Color Theory Legacy Challenge
Do you like color? Do you like legacy challenges that switch things up each generation? Do you like family cozy gameplay AND spicy dramatic gameplay?
Well, then this is the legacy challenge for you! Inspired by classic legacy challenges like the Not So Berry Challenge by @lilsimsie and @alwaysimming and Such Colorful Lives by @thepanplumbob, this legacy challenge is a ten generation legacy challenge where each generation's goals and personality are based on the color theory of their assigned color!
General Rules: 1. Normal Lifespan recommended 2. Each Heir must represent the color of their generation BUT Berry sims are not required (Though feel free to use them if you want!) 3. Keep money cheats to a minimum! 4. Each heir must complete their required Careers and Aspirations unless specifically stated otherwise 5. Each heir can be any of the previous heir's children, no matter the birth order, unless specifically stated otherwise
Generation One: White - The Beginning White symbolizes innocence, purity, and beginnings... People call you innocent… naive… But that’s not really the case. You know exactly how cruel the world can be so you strive to make it a better place. You pour yourself into your career and your children and your marriage, determined to spend your life helping others and to raise children that help others, too.Your house is always sparklingly clean and there’s always a hot meal on the table and an extra bed (or sleeping bag or couch) for sims who need it.
Traits: Good, Generous, Neat
Aspiration: Friend of the World
Career: Doctor
Other Requirements:
Gain and Maintain a Pristine Reputation
Master Charisma and Cooking Skills
Reach at least Level Five of the Baking Skill
Have a Good Friends Relationship with all your kids
Donate to charity every week, as much as you can afford
Have an idyllic romance with your partner that inspires your heir
Optional: Master the Parenting Skill
Continued Under the Cut:
Generation Two: Pink - The Romantic Nurturer Pink symbolizes love, compassion, and nurturing. You just love love! Your parents had an idyllic romance that taught you what love was supposed to look like. And you want everyone to have that kind of love! Including yourself! The problem is you just can't seem to decide which sim owns your heart! You have a couple lovers as a teen before finally settling down with your soulmate and raising a family together.
Traits: Perfectionist, Lovebug, Family Oriented
Aspiration: Paragon Partner (teen), Big Happy Family (adult)
Career: Romantic Consultant (either branch)
Other Requirements:
Master Parenting and Romance Skills
Reach at least Level Five of the Charisma Skill
Spoil your kids rotten (Rarely use the Punish option when correcting them)
Stay Soulmates with your spouse and go on one date a week
Optional: Have a love triangle as a teen
Generation Three: Red - The Passionate Actor Red symbolizes passion. You are a very passionate person, you always have been, but you’ve never cared for being kind. Not like your parent. You’re more of a hot-head, and tell it like it is. This means you make a lot of enemies. Who cares about Enemies when you have lovers? But none of those lovers are good enough for you, so you hop from one to the next, leaving a trail of broken hearts (and maybe one or two affair babies). For all your romantic exploits, your true love is the stage. You want to see your name up in lights!
Traits: Hot-Headed, Mean, Romantic
Aspiration: Villainous Valentine
Career: Actor
Other Requirements:
Master Romance, and Acting Skills
Reach at least Level Five of the Mischief Skill
Have more Enemies than Friends
Have three kids, all with different married sims.
Have a negative relationship with all your kids
Become a 5 Star Celebrity
Optional: Interact with your kids as little as possible, have them raised by a sibling, grandparent, or nanny
Generation Four: Brown - The Steadfast Farmer Brown is the color of strength and reliability. You’ve never gotten on too well with your parents. Neither of them were ever really around, so as the oldest, you sort of ended up as your younger siblings’ default parent. Of course, your grandparents did what they could to help, but they had their own lives. So, when you could, you found solace in animals. Animals aren’t like people, they don’t hurt you on purpose. When you’re finally old enough, you take your younger siblings and ditch your parents, moving to the countryside to finally have some peace. There, you build up a farm, with livestock and horses, and, of course, a family that actually loves each other.
Traits: Animal Enthusiast, Rancher, Loyal
Aspiration: Country Caretaker
Career: None, make money off your crops, livestock, and nectar
Other Requirements:
MUST be the eldest child of the Red generation
Master Horse Riding, Gardening, and Nectar Making skills
Own at least one pet (horses, dogs, or cats, it's up to you) at any given time
Own A Ranch or Farm with Chickens, Goats or Sheep, and Cows or Llamas
Once you reach Young Adulthood, run away from home with your younger siblings and raise them on your own.
Optional: do a Rags to Riches Challenge with this generation
Generation Five: Orange - The Childish Adventurer Orange symbolizes adventure and youthful passion. Okay, so you’re a bit of an oddball. Who cares? You delight in being unabashedly yourself! Your family was close knit, not just your parents and siblings, but your pets, cousins, and aunts and uncles as well, and they never tried to dull your sparkle. But the countryside, for all of its bucolic beauty, just doesn’t satisfy your love of adventure, so shortly after your adult birthday, you kiss your family goodbye and set off to see the world.
Traits: Adventurous, Cringe, Childish
Aspiration: Extreme Sports Enthusiast
Career: Athlete
Other Requirements:
Master Fitness and Rock Climbing Skills
Reach at least Level Five of the Skiing or Snowboarding skills
Live in three different worlds (not including the one you were raised)
Marry an Active Sim
Go on vacation to each of the vacation worlds at least once
Optional: Gain the Adrenaline Seeker lifestyle
Generation Six: Yellow - The Paranoid Techie Yellow symbolizes cheerfulness and happiness, but also cowardice or fear. You’ve always been a little… cautious. You’re not adventurous like your parent, choosing instead to be a homebody. Social stuff and trying new things are just a bit too daunting for you. So, you find your outlets in tech and video games instead. The people in those circles don’t seem to care as much about your awkwardness. And there, among zeros and ones and other geeks, you finally blossom, transforming into a sunny, bright person. You’ll never be especially social, but your small circle is enough for you.
Traits: Paranoid, Socially Awkward, Cheerful
Aspiration: Computer Whiz
Career: Tech Guru
Other Requirements:
Master Programming and Video Gaming Skills
Reach at least Level Five of the Handiness Skill
Have a club of fellow geeky friends who you get together and game with regularly
Move to San Myshuno and spend your whole life there
Have only two children
Optional: Gain the Techie lifestyle or the Geek trait
Generation Seven: Green - The Eco-Conscious Hippie Green symbolizes nature and vitality but also jealousy. You never quite fit in with your family members. While your parents and sibling all had a similar passion for technology, yours is a bit more nature focused. In fact, you're a bit of a hippie. There's no shame in that! As soon as you're old enough, you leave the smog and traffic of the city behind and move to Evergreen Harbor, hoping to live a greener life, only to come face to face with a community in sore need of a clean up. You've never been one to back down from a challenge so you roll up your sleeves and get to work. Unfortunately, you spend so much time on your projects that you don't have time for love… until one day you notice everyone else seems to have gotten married and had kids, leaving you behind! Will you ever find the love you desire before it's too late?
Traits: Recycle Disciple, Freegan, Jealous.
Aspiration: Master Maker
Career: Freelance Crafter
Other Requirements:
Master Fabricating and Wellness skills
Reach at least Level Five of the Herbalism skill
Clean Up Evergreen Harbor
Live an Eco-Conscious life (Off The Grid lot, tiny home if possible)
Stay single until you are an Adult
Have only one child
Optional: Marry a sim in the Eco Innovator Career
Generation Eight: Blue - The Ocean-Loving Artist Blue symbolizes inspiration and creativity. You’ve always been a bit of a gloomy sim. Maybe that’s because Evergreen Harbor doesn’t have much scope for the imagination. It’s nice that the town is all cleaned up thanks to your parent, but you often find yourself at the docks, staring at the sea. Here, it’s gray and green and not much else. While you find the colors you love in the gems you collect and shape, you find yourself wishing you could see those colors in your beloved ocean. So, as soon as you’re able, you make your way to Sulani. But once there, you discover that the islands are in a sorry state. You’ve learned a thing or two about helping the environment from your parents, so you roll up your sleeves and get to work.
Traits: Creative, Gloomy, Child of the Ocean
Aspiration: Painter Extraordinaire
Career: Conservationist
Other Requirements:
Clean Up Mua Pel’am
Master Painting and Gemology skills
Reach at least Level Five of the Fishing skill
Live In Sulani and Marry a Native
Live on the Beach
Optional: Finish the Sea Shell Collection, become a Mermaid
Generation Nine: Purple - The Self-Absorbed Scientist Purple symbolizes luxury and ambition. You’ve never loved the podunk environment of the Islands. You want more, something grander, something befitting your genius. Something that makes you known. And what better way to do that than making the lives of sims better with your inventions? You wouldn’t call yourself a mad scientist, in fact, you’re very sane. It’s not your fault people don’t appreciate your genius!
Traits: Genius, Self Absorbed, Ambitious
Career: Scientist
Aspiration: Mansion Baron
Other Requirements:
Master Logic and Robotics Skills
Reach at least Level Five of the Rocket Science skill
Max Scientist Career
Marry an Evil Sim
Optional: Have an Alien Baby (doesn’t have to be the heir)
Generation Ten: Black - The Ending Black symbolizes death, darkness, and mystery. People assume that when you dress in all black and talk about death that you’re a bad person. And they would be right. About you, at least. Maybe that comes from having Evil Scientists as parents. Who knows. Whatever it is, you’ve always had a fascination with whatever comes after life. And you’ve always felt Death hovering at your side but maybe he’s not the enemy you thought he was…
Traits: Macabre, Evil, Chased By Death
Aspiration: Ghost Historian
Career: Reaper
Other Requirements:
Master Thanatology, Medium, and Writing Skills
Live in a Haunted House for Seven Days
Write Horror Novels in your free time
Have a baby with GrimDie Young and Become an Evil Ghost
Optional: finish the Tarot Card Collection
I hope you all enjoy playing this challenge! Feel free to tag me if you do and please have fun!
XOXO, Bananzer

ULTIMATE Realistic Populated World Roleplay Mods | The Sims 3 | Guide and Tutorial
What's up everyone! Welcome back to my channel, I am super excited to give you guys this tutorial, I've been wanting to make it for awhile! I'm going to offer some alternative and lighter weight techniques on how you can populate your sims 3 world with a small combination of mods and households. I'm also going to show you how to tweak your ini files and how to actually create the lots in your world to simulate the best experience. Let's jump straight into the video because I am so excited to show you!
youtube
Ini Tweaks:
So the first thing you want to do is open your graphics rules ini file in your bin folder. You won't have to scroll or search , the cpu settings will be there as soon as you open the notepad file, change all of those numbers to 4. What this does is massively improves how the sims 3 engine allocates resources in your game. This alone will start sending more sims to more community lots naturally, without any mods. However, we are going to add some extra mods on top of this to help sims make more logical decisions on which lots they will visit, as well as insure that every lot a sim in your active household visits will autonomously send available sims there.
Before we get into the mods I need to explain two very important things to you first.
Community Lots and Households:
These are very important factors when you want to go about creating a more lively world. Contrary to old beliefs, you don't need over 50+ households to populate your worlds. And the smaller the world is, the less sims you'll actually need to fill it.
You also do not need every single community lot available to you in every world, either. In fact, the more optimized your community lots are in the world, the more likely sims will visit them on their own. I will explain this further in depth.
Let's start with community lots:
For example, if you have 3 gym lots in your world, sims will get very confused on which gym to visit. They won't just pick the gym closest to them, and the decision might be so taxing on their little minds they will more than likely choose to not go to any of the gyms altogether.
So if you want to see a more active Gym lot, only regulate this to one gym lot in your world. This may not have been the perfect example as most of you will already have one gym lot in your world, but then you should also notice that it's the easiest lot for the sims 3 engine to fill up. Because it's only one decision the townie sims have to make on where and how to visit this lot.
So for the bars and clubs in your world, you want to regulate this to one of each, and you could probably fit in a second one if you have the NPC's to fill it. Remember that the engine can't send sims to fill the lots if there aren't enough sims to fill it. You also have to factor in if those sims have children and their work hours as well.
So, I typically will make 2 dive bars, one will be a low end hole in the wall, and another will be on the whole other side of town in a completeley different theme or style, I try to incorporate new activites that you can't find on the other lot, so a pool table, karaoke machines, the bull rider, etc. I can get away with 2 dive bars because I use this fixed MSC mod, this mod fixes the EA LN oversight that didn't send townies to these lots very well, it adds a script that will automatically invite sims to these lots when your sim goes to them. So I don't have to worry too much about how many sims are available, as the mod does this for me and invites sims who are free without me having to do anything. The fixed MSC mod also applies to all of the LN lots, btw. And the reason why I keep emphasizing "Fixed" is because someone fixed the travel crash and error code 12 issue that was on the older builds.
As far as an exclusive lounge and dance club, I only make 1 of each. This gives me 3-4 options respectively to have an authentic bar hopping experience in my world. As I love doing this on my sims fun and wild night outs.
So when it comes to all of the other community lots, you already know to have one of each. The only other tip I can offer is that you don't want to put too many functional objects on these lots. As again, this could result in overloading a sims decision making process. The lot and sims become way more optimized when you give them less to do actually. This means you can create themed lots for very specific occasions. For example, when I downloaded a casino lot for my simler90 series, the lot had a ton of the gambling store objects, including a bunch of random objects that wouldn't neccassarily fit into this lot, which resulted in sims standing around a lot more and choosing to sit down instead. When I lowered the amount of functional objects, you begin to see sims gambling more as they now had a clearer reasoning path to decide on what objects to use. This resulted in the lot overall feeling and acting much more realistic, as I would enter the lot and see sims already gambling on it; acting like a real casino.
This is how I was able to understand the sims 3 engine and AI a lot better. We used to make 64 by 64 lots with a bunch of stuff and wonder why it was so laggy, empty, and when sims did get there they weren't really doing anything. You have to optimize lots to get a better aesthetic and gameplay experience.
A coffee shop should only have the ability to buy coffee and free space to sit and chat or use a laptop. This will force sims on this lot to just buy coffee and talk with sims while sitting down. So this lot will look and feel like an actual coffee shop.
So as a basic overview for the lots:
You now know to limit the amount of community lots actually available to all the sims in your world. This makes for a much more immersive experience overall, as sims will naturally populate these lots a lot more when given a reasonable amount of options to visit them.
You now know to limit the amount of functional objects on these lots so that when sims do decide to come to these lots, they will act in a much more realistic way on these lots resulting in a more immersive and roleplay experience.
So now if you are a builder, or just some who likes to remap your world to have a better gameplay experience, consider these steps above. Since you now know that you don't have to add every kind of community lot to get a more active experience, and in fact, this actually hurts the goal you're trying to achieve, remapping the world becomes less stressful and more strategic.
For example, if I have a fish village kind of world, this allows me to add new unique lots specifically for this world that would make more sense. I can send sims to a savvier seller fish market, this is functional, sims can come here and buy all kinds of fish. I can make a cozy cottage core type of wedding venue and winery, this could fit into this world. I could make a small camping lot that can only be reached through a hiking trail on foot, this could fit into this theme. When I think of a fish village I think about family play, so I could add a unique arcade, daycare, and adorable festival lot, where you could see some younger sims running around more frequently. I could make an old town themed pub as a dive bar. I would really only need one of these in this world, so it would be very active, especially at night. I could add an underground rave scene and give it the dance club community lot type, this could signal a small rebellion of these traditional fishery values in the village, and still be quite active, since there would be only 2 "party" lots for sims in this world to visit.
And etc, make the lots fit for your world, and limit the access to how many types of community lots there will be. This ensures more time spent on detail without having to worry about how full these lots would get, as you know they will be very full using this method.
As a final note, you also want to consider opening up your rabbit holes. While, you won't have to make them functional with zerbu's uc mod, you can make these lots functional using other techniques without having to sacrifice less activity. So for example, opening up the diner and bistro RH, allows me two external dining options for my sims. The diner could be a mcdonalds, and the bistro could be a benihana's. I typically roleplay this, like the diner rh being a nice chill hangout and eatery, and the bistro being a much more wealthier upscale place, I use the consort dress code mod, so you can only be in formal attire here, or you could combine this lot with an exclusive lounge and get play out of both types of lots on one optimized lot. Adding Ani's business as unusual set, a piano which will auto assign a pianist, some pretty ball room floors and deco, and you've got a perfect date night or mobster family dinner. Depends on your play style. Because there are 2 of these, the engine will send sims to these lots because it has the RH on them, and when sims get there they will use the menu's to sit down on there own and begin ordering.
So now let's talk about Households.
I made a pretty extensive guide about this on tumblr, which I will link. But as a basic overview, I figured out a couple years ago that you don't actually need a lot of sims in a world to make the world feel populated. However, if you do add a lot of sims, there are ways you can go about it, which isn't as taxing on the sims 3 engine. As you may have noticed, having a lot of sims in your world increases lag and freezing, this is because when you hit the world's limit of townies, you'll get a lot of routing errors (which cause the freezing), with too many community lot options they get confused on where to go change their mind half way, go somewhere else, too many objects on that lot, so an ai freeze when trying to decide what to do. This overall results in a chaotic and laggy experience.
In general, I like adding townies I will actually care about, but this number of households needs to be manageable. So I make around 10-12 official townie households in my world, with a lot of detail on their cas and homes. I decorated their homes in the same way I would mine, because I'm more than likely to actually visit these sims in their homes. This means I can remove all the other houses in my world, because I don't want SP to fill these homes with more sims I don't care for, and will add more strain on the engine anyway. This also leaves more room to configure where I'll be placing my optimized community lots. Don't worry, when I want to world to look like it's more populated than it really is, I add deco buildings, homes, and sims.
Then I add, NPC households. This is an interesting and amazing method because of how it works. I make a very basic home, usually in a basement, with 8 beds, 1 bathroom and 1 kitchen. Just the basics, no cc or detail or decor. Then I add 8 sims. This could be single men/women, teens, children, cashiers, robots, elves, etc.
This is how I can begin to actually populate my world with very little strain on the resources in the sims 3 engine. You see, when sims don't have any way to entertain themselves, or advance their skills, or fulfill their wishes, they are pushed more than ever to LEAVE the home to achieve this. This means you'll see 8 sims from each NPC household more than likely OUTSIDE than sitting in their homes. The engine seems to spend a lot more resources on maintaining the townies when they are in their homes more than when they are visiting a community lot. I noticed this when I had a lot of townies in their homes, without any of these mods or ini tweaks, I had a significant lag because the engine was micro managing all of those sims in their individual homes. This removes so much strain on the engine, when all it has to do is force the sims to leave their homes, as also mentioned before, the engine spends less time on extending resources to them on community lots vs when they are in their homes.
So esentially, what I've done here, is given my engine a huge break, allowing it to allocate ram and resources much more effectively and much quicker, while at the same time introducing more sims into the world without the engine thinking this = more strain.
The third and even less engine intensive technique I use is, Arsil's custom role generator mod. This allows me to add any kind of sims I want, that the engine doesn't actually have to control or allocate, as this mod is a script and sims from this script are seen as bin sims/service sims. They simply disappear back into an invisible bin until their shift starts. So if I want to add regular customers to my Benihannah's without worrying about the strain on my engine I can achieve this effortlessly. However, I use this method on lots that aren't seeing a lot of activity. Keep in mind, everyone builds their worlds differently, and there are many factors to consider why a sim may not be as interested in one community lot as others, while this is mostly self explanatory sometimes, this isn't as cut and dry. So, for example, I notice that unless my sims actually visit the beach lots in my worlds, there won't be a lot of sims on it. Sometimes, there will be one or 2 sims, but in general, it doesn't see a lot of action. So I set a seasonal lot marker on the lot, and then proceed to add 4-6 new custom role markers (I transmogrify them into beach deco items, to blend in), I set this up for the summer time, as this would make the most sense for more sims to visit. And then I add a bunch of deco beach sims to the lot on top of that. That way when my sims visit the beach, it will already have 4-6 sims on it, but it will look like 20 sims are there, and the engine will probably send 5-8 more sims which will result in a very active lot everytime I visit.
This is how you can utilize the arsil technique to gain more popularity on lots.
Which leads to my next point, consider what is actually about the population that you care about so much? For me, I want the world to look full without the lag. I was able to achieve this with deco sims. The engine doesn't have to do anything at all for this, as deco sims are objects. I want to play on lots where I could take a screen shot without having to even set up a scene, like for instance making the lot look and feel full. Deco sims are already posed, so all I have to do is move them into place. I have learned how to severely decimate these objects to make them completely playable in the sims 3, so I am going to have a lot of fun converting ts4 deco sims to ts3. This is going to be perfect for my building and roleplaying style.
For me, a townie that I don't care for might as well be a deco sim, the only use I have for them is to decorate the background of my screen shots. That may sound harsh but it's the reality. I make every sim in my world with intention. If I can't see you being an enemy, lover, friend, at some point in my story, then the sim isn't useful to me. And if the sim isn't manning a savvier seller station, or cooking and serving at my benihanna's then what are you even doing here other than taking up resources? I wouldn't even care for the sim to populate my UC lots, because I can just use deco sims for that, too.
Understanding these new household techniques, combined with your new understanding of community lots creates a POWERFUL new experience that's results in smoother/faster gameplay on active and filled community lots.
So in general, you actually want to have more townies than community lots. You can achieve both without lag using my NPC households method, and more strategically themed community lots together. This means all of your community lots will more than likely always be active no matter what your sim is doing in the world.
And now we are going to add mods on top of that.
We already discussed the fixed MSC Mod. So let's move on to the others.
I know most of you were expecting to see the Lot Population mod on this list, but I'm going to tell you exactly why it isn't. The mod teleports sims randomly around my world, the mod promised to send sims to lots they would actually visit, and even according to the season, but I didn't see this result. Instead, sims, no matter what their personality was, were randomly appearing at every lot I paused an looked at. I wouldn't even be sending my sims to this lot, I'd just be looking at the lot, this often resulted in freezing, hiccups, and slight lag. If I had more than one sim in my household out and about and I switched over to other sim, I would see the same sims I just saw across town pop out over there. This broke my immersion by a lot. Not only that, but a lot of these sims would be using objects, with props, and when being teleported it temporarily broke the interaction, which resulted in props and objects floating in mid air, or being unusable, or showing up on other lots where it wouldn't even be possible for those objects and props to show up. This caused routing and script lag in my game by a noticeable amount. I was on a reduced version, and still noticed these issues. I really wanted to like this mod, and if it didn't break my immersion and cause more performance issues, I would otherwise love it. But unfortunately, I had to find some lighter alternatives that handled both of the issues I noticed with this mod.
This leads me to the Get out project, or you could of course just download arsil's script yourself and tweak the settings to your liking. BoringBone's tweaks the settings of Arsil's script and includes his own mods in a few modules to balance out the tweaks he made as well as enhance the overall experience.
These are the modules I downloaded for my mod list: Pedestrians Smart Vehicles
With all of these mods combined, sims are being pushed out and about in the world immediately, consistently, reasonably, while still allowing some sims to stay home. Which is another issue I had with the lot population mod. There were never any sims at home. This caused issues when townies threw parties, and invited me, I would go and no one would be home; so no party. This caused issues when I wanted to visit a friend I made in their homes for story telling and gameplay purposes, because they weren't home to open the door. This caused issues when inviting sims out, going on dates, inviting sims over. They would be randomly selected to teleport to another lot my other sim was on so it would completely break these interactions. The get out script isn't that invasive. It doesn't break these features and interactions, sims aren't being teleported, they are choosing to visit more lots more frequently. If they throw a party, or invite me out, or I invite them out, the EA script function takes back over and allows me to actually see the end of these interactions. On top of that, there wasn't any lag with this mod installed, as sims would be doing what the engine is already coded for them to do, just more of it; visiting community lots. The mod also adds walk abouts like how you'll see in the TS4, which I also combine with Shimrod's townies out on the town, where you'll see double the amount of walkabouts, while also extending a reasonable and light weight function to populate the lots in between.
Combing this with the Supreme AI mod, unlocks the sims AI in very innovative ways, for this particular guide, the supreme ai mod allows sims to make more logical decisions on which community lots to visit based off of their traits. While it's not completely set in stone, and still has a randomized feature which adds more interesting outcomes, now you'll see a lot more athletic sims at the gym, sims with hampers in their home at the laundromat, rebels and part animals at bars, clubs, and arcades, teens and kids at parks, arcades, libraries, the pool, etc. Let alone all of the other changes included in this mod, it has to be recommended for the logical fixes it applies to EA's system of how sims decide to go where.
The last mod I want to recommend here is the nana no shop in RH's. This mod makes it so sims no longer autonomously visit and enter RH lots. If you ever wondered where all your sims were, and you knew they weren't working at the time, they were probably inside of a RH. The game pushes them to sit inside of them for an extended period of time, this is to simulate to the player that the townies are alive and doing their own things. This isn't a problem in an unmodded game, however, when you're like me and open up your RH anyway, this mod would be a perfect enhancer, it still sends sims to my opened RH lots, and RH's in general like to eat outside of a bistro or diner, but it no longer allows them to enter RH's and sit inside of them. This means more sims who are available to visit community lots actually visiting those lots. Townies don't need to go grocery shopping in the RH because they can automatically get their ingredients from the fridge, with whatever recipes they choose to cook. The only reason a townie would need to visit the hospital is if they are giving birth. Unless a sim works at the police department or is going to jail, they don't need to be there, either. And well, you get the point. Any need for a RH for townies will be assigned to their tasks and they will be unable to take it off, this is for what they NEED. When you want to actually see those townies around town instead of sitting in RH's, this mod fixes that issue altogether.
So now I'm going to go in game and show you the kind of results that you can expect by following this guide.
First I will show you the normal populated world, this is what you're used to seeing in game. Then I will show you what it looks like when you optimize your community lots and add my NPC Household method. Let's begin!
Conclusion: As you all saw the massive difference in gameplay, either one still works out much better than the normal EA lot population method. So you can play this in either style. With my NPC household method and more optimized community lots this just promises better performance with populated lots, significantly. You don't have to follow this method, you can just use the guide and mod collection outlined here!
I want to thank you all for joining me , I am so happy I finally got to show you guys how to populate your worlds lag free, I love all of the support I've been getting, you guys are just so awesome! I have more videos coming for you so I'll see you in the next video!

But Daddy I Love Him!: A Disney Princess Legacy Challenge
I didn't really like any version of the Disney Princess Legacy so I decided to do one myself! I tried not to repeat traits, skills... But sometimes I couldn't figure out, sorry! I also included a color scheme based on the princess. You have to complete the aspiration, career and max the skills, unless stated otherwise. I also included some extra goals!
It's not playtested, so I might make changes as I play. I have an edited lifespan that makes Young Adulthood and Adulthood a little bit longer, but Teenagehood and Childhood shorter. My guess is that you could finish the challenge in normal lifespan, but you also can do it in long or with a custom lifespan, or even turn aging off if you want to! Whatever you want to do!
Also, I had to be quite... Creative in some of the princess descriptions, because their personalities are very similar.
Also, there's not really any general rules. Your heir can be any gender you want (Everyone can be a princess!), if you want to cheat, cheat, if you wanna change something, change it!
Generation 1. Snow White 🍎
Packs: Cottage Living, Parenthood
Running away from a terrible family, you find yourself in a tiny cottage in the middle of nowhere. You dedicate yourself to keep it clean and make it a home. A hopeless romantic, you dream of finding your true love and form a beautiful family.

Generation 2. Cinderella 👠
Packs: High School Years, Cats and Dogs, My First Pet Stuff
Your parent instill in you the importance of being a hard-worker, but you can’t help but wish for a better life! As a young adult, you move to your own place and start working in the world of fashion.

Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy
Career: Style Influencer

Generation 3. Aurora 🛏️
Packs: Nifty Knitting, Get Famous, Parenthood, Island Living
Unlike your parent, you don't even have to move a finger to get what you want. Born and raised in a wealthy family, you might be getting a little spoiled. Although some things never change… And naps are still your favorite pastime!
Traits: Lazy, Creative, Generous

Your parents will have nothing to say in the matter.

SimplyLuxx Lepacy Challenge
By SimplySimmys and @luxximscc
We worked very hard on this challenge for almost a year and we’re super excited to finally be sharing this with everyone! We wanted to create a challenge inspired by the Sims 3 Lepacy challenge because we loved it so much and decided to write one ourselves!
Basic Rules for the challenge:
Use cheats mildly (there are certain generations that require you to have to cheat and we understand the sims can be difficult for some so we don’t mind if you cheat a bit)
No money cheats! You can use freerealestate if you’re required to move and can’t afford the home
If you don’t have certain packs, you can skip those generations! ALL GAMEPACK GAMEPLAY IS OPTIONAL!
For an extra challenge, start gen 1 with 0 simoleons
Most important rule of all… it’ll ruin the challenge if you don’t do this… use the tag #SimplyLuxxLepacy to show us how your gameplay is going!

Your life was under a magnifying glass for the world to pick apart and judge. All you wanted was a moment of peace and quiet where no one knew who you were. You grew up enjoying a simple life without the luxuries of utilities as many of your friends did. Kids always bullied you for the way you lived, despite being well off, your clothes were thrifted, your furniture was handmade and your meals were all organic. However, instead of resenting your parents for their peculiar upbringing, you decided to embrace it and take it a little further by living on a farm growing your own food and raising animals on your ranch! (Generation starts as a young adult.)

Have a minimum of 2 children to help out on the farm once they are old enough
Become good friends with 3 different sims who live in your town
GROWING TOGETHER/PARENTHOOD
Generation 12
You were raised to be farm tough, and although that upbringing seemed to shape your siblings into nice responsible Sims, you never really grew up. Your parents always scold you for pulling pranks and being mischievous but you never took anything seriously. As you got older, your parents pressured you to act your age, but you didn’t see that for yourself. You decided you were better off someplace else putting your goofy antics to work in being an up and coming comedian! Where's a better place to start new than a progressive area like San Sequoia where everyone seems to be starting new chapters in life, just like you. But, as time goes on you get married and have a big family, you didn’t realise that you’d end up raising children who turned out to be just like you. (Generation starts as a young adult.)

Master the parenting and comedy skills
Complete the super parent aspiration
Reach level 10 of the entertainer career (comedy branch)

Must have 5 children
Achieve 10 different milestones with each child throughout their adolescents
Attend the wedding of your first child and be there when your first grandchild is born
Have a great relationship with your grandchild until your death
OPTIONAL: SUPERNATURAL
Generation 13
Generations of your family have come and gone. You've collected money, trophies, and memories and with that have created a great dynasty but a darkness has been growing this past few hundred years and now it has caught up to your family, it has caught up to… you. You're now a supernatural being and have to come to terms with your new lifestyle, or do you? (Generation starts as a young adult.)
Become a Werewolf, Vampire or Spellcaster
Must complete one branch of supernatural skills
Create a coven or pack of your supernatural
Make enemies with rivals leader (Vampires vs Werewolves Vampires vs Spellcasters)
If you are a spellcaster befriend werewolves and vice versa
Depending of your supernatural ability, complete the required skill (Vampire/Werewolf Lore, Spellbook)
Don’t have any children, your family is your coven or pack
Become the master of your supernatural ability (Master Vampire, Virtuoso, or Apex)
After mastering your skills, pick an heir to takeover for you and train them
Once you have trained a successful heir, you must sacrifice yourself as you are no longer needed (If you are a vampire, step into the sun. If you are a spellcaster, overload your magic, if you are a werewolf use the telescope until the meteor comes for you)
Yay! You completed the challenge, I'm so proud of you! Use the #SimplyLuxxLepacy to share your experience with us! Depending on new release of expansion and game packs, more generations will be added in the future.

Hi guys! I want to talk about a minor problem I have with Amphibia and how they could've been done better. I will not be talking about any of the big problems that people have already complained about, like Sasha and Marcy's lack of screentime, their character arcs, parents, nobody talking about Marcy after "True Colors", yada yada yada, because we don't need another post like that, and I want to keep this overdue rant as short as possible. This is based on my personal opinions along with a few others, but feel free to disagree with me if you want. But with further, let us begin...
Anne almost always gets way too easily forgiven for f*cking up.
Okay! This one may be a hot take because I have never seen another person complain about this. But this has been eating me away for MONTHS, and if no one else is going to say it, then I will. While this occasionally extends to some other characters depending on the episode. The one I want to talk about most is Anne. Now, at the start of the series, Anne was pretty much a jerk with a heart of gold. She was selfish, bratty, lazy, and irresponsible, but she did learn from the mistakes that she made and became a true hero by the end of the series. While some of these flaws and mistakes are not worth talking about, there are still others that are actually worse than what the show's narrative portrays them to be.
They may not be as bad as leading a toad army to invade the capital city, burying the only thing that could get Anne home, or sending your friends to another world on purpose. Anne has still made some pretty questionable decisions, even to the point where they often cross the line.
Here's a list of some of the worst things Anne Boonchuy has ever done from Season 1 and 2:
Breaking Hop Pop's favorite cane that also happens to be a keepsake of his father and grandfather all while making fun of him.
Manipulating Sprig into taking Bessie the family Snail on a Joyride without reading. Which is like someone taking a car out for a spin without a driver's permit.
Forcing Sprig to marry Maddie despite his obvious discomfort for Pizza Dough and later forces him to date Ivy while he's still engaged to Maddie.
Faking being sick to get out of farm duty, which led the Plantars getting sick themselves and even thought they were all going to die from red leg.
Slacking off while she was supposed to be protecting the frozen townsfolk, while aware of what happens to one of them while they're frozen. Which, of course, led to Polly almost getting eaten by a giant weasel.
Causes massive property damage with Polly while on the streets of Newtopia, and later breaks into Newtopia University in hopes of finding a rad college party. The second one was Polly's idea, but Anne had no problem going along with it.
A team effort along with her frog family. Sending a giant chicken to attack Wartwood. Which BTW can create tornadoes, breathe fire, and even turned their loved ones into stone, all because they forgot to buy everyone gifts. Sure, Anne was against the idea, but she still went along with it.
What do characters usually respond with when Anne admits her mess ups?! "It's okay! You're good! What you did was serious, but it doesn't matter that we almost died, as long as you learned your lesson."
Though Anne still at least got a lot better, as the worst things she's done in Season 3 were covering up some major plot points from her parents, robbing a museum to get a clue on how to find a way back to Amphibia, and tricking Blair the Balloonist into flying a hot air balloon. Though, the first one is still a little f*cked up, but she did have selfless reasons for doing these, and she came clean for 2/3 of these.
But still, 90% of this show is just a lighthearted slice of life cartoon, but when it shifts to its dark story driven and plot twisting side, this is where the narrative (and by some extent Anne herself) gets pretty hypocritical. It's pretty much when Anne messes up and lies to other characters. It's a simple error in judgment. But when other main characters such as Sasha, Marcy, and even Hop Pop do the same to her, first they gotta face hell for it, and then they get their redemption arc.
Yes! They did do some serious sh*t, and Anne had a right to be mad at them. But it seems that other characters are just not allowed to even stay mad at Anne when she does pretty similar sh*t. I mean, yes, she does try to make up for it, and yes, she admits what she's done most of the time, and eventually, she does become a better person from them. But so have Hop Pop, Sasha, and Marcy. But again, they didn't get the protagonists treatment. They got hurt and thrown around like ragdolls because of one or two big mistakes, and even that wasn't enough.
While Anne sometimes faces some consequences for her actions, like breaking Hop Pop's heirloom cane with HP giving her dish duty for a month (Cmon man! You should've given her way more than that!), gets banned from an arcade because she threatened to eat newt kids for cutting in line (which is not important), and most importantly, gets stranded in Amphibia after being peer pressured by her friends to shoplift it, all on her 13th birthday. Which I guess was enough for karma itself to feel so bad for her that she will hardly ever worry about facing any lasting consequences for her misdeeds ever again. While karma beats the cr*p out of others who would dare lie and betray our precious protagonists, even when they have sympathetic reasons for doing so.
Speaking of, this leads to me to clarify something that some fans have misinterpreted since the beginning of the series. The flashback scene in the second episode, "Best Fronds," was intended to show where Anne's distorted views on friendship and some of her toxic traits come from. Not to justify every single bad decision Anne has ever made, like what some fans think.
While I'm not gonna say that Anne was just as bad as Sasha before Amphibia, as it does show that Anne had her own personal flaws that she had to get through without depending on her friends. Who were more enabling her flaws than causing them.
However, while the show does try to show that Anne wasn't exactly much better in their friend dynamic than they were. For the reasons I mentioned earlier, it instead paints Anne as the least toxic one or not being toxic at all. With them only making a handful of moments that show that even after their betrayals, Anne still isn't much better than them. But the usual wacky slice of life narrative in her character development episodes downplays the severity of her actions, with Anne only just getting an emotional lesson after nearly getting everyone killed, and some of the said lessons being brought up in a few episodes to test her character or as examples to show others how much she has grown.
Now, I'm going to do some comparisons between Amphibia and The Owl House. While there are several things that Amphibia did better than TOH and about an equal amount of things TOH did better than Amphibia. One of those things that The Owl House did better than Amphibia was the writers treating each and every character fairly. The characters make mistakes and learn from them without the narrative downplaying the seriousness of their mistakes, and it isn't always "Okay! You're forgiven! What you did was serious, but it doesn't matter that we almost died. You learned your lesson, and that's what matters." While it doesn't give other characters the short end of the forgiveness stick for doing similar sh*t. With that, it also makes the character arcs a little bit better, in my opinion.
However, I'm not saying that Anne's character development was bad or that Matt Braly is treating Anne like how some see Alex Hirsch did with Mabel. The show did alright with changing a bratty teenager with flawed views of friendship into a true and selfless hero. All of what I described seems to what TV Tropes would call "Protagonist Centered Morality," and if I'm being honest, but because of that reason, I don't find Anne to be the most appealing character to me. I'm sorry! I know that a lot of you love her, and she's the second most popular character in the show; with the first being Marcy (my favorite), but I don't even dislike her either. I just feel that the narrative could've done better in treating the characters more fairly, like how TOH did with their characters. I really want to like Anne more than I do now, but for what I described, it makes it kinda hard for me to.
That's it for my opinions on this. This was longer than I thought, so if you read it this far or read it at all. You either think that I have a point and should do more of this or my analysis stinks, and I should never speak my dumb mind again. I'll probably see how this goes either way. If anybody else here still cares about this show.

Ocelli’s TMAlev Masterpost
Buckle in, dolls, it’s about to be a long one. Two disclaimers before we hop into this! If you have not read my Multi-Avatar System, the Eye’s Great Chain of Being, and Spiders for the Web Avatars, pause your reading of this and read those first! Those will be referenced heavily and are crucial to your understanding of how the boys function in this particular AU. Additionally, if you are not finished with TMA or through Intermezzo in Malevolent, this will be EXTREMELY SPOILER HEAVY for you. Proceed with caution <3 Arthur Lester
Avatar Alignment: The Eye – Complete/Infinite/Record AKA a “Triple” – THE AMBASSADOR Marked: By literally all of them, have you listened to the podcast?? /j Explanation: Ok, ok. I have gone round and round with people about the whole ‘Eye’ thing in relation to Arthur in the past but lemme just reiterate again here. The thing that cut Melanie off from The Eye in TMA was the complete destruction of her eyes. They were entirely gouged out. Arthur’s eyes are still entirely functional, but he is prevented from seeing due to John’s interference. Therefore, Arthur is still fully capable of falling to The Eye and I believe he does. I’ve seen a lot of Dark!Arthur due to the fact that he’s blind and it’s definitely a really cool take! I just don’t see him necessarily feeding in the way that the Dark reads. Now! Could there be an argument made for Cooperative Eye/Dark!Arthur flavored in the way of trying to find pull answers from things in “the dark”? Hidden discoveries and information that doesn’t want to be pulled from? Absolutely. Additionally, I do also really like Web!Arthur. I feel like that fits him as well with the amount of subtle manipulation that he does; however, I flavor this more as John’s influences on Arthur which bleed into how Arthur’s Eye feeding functions (and vice versa). So, how exactly does Arthur’s Eye things work? First and foremost, I believe that when Arthur falls to The Eye, his ability to compel skyrockets. There are a lot of little moments peppered throughout the podcast but especially in season four where Arthur has these really compulsion flavored moments that have a sort of Web twist to them from John. Secondly, Arthur now has the ability to see through other people’s eyes in the absence of John from his mind (yes, John has his own body in this). Arthur is still blind himself but is able to see through others’ eyes if they are within his sightline, temporarily imposing his blindness on them while he navigates in a third person view. Oh, how the tables turn! Lastly, Arthur is seated at one of the top links of the chain as THE AMBASSADOR settled below THE ARCHIVIST (Jonathan Sims) and above THE BROADCAST (Cecil Gershwin Palmer). Why the title? Well, he’s the Eye’s little representative from another universe! The main one at least and is marked by enough to hold special status. Additionally, Arthur’s placement on the chain means that he is graced with a Pupil, a low level Eye avatar that holds its avatarhood mainly for servitude. Arthur is a special little guy and gets TWO! Who are those two, you might ask? No other than Noel and Oscar. I’ll get into their specifics under their names but their fall to The Eye was entirely Arthur’s fault and was their fall to The Web being entirely John’s fault. I don’t have the specifics of this yet but the two are now bonded to Arthur and John for better or for worse. Arthur is able to tap into the sight of one of each of their eyes at any time, no matter the distance (two Pupils for two different eyes? Eh? EH? I think I’m clever sometimes-). This also means that Arthur can tap into the benefits when either one of them are feeding using The Eye and he can also help them do so as well.
John Doe Avatar Alignment: The Web Marked: The Spiral + The End (KiY), The Dark + The Vast (The Dark World), The Eye (Arthur) Explanation: I think it’s generally agreed upon that John is Web. However, if you see other relations with John, please send them! I love seeing different interpretations! John’s relation to the Web is fairly self-explanatory in the context of Malevolent. He is slowly taking over parts of his host’s body as well as being his guide throughout… well, everything. He quite literally controls Arthur’s sight. However, I think it’s important to add that John seems to fear the loss of control in return. Generally, just think back to season four and his anger (out of fear) of feeling like a passenger while Arthur got help from outside sources. John is incredibly manipulative, and his lies and string pulling are clear in his nudges to get Arthur to the Grey Stone. On the brighter side of things, John Doe is also resistive towards a “fate” so to speak. His separation from the King in Yellow had led him to becoming more human, so much so that The King couldn’t get him to fit back anymore. Generally, Web Avatars don’t have others that are tied to them like Eye Avatars do but John is a bit of special case. Like Arthur, Noel and Oscar are bound to John through their falls to The Web being entirely John’s fault. I need to think out what this bond to John specifically does (like stated above for Arthur) but for now know that John has those two under his umbrella as well. Let’s talk about some marks now! The most obvious of these the The Eye through his ties to Arthur. I do think that Arthur’s Eye alignment has also influenced the way that John connects to The Web. This is certainly clear in how John uses it while still inside Arthur. Admittedly, I need to do a bit more work on my end about how he feeds in his own body. John also is marked by The Spiral and The End from the King in Yellow! Why? Well, the Spiral is all about madness and not being able to trust your own mind and thoughts. That is exactly what the King in Yellow does! The End may not be as clear at least in Malevolent. However, there is a lovely video by the Tale Foundry that talks about The King in Yellow as a metaphorical corpse of god and heaven which I just had to include in one form or another. John is also marked by The End in part of the Dark World as is where all of the dead things from other worlds are discarded. John is also marked by the Dark and the Vast by the Dark World. The Dark is due to…well…I mean it’s in the name- The Vast is due to the fact that if this Dark World contains the dead and forgotten things from other worlds or possibly dead worlds themselves, then the plane has got to be massive. Most likely further than the eye can see.
Father Oscar Pilon-Garcia
Avatar Alignment: Dominant- The Corruption, Co-Passive- The Web/The Eye - Pupil – THE SAINT
Marked: The Slaughter (Father McKenna)
Explanation: Oh, Oscar… let’s get into it. Firstly, why is Oscar’s dominant fear The Corruption? It would have been the only fear that he fell to if it weren’t for Arthur and John <3. Why? I will direct your attention to Part 37 “The Farm” in which Oscar is 100% most assuredly about to be taken over by some parasitic worm if his arm wasn’t severed. This gets pulled on heavily by the other Fears when Oscar feeds, but we’ll get into that in a sec.
I’ve established before that Oscar’s fall to The Eye and The Web were the fault of Arthur and John. He was NOT supposed to originally fall to those Fears, if any. But he did as his fall was able to pull on just enough inclination in those areas. Oscar is intelligent! We’ve seen this in how he deduced McKenna’s true intentions when he was younger and his investigative assistance to Arthur and John during everything with Scratch. So, there are some Eye inclinations to be pulled on. Now, Oscar is also fairly Web flavored. In general, we’ve seen that The Web loves to prey on religion and I think she has a particular drive towards priests(*motions to Father Edwin Burroughs in TMA* *motions to Father John Ward in Faith: The Unholy Trinity*). We’ll discuss the positives of this first. Like John, Oscar really had a particular fate weighed out for him that he rejected. He was 100% set up to be the violent, unwanted child to turn away from faith the moment he got out of the orphanage and on his own. However, he didn’t. He wasn’t adopted (I suppose due to the violence?) but went through process of holy orders and ordination in order to do his small part in balancing out the evil people that plague the magisterium and to specifically help others through service. Now, to the bad. Oscar truly, truly felt as though his calling and his purpose was Arthur. He gave up everything for Arthur. Finally, it felt like he could see the pieces fall into place as though all of the everything he went through had a direction. He was strung along and then that string was cut. Very abruptly with very little explanation. He doesn’t know the context for that abandonment but what he does know is the fact that he finally felt like his life meant something substantial and that was discarded. He was used. A pawn. A puppet. (Are we crying yet?).
I debated on a few options for Oscar’s title before settling on THE SAINT as it separates it enough from the titles of Priest or Father but brings in a comparison of Saints supposed to being these “exemplars of godliness” and the Fears manipulating Oscar’s ways of being a faithful servant to the people into feeding opportunities.
Speaking of which, how does Oscar feed with all this mess? Firstly, Oscar absolutely abhors feeding. This poor babe will attempt to starve himself in order to spare someone else the trouble. But he must somehow. Now, as a Catholic, I think the idea of Confessional Booth feeding is quite appealing in this case. It’s truly perfect for him. This Sacrament is supposed to be entirely confidential: just between the confessor, the priest, and God. And the Fears entirely twist it. The Eye pries into a person’s worst acts, The Web manipulates what is normally safe situation and a person’s trust in this church authority, and The Corruption worms its way into the situation in the form of the religious ideology of Sin being a stain, a plague on the divine human soul. Oh HO! It’s awful. I love it.
Charlie Dowd Noel Finley
Avatar Alignment: Tri-Cooperative – The Spiral/The Web/The Eye – Pupil – THE INVESTIGATOR
Marked: The Buried (Prison Pits)
Explanation: I have seen SO many takes for Noel’s avatarship and they are so interesting!! Stranger!Noel, Vast!Noel, Dark!Noel! All very interesting options that I can see exactly where everyone gets these from. So, why the three I settled on?
(Y’all are going to throw me to the dogs for this)
Generally, when you see a tri-avatar, your automatic assumption is that they’re going to be a relatively high powered one due to their multiple associations. This is the exact opposite case with Noel. His three Fears are fully cooperative due to the fact that they represent his ties to three other Avatars- Arthur, John… and the King in Yellow. Noel has the sort of opposite case than Oscar did that he is very Eye inclined but much less inclined towards the Web. If you take a look at Noel’s previous occupations (i.e police, private eye, detective, and back to private eye in this au’s case) they are VERY Eye heavy. The Web mostly comes out in the trickery that we see Noel pulling off especially in the cases of his expedition in Egypt and his taking on of his best friend’s persona in order to protect himself. The Spiral is quite fun to play around with when it comes to Noel, though. Clearly, this man has gone through enough madness and mind games when it comes to the King in Yellow trying to pull information out of him about the whereabouts of John’s book. He quite literally cannot trust his own mind during his entire time in the Dreamlands. Then you have this odd dynamic after he gets out of the Dreamlands. He takes on not just the “name” of his best friend but specifically the “persona” of his best friend. Why is this distinction important? We assume that, on the surface, the King in Yellow was impersonating Charlie when he was “Adam Fry” in Part 5 “The Gift”. However, Charlie states that he is familiar with Adam Fry because he used “his best friend’s voice” in doing so. So, Adam Fry continues to be an impersonation of Noel, it’s just that, you guessed it, Charlie is also impersonating Noel. However, it’s become so ingrained in his personality over his time the Dreamlands and his two years in New York that he can’t separate the impersonation from his own personality. That’s why we don’t see him drop it at all, not even slightly, in front of Arthur and John. So, not only do you have Noel losing bits of his sanity in the Dreamlands, but you also have him losing a sense of himself outside of the Dreamlands in which he and his best friend’s personality become melded together.
As for marks, I knew that he would have an additional mark from the Prison Pits themselves aside from the overall Spiral. It’s difficult to put a specific fear to it when I don’t have detailed referenced, but I do believe the confinement of it all, the small cells, and the earthy aesthetic to them lends itself to The Buried.
Why the title of THE INVESTIGATOR. I’m sure you may be thinking, “Um, Ocelli. It’s ‘Detective’ Noel. It should be Detective” and I hear you. However, remember we have now placed the boys in the TMA universe in which I do wholeheartedly believe in the “Basira would’ve been an Eye Avatar if things went slightly differently.” Elias consistently calls her “Detective” and Eye Avatars generally call others by their title if formalities haven’t been dropped. So, unfortunately, that title is taken! Additionally, I think that Investigator covers more of Noel’s jobs as well! Just be grateful that I didn’t go with the titles of Prisoner or Captive that were rolling around for a bit in the mind.
I need to flesh out a bit more of Noel’s feeding specifically, but I’ll give you the small ideas I do have! Noel’s feeding is very interrogation based. I imagine this fully enclosed room that he visually imposes on the other person. It’s just a very dark concrete room, a table, two chairs, and a swinging overhead lamp. It’s entirely in black and white like a film noir except for Noel’s two piercing glowing yellow eyes fixated directly on the person. He asks all of the questions that the other person desperately does not want to answer all while this swinging lamp passes over the table before swinging away and basking the two in darkness once more. Now, while Noel uses the Eye and the Web to feed himself, the Spiral continues to feed off Noel himself, pulling on his identity crisis and sending him into these sleepwalking visions of the Dreamlands. It twists his relationship with them, making him think that that’s where he belongs. And as a fun little treat, it messes with his language as well. In these Spiral induced states, Noel can only speak in Carcosan (is that a thing? It probably isn’t but it is now!) meaning that generally John is the only one that can get Noel back to his senses.
Dennis “The Butcher” Collins
Avatar Alignment: Cooperative-The Hunt/The Slaughter
Marked: N/A
Explanation: Yep, the Butcher is in this too because I love he <3 and this is me and my friend’s self-indulgent “they live” au! The fact that we felled them to horrible fears in the process is entirely beside the point. I feel like the Butcher is the most obvious of these when it comes to fear choices. Like John, I don’t think there’s much debate on which ones he could be. Throughout the majority of season four, he quite literally uses like calling hunting a “devotion” and the love that he has for it. Additionally, Dennis seems to enjoy not only the hunting aspect of it but the killing as well. He likes the blood. He likes the gore. He is a renown serial killer due to this. Also the clear music themes associated with The Slaughter in TMA are also present with Dennis singing as he kills and the constant song playing in his mind. This is also why I think he is a fully cooperative dual avatar because the Hunt and the Slaughter are both fully used each time that he feeds. As for feeding, I don’t think he changes much! I’m sorry his is so short but ah… yeah, that’s all I have-
Nyarlathotep Kayne
Avatar Alignment: Dominant- Slaughter, Tri-Passive- The Web/The Eye/The Spiral – THE ENTROPY KAYNE :]
Marked: N/A
Explanation: Kayne, Kayne, Kayne… Kayne is so fun to play around with. Oh my gosh. He messes with literally everything. Let’s get into it. Kayne’s dominant fear as the Slaughter is VERY clear. This man is covered in blood constantly, he killed every other version of himself, he kills other people in extremely gruesome ways and relishes in every bit of it. So, yes, Slaughter is dominant here and was the fear used to pick up the rest of the ones he has. Kayne is also very Web. He is playing chess while everyone is playing checkers. He knows exactly know to nudge his little pawns into place to get them exactly where he needs them. A master manipulator in all forms. He killed all versions of himself in order to be able to “play all the keys.” I think Kayne also has his Eye moments. Due to the fact that he can dance across the keys of the different universes, he has a lot of information. He knows what to tease out of people to get them do what he needs to. I also think this is why his inability to see the Black Stone grates against him so much. Because he needs it but he CAN’T see it. He can see all of this other stuff but not this one. thing. he. needs. Oh! How frustrating!! Kayne is also Spiral. He’s not dominantly Spiral but just listen to him, come on. Spiral drips off of his entire everything. With the amount of mental strife he’s caused to so many people and his love of chaos, Spiral is definitely there as well.
Due to the fact that Kayne is a preexisting Great Old One and a really powerful one at that, he is able to manipulate a lot of the systems the Fears have set in place for his own gain. The most egregious one is his manipulation of The Eye’s chain. Firstly, he’s gouged his title out, figuratively, to simply be his own name. No one else gets to name him, thank you <3. It’s HIS job to pass out the nicknames! Silly Eye… Additionally, with just how high Kayne is on the chain, he also gets a Pupil. Who’s his Pupil? Well, no other than our precious little English rose, Artie! “But! Ocelli! You said that Arthur is Triple! He’s high up there! He even has his own Pupils! How in the world is he a Pupil?” See, the silly thing about Kayne is that he’s forming a chain of his own using The Eye’s Great Chain of Being to bond Arthur to himself, and thus also bonding Arthur’s Pupils to himself as well. Didya notice that the Fears that Kayne is tied to is also the Fears that the other boys are too? That isn’t a mistake <3. As a fun little added bonus, Kayne also totally changed what spiders were tied to John and Arthur from The Web to the Sparklemuffin and Bunny Harvestman respectively. I highly recommend looking at pictures of those. They’re wonderful.
Thanking you for giving me your time to read this! I hope you enjoyed it! Please feel free to send in asks about it! This has been bouncing around in my mind since I began listening to Malevolent at the beginning of this year and I’m so happy to finally be able to share it with you <3

This image was discovered by @s1ndle and @simnostalgia. It's a list of icons for "Interests" that EA was originally going to put into The Sims Online, but was unfortunately scrapped. The interests are as follows:
-Adult Entertainment (thank God this one was scrapped because it's too mature for a family MMO)
-Alternative Music
-Alt Lifestyles (in this context it's referring to LGBT relationships, but the phrase "alternative lifestyle" could mean anything)
-Anime (love the Sailor Moon icon!)
-Antiques
-Automobiles
-Beer (an explicit reference to alcohol)
-Board Games
-Books (I can see this interest giving Sims an advantage in building their Logic skill)
-Camping
-Children (I don't think you could even have children in TSO, so what would even be the point of this?)
-Cocktails (missed opportunity to introduce the Mixology skill before The Sims 3 came out)
-Collectables
-Comedy
-Comics
-Cooking (one of the iconic skills in the franchise)
-Costuming
-Creative Expression
-Crime (committing crimes or solving crimes?)
-Disco
-Documentary Film
-Entertainment News
-Excercise
-Film
-Finance
-Fine Art
-Fine Dining
-Flirting

-Goth (wouldn't this count as an alt lifestyle?)
-Hip Hop
-Interior Decorating (ironic since one of the features in the Sims is building and customizing your own homes)
-Jazz music

the lack of open world kneecapped so much potential i can't *belive* we ever let them get away with it. even if we couldn't have fully open worlds because whatever the loading screen in-between lots in the same neighborhood is CRIMINAL.
the worlds are so fucking barren people celebrated having rabit hole cinemas. sorry: a rabit hole cinema that isn't even it's own lot and is only accessible by traveling to a different lot in its neighbourhood.
how is every sims 4 fan not blackpilled irt that game by now
#AND WE DONT HAVE FARIES STILL#i can see a world in which slightly larger neighborhoods are individual open worlds. like theres a downtown neighborhood and you can bar hop#but the actual implementation is so weak#they had to remove the stir crazy moodlet from 3 or everyone would realise how often sims NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE

Ride The Cyclone Sims 4 Legacy Challenge! 🎢💚
Welcome to the RTC Legacy challenge! This idea was created by me and @nischabrainrot a while ago and I think it deserves to be shown to the world! So here it is! :D
You have to be this tall to ride the cyclone (rules):
No cheats, beyond the usual (CAS, build, etc - no money cheats!)
You may alter any generation if you don’t have the pack(s) required and find base game alternatives to goals, but any rules you are capable of doing are compulsory.
All generations must reach level 5 singing, to honour the Saint Cassian choir
Google Doc is here and the generations are listed below!
Generation 1: Noel Gruber Alone on the streets, you've gotta do what it takes to survive. Scavenge, homewreck, take money from rich old men, you do what you have to. You always wanted bad love, but maybe that's not all there is to life?
Aspiration: Serial Romantic
Traits: Romantic, Creative, Bookworm
Career: N/A
Requires: City Living
Rules
Start with 0 simoleons in a small unfurnished apartment (or an empty lot if you prefer)
You cannot be employed, you may make money however you see fit except from a job, options include: finding and selling collectibles, writing books, theft, marrying for money, homewrecking old married men and taking their money, and so on.
You cannot find a “soulmate” or healthy, long-term relationship until you have completed the serial romantic aspiration. If you never complete it, you must die alone.
If you don’t complete the aspiration, you can only have one child, to be your heir (either via science baby or a one-night stand if your sim/the sim you hook up with can get pregnant).
If you do complete the aspiration, fall in love and marry your soulmate, and have as many kids as you want.
Generation 2: Misha Bachynskyi Growing up, you either rotted away in a dingy apartment with your parent, hopping between old dudes’ mansions for quick cash, or flourished in a loving family, your parent the strongest, and most morally questionable person you know. Regardless, your upbringing was weird. Maybe it was the instability, or your parent’s shady background, but a strong, rageful passion within you craves to run away, leave your hometown behind and start something new, a path towards stardom, your name on billboards. Secretly though, there’s a part of you that dreams of falling in love along the way.
Aspiration: Soulmate
Traits: Hot-headed, Materialistic, Romantic
Career: Freelance Musician (Music Production) -Youtuber - Streamer
Requires: Get Famous and High School Years + Get to Work/Dine Out
Rules:
If you grew up in a house, have your bedroom be in the basement.
As a teen, cause trouble at school: pranking, arguments, fights etc. Fight all bullies you see at high school, any time you see bullying at school, beat up the bully.
[Requires Lovestruck or a mod] Find a partner on a dating app.
Join a high school extracurricular activity and befriend at least one of your teammates.
Either: break up with your partner and become high school sweethearts with one of your teammates, or meet and exchange promise rings with the partner you met online. Whichever you choose, you must stay with them forever.
Max the media production skill + 1 performance skill of your choice (Singing Lvl 5 is already compulsory, but you can max that as your added skill, or choose something else like Dancing or Acting)
[Requires Parenthood, optional] Age up to YA with the Argumentative trait (low conflict resolution)
Once you are a young adult, move out of your family home and start your full time career. It is up to you whether you want to live solely off music production, or also become a youtuber/streamer as well, but you can’t join a normal career.
Marry your long-term partner and have 3+ kids, with a significant age gap between them (for example, a new baby towards the very end of adulthood)
[Requires Get to Work/Dine Out] Have your spouse open a cafe/bakery as soon as you get married, and run the shop with your kids.
Generation 3: Constance Blackwood You love your family, more than anything. Living in a big family home with your parents, who are still passionately in love and always have been, and your siblings, who you spent most of your free time growing up playing with and taking care of. You’re your family’s superstar, friend to all, nicest person in town, and one day you’ll take over the family business. But is that really all there is to life?
Aspiration: Big Happy Family
Traits: Good, Foodie, Family Oriented
Career: Running the family business!
Requires: Get to Work/Dine Out
Rules:
Have maxed relationships with all family members.
Max the social skill as a child
Maintain 5+ friendships outside family at all times
[Optional, requires Get Famous/Seasons] Join either Scouts or Drama club as a child and stay until you’re a young adult
Befriend a sim (as a child/teen) with one of the following traits: Self-Assured, Perfectionist, Self-Absorbed, Overachiever or High Maintenance. This sim will be your best friend.
As a teen, run the cafe/bakery after school and on weekends, and bake something every day
Go to every prom [Bonus: always go to prom as friends with your best friend, regardless of potential love interests]
[Requires Parenthood] Age up to YA with the Mediator trait (high conflict resolution)
If your best friend ages up to YA with a positive trait, stay best friends and/or date them. If your best friend ages up to YA with a negative trait, argue and end the friendship.
Max the cooking and baking skills
You must accept any and all invitations to festivals, no matter what, to honour the fall fair
Get married to your chosen partner quickly, ASAP. Move them into your family home as soon as you do - your family wouldn’t want you to move out!
When you age up to Adult, have a midlife crisis and start a new career. If your game gives you a midlife crisis on its own, follow every single request, no exceptions.

Clegan Astronaut AU - Part 4
Masterpost
Author's Note: I promise this fic will get more mission-oriented soon, but the next couple chapters will be very relationship-focused in the lead up to the Artemis 3 launch. I love these two and have a lot of fun writing them, so I hope y'all are okay with that!
--
Nearly everyone loves Gale Cleven. Those who followed the space program before have loved him since he first came on the scene as an astronaut candidate. Those who are only listening in as Artemis ramps up have the chance to fall in love with him now. Tall and handsome, cool and confident yet a little bashful, bright blue eyes, a winning smile, and a southern drawl. And an accomplished Air Force officer to boot.
Even as controversy over his sexuality continues to permeate certain spheres, for much of the world, it’s hard not to love Gale Cleven. Between training sessions, Marge sets him up with interviews and photoshoots, rushing him onto the Artemis scene as fast as he was selected for the mission. He’s tired as all hell, but he puts on a smile and sweet talks the media.
“It’s an honor, you know?” he’ll say when reporters ask him what being selected to Artemis 4 means. “I really believe we can learn a lot about our world, and about the human species, through Artemis. We’ve been working towards this for years, and I’ll do my best by the American people to make them proud.”
“It’s real exciting, the way people are interested in the moon again,” he’ll say, with a cute little half smile, a wonder in his eyes, a confidence to his voice. “I’ve been in love with it since I was a kid. I get to share that with the whole world now.”
“Oh, we’ve got a great crew. Two great crews, on 3 and 4,” he’ll say when he’s asked about NASA’s preparedness for these missions. “We’ll get it done, don’t you worry.”
And when he sounds so sure, so calm, how can you not believe Gale Cleven?
It’s been a long time since NASA has been able to capture the interest of the public so fully, but with the Artemis crews, there is a growing echo of the adoration that surrounded the Apollo astronauts so many years ago. These men and women are budding celebrities, whether they like it or not, and Gale Cleven and John Egan are the face of it.
Since the press conference, everyone tiptoes around the sexuality question. The marriage question. John hasn’t talked to the media since. But if anyone asks Gale about John Egan, no one can miss the undying love in his expression, the way his eyes go soft and his smile becomes just that little bit more genuine.
How can you not root for that?
The days following the Artemis 3 press conference and Gale’s appointment to Artemis 4 are busier than ever, filled with training, media, meetings, and more training. As the back-up commander for Artemis 3, Gale has gone through extensive training already in the Artemis mock-ups, including EVAs, flying, docking, and anything else NASA can throw at him. Now, however, he has a new crew to catch up with, including him as the new mission commander, Sandra as the new lunar module pilot, and Richard Macon and Helen as mission specialists.
He jumps right into the deep end – literally – with the crew. Their first few days training together consist of Orion simulations, excursions on mock lunar terrain while bogged down with EVA suits, and conducting mock zero-G EVAs in the neutral buoyancy tank. This includes donning full EVA gear and taking a deep dive into JSC’s 40-foot deep pool, where they can interact with full scale mock-ups of NASA spacecraft in order to simulate working through EVA activities in zero gravity.
While Gale grapples with performing repairs on the fake Orion hull, using tools through a bulky space glove as he floats around in a 6.2 million gallon tank of water, Bucky and Curt work through one of their final sim days for the Starship lunar lander, combatting scenario after scenario of different ways they can fuck up landing on the moon. While Bucky hops around on fake lunar terrain with a massive oxygen tank on his back, fighting the urge to pretend sword-fight with Curt using their sample collection tools, Gale leads his new crew through flight scenarios in the Orion sim. While Bucky artfully avoids any and all reporters by constantly busying himself with mission prep, Gale speaks transparently with the media about his new Artemis role.
And while Gale turns in for the night after longer-than-ever days, Bucky is still at the space center, pushing himself and his crew to new limits.
–
October 8, 2025
Nassau Bay, TX
With their schedules demanding more of their time, Gale and John have barely had a spare moment together. Gale can hardly remember the last time they actually sat down and ate a meal together. One of them dropping by to see the other at JSC with a cheap cup of coffee doesn’t count. But their wedding is just a few days away, and, at Gale’s insistence, they had agreed to leave work a little early (or, less late than usual) in order to spend a nice evening away from the endless chaos of their exceptionally poor work-life balance.
Gale had finally managed to pull himself away and is now sitting on a stool at the kitchen island. He’s changed out of his work clothes, thankfully swapping the sweaty flight suit for a thin gray sweater and old jeans. He’s fighting the urge to check the time every twenty-three seconds. He is, however, acutely aware of the fact that it’s past 7pm, and Bucky had promised to make it home by 6:30. He sends him a quick text – “Waiting at home. Dinner’s almost ready.” – and decides to grab his laptop and review some mission protocols, answer emails, and anything else he can think of to distract himself.
By 7:30, he’s tapping his fingers nervously on the countertop. He’s called Bucky twice, both times with no answer. Texts went unheeded. Marge hasn’t heard from him. Gale takes the pasta dish he’d made off the warmer and fills two plates with it, covers them, and puts them in the fridge. He sends another text – “Are you okay?” A couple minutes later, another – “What if I told you that I’m naked?”
Nothing. Even for that. He tries to brush off his growing disappointment and worry.
Bucky hasn’t been the same in the days since the press conference. They’d discussed at length how to proceed in the future -- Bucky didn’t like the idea of screening and pre-selecting every single question beforehand because he knew he’d come under fire for censorship or some shit. Gale agreed, knowing he’ll be facing the same things as Artemis 4 prep ramps up. However, they had decided to warn reporters that probing questions about the astronauts’ personal lives will result in them being removed from the premises at the discretion of the astronauts and the public relations officer. All Bucky has to do is give Marge a certain look and security will escort someone away.
Otherwise, he’s avoided all discussion about it. Gale can tell, though, that it’s getting to him more than he wants to admit.
By 7:50, Gale decides to eat without Bucky. He gives Pepper a few pieces of plain pasta to feel less alone. By the time he’s done, he feels officially stood up by his own husband-to-be. He picks up his phone and calls Rosie. “You guys still at JSC?”
“Yeah,” Rosie says. Gale hears a door swing open to the sound of an evening breeze and footsteps on pavement. “Yeah, we uh, we just finished up for the night. We had a hard time with one of the sims. Got it sorted, though.”
“Mmm.” Gale runs a hand through his hair and tries to figure out how he feels about that.
“Everything okay?”
“Yeah,” Gale drawls. “John, well, he said he’d meet me at home tonight for dinner. He’s over an hour late.”
He can imagine Rosie furrowing his brow, looking thoughtfully off to the side. “Oh, he didn’t say.” Gale hums again but doesn’t say anything else. Rosie sighs. “He’s been… off. Since the press conference. Like he has something to prove.”
“Right,” Gale says sadly. “Yeah, I know.”
“Will he talk to you about it?” Rosie asks.
“Hardly.”
“No, me neither.” Both men go silent for a long moment before Rosie says, “I’m sorry Gale. If I’d known I would’ve kicked him out of there faster.”
“Yeah. Thanks Rosie.” Gale clicks the end-call button, and he buries his face in his hands, rubbing hard at his eyes, not sure if he wants to cry and yell or bang something real hard. He does none of it. He just sits alone at the island, feeling like an island himself.
When Pepper, tail wagging, runs to the front door at the sound of the knob turning, it’s nearing 8:30pm. Bucky walks into the dark house. He follows the faint glow of light through the living room and into the kitchen, where he sees his fiancé sitting alone at the island, clicking away at his laptop and pointedly ignoring him.
“Buck?”
Silence.
“Gale?”
Bucky throws his bag down and walks to the other side of the island, sits down on a barstool, and stares at Gale. Gale stares at his laptop. Bucky reaches across and gently pushes the laptop shut. Gale frowns down at it. “When you’re two hours late, you don’t get to decide if I should pay attention to you.”
“You know how it is, Gale.”
Gale nods curtly and tries – fails – to swallow his frustration. “Yeah, John, I know how it is.”
“Great,” Bucky says. He reaches to take Gale’s hand in his, but Gale jerks away. “Why are you so upset then?”
Gale scoffs, still avoiding eye contact. His words are careful and deliberate. “I know how it is better than anyone. But that’s the point, John. We’ve both known how it is for months. That’s why we agreed to make today different. Just today. That’s all I fucking asked for. And you couldn’t even give me that.”
“We had to-“
“I don’t care what you think you had to do.”
“I can’t just-“
“You can do what you want. You always do anyways.” The words are, somewhere deep down, meant to sting. And Gale wishes he hadn’t said them, but some part of him can’t stand how John’s behavior tonight has left him wounded and defenseless and alone.
“Gale, come on, I know I’m a little late, but I had to-”
“You’re more than a little late.”
Bucky slams a hand down hard and loud on the counter, startling Gale into looking up. He regrets it instantly, the moment he sees the hurt in Gale’s eyes, a sense of betrayal and wariness that Bucky can’t believe he just instigated. “Can you let me speak?” He grits out, forcing a calm into his voice. Gale stays quiet. Bucky sighs and pulls his hand away, curling his fingers tightly in his lap. “I need… I need this to go perfectly.”
“None of it goes perfectly,” Gale bites back. Even though he knows what Bucky meant.
“I know. But I need to be perfect. I need to show them-“
“You don’t need to show anyone anything. You just need to do your job, like always.”
“The stakes are higher this time and you fucking know it.”
Gale clenches his jaw, trying to parse out the anger from the sadness from the worry. “This is about the homophobia.”
“No,” Bucky says too fast. Gale arches an eyebrow. “Maybe,” Bucky relents.
“You won’t talk to me about it.”
“It doesn’t need to be talked about.”
“Clearly it does,” Gale exclaims, spreading his arms out wide. “Everyone is worried about you. Rosie, Marge, and Curt all say you haven’t been the same since the press conference. And they’re right. I’m worried about you.”
“Maybe everyone needs to mind their own business,” Bucky spits out bitterly.
“You’re training too hard.
“I’m going to the moon.”
Gale is quiet for a long time. Because he knows. God, he knows. He knows better than anyone. Bucky is going to the moon. Just a month after they get married. They don’t even have time for a damn honeymoon. And now Gale has to train for Artemis 4. The long days won’t get shorter, the short nights won’t get longer. Often, they barely see each other when they’re not at work or collapsing into bed. They rarely have time alone. Time to talk. Time to be close to each other. They knew this was how it would be, but that doesn’t make it easier.
“We’re getting married first,” Gale says weakly. “That’s… that’s still important, too.”
Bucky sighs and grips his hair in his hands. He can’t bring himself to look at Gale. He doesn’t even know why he says it: “you knew what you signed up for. Sometimes we have to prioritize.”
The echo of cruel words rings in the brief silence that follows. Gale stands up, looking anywhere but at Bucky. “Well,” he scoffs. “Good to know where I stand on your priority list.”
He walks away towards their bedroom, but stops in the hallway. “Dinner’s in the fridge. I made you a plate,” he mutters, and the gesture is kind but the words hit like a ton of bricks. Pepper follows Gale, trotting loyally at his heels, and Bucky hears their bedroom door click shut.
-
He walks through the doors of the Hundred Proof because he doesn’t know where else to go. His head is spinning, pounding with an anger that he isn’t sure is towards Gale or towards himself or towards the assholes of the world who think they get to decide what he is and isn’t worth in the public eye. There’s something else under the anger, too, something that he isn’t ready to name, and it simmers beneath the surface like flames fighting for breath against water.
The bar is always full of familiar faces, but he doesn’t look at a single one. A couple of voices that his brain doesn’t bother putting a name to call out to him, but they let him slip away. He wonders if that’s all it takes to disappear: just act like you don’t hear the words that people throw at you like stones. Except in the real world, they never stop throwing them even if you pretend they don’t hurt. He sits on a stool near the end of the bar and just stares at the astronaut portraits on the wall. Him and Gale. Always him and Gale.
“Can I get you something honey?”
Bucky blinks, adjusting his focus to see Jackie in front of him. She knows something is off, he can tell. He’s alone at the bar around dinner time, without Gale or anyone else, just a couple days before his wedding. All of that, and it’s written all over his face.
“Whiskey,” he says.
She nods and grabs a glass. When she sets it down in front of him, it’s got ice in it. He looks at her, and she looks back. “On the rocks,” she says. Like it’s a challenge. But she smiles softly at him. “Cause I don’t think you want it as much as you think you do.”
Bucky thanks her – he isn’t so far out of it that he won’t be polite to a woman who has looked out for him as long as he’s been in Houston – and he takes a sip. He lets the alcohol sit on his tongue, slide down his throat. He lets it burn, and he sips it again. With a gentleness he doesn’t feel in his heart, his fingers brush across the condensation on the glass, and he thinks about how Gale always does that as a nervous habit when he’s been out a little too long and is starting to get tired of the company.
He takes another sip. It doesn’t burn anymore, and he wishes it would. His throat feels numb like the rest of him, feeling like he’s drifting aimlessly about with no anchor to hold him down. He thinks about Gale. Shakes his head, tries not to think about Gale.
He thinks about the press, shakes his head. Grips the glass too hard. Gets worried he’ll break it and lightens up. Tries not to think about the press.
He thinks about the mission, rubs a hand over his face. Tries, for once, not to think about the mission.
If we’re lucky the fag will die up there.
He holds his breath to keep it from coming too fast. Where would that leave Gale?
He shakes his head, feels his lungs start to hurt as he keeps them from exchanging carbon dioxide for oxygen. Elevated CO2 levels and suffocation are common concerns in a spacecraft, common obstacles that, if not overcome, could be fatal… He gasps quietly and draws burning air into his lungs. The condensation from the glass leaves little droplets of water dripping from his hot fingertips, rolling down and splashing on the wooden bar top. He sips his whiskey and holds his breath again.
He’s getting married in a few days. Right before he leaves the fucking planet. He just spat in his fiancé’s face.
Gale deserves better.
Bucky really might die up there. Is that better?
He shakes his head, decides, firmly, that that thought process is a little too far even for his brand of melodrama. He forces himself to exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, and rubs his whole hand up and down the cool glass, letting it ground him when he has nothing else to keep his wandering mind on this planet.
“You okay, John?” Jackie asks.
What the fuck is he doing here?
He thinks he nods his head, but he isn’t sure. He might shake it instead. He stares at the pictures on the wall. Blinking tiredly, he looks around the bar.
What is he doing here?
He looks at his whiskey glass and raises it to his lips, but he doesn’t take another sip. His mouth tastes bitter all of a sudden. He doesn’t want to be here. Why is he here?
He only came here because he didn’t know where else to go: where do you go when you’ve denied yourself access to the only place you want, no, need to be? He doesn’t want to be here at all.
He can’t be here.
He thanks Jackie in a hurry and tosses some cash on the bar, next to a nearly full glass of whiskey.
-
Gale has only been sitting in the living room, letting himself feel hurt and lost with a dog comfortingly in his lap and the news on in the background, for less than an hour when he hears the front door fly open. Pepper looks at him, as if she’s asking a question, asking permission. He scratches her behind one ear and tells her to “go get ‘im.” Without another thought she flies off the couch and he hears a faint “hey Pep” from the foyer as he gets to his feet.
Bucky, assuming Gale would still be in the kitchen or bedroom, comes barreling in so fast that he bumps into him right in the middle of the living room. After a stunned pause, Bucky wraps his arms tight around Gale. “I’m sorry,” he whispers. “I’m so sorry.”
Gale slowly raises his arms to wrap around Bucky, and he lets his head drop to nestle against Bucky’s neck.
“Can- can we talk?” Bucky asks quietly. His fist is clutching the fabric of Gale’s sweater, and he still feels sick at the whirlwind of unwelcome feelings in his head.
Gale nods against Bucky’s neck, holding him just as hard. He still feels dizzy with the relief of his fiancé choosing to come home to him. “I’d like that.”
–
The night of October 10th, 2025, after an evening of low stakes partying with the entire wedding party, Gale is at home with Marge and Pepper while Bucky crashes with Curt. They’d decided to keep with tradition and stay apart for the night. Tomorrow, they’re getting married, and Bucky feels like he could really use a drink. Curt refuses him – for once, he’d agreed not to be the instigator or enabler. It’s his job as best man to get Bucky down the aisle in one piece, and that includes not being drunk or hungover.
Bucky knows this, and really he’d never disappoint Gale like that, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t use a goddamn drink.
He can’t stop anxiously tapping his fingers, shaking his leg, biting his lip as they watch some crappy movie on TV. Curt wants to smack him to get him to stop, but getting the groom down the aisle in one piece also means no bruises.
After entirely too long of this, Bucky suddenly asks, “What if I’m not good enough?”
Curt nearly chokes on his drink as he splutters in disbelief. The day before the wedding, after knowing Gale for over 15 years and being passionately together for much of that, Bucky questioning himself now is absolutely laughable. Buck and Bucky are not the most stable people in this world, but Curt has never in his life seen a relationship as solid and quite literally bomb-proof as theirs. They bridge the gap between admirable devotion and concerning co-dependency quite flawlessly.
Bucky is furrowing his brow, though, frowning deeply as he clutches the arm of the couch with his right hand and stares at the floor. “What if Gale doesn’t… what if he doesn’t want… me? Anymore.”
“Bucky, what the fuck.” Curt can’t help but actually laugh. Bucky just stares at him with the widest eyes, though, and Curt rubs the bridge of his nose. “I love ya man, but get it together. There hasn’t been a single moment since you two met that Gale hasn’t wanted you.”
“Curt,” Bucky sighs, putting his head in his hands. “I fucked up, man. I… shit, I did and said some things. We’re having a hard time with Artemis you know. I fucked up.”
Curt sets his drink on the coffee table and leans across the couch to put a hand on Bucky’s knee. “Bucky, you both know how this goes. You’ve been through everything together. That man loves ya more than anything in the world, and I don't really get how but he does. So yeah, ya fucked up. But couples fight. You’ll get through it.”
Bucky bites at his lower lip. “What if… what if it gets to be too much? Gale deserves so much better than me. What if I can’t… what if I can’t keep my head straight and…”
Curt tries not to roll his eyes. He is not cut out for this kind of thing. He’s NASA’s least eligible (but he likes to think favorite) bachelor for a reason. “Ok, ya know what, I can’t deal with this.” He pulls out his phone and scrolls through his contacts before pressing call. “Marge, I’ve got a code blue… blue for depressed… Marge, don’t give me that. I’ve got a kicked puppy over here freakin’ the fuck out the night before his wedding cause he thinks he ain’t good enough and Gale’ll quit lovin’ him… yes, I know. I laughed too… I tried… yes I fucking did I don’t need your sass… ok fuck you, I’m putting you on.”
He shoves the phone at Bucky’s face and mouths ‘talk.’
“Hello?” Bucky says into the phone.
“Honey, what’s going on?” Marge asks.
“Curt’s the worst best man is what’s going on.” He glares at Curt who sticks out his tongue as he leans back into the cushions on the other end of the couch.
“Well he called me so he must not be totally useless,” Marge jokes.
Bucky frowns and picks at the fabric of his sweatpants. “I, uh… I guess I’m havin’ cold feet. Is that what they call it?” Marge hums patiently, letting him know he needs to go on. “I just.” He breathes deeply. “I can’t get our fight the other day outta my head, and uh, I still feel shitty about it, you know? And it’s making me nervous about… fuck I don’t know. What if… what if Gale... What if he…”
“Bucky, take a deep breath for me,” Marge says. He follows her instructions. “Now, tell me, do you really think, after all this time and everything you two have been through, you need to be concerned?”
“Yes.”
Curt smacks a palm to his face, and Bucky feels like he can hear Marge doing the same. Curt grabs the phone. “Just put him on,” he demands. Then he hands the phone back to Bucky and there’s rustling on the other end.
Then, “John?”
Bucky bites his lip as his heart starts beating faster. “Hi.”
“What’s wrong?” Gale asks. Something in Bucky crumbles and reassembles at the same time when he hears the warm cadence of his concerned voice.
“People keep asking me that.” Bucky sighs. Then it all comes tumbling out. “I’m sorry, really sorry, about the other day. I didn’t mean what I said. I didn’t mean it. I don’t know why I said it. Everything has been crazy. The press is getting to me and this mission is… it’s big Gale. You know that. And with the wedding, all eyes are gonna be on us more than before. And they’re gonna say things. Shit, they’re already sayin’ things. And there’s been threats and… I should be used to it and I am but… it’s hard sometimes. And I was… I don’t know. I don’t know. I’m sorry I didn’t talk to you about it more. I fucked it, and I was upset and I hurt you and I still feel terrible and… I’m just sorry.”
“I know,” Gale says gently. “We talked through it that night, remember?”
“I know.” Bucky feels dangerously close to crying and he hates it. Gale’s voice is exactly what he needs to hear and it kills him anyways. “I can’t get it all outta my head. The mission, the wedding, the press. And it’s just, it feels like too much. And I’m… They… they want me to die up there. What if I… and then you’re…” He can’t even speak the words. He’s been a pilot for over a decade now, and he’s barely ever given the prospect of death a thought. But the idea of tying himself to Gale only to… well, only to miss out on their future. Only to leave Gale on his own… he can’t even think about it.
“It’s gonna be alright,” Gale reassures him. “Y’all are the best damn crew in the agency, John. The risks have never stopped me loving you before.”
“God, Gale, I’m fucking scared.” He hates to say it out loud, this feeling that he long ago decided he isn’t allowed to have. But if he doesn’t say it to someone, he feels like he might self-destruct. And if he can’t say it to Gale, he can’t say it to anyone.
“You don’t need to be, darling,” Gale says. “I’m right here with you.”
“But what if… what if you change your mind?” Bucky feels so small, and his voice sounds far away to his own ears, infinitesimal, like screaming into a void.
But Gale chuckles softly and Bucky just cannot understand why that question is so funny to everyone. Until Gale starts to speak, his voice measured and gentle and emotional and everything Bucky loves about it. “John Egan, I loved you the moment you barreled into my life, and I have loved you every moment since,” he says. “I have loved you with my entire being, my body, my heart, and my soul for over 15 years. I don’t know how not to love you anymore, and I don’t want to know.”
Bucky feels the forbidden tears prick at the corners of his eyes, but Gale is just getting started. “Because no matter where we go, or what we do, I want you there. We were just kids when we met. Now we’re pilots, Air Force officers, astronauts. We’ve seen and done incredible things that most people can only dream of, and now we’re both going to the moon. But even with all of that, today is the day that makes everything worth it, because you are the person who makes everything in my life worth it.”
He trails off, and Bucky takes a deep breath, wiping at his eyes, willing himself not to break down right there and then.
“Are those your vows?” He manages to choke out.
“Part of ‘em.”
“Aren’t you supposed to save them for tomorrow?”
Gale lets a brief silence linger between them. Then he says, “seemed like you needed to hear them now.” When Bucky is quiet, he adds “I can’t wait to marry you, John.”
“Well now I really have to step up my vows,” Bucky laughs shakily. “Gotta tell my bride everything he deserves to hear.”
Gale ignores the bride comment. “You’ve always been enough for me. You always will be.”
When they hang up, Bucky doesn’t know if he wants to laugh or cry, so he grins like a maniac at the phone on the table and Curt sighs dramatically in relief.

| by wudlund
i wanted to create a legacy challenge that focusses on the parent-child relationship and how that impacts their adult life. (i know growing together would be the perfect pack for this challenge, but i can't afford it rip)
-> this has not been playtested so pls let me know if anything is too difficult or doesn't work :)
-> included packs: get to work, outdoor retreat/jungle adventure, city living, get together, seasons, cats & dogs, discover university, high school years, parenthood, strangerville, island living, paranormal stuff, snowy escape, cottage living, nifty knitting, eco lifestyle (if you don't have a pack, just exclude that part of the challenge)
-> for each generation, they should complete their aspiration, master any skill(s) i've outlined, complete a collection and master their career (if relevant) the recommended world is only my opinion, you do not have to live there :)
-> whenever 'parent' is mentioned, i mean the founder/heir before as some generations do not specify a spouse (they are secondary characters here, babes)

- Hiatus Update -
𓆞𓆝 𓆟 𓆞𓆝 𓆟 𓆞𓆝 𓆟 𓆞𓆝 𓆟 𓆞𓆝 𓆟 𓆞𓆝 𓆟 𓆞𓆝
I will be going on maternity from Sunday October 7th to Sunday December 2nd. Given the current symptoms & circumstances, it is believed that I will be going into labor essentially any day now between this week or next week.
"But Bella, what does this mean?"
It means that I will likely be re-installing the Sims 3 back on my computer and playing a vanilla game with the bare essentials to ensure smooth gameplay (No CC unless a select few default replacements). This is primarily so I have a coping mechanism that has worked for me over the course of several years handy during times of stress or emotional turmoil as I navigate motherhood as a freshly postpartum new mama.
That said, I cannot guarantee a time that I will be back to posting regularly, uploading gifts or being more active in the community. My primary focus will be on my daughter & recovery. In the meantime, on occasion I do hop on discord or scroll through my feed here on Simblr. You all are always welcome to send an ask or message me at anytime. I just can't promise that I will be able to reply right away.
I miss you all & I hope everyone is safe and healthy. Remember, please be nice to each other. If there is a new Simblr, ensure they feel welcomed in the sims community. There is a horrible amount of chaos and negative energy in the world today. Let's make this a safe haven for everyone, shall we?
