As usual, all original swatches included with lots of extras added by me! ☺️💗 I'm very excited to share the Monarch butterfly Breeding Project, which I made myself. When I was in school we raised some Monarchs and released them when they emerged & matured, it was really cool AND I love to share items that also raise some kind of awareness on important issues when the inspiration strikes me. Saving the Monarch butterflies is definitely one of them! You can read about how to help them here.

Type “ACNH School” into the search query in build mode to find  quickly. You can always find items like this, just begin typing  the title and it will appear.

Always suggested: bb.objects ON, it makes placing items much easier. For further placement tweaking, check out the TOOL mod.

Use the scale up & down feature on your keyboard to make the items larger or smaller to your liking. If you have a non-US keyboard, it may be different keys depending on which alphabet it uses. (I used this to "hang" the backpacks from the hook on the side of the student desk in the preview image above, for instance. To put it at the correct height, raise the backback 2 times.)

Prince Nicolo Carbone of the Grismarch, & Nnamdi of the Malamai

The Malamai were once an elite sect of warrior-priests, notorious across the ancient Empire for their efficiency, exclusivity, and hunger for rare knowledge. When the Empire fell, the Malamai order was officially dissolved, though many of its members (particularly those in possession of rare alchemical knowledge) continued to travel the world hunting monsters and training powerful students. Nicolo knew from the moment he met Nnamdi that he must learn from him, or one of his order (called Redcaps colloquially, for their red hats). When Nicolo's strange white-haired companion insisted that they learn together, Nnamdi regretfully assented.

Though Nicolo's training in the Malamai arts provided him with power beyond the scope of any of his kin, this power pushed him into social isolation, only exacerbated by Nicolo's own general misanthropy. After his relationship with Malle fractured and failed, he retreated forever into his walking tower, and was never heard from again. Nnamdi continued to teach Malle alone until he discovered she was experimenting with northern sorcery (what we today might call Fairy magic, which then was looked upon with far less trust, particularly by the Malamai), and attempted to kill her. Malle defeated her master, having poisoned him only hours earlier with Alchemical techniques Nnamdi himself taught her. Malle then set off into the forests in pursuit of Nicolo, bent on revenge and destruction.

The disappearance of the eldest prince, followed swiftly by the death of the king, left the Grismarch in a state of wild disarray, as Nicolo's two younger brothers jockeyed for the throne.

-->Crafting Barn: First Floor – I moved it into the crafting barn to make a display around Alice’s jewelry-crafting bench! :D Because I just didn’t have room for it in the séance room with all the other decorations I was trying to fit on the walls, and I realized that it would be thematically appropriate AND look cool for her to put those around the bench. So I moved the bench over to the spot where Simsonian Library’s food processing machine was previously; made a display of six box shelves from High School Years around the bench on each side in a “corner” configuration (three in the top row, two in the second row, one in the bottom row, like that, over each side of the bench); recolored them and the bench a nice red color; and filled the boxes with crystals – small on one side, big on the other. :) Looks pretty cool to me so far – Alice DOES need another small crystal to fill out that display, but otherwise, it works!

Oh, and while I was moving stuff around, I also moved the shelf with Victor’s three statues from when he was doing woodworking over by the candle-making station, so they weren’t just tucked in the corner by the stairs going down for no reason. :) Gotta have ‘em in a spot people will look at them!

-->Crafting Barn: Basement – And FINALLY we come to the newest room in the house (or under it, I suppose)! This again took some fiddling to get just right, but I managed to wrestle it into submission after a bit. In here we have –

I. Smiler’s Nectar Corner, which is the nectar-making machine and nine nectar storage racks (three columns of three) tucked away in the corner behind the stairs going down. I had to use ALT free-placement to get the nectar machine in the right place without the game complaining about it clipping into the wall – fortunately I was able to get Alice to start making some grape nectar during a pop into Live Mode, so I can confirm it all still works, yay.

II. The Food Processing Corner, which is the Simsonian Library food processing machine tucked into the opposite corner facing the nectar maker, with three Horse Ranch counters sitting next to it to store created items, like industrial-sized bags of flour and sugar. Very simple at the moment, as you can see – I'll have to see about jazzing this up with more decorations later.

III. Victor’s Alchemy Space, which is basically the entire other half of the room because all the alchemy stuff is much bigger. XD You have Victor’s cauldron on its special stone circle with glowy sigils (recolored black because I ended up going with dark swatches on all of the other furniture) near the “front” wall (lines up with where the entrance is on the actual barn), with the Vampires fancy book on a stand and a Realm of Magic set of scales on I believe a Crystal Creations accent table on one side (to look like a spellbook he’s consulting and scales for measuring out ingredients); a display of Crystal Creations glass box shelves for all of his alchemy potions on the wall, flanked by the decorative Realm of Magic side cabinets with all the bottles and such in them (one is even called an “apothecary” cabinet!), themselves flanked by two Realm of Magic pictures taken from the séance room (they depicted things like bottles and potion ingredients, so I figured they made more sense down here); and the couch I took from the back porch to the left, recolored blue with a dark frame and facing the cauldron so people can watch Victor brew if he wants. :) I’m quite happy with it!

Oh, and as one extra little touch (though I'm not sure you can actually see it in these pictures) – since both this basement and Smiler's "party barn" loft area have electric lights instead of the candle chandeliers used in the rest of the house (to keep electricity usage low), when I spotted the “light switch” wall decoration in the catalog looking for stuff to put on the walls, I decided “why not” and put one in each space by the stairs. Might as well add that little extra touch of realism, right?

And that pretty much covers everything I did to the house in between "proper" updates! (Well, except my adjustments to the pet obstacle course, but you'll see that in the "proper" update next week). Hope you enjoyed this latest round of "Victoria can't stop fiddling with the Valicer farmhouse" -- next time, the gang heads back to their San MyShuno store to sell some more stuff!

CO2 Skills: Custom Skill Tokens

SUMMARY I use mods to make more diverse sims in terms of personality traits, body types, and lifetime wants. They’ve made my sims more complex and interesting to play overall. Still, the skill-building system feels limited alongside these mods. Being a decent pianist shouldn’t automatically make it easier to paint, spy, DJ, garden, become a career slacker, work as an architect, and play every other instrument in-game. Being clean certainly benefits barbers and pet owners, but shouldn’t they also be good at cutting hair and animal care?

By default, sims can develop at least 40 skills - 4 toddler skills, 7 basic skills, 4 hidden skills, 6 life skills (AL/FT), and 11 talent badges (OFB). This custom skills pack expands the existing skill-hobby system in Sims 2 in the following ways:

60+ new skills taken from other games in the simsverse (Sims 3, Sims 4, console titles, etc.)

100+ new skills related to university majors, career tracks, and popular mods from the simsverse

New skills are linked to certain objects, interactions, and career levels

All TS2 content creators are welcome to link these skills to your creations if they choose. These will be linked to some of my custom careers, majors, and objects in the future.

BODY skill is already linked to tai chi and the restocking badge, but the skill is named differently across games (athleticism, fitness, health/sanity, etc.). Build physical and mental strengths for hunting, surfing, romance, street fighting, ballet, etc.

CHARISMA connects to the sales badge while a range of hobby-related interests fall under film and literature. Branch off and concentrate on related skill areas such as acting, deception, coaching, fame and more.

CLEANING skill is linked to three badges (cosmetology, gardening, and fishing) and enthusiasm for animals and the environment. Specialize in animal training, barbering, skin care, conservation and related skills.

COOKING skills open up new worlds of taste…time to make some magic in the kitchen! Skills include baking, soul food, gastromancy (occult foods!), mixology, alchemy and more.

CREATIVITY makes earning badges in flower arranging, pottery, and sewing easier. New artistic pursuits include advanced painting, jewelry making, storytelling, knitting, and street art.

DANCE skills such as dirty dancing, formal dancing, breakdancing, casual dancing, and more have been moved to their own folder.

LOGIC contributes to the register/cashiering badge and the hidden study/homework skill. Now, sims can master gemology, first aid, history, crypto-zoology and over a dozen other things. Sims will need to learn theory and technical skills to advance in certain majors/careers.

MECHANICAL sims can more easily earn a robotics badge and now, they can also unlock a host of new mechanical/tech-related pursuits – wood working, electrical, photography, fabrication, and so on.

SUPERNATURAL sims and those with supernatural abilities can enhance their craft by building a range of new skills. Try curse magic, reaping, earth bending, or flying! Other sims have limited access to these skill areas.

Objects to decorate a shelf or counter at the reception of a business based on the sale of plants, potions, alchemy and also for herbology or nurseries. In this part you will have small bottles (you can change their size with the keyboard), some of them with lighting to contribute to a magical appearance.

Malle la Strellaj / Ages Past & Ages Present

Tales of northern fairies are rare across Albatwi, but one face - and one name - is so notorious that she may reasonably be considered famous. Malle la Strellaj, Malle la Yamut, and Malle la Alchyme are her three most famous titles: The Shapechanger, The Immortal, The Alchemist. Centuries old, white-haired, and ageless, Malle has become something beyond human - a bonafide living, breathing, piece of folklore. Though opinions on her reasoning are varied from region to region, Malle's deeds are always the same. She haunts towns and cities on clear winter nights, and charms away their children to her wandering castle in the woods, where she teaches them her sorcery, and then returns them to their parents irrevocably changed. Whispers spread about her other deeds - assassination, infiltration, manipulation - but best-known are her series of enigmatic alchemical texts, disguised as biographies. Woven with complex layers of metaphor, code, and hidden images, Malle's books are nearly impossible to decrypt, and few remain outside of private collections.

Though only Malle herself is old enough to remember her true story, whispers of her tale are consistent enough across Albatwi to be worth recording: Centuries ago, in the time before the Crest had risen from the earth and severed the Fairy Kingdoms from the rest of the continent, a great forgotten empire ruled most of Albatwi. As the Fairylands are now, it was plagued by war and infighting, and was on the brink of collapse. Malle, a young princess of the Empire, fled southwards to escape the conflict, and came to reside in the Grismarch. She fell in love with a prince, and the two of them studied alchemy (and, in some versions, dark sorcery) from a Kathibi warrior-priest, common in those days. When the prince refused her affections, Malle swore that one day he would be forgotten, and she would be remembered. She has wandered Albatwi ever since, constantly seeking out and educating lost children like she once was, in hopes that one day one of them might prove her equal, and be the solution to her eternal loneliness.
