone (that was in his contract)
